Avec la toute première BMW Série 2 Gran Coupé, le concept de coupé à quatre portes salué par le public dans les gammes de carrosserie supérieures est transposé pour la première fois dans le segment compact premium.
Avec la toute première BMW Série 2 Gran Coupé (consommation de
carburant en cycle mixte : 7,1 - 4,2 l/100 km ; émissions de CO2
en cycle mixte : 162 – 110 g/km*), le concept de coupé à quatre
portes salué par le public dans les gammes de carrosserie
supérieures est transposé pour la première fois dans le segment
compact premium. Ce nouveau modèle séduit par son caractère
affirmé et son esthétique soignée et propose une expérience
riche en émotion. Il se distingue également par le caractère
innovant de son système de commande et de son offre de
connectivité, par son aptitude élevée à l’usage quotidien et par
son dynamisme typique des modèles de la marque.
La BMW Série 2 Gran Coupé sera dévoilée en exclusivité
mondiale au Salon de Los Angeles en novembre 2019. Le lancement
commercial est prévu pour mars 2020.
La BMW Série 2 Gran Coupé se caractérise notamment par sa
silhouette élancée dynamique, ses quatre vitres latérales sans
cadre et ses feux arrière qui s’étirent jusqu’au milieu de la
poupe et se fondent dans la baguette en noir finition brillante
qui encadre l’emblème BMW au centre du bouclier arrière.
La BMW Série 2 Gran Coupé mesure 4 526 mm de long et 1 800 mm
de large, pour une hauteur de 1 420 mm. En dépit de son allure
élancée et sportive, elle offre aux occupants un espace
particulièrement généreux grâce à son empattement de 2 670 mm.
Enfin, le coffre bénéficie d’un volume de 430 l pouvant être
accru de différentes façons.
Proue dynamique caractérisée par sa réinterprétation des
signatures visuelles de la marque : phares légèrement inclinés
(projecteurs Full LED de série) formant le design « quatre yeux
» de BMW et soulignant les lignes de la double calandre typique
de BMW, particulièrement large et réalisée d’un seul tenant.
Son allure dynamique en atteste : la BMW Série 2 Gran Coupé a
tous les atouts pour s’imposer comme la nouvelle référence de
son segment en matière de sportivité. Elle doit ses performances
impressionnantes à l’architecture BMW sophistiquée de sa
transmission avant, qui compte parmi les nombreuses innovations
technologiques que la BMW Série 2 Gran Coupé partage avec la
nouvelle BMW Série 1.
Le système de limitation du patinage des roues à proximité de
l’actionneur (ARB), déjà mis en œuvre sur la BMW i3
(consommation électrique en cycle mixte : 14,6 – 14 kWh/100 km,
émissions de CO2 en cycle mixte : 0 g/km**) permet de corriger
le glissement des roues beaucoup plus rapidement et avec une
plus grande précision.
Le système ARB est épaulé par le système BMW Performance
Control, qui accroît l’agilité de la voiture en virage en
appliquant un freinage ciblé sur les roues situées à l’intérieur
de la courbe avant que le seuil de glissement ne soit atteint et
assure un comportement de direction neutre.
Véritable fleuron de sportivité, la BMW M235i xDrive est dotée
de série de la transmission intégrale BMW xDrive, d’un
différentiel mécanique Torsen à glissement limité, de la
direction DirectDrive et des Freins M Sport. La boîte de
vitesses automatique Sport à 8 rapports avec palettes au volant
comprend le mode Launch Control. Le design maillé en relief de
style Mesheffect qui remplace les barreaux de la double calandre
est inspiré des voitures de course et apporte une touche
d’élégance supplémentaire.
Outre la variante BMW M235i xDrive, les clients peuvent
choisir parmi trois finitions : Luxury, M Sport et Business
Design (réservée aux clients professionnels).
Un moteur Diesel et deux blocs essence sont proposés au
lancement : le moteur essence trois cylindres de la BMW 218i,
qui développe 140 ch (103 kW), le moteur diesel quatre cylindres
de la BMW 220d, qui délivre 190 ch (140 kW), et le moteur quatre
cylindres de la BMW M235i xDrive, le plus puissant de BMW Group,
qui délivre 306 ch (225 kW). Les trois moteurs satisfont aux
critères stricts de la norme d’émissions Euro 6d-TEMP.
La BMW Série 2 Gran Coupé bénéficie de systèmes d’assistance
innovants ayant fait leur preuve sur les modèles des séries BMW
supérieures. L'avertisseur de franchissement de voie avec
maintien dans la voie et l’avertisseur de collision avec système
de détection des piétons et freinage automatique à faible
vitesse sont proposés de série en Europe, tout comme le Park
Assist avec caméra de recul et assistant de marche arrière
Auto-Reverse. Le régulateur de vitesse actif, le Drive Assist
avec avertisseur d'angle mort, l’avertisseur de risque de
collision avant et arrière et l’alerte de trafic transversal
sont disponibles en option.
La BMW Série 2 Gran Coupé peut être verrouillée et
déverrouillée depuis un smartphone avec la BMW Digital Key
(optionnelle, avec l'Accès Confort). Cette clé numérique permet
également de démarrer le moteur en plaçant le smartphone dans
son compartiment.
Le BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant fait également partie du
concept de commande et d’exploitation du nouveau modèle. Ce
véritable expert digital BMW peut apprendre les habitudes et la
routine des utilisateurs pour ensuite adapter ses interventions
en fonction du contexte. Il peut également faire la
conversation, faire une plaisanterie de temps à autre ou
raconter des histoires intéressantes. Cet assistant est de série
sur les finitions Luxury, M Sport et Business Design, tout comme
le BMW Live Cockpit Navigation Pro et ses deux écrans de 10,25".
Avec les services Connected Navigation, des informations
internes et externes peuvent être prises en compte dans le
calcul des itinéraires, ce qui permet par exemple au conducteur
d’envoyer des destinations depuis différentes applications
directement dans le système de navigation de la voiture, de les
enregistrer et de les synchroniser.
