ビー・エム・ダブリュー株式会社（代表取締役社長:クリスチャン・ヴィードマン）は、2021年秋に正式な発売を予定している電気自動車「新型BMW iX （アイエックス）」の予約注文の受付を、BMWオンライン・ストア（https://online-store.bmw.co.jp/）において、本日より開始すると発表した。納車開始は、2021年秋以降を予定している。
 
新型BMW iXは、成功を収めているスポーツ・アクティビティ・ビークル（SAV）コンセプトに、サステイナビリティ、インテリアの広さと快適性を加えた、新型モデルである。BMW X5の全長および全幅、BMW X6の全高、BMW X7のホイール・サイズによるパワフルなプロポーションを兼ね備え、インテリアは、高級感、ラウンジのような雰囲気を演出している。
 
第5世代BMW eDriveテクノロジーの採用により、100kWh以上の高電圧バッテリーを搭載し、最大で600km*以上もの長距離を走行可能である。
