Munich/Cernobbio. As part of the prestigious Concorso
d'Eleganza Villa d'Este at Lake Como, BMW Motorrad unveils its latest
creation for the superbike segment: the BMW Motorrad Concept RR as the
ultimate performance statement in terms of technology and design for
the future generation of BMW RR models.

Markus Flasch, Head of BMW Motorrad: "Never before has BMW
Motorrad provided such an early glimpse into a future generation of
the RR models. The BMW Motorrad
Concept RR is a true masterpiece
of our development team, both technically and in terms of design
language. Guided and inspired by the BMW Motorrad factory
superbike
M 1000 RR, with which BMW Motorrad factory rider Toprak
Razgatlioğlu was able to dominantly win the FIM World Superbike
Championship last year, the Concept RR offers a true firework of
superlatives for both street and track use. The transfer from racing
to road has never been shown more clearly. It represents BMW
Motorrad's leadership claim to offer the highest engineering level and
maximum performance in this segment."

Maximum performance, based on the BMW factory superbike.

BMW Motorrad engages in motorsport out of passion and conviction – on
the tracks of the FIM Superbike World Championship as well as in
numerous national and international championships. Every day, the BMW
Motorrad team lives the symbiosis of engineering excellence and an
unyielding drive for top performance anew. This dedication is
reflected in every detail of our superbikes, and the valuable insights
gained from racing are incorporated into our production models.

In terms of propulsion, the BMW Motorrad Concept RR relies on the
water-cooled inline four-cylinder engine of the world champion machine
from the FIM Superbike World Championship, which already delivers more
than 230 hp (169 kW). This promises pure adrenaline in terms of
propulsion and reinforces the leadership claim in the superbike
segment. Accompanying this are the electronic control and regulation
systems that come directly from the WSBK M 1000 RR, such as the engine
management, traction control, and engine brake.

New benchmark in terms of lightweight construction and aerodynamics.

By innovative manufacturing techniques and the use of high-tech
materials such as carbon and aluminum, the BMW Motorrad Concept RR
sets new benchmarks in lightweight construction. From the frame to the
smallest component, every detail is consistently optimized for
lightweight construction and performance. The design also follows this
principle: sharp, purposeful, expressive - with an embossed RR logo on
the tail and an illuminated RR symbol on the downside of the delicate
aluminum tail.

The BMW Motorrad engineers placed special emphasis on aerodynamics,
particularly on the challenging objectives of "riding stability
at very high speeds," "maximum cornering speeds," and
"minimal air resistance for optimal top speed." These
competing goals are realized by the Concept RR through an
unprecedentedly compact package, reduced external attachments, and
enhanced precision of airflow, even through the motorcycle – from the
ventilated front to the monolithic, also ventilated, aerodynamically
optimized rear.

In addition, the concept bike is equipped with an aerodynamically
optimized fairing with integrated winglets and high-performance brakes
– uncompromisingly perfected for ambitious super-sporty use on the
road up to professional racing.

The matching outfit – the jacket Concept RR LTD.

BMW Motorrad has been consistently implementing the claim to make
motorcycling as safe and comfortable as possible with perfectly
designed clothing, while also stylishly shaping the motorcycle
lifestyle with attractive fashion, for more then 45 years. Today, it
offers a comprehensive program of Riders Gear and Casual Wear. Once
again, the maxim for BMW Motorrad is: Make existing things even better
and simultaneously develop new innovative solutions. Accordingly, on
the occasion of the presentation of the
BMW Motorrad Concept RR,
a unique lifestyle jacket was developed:
the Concept RR LTD
jacket, limited to 50 units. A masterpiece made of fine calf Nappa
leather, crafted in cooperation with the traditional Bavarian company
MEINDL, this jacket combines motorsport flair with the highest
craftsmanship and exclusivity.

Press Contact: Dominic Thoennes
Tel: +49-151-601-12378
E-mail: dominic.thoennes@bmwgroup.com

Concept Vehicles & Design,S 1000 RR,K Series,S Series,Product,BMW Motorrad

The new BMW M 1000 RR, BMW S 1000 RR, BMW M 1000 R, and BMW S
1000 R: The superbikes and hyper naked bikes are set to enter the
upcoming season with even more dynamism.
Both the
superbikes M 1000 RR and S 1000 RR, as well as the emotional hyper
naked bikes
M 1000 R and S 1000 R, have been technically and
visually updated and come with expanded standard features for the
upcoming motorcycle season. Common changes include the Euro 5+
homologation of the engines and the inclusion of the M short-stroke
throttle with a reduced rotation angle.

BMW M 1000 RR: Drastically Increased Performance through More
Power, Enhanced Downforce, and Steering Angle Sensor Technology.

The new M 1000 RR – abbreviated as M RR – benefits from a significant
power increase of the inline-four engine by 4 kW (6 hp) to 160 kW (218
hp) thanks to an extensive package of measures.

Additionally, it features optimized aerodynamics through a newly
designed front fairing. The newly constructed M Winglets 3.0, with
drastically increased downforce, support even faster lap times on the
racetrack. Furthermore, the Flex Frame has been further developed and
now includes a new engine mount on the left side.

BMW Motorrad has also made improvements to the control systems. The
Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) now features the new Slide Control
function thanks to steering angle sensor technology. This has resulted
in a new subdivision of the DTC into Slip Control and Slide Control.
The introduction of steering angle sensor technology has also led to
the new Brake Slide Assist function of the BMW Race ABS Pro. Combined
with the M short-stroke throttle, this results in significantly
increased performance and control.

As before, the new M RR is offered in two versions: the M 1000 RR
base variant in the primary color Lightwhite uni and the
M 1000
RR M Competition in the primary color Blackstorm metallic, each
combined with graphics in M colors.

BMW S 1000 RR: Even higher track performance and significantly
enhanced standard features.
The S 1000 RR –
abbreviated as Double-R – has been significantly refined, especially
for track use. The M short-stroke throttle allows the S 1000 RR to
respond even more directly to every command at the throttle, new
winglets provide increased downforce, a new front wheel cover with
integrated brake ducts improves brake cooling, and new fairing side
panels offer a more striking design.

Additionally, the standard features of the Double-R have been
significantly enhanced. The Pro riding modes are now standard,
including additional "Race Pro" modes, two more combinations
of throttle response and engine torque, as well as the Engine Brake
and Hill Start Control Pro functions, five-level adjustable ABS in the
"Race Pro" modes, and the ABS setting "Slick." The
Dynamic Brake Control (DBC) is also a new standard feature.

The new S 1000 RR is offered in three attractive color schemes: the
base variant in Blackstorm metallic, the Sport model variant in
Bluestone metallic with matte graphic applications, and the M
Motorsport variant in Lightwhite uni/M Motorsport in combination with
the M package.

BMW M 1000 R: Refinement for the M Hyper Naked
Bike.
For the upcoming season, the M 1000 R –
abbreviated as M R – has received a more dynamic design with the new
dual-flow LED headlight derived from the RR models and the M logo in
the air intake between the headlights.

The new M 1000 R is available as a base variant in the color scheme
Lightwhite uni/M Motorsport and in the new color White Aluminium
metallic matt. In the M Competition equipment variant, this paint is
also available alongside the color scheme Blackstorm metallic/M Motorsport.

In all color schemes, the rear frame and swingarm of the new model
year are in Platinum Grey metallic. The winglets are finished in black
textured paint, and the covers for the clutch and generator are also
coated in black.

The traction control DTC has also been revised. The control strategy
has been derived from the RR models and, in combination with the M
short-stroke throttle, brings a noticeable improvement, especially in
Race mode for track days.

An expanded range of Original BMW Motorrad accessories and special
equipment completes the scope of changes.

BMW S 1000 R: Hyper Naked Bike with increased power and
enhanced standard features.
The hyper naked bike S
1000 R – abbreviated as Single-R – now starts with an even more
powerful inline-four engine, offering 125 kW (170 hp). A shorter final
drive ratio enhances sprint performance. The optimized standard Shift
Assistant Pro supports even smoother gear changes. Combined with the
new M short-stroke throttle, this results in a significantly more
dynamic setup and noticeably better acceleration in all situations.
Additionally, the traction control DTC of the S 1000 R benefits from
the revisions made to the DTC from the M 1000 R, further enhancing its performance.

The new Single-R also receives the new dual-flow LED headlight
derived from the RR models, providing a more striking appearance. The
expanded standard features of the
S 1000 R include the engine
drag torque control (MSR) with configurable "Engine Brake,"
a short license plate holder, a USB-C charging socket under the seat,
and the intelligent emergency call E-Call.

The new Single-R is offered in three attractive color schemes: the
base variant in Blackstorm metallic, the Sport model variant in
Bluefire/Mugiallo Yellow, and in combination with the M package in
Lightwhite uni/M Motorsport.

Munich. BMW Motorrad is introducing the new S 1000
XR, an enhanced version of the successful long-distance sports bike
and multiple test winner. Increased engine power, improved ergonomics,
design refinements, and expanded standard features define the model's upgrades.

The reworked in-line 4-cylinder engine now delivers even more
impressive performance, with a flow-optimised geometry for the
intake channels and a power output of 125 kW (170
hp).
The new S 1000 XR still shares its in-line
4-cylinder engine with the
S 1000 RR, providing a smooth and
powerful torque delivery and a harmonious power characteristic that
contributes to excellent rideability. Compared to the predecessor
model, the engine power has been increased by 4 kW (5 hp) to now 125
kW (170 hp) at an unchanged nominal engine speed of 11,000 rpm. The
main reasons for the performance increase are a flow-optimised
geometry of the intake channels and a customised mapping. The maximum
torque generated is still 114 Nm at 9,250 rpm.

Improved ergonomics thanks to new seat and even sportier rear
section.
In order to provide even more freedom of
movement, especially during high-performance riding on country roads
and race tracks, the seat of the long-distance sports bike has been
completely redesigned. It now offers an extra 10 mm of seat height
(850 mm) and provides more space for the buttocks by increasing the
usable length and width of the seat, allowing for better adjustment of
the seating position depending on the riding conditions. The improved
ergonomics make it easier for riders to manoeuvre the
S 1000 XR
on the road or on the race track, providing even better control. A
total of three different seat heights are available.

The new S 1000 XR also benefits from redesigned elements in its
design. The rear section now features new side panels and air intakes
inspired by motorsports, giving it a more dynamic look. Additionally,
the radiator trim now has a textured surface, and the previously
black-coloured “beak” fender is now painted in body colour.

Extended range of standard equipment and new optional extras
/ Original BMW Motorrad Accessories.
The new S
1000 XR comes with an expanded standard equipment list. As part of the
standard equipment, Headlight Pro provides additional
safety during night-time rides with its adaptive turning light. The
rider benefits from improved road illumination in corners. The
package also includes Daytime Running Lights (DRL) for better vehicle
recognition during the day. Keyless Ride and a
12 Ah capacity battery are now standard features.
Additionally, the new BMW S 1000 XR is equipped with a USB
charging option as standard.

Other updates include the availability of the E-Call
feature in the USA, the option to equip the S 1000 XR with
the optional M GPS Laptrigger, and the availability
of
M Carbon wheels as a new optional extra or as
Original BMW Motorcycle accessories.

Three new attractive colour options.
Three new
colour options reflect the dynamic character of the new BMW S 1000 XR.

• Blackstorm metallic

• Gravityblue metallic

• Lightwhite solid paint/Motorsport
(in conjunction with the M package and M seat).

The key innovations of the new BMW S 1000 XR:

• Engine power has been increased by 4 kW (5 hp) to now
125 kW (170 hp) at 11,000 rpm (previously 121 kW (165 hp)).
Munich. Since its start of production in 2009, the
BMW S 1000 RR has been synonymous with the highest level of riding
dynamics among superbikes - both on the road and on the race track.
Thanks to constant and above all consistent further development, it
has been able to defend its leading role in this segment to this day -
in its third edition since 2019.

With the M Performance Parts accessories range, BMW Motorrad is
now going one step further by offering a carefully matched range of
special parts for the new BMW S 1000 RR similar to the offer available
for BMW M automobiles. These components have been developed based on
the brand’s extensive racing experience - with the aim of further
enhancing the driving dynamics of the new S 1000 RR not only for road
use, but especially on the race track. Accordingly, the M Performance
Parts accessories range includes not only parts for reducing bike
weight but also a number of specialised functional parts.

Particularly light and robust carbon fibre parts are available
for the body and fairing areas: M Carbon airbox cover, M Carbon chain
guard in conjunction with M Carbon rear wheel cover, M Carbon front
wheel cover, M Carbon sprocket cover, M Carbon fuel tank cover
left/right, M Carbon fairing side panel top left/top right. The new S
1000 RR can also be perfectly ergonomically adapted to the size of the
rider thanks to three different seat variants - M sports seat, M seat
high, M seat low.

The M Performance Parts range also includes different footrest
versions. The standard footrest system of the S 1000 RR can be
upgraded with the M rider's footrests left/right and the M passenger
footrests left/right. An M rider's footrest system left/right,
especially designed for racetrack use, also offers further ergonomic
adjustment options.

Extensive racing experience was also applied to the adjustable
and folding M handbrake lever. For racetrack use, the M remote
adjuster for the front brake also allows the rider to adjust the lever
travel while riding from the left-hand end of the handlebars. On the
left-hand side of the handlebars the folding M clutch lever is the
corresponding counterpart to the handbrake lever. The M handbrake
lever protector and the M clutch lever protector are available for
both levers. In addition, the standard handlebar version of the S 1000
RR can be replaced with the M fork clamp for stub handlebars
left/right for making individual ergonomic adjustments.

Two different M Performance wheel sets optimise acceleration,
deceleration, handling as well as suspension and damping response.
While the M forged wheel made of high-strength forged aluminium
already offers advantages in this respect both at the front and at the
rear, the M Carbon front wheel and M Carbon rear wheel made of
lightweight carbon fibre almost perfectly exploit every possibility
for reducing unsprung and rotational masses. The parts range for the
wheels also features the M axle protectors.

M Performance Parts also include further lightweight components
such as the M chain tensioner and the M lightweight battery. The new
range for the S 1000 RR is rounded off by the mounting stand adapter
set and the M cover kit.
Munich/Los Angeles.
Everyone knows Orlando Bloom as a successful actor, but not
everyone knows about his passion for motorbikes. As a long-standing
fan of BMW motorcycles, Orlando Bloom owns and rides a number of BMW
models, including old classics.

For his own custom bike project he specifically chose the BMW S
1000 R.

He asked his good friend, Michael "Woolie" Woolaway,
head of the Deus Ex Machina custom shop in Venice, CA, USA, to work
with him to bring his custom S 1000 R vision into reality.

The result of the cooperation, is a stunning one-off 4 cylinder bike.

The S 1000 R Custom and Orlando Bloom had their first test ride
in the Malibu Hills while shooting "4CYL", a production by
Arthur de Kersauson and Clement Beauvais in cooperation with BMW Motorrad.
