<strong>Munich. </strong>BMW M GmbH once again achieved outstanding
sales growth in 2025. For no less than the 14th time in a row, the
manufacturer of high-performance and performance vehicles reported
record sales. And for the 7th time running, BMW M GmbH vehicles
outsold their competitors by a considerable margin. A sales total of
213,457 vehicles surpassed the previous year’s excellent result
(206,582 vehicles) by three per cent. Both the high-performance and
performance models set new benchmarks. Keys to success in all markets
are a state-of-the-art model range spanning many vehicle classes and
an extensive portfolio of powertrain options. In 2025, nearly every
tenth BMW sold was a BMW M model. This share of 9.8 per cent
  represents another milestone.</p>
<p>“Our 14th consecutive sales record validates our strategy. We will
continue to offer performance and high-performance vehicles across the
entire BMW model range. With fully electric, partly electric and
all-ICE powertrains,” says Franciscus van Meel, CEO of BMW M GmbH.</p>
<p>
  <strong>High-performance executive models drive
  growth.<br /></strong>The high-performance models from BMW M GmbH
combine racetrack capabilities with unrestricted everyday usability.
BMW M5 models became key growth drivers in 2025. The BMW M5 Sedan
(energy consumption, weighted, combined: 17.6–17.2 kWh/100 km and
5.0–4.8 l/100 km (WLTP); CO2 emissions, weighted, combined:
114–108 g/km (WLTP); CO2 classes: with discharged battery
G, weighted, combined C; fuel consumption with discharged battery:
  10.7–10.5 l/100 km (WLTP))*,1 and the BMW M5 Touring
(energy consumption, weighted, combined: 18.1–17.6 kWh/100 km and
5.3–5.0 l/100 km (WLTP); CO2 emissions, weighted, combined:
119–114 g/km (WLTP); CO2 classes: with discharged battery
G, weighted, combined D–C; fuel consumption with discharged battery:
10.9–10.7 l/100 km (WLTP))*,1 saw enormous sales increases
in their first full year on the markets, making them key contributors
to the success of BMW M GmbH. Both vehicles offer a model-specific
version of the M HYBRID system with a peak output of 535 kW/727 hp and
  a maximum system torque of 1,000 Nm. A high-revving V8 engine with M
TwinPower Turbo technology and an electric motor combine with an
eight-speed M Steptronic transmission to provide power to the M xDrive
all-wheel drive system. The great appeal of the BMW M5 Touring was
underscored by a “Golden Steering Wheel” award. This accolade is
awarded by “Auto Bild” and “Bild am Sonntag”, both published by the
German Axel Springer SE publishing house. The high-performance model
achieved the highest points score of all finalists in the competition.
Moreover, the distinguished jury rated the BMW M5 Touring ahead of the
other class finalists in all driving disciplines, as well as in terms
of efficiency and value for money.</p>
<p>The BMW M2 Coupé (fuel consumption, combined: 10.2–9.7 l/100 km;
  CO2 emissions, combined: 230–221 g/km (WLTP),
  CO2 class: G)* was the best-selling high-performance
vehicle of 2025. This model is also available with a manual
  transmission (fuel consumption, combined: 10.2–9.7 l/100 km;
  CO2 emissions, combined: 230–221 g/km (WLTP),
CO2 class: G)* and as an even more track-focused BMW M2 CS
  special model (fuel consumption, combined: 10.0 l/100 km;
  CO2 emissions, combined: 226 g/km (WLTP), CO2
class: G)*. This delivers 390 kW/530 hp of power and recently set a
new record time of 7:25.5 minutes on the Nürburgring.</p>
<p>
<strong>Favourite among performance enthusiasts: the BMW M3
family.<br /></strong>The BMW M3 models are another family of
high-performance best-sellers. The series impresses with perfectly
tailored model variants and includes sedans with various output
levels. The BMW M3 entry-level model is a particularly purist vehicle
that comes with a six-speed manual transmission and 353 kW/480 hp of
power (fuel consumption, combined: 10.1 l/100 km; CO2
  emissions, combined: 230–229 g/km (WLTP), CO2 class: G)*.
Then there are the extremely popular Touring variants. 2025 also saw
the launch of the BMW M3 CS Touring (fuel consumption, combined: 10.5
  l/100 km; CO2 emissions, combined: 238 g/km (WLTP),
CO2 class: G)*, the most sporting exemplar with 405 kW/551
hp. The large number of BMW M3 family sales is a clear sign of the
model series’ continued allure and represents a major contribution to
the new record of almost 71,500 high-performance vehicles sold.</p>
<p>
  <strong>M Performance model is BMW M GmbH best-seller.<br /></strong>A
particularly popular model and also the best-selling BMW M GmbH
vehicle of 2025 was the BMW X3 M50 (fuel consumption, combined: 8.3
  l/100 km; CO<sub>2</sub> emissions, combined: 189 g/km (WLTP);
CO2 class: G)*. The top athlete in the premium mid-size SAV
segment offers unique performance capabilities and a charismatic
appearance. The M TwinPower Turbo engine, combined with 48-volt mild
hybrid technology, delivers a maximum system output of 293 kW/398 hp.
The power of the BMW X3 M50 is complemented by specific chassis
technology and signature M design elements. With these attributes, it
overtook the BMW i4 and its M60 Gran Coupé xDrive variant (energy
  consumption, combined (WLTP): 20.9 kWh/100 km; CO2
  emissions, combined (WLTP): 0 g/km, CO2 class: A)*, which
delivers an output of 442 kW/601 hp and a range of up to 551 km. The
electric BMW i4 range-topper was the best-selling BMW M GmbH model
  from 2022 to 2024. </p>
<p>In 2025, nearly every tenth BMW sold was a BMW M model, and the sales
share of 9.8 per cent (9.4 per cent in the year prior) represents
another new record. BMW M vehicles are especially popular in
Switzerland, where nearly every fourth BMW ordered is a BMW M model. </p>
<p>
<strong>Exceptional sales total, top spots in the individual
markets.<br /></strong>In the key markets, BMW M GmbH vehicles led the
field, beating their competitors by a considerable margin. The models
were particularly coveted in the U.S., the largest single market at
over 72,000 units sold. But BMW M models also achieved top positions
in markets such as Canada, Germany, Korea, South Africa and the United
Kingdom. In China, BMW M GmbH achieved its largest absolute sales increase.</p>
<p>
<strong>Focused model strategy to secure and expand top
  position.<br /></strong>The state-of-the-art model portfolio with its
comprehensive range of ICE, plug-in hybrid and all-electric vehicles
is at the heart of BMW M GmbH success. The development of models based
on the Neue Klasse will provide further momentum. “Our strategy of
being open towards new technologies once again paid off in 2025. BMW M
GmbH stands for optimal performance, independently of the powertrain
type. In all markets and across all vehicle classes. Customers looking
for a performance or high-performance vehicle will always find it at
BMW M GmbH”, says Sylvia Neubauer, Vice President Customer, Brand,
  Sales at BMW M GmbH.</p>
<p>
<strong>Motorsport remains a key pillar at BMW M
  GmbH.<br /></strong>The BMW M Motorsport race cars – the BMW M Hybrid
  V8, the BMW M4 GT3 EVO and the BMW M4 GT4 EVO – achieved a total of
more than 180 victories in 2025. In works motorsport, the BMW M Hybrid
V8 delivered a competitive performance in the first half of the FIA
WEC season and the BMW M GmbH marks 14th consecutive record year. The
best result of a season marked by highs and lows was the 1-2 finish at
Road America. The BMW M4 GT3 EVO had a tremendous season. While the
1-2 victory at the Bathurst 12 Hour race in Australia was still won by
the predecessor model, the EVO version seamlessly continued the series
with top results. Triumphs at the Nürburgring 24 Hours (Germany), the
Suzuka 1000 (Japan), the Indianapolis 8 Hour race and in the GTD Pro
Class at the 6 Hours of the Glen and the Petit Le Mans (both U.S.) are
among the highlights of a season that saw over 80 victories and 100
  further podium finishes.</p>
<p>Teams driving the BMW M4 GT4 EVO achieved over 100 victories in the
2025 season. More than any other model, the BMW M4 GT4 is associated
with customer racing. The victory in the SP10 at the Nürburgring 24
Hours was a particular high point. In the Nürburgring
Langstrecken-Serie (NLS) racing series, these vehicles came out on top
in nine out of ten races. Moreover, the BMW M4 GT4 EVO triumphed in
all classes at the GT4 America. The strong results of the GT4 teams
helped BMW M Motorsport secure the SRO manufacturers’ title in the GT4
segment. The 2026 season will see the debut of the BMW M2 Racing as a
new entry-level vehicle complementing the model portfolio for customer racing.</p>

<strong>Munich. </strong>BMW Customer Service has its customers’
backs. The new “Relax. We Care.” campaign showcases this aspect with a
quirky sense of humour. It is now available to view on social media.</p>
<p>Anything that can go wrong will go wrong – and this is also the theme
of the new short film for the annual BMW Customer Service campaign.
“The Thief” is a story about a marriage proposal and a thief, with all
kinds of surprising twists and turns. Larger than life, told with
tongue firmly in cheek, and great attention to detail.</p>
<p>As in the previous films “The Park” (<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tD9TJrcp5AM">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tD9TJrcp5AM</a>)
  and “The Storm” (<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E1_Vv7Fb4Bk">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E1_Vv7Fb4Bk</a>),
the BMW as the silent protagonist suffers plenty of indignities.
Scratches, dents, shattered glass and broken-off parts are the visible
result of these unexpected adventures. Just as well the professionals
from BMW Service and Original BMW Parts are there to repair the damage
and bring the claim “Relax. We Care.” to life.</p>
<p>The “Relax. We Care.” campaign was produced by the digital agency
Monks. The short film “The Thief” is available to view from 19 March
  at <a href="https://youtu.be/z0zKyLufPTI" target="_blank">https://youtu.be/z0zKyLufPTI</a></p>

<strong>Munich.</strong> Electric drivetrain upgrades, new engine
variants, as well as additional standard and optional equipment
features will make the current BMW model range even more attractive
and versatile in spring 2025. The use of new components for the power
electronics and other measures designed to optimise efficiency have
resulted in a considerably increased range for the all-electric
BMW i5. Standard equipment on all BMW 5 Series models will soon
include ambient lighting complete with a BMW Interaction Bar featuring
a crystalline surface, lumbar support for both front seats as well as
the Harman Kardon HiFi loudspeaker system. </p>
<p>Two new variants of the new BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé will become
available in April 2025. The BMW X3 model range will likewise be
expanded, with a powerful six-cylinder in-line diesel engine. Almost
50 per cent higher charging rates – that’s the news for the plug-in
hybrid variants of the BMW X1, BMW 2 Series Active Tourer, BMW 7
Series and the BMW XM models. With the BMW Digital Key Plus, owners
can, depending on the type of mobile device, activate up to 18 digital
vehicle keys with individually configured access permissions. The new
tyre repair kit Plus will become part of the standard equipment for
selected BMW models from March 2025. It enables owners to continue
their journey even with a tyre puncture. Adaptive LED Headlights will
become part of the standard equipment for the BMW X5 and BMW X6 models
  in spring 2025. </p>
<p> </p>
<p>
<strong>BMW i5 and BMW i5 Touring now even more energy-efficient.</strong></p>
<p>From March 2025 the all-electric models of the BMW 5 Series Sedan and
BMW 5 Series Touring will benefit from a number of technical advances
that reduce their energy consumption. The result is a noticeably
greater range, with an increase of up to 47 kilometres (depending on
the model and equipment installed as part of an individual vehicle
configuration). This owes much to the first ever use of silicon
carbide semiconductor components in the power electronics (SiC
converter) of the BMW i5 and to particularly low-rolling-resistance
tyres fitted to aerodynamic alloy wheels. The optimised wheel bearings
  will also help save power.</p>
<p>19" aerodynamic wheels 1056 bi-colour are available for the
first time as an option for the BMW i5 eDrive40 (combined, WLTP
  (EnVKV): energy consumption 18.0–17.9 kWh/100 km; CO2
  emissions 0 g/km; CO2 class A) and the BMW i5 xDrive40
  (combined, WLTP (EnVKV): energy consumption 18.9–18.8 kWh/100 km;
  CO2 emissions 0 g/km; CO2 class A).</p>
<p>
<br />The optimisations for the new BMW i5 xDrive40 Touring (combined,
WLTP (EnVKV): energy consumption 19.5–19.4 kWh/100 km; CO2
  emissions 0 g/km; CO2 class A) lower WLTP energy
consumption by up to 9 per cent (depending on model and equipment
installed as part of an individual vehicle configuration), while the
new BMW i5 eDrive40 saves up to 8 per cent. </p>
<p> </p>
<p>Standard equipment on the BMW i5 M60 xDrive (combined, WLTP (EnVKV):
  energy consumption 19.5 kWh/100 km; CO<sub>2</sub> emissions 0 g/km;
CO2 class A) now includes the M Sport package Pro. In
addition, the BMW 5 Series models benefit from further interior
upgrades. From now on, all models include the previously optional
ambient lighting with the BMW Interaction Bar featuring a crystalline
surface as standard. In addition, they now come with lumbar support
for both front seats, as well as the Harman Kardon HiFi loudspeaker
system. The switchgear in the doors has also been upgraded and is now
finished in high-gloss Black. BMW Individual Merino Leather in
Black/Dark Violet is available as a new option for customising the interior.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
<strong>BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé: Two additional powertrain
variants.<br /></strong>The new BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé model range
available from March 2025 will include a new entry-level variant. The
new BMW 216 Gran Coupé (combined, WLTP (EnVKV): fuel consumption 6.4
  l/100 km; CO2 emissions 145 g/km; CO2 class E)
offers a particularly attractive introduction to the world of hallmark
BMW driving pleasure. Its 1.5-litre three-cylinder petrol engine has
90 kW/122 hp of power and a peak torque of 230 Nm. The standard
seven-speed double-clutch Steptronic transmission directs engine power
to the front wheels. Accelerating the new BMW 216 Gran Coupé from 0 to
  100 km/h takes 9.9 seconds.</p>
<p>The new BMW 223 xDrive Gran Coupé (combined, WLTP (EnVKV): fuel
  consumption 6.4–6.3 litres/100 km; CO<sub>2</sub> emissions 144 g/km;
CO2 class E) adds an all-wheel drive variant with 48-volt
mild-hybrid technology to the range. Its four-cylinder petrol engine
and integrated electric motor deliver a total system output of 160
kW/218 hp. This powertrain adds to the car’s efficiency and is capable
of particularly fast responses. The new BMW 223 xDrive Gran Coupé
accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds. Production of the two
new <br />BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé models will start in March 2025 at
the BMW Group plant in Leipzig, Germany. The BMW kidney Iconic Glow is
available as part of the Innovation package and enables a purposeful
customisation of the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé’s exterior. It provides
unique visuals, especially after dark. This option can also be ordered
  for the BMW 1 Series.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
  <strong>BMW X3 40d xDrive: Especially powerful six-cylinder diesel.</strong>
  <strong>
    <br /></strong>A 3.0-litre six-cylinder in-line diesel from the
latest BMW Group engine generation will complement the BMW X3
powertrain range from May 2025. It will make the new BMW X3 40d xDrive
(combined, WLTP (EnVKV): fuel consumption 6.7 l/100 km; CO2
emissions 177 g/km; CO2 class G) the most powerful diesel
variant of this premium executive Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV). Its
highly efficient powertrain offers 48-volt mild-hybrid technology, a
combined output of 223 kW/303 hp and 670 Nm of peak torque. The
system’s electric motor is integrated into the eight‑speed Steptronic
transmission. The new BMW X3 40d xDrive takes 5.4 seconds to get to
100 km/h from a standing start; its top speed is 245 km/h. It is
produced at the BMW Group Plant Rosslyn in South Africa.<strong>
    <br />
    <br /></strong>
<strong>Higher charging rates for everyday driving without generating
local emissions.<br /></strong>A faster AC charging rate, increased
from 7.4 kW to 11 kW, will result in significantly reduced charging
times for various BMW plug-in hybrid models from March 2025. This will
benefit the plug-in hybrid variants of the BMW X1, BMW 2 Series Active
Tourer, BMW 7 Series and all BMW XM models. <strong>
    <br />
    <br /></strong></p>
<p>
<strong>BMW Digital Key Plus as standard in the new BMW iX.</strong></p>
<p>In the new BMW iX, the BMW Digital Key Plus will become the driver’s
first choice for vehicle access from March 2025. The package also
includes a physical key, a Setup Card and a Service Card. The new
Setup Card makes installing the Digital Key Plus on a smartphone
easier than ever. Users can simply hold the card close to their mobile
device or scan the QR code on the back. Once activated, drivers can
safely share the Digital Key Plus with others, using a simple text
message. Depending on the mobile device, up to 18 digital keys can be
activated soon. Different roles and permissions can be set for the
vehicle when sharing the keys. For example, the vehicle’s acceleration
and top speed can be limited – a particularly useful feature for
novice drivers. Moreover, the BMW Digital Key Plus enables additional
control functions from the vehicle’s vicinity, such as having the BMW
iX enter or exit a parking space via the My BMW app. And if there ever
is a need to hand over a physical key, for example for service visits
or in the event of a breakdown, the new Service Card can be activated
  as a full-fledged key with a single click.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
  <strong>Other digital improvements and enhancements.<br /></strong>The
popular YouTube* video app has been available for vehicles with BMW
Operating System 9 since January 2025, provided the customer has
activated BMW Digital Premium. Furthermore, the Personal eSIM in BMW
Operating System 9 can now be activated for improved telephony and a
WiFi hotspot in the vehicle. Vehicles with BMW Operating System 8.5
benefit from a more intuitive BMW Maps interface.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
<strong>Tyre repair kit Plus: Remaining mobile the easy way. </strong></p>
<p>The new tyre repair kit Plus, part of the standard equipment for
selected BMW models from March 2025, enables customers to continue
their journey even with a tyre puncture. This requires just a few
simple steps that are explained in the vehicle’s Integrated Owner’s
Handbook. The one-piece tyre repair kit includes a magnet and
connector pin to secure it to the hub of the affected wheel. A hose
then fills the tyre with air and aerosol sealant using an integrated
compressor. Once a sufficient tyre pressure above 1.5 bar has been
achieved, the journey can be continued, with the device safely
attached to the wheel hub. Drivers can now</p>
<p>* Not available in the countries/regions of Guadeloupe, Guam,
Macedonia, Martinique, Montenegro, La Réunion, Saint-Martin.</p>
<p>cover a range of up to 200 kilometres at a top speed of 80 km/h. This
should easily get them to the nearest service centre. From spring 2025
the BMW X1, BMW X2, BMW iX and various models of the BMW 2 Series
Active Tourer will come with this equipment feature. The tyre repair
kit Plus is also included with the models of the BMW 5 Series Sedan
(except for models with standard 19-inch light alloy wheels
  Triplex-spoke style 933 Silver).</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
  <strong>BMW X5, BMW X6, BMW X7 and BMW M5: Added equipment.</strong>
<br />The comprehensive standard equipment on the BMW X5 and BMW X6
will from spring 2025 include adaptive matrix LED headlights. The BMW
X7 will always come with the Parking Assistant Professional. Standard
equipment for the M60i xDrive powertrain version of all three model
series will also include the M Sport package Pro, the Harman Kardon
surround sound system and sun protection glazing.<br />
  <br /></p>
<p>The BMW M5 will also benefit from more comprehensive equipment. Two
new upholstery options are available to add special accents to the
interior. In addition to BMW Individual Taupe Grey/Deep Lagoon Merino
Leather, BMW Individual Black/Dark Violet Merino Leather is available
as a new colourway. In all BMW M5 variants, as well as in all BMW 5
Series Sedan and BMW 5 Series Touring models, the trim and switches
for the power windows, mirror adjustment and tailgate button are
finished in high-gloss Black with a 3D effect as standard.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
<strong>New light alloy wheels for BMW 2 Series Active Tourer and BMW X1.</strong></p>
<p>17-inch light alloy wheels Star-spoke style 875 will be available for
various BMW 2 Series Active Tourer and BMW X1 models from March 2025.</p>

<strong>Munich.</strong> The new BMW X3 is sportier and more versatile
than ever as an all-rounder for everyday use, leisure and travel. In
its fourth model generation, a new design language gives it a
significantly enhanced presence. The M Sport Package and the M Sport
Package Pro are available ex works for an even more elegant and sporty
appearance. In addition, the distinctive profile of the Sports
Activity Vehicle (SAV) can be further customised with the BMW M
Performance Parts, which will be available for the new BMW X3.</p>
<p>The model-specific retrofit products for the new BMW X3 are
manufactured in a complex process from carbon fibre reinforced plastic
(CFRP), high-strength aramid or high-gloss polyurethane and are
perfectly matched to one another. All add-on parts from the original
BMW accessories range perfectly match the geometry and monolithic
appearance of the new BMW X3.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
<strong>Confident appearance and optimised aerodynamic properties: M
    Performance front splitter.</strong></p>
<p>The exterior components, which are precisely tailored to the new BMW
X3, not only set individual accents of elegant sportiness, but also
fulfil functional requirements in terms of lightweight construction
and aerodynamics. In the fourth model generation, an M Performance
front splitter is now available for the first time for the SAV. It
complements the exterior features of the M Sport Package and
emphasises the striking lines of the front apron. Finished in
high-gloss black, the three-part front splitter gives the SAV a
decidedly distinctive appearance, especially when combined with the M
Performance front ornamental grille painted in the same colour.</p>
<p>The exclusive M Performance side decals in Frozen Black also
emphasise the sporty character of the new BMW X3 from the side. The
light-, weather- and wash-resistant decal set is perfectly adapted to
the vehicle's geometry and makes a clear reference to motorsport. The
M Performance Carbon fuel filler cap with M Performance lettering on
brushed aluminium makes an unmistakable statement at the fuel station.</p>
<p>The striking M Carbon exterior mirror caps and the M Performance
aerial cover in aramid are further accents that lend the profile of
the new BMW X3 an individual and sporty touch. The aramid-reinforced
plastic is very similar to carbon fibre, but offers greater
electromagnetic permeability, ensuring unrestricted reception when
making calls and using the many digital services available.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
  <strong>Striking sportiness: M Performance rear diffuser, M
Performance roof edge spoiler and M Performance tailpipe trims.</strong></p>
<p>The M Performance rear diffuser is also made from this high-tech
material. It gives an even more striking appearance to the rear of the
car, which is already characterised by its generous surfaces, and, in
conjunction with the Comfort Access system, allows the luggage
compartment lid to be opened and closed without the need for physical
contact. An optional M Performance rear diffuser in high-gloss black
polyurethane is also available for the new BMW X3. Both versions of
the rear diffuser are combined with the M Performance rear bumper trim
  in high-gloss black.</p>
<p>The M Performance roof edge spoiler is also made of polyurethane and
is finished in high-gloss black. Perfectly tailored to the design of
the vehicle, it not only optimises the aerodynamic properties of the
new BMW X3, but also adds a particularly dynamic touch to the rear of
the vehicle. If desired, it can be painted in the colour of the vehicle.</p>
<p>The M Performance Carbon tailpipe trims integrated into the rear
apron, which are available exclusively for the M Performance model BMW
X3 M50 xDrive, give the SAV an especially powerful look (fuel
  consumption combined: 8.3 – 7.7 l/100 km (62 miles); CO2
  emissions combined: 189 – 175 g/km according to WLTP; CO2
class(es) G-F). They were specially designed for the two pairs of
tailpipes, which unmistakably identify the new BMW X3 M50 xDrive as
the most powerful model in the series and bear an embossed M logo.
Their CFRP coating, stainless steel inner tailpipes and thermal
decoupling of the tailpipe are a testament to the highest quality standards.</p>
<p>The M model badge "X3" in high-gloss black on the rear of
the new BMW X3 also sets an exclusive visual accent. The M model badge
"M50" is also available in a high-gloss black finish for the
  M Performance model.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
<strong>Up to 22-inch light alloy wheels are available for an even
    more exclusive look.</strong></p>
<p>A further highlight in the range of accessories for the new BMW X3
  are the weight-optimised 22-inch M Performance light-alloy wheels. The
complete summer wheel set is available exclusively in Bicolour
Jetblack matt finish. The Y-spoke light alloy wheels feature polished
elements on the outer rim and centre for a particularly exclusive look.</p>
<p>In addition, 20-inch M Performance Y-spoke wheels in Jet Black Matt
are available as both a summer and winter complete wheel set.
Additional wheel sets are ideally stowed in the M Performance tyre
bags. Reinforced bag handles make it easy to transport the wheels.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
<strong>Precisely honed racing flair also for the interior.</strong></p>
<p>As soon as the doors are opened, the M Performance Carbon door sills
unmistakably signal the new BMW X3's dynamic orientation. With their
distinctive M Performance lettering, they are an individual
eye-catcher. Alternatively, M aluminium door sill trims are also
available for the new edition of the SAV.</p>
<p>Authentic motorsport flair can also be found in the footwell of the
new BMW X3 with the stainless steel M Performance pedal cover. The M
Performance floor mats are the ideal complement. The four-piece set
features embroidered M Performance lettering, leather-look edging,
contrasting stitching and a stitched-in ribbon in BMW M colours.</p>
<p>The M Performance key case, with its mix of Alcantara and carbon-look
leather, also conveys a subtle hint of performance passion outside the
vehicle. The custom-fit case protects the car key from scratches and
  has convenient cut-outs for all the function buttons.</p><div class="co2emission"><div class="co2emission-headline">CO2 EMISSIONS & CONSUMPTION.</div><div class="co2emission-text"><p>BMW X3 M50 xDrive: Fuel consumption combined: 8.3 – 7.7 l/100 km (62

<strong>Munich. </strong>BMW is adding another Sports Activity Vehicle
(SAV) to its range of models developed exclusively for the Chinese
automotive market. The new version of the BMW X3, built in China for
China, features an extended wheelbase for the first time, offering
more legroom and a particularly comfortable driving experience in the
rear. The luxurious interior of the new SAV for the premium mid-range
vehicle segment is further enhanced by an extensive range of standard
equipment with market-specific details. The new BMW iDrive is based on
the BMW Operating System 9. It enables the use of numerous digital
services that are exclusively available in China. The content of the
BMW Digital Premium range is also tailored to the needs and
  requirements of Chinese customers.</p>
<p>The vehicle concept, design, technology and equipment were precisely
tailored to the preferences of discerning target groups in China. Both
models are produced at the Shenyang site. The Lydia plant there is the
latest production facility of the BMW Brilliance Automotive (BBA)
joint venture. It offers ideal conditions for high-quality, efficient
  and resource-conserving production. </p>
<h3>
<strong>Largest dimensions in term of length in the competitive
    environment, outstanding interior comfort.</strong></h3>
<p>The model variants of the new BMW X3 produced in Shenyang combine the
clear, modern surface design of the brand's current design language
with the typical proportions of BMW X models. The long roofline flows
gently into the rear, creating a dynamically stretched silhouette.
With an exterior length of 4,865 millimetres and a width of 1,920
millimetres, they have the most generous dimensions in the competitive
environment. Both models come with BMW Iconic Glow contour lighting
for the BMW radiator grille as standard. A choice of five metallic
paint finishes is available for the exterior.</p>
<p>The wheelbase of the new BMW X3 has been increased by 110 millimetres
to 2,975 millimetres compared with the globally available model
variants of the new BMW X3. The BMW Curved Display, the BMW
Interaction Bar, the steering wheel with a flattened lower rim and the
colour-contrasting lighting elements in the centre console and door
panels create a modern ambience in a new style for the BMW X models.
The standard Veganza comfort seats with leather-like characteristics
are available in three two-tone colours. The particularly high-quality
"Crafted Clarity" glass applications for selected controls
are available as an option. In addition to the extra legroom, the
standard comfort cushions and centre armrest with integrated tray for
wireless charging of suitable smartphones ensure exclusive comfort in
the rear. Another highlight is the panoramic glass roof with optional
skylounge lighting in several colours and modern graphic display,
which complements the ambient lighting in the interior.</p>
<h3>
<strong>New BMW X3: Most successful SAV in China now even more attractive.</strong></h3>
<p>With its modern design, more space and advanced digitalisation based
on the BMW Operating System 9, the new BMW X3 is ideally positioned to
add a new chapter to the SAV success story in China. The predecessor
model was the brand's best-selling vehicle worldwide in 2023. In China
alone, around 156,000 units of the BMW X3 have been delivered to
customers. This means that the premium mid-range SAV accounted for
around 40 percent of all BMW X model sales in China.</p>
<p>Now in its fourth model generation, the BMW X3 produced in Shenyang
is more than ever focused on the wishes of Chinese customers.
Following in the footsteps of the locally produced BMW X1 and BMW X5,
the new BMW X3 features an extended wheelbase and numerous
market-specific equipment options. As a result, it is more attractive
than ever and perfectly prepared for new successes in the world's
  largest automotive market.</p>

  <strong>Munich / Goodwood.</strong> The new BMW M5 (energy consumption
  weighted, combined: 1.7 – 1.6 l/100 km [166.2 – 176.6 mpg imp] and
  25.5 – 25.0 kWh/100 km in the WLTP cycle; CO2 emissions
weighted, combined: 39 – 37 g/km in the WLTP cycle; fuel consumption
  with discharged battery: 10.3 – 10.2 l/100 km [27.4 – 27.7 mpg imp] in
the WLTP cycle; CO2 classes: weighted, combined B, with
discharged battery: G) is ready to race, as it will demonstrate in the
legendary hill climb at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2024. This
storied event taking place in the English county of West Sussex is
therefore the ideal occasion for the world premiere of the
high-performance sedan in its seventh generation. The new BMW M5 will
be making its first public appearance as part of a spectacular line-up
of vehicles that also includes the BMW M Hybrid V8 prototype endurance
racer, the new BMW M4 CS (fuel consumption, combined: 10.2 l/100 km
[27.7 mpg imp]; CO2 emissions, combined: 232 g/km in the
WLTP cycle, CO2 class: G) and an array of classic machines
from the motor sport history of BMW and BMW Motorrad.</p>
<p>With its M HYBRID system, the new BMW M5 is ideally equipped to post
an impressive performance over the 1.86-kilometre (1.16-mile) hill
climb. For the first time in the 40-year history of the
high-performance sedan, an electrified drive system is on hand to
provide instantaneous power development and imposing muscularity. The
combination of a high-revving V8 engine with M TwinPower Turbo
technology and the latest-generation electric motor generates system
output of 535 kW/727 hp and peak torque of 1,000 Nm (737 lb-ft). This
fresh approach to delivering the performance profile for which M cars
are renowned teams up with bespoke chassis technology and the M xDrive
all-wheel-drive system to deliver a performance experience of rare
  magnetism and allure.</p>
<p>The new BMW M5 will be unveiled at BMW’s trackside stand on Thursday,
11 July 2024 as an early highlight of the four-day event. The new BMW
X3 will also celebrate its world premiere at the Goodwood Festival of
Speed 2024. Now in its fourth model generation, the Sports Activity
Vehicle (SAV) impresses not only with its visually striking design and
innovative digital technology, but also with significantly enhanced
agility and dynamic prowess. This increase in sporting appeal is
embodied most prominently by the BMW X3 M50 xDrive (fuel consumption,
  combined: 8.3 – 7.7 l/100 km [34.0 – 36.7 mpg imp]; CO2
  emissions, combined: 189 – 175 g/km in the WLTP cycle; CO2
classes: G – F), which will be presented at the Festival of Speed. The
new range-topping variant of the X3 – a model series first launched 20
years ago – is fitted with the most powerful six-cylinder in-line
petrol engine ever assigned to an M Performance model. The 3.0-litre
unit joins forces with 48V mild hybrid technology to produce maximum
  output of 293 kW/398 hp.</p>
<p>
<strong>The Hill beckons: BMW lines up with new machinery, racing
legends and famous drivers and riders.</strong></p>
<p>The races up the famous hill in the Duke of Richmond’s Goodwood
estate will provide the Festal of Speed programme with some
spectacular highlights once again this year. Demo runs featuring cars
and motorcycles from a wide range of eras bring to mind the private
hill climb held for the first time in 1936 in the grounds of Goodwood
House. Among the members of the current BMW M GmbH portfolio set to
take the Hill by storm alongside the new BMW M5 are the
special-edition BMW M4 CS and BMW XM Label Red (energy consumption
  weighted, combined: 2.0 – 1.6 l/100 km [141.2 – 176.6 mpg imp] and
  33.5 – 32.5 kWh/100 km in the WLTP cycle; CO2 emissions
weighted, combined: 45 – 35 g/km in the WLTP cycle; fuel consumption
  with discharged battery: 12.9 – 12.3 l/100 km [21.9 – 23.0 mpg imp] in
the WLTP cycle; CO2 classes: weighted, combined B, with
discharged battery: G). And the latest endurance racing car from BMW M
Motorsport, the BMW M Hybrid V8, will also be let loose in the
unfamiliar surroundings of a hill climb sprint.</p>
<p>BMW Group Classic’s historic motor sport department will also bring a
host of legendary vehicles and well-known drivers and riders to the
event. Leading the way will be the BMW V12 LMR, which celebrated
overall victory in the Le Mans 24-hour race in 1999. Franciscus van
Meel, CEO of BMW M GmbH, will get behind the wheel on the 25th
anniversary of this famous win. 55 years have now passed since Dieter
Quester was crowned European touring car champion in a BMW 2002 TIK.
This was the first championship title claimed by a BMW with a
turbocharged engine. Piloting the 2002 TIK in the hill climb at this
year’s Festival of Speed will be BMW Group Classic brand ambassador
Prince Leopold of Bavaria. And memories of great victories will also
be rekindled for legendary BMW touring car driver Johnny Cecotto:
30 years on from winning the Super Touring Car Cup, he will be
reunited with his BMW 318i STW at Goodwood.</p>
<p>BMW Group Classic will compete in the hill climb events for
motorcycles with a pair of historic racing bikes. The BMW RS 54 from
the 1950s will be joined by a meticulously restored replica of the
BMW R 255/1 with supercharged engine. In 1939, Georg “Schorsch” Meier
rode a R 255/1 to victory in the Senior Tourist Trophy on the Isle of
Man, becoming the first foreign rider to do so on a non-English bike.
Among the riders lining up on these historic models will be Markus
Flasch, Head of BMW Motorrad, who will also be piloting the
BMW R20 concept through the twists and turns of the course. The latest
concept bike from BMW Motorrad was unveiled to the public for the
first time just a few weeks ago at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa
d’Este. Its design places the new 2.0-litre Big Boxer engine at centre
stage, and the hill climb will now also provide it with the platform
to showcase its power development and acoustic charms.</p>
<p>
<strong>New models, one-off creations, concept cars and Vision
Vehicles among the attractions at trackside.</strong></p>
<p>Visitors to the Festival of Speed 2024 will be greeted by alluring
examples of design, dynamism and innovation away from the track as
well as on it. Among the models on show at the BMW M GmbH trackside
stand will be the new BMW M135 xDrive (fuel consumption, combined:
  8.1 – 7.6 l/100 km [34.9 – 37.2 mpg imp]; CO2 emissions,
  combined: 184 – 173 g/km in the WLTP cycle; CO2 classes:
  G – F), the new BMW M2 (fuel consumption, combined: 10.2 – 9.6 l/100
  km [27.7 – 29.4 mpg imp]; CO2 emissions, combined:
  231 – 218 g/km in the WLTP cycle, CO2 class: G) and the BMW
  M3 Touring (fuel consumption, combined: 10.4 – 10.3 l/100 km [27.2 –
  27.4 mpg imp]; CO2 emissions, combined: 235 – 233 g/km in
the WLTP cycle, CO2 class: G).</p>
<p>In honour of designer Marcello Gandini, who passed away in spring
this year, BMW Group Classic will also be presenting the BMW Garmisch.
This coupé is a rebuild of a concept car that Gandini had designed for
coachbuilder Bertone but that then vanished without trace following
its premiere at the 1970 Geneva Motor Show.</p>
<p>The vehicles on display at the Stable Yard will also include the
BMW Vision Neue Klasse – which offers a look ahead to the upcoming
generation of fully electric models from BMW – and the BMW i5 Flow
NOSTOKANA, a one-off design whose exterior displays motifs from South
African artist Esther Mahlangu using innovative colour-change
technology. Also produced in just a single example so far, the BMW
Concept Skytop has an exclusive blend of aesthetic appeal and dynamic
potency. This design study is making only its second ever public
appearance, following on from its world premiere at the Concorso
  d’Eleganza Villa d’Este. An open-top two-seater, the BMW Concept
Skytop symbolises the joy of luxury travel. With design details
recalling classic models like the BMW Z8 and BMW 503 and a
super-powerful V8 from BMW’s current engine line-up, it bridges the
past and the present in hallmark Festival of Speed style.</p>
<p> </p>
<p> </p>
<p>The fuel consumption, CO2 emissions, electric power
consumption and operating range figures are determined according to
the European Regulation (EC) 715/2007 in the version applicable. They
refer to vehicles in the German market. Where a range is shown, the
figures take into account the impact of any optional extras.</p>
<p>All values were calculated based on the new WLTP test cycle. WLTP
values are taken as the basis for determining vehicle-related taxes or
other duties based (at least inter alia) on CO2 emissions
as well as eligibility for any applicable vehicle-specific subsidies.
Further information on the WLTP measurement procedure can also be
  found at <a href="http://www.bmw.de/wltp">www.bmw.de/wltp</a>.</p>
<p>Further information on official fuel consumption figures and specific
CO2 emission values of new passenger cars is included in
the following guideline: 'Leitfaden über den Kraftstoffverbrauch, die
CO2-Emissionen und den Stromverbrauch neuer Personenkraftwagen' (Guide
to the fuel economy, CO2 emissions and electric power
consumption of new passenger cars), which can be obtained free of
charge from all dealerships, from Deutsche Automobil Treuhand GmbH
  (DAT), Hellmuth-Hirth-Str. 1, 73760 Ostfildern-Scharnhausen and at <a href="https://www.dat.de/co2/">https://www.dat.de/co2/</a>.</p>

<p>Boasting greater sporting appeal, visual impact and versatility than
ever, the new BMW X3 assumes the mantle of talented all-rounder for
everyday use, leisure activities and trips away in the brand’s core
segment. A new design language gives the fourth generation of the
Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) for the premium midsize segment much
enhanced exterior presence and an aura of dynamic grace. High-quality
materials, a far more generous standard specification, advanced
digitalisation and the new BMW iDrive with QuickSelect based on BMW
Operating System 9 set the tone for the premium ambience inside the
progressively designed cabin. Driving pleasure, safety and
long-distance comfort in the new BMW X3 also all benefit from the
exceptionally precise tuning of the overall vehicle setup and a wide
selection of semi-automated driving and parking systems.</p>
<p>The new BMW X3 heralds major improvements in efficiency and dynamic
performance with its wide-ranging model line-up. The portfolio of
powertrains comprises not just highly efficient petrol and diesel
engines, but also a latest-generation plug-in hybrid system that
enables the new BMW X3 30e xDrive (consumption, weighted and combined:
  24.0 – 22.3 kWh/100 km and 1.1 – 0.9 l/100 km [256.8 – 313.9 mpg imp];
  CO2 emissions, weighted and combined: 26 – 21 g/km in WLTP
  cycle; fuel consumption with battery empty: 7.9 – 7.2 l/100 km [35.8 –
39.2 mpg imp] in WLTP cycle; CO2 classes: with battery
empty G – F; weighted and combined B) to achieve an electric range of
  81 – 90 kilometres (50 – 56 miles) in the WLTP cycle. With a hike in
drive power to 293 kW/398 hp and dynamic performance capabilities to
eclipse its rivals, the new BMW X3 M50 xDrive M Performance model
  (fuel consumption, combined: 8.3 – 7.7 l/ 100 km [34.0 – 36.7 mpg
  imp]; CO2 emissions, combined: 189 – 175 g/km in WLTP
  cycle; CO2 class(es) G – F) offers a compelling proposition.</p>
<p>The new edition’s aura of modernity and enhanced product substance
provide the ideal basis for adding another chapter to the BMW X3
success story – one that first began 20 years ago. Since first
establishing the SAV segment in the premium midsize class, it has been
instrumental in the steady growth in popularity of the BMW X models
and, indeed, became the brand’s best-selling model in 2023. The new
BMW X3 will be built at BMW Group Plant Spartanburg (USA) and Plant
Rosslyn (South Africa) using a production process focused on
conserving resources and circularity. Its market launch will get
underway in Europe and the USA in the fourth quarter of 2024,
progressing across numerous other markets from January 2025.</p>
<h3>New design language shines the spotlight on distinctive proportions.</h3>
<p>A new design language for the exterior helps to give the fourth
generation of the BMW X3 an almost monolithic overall appearance with
distinctive BMW X model proportions. Generously proportioned surfaces
combine with just a few, crisply defined lines to produce a clearly
structured exterior that has been reduced to the essentials. The new
BMW X3 is 34 millimetres longer than its predecessor at
4,755 millimetres, while width has increased by 29 millimetres to
1,920 millimetres. Together with the 25‑millimetre drop in vehicle
height to 1,660 millimetres and the wider tracks, this produces a very
  powerful and sporty look.</p>
<p>The large BMW kidney grille in the upright front end of the new
BMW X3 gives off an air of assured presence. A new structure for the
grille interior, comprising vertically and diagonally arranged bars,
adds a fresh touch. The optional BMW Iconic Glow contour lighting
forms a continuous line around each element of the grille. The daytime
driving lights, side lights and turn signal indicators in the LED
headlights are now all produced by L-shaped, overlapping light
sources. Adaptive LED Headlights with non-dazzling matrix high beam,
urban light and cornering light functions, plus blue design detailing
are optionally available, as are M Shadowline lights.</p>
<p>Bold side skirts and a roofline extending deep into the rear end are
the distinguishing features of the new model’s sporty silhouette. The
prominently flared wheel arches create the impression of considerable
width at the rear. The flush-mounted rear window is bordered by a long
roof spoiler and the adjoining side air deflectors. All model variants
aside from the BMW X3 M50 xDrive come with exhaust tailpipes
integrated out of sight in the rear apron. The fresh interpretation of
the characteristic T-shaped graphic and a satinated horizontal bar
with integral turn signal indicators help to give the rear lights a
  very modern appearance.</p>
<p>There is a choice of one solid and eight metallic shades for the
exterior paintwork of the new BMW X3, including the new Dune Grey
metallic finish. Models produced at BMW Group Plant Spartanburg will
additionally be available with BMW Individual paint finishes,
including two matt shimmering Frozen options, as well as over 15
  BMW Individual special paint finishes.</p>
<p>The new BMW X3 is equipped as standard with light-alloy wheels
measuring 18 inches in size (BMW X3 30e xDrive: 19 inches), with a
selection of 20-inch and 21-inch items also available as
factory-fitted options. The optional M Sport package creates an
exceptionally dynamic look with features such as 19-inch M light-alloy
wheels and bespoke design cues for optimising airflow and aerodynamic
balance. The M Sport package Pro builds on this content by adding,
among other things, the Iconic Glow contour lighting and M Sport
  brakes with red-painted callipers.</p>
<h3>Sporty premium ambience and generous amounts of space.</h3>
<p>The cabin of the new BMW X3 blends robust SAV functionality with
ample spaciousness and a premium ambience full of individual style.
The BMW Curved Display, BMW Interaction Bar, steering wheels with a
flat-bottomed rim and the new-look gear selector lever are the
defining elements of the cockpit’s modern take on hallmark BMW
driver-focused design. Other model-specific highlights include light
elements in a contrasting colour in the centre console and door trims.
This new design feature is located towards the front of the driver’s
and front passenger doors, where it forms a border around function
buttons, ventilation controllers, air vents and the robust door
openers typically found on BMW X models.</p>
<p>The interior’s individual ambience goes hand in hand with generous
amounts of space and modern versatility. Load space can be increased
  from 570 to a maximum 1,700 litres (BMW X3 30e xDrive: 460 –
1,600 litres). A trailer coupling that extends and retracts again
electrically can be specified as an option. The maximum permitted
trailer load is 2,500 kilograms, depending on the model variant.</p>
<p>The new BMW X3 is fitted as standard with newly designed electrically
adjustable and heated sport seats upholstered in Econeer, with
surfaces and cushioning made from secondary material. Veganza and BMW
Individual Merino leather upholsteries are both available as an
option. Making its debut for a BMW model is the optional Luxury
instrument panel made from recycled polyester with a high-class
  knitted texture.</p>
<h3>Plug-in hybrid with significantly longer electric range.</h3>
<p>The drive system in the BMW X3 30e xDrive plug-in hybrid is made up
of a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine partnered with an electric
motor integrated into the eight-speed Steptronic transmission. These
join forces to generate system output of up to 220 kW/299 hp.</p>
<p>Helped by latest-generation BMW eDrive technology and adaptive
recuperation, the new BMW X3 30e xDrive achieves an electric range of
  81 – 90 kilometres (50 – 56 miles) in the WLTP cycle, which is
considerably longer than its predecessor could offer. Its Combined
Charging Unit enables AC charging at 11 kW as standard. The
plug-in-hybrid model also comes prepared for smart charging with the
  Connected Home Charging option.</p>
<h3>BMW X3 M50 xDrive with standout performance qualities.</h3>
<p>The range-topping model, the new BMW X3 M50 xDrive, features the most
powerful six-cylinder in-line petrol engine yet fitted in an M
Performance model. The 3.0-litre M TwinPower Turbo unit links up with
48V mild hybrid technology. Its maximum output of 293 kW/398 hp is
channelled to the road via an eight-speed Steptronic Sport
transmission and BMW xDrive intelligent all-wheel drive. The
  BMW X3 M50 xDrive powers to 100 km/h (62 mph) from rest in 4.6 seconds.</p>
<p>This stunningly potent powertrain combines with the bespoke chassis
technology to deliver a compelling blend of agility, dynamism and
handling precision. M Sport suspension with variable sport steering,
  M Sport brakes, 20-inch M light-alloy wheels and an M Sport
differential integrated into the rear axle all come as standard. There
is also the option of adaptive M suspension with electronically
controlled dampers. M-specific design features, the M kidney grille
with horizontal bars and BMW Iconic Glow contour lighting, and the
quartet of exhaust tailpipes all serve to underline the status of the
BMW M model as the most powerful version of the new BMW X3.</p>
<h3>Systematic electrification for petrol and diesel engines,
eight-speed Steptronic transmission and BMW xDrive all-wheel drive as standard.</h3>
<p>48V mild hybrid technology also endows all other variants of the new
BMW X3 with enhanced efficiency and rapid power delivery. It enables
the 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol unit in the new BMW X3 20 xDrive
  (fuel consumption, combined: 7.6 – 6.9 l/100 km [37.2 – 40.9 mpg imp];
  CO<sub>2</sub> emissions, combined: 172 – 156 g/km in WLTP cycle;
CO2 class: F) to generate maximum output of 153 kW/208 hp.
  This translates into a 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration time of 7.8 seconds.</p>
<p>The four-cylinder diesel engine, also with a displacement of
2.0 litres, under the bonnet of the new BMW X3 20d xDrive (fuel
  consumption, combined: 6.5 – 5.8 l/100 km [43.5 – 48.7 mpg imp];
  CO<sub>2</sub> emissions, combined: 171 – 153 g/km in WLTP cycle;
  CO2 classes: F – E) posts maximum output of 145 kW/197 hp.
The diesel model completes the 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint in
7.7 seconds. A six-cylinder in-line diesel engine will be added to the
line-up for the new BMW X3 in summer 2025.</p>
<p>All the power units link up with an eight-speed Steptronic
transmission including shift paddles on the steering wheel as
standard. There is also a Sport Boost function for exceptionally rapid
bursts of speed in models specified with the M Sport package and in
the new BMW X3 M50 xDrive. All model variants also benefit from fully
variable distribution of drive power via the BMW xDrive intelligent
  all-wheel-drive system as standard.</p>
<p>
<strong>Agility and ride comfort up their game.</strong></p>
<p>All model variants of the new BMW X3 boast driving qualities offering
a clearly noticeable increase in agility, cornering stability and
long-distance comfort over the outgoing model. A body with lower
weight but increased rigidity and the wider rear track both play a
role here, as do the high-quality chassis components and control
systems tuned for this specific model. Modifications to the kinematic
and elastokinematic properties of the double-joint spring strut front
axle and five-link rear axle have increased precision when turning
into corners, while the 19 per cent increase in the caster offset of
the steering axle is a boon for straight-line stability. Near-actuator
wheel slip limitation and the integrated braking system likewise form
part of the standard package of chassis technology.</p>
<p>Customers looking for even more dynamic prowess can choose the
optional M Sport suspension including sport steering and M Sport
brakes (both standard for the new BMW X3 M50 xDrive). Adaptive
suspension – also to be found on the options list – sharpens the
agility of the new BMW X3 at the same time as increasing ride comfort.</p>
<h3>Driving Assistant and Parking Assistant as standard.</h3>
<p>The new BMW X3 offers a far more extensive range of standard and
optional systems for semi-automated driving and parking. It is
equipped as standard with front collision warning, Lane Departure
Warning and Speed Limit Info, along with the Driving Assistant
including Lane Change Warning and manual Speed Limit Assist. The
Parking Assistant (also standard) incorporates features such as the
Reversing Assistant and a Reversing Assist Camera.</p>
<p>Among the highlights on the list of optional systems are the Steering
and Lane Control Assistant, as well as automatic Speed Limit Assist
and route speed control when using Active Cruise Control with
Stop&Go function. The optional Parking Assistant Professional
allows parking and general manoeuvres to be controlled from outside
  the car using a smartphone.</p>
<h3>More generous standard specification for greater comfort and driving pleasure.</h3>
<p>Besides the extra assistance systems, the far more generous standard
specification compared to the outgoing model offers a wealth of other
features that help boost comfort and driving pleasure in the new
BMW X3. These include three-zone automatic climate control, acoustic
glazing, Comfort Access, automatic tailgate operation, an electric
folding mechanism for the exterior mirrors, an alarm system and BMW
Live Cockpit Plus complete with the cloud-based BMW Maps navigation
system. The new BMW X3 also comes as standard with ambient lighting
featuring a Welcome and Goodbye Animation, a tray including wireless
charging function for compatible smartphones, a Bluetooth interface,
four USB-C ports, a 12V power socket in the centre console and another
  in the luggage compartment.</p>
<p>The optional BMW Live Cockpit Professional adds not only the BMW
Head-Up Display, but also the Augmented View function in the control
display. In addition to this, new equipment packages are available for
targeted customisation of the car. The Premium Package features lumbar
support, the Harman Kardon surround sound system, the Travel &
Comfort System and Adaptive LED Headlights. And the Comfort Package
adds sun blinds for the rear side windows, active seat ventilation in
the front and seat heating in the rear. Also to be found on the
options list are a fixed panoramic glass sunroof featuring a large
transparent surface without any cross struts to break it up, steering
wheel heating, sun protection glass in the rear and a pre-heating
function. The new BMW X3 30e xDrive, meanwhile, comes with the BMW
IconicSounds Electric for special sound effects.</p>
<h3>BMW Operating System 9, BMW iDrive with QuickSelect and BMW Digital Premium.</h3>
<p>The new BMW X3 comes with the latest version of BMW iDrive with
QuickSelect to provide intuitive, easy control. Its new home screen
shows vertically arranged function icons on the same level. The
QuickSelect feature allows functions to be activated directly without
having to enter a submenu. The new BMW iDrive is geared squarely to
touch and voice control. It is based on BMW Operating System 9, which
also paves the way for a customisable selection of additional digital
services. These can be made available over the air, both via the BMW
ConnectedDrive Upgrades facility and thanks to an ever-expanding
variety of third-party apps offered as part of the optional BMW
  Digital Premium package.</p>
<p>BMW Digital Premium allows in-car use of the specific apps available
in each country on a subscription basis. Besides music streaming, the
portfolio includes a wide choice of video streaming options (DTS
AutoStage Video Service powered by TiVo™) on the control display too.
The video app in the new BMW X3 therefore offers customers a large
number of media libraries and streaming services. The range of in-car
