<p>
  <strong>Munich.</strong> Summer 2025 is set to bring innovations in
  electric drive technology and digitalisation as well as new standard
  and optional equipment features that will make the current BMW model
  range even more attractive. New power electronics in the all-electric
  BMW i4 result in even greater efficiency and increased range. The most
  powerful BMW i4 will also debut at the same time. Numerous BMW models
  will come as standard with Comfort Access and the BMW Digital Key,
  which has now become even easier to set up.</p>
<p>From summer 2025, the BMW X1, BMW X2 and BMW 2 Series Active Tourer
  will be available with new exterior and interior options. Standard
  equipment for the BMW 1 Series and BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé now
  includes heated front seats. The BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant
  now offers an alternative voice.<br />
  <br />
  <strong>BMW i4: reduced consumption, new range-topper with extra power.</strong></p>
<p>From July 2025, the BMW i4 eDrive35 (WLTP combined (EnVKV): energy
  consumption 17.5 kWh/100 km; CO<sub>2</sub> emissions 0 g/km;
  CO2 class A); range 428-514 km (WLTP combined (PER)) as
  well as the BMW i4 eDrive40 (WLTP combined (EnVKV): energy consumption
  17.8 kWh/100 km; CO2 emissions 0 g/km; CO2 class
  A); range 510-613 km (WLTP combined (PER)) will come with silicon
  carbide semiconductor components in the power electronics (SiC
  inverter), which reduce consumption by around 4.5 per cent while
  adding up to 22 kilometres of range (depending on the model and
  equipment installed as part of an individual vehicle configuration).</p>
<p>From July 2025, the new range topper for the all-electric BMW i4
  comes in the shape of the BMW i4 M60 xDrive (WLTP combined (EnVKV):
  energy consumption 20.9 kWh/100 km; CO<sub>2</sub> emissions 0 g/km;
  CO2 class A); range 433-551 km (WLTP combined (PER)).
  Compared to the predecessor, it provides an additional 42 kW/57 hp of
  power, for a system output of 442 kW/601 hp. The new BMW i4 M60 xDrive
  takes 3.7 seconds for the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h.</p>
<p>
  <br />
  <strong>BMW Digital Key: smartphone used as key enables many
    additional functions.</strong></p>
<p>The BMW Digital Key will soon become the tool of choice to unlock and
  lock many BMW models, courtesy of a simplified set-up process. The BMW
  iX was the first to be updated in March 2025, and many model series
  will follow from July 2025: the BMW 1 Series, BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé,
  BMW 2 Series Active Tourer, BMW X1, BMW X2, BMW 5 Series Sedan,
  BMW 5 Series Touring, BMW M5, BMW M5 Touring and BMW 7 Series. The BMW
  X5, BMW X5 M, BMW X6, BMW X6 M, BMW X7 and BMW XM models will follow
  from August 2025. The BMW X3 will come with the new set-up process in
  the US from August 2025 and in South Africa from September 2025.</p>
<p>The feature will then include a physical key, a Setup Card and a
  Service Card. The new Setup Card makes it easier than ever to set up
  the BMW Digital Key on smartphones from all major manufacturers by
  simply holding the card to the mobile phone or scanning the QR code on
  the back. The next step takes the user straight into the My BMW app.
  After authorisation via the Setup Card, the BMW ID is linked to the
  vehicle and the BMW Digital Key is then activated. After activation,
  the customer can easily share the Digital Key with other people by
  sending them a text message. Activation is possible on up to 18
  devices. Owners can define various roles and permissions for each
  vehicle user. A particularly useful function ideal for novice drivers
  is limiting acceleration and top speed, for example. If a physical key
  does need to be handed over, for example in the workshop or in the
  event of a breakdown, the new Service Card can be used. This should
  always be carried deactivated so it can be activated as a
  fully-fledged key when needed, via a click on the central display.</p>
<p>
  <strong>For all eventualities: tyre repair kit and tyre repair kit Plus.</strong></p>
<p>From summer 2025, the tyre repair kit will come as standard for
  various BMW models. These include the BMW 1 Series, BMW 2 Series Gran
  Coupé, BMW 2 Series Coupé, BMW 3 Series Sedan, BMW 3 Series Touring,
  BMW 4 Series Coupé and the BMW 4 Series Convertible. The optional tyre
  repair kit Plus is available for the BMW X3 (excluding the BMW X3 30e xDrive).</p>
<p>
  <strong>Individual paintwork finishes at a glance, in the BMW Configurator.</strong></p>
<p>Customers appreciate the BMW Individual paintwork colours as a way to
  add a personal touch to their new BMW. Special paintwork finishes
  which previously required looking up in the BMW Individual Visualiser
  can be selected within the BMW Configurator. With just a few
  exceptions, this applies to all BMW models.</p>
<p>
  <strong>More equipment for BMW 1 Series and BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé.</strong></p>
<p>Standard equipment for the BMW 1 Series and BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé
  will from summer 2025 be even more comprehensive and include heated
  front seats and an alarm system. The optional M Technology Package II
  available for the BMW M135 xDrive (WLTP combined (EnVKV): fuel
  consumption 8.3 litres/100 km; CO<sub>2</sub> emissions 188 g/km;
  CO2 class G) and the BMW M235 xDrive Gran Coupé (WLTP
  combined (EnVKV): fuel consumption 8.2 litres/100 km; CO2
  emissions 185 g/km; CO2 class G) now includes M seat belts
  with M colours in the weave.</p>
<p>
  <strong>New colours for BMW 2 Series Active Tourer, BMW X1 and BMW X2.</strong></p>
<p>Summer 2025 will bring new exterior and interior options for the BMW
  2 Series Active Tourer, BMW X1 and BMW X2. New paintwork colours
  include Fire Red metallic and Night Dusk Blue for the BMW 2 Series
  Active Tourer as well as Dune Grey metallic for the BMW X2. All three
  colours are also available for the BMW X1, along with BMW Individual
  Frozen Portimao Blue metallic. Veganza perforated upholstery in the
  colours Castanea, Smoke White and Atlas Grey/Smoke White is newly
  available for customising the interior of the BMW 2 Series Active
  Tourer and BMW X2. The Castanea and Smoke White colourways are
  available for the BMW X1. The Econeer Bicolour Blue upholstery can be
  ordered from summer 2025 in combination with front sport seats only.
  Another new option is the Brushed Aluminium Shadow interior trim.</p>
<p>
  <strong>More comprehensive equipment for BMW 7 Series, BMW X3 and BMW iX.</strong></p>
<p>The BMW 7 Series and BMW i7 now feature laminated safety glass with
  contrast print as standard. From summer 2025, comfort glazing, sun
  protection glazing and the Heat Comfort package will also be available
  as individual options for the first time, enabling even more specific customisation.</p>
<p>A new equipment option for the BMW X3 is the attractive M door sill
  trim. It can be ordered for the M Sport package, M Sport package Pro
  and the BMW X3 M50 xDrive (WLTP combined (EnVKV): fuel consumption 8.3
  litres/100 km; CO2 emissions 189 g/km; CO2 class G).</p>
<p>BMW Individual Frozen Pure Grey metallic is a new paintwork finish
  with a particularly distinctive character, available as an option for
  the BMW iX from summer 2025.</p>
<p>
  <strong>Ultimate Package for BMW X5 M Competition and BMW X6 M Competition.</strong></p>
<p>The BMW X5 M Competition (WLTP combined (EnVKV): fuel consumption
  12.9 litres/100 km; CO2 emissions 292 g/km; CO2
  class G) and the BMW X6 M Competition (WLTP combined (EnVKV): fuel
  consumption 12.8 litres/100 km; CO<sub>2</sub> emissions 289 g/km;
  CO2 class G) now benefit from the optional Ultimate
  Package. In addition to the M Carbon engine cover, this also includes
  M Carbon mirror caps, the Sky Lounge panoramic glass sunroof, active
  seat ventilation as well as the massage function at the front and the
  Comfort Package. The Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound
  System ensures exceptional sound quality. The M Driver’s Package
  included as part of the package increases top speed to 290 km/h. In
  the BMW X6 M Competition, this is complemented by an exclusive
  M Carbon rear spoiler.</p>
<p>
  <strong>Comprehensively upgraded BMW iDrive.</strong></p>
<p>Among the numerous innovations in the area of digital services is the
  upgraded BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant in BMW Operating System 9.
  It now offers customers in Turkey, Greece and Hungary natural-language
  voice control in their native languages.  </p>
<p>In the BMW 1 Series, BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé and BMW X3, customers in
  many countries* can now link their own Amazon Alexa account to the BMW
  Intelligent Personal Assistant. This enables them to use intuitive
  voice control to enjoy music via the “Hey BMW” command – courtesy of
  Alexa running in the background, just like at home. In addition, a
  second voice is now available for the assistant.** Further
  improvements in language understanding and faster processing speeds
  contribute to a more harmonious overall experience.</p>
<p>From summer 2025, BMW Digital Premium with BMW Operating System 9
  will, subject to country-specific availability, enable customers to
  use the Zoom app on their Curved Display for videoconferencing when
  the vehicle is stationary. To avoid distractions, the app
  automatically deactivates the video while driving.</p>
<p>* US, Canada, Mexico, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Spain, Italy.</p>
<p>** In the US, United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada, Mexico, France,
  Germany, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Switzerland, Austria, Iceland, Malta,
  Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein.</p>
<p>
  <strong>Parking Assistant Plus upgrade.</strong></p>
<p>From July 2025, the functions of the Parking Assistant Plus will be
  enhanced for many BMW models. It will now also use marker lines around
  parking spots to help identify available spaces and ensure parking
  precision. Previously, this feature was only available as part of the
  Parking Assistant Professional.</p>
<p>
  <strong>BMW Maps user interface upgrades in BMW Operating System 8.5.</strong></p>
<p>BMW Maps offers intuitive destination entry and intelligent route
  guidance and will come with further user interface improvements from
  summer 2025. For faster access to frequently used functions, the home
  screen of the control display will feature direct touch buttons for
  “Home” and “Work” in the BMW Maps QuickSelect Widget, for example.</p>

  <strong>Munich.</strong> For classic car fans in North America, the
  Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance has long been the perfect
  season-opening event. And the 28th running of the spring get-together
  shone the spotlight on exquisite rarities from days gone by, as well
  new models from Bavaria. BMW and BMW M GmbH joined forces to present
  the new editions of their Sports Activity Vehicles and Sports Activity
  Coupés – produced at BMW Group Plant Spartanburg. Introduced to the
  public for first time were the new BMW X5 and new BMW X6, plus the
  BMW X5 M Competition (fuel consumption, combined: 13.1 – 12.9 l/100 km
  [21.6 – 21.9 mpg imp]; CO2 emissions, combined:
  295 – 291 g/km in the WLTP cycle) and BMW X6 M Competition (fuel
  consumption, combined: 12.9 – 12.7 l/100 km [21.9 – 22.2 mpg imp];
  CO2 emissions, combined: 292 – 287 g/km in the WLTP cycle)
  high-performance models, with their extensively upgraded design and technology.</p>
<p>Precise design modifications, including new headlights and the latest
  version of the fully digital control/operation system BMW iDrive with
  BMW Curved Display, bring fresh cutting-edge appeal to the exterior
  and interior of the new BMW X5 and new BMW X6. And taking driving
  pleasure to new heights are the new and more powerful drive system for
  the BMW X5 xDrive50e plug-in hybrid model (fuel consumption, combined:
  1.1 – 0.8 l/100 km [256.8 – 353.1 mpg imp]; electric power
  consumption, combined: 27.0 – 22.9 kWh/100 km; CO2
  emissions: 26 – 18 g/km in the WLTP cycle) and the likewise new
  engines with 48V mild hybrid technology fitted in all other model
  variants. The new BMW X5 M Competition and new BMW X6 M Competition
  have a visibly honed exterior and, for the first time, a shared
  front-end design. The cabins of both vehicles feature state-of-the-art
  technology in the form of the BMW Curved Display including the BMW
  iDrive control/operation system with M-specific screen content. Their
  extensively modified V8 engines now also work with 48V technology and
  deliver their maximum output of 460 kW/625 hp with even greater
  urgency and in even more impressive style.</p>
<p>All four models handed their world premieres at Amelia Island also
  benefit from a significantly expanded portfolio of systems for
  automated driving and parking. For example, the cars can now be parked
  and complete manoeuvres carried out from outside the vehicle using an
  Apple iPhone.</p>
<p>
  <strong>BMW Group Classic glitters with racing legends and design icons.</strong></p>
<p>Joining the fray alongside the sporty new arrivals from BMW and BMW M
  at Amelia Island was a true legend of motor sport – the BMW 3.0 CSL.
  BMW Group Classic brought the fabled racer to the show to mark a very
  special anniversary. Exactly 50 years ago, Toine Hezemans (NL) and
  Dieter Quester (AT) drove the 3.0 CSL to victory in the touring car
  (“Tourisme Spéciale”) class at the Le Mans 24 Hours race. The
  reliability of the 3.3-litre engine in the number 51 car played a key
  role here, as the pairing also finished 11th in the overall standings
  at the prestigious endurance classic.</p>
<p>At Amelia Island, the 3.0 CSL racing coupé took turns on display in
  the BMW Group Classic space with the series-produced version of the
  two-door car also known as the “Batmobile” (on account of its
  spectacular rear wing). This final development stage of the BMW 3.0
  CSL with 3.2-litre engine producing 206 hp, of which only 167 examples
  were made, is also celebrating its 50th birthday this year. Adding the
  cherry to the cake of the BMW Group Classic line-up was the BMW 507.
  The roadster’s reputation as one of the most iconic BMW cars of all
  time endures to this day.</p>
<p>
  <strong>BMW Z3 and BMW Z4: hallmark BMW roadster feeling across four generations.</strong></p>
<p>The run-up to the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance saw almost three
  decades of roadster history reunited. A road trip through Florida
  brought together a handful of BMW Z3 and BMW Z4 models from four
  generations. The line-up of cars selected for the tour from southern
  Florida to the venue for the classic car event in the north-east of
  the Sunshine State ranged from the BMW Z3 to the latest BMW Z4, which
  recently gained a fresh round of design and equipment updates.</p>
<p>The BMW Z3 was the first model built for the global market at BMW
  Group Plant Spartanburg in the US state of South Carolina. The
  roadster was unveiled in 1995 and made its first public appearance in
  the blockbuster James Bond movie <em>GoldenEye</em>. It remained on
  sale until 2002, when it was replaced by the first BMW Z4. With its
  eye-catching lines and cutting-edge equipment details, the Z4 put
  clear ground between itself and its predecessor. Seven years further
  on, the second-generation BMW Z4 provided a fresh interpretation of
  the roadster art – with its elegantly sweeping lines and, most
  notably, a retractable metal hardtop which could be lowered and raised
  again electrohydraulically at the touch of a button. The third
  generation of the Z4 has been putting smiles on the faces of open-top
  driving pleasure aficionados since 2018. Crisp proportions, a
  classical – and electrically powered – soft-top roof and a new level
  of dynamic talent set it apart from the crowd, as does the
  unique-in-its-segment straight-six engine of the range-topping model.</p><div class="co2emission"><div class="co2emission-headline">CO2 EMISSIONS & CONSUMPTION.</div><div class="co2emission-text"><p>

  responsive power delivery. Fresh design accents emphasise the dynamic
  and extravagant aura of both models. Digital technology not only
  optimises control and operation, it also delivers advances in the
  field of automated driving and parking systems.</p>
<p>
  <strong>The first high-performance models from BMW M GmbH to feature
    48V technology.</strong></p>
<p>The latest generation of drive technology fitted in the new
  BMW X5 M Competition and new BMW X6 M Competition marks the debut of
  48V technology in the brand’s high-performance models. An electric
  motor integrated in the compact housing of the eight-speed
  M Steptronic transmission delivers up to 9 kW/12 hp of additional
  drive power and 200 Nm (147 lb-ft) of torque, while also functioning
  as a crankshaft-mounted starter generator. The energy required for
  this is supplied by a 48V battery housed in the engine compartment.
  The battery is charged through highly efficient adaptive recuperation
  under braking and on the overrun.</p>
<p>The 48V technology joins forces with a new M TwinPower Turbo V8
  engine. As well as its cross-bank exhaust manifold, the 4.4‑litre unit
  now also features a reinforced crankshaft drive, further developed
  turbocharging, a new air intake duct and an optimised oil supply
  system and oil separation process. It delivers peak torque of 750 Nm
  (553 lb-ft) between 1,800 and 5,800 rpm and generates maximum output
  of 460 kW/625 hp at 6,000 rpm.</p>
<p>The sharper response and high-revving character of the V8 engine,
  together with the boost provided by the electric motor, take the
  performance attributes for which M cars are renowned to an even more
  enthralling level. The new BMW X5 M Competition and
  BMW X6 M Competition each accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in
  3.9 seconds. The drive system’s more effervescent nature can also be
  clearly felt when putting in a quick burst of speed. The standard
  M Sport exhaust system with electrically controlled flaps adds another
  layer to the performance experience with its exhilarating drive sound.
  New catalytic converters, meanwhile, do their bit to improve the
  petrol engine’s emissions performance.</p>
<p>
  <strong>Precise transfer of power: new eight-speed M Steptronic
    transmission with Drivelogic, new application of M xDrive, Active M Differential.</strong></p>
<p>The engine’s power is relayed to a new version of the eight-speed
  M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic that offers a choice of
  three shift settings in both automated and manual mode. New features
  include, among other things, a retuned setup and a sharper shift action.</p>
<p>Further adding to the distinctive performance experience offered by
  the new BMW X5 M Competition and BMW X6 M Competition is a newly
  adapted version of the M xDrive all-wheel-drive system, which teams up
  with the Active M Differential at the rear axle. The M Setup menu lets
  the driver switch from the default 4WD setting to 4WD Sport mode,
  which makes it possible to execute controlled drifts by splitting
  power with a distinct rear-wheel bias.</p>
<p>
  <strong>Precise chassis setup offering supremely assured performance.</strong></p>
<p>The body structure and chassis mountings have an exceptionally stiff
  design, ensuring both models handle with M’s signature blend of
  dynamism, agility and precision. The suspension and damping systems
  also enable them to offer an exceptional breadth of ability from
  out-and-out sportiness to long-distance comfort. The toe-in values at
  the rear axle have been modified for even greater poise at high speeds.</p>
<p>Standard specification includes adaptive M suspension Professional
  featuring reworked electronically controlled dampers and active roll
  stabilisation. A modified application of the steering gear result in
  an M Servotronic steering ratio that is even more conducive to sharp
  handling dynamics. The M Compound brakes work in tandem with the
  latest-generation integrated braking system in an M-specific
  configuration that presents the driver with two pedal feel settings.</p>
<p>Instead of just being interconnected with the DSC (Dynamic Stability
  Control) as before, the M xDrive all-wheel-drive system and the Active
  M Differential also work in unison with near-actuator wheel slip
  limitation for the first time in the new BMW X5 M Competition and
  BMW X6 M Competition. This ensures even swifter and more precise
  reactions to changes in the driving situation, along with greater traction.</p>
<p>Both models come as standard with 21-inch M light-alloy wheels at the
  front paired with 22-inch M light-alloy items at the rear. Forged
  M light-alloy wheels with the same dimensions are available as
  optional extras. They include a new variant in a Jet Black solid finish.</p>
<p>
  <strong>Exuding exclusivity and a marked increase in presence.</strong></p>
<p>Sporting dominance and an extrovert visual attitude headline the
  exterior design of the new BMW X5 M Competition and new
  BMW X6 M Competition. The increased presence is mainly down to the new
  front-end design. Both models now have new matrix LED headlights with
  adaptive control and BMW Selective Beam non-dazzling high beam. The
  outline of the new headlight units is 35 millimetres narrower than on
  the outgoing models. They can also be specified as an option as M
  Shadowline lights. The BMW kidney grille is now all-black in colour.
  Horizontal kidney grille bars and enlarged model badging add some
  eye-catching touches. In addition to this, the BMW kidney grille and
  central lower air intake now form a single black, x-shaped area.</p>
<p>The side view shines a spotlight on the clear design language of the
  two models and their distinctive proportions. Their exterior mirror
  caps and the rear spoiler of the BMW X6 M Competition are also
  available in carbon as an option. On both models, a prominent diffuser
  insert extends downwards at the lower edge of the rear apron. It also
  provides a sophisticated border for the two pairs of twin exhaust
  tailpipes familiar from other M models. The BMW X5 M Competition now
  uses x-shaped fibre-optic light guide elements for its rear lights and
  brake lights, providing another head-turning attraction at the rear end.</p>
<p>
  <strong>Modern, digital, exclusive: M cockpit with BMW Curved Display.</strong></p>
<p>At the heart of the design updates for the interior of the new
  BMW X5 M Competition and BMW X6 M Competition is the BMW Curved
  Display, which gives the M-typical cockpit a modern and exclusive
  feel. It is formed by a 12.3-inch information display behind the
  steering wheel and a control display with a screen diagonal of
  14.9 inches, with a single glass surface incorporating both. The
  control display’s touchscreen enables digital control of numerous
  functions, resulting in a significant reduction in the number of
  buttons and controls.</p>
<p>Other new features include the broad interior trim strip in Fineline
  Black fine wood with high-gloss metal effect, the ambient light bar
  with effective backlighting and the addition of an M logo to its
  graphic, plus the M leather steering wheel with its new carbon
  gearshift paddles. Also to be found on the standard equipment list are
  M multifunction seats, knee pads, fine-grain Merino full leather trim
  and the Harman Kardon Surround Sound System. The Sky Lounge panoramic
  glass sunroof, the Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System
  and a new Travel & Comfort System are just some of the optional
  extras available. A wide choice of model-specific BMW M Performance
  Parts from the Original BMW Accessories range are also available for
  the exterior and interior.</p>
<p>
  <strong>Significantly expanded selection of driver assistance systems.</strong></p>
<p>Comfort and safety in the new BMW X5 M Competition and
  BMW X6 M Competition are further enhanced by a much wider selection of
  automated driving and parking systems. The standard front collision
  warning’s range of functions has been extended so that it also now
  reduces the risk of a collision with cyclists, pedestrians and
  oncoming traffic when turning off a road. The Lane Departure Warning
  function has been upgraded with the addition of lane return with
  steering assistance. The list of available options now also includes
  features such as automatic Speed Limit Assist, the exit warning
  function, Active Navigation, route speed control, traffic light
  recognition (not available in all markets), the Emergency Stop
  Assistant and the Lane Change and Merging Assistant.</p>
<p>The new optional Parking Assistant Professional makes it possible to
  control automated parking manoeuvres into and out of spaces – as well
  as other full manoeuvres covering a distance of up to 200 metres –
  from outside the vehicle using the My BMW App on an Apple iPhone. The
  driver is able to control each manoeuvre either from inside the
  vehicle or remotely while they monitor the vehicle’s surroundings.</p>
<p>
  <strong>Familiar M control/operation concept, new digital services.</strong></p>
<p>The M-specific control/operation concept includes the Setup button
  for direct access to the settings options for the engine, chassis,
  steering, braking system and M xDrive. The amount of content shown in
  the displays can also be individually adjusted, as can the level of
  driver assistance system functionality. After pressing the M Mode
  button on the centre console, drivers are able to choose between ROAD,
  SPORT and TRACK settings.</p>
<p>Besides the BMW Curved Display with M-specific readouts, the
  latest-generation BMW iDrive based on BMW Operating System 8 also
  brings new digital services to the BMW X5 M Competition and
  BMW X6 M Competition. The standard BMW Live Cockpit Professional also
  features the BMW head-up display and the cloud-based BMW Maps
  navigation system complete with Augmented View function. Whenever the
  vehicle is stationary, the driver and front passenger are able to
  enjoy streaming content from both YouTube and the Bundesliga in-car
  app on the control display.</p>
<p>The optional BMW Digital Key Plus enables customers to lock and
  unlock their car using compatible smartphones with either an iOS or
  Android operating system by means of ultra-wideband (UWB) radio
  technology. Optimised smartphone integration, the personalised BMW ID
  functionality and a Personal eSIM designed for new 5G mobile
  technology are also all available to use.</p><div class="co2emission"><div class="co2emission-headline">CO2 EMISSIONS & CONSUMPTION.</div><div class="co2emission-text"><p>

  <strong>BMW M GmbH closes anniversary year with new sales record. </strong></p>
<p> </p>
<p>
  <strong>Munich</strong>. At the end of its anniversary year, BMW M
  GmbH has once again achieved record results. Global sales of
  performance and high-performance cars rose to 177,257 vehicles during
  the 2022 financial year. This represents an increase of 8.4 per cent
  compared to the previous year, despite the continuing challenging
  conditions in the area of logistics and supply chains. The most
  important single market in 2022 was again the USA, with the second
  most important sales region again being the German domestic market,
  followed by the UK.</p>
<p>“The enthusiasm of the M community for emotionally powerful
  performance on the road and on the racetrack has carried us through
  the entire anniversary year,” says Franciscus van Meel, Chairman of
  the Board of Management of BMW M GmbH. “This is also expressed in a
  new sales record for BMW M automobiles, which gives us a positive
  outlook for 2023.”</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
  <strong>BMW i4 M50: the best-selling BMW M automobile drives locally
    emission-free. <br /></strong>At the same time, 2022 marks BMW M
  GmbH's successful start into the age of electric mobility. “The
  best-selling BMW M automobile of 2022 is the all-electric BMW i4 M50,”
  says Timo Resch, Head of Customer, Brand and Sales at BMW M GmbH. “For
  us, this is a clear signal that the unique M feeling has arrived in
  the world of electrified vehicles.” The BMW i4 M50 is powered by an
  electric motor on both the front and rear axles, which together
  generate a maximum output of 400 kW/544 hp. The perfectly coordinated
  power delivery of the two e-motors and independent suspension tuning
  ensure an M-typical driving experience characterised by dynamics,
  agility and precision, which proved to be a real crowd-puller right
  from the outset.</p>
<p>With the BMW iX M60*, a second all-electric performance car from BMW
  M GmbH made a highly successful debut. During the course of 2023, BMW
  M GmbH will continue its product offensive with, among other things,
  the first electrified high-performance automobile, the BMW XM, and the
  BMW i7 M70, a BMW M automobile based on the fully electric BMW i7. The
  further transformation towards electric mobility has also already been
  mapped out. In order to be able to include high-performance cars with
  purely electric drive in the range in the future, BMW M GmbH will
  intensify the corresponding concept testing in 2023. The focus will be
  on an integrated driving dynamics control system and an electric M
  xDrive all-wheel drive system with four electric motors, which will
  ensure that the emotionally powerful M feeling reaches an even higher level.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
  <strong>Anniversary year with spectacular premieres, BMW M3 and BMW M4
    remain on the road to success, fast-paced launch for the new BMW
    M240i xDrive Coupe*. <br /></strong>The celebrations of the 50th
  anniversary of BMW M GmbH were accompanied by debuts for numerous
  spectacular new models. The broad spectrum of new releases ranged from
  the second generation of the puristic BMW M2*, with its combination of
  straight six-cylinder engine, 6-speed manual transmission and
  rear-wheel drive, which evokes classic driving pleasure in a
  high-performance automobile, to the extroverted BMW XM with its
  480 kW/653 hp M HYBRID drive. The first BMW M3 Touring* also offers
  completely new ways to experience M-typical performance. This
  diversity creates ideal conditions for attracting additional target
  groups and generating further growth in 2023.</p>
<p>The current increase in sales figures is also based on sales
  successes in a wide range of vehicle segments. The high-performance
  sports cars of the BMW M3 and BMW M4 series, which – including the new
  BMW M3 Touring – are available in four body variants, in two
  performance levels, with a choice of a 6-speed manual or an 8-speed M
  Steptronic transmission, as well as with rear-wheel drive or the
  all-wheel drive system M xDrive, continued to enjoy particularly
  widespread popularity in 2022. BMW M GmbH thus covers a wide range of
  customer needs in this core segment.</p>
<p>With an exceptionally strong performance within their competitive
  environment, the high-performance cars based on BMW X models also
  contributed to BMW M GmbH's new sales record. The upcoming upgrade for
  the BMW X5 M and BMW X6 M models in spring 2023 will provide effective
  impetus for a continuation of this success story.</p>
<p>The successful launch of the new BMW M240i xDrive Coupe in 2022
  proved to be a highlight in the performance car segment. The new
  edition of the compact two-door is powered by a 275 kW/374 hp
  straight-six engine and is now also available with classic rear-wheel
  drive. “The new sales record for BMW M Automobiles is based on our
  successful presence in a broad range of vehicle segments,” says Timo
  Resch. “With our wide-ranging product portfolio, we are also ideally
  positioned for the future.”</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
  <strong>Premiere at Daytona: the new BMW M3 CS* and the BMW M Hybrid V8.</strong>
  <br />In addition, BMW M GmbH fulfils the desire for particularly
  concentrated racing characteristics with attractive special models –
  as early as 2022 with the BMW M4 CSL* and soon with the new BMW M3 CS.</p>
<p>The BMW M3 CS will make its world debut on the last weekend of
  January as part of the 24-hour race at Daytona. The tradition-steeped
  competition in the US state of Florida is also the venue for BMW M
  Motorsport's comeback to endurance racing. The new BMW M Hybrid V8
  will compete there for the first time. 47 years after the Daytona
  overall victory of the legendary BMW 3.0 CSL, the new LMDh prototype
  is set to race for points in the IMSA GTP class of the WeatherTech
  SportsCar Championship before also competing in the official FIA World
  Endurance Championship at Le Mans and elsewhere in 2024.</p>
<p>The final phase of the development process and the subsequent test
  drives on various race tracks were among the highlights of 2022 for
  the BMW M GmbH motorsport department, while the all-important success
  on the race track was the overall victory in the DTM drivers' and
  teams' championships. South African Sheldon van der Linde and Team
  Schubert Motorsport secured the title win in the prestigious touring
  car championship in the very first season with the new BMW M4 GT3.</p>

  <strong>Munich. </strong>For the third time in a row, BMW M GmbH ended
  the financial year as the global market leader in the performance and
  high-performance car segment. Indeed, the company posted record sales
  once again in 2021. A total of 163,542 BMW M cars were delivered to
  customers worldwide last year, a 13 percent increase on 2020.</p>
<p>This growth was spread equally between the High-Performance sports
  cars and Performance cars made by BMW M GmbH, with both product
  categories raising their sales figures to a new level. “This success
  is the perfect start to our anniversary year,” says Franciscus van
  Meel, CEO of BMW M GmbH. “M is in a stronger position than ever as it
  celebrates its 50th birthday.”</p>
<p>
  <strong>New BMW M3 and new BMW M4 enjoy immediate success.</strong></p>
<p>The biggest drivers of growth among the High-Performance sports cars
  were the new BMW M3 and BMW M4 models introduced in spring 2021.
  Fuelled by a vehicle concept focused squarely on emotionally charged
  dynamism and unprecedented diversity in the model range, the new BMW
  M3 Sedan (fuel consumption combined: 10.2 – 10.0 l/100 km [27.7 – 28.3
  mpg imp]; CO2 emissions combined: 231 – 227 g/km as per
  WLTP), new BMW M4 Coupé (fuel consumption combined: 10.1 – 9.9 l/100
  km [28.0 – 28.5 mpg imp]; CO2 emissions combined:
  230 – 226 g/km as per WLTP) and new BMW M4 Convertible (fuel
  consumption combined: 10.2 l/100 km [27.7 mpg imp]; CO2
  emissions combined: 233 – 231 g/km as per WLTP) got off to an
  extremely successful start. The latest model generation is the first
  to offer customers two output levels topping out at 375 kW/510 hp, the
  M xDrive all-wheel-drive system and a choice of either a six-speed
  manual gearbox or the eight-speed M Steptronic transmission.</p>
<p>“The response to the new generation of the BMW M3 and BMW M4 has been
  simply overwhelming,” reports Timo Resch, Vice President Customer,
  Brand and Sales at BMW M GmbH. “We can therefore expect demand for
  these iconic sports cars to continue on an upward curve in 2022.”</p>
<p>Also making a powerful contribution to the latest rise in
  High-Performance model sales at BMW M GmbH were the BMW X5 M
  Competition (fuel consumption combined: 13.6 – 13.3 l/100 km [20.8
  – 21,2 mpg imp]; CO2 emissions combined: 308 – 303 g/km as
  per WLTP) and BMW X6 M Competition (fuel consumption combined:
  13.4 – 13.1 l/100 km [21.1 – 21.6 mpg imp]; CO2 emissions
  combined: 305 – 299 g/km as per WLTP). Following the successful market
  launch of the latest model generation the previous year, the
  charismatic High-Performance sports cars in the Sports Activity
  Vehicle and Sports Activity Coupé segment – both powered by a 460
  kW/625 hp V8 engine – increased their sales figures once again in 2021.</p>
<p>
  <strong>Alluring and in demand: the BMW M models in the BMW 4 Series range.</strong></p>
<p>The dynamic excellence, agility and precision for which M is renowned
  also enabled the brand’s Performance models to delight and excite a
  wide range of customers over the past year. Credit for the latest
  boost to sales goes above all to the M models based on the new BMW 4
  Series. Particularly popular were the variants of the new BMW 4 Series
  Coupé, whose line-up consists of the BMW M440i Coupé (fuel consumption
  combined: 8.1 – 7.4 l/100 km [34.8 – 38.2 mpg imp]; CO2
  emissions combined: 184 – 167 g/km as per WLTP) and BMW
  M440i xDrive Coupé (fuel consumption combined: 8.2 – 7.5 l/100 km
  [34.5 – 37.7 mpg imp]; CO2 emissions combined:
  186 – 170 g/km as per WLTP) powered by a 275 kW/374 hp six-cylinder
  in-line petrol engine, and the BMW M440d xDrive Coupé (fuel
  consumption combined: 6.3 – 5.7 l/100 km [44.8 – 49.6 mpg imp];
  CO2 emissions combined: 165 – 150 g/km as per WLTP), whose
  six-cylinder in-line diesel unit produces 250 kW/340 hp.</p>
<p>The latest BMW X models within the ranks of M’s Performance cars also
  proved extremely desirable. Indeed, the BMW X3 M40i powered by a
  six-cylinder in-line engine with 265 kW/360 hp (fuel consumption
  combined: 9.5 – 8.8 l/100 km [29.7 – 32.1 mpg imp]; CO2
  emissions combined: 216 – 199 g/km as per WLTP) and the BMW X7 M50i
  (fuel consumption combined: 12.8 – 12.3 l/100 km [22.1 – 23.0 mpg
  imp]; CO2 emissions combined: 292 – 280 g/km as per WLTP)
  with its 390 kW/530 hp V8 unit both posted an increase in new registrations.</p>
<p>
  <strong>Looking ahead to an anniversary year brimming with highlights.</strong></p>
<p>BMW M GmbH will continue its product offensive in this anniversary
  year with the addition of new High-Performance and Performance models.
  Highlights include the new BMW M240i xDrive Coupé (fuel consumption
  combined: 8.8 – 8.1 l/100 km [32.1 – 34.9 mpg imp]; CO2
  emissions combined: 200 – 185 g/km as per WLTP) and the arrival later
  in the year of the first BMW M3 Touring and an exclusive
  special-edition model based on the new BMW M4 Coupé.</p>
<p>In addition, the BMW Group subsidiary – which was founded as BMW
  Motorsport GmbH in May 1972 and enjoys the status of an independent
  manufacturer – will also drive the transformation to electric
  mobility. Following in the tyre tracks of the BMW i4 M50 (electric
  power consumption combined: 22.5 – 18.0 kWh/100 km as per WLTP;
  CO2 emissions combined: 0 g/km) in the first half of 2022
  will be the likewise fully electric BMW iX M60 (projected electric
  power consumption combined: 24.7 – 21.7 kWh/100 km as per WLTP;
  CO2 emissions combined: 0 g/km).</p>
<p>
  <strong>The most powerful BMW M model ever made points the way to the
    future of the brand.</strong></p>
<p>The anniversary year will be crowned by the start of production of
  the BMW XM. The most powerful BMW M car ever to go into series
  production is also the brand’s first High-Performance model to employ
  a plug-in hybrid drive system. Its newly developed M Hybrid technology
  brings together a V8 engine and a high-performance electric motor to
  develop maximum output of 550 kW/750 hp and peak torque of 1,000 Nm
  (737 lb-ft). The design of the BMW XM majors on presence and extrovert
  appeal and in so doing sends out a clear statement in the luxury segment.</p>
<p>“Our first standalone model since the legendary BMW M1 represents a
  complete re-imagining of the high-performance car segment,” says van
  Meel. “The BMW XM blends expressive design and progressive interior
  luxury with an incomparable driving experience that serves up both
  sublime performance and the ability to glide along in near silence in
  all-electric mode. In so doing, it provides an inimitable expression
  of poise and assurance, and at the same time points the way to the
  future of our brand.”</p><div class="co2emission"><div class="co2emission-headline">CO2 EMISSIONS & CONSUMPTION.</div><div class="co2emission-text"><p>

  <strong>Munich. </strong>With yet another new sales record, the BMW M
  GmbH continued to grow also in the 2020 fiscal year. Despite the
  effects of the Corona pandemic on the market, it was possible to
  increase the number of BMW M automobiles sold by 6 percent to
  144,218 units. Thanks to this result, the subsidiary company of the
  BMW Group with the status of an independent company has significantly
  strengthened its market leadership within the competitive environment
  first gained in 2019. “The fact that we were able to conclude this
  exceptionally challenging year with yet a further record is great
  validation of our consistent growth strategy,” says Markus Flasch, CEO
  BMW M GmbH. “We can be particularly proud of the fact that we were
  able not only to defend our market dominance as the most successful
  provider of performance and high-performances automobiles, but also to
  have even expanded it.”</p>
<p>The further increase in sales figures was due, inter alia, to the
  successful market launch of the models BMW X5 M (combined fuel
  consumption: 13.1 – 12.6 l/100 km according to WLTP, 13.0 – 12.8 l/100
  km according to NEDC; combined CO2 emissions: 298 – 287
  g/km according to WLTP, 296 – 287 g/km according to NEDC) and BMW X6 M
  (combined fuel consumption: 13.4 – 13.1 l/100 km according to WLTP,
  13.1 l/100 km according to NEDC; combined CO2 emissions:
  305 – 300 g/km according to WLTP, 301 g/km according to NEDC). With V8
  power units delivering up to 460 kW/625 hp, BMW M automobiles from the
  Sports Activity Vehicle and Sports Activity Coupe segment offer a
  particularly characteristic high-performance experience. Likewise, the
  special edition model BMW M2 CS (combined fuel consumption:
  10.1 – 9.2 l/100 km according to WLTP, 10.4 – 9.4 l/100 km according
  to NEDC; combined CO2 emissions: 229 – 210 g/km according
  to WLTP, 238 – 214 g/km according to NEDC), which serves as the basis
  for a new competition vehicle from BMW Motorsport, has also received a
  positive response. In the high-performance model sector alone, it was
  possible to increase the number of worldwide deliveries by 4 percent
  vs. the year 2019.</p>
<p>Moreover, it was predominantly the performance automobiles developed
  for the new BMW 3 Series and the new BMW 4 Series that helped boost
  the sales of the BMW M GmbH so decisively. With powerful straight
  six-cylinder petrol and diesel power plants, specific suspension
  tuning and stand-alone design features, the top-of-the-range offer for
  the BMW 3 Series Sedan, the BMW 3 Series Touring and the BMW 4 Series
  Coupe also guarantees that characteristic M experience in the premium
  mid-range segment, coupled with unrestricted suitability for everyday
  use and long distances.</p>
<p>
  <strong>Growing demand in all relevant markets. </strong></p>
<p>Technology transferred from motor racing, precisely coordinated
  features in the areas of drive systems, suspension, aerodynamics,
  interior design and operation as well as the resulting authentic
  character of BMW M automobiles, create a fascination, which continued
  in 2020 to captivate an increasing number of performance-oriented
  customers throughout the world. For example, in the USA, the most
  important market for BMW M automobiles, as well as in China, new
  records were achieved. In both Russia and Korea, it was possible to
  increase sales by more than 60 percent, and in Italy by 47 percent.
  And in the UK, too, the number of vehicles delivered exceeded our
  expectations. “We notice a steadily growing demand in all relevant
  markets for BMW M automobiles,” explains Thomas Felbermair, head of
  Sales and Marketing at BMW M GmbH. “Because of this and thanks to the
  engagement of our strong dealer network, we have been outstandingly
  successful in coping with the challenges posed by the pandemic.”</p>
<p>
  <strong>Ready to go: BMW M5 CS, BMW M3 Sedan and BMW M4 Coupe. </strong></p>
<p>Looking towards the future, the initial focus shifts to the world
  premiere of the BMW M5 CS, which will take place in January 2021. A
  special edition of the BMW M5 will then be available for the first
  time – with outstanding performance and exclusive motorsport
  characteristics. Following that, the main focus will be on the market
  launch of the new BMW M3 Sedan starting in March 2021 (combined fuel
  consumption: 10.6 – 10.3 l/100 km according to WLTP, 10.8 l/100 km
  according to NEDC; combined CO2 emissions: 241 – 236 g/km
  according to WLTP, 248 g/km according to NEDC) and the new
  BMW M4 Coupe (combined fuel consumption: 10.5 – 10.3 l/100 km
  according to WLTP, 10.8 l/100 km according to NEDC; combined
  CO2 emissions: 240 –  235 g/km according to WLTP, 248 g/km
  according to NEDC). The two high-performance automobiles represent the
  essence of that unmistakable M feeling. Immediately after their world
  premiere, the new model generation aroused keen interest around the globe.</p>
<p>In future, the wishes of the M Community will be fulfilled by
  extraordinary diversity: Each variant with classic manual shift will
  be complemented by a Competition model featuring an 8-speed M
  Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic. Moreover, in the summer of
  2021, the four-wheel drive system M xDrive will be added for the first
  time to the drive portfolio for the BMW M3 and the BMW M4. And the
  BMW M4 Convertible will also be launched in time for the warm season.
  On the other hand, the first BMW M3 Touring is still undergoing the
  series development process.</p>
<p>
  <strong>A glance into the future: continued growth, new M feeling
    through electrification, and an anniversary.  </strong></p>
<p>“It is remarkable that it was possible to achieve the new sales
  record even before the launch of our most important models,” says
  Markus Flasch. “The new BMW M3 and BMW M4 generation offers us the
  promise of dynamic growth in 2021 as well.” Moreover, he now also
  looks forward to presenting a completely new manifestation of the
  distinctive M feeling. Electrification will provide the basis for
  this. During the year 2021, the BMW M GmbH will be presenting an
  electrically powered performance automobile for the first time.</p>
<p>With this setting of agenda with which the “Power of Choice” strategy
  has been realised within the model range of the BMW M GmbH, and an
  exceptionally strong product range, the company is heading full of
  optimism for the forthcoming anniversary year. 2022 will be the year
  in which the BMW M GmbH celebrates 50 years of its existence. Markus
  Flasch has already announced “a year full of surprises”: “If I mention
  the keyword special edition models, it should be clear what our
  customers can look forward to during the anniversary year.”</p><div class="co2emission"><div class="co2emission-headline">CO2 EMISSIONS & CONSUMPTION.</div><div class="co2emission-text"><p>

  <strong>Munich.</strong> With the introduction of 48-volt mild hybrid
  technology in additional model series from summer 2020, BMW continues
  to consistently reduce fuel consumption and emissions in its current
  vehicle fleet. From July and August 2020, both efficiency and dynamic
  performance will be optimised in 51 models with the use of a
  particularly powerful starter generator and an additional battery.
  This also applies to the new in-line 6-cylinder diesel engines in the
  BMW 7 Series and in the BMW X3, BMW X4, BMW X5, BMW X6 and BMW X7. Two
  additional engine variants are available for the BMW 2 Series Gran
  Coupé from July 2020 onwards. In numerous plug-in hybrid models, the
  new BMW eDrive Zone function will ensure an automatic switch to purely
  electric operating mode when entering inner city areas such as low
  emission zones.</p>
<p>The extension of the range of standard and optional equipment
  features in the areas of driver assistance systems, operation and
  networking contributes to an increase in driving pleasure. A new
  display and control system will be part of the standard trim in the
  new BMW 3 Series from July 2020. Among other things, BMW Operating
  System 7 enables use of the optional BMW Intelligent Personal
  Assistant. Furthermore, in the BMW 3 Series and other model series the
  range of functions of the optional Driving Assistant Professional is
  supplemented by Active Navigation Guidance and the Emergency Lane
  Assistant. With the optional smartphone integration, numerous current
  BMW models will enable use of Android Auto in addition to Apple
  CarPlay as of summer 2020.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
  <strong>Increased dynamic performance and reduced fuel consumption:
    48-volt mild hybrid technology now in 51 BMW models. <br clear="all" /></strong>From summer 2020 onwards, mild hybrid
  technology will be used in numerous additional BMW models to provide
  support and relief for the combustion engine. It consists of a 48-volt
  starter generator that enables particularly intensive braking energy
  recuperation along with an additional battery to store the electricity
  that is generated in this way. The 48-volt battery not only supplies
  the electrically operated vehicle functions, it also makes its energy
  available to generate additional drive power. For this purpose the
  current flows back to the starter generator, which now takes on the
  role of an electric drive. This reduces the load on the combustion
  engine, allowing it to run as often as possible in an
  efficiency-optimised load range. What is more, the generator creates
  an electric boost during acceleration. This instantly available
  additional output of 8 kW/11 hp supports dynamic power delivery during
  start and acceleration.</p>
<p>The 48-volt mild hybrid technology was first introduced in selected
  model variants of the BMW 5 Series in autumn 2019. This was followed
  by the BMW 3 Series models and several BMW X models. From July and
  August 2020, it will be available as standard in 37 further model
  variants of the BMW 3 Series, BMW 5 Series, BMW 6 Series and BMW 7
  Series as well as the BMW X3, BMW X4, BMW X5, BMW X6 and BMW X7. All
  in all it will ensure efficiency and dynamic performance in 51 current
  BMW models.</p>
<p>
  <strong>More power, less emissions: the new in-line 6-cylinder diesel
    engines with optimised BMW TwinPower Turbo Technology. <br clear="all" /></strong>A new generation of in-line 6-cylinder engines
  will make its debut in numerous BMW model series in summer 2020. These
  highly efficient aluminium power units, each with a capacity of 3.0
  litres, combine their extensively further developed BMW TwinPower
  Turbo Technology with the new 48-volt mild hybrid system, thereby
  achieving particularly significant progress within the context of BMW
  EfficientDynamics. In addition to optimised turbocharging systems, the
  latest version of common rail direct injection with piezo injectors
  ensures that both performance and efficiency are significantly
  increased in the new diesel engines. The injectors now transport fuel
  to the combustion chambers in up to ten injections per cycle and at a
  maximum pressure of 2,700 bar.</p>
<p>With maximum output increased by 15 kW/21 hp to 210 kW/286 hp, the
  new diesel engine for the models BMW 730d (combined fuel consumption:
  4.9 – 4.7 l/100 km; combined CO2 emissions: 128 – 123 g/km)
  and BMW 730d xDrive (combined fuel consumption: 5.2 – 5.0 l/100 km;
  combined CO2 emissions: 138 – 133 g/km), BMW 730Ld
  (combined fuel consumption: 5.0 – 4.8 l/100 km; combined
  CO2 emissions: 130 – 126 g/km), BMW 730Ld xDrive (combined
  fuel consumption: 5.3 – 5.1 l/100 km; combined CO2
  emissions: 139 – 133 g/km), BMW X3 xDrive30d (combined fuel
  consumption: 5.6 – 5.2 l/100 km; combined CO2 emissions:
  147 – 137 g/km), BMW X4 xDrive30d (combined fuel consumption:
  5.6 – 5.1 l/100 km; combined CO2 emissions:
  146 – 136 g/km), BMW X5 xDrive30d (combined fuel consumption:
  6.2 – 5.7 l/100 km; combined CO2 emissions: 164 – 150 g/km)
  und BMW X6 xDrive30d (combined fuel consumption: 6.2 – 5.7 l/100 km;
  combined CO2 emissions: 162 – 149 g/km) demonstrates a
  perceptibly enhanced temperament. Its particularly spontaneous power
  delivery is due to the multi-stage turbocharging used for the first
  time in this version of the in-line 6-cylinder diesel engine, along
  with variable turbine geometry for the low-pressure stage of the
  system. Increased by 30 to 650 Nm, the maximum torque of the new drive
  unit goes on stream at between 1,500 and 2,500 rpm – a power boost
  that especially results in enhanced sprint capacity. For example, the
  BMW 730d and the BMW 730d xDrive have improved their acceleration from
  zero to 100 km/h by 0.2 seconds each to 5.9 and 5.6 seconds respectively.</p>
<p>The new diesel engine now also used in the BMW 740d xDrive models BMW
  740d xDrive (combined fuel consumption: 5.4 – 5.2 l/100 km; combined
  CO2 emissions: 142 – 136 g/km), BMW 740Ld xDrive (combined
  fuel consumption: 5.4 – 5.2 l/100 km; combined CO2
  emissions: 143 – 137 g/km), BMW X3 M40d (combined fuel consumption:
  6.0 – 5.6 l/100 km; combined CO2 emissions:
  157 – 148 g/km), BMW X4 M40d (combined fuel consumption:
  5.9 – 5.6 l/100 km; combined CO2 emissions: 156 – 147 g/km)
  und BMW X7 xDrive40d (combined fuel consumption: 6.6 – 6.4 l/100 km;
  combined CO2 emissions: 173 – 167 g/km) generates even
  greater pulling power. Its multi-stage turbocharging system comprises
  a high-pressure and a low-pressure turbocharger with variable turbine
  geometry. As a result, a maximum torque of 700 Nm is delivered between
  1,750 and 2,250 rpm. The engine reaches its peak output of 250 kW/340
  hp at 4 400 rpm. In the BMW 740d xDrive, for example, this increased
  power helps achieve a sprint from standstill to 100 km/h that is also
  improved by 0.2 seconds to 5.0 seconds.</p>
<p>The two new engines are feature exhaust gas treatment technology with
  engine-related components consisting of a diesel oxidation catalytic
  converter and an SCR coating on the diesel particulate filter. For
  optimum reduction of nitrogen oxide (NOX) emissions, a
  second dosage unit is additionally integrated at the outlet of the
  engine-related SCR system. As a result, the models powered by the new
  in-line 6-cylinder diesel engines meet the Euro 6d emissions standard.</p>
<p>
  <strong>Expansion of the model range for the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé.
      <br clear="all" /></strong>The BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé model range
  will be extended from July 2020 with the addition of two new engine
  variants. A new entry-level diesel engine and an additional all-wheel
  drive model variant are available for the sporty, elegant four-door
  model in the premium compact segment. The new BMW 218d Gran Coupé
  (combined fuel consumption: 4.5 – 4.2 l/100 km; combined
  CO2 emissions: 118 – 109 g/km) is powered by the latest
  version of a 4-cylinder diesel engine. The BMW TwinPower Turbo
  Technology in the 2.0-litre power unit now includes a two-stage
  turbocharging system as well as a likewise further developed common
  rail direct injection featuring solenoid valve injectors. The new
  engine delivers its maximum torque of 350 Nm between 1,750 and 2,500
  rpm, reaching a maximum output of 110 kW/150 hp at 4,000 rpm. The new
  BMW 218d Gran Coupé accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 8.6 seconds
  with the standard 6-speed manual transmission and in 8.5 seconds with
  the optional 8-speed Steptronic transmission.</p>
<p>The second diesel engine available for the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé
  delivers a maximum output of 140 kW/190 hp and a maximum torque of 400
  Nm. In the new BMW 220d xDrive Gran Coupé (combined fuel consumption:
  4.9 – 4.5 l/100 km; combined CO2 emissions: 129 – 119 g/km)
  it is now combined with intelligent all-wheel drive and an 8-speed
  Steptronic transmission. This enables the new model variant to
  accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds. Thanks to
  state-of-the-art exhaust gas treatment including SCR catalytic
  converter with AdBlue injection, both new models meet the Euro 6d
  emissions standard.</p>
<p>
  <strong>Green light for BMW eDrive Zone: locally emissions-free travel
    in the city on an automated basis. <br clear="all" /></strong>Innovative technology from the fields of
  electrification and digitalisation is combined in the new BMW eDrive
  Zone function available in the premium car manufacturer’s plug-in
  hybrid models. This globally unique digital service offers additional
  options for making optimum use of the capabilities of emissions-free
  driving. The BMW eDrive Zone function triggers an automatic switch to
  purely electric operating mode as soon as the vehicle enters selected
  urban areas such as low-emission zones.</p>
<p>BMW eDrive Zone will be a standard feature of all plug-in hybrid
  models of the BMW 3 Series, BMW 5 Series and BMW 7 Series as well as
  the BMW X5. The digital service uses geo-fencing technology via GPS to
  identify designated areas. eDrive zones of this kind are currently
  designated in some 80 cities throughout Europe. When the service is
  activated, each available eDrive Zone on the navigation map is
  graphically highlighted in the Control Display: a message appears to
  inform the driver that the vehicle will automatically switch to
  electric driving mode as soon as it enters an eDrive Zone.</p>
<p>From summer 2020, the above-mentioned plug-in hybrid models will also
  be fitted with an integrated drive-ready sound for electric power as
  standard. This means that both starting and stopping the electric
  drive will be accompanied by a distinctive acoustic signal. In
  addition there has been an expansion of the range of preconditioning
  functions, which is also a standard feature. Depending on the
  equipment fitted, more functions will be available that can be
  activated remotely by smartphone, in addition to interior cooling and
  heating. In future it will also be possible to activate the seat
  climate control before the start of a journey, for example. In the
  same way it will be possible to include the seat, steering wheel,
  exterior mirror and rear window heating systems in the preconditioning
  for heating the interior, as well as heating of the cameras for the
  driver assistance systems.</p>
<p>
  <strong>BMW 3 Series Sedan and BMW 3 Series Touring now fitted with
    BMW Operating System 7 as standard. <br clear="all" /></strong>In
  the new BMW 3 Series, the latest generation of the display and control
  system will be a standard feature as of summer 2020. Previously only
  used in conjunction with BMW Live Cockpit Professional, BMW Operating
  System 7 offers extensive individualisation and personalisation of the
  content shown on the Control Display. The standard BMW Live Cockpit
  now also includes a redesigned instrument cluster with a 5.1-inch
  digital display at its centre. BMW Live Cockpit Plus, like BMW Live
  Cockpit Professional, also includes the BMW Intelligent Personal
  Assistant. This digital companion enables intuitive operation of
  numerous vehicle functions via voice control (“Hey, BMW”). In the BMW
  1 Series and BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé, BMW Operating System 7 will also
  be part of the optional BMW Live Cockpit Plus from July 2020.</p>
<p>The M sports seats are new to the range of optional extras for the
  new BMW 3 Series Sedan and the new BMW 3 Series Touring. They feature
  excellent lateral support, a wide range of adjustment options and
  headrests with embossed M logo. The M sports seats for driver and
  front passenger are available in conjunction with the Model M Sport
  equipment line as well as for the BMW M automobiles of the new BMW 3
  Series. The choice of exterior colours for the new BMW 3 Series is
  supplemented by the variant Phytonic Blue metallic.</p>
<p>
  <strong>Increased comfort and safety: Driving Assistant Professional
    with additional functions. <br clear="all" /></strong>The optional
  Driving Assistant Professional is a particularly comprehensive
  collection of driver assistance systems designed to optimise comfort
  and safety: it is being used by BMW to pave the way to automated
  driving in numerous current models. The focus is on the steering and
  lane guidance assistant, which will be enhanced with additional
  functions from summer 2020 in the BMW 3 Series, BMW 5 Series, BMW 6
  Series and BMW 8 Series, in the BMW X5, BMW X6 and BMW X7, and in all
  variants of the BMW M5 and BMW M8.</p>
<p>The new Active Navigation Guidance indicates lane changes that are
  necessary in order to continue driving along the selected route when
  destination guidance is active. The driver can then carry out this
  operation conveniently with the aid of the lane change assistant.
  Emergency Lane Assistant is another new function: this automatically
  guides the vehicle to the ideal edge of its lane in congested
  situations on motorways. In addition, Active Cruise Control with Stop
  & Go function will in future include an adaptive distance control
  that adapts to the respective traffic situation and environmental conditions.</p>
<p>Further progress is also being made in the intelligent control of the
  Speed Limit Info system with No Passing Indicator. In all model
  variants of the BMW 1 Series, BMW 3 Series, BMW 5 Series, BMW 6
  Series, BMW 7 Series and BMW 8 Series, the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé,
  the BMW Z4, the BMW X5, the BMW X6 and the BMW X7 as well as the BMW
  M5, the BMW M8, the BMW X5 M and the BMW X6 M, road sign detection
  will in future additionally take into account speed limits that are
  restricted in time and only apply on certain days of the week. On days
  other, the speed limit derived from the navigation data is displayed.</p>
<p>
  <strong>Optimised smartphone integration: Android Auto can now also be
    used in the vehicle in addition to Apple CarPlay. <br clear="all" /></strong>Depending on the model series, either standard
  or optional smartphone integration will enable use not just of Apple
  CarPlay but also of the digital services provided by Android Auto in
  numerous current BMW models as of summer 2020. This means that owners
  of a smartphone with the Android operating system can now access their
  familiar smartphone apps in the vehicle, just like users of an Apple
  iPhone. These include the digital voice assistant Google Assistant,
  the map service Google Maps, music streaming services such as Spotify
  and Amazon Music, and the messaging service WhatsApp.</p>
<p>The systems are integrated directly in the vehicle's display and
  control system via a wireless LAN connection between the respective
  smartphone and the vehicle. Here, the driver can view all the
  important information from the apps on the Control Display and also
  navigation directions in the instrument cluster and the optional
  Head-Up Display.</p>

<p>
  <strong>BMW 7 Series and BMW 8 Series with optimised Integral Active
    Steering. <br clear="all" /></strong>Sporty flair and ride comfort
  in the BMW 7 Series luxury sedans and the luxury sports cars of the
  BMW 8 Series benefit from Integral Active Steering. The optional
  suspension system combines a variable rack and pinion ratio on the
  front axle with selective co-steering of the rear wheels. Even at
  particularly low speeds of less than 3 km/h, the rear wheels are now
  countersteered. This gives the models of the BMW 7 Series and BMW 8
  Series additional manoeuvrability when moving slowly in and out of
  parking spaces or passing through narrow gaps.</p>
<p>In addition, the BMW 7 Series will be available from July 2020 in the
  new exterior paint finish Phytonic Blue metallic and the BMW
  Individual paint finish Frozen Bluestone metallic. A fresh touch of
  luxury ambience is added to the interior with the BMW Individual
  leather steering wheel as well as the new version of the BMW
  Individual Merino full leather trim in the colour combination Smoke
  White/Night Blue/Black.</p>
<p>
  <strong>Extended Business Package for the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer
    and the BMW 2 Series Gran Tourer, new body finishes for the BMW i3
    and numerous other models<br clear="all" /></strong>The Business
  Package available for the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer and the BMW 2
  Series Gran Tourer provides enhanced comfort and driving pleasure in
  city traffic as well as on lengthier trips. From July 2020 onwards it
  also includes Real Time Traffic Information. Another new addition to
  the range is the body finish in Cashmere Silver metallic, which is
  also available for the BMW X1. The BMW 2 Series Gran Tourer will also
  offered in Phytonic Blue metallic and Misano Blue metallic in future.</p>
<p>New body finishes are available for numerous other models, too.
  Phytonic Blue metallic and Sunset Orange metallic versions of the BMW
  1 Series and the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé will be on offer from July
  2020. The body finish Phytonic Blue metallic will also be available
  for the BMW X5, BMW X6 and BMW X7 as of August 2020. What is more, the
  BMW X5 and BMW X6 can be fitted with the new Carbon Fibre interior
  trim finishers and M Carbon exterior mirror caps in conjunction with
  the M sports package.</p>
<p>The purely electrically powered models BMW i3 (combined fuel
  consumption: 0.0 l/100 km; combined power consumption: 13.1 kWh/100
  km; combined CO2 emissions: 0 g/km) and BMW i3s (combined
  fuel consumption: 0.0 l/100 km; combined power consumption:
  14.6 – 14.0 kWh/100 km; combined CO2 emissions: 0 g/km)
  will be available from summer 2020 in the new body finish Blue Ridge
  Mountain with accentuations in Frozen Grey metallic.</p>
<p>Meanwhile new BMW Individual body finishes are available for the
  model variants of the high-performance sports car BMW M8. For the BMW
  M8 Series Coupé (combined fuel consumption: 10.6 l/100 km; combined
  CO2 emissions: 242 g/km*) and the BMW M8 Convertible
  (combined fuel consumption: 10.8 l/100 km; combined CO2
  emissions: 246 g/km), the Ametrin metallic variant is now newly
  available. For both models and for the BMW M8 Gran Coupé (combined
  fuel consumption: 10.7 l/100 km; combined CO2 emissions:
  244 g/km), the versions Bluestone metallic, Frozen Brands Hatch Grey
  metallic and Frozen Motegi Red metallic are likewise available.</p>

  <strong>Munich.</strong> From November the third generation of the BMW
  X6 (combined fuel consumption: 10.7-6.1 l/100 km; combined
  CO2 emissions: 243–172 g/km*) will enrich the segment of
  Sports Activity Coupés (SAC) with its extroverted looks, outstanding
  performance and provocative design. Only a few months later, the new
  BMW X5 M (fuel consumption combined: 13.0-12.8 l/100 km; combined
  CO2 emissions: 296-291 g/km*) and the new BMW X6 M
  (combined fuel consumption: 12.7-12.5 l/100 km; combined
  CO2 emissions: 289–284 g/km*) will set new standards in the
  high performance SAV/SAC segment from spring 2020. Powered by potent
  4.4 litre V8 petrol engines with BMW M TwinPower Turbo Technology and
  441 kW/600 hp and 460 kW/625 hp in the respective Competition
  variants, the new M models stand for thrilling driving dynamics. A
  wide range of M Performance Parts for enhancing the sporty character
  and customising the visual appeal even further will be available for
  this trio of luxurious power models as well as for the BMW X7 (fuel
  consumption combined: 11.1-6.5 l/100 km; combined CO2
  emissions: 252–171 g/km*).</p>
<p>These high-grade accessories developed by BMW M GmbH, are the result
  of extensive motorsport expertise gained on the world’s racetracks.
  All components are perfectly matched to the specific characters of the
  BMW X6, BMW X7 as well as BMW X6 M and BMW X5 M. With these parts
  customers can further enhance the visual appeal and sporty
  characteristics of their car and customise it according to their
  personal tastes. The M Performance Parts do not only affect the car’s
  looks of course. They also meet the highest functional requirements
  with regard to lightweight construction and aerodynamics.</p>
<p>
  <strong>Exterior: Carbon fibre for striking looks and improved aerodynamics.</strong>
  <br />The athletic character of the BMW X6 and X6 M as well as BMW X5
  M can be impressively enhanced with a large number of M Performance
  Exterior Carbon Fibre components. Manufactured by hand and sealed with
  a clear finish, the components are given a high-gloss polish for an
  impressive depth effect. The honeycomb structure, which is so
  characteristic for this material, makes these carbon-fibre reinforced
  plastic components so thrilling to look at. The carbon fibre M
  Performance ornamental grille for the radiator grille and the carbon
  fibre M Performance side sill inserts as well as the carbon fibre rear
  diffuser, which will be available shortly afterwards, give the car
  purebred racing flair. The diffuser also optimises the air stream at
  the rear of the car together with the M Performance high-gloss black
  rear fins and the M Performance high-gloss black roof edge spoiler for
  the BMW X5 M. These parts also positively affect directional stability
  and straight-running capability.</p>
<p>M Performance Frozen Black Wrapping is another visual highlight for
  the BMW X6. This consists of a matt black and grey strip with M
  Performance inscription, which stretches along the side of the car and
  effectively emphasises the design features of the SAC. The perfectly
  matching front high-gloss black wrapping upgrades the front of the BMW
  X6 while the high-gloss black model inscription enhances the rear
  looks of the BMW X7. The M Performance carbon fibre exterior mirror
  caps add another stylish and sporty touch to the striking looks of the
  BMW X7.</p>
<p>
  <strong>Sports brake system and wheel sets for improved handling.</strong>
  <br />The M Performance brake system installed in the BMW X5 M and BMW
  X6 M as standard is optionally available for the BMW X6. Thanks to its
  larger, inner-vented and perforated lightweight construction brake
  discs, it offers further improved braking response, optimised
  deceleration even under extreme conditions as well as maximum
  resilience. The brake calipers finished in red are also a visual
  highlight which stand out especially in combination with open wheel
  designs, For all four models a number of these are available in sizes
  ranging up to 22 inches for summer wheel sets and up to 21 inches for
  winter wheel sets.</p>
<p>The 22 inch M Performance light alloy wheel Star Spoke Styling 749 M,
  available in either burnished Jet Black and matt black for the BMW X6
  for example, combines physical lightness with extraordinary design and
  sporty performance. Thanks to a special manufacturing process, the
  wheel weighs approximately one kilogram less than a comparable cast
  wheel. This optimises steering behaviour and improves driving dynamics
  overall. The weight-optimised 22 inch M Performance matt/burnished Jet
  Black forged wheel Y-Spoke Styling 785 M for the BMW X7 in extravagant
  bicolor look also emphasises the luxurious character of the vehicle.
  The M Performance light alloy wheel Double Spoke Styling 809 M with
  mixed tyres (front: 295/35 ZR21 107Y XL; rear: 315/30 ZR22 107Y XL)
  for BMW X5 M, BMW X6 M and its Competition models in matt Jet Black
  with colour M Performance print on the other hand radiate unfiltered
  motorsport ambience.</p>
<p>
  <strong>High performance atmosphere in the luxurious interior.</strong>
  <br />The already striking motorsport character of the BMW X5 M and
  BMW X6 M and the respective Competition models can be enhanced even
  further. With the M Performance steering wheel the driver has a
  perfect grip on the action even under dynamic driving conditions. This
  is due to the extremely high-grip alcantara handling area with large
  thumbrests and special underlining for excellent stability and a
  direct steering feel. In addition to standard details such as the red
  centre marking and the silver-grey, hand-sewn cross-stitch, the
  M Performance steering wheel is also available with M Performance
  steering wheel trim in carbon fibre with M Performance inscription and
  alcantara insert. To match this, the shift paddles can also be
  selected in an M Performance finish featuring carbon fabric instead of
  the standard chrome surface. For example there are the M Performance
  floor mats with M Performance inscription, a pennant in the hallmark M
  colours and a surround in leather look including decorative seam in
  contrasting colours. A very stylish motorsport-inspired extra for the
  BMW X6 and BMW X7, which is standard in the BMW X5 M and BMW X6 M, are
  the optionally available set of stainless steel pedal rests and the
  stainless steel footrest.</p>
<p>
  <strong>Experience the M Performance spirit even when the car is stationary.</strong>
  <br />The four BMW X models radiate the thrill of motorsport and of M
  Performance in particular even at a standstill. For example the M
  Performance slide set for the BMW LED door projectors is a very
  eye-catching option. When the doors are opened, it projects the BMW M
  logo or other M Performance motifs onto the asphalt. The M Performance
  key holder made of high-quality alcantara with carbon fibre insert
  makes the look and feel of the the M performance idea come alive.
  Thanks to internal hex screw in M Light Blue, the car key is firmly
  connected to the holder and therefore effectively protected from being
  scratched or damaged. The M Performance tyre bags made of high-quality
  and resilient plastic protect wheels sized up to 22 inches. They not
  only make storing and transporting the wheels a clean and safe affair,
  but also bring a racing feel to your garage thanks to their
  distinctive M Performance design. And each bag is clearly marked so
  allocating tyres is easy.</p><div class="co2emission"><div class="co2emission-headline">CO2 EMISSIONS & CONSUMPTION.</div><div class="co2emission-text"><p>BMW X5 M: Fuel consumption combined: 13.0 -12.8 l/100 km; CO2
