  <strong>Munich.</strong>
  <span>The BMW M Division has developed an exclusive special edition of
    the world’s most successful high-performance business sedan, setting
    yet another highlight in the current BMW M5 model range. With power
    output increased to 441 kW/600 hp and a maximum torque of 700 Newton
    metres, the BMW M5 “Competition Edition” ranks among the most
    powerful automobiles in the model history of the BMW brand
  </span>(combined fuel consumption: 9.9 l/100 km; combined CO2
  emissions: 231 g/km)*<span>. The BMW M5 “Competition Edition”, which
    comes as standard with an M dual clutch transmission featuring
    Drivelogic, sprints from 0 to 100km/h in just 3.9 seconds. A
    distinctive personalised look, the standard Competition Package and
    a comprehensive range of optional features render the BMW M5
    “Competition Edition”, the production of which is limited to 200, an
    automobile of exceptionally high value.</span></p>
<p>
  <span>
    <span>
      <strong>More power and further enhanced handling characteristics.</strong>
      <br /></span></span>
  <span>The familiar 4.4‑litre, high-revving V8 engine featuring
    path-breaking BMW M TwinPower Turbo technology is the powerful heart
    of the BMW M5 “Competition Edition”. An increase in boost pressure
    as well as targeted modifications to the engine management raise the
    car’s performance vs. the production model by 29 kW/40 hp to 441
    kW/600 hp. At the same time, maximum torque has increased by 20
    Newton metres to 700 Newton metres. </span></p>
<p>
  <span>The increase in power output harmonises perfectly with the
    Competition Package, which is supplied as standard on the BMW M5
    “Competition Edition” and noticeably enhances the car’s handling
    characteristics even further. The Competition Package includes,
    inter alia, a lowering of the vehicle by 10 millimetres and a firmer
    setup of spring and damper systems and stabilizers. In conjunction
    with this modified setup, the specific control setting for the
    Active M differential fitted as standard on all BMW M5 models
    ensures further optimized traction. Furthermore, the steering system
    with an M specific Servotronic function comes with a more direct
    control map, providing the driver with more precise response and
    further enhancing the car’s agility in bends. In addition, the M
    Dynamic Mode of the stability control system DSC (Dynamic Stability
    Control) has been further aligned to sporty handling
    characteristics. As a result, the BMW M5 “Competition Edition”
    guarantees typical M driving dynamics at the highest level both in
    everyday traffic and on the racetrack, especially when combined with
    the optional M carbon-ceramic brake system. </span></p>
<p>
  <span>
    <span>
      <strong>Exclusive sporty and dynamic look.</strong>
      <br /></span></span>
  <span>The BMW M5 “Competition Edition” signalises its extraordinary
    potential even when at a standstill. The exclusive body colours –100
    vehicles in Carbon Black metallic and 100 in Mineral White metallic
    respectively – strongly emphasise the BMW M5’s sporty, elegant
    lines. And the 20-inch, forged and polished, double-spoke M light
    alloy wheels in a Jet Black finish and with mixed tyres
  (</span>265/35 ZR20 at the front, 295/30 ZR20 at the rear) underscore
  the car’s outstanding handling characteristics. M Performance parts in
  carbon such as the rear diffuser, the gurney on the boot lid and the
  mirror caps set further dynamic accents. The high gloss black kidney
  grilles and side gills bearing the lettering ”M5 Competition” add the
  finishing touches to the car's premium appearance.</p>
<p>
  <span>
    <span>
      <strong>High-quality ambience with sporty accents in the interior.</strong>
      <br /></span></span>
  <span>The interior also underscores the uniqueness of the BMW M5
    “Competition Edition”. For example, carbon interior trim strips
    bearing the logo “M5 Competition 1/200” indicate the model’s
    high-performance qualities and the fact that the BMW M5 “Competition
    Edition” is just one of the 200 that have been built. The
    sophisticated interior ambience is strongly characterised by the
    full leather trim Merino Black with contrast stitching in Opal White
    and floor mats in Anthracite with leather Merino Opal White
    bordering. Inside the BMW M5 “Competition Edition”, both driver and
    front passenger sit in M multifunctional seats, the comprehensive
    electric adjustment options of which guarantee a perfect balance
    between comfort and sporty lateral support. Here too, the white
    lettering “///M5” embroidered on the headrests emphasises the car’s
    exclusiveness. </span></p>
<p>Further equipment highlights round off the impressive appearance of
  the ultimate high-performance business sedan: These include the 1,200
  watt Bang & Olufsen High End Surround Sound System, BMW Head-Up
  Display, Comfort Access, Lane Departure Warning or the optional BMW
  Driving Assistant, heated seats at the front or the through-loading
  system. The BMW M5 “Competition Edition” is available from 129,500 Euros</p>

  vehicles so as to sharpen the brand core: Sheer Driving Pleasure.
  Meanwhile a look ahead to future developments is provided by
  eye-catching concept cars that reflect the essence of the brand's pure
  DNA. The public response to both is reflected in the result of this
  year's readers' vote organised by the magazine "Auto Bild
  Sportscars". In two rating categories, readers voted BMW Group
  models "2015 Sports Car of the Year": the "Serial
  Production Coupés" class was won by new BMW M4 GTS, while in the
  "Concept Cars" category, the BMW 3.0 CSL Homage was able to
  attract the majority of votes.</p>
<p>
  <strong>BMW M4 GTS continues its winning streak.</strong>
  <br />By winning the "Serial Production Coupés" category,
  the BMW M4 GTS has built on the success of the BMW M4 Coupé and the
  BMW 435i Coupé, which were voted Sports Car of the Year in 2014 and
  2013 respectively. The BMW M4 GTS underpins its sports car status with
  a lap time of 7:28 minutes on the legendary Nürburgring-Nordschleife.
  This performance is enabled by a three-way coilover suspension
  specially harmonised for the BMW M4 GTS, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2
  tyres in the sizes 265/35 R19 at front and 285/30 R20 at rear,
  intelligent lightweight construction with the use of aluminium, carbon
  fibre, composite materials and high-strength steels and a
  high-performance in-line 6-cylinder petrol engine with M TwinPower
  Turbo Technology. Due to the innovative water injection - used for the
  first time in a serial production vehicle - the engine delivers an
  output of 368 kW/500 hp and a torque of 600 Nm from a capacity of 3.0
  litres (combined fuel consumption: 8.5 l/100 km;
  CO2<span>‑</span>emissions combined: 199 g/km)*. This enables the
  BMW M4 GTS to accelerate in 3.8 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h, reaching a
  top speed of 305 km/h (cut off).</p>
<p>
  <strong>BMW 3.0 CSL Homage wins the "Concept Cars" category.</strong>
  <br />The victory of the BMW 3.0 CSL Homage was a premiere: it
  attracted the most votes in the "Concept Cars" category
  which was offered for the first time - and it won by a very clear
  margin. This concept study was presented at this year's Concorso
  d'Eleganza Villa d'Este as the BMW design team's tribute to the
  legendary BMW 3.0 CSL - the timeless, classic BMW coupé icon of the 1970s.</p>
<p>The BMW 3.0 CSL Homage translates the character of the original into
  the contemporary age, reinterpreting it in a new and exciting way.
  Cutting-edge materials were used to build this concept car, including
  carbon fibre (CFRP). The high-tech material is used extensively in the
  BMW 3.0 CSL Homage, moving the philosophy of lightweight construction
  forward to the current state of the art. As in the 1970s original, the
  lines of the BMW 3.0 CSL Homage express pure dynamic performance:
  striking air deflectors, powerful wheel arches and a prominent roof
  and rear spoiler frame an elongated body. The front air deflector
  serves to ventilate the engine compartment while the wings above the
  rear wheels ensure optimum air flow around the vehicle. Small camera
  rear mirrors further reduce aerodynamic drag. The large rear spoiler
  increases surface pressure on the powered rear axle, thereby improving
  power transmission. An Air Curtain and Air Breather guarantee optimum
  wheel arch ventilation and air extraction. The 21-inch light alloy
  wheels in matt and high-gloss Bi-Color finish add a particularly
  striking touch. Air deflection blades in the wheel rim gaps
  additionally optimise aerodynamics.</p>
<p>
  <strong>Further top placements for BMW models.</strong>
  <br />In addition to the category winners, there were other BMW models
  that gained podium positions. In the category "Serial Production
  Sedans", the BMW M5 "30 Years of the M5" finished
  second, as did the BMW X6 M in the category "Serial Production
  SUVs". The BMW M135i came third in the category "Serial
  Production Compact Cars".</p>
<p>The "Auto Bild Sports Cars of the Year" readers' vote was
  held this year for the 14th time. The title "Sports Car of the
  Year" is among the most important awards for sports-style
  vehicles in the automobile sector in Germany, and it is highly coveted
  among all vehicle manufacturers. There were 142 models to choose from
  for the readers' vote in 2015. Drawn from test and road reports of the
  last 12 months, the vehicles were classified in 18 categories – eight
  for serial production vehicles, eight for tuning vehicles and one
  category each for small-series vehicles and concept cars respectively.
  The awards were presented today at the Essen Motor Show Race Night.</p>

  <strong>Munich.</strong> BMW combines high performance with a
  time-honoured brand of driving pleasure and consummate everyday
  usability – that was the confirmation provided once again by the
  readers’ poll conducted by German motoring magazine “sport auto”. Five
  class wins and a second place represented an outstanding return for
  the BMW Group’s brands in the “sport auto Award 2014”. The BMW M3
  Sedan and BMW M4 Coupe were among the biggest voter favourites, with
  the two BMW M Division models asserting their superiority in the
  classes for “Saloons/Estates up to €100,000” and “Coupés up to
  €100,000” respectively. The winners in the “Coupés up to €50,000” and
  “Compact Cars” categories also carry an “M” in their model designation
  – the BMW M235i Coupe and BMW M135i. Elsewhere in the competition, the
  BMW 335i held sway in the “Saloons/Estates up to €50,000” class,
  reprising its success from the previous year in impressive style. And
  second place for the BMW M550d xDrive in the “Diesel Cars” class
  highlights the BMW Group’s leading status across all classes as a
  maker of sporting cars boasting exceptional efficiency.</p>

<p>
  <strong>BMW M3 and BMW M4 reinforce their elite status.</strong>
  <br />From the moment they went on sale, the BMW M3 (37.1 percent of
  the vote) and BMW M4 (18.5 percent) have put forward a persuasive case
  for themselves – and just a few months after their launch both were
  voted top of their class by respondents in the “sport auto Award 2014”
  readers’ survey. The result underlines in resounding fashion the
  stand-out status of the two new models. Like its predecessors, the
  fifth-generation BMW M3 encapsulates the combination of motor sport
  genes and unrestricted everyday usability within an emotionally rich
  overall concept. The BMW M3 Sedan and BMW M4 Coupe embody a new take
  on the high-performance sports car theme and uphold the commitment to
  implementing the BMW M philosophy espoused by their predecessors. The
  BMW M3 Sedan and BMW M4 Coupe (fuel consumption combined for both
  models: 8.8 l/100 km [32.1 mpg imp]; CO2 emissions combined:
  204 g/km)* are powered by a newly developed six-cylinder in-line
  engine. The high-revving unit with M TwinPower Turbo technology offers
  maximum output of 317 kW/431 hp. Peak torque of 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) is
  available across a broad rev band and exceeds the maximum offered by
  the previous BMW M3 by almost 40 percent. A rigorously applied
  lightweight design concept has brought about a weight reduction of
  around 80 kilograms, giving the BMW M4 Coupe a DIN kerb weight of
  1,497 kilograms and ensuring top-class driving dynamics and excellent
  efficiency. Fuel consumption and emissions, meanwhile, are down by 25
  percent. The BMW M3 Sedan and BMW M4 Coupe need just 4.1 seconds to
  sprint from 0 – 100 km/h (62 mph) – when fitted with the optional
  seven-speed M Double Clutch Transmission – and also catch the eye as
  strong performers out on the track.</p>
<p>
  <strong>A good showing for M Performance Automobiles</strong>
  <br />The BMW M235i Coupe (fuel consumption combined: 8.1 l/100 km
  [34.9 mpg imp]; CO2 emissions combined: 189 g/km)* with 240 kW/326 hp
  – likewise launched this year – also impressed the readers. A 36.5
  percent share of the vote and first place in the category for coupés
  up to €50,000 represented a dream start for the new model series. The
  BMW M135i rounded off an excellent showing by the M Performance
  Automobiles with victory in the “Compact Cars” class (27.1 percent of
  the votes). Like the BMW M235i, the BMW M135i (fuel consumption
  combined: 8.0 l/100 km [35.3 mpg imp]; CO2 emissions combined: 188
  g/km)* is also powered by a six-cylinder engine with M TwinPower Turbo
  technology that displays instantaneous responses, an exceptional
  thirst for revs and outstanding refinement.</p>
<p>The BMW 335i staged a repeat of its success from last year in the
  class for saloons/estates up to €50,000. This year 31.7 percent of
  readers voted the 335i top of the pile, allowing it to continue the
  tradition established by its predecessor – which was voted the most
  sporting car in its class three years in succession.</p>
<p>The “sport auto Award” is presented annually by German motoring
  magazine “sport auto”. It is one of the leading German awards for
  sporting cars and is highly coveted by manufacturers. 2014 marked the
  34th year that the magazine’s readers have been called on to vote,
  with 234 models nominated in 15 series-production categories and 10
  tuning classes. A total of 15,551 readers took part in the poll (which
  ran from 17 April to 18 July) via survey postcard, online survey or
  one of the “sport auto” digital channels.</p>

  CO2 emission values and the electric power consumption of new
  passenger cars is included in the following guideline: “Leitfaden über
  Kraftstoffverbrauch, die CO2 emissions und den Stromverbrauch neuer

<p>
<p>
<p>Further information on official fuel consumption figures, specific
  CO2 emission values and the electric power consumption of new
  passenger cars is included in the following guideline: “Leitfaden über
  Kraftstoffverbrauch, die CO2 emissions und den Stromverbrauch neuer
  Personenkraftwagen” (Guideline for fuel consumption, CO2 emissions and
  electric power consumption of new passenger cars), which can be

  BMW has come up with an exclusive, special model version of the
  current, fifth-generation model boasting performance that sets it
  apart from its stablemates. The BMW M5 “30 Jahre M5” (30 years of the
  M5) will be produced in a limited run of 300 examples vehicles
  worldwide. Developing 441 kW/600 hp and peak torque of 700 Nm

  only the most powerful BMW M5 ever to emerge from series production
  under the auspices of BMW M GmbH, but also the most powerful car in
  the history of the brand. The “30 Jahre M5” sprints from 0-100 km/h
