Fully electric, compact and almost silent, MINI’s latest model cruises through Sydney’s iconic backdrops – from the Harbour Bridge and Opera House to Bondi Beach.</pp:summary>

Munich/Sydney. Australia is known not only for its
vast open spaces, venomous snakes, kangaroos and Uluru, but also for
major metropolitan centres like Melbourne and Sydney, both of which
rank among the world’s leading cities. While Melbourne proudly shows
off its modern edge, Sydney manages to embrace contemporary trends
without losing sight of its past. British influences, in particular,
are ever-present in the city centre of the 5.5‑million-strong
metropolis – the perfect backdrop for an extended drive in the MINI
Aceman SE.

Located on Australia’s east coast, Sydney is renowned for its
exceptional quality of life, the iconic Harbour Bridge with views of
the uniquely designed Sydney Opera House, and the gleaming white sands
of Bondi Beach.

At just under 4.10 metres long, the MINI Aceman SE stands out among
historic sandstone buildings and modern skyscrapers alike. That’s not
only due to its striking Blazing Blue paintwork, but also because it
has only been on sale in Australia since last year. It neatly
complements the local MINI line-up alongside the MINI Cooper and MINI Countryman.

Cruising through the vibrant Darlinghurst neighbourhood, past Hyde
Park and the historic barracks, and on towards The Rocks, it becomes
clear just how deeply rooted British heritage still is in Sydney. The
drive continues past the lush Royal Botanic Garden towards the Sydney
Opera House – a familiar sight to many from New Year’s Eve broadcasts
around the world. At midnight local time, the shell-shaped landmark
sends images of the Harbour Bridge and the year’s first celebrations
across the globe.

Sydney Harbour is lively and far more rugged than those of many other
global cities. While countless ferries depart from Warrane Cove,
another cruise ship is docking at The Squire’s Landing, bringing a
fresh wave of visitors into the city. Each day, hundreds of passengers
disembark from the mostly white giants of the sea and head into hotels
to spend a few more days enjoying Sydney before continuing on to New
Zealand or returning to Singapore.

Almost silently, the 160 kW / 218 hp MINI Aceman SE glides through
Barangaroo and into the energetic shopping precinct around Market,
Bathurst and Kent Streets, with views of the Queen Victoria Building
and the charming Town Hall. The city’s many landmarks don’t just pass
by outside – they’re also announced inside the car via the circular
24‑centimetre central display.

The compact crossover’s steering is light, impressively direct, and
its low centre of gravity makes quick changes of direction genuinely
fun. With a maximum torque of 330 Nm available from standstill, the
MINI Aceman slots effortlessly into any gap in traffic. Heads turn
outside cafés and boutiques not only because of the appealing design
and near-silent progress, but also because this kind of car stands out
in Sydney.

As Australia’s largest city, Sydney is dominated by big Utes and
ruggedized SUVs fitted with winches, chunky tyres, radio antennas and
extra lights – essential gear for the unforgiving outback. In the
city, however, things are very different. Here, the front-wheel-drive
layout, low centre of gravity and firm overall setup shine, delivering
plenty of driving enjoyment.

The battery pack mounted in the floor offers a total range of up to
405 kilometres (WLTP). With plans to head out of Sydney into the
surrounding region the next day, a full charge is on the agenda.
Australia – even in its largest cities – can’t match Europe when it
comes to charging infrastructure. Most EV owners charge at home, so
there are only a handful of fast chargers available in car parks or at
selected service stations.

A short charging stop is made more pleasant with a snack and an
espresso before heading south again on the Warringah Freeway (M1)
towards the Harbour Bridge. Passing through the ever-busy Chinatown
district, the route continues over rougher roads towards the eastern
side of the city via Oxford Street, Bondi Junction and Bondi, ending
at one of the world’s most famous beaches: Bondi Beach – equally
popular with locals and visitors from all over the globe.

City cruising has a positive effect on both efficiency and range,
meaning the Aceman, with its 49.2 kWh usable battery capacity, can
comfortably cover close to 400 kilometres before the next charge.
Anyone planning a longer road trip along Australia’s east coast should
not only keep an eye on the many speed cameras, but also be mindful of
the sparse fast

charging network. At least heading north towards the Gold Coast,
there’s little temptation to speed anyway – despite the country’s vast
size and low population density, the limit is firmly set at 110 km/h.

Customers Down Under appreciate the MINI Aceman not just for its
design and electric drive. For many, it’s the generous space and
everyday practicality that matter most. The latest MINI offers more
room than the MINI Cooper, without stepping into MINI Countryman
territory in terms of size. And practical as the MINI Aceman SE may
be, style certainly isn’t neglected. Comfortable seats with massage
function, a head-up display and voice control all come as part of the
package. Projectors, for example, cast distinctive lighting graphics
in various colours onto the textile dashboard, with colours and
ambient lighting changing depending on the selected driving mode. It’s
an especially striking sight when taking in evening views of the
Harbour Bridge and the Opera House.

Munich / Tokyo. The Japan Mobility Show 2025 becomes
the stage for the latest milestone in the long-standing collaboration
between MINI and British designer Paul Smith. It will be unveiled as
part of the BMW Group Keynote on 29 October 2025 at 09:55 (JST) at the
BMW Group stand, based in the West Exhibition Hall of the show.

MINI and Paul Smith: A creative success story.

The MINI Paul Smith Edition is a new chapter in the success story of
the two British brands. The long-lasting relationship began in 1998,
when the designer wrapped a Classic Mini Cooper in his trademark
visual design. To mark the 40th anniversary of the Classic Mini in
1999, the designer lent his characteristic Paul Smith "Signature
Stripe" to a one-off model. After two further one-offs - the MINI
Strip in 2021 and the MINI Recharged by Paul Smith in 2022 - Paul
Smith's design language returns to MINI.

MINI model portfolio.

As part of the BMW Group stand at the Japan Mobility Show, MINI is
presenting the diverse range of its current product portfolio. The
MINI Cooper family is represented by showcasing the MINI Cooper SE,
which combines heritage, technology and driving pleasure. Whilst
providing a fully electric go-kart feeling via the 218 hp electric
powertrain. Also present will be the MINI Cooper 5-door S, which
combines compact dimensions and agility whilst showcasing increased
practicality when compared to its 3-door siblings. A MINI Cooper
Convertible will also be on show, which presents open-air driving in
the spirit of its ‘Always Open’ philosophy: agile, spontaneous and
full of driving pleasure.Launched earlier this year, the MINI John
Cooper Works Aceman outlines its sporty all-electric useable
performance from the John Cooper Works sub-brand. The latest model in
the MINI family presents itself as a versatile companion and not only
demonstrates MINIs typical "Clever Use of Space" - but also
brings a powerful driving experience to the road as a
performance-enhanced version thanks to 258 hp produced from the 54.2
kWh electric battery. Finally, the MINI Countryman S ALL 4 will also
be present on the BMW Group stand at the Japan Mobility Show: as the
largest of the MINI family, the car offers generous space and fits in
perfectly for those looking for longer adventures and spontaneous exploring.

Japan Mobility Show.

The Japan Mobility Show is regarded as one of the most important
international platforms for pioneering mobility concepts. From October
29 to November 9, over 130 exhibitors will be presenting their
innovations to visitors and press at the Tokyo Big Sight exhibition
centre - making the Japanese capital the centre for visions of
tomorrow's mobility.

Munich. Overall excellent performance in crash
protection and well equipped with state-of-the-art crash avoidance
technology – these are the requirements for a 5-star rating in the
Euro NCAP (European New Car Assessment Programme). The MINI Cooper
3-door and the MINI Aceman have been awarded this top rating by the
European Consumer Protection Institute for their safety in all engine
versions. The top rating was also achieved through the extensive
standard equipment with safety-related driving assistance systems.

Fourth NCAP top rating for the current MINI
family.
The top ratings for the MINI Cooper and MINI
Aceman are not the first awards for the current MINI family: the all-electric
MINI Cooper and MINI
Countryman have also already been awarded five stars for their
high level of safety.
The two latest top marks in the Euro NCAP
rating once again underline the brand’s commitment producing vehicles
that are not only extremely attractive but also particularly safe.

Top rating in four safety categories.
The MINI Cooper three-door achieves a safety compliance rating
of 83 % in the occupant protection category and 82 %
in child safety. With a rating of 81 % for pedestrian
protection and 77 % for safety
assistants, the model is certified as having a high level of
safety overall – especially in the small car segment.
The MINI
Aceman achieved very strong results, scoring 83 % for occupant
protection and 87 % for child safety, and
also scored well for pedestrian protection (77 %) and
safety assistants (79 %).

All model variants impress in terms of safety.
The 5-star Euro NCAP rating applies to all engine variants of
each model: the three-door MINI Cooper C, MINI Cooper S and MINI John
Cooper Works, as well as the MINI Aceman in the MINI Aceman E, MINI
Aceman SE and MINI John Cooper Works Aceman variants, all performed
well in passive and active safety tests.

Euro NCAP: Europe-wide benchmark for safety.
Euro NCAP is an initiative by automotive associations and
government agencies to assess the safety of new vehicles. The aim is
to improve the protection of occupants and other road users. The
ratings awarded by the Euro NCAP testing institute are a Europe-wide
benchmark for accident safety and are continuously being tightened.

Munich. At the IAA Mobility in Munich from 9 to 14
September, MINI will transform the city into its own stage at two
well-known locations: an impressive Open Space at Max-Joseph-Platz,
and a central brand appearance in the MINI Pavillion at Lenbachplatz,
presenting MINI’s brand DNA at the world's largest mobility event. The
highlight is the world premiere of two exclusive JCW showcars, created
as part of an exciting collaboration.

MINI Pavillion: MINI unveils exclusive JCW
showcars.
MINI's racing background is not only evident
from its recent success at the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring:
motorsport has been part of the brand's essence from the very
beginning. As part of the IAA, two unique MINI John Cooper Works
showcars are celebrating their world premiere, the result of an
inspiring collaboration.
For the duration of the IAA, the MINI
Pavillion puts the models centre stage in a spectacular display. The
showcars, which combine the brand's unmistakable racing enthusiasm
with the spirit of a world-famous lifestyle brand, can be admired at
Lenbachplatz. For this, the MINI Pavillion will be extensively
remodeled, and dedicated entirely to the John Cooper Works brand.

MINI at Open Space: Heritage and humour at
Max-Joseph-Platz.
A metropolis within a metropolis: With
its appearance at the Open Space, MINI brings the vibrant city centre
of London to the noble Max-Joseph-Platz in Munich's old town. An
elaborately staged backdrop recreates the heart of the city and
presents the brand’s British identity, including its humour in many details.

With the Bayerische Staatsoper and the Residenztheater in the
background, the focus of Open Space is the all-electric models of the
new MINI family, the high-performance MINI John Cooper Works Electric,
MINI Service and MINI Experience Modes.
With the MINI John
Cooper Works Electric, MINI Aceman SE and MINI Countryman SE ALL 4,
visitors will be able to experience three all-electric MINI models up
close. Max-Joseph-Platz is also the starting point for test drives in
cooperation with SIXT: true to the motto "Only MINI Can Do",
visitors can take all-electric MINIs from the new MINI family out onto
the city's streets from here.

MINI at the IAA: Community Day unites fans of the
brand.
Fans of MINI can also become part of the IAA
Mobility this year: at the "Community Day" on 13 September,
MINI clubs will come together for a drive with their personal MINIs.
Starting at Gut Kaltenbrunn on Lake Tegernsee, the route leads through
Munich and ends with an inspiring get-together with music, BBQ and
dialogue with the community in the MINI Pavillion.

The IAA: a platform for experts and enthusiasts.
As one of the largest and most important international
automotive trade fairs, the International Motor Show (IAA) offers
manufacturers, journalists and other enthusiasts a platform for
dialogue on the topics of mobility, innovation and technology every
two years. The IAA Mobility 2025 is organised under the slogan
"It's All About Mobility". As part of the event, innovations
and concepts will be presented in four formats - at the IAA Summit,
the IAA Conference, the IAA Open Space and the IAA Experience - as
well as at MINI in the MINI Pavillion at Lenbachplatz. Over half a
million visitors were counted at the last IAA 2023 in Munich.

Despite its everyday practicality, dynamics and driving fun are not neglected: MINI's first crossover is an adventurous companion - even far beyond the outskirts of the city.</pp:summary>

Nice. A lot of space in a small area and impressive
driving pleasure with high everyday efficiency - these do not have to
be contradictory: The MINI Aceman E creates these connections in a
unique way. The all-electric crossover is the latest MINI model and,
in terms of its proportions, occupies its very own place between the
MINI Cooper and the MINI Countryman. Its drive and urban character
make the Aceman an unmistakable member of the MINI family.

Compact crossover with room for everyone and everything.
With a length of just over four metres, the manoeuvrable MINI
Aceman is ideal for city traffic. Thanks to the typical MINI design
principle of ‘Clever Use of Space’, the interior offers comfortable
space for up to five people. The versatile luggage compartment with a
load volume of 300 litres can be easily extended to up to 1,005
litres, so that shopping and sports equipment can be stowed away just
as easily as luggage and more. A practical everyday companion - with
space for everything and everyone.

The design language of the body of the MINI Aceman is characterised
by compact proportions and clear lines and edges. The brand-typical
front end has been rethought for this model: the octagonal radiator
grille with its extended surround extends into the lower section of
the front apron. The striking headlights complement the expressive
appearance and create a high recognition value. The strikingly angular
profile of the MINI Aceman from the front creates a sporty presence.
Its strikingly flared wheels with 18-inch Slide 2-tone rims and the
standard roof rails emphasise the adventurous spirit of the crossover
even beyond the city limits.

Electrifying appearance with 184 all-electric horsepowers.
Agility and driving pleasure are in the DNA of the MINI brand.
This also applies to the MINI Aceman E: with the 184 hp (135 kW)
electric motor, the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.9 seconds and
a top speed of 160 km/h (electricity consumption combined: 14,7 – 14,1
kWh/100 km according to WLTP; CO2 emissions combined: 0 g/km;
CO2-class: A; Range in km according to WLTP: 298 - 309). The crossover
responds powerfully when the accelerator pedal is pressed: the power
output of the electric drive has been tuned for sporty driving
behaviour.
The Aceman also remains in the tradition of the MINI
family when it comes to driving dynamics: the sporty chassis creates a
real go-kart feeling. Direct steering and precise brakes ensure
driving fun with full vehicle control.

Longer adventures thanks to range and fast charging.
Thanks to its range of 309 kilometres determined in the WLTP
test cycle, the MINI Aceman E is not only the perfect companion in
urban environments: with the powerful 42.5 kWh battery, longer
adventures are also possible with the all-electric drive. The
all-electric four-door model can be charged both in public spaces and
conveniently at home.
Innovative technologies optimise the
flexible charging of the battery: the starting time and time window as
well as a specific target value for the battery capacity can be
precisely determined with little effort. For a comfortable start to
the journey, the vehicle can not only be charged up to a specified
time, but can also be air-conditioned to the desired temperature. The
charging process, including charging time, costs and battery status,
can be conveniently tracked at any time from anywhere using the MINI app.

Four trims ensure a personalised appearance.
Numerous expressive paint finishes and up to three different
contrasting colours for the roof enable individual configurations and
a unique MINI Aceman for every aesthetic. Four different trims can be
used to give the model an additional individual expression: Essential
Trim, Classic Trim and Favoured Trim each highlight different vehicle
components in particular. The John Cooper Works Trim gives the MINI
Aceman a motorsport look with its own front and rear design, all-round
trim in high-gloss black and numerous accents in Chilli
Red.
Inside, the MINI Aceman is characterised by a reduction to
the essentials and a rounded design language. With the compact
steering wheel, the round central instrument and the characteristic
toggle switch strip, the interior is clearly in the tradition of the
classic MINI interior. High-contrast textile surfaces and comfortable
seats round off the high-quality interior appointments. From here,
adventures can be experienced comfortably and clearly - in the city
and beyond.

For the very first time, MINI will showcase its completely new model family at a motor show, highlighting its high-performance John Cooper Works brand.</pp:summary>

Munich/Shanghai. This year's Auto Shanghai has plenty
in store for MINI fans. From icons like the MINI Cooper 3-Door and the
Cooper 5-Door all the way to the newest member of the MINI family, the
MINI Aceman, MINI enthusiasts can admire the full range of the brand's
product portfolio from 23rd April to 2nd May.

This year’s focus is on the MINI John Cooper Works sub-brand. A
racing-oriented area, entirely in red, imbues the high-performance
segment with its unique dynamic. It unmistakably reflects the brand's
motorsport DNA.

MINI John Cooper Works:
Born on the racetrack, raised on the streets
.
In its motor show appearance, MINI is
particularly highlighting the new generation of John Cooper Works
models. At the same time, it is honouring the brand's motorsport
history. A classic Mini that was used in the legendary Monte Carlo
Rally will be displayed on the highlight area. Additionally, the MINI
John Cooper Works Pro, which won its class at the legendary 24 hours
race on the Nürburgring last year, will be displayed.

John Cooper Works now also fully electric.
MINI
is presenting the first two fully John Cooper Works models. With the
MINI John Cooper Works Electric and the MINI John Cooper Works Aceman,
racing enthusiasts now have the choice between two fully electric
high-performance models for the first time. Through their powerful
electric powertrains, they embody MINI's ongoing pursuit of
performance and innovation. The electric boost function provides an
additional 20kW of power, giving the models an especially
high-performance drive.

MINI John Cooper Works Aceman.
The MINI JCW
Aceman combines electric high performance with creative use of space.
The progressive design of the newest member of the MINI family
transports the brand's core idea into the present: maximising the
interior space within a minimum footprint, combined with an innovative
drive concept. The John Cooper Works variant of the MINI Aceman
achieves a top speed of 200 km/h and sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in
just 6.4 seconds. Visitors can once again interactively experience the
MINI Experience Modes around the all-electric MINI John Cooper Works
Aceman. The focus here is on the new John Cooper Works Mode, which
exclusively transfers MINI's motorsport DNA into the JCW models.

The MINI John Cooper Works Countryman ALL4: Sporty Performance
meets thoughtful comfort.
The largest member of the
John Cooper Works family, the MINI JCW Countryman ALL4 in traditional
British Racing Green reminds of the brand's motorsport history and
stands out with its impressive interior space. The generous rear-seat
legroom in the model provides passengers in the back with ample space.
The versatile luggage compartment creates more room for a sporty adventure.

Also on display: the MINI Cooper Convertible.
As
the most emotional model in the MINI family, the MINI Cooper
Convertible is celebrating its motor show premiere at Auto Shanghai
2025. The open Four-Seater embodies MINI's openness and is therefore
fully in line with its 'Always Open' philosophy. Thanks to the
powerful four-cylinder petrol engine and the open-top roof, the MINI
Cooper Convertible S provides an unmistakable open-air driving experience.

At Auto Shanghai 2025, MINI fans also can take a look at the new MINI
JCW Lifestyle Collection, which will be presented alongside a MINI JCW
Countryman ALL4. The JCW Lifestyle Collection brings MINI's racing
passion into everyday life.

Munich. The five current MINI John Cooper Works
models symbolize pure driving fun in its most powerful form and a
unique driving experience. With the MINI John Cooper Works Electric
and the MINI John Cooper Works Aceman, two fully electric John Cooper
Works models are now part of the MINI product portfolio for the first
time. The powerful electric drives open a new chapter in the brand's
long history and demonstrate its ongoing commitment to performance and
innovation. The MINI John Cooper Works and the MINI John Cooper Works
Convertible provide driving fun with a powerful TwinPower Turbo
engine. In the MINI John Cooper Works Countryman ALL4, enthusiasts can
also enjoy driving off-road thanks to the ALL4 all-wheel drive.

The MINI John Cooper Works Electric and the MINI John Cooper
Works Aceman: Electric high performance in a new
dimension.
The vehicle architecture of the fully
electric MINI models is perfectly suited for the brand's consistently
performance-oriented character. The MINI John Cooper Works Electric
(combined power consumption: 15.6-15.3 kWh/100 km according to WLTP;
combined CO2 emissions: 0 g/km; range in km according to WLTP: 371 -
363) and the MINI John Cooper Works Aceman (combined power
consumption: 16.4-16.0 kWh/100 km according to WLTP; combined CO2
emissions: 0 g/km; range in km according to WLTP: 355 - 344) have up
to 190 kW/258 hp and 350 Nm of instantly available system torque. Both
models provide an additional 20 kW of motor power via an electric
boost function, allowing for particularly dynamic acceleration. The
JCW-specific suspension tuning maximizes the typical MINI go-kart
feeling and guarantees agile handling. High-performance tires are part
of the standard equipment of both models.

Exclusive equipment details emphasize the emotional connection to the
brand's traditional motorsport heritage. These include the
red-white-black John Cooper Works logo in the style of a checkered
flag from motorsports, as well as a JCW-specific Multitone Roof with a
red-black color gradient. Black side skirts, model-specific aeroblades
at the C-pillar, and the accentuated rear spoiler optimize the
aerodynamics for increased range. The three-door MINI John Cooper
Works Electric achieves 371 kilometers, while the five-door MINI John
Cooper Works Aceman can drive up to 355 kilometers on a single battery charge.

MINI John Cooper Works and MINI John Cooper Works Convertible:
Legendary go-kart feeling with powerful
acceleration.
A four-cylinder TwinPower Turbo engine
with a displacement of two liters, 170 kW/231 hp, and 380 Nm of torque
offers maximum driving fun and top performance in both the MINI John
Cooper Works (combined fuel consumption: 6.8 - 6.5 l/100 km; combined
CO2 emissions: 154 - 147 g/km according to WLTP) and the MINI John
Cooper Works Convertible (combined fuel consumption: 7.1 - 6.8 l/100
km; combined CO2 emissions: 161 - 155 g/km according to WLTP). The
sportily tuned dual-clutch automatic transmission translates the
engine power into particularly dynamic gear changes. The MINI John
Cooper Works takes 6.1 seconds and the MINI John Cooper Works
Convertible 6.4 seconds to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h. The top speed of
the MINI John Cooper Works is 250 km/h, the MINI John Cooper Works
Convertible reaches 245 km/h. For boundless open-air driving pleasure,
the softtop of the Convertible can be fully retracted in just 18
seconds at speeds of up to 30 km/h.

The large octagonal high-gloss black front grille with wide air vents
for efficient engine cooling and the modern JCW logo dominates the
front view of both models. Red-colored inserts in the side air inlets
on the front apron underscore the motorsport-oriented design for
maximum performance. In the center of the black rear diffuser, the
centrally positioned tailpipe emphasizes the character of the two top athletes.

MINI John Cooper Works Countryman ALL4:
Extraordinary
driving fun on any terrain.
As the largest model, the
MINI John Cooper Works Countryman with ALL4 all-wheel drive (combined
fuel consumption: 8.3 - 7.8 l/100 km according to WLTP; combined CO2
emissions: 187-177 g/km) stands for a unique combination of style,
power, and adventurous spirit. The powerful engine delivers 221 kW/300
HP of power, 400 Nm of maximum torque, and a top speed of 250 km/h,
making the appearance of MINI's spacious multi-talent particularly emotional.

This performance is also reflected in the powerful appearance of the
MINI John Cooper Works Countryman ALL4. In the front view, aerodynamic
elements with red reflectors emphasize the wide stance, while at the
rear of the vehicle, vertical taillights with the John Cooper Works
Signature Mode frame the upright body. Advanced assistance systems
support the driver through progressive technologies. For the first
time, the MINI Countryman offers partially automated Level 2 driving
on highway-like routes, providing additional comfort.

Puristic Interior with motorsport accents.
The clear design of the interior in the new MINI John Cooper
Works models is characterized by JCW-specific equipment details in red
and black. The black JCW sports steering wheel with red decorative
stitching and a six o'clock spoke made of black and red fabric
provides excellent grip. The JCW sports seats offer secure support
during dynamic driving. The combination of black leatherette with
multi-colored knitted material in the shoulder area and red accent
stitching picks up the color pattern of the knitted surface of the
dashboard. In all MINI John Cooper Works models, the brilliant sound
of the exclusive Harman Kardon sound system enhances the driving
experience as standard.

Advanced technology for maximum and comfortable driving pleasure.
The JCW-specific go-kart mode expands the selection options of
the MINI Experience Modes in the vehicles of the new MINI John Cooper
Works family with additional motorsport flair. The steering is set to
a more direct setting, the accelerator pedal responds faster to
commands for increased driving fun. Accordingly, the high-resolution
OLED display provides additional performance-related data such as
torque, power output, and current g-force.

For all MINI John Cooper Works models, the Digital Key Plus provides
a convenient digital vehicle key on the smartphone. This allows the
vehicle to be comfortably unlocked or locked without having to pick up
the smartphone. For the MINI John Cooper Works Electric as well as the
MINI John Cooper Works Aceman, the Remote Parking function also offers
a convenient option to park and unpark the vehicle via the smartphone.

Long racing tradition with legendary successes.
The history of MINI John Cooper Works dates back to the year
1961. The John Cooper recognized the competitive potential of the
classic Mini long before anyone else. By installing a more powerful
engine, new brakes, and a more direct steering, he turned the modest
small car into a race car that made the giants of the rally scene
tremble in the 1960s. The three overall victories at the legendary
Rallye Monte Carlo in 1964, 1965, and 1967 are among the absolute
highlights of the classic Mini's racing career. The current generation
now carries the successful racing history into the future. Most
recently with the impressive class victory of a prototype based on the
new MINI John Cooper Works at the legendary 24-hour race at the
Nürburgring. Regardless of the model, all high-performance vehicles in
the new MINI John Cooper Works family exude one decisive
characteristic: the enthusiasm for top performance.

Munich. Just in time for the Paris Motor Show from 14
October to 20 October, MINI is presenting two new top models. Both the
MINI John Cooper Works Electric with up to 190 kW / 258 hp and the
MINI John Cooper Works Aceman with also up to 190 kW / 258 hp and top
acceleration and top speed figures underline the claim to leadership
in their vehicle class. The vehicle architecture of the all-electric
MINI models is perfectly suited to the consistently
performance-oriented characteristics of the John Cooper Works models.
The MINI 3 door sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.9 seconds, while
the MINI John Cooper Works Aceman reaches 100 km/h from a standing
start in 6.4 seconds. Both models have a top speed of 200 km/h and a
system torque of 350 Nm. The high-voltage batteries, each with an
energy content of 54.2 kWh (gross), provide the MINI John Cooper Works
Electric with a range of up to 371 kilometers determined in the WLTP
test cycle and up to 355 kilometers for the MINI John Cooper Works Aceman.

"With the new all-electric MINI John Cooper Works models, we are
bringing the legendary performance and driving dynamics of MINI into a
completely new era. We are combining the tradition and character of
the MINI brand with the latest technology to create a unique driving
experience that will thrill our customers”, says Stefan Richmann, Head
of MINI.

With the development of the new fully electric models, MINI John
Cooper Works is following a long racing tradition. More than six
decades ago, the sports car designer John Cooper developed an
extremely sporty version of the classic Mini, which quickly achieved
considerable success on racetracks and rally courses. Its legendary
status was cemented by three overall victories at the Monte Carlo
Rally in the 1960s. Most recently, a prototype based on the new MINI
John Cooper Works demonstrated the brand's engineering prowess by
winning its class at the Nürburgring 24-hour race.

Maximum performance thanks to innovative motorsport
technology.
John Cooper Works transfers successful
expertise from the racetrack to the road. In the all-electric models
of the new MINI family, this includes an innovative electric boost
function for impressive strong power delivery.
The driver
activates the go-kart mode by pressing the boost paddle on the sport
steering wheel. Additional 20 kW of electric power is then available
for overtaking manoeuvres and performance-boosting acceleration. This
provides unique high-acceleration driving fun.

John Cooper Works-specific suspension settings maximise the go-kart
feeling and ensure agile handling. High performance, high grip tyres
are standard on both models. A powerful braking system in Chili Red
with white JCW logo ensures precise and safe deceleration even in
demanding driving situations.

Emphasis on sporty design and optimised
aerodynamics.
The focus on top performance is underlined
on the outside by the particularly clear design language of the fully
electric MINI John Cooper Works models. The red, white and black John
Cooper Works logo is reminiscent of the chequered flag in motorsport
and adorns the octagonal front grille in high-gloss black. As a
welcome projection from the exterior mirrors, the illuminated logo
greets the driver even before he gets into the car.

The daytime running lights of the MINI LED headlights feature
horizontal bars in JCW Signature and enhance the expressive look of
the performance-enhanced model. Black side skirts, aeroblades at the
level of the C-pillar and the accentuated rear spoiler optimise the
aerodynamics. Red vertical reflectors and diffusers contrast with the
black rear apron.

A contrasting roof in Chili Red or a John Cooper Works-specific
multi-tone roof with a red and black gradient can be used to enhance
the sporty design. Aerodynamically optimised wheel designs are
available exclusively for the all-electric MINI John Cooper Works
Electric in 18-inch and in 19-inch size for the MINI John Cooper Works Aceman.

Racing-inspired interior.
The purist design of
the interior echoes the JCW-specific colour scheme. A black and red
pattern adorns the knitted surface of the dashboard. When the ambient
lighting is switched on, the light graphics illuminate the panoramic
roof as an exclusive feature. The JCW driver and front passenger seats
are upholstered in black synthetic leather with multicoloured knitted
fabric at the shoulders and red accent stitching.

The high-resolution OLED display with a diameter of 240 mm summarises
all relevant vehicle data. The driver and front passenger can access
air conditioning, media, phone and navigation settings via the central
instrument. The new MINI Experience Modes allow the ambience in the
interior to be customised.

Advanced assistance systems.
Innovative
assistance systems in the new, all-electric John Cooper Works models
also support the driver when not driving in sporty mode. Automatic
speed and distance control make driving in everyday traffic situations
even more comfortable. On the road, the MINI Navigation package
optionally provides support with 3D visualisation and Augmented View,
displays the current traffic situation, provides information about
parking options including digital payment options, and much more
besides. Extensive assistance functions increase safety by supporting
steering and lane keeping as part of the comprehensive Driving
Assistant Plus package.

Parking Assistant Professional uses twelve ultrasonic sensors and
four surround view cameras to detect suitable parking spaces and
automatically initiate parking manoeuvres if required.

The clear and minimalist design language creates a modern, cosy feel in the redesigned interior. The new colour and material scheme makes an important contribution to this: innovative materials, fresh colours and new patterns create a brand-typical feeling that transforms the interior into a feel-good place.</pp:summary>

Munich. Developing colour and material schemes is an
independent discipline within the MINI Design Studio. The interplay of
newly developed patterns, colours, small design details and the use of
innovative materials creates a particularly harmonious, homey ambience
in the new MINI model interiors. Drawing inspiration from fashion,
art, architecture and modern furniture design, completely new design
worlds, still maintaining links to the rich tradition of iconic MINI
design, emerge.

A key and consistent feature of the colour and material design for
the new MINI model family is their particular attention to detail. It
can be seen and sensed in every equipment variant. The colour scheme,
choice of materials, visual and tactile elements combine to create an
immersive and typical MINI overall experience.

Innovative materials offer new design
possibilities.
One particular highlight is the
innovative 2D weaving process used in the production of interior
surfaces made from recycled polyester. The dashboards and door panels
designed in this way create a sense of warmth and cosiness. The
weaving process offers new design possibilities in terms of colouring
and structure. It enables a dual-colour design with a particularly
striking sense of depth. This comes about when the lower textile
layer’s colour subtly shines through the upper one. This technique,
inspired by sneaker design and meticulously refined, gives the
surfaces a visual complexity, bringing a high-quality and unique
appearance to the interior.

“The weaving process allows us to create unique dual-colour designs
that bring a special aesthetic and atmosphere to the interior,” says
Elena Schwörer, designer for materials and weaving. The woven textiles
are not only visually appealing, but also offer an attractive tactile
experience. The woven structure specially developed for the new MINI
model family is a unique selling point, setting it apart from the
competition. It also offers extensive customisation potential, as new
colours and patterns can be easily introduced.

Colours and materials harmoniously combined.
The
headrests of the new sports seats in the John Cooper Works Trim also
feature an exclusive 2D woven surface that extends into the shoulder
area. The combination of high-quality materials and precisely
coordinated colour tones generates a harmonious, modern appearance in
the cockpit as well as an exceptionally homey character. The new
Vibrant Silver accent colour is a nuanced set-off to the contrasting
stitching on the steering wheel.

“We wanted to use colours that respect the heritage of the brand and
at the same time create a fresh, contemporary aesthetic,” explains
Jeanette Ohlhäuser, colour designer at the MINI Design Studio. For
example, British Racing Green, the iconic colour closely associated
with the brand’s motorsport tradition, is interpreted as Dark Petrol
in the new MINI Aceman interior. Favoured Trim picks up on the elegant
colour tone in the woven surfaces of the dashboard and door trim as
well as in the seat accents. Dark Petrol also harmonises particularly
well with the Rebel Red exterior colour. This alternates between
different shades of red and orange depending on how the light falls on it.

Precisely crafted structures for a special tactile
experience.
The overall feel plays just as central a
role in the interior design of the new MINI model family as the colour
scheme and visual appearance of the materials. The surface textures
and graining, found on almost every plastic part in the interior, are
also developed with the utmost precision. “It is important to us that
the texture of the surfaces harmonises perfectly with the other
materials, such as the woven fabric in the interior,” says Marlies
Michel, designer of MINI graining. The blueprints for the various
surface textures used in the new MINI model family are based on
influences that the design team draws from nature and science. This
could be the grain on wood or rock, for example – but it could just as
easily be a satellite photo of the earth, where fields, bodies of
water or mountains can be seen as graphics with the appropriate
resolution and provide inspiration for new grain patterns and
structures. The very subtle MINI grain developed in this way blends
perfectly with the visually strong weave and serves as a link between
all the materials in the vehicle interior.

Many small individual elements form the parts of the equation that
combines to form a harmonious, modern and high-quality overall
picture. This extraordinary depth of detail once again emphasises the
enormous leap forward in design that MINI has made with the new model generation.

Munich. With its all-electric drive, progressive
crossover proportions and innovative digital features, the MINI Aceman
brings a breath of fresh air to the premium small car segment. The
MINI Aceman SE (combined power consumption: 14.8-14.0 kWh/100 km in
accordance with WLTP; combined CO2 emissions: 0 g/km; CO2 class: A;
range in km according to WLTP: 382 — 405) achieves a torque of 330 Nm
with 160 kW/218 hp. As a result, the vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100
km/h in 7.1 seconds. With a range of 405 kilometres in the WLTP test
cycle, the MINI Aceman SE is also ideally equipped for trips beyond
the city limits.

The brand-typical direct steering underlines the agile and dynamic
driving behaviour. Innovative driver assistance systems assist with
steering and lane keeping and contribute to the superior driving
experience in the MINI Aceman. The Parking Assistant Professional
detects possible parking spaces even more precisely and, if desired,
automatically takes over the entire parking process for even more convenience.

A high-voltage battery with 54.2 kWh energy content supplies the
efficient electric motor and can be charged with up to 95 kW DC at
fast charging stations. This means that just under 30 minutes is
enough to increase the battery capacity from 10 percent to 80 percent.
11 kW of power is available via alternating current.

Extremely compact and charismatic.
The very short overhangs make the MINI Aceman particularly agile
in urban traffic. The classic division of body, surrounding window
graphics and roof is reinterpreted. A flush transition between vehicle
body and glass surfaces as well as flat integrated door handles
optimize aerodynamic properties for greater range.

The crossover model is available in four different trims. In
combination with the model-specific colour Rebel Red, the progressive
design in Favoured Trim looks particularly distinctive. The roof and
mirror caps in jet black create contrasting accents. Combined with its
robust contours and athletic stand, the MINI Aceman radiates a
self-confident presence.

An absolute unique selling point of the MINI Aceman are the
distinctively shaped wheel arches with their long, stretched out
design and steep downturn. Equipped with standard roof rails and a
fold-out trailer hitch, visually highlighted wheels in sizes 17 inches
to 19 inches, and skid protection on the front, rear and sides of the
vehicle, the MINI Aceman demonstrates versatility and a spirit of adventure.

Purist design and contemporary driving comfort in the interior.
The minimally designed cockpit of the MINI Aceman cites the
classic Mini by inventor Sir Alec Issigonis. The high-resolution OLED
display in the centre and the characteristic toggle switch strip below
offer the driver and passenger convenient handling with plenty of
freedom. The modern form language continues in the curved surfaces of
the dashboard covered with knitted material. In Favoured Trim, the
petrol-coloured textile with an orange colour gradient extends to the
inside of the door. The sports seats made of Vescin in dark petrol
with accent stitching can be selected to match.

Comfortable shoulder dimensions and generous legroom give the bright
cockpit an open and spacious atmosphere. The panoramic glass roof
supports this effect by providing additional brightness from above.
The spacious rear seat offers room for three passengers. The backrest
of the rear row of seats, which can be folded down at a ratio of
60:40, allows the luggage compartment to be expanded from a volume of
300 litres to up to 1,005 litres, as needed.

Innovative technology for a new driving experience.
The OLED display with a high-quality glass surface has a
diameter of 240 mm. All driving functions can be controlled
intuitively via touch or voice with the central instrument. At the top
of the display, the driver has a direct view of the speed and battery
level at all times. The menu items Navigation, Media, Telephone and
Climate can always be selected directly at the bottom of the display.

With the emotional MINI Experience Modes, the interior of the MINI
Aceman can be expanded with immersive user experiences. Depending on
the selected Experience Mode, two projector units emit special
lighting graphics onto the dashboard. The ambient lighting throughout
the interior adapts accordingly. The newly created MINI Driving Sounds
reinforce the experience of all-electric mobility.

Advanced assistance systems for relaxed
driving.
The Driving Assistant Plus expands the MINI
Aceman with a steering and lane assistant for lateral guidance.
Comfortable and cooperative steering helps the driver stay in lane.
The increased comfort offered by the system combines relaxed and
superior control of the vehicle and at the same time relieves the
driver of the monotonous and less demanding aspects of driving.
Equipped as standard, the Trailer Assistant helps you park with a
trailer and provides information on the required steering wheel angle
when reversing.

Twelve ultrasonic sensors and four surround view cameras assist the
MINI Aceman during automatic parking processes. The new remote parking
function of the optional Parking Assistant Professional makes it
possible to park the vehicle via smartphone. With this function, the
MINI Aceman automatically moves out of the parking space and makes it
easier to get into the car if lateral space is too tight.

For a convenient and personalized vehicle experience, the smartphone
becomes the key and makes car sharing easier. With the innovative MINI
Digital Key Plus option, the front and rear lights start the welcome
projection as soon as the driver is less than three meters away, and
the doors unlock automatically. The digital key can be transferred to
several users and replaces the transfer of the classic vehicle key.

Munich / Beijing. At Auto China 2024 in Beijing, the
BMW Group presents the latest progress in its change towards
electrification, digitalisation and circularity. World premieres of
new BMW and MINI models take centre stage. The BMW Vision Neue Klasse,
which heralds the next generation of BMW vehicles, is on show for the
first time in China.

„With the NEUE KLASSE, we are carrying BMW into the future: in
design, technology and philosophy. It begins already next year when we
will release the NEUE KLASSE onto the market. Not with niche models –
but starting in our most successful, highest-volume segments,“ says
Oliver Zipse, Chairman of the Board of Management of BMW AG.

The BMW Vision Neue Klasse signals the start of a new era of
individual mobility and provides a glimpse of the BMW brand's future
model generation. It is rich in digital experiences, locally
emission-free and circular in the long term to ensure typical BMW
driving pleasure for future generations. Production of the Neue Klasse
series models will start in 2025, initially at the BMW Group plant in
Debrecen and shortly afterwards in China.

The brand's most popular electric vehicle worldwide is currently the
BMW i4, the new version of which will celebrate its world premiere at
Auto China 2024. The success of the BMW i4 confirms the BMW Group's
open technology approach, which makes it possible to produce vehicles
with purely electric drive systems and highly efficient combustion
engines on a common platform. In Beijing, the new BMW i4 will be shown
to the public for the first time together with the BMW 4 Series Gran
Coupé's combustion engine variants, which have also been further developed.

The world premiere of the MINI Aceman at Auto China 2024 marks the
third member of the brand's new model family. The all-electric
crossover model closes the gap between the new MINI Cooper and the new
MINI Countryman.

"What the NEUE KLASSE is to BMW, the New MINI Family is to MINI:
the most desirable product range in the history of the brand and the
biggest investment we ever made in MINI. At just over four metres
long, the Aceman embodies the basic idea of the original, iconic MINI
of 1959: progressive design, optimal use of space and a minimal
footprint.," said Jochen Goller, member of the Board of
Management of BMW AG, responsible for Customer, Brand and Sales.

The Beijing International Automotive Exhibition, in short: Auto
China, is one of the most important trade fairs in the international
automotive industry. The 18th edition of the exhibition, which
alternates with Auto Shanghai, will be held under the theme "New
Era, New Cars" and will be open to the public from 25 April to 4
May 2024. At the China International Exhibition Centre in Beijing, car
manufacturers, suppliers and service providers from all over the world
will present their new models, products and technologies. The BMW
Group brands will present their current product range on an exhibition
area of around 2,000 square metres.

China premiere: The BMW Vision Neue Klasse.

The BMW Vision Neue Klasse combines the BMW Group's innovative
strength and development expertise in the key future fields of
electrification, digitalisation and circularity. A reinterpretation of
the brand's typical design goes hand in hand with the progress
embodied by the Vision vehicle. A clear design language reduced to the
essentials with generous surfaces and few striking lines creates an
almost monolithic body. Characteristic features such as the BMW
radiator grille and the Hofmeister kink counter-swing on the C-pillar.
are brought into even sharper focus.

In the interior, the next generation of BMW iDrive offers a unique
digital user experience that merges the real and virtual worlds. It
consistently puts the driver and his needs at the centre. In addition
to the multifunction buttons on the steering wheel and the Central
Display, the driver can interact with the vehicle using the innovative
BMW Panoramic Vision. For the first time, it projects information
across the entire width of the windscreen and is complemented in the
Neue Klasse series by the enhanced BMW 3D Head-Up Display. Analogue
controls are reduced to a minimum in the BMW Vision Neue Klasse.

The increased use of secondary raw materials, resource-conserving
production methods and all-electric drive with sixth-generation BMW
eDrive technology will reduce the CO2 footprint of the Neue
Klasse over the entire life cycle of the vehicles. In order to
increase recyclability and take a decisive step towards a circular
economy, the variety of materials used has also been reduced. An
improved dismantling concept also helps to optimise the recycling of
Neue Klasse vehicles.

World premiere: The new BMW i4, the new BMW 4 Series Gran Coupé.

The appeal of pure electric premium mobility is also being
consistently enhanced in the current model range of the BMW brand. The
BMW i4 will be available in four model variants on the world's
automotive markets as part of an extensive model revision. The
Connected Home Charging Package for intelligent, solar- and
load-optimised charging at home will be offered in the first pilot
markets. The BMW i4 also offers the Plug & Charge Multi Contract
function, which enables charging at fast charging stations without an
app or card.

The latest advances in digitalisation are represented by the latest
generation of BMW iDrive with QuickSelect based on BMW Operating
System 8.5, which is available in both the new BMW i4 and the
combustion engine models of the new BMW 4 Series Gran Coupé. With the
BMW Curved Display and the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, the
enhanced BMW iDrive is consistently geared towards operation via touch
functions and natural speech. The digital update in the new BMW i4 and
the new BMW 4 Series Gran Coupé is accompanied by a redesign of the
instrument panel. New steering wheels, interior trims and seat
upholstery add modern accents to the premium ambience of all model variants.

On the exterior, the sporty profile of the premium mid-range models,
which are extremely successful with both all-electric and conventional
drive systems, has been sharpened by the redesign of the BMW radiator
grille and headlights. In conjunction with the optional adaptive LED
headlights, all models also feature exclusive laser rear lights. The
range of exterior colours for the BMW i4 and the BMW 4 Series Gran
Coupé has been extended to include the new Cape York Green metallic
and Fire Red metallic variants. New aerodynamic 19-inch and 20-inch
wheels are also available.

World premiere: the new MINI Aceman.

With its all-electric drive, progressive crossover proportions and
innovative digital features, the new MINI Aceman brings fresh impetus
to the premium small car segment. It combines the brand's hallmark
agility with creative use of space and high functionality, making it
the ideal companion in the city. With four doors and a large tailgate,
the MINI Aceman is just over four metres long and offers room for five
passengers and plenty of storage space for everyday use and weekend excursions.

As a character in its own right, the MINI Aceman appeals to customers
who value the expression of individuality and personality in an urban
environment. Its reduced, purist exterior design with clearly defined
contours and strong edges is an expression of the new MINI design
language "Charismatic Simplicity".

The intelligent interior concept maximises space by cleverly
arranging seats and stowage compartments to make the most of the
available room. The expressive and colourful interior design is made
possible by the use of high-quality materials and innovative
technologies such as the 3D knitting process for the textile surfaces.
The MINI Interaction Unit with circular OLED display, MINI Experience
Modes and dynamic projections on the dashboard and door sills provide
a holistic user experience of light, motion, interaction and sound.

Mr. Heilmer, when you joined MINI in 2017, how did you set
about developing a vision to lead the models into the future?

Given that MINI is a very traditional brand, the question was: how do
you evolve a brand like this into the future? To answer that, we went
right back to the birth of the classic Mini to understand the spirit
of Sir Alec Issigonis and derive from this where the MINI brand is
heading in today’s context. The next step was to explore the essence
of the original Mini together with our very diverse team and derive
our own creative mindset. This was our foundation to develop an
overall brand design vision to serve as a guiding principle in
designing the new products.

What was your biggest challenge in developing a completely new
design language?

The biggest challenge was and still is the profound engagement with
the brand's strong history. The first MINI was an absolute disruption
– but that is also part of the story. We could just say that MINI is
disruption and let everything that happened before stay in the history
books. But that would be to discard the heart of the brand. Instead,
we now talk about independent characters – and the MINI Cooper
immediately shone as the icon in our eyes. You get closer to the
quintessential ethos of the original model: a powerful character, but
with as few fancy frills as possible – “Charismatic Simplicity”
expresses this.

What does the new MINI “Charismatic Simplicity” design
language represent and how is this reflected in the new MINI Aceman?

It’s about strong characters and about each family member having
their own individual place within the MINI family. For example, the
MINI Aceman has a unique design language when viewed from the side,
and a unique graphic for the wheel arch trims. It is compact, agile
and exudes a determination to forge ahead. That is what highlights
this charismatic aspect. At the same time, we have consciously kept
away from superfluous stylistic elements. Our challenge was to define
a distinctive character with as few design elements as possible.

How would you describe the MINI Aceman character?

The MINI Aceman is both a practical and expressive, unique companion
in everyday life. It steps out into the world fresh and carefree and
takes up its place at the centre of the MINI family. It is an
independent character that can be quite ‘edgy’ and appeals to
customers who – irrespective of their age – value individuality and
distinctiveness in urban spaces.

The MINI Aceman is the first of its kind. What makes the MINI
Aceman the signature vehicle for the urban environment?

The MINI Aceman fits perfectly into the urban environment as it
reinterprets the classic MINI values in a modern, all-electric
crossover format. It offers an elevated seating position that conveys
a feeling of safety and a generous amount of space without losing the
compactness and manoeuvrability that are the MINI hallmarks.

Where do you draw fresh inspiration to develop new MINI models?

Inspiration never happens by chance but comes from a regular and
targeted exchange of views within our team, in which each member
contributes their inspiring and fascinating experiences. One team
member builds skateboards, for example, while another lived on a
sailing boat for two years. I would say it is roughly split between
direct and indirect inspiration. Indirect inspiration involves
everything that fuels a spirit, which comes across in the materials we
use as well as in the surfaces and the digital aspects. Direct
inspiration is in the architecture or fashion, for example. However,
creative debate within the team throughout is crucial.

How do new, sustainably produced materials influence the
design process at MINI?

Our brand design vision is based on our “creative mindset”, which
consists of four guiding values: heartbeat, curiosity, responsibility
and daredevil. These values stand for our basic principles such as
heritage, curiosity for the new, sustainability and the courage to
stand out from the crowd. For us, sustainability and the responsible
use of resources have nothing to do with compromise, but rather
exploring new possibilities in our creative process. Instead of
materials such as leather, we use alternative technologies that allow
more design freedom and individualisation, for example through using
patterns or two-tone colours. The 3D knit is an example of one of the
central design elements inspired by the sneaker industry. We are also
replacing elements: for example, chrome with our new Vibrant Silver
colour for aesthetic reasons.

Which of the MINI Aceman design innovations are you
particularly proud of?

Two things in particular, and they are both about size. The MINI
Aceman is very compact because of its very short overhangs at the
front and rear. Even so, the vehicle is extremely safe. This is the
result of truly outstanding engineering work. But it’s not just the
things you can see that make it special. I would also make particular
mention of how the sense of space is brought throughout the interior
to achieve maximum lightness.

Are there any hidden design element that you would only see on
closer inspection?

The idea behind us hiding little Easter eggs was knowing that people
love discovering surprises. Not always in plain sight, but a little
further down the line. Digital innovation allows for this sort of
playfulness: for example, the navigation arrow can be depicted as a
small MINI, or a large spinning record can be displayed on the central
interface. And that’s how Spike was born, an animal friend who has
always been a loyal companion to the brand. This gave rise to the idea
of offering a kind of digital companion. That’s how Spike got on board
the MINI and now lives in the display, so to speak.

What direction do you want the MINI design to take in the future?

As a team, we believe that our “creative mindset” will remain just as
relevant to us as a guiding principle for future products. At the same
time, we will focus even more strongly on the value of responsibility.
Curiosity and responsibility – these are the values that we are
introducing into the minds of the next generation.

If there was a product outside the car segment that you could
design – what would it be?

Many things come to mind, but if I had to choose one, I would say: a
sailing boat. I’ve only been sailing maybe five times in my life, but
I still have a fascination for open water and dealing with the natural
forces that prevail there. I designed a trimaran together with a
fellow student for my degree dissertation, with the question of
whether it is possible to design “automotive” in an area of mobility
that is not necessarily confined to the road – I believe that there is
still enormous potential there.

Press Contact: Laura-Marie Kremser
Tel: +49-89-382-98114
E-mail: laura-marie.kremser@bmwgroup.com

J05,Aceman,Product,MINI

Munich. Creative use of space – reinterpreted: MINI
celebrates the premiere of the first crossover model for the premium
small car segment. The new MINI Aceman combines compact exterior
dimensions with as much room as possible for occupants and an
all-electric drive. The result is a contemporary interpretation of
classic Mini inventor Sir Alec Issigonis’ underlying vision: maximum
utilisation of space with a minimum footprint combined with a modern
drive concept. The progressive design of the new MINI Aceman provides
space for five comfortable seats within a vehicle length of just over
four metres. MINI draws on innovative technologies to enhance the
interior with an immersive digital user experience, while the MINI
Aceman’s all-electric drive gives a fresh boost to the characteristic
MINI go-kart feeling. Combined with modern assistance systems and
hallmark design, traditional brand values pave the way for an
all-electric MINI future.

From the outside, the MINI Aceman embodies sporty agility and a
self-assured presence. The vehicle architecture of the new crossover
model is based on a fully electric drive concept.

Measuring just under four metres in length, the new MINI Aceman has
five seats and a versatile luggage compartment with a load volume of
300 litres, while numerous adjustment options enable this capacity to
be extended individually to as much as 1,005 litres. With a range of
up to 405 kilometres in the WLTP test cycle, the MINI Aceman is
perfectly equipped for locally emission-free mobility beyond the city
limits, too.

New design style “Charismatic Simplicity”.
The entire new MINI family features a clear, reduced design,
giving the various models a contemporary look that exudes effortless
assurance. The minimalist design style of the MINI Aceman also
powerfully conveys its progressive character.

“The MINI Aceman is a strong character with his own young personality
within the new MINI family. It has an independent form language, is
compact and looks agile. With its distinctive expression, it is the
perfect everyday companion for those who value individuality in urban
areas.” emphasizes Oliver Heilmer, Head of MINI Design

The exterior.

Expressive crossover with compact proportions.
With its striking front-end, robust contours and athletic
stance, the sporty MINI crossover model epitomises agility and
self-assured presence. Measuring 4.07 metres in length, 1.75 metres in
width and 1.50 metres in height, the MINI Aceman is positioned between
the MINI Cooper and the MINI Countryman.

Featuring a streamlined front, short overhangs and the functional
two-box design, the brand’s hallmark “Clever Use of Space” design
principle has been given a new, distinctive character, while the
all-electric drive opens up a whole range of fresh possibilities in
terms of vehicle design. Creative space utilisation ensures the new
MINI Aceman is agile and nimble in urban traffic while at the same
time providing ample room for occupants.

Continuous surfaces give centre stage to the expressive and elegant
colours of the body. The versatile and adventurous character of the
MINI Aceman is emphasised by the standard roof rails, visually
accentuated wheels in sizes from 17” to 19”, and underride protection
at the front, rear and sides of the vehicle.

Modern front-end design with striking LED headlights.
The front-end design of the MINI Aceman conveys a powerful
presence, reinterpreting typical MINI design elements such as the
expressive headlights and the characteristic front grille. Its
remodelled, octagonal shape builds on the traditional underlying theme
of the hexagon. The grille surround in the MINI Aceman extends into
the solid underride protection on the front apron. In the new Vibrant
Silver finish or in high-gloss Jet Black, the front grille sets highly
contrasting accents, helping to make the crossover model instantly identifiable.

With their individual design, the car’s angular LED headlights also
lend emphasis to the distinctive standing of the MINI Aceman within
the MINI model family. Their shape is perpetuated in the clarity of
the bonnet design with its precise lines, giving the front of the
vehicle its distinctive character. The daytime running light elements
of the LED headlights can be switched to three different modes,
underpinning the expressive character of this new MINI family member.

Distinctive body design with eye-catching details.
The surface design of the MINI Aceman contributes to the clarity
and freshness of the new model’s aesthetic style. Tautly stretched
body surfaces are accentuated by precise lines and robust angles.
While making a progressive statement, this eye-catching styling of the
MINI Aceman also forges a link to the brand’s history, enabling it to
be instantly identified as a MINI.

The classic tripartite division of body, surrounding window graphics
and roof has been reinterpreted. In keeping with idea of reducing
everything to the essentials, a flush transition between the vehicle
body and glass surfaces optimises the car’s aerodynamic properties.
Flat integrated door openers emphasise the progressive expression of
the MINI Aceman, while diagonal contours in the body below the
A-pillars echo the weld crease of the classic Mini models in the front
area of the side panels. Harmonious surfaces and horizontal lines
between the wheel arches create an intriguing waistline, giving the
vehicle body its unmistakable dynamic flair. The strikingly shaped
wheel arches with their long rearward sweep and relatively steep
downturn are an entirely unique feature of the MINI Aceman within the
MINI Family. Sills in matt black round off the design of the side view
towards the road, and their shape is carried on into the door area,
giving the vehicle body a slim, upright and athletic appearance.

The rear of the vehicle reflects clarity of design, featuring large
horizontal surfaces that emphasise the vehicle’s broad and stable
stance. The aerodynamically bevelled and retracted rear window ensures
a pronounced, powerful shoulder section, an effect that is further
emphasised by the elongated roof spoiler. The hallmark MINI upright
rear lights frame the centre section of the rear of the vehicle. With
three distinctive graphics, the Matrix rear lights bear out the
character of the MINI Aceman in differing ways. A wide, dark surround
at the lower edge of the rear apron and the underride protection
element integrated in the centre make for sporty proportions, thereby
conveying the crossover model’s versatile characteristics.

Expressive body finishes and four individual trims
.
The subtle three-dimensional quality of the body surfaces is
stylishly highlighted by means of expressive colours. Shadows cast by
the accentuated bodywork can be perceived to varying degrees,
depending on the incidence of light and perspective. In combination
with four contrasting finishes for the roof in hallmark MINI style,
this conveys the expressive character of the MINI Aceman with
particular clarity.

The MINI Aceman is available in four different trims. An
oblong-shaped badge in the design of the respective equipment variant
is attached to the front area of the side sill. The Essential Trim
presents maximum clarity and a reduced overall appearance,
highlighting certain functional parts such as the logo in the new
Vibrant Silver finish. In connection with the Classic Trim, the
contrasting roof and exterior mirrors can be selected in black or
white. The front grille is finished in high-gloss black, while the
inner surface of the grille and the bumper are finished in body colour.

The Favoured Trim extends the individual expressive capabilities of
the MINI Aceman to include the option of the characteristic Multitone
Roof, combined with white mirror caps and a grille frame in Vibrant
Silver. The maximum sporty flair of the new crossover model is
particularly evident in the JCW Trim. This equipment variant inspired
by motorsports has its very own distinctive front and rear design. The
front grille is featuring a frame and the variant-specific JCW logo in
high-gloss black, while a contrasting roof in Chili Red and red bonnet
stripes underline the powerful overall appearance. Meanwhile the rear
sculpture is much more muscular in shape and the all-round panelling
is finished in high-gloss black.

Various aerodynamic wheel rim designs in sizes between 17 inches and
19 inches further complement the exterior equipment options available
for the MINI Aceman.

The interior.

Purist design and wide-ranging material concept.
The new MINI design style “Charismatic Simplicity” is expressed
particularly clearly in the interior. With its consistent reduction in
terms of interior design, the MINI Aceman follows the original vision
of Alec Issigonis, the inventor of the classic Mini. With its
easy-to-handle steering wheel, a central OLED display and the
remodelled hallmark toggle bar, the cockpit echoes three key design
elements of the classic Mini. By means of this contemporary styling in
the entirely new crossover model, MINI transports the history of the
brand into the here and now.

Spacious door interiors along with comfortable dimensions in the
shoulder area and convenient legroom give the bright cockpit an open
and amply proportioned atmosphere, while the panoramic glass roof
enhances this effect by providing additional light from above. In the
dark, the ambient lighting along the roof frame creates the selected
lighting mood in the interior. The free-standing door handles and the
speaker covers in the new Vibrant Silver finish are aligned diagonally
and create a fascinating contrast with the horizontal design in the
front area of the cockpit.

The gentle, rounded design style of the interior is further reflected
in the curved surfaces of the dashboard: the latter’s surface is
covered with a knitted material in which the lower colour shines
through the upper one. This gives the interior a homely character with
starkly accentuated colour contrasts. Extending to the interior door
trim, the easy-care, versatile structure is made of recycled
polyester. Rounding off the high-quality fittings in the cockpit are
comfortable seats, optionally featuring a textile surface or made of
perforated Vescin.

The amply sized rear of the vehicle offers space for three
passengers. Thanks to the 60:40 folding rear seat backrest, the
luggage compartment can be extended from 300 litres to up to 1,005
litres as required.

High-resolution OLED display for contemporary ride comfort.
With innovative technologies, the circular OLED display lends
the interior additional expressive quality. With a diameter of 240 mm,
the central instrument features an extremely flat design and a
high-quality glass surface. The innovative MINI Operating System 9
enables all driving functions to be operated intuitively by touch or
voice. A centre for both comfort and experience, the MINI Interaction
Unit is handled in a similar way to a smartphone.

The graphic presentation of the vehicle-related data is contemporary
and minimalistic in style, with the speed and battery status shown
prominently at the top of the display, directly in the driver’s field
of vision. Tapping the speed display opens a large full-screen
speedometer that clearly focuses on the driving experience. The other
widgets are shown in thumbnail view in the Home menu, to the left and
right of the current menu function. These can be moved to the centre
and selected by means of a horizontal swiping movement. In the lower
area of the OLED display, the menu items Navigation, Media, Telephone
and Climate can be selected directly at any time.

MINI Experience Modes enhance the driving experience.
The emotional MINI Experience Modes enhance the interior with
immersive user experiences. In the MINI Aceman, two projector units
beam special illuminated graphics onto the dashboard with differing
patterns and colours. Changes are made to the colour scheme of the
light patterns and to the ambient lighting in the entire interior
depending on the Experience Mode selected. The newly created MINI
Driving Sounds enhance the experience of all-electric mobility.
Together with specific graphic elements on the OLED display, vehicle
occupants enjoy an entirely new driving experience in the interior of
the MINI Aceman.

Among the eight modes available for selection, Personal Mode offers
innovative options for customising the cockpit. In this mode, a
personally selected image can be uploaded from a smartphone via the
MINI app and chosen as the display background. A digital colour picker
then identifies the dominant colours of the photo for projection onto
the textile dashboard surfaces. The ambient lighting under the
dashboard and in the door mirror is also colour-coded to match these projections.

The other modes available for selection are Go-Kart Mode, Vivid Mode,
Core Mode, Green Mode, Timeless Mode, Balance Mode and Trail Mode,
each of which focusses the display on a “Mode App” to match the
ambience. In Go-Kart Mode there is a highly dynamic focus on MINI’s
racing DNA, for example. The display and the interior as a whole then
feature the colours anthracite and red, while specific analogue
displays for driving dynamics complement this MINI Experience Mode
inspired by John Cooper Works.

Typical MINI: historic toggle bar in a new
design.
In the classic Mini, the feel of the toggle bar
at the centre of the cockpit enhanced the emotional connection between
driver and vehicle. MINI also draws on this characteristic equipment
detail to transport brand history into the latest of its models. The
most important driving functions (parking brake, gear selector,
start/stop key, experience mode toggle, volume control) are directly
accessible in the MINI Aceman via five individually designed toggles.
This means that no additional gear selector is required, making room
for practical and spacious storage options in the centre console. In
addition to the cup holders, there is an additional tray for
wirelessly charging smartphones.

Four individual equipment options.
All the
models of the new MINI family feature four trims with individual
customisation options, each conveying the contemporary feel-good
concept in the interior of the MINI Aceman in a different way.

In the Essential Trim, the interior is designed with maximum clarity
and a reduction of equipment details. Black sports seats with
distinctly patterned multitone textile harmonise with a coloured
textile inlay on the dashboard. From the Classic trim upwards, the
two-spoke basic steering wheel is replaced by a three-spoke steering
wheel with a textile band in differing colours. In addition, the
equipment variant with a black and blue knitted surface on the
dashboard and doors provides a diversified contrast to the seats in
high-quality fabric or Vescin.

In the Favoured Trim, the interior features a strikingly expressive
design. The dashboard comes in the elegant Dark Petrol, complemented
by an accentuated colour gradient in orange on the passenger side. The
dynamic appearance is further reflected in the sports seats made of
perforated Vescin. These are available with traditional accent
stitching and an embroidered MINI logo in two colours. The JCW Trim
presents the versatile material concept of the MINI Aceman in maximum
sporty style. The JCW seat with sports seat geometry and additional
lateral support noticeably enhances comfort. Combined with
multi-coloured knitted textile and black synthetic leather with red
stitching, the colour concept echoes the design of the dashboard and
door trim.

Digital services.

Simplified communication with the first MINI voice
assistant.
The brand’s first fully-fledged voice
assistant can be activated in the MINI Aceman by saying “Hey MINI!”.
Alternatively, the push-to-talk steering wheel button is also
available for this purpose. Voice-controlled interaction is visualised
on the circular OLED display by means of an animation of graphic
elements, typography and an avatar. Communication with the virtual
travel partner – either a stylised MINI or the character “Spike” – is
particularly fluent and intuitive thanks to improved speech
recognition. Navigation, telephony, entertainment and numerous vehicle
functions can be controlled simply and conveniently by speaking the
relevant command.

The MINI Intelligent Personal Assistant learns continuously through
dialogue and is able to take on day-to-day tasks on repeated routes.
Based on geo-based data, for example, the vehicle can identify the
entrance to a multi-storey car park and automatically open the window.
This means that individual routines can be handled more conveniently.

Advanced assistance systems increase
safety.
Driving Assistant Plus provides the MINI Aceman
with an additional steering and lane assistant for lateral guidance.
Convenient and cooperative steering helps the driver stay on track.
The increased comfort offered by the system combines relaxed and
superior control of the vehicle while relieving the driver of the
monotonous and less demanding aspects of driving. The clear-cut
appearance of the displays, operating elements and easy-to-understand
functional features result in a high degree of system security. The
new Trailer Assistant helps when manoeuvring into a parking space with
a trailer as standard, also offering advice on the required steering
wheel angle when reversing.

Thanks to twelve ultrasonic sensors and four Surround View cameras,
the MINI Aceman is able to identify vacant parking spaces with greater
precision, automatically initiating parking manoeuvres where space is
limited, while the new Remote Parking function of the optional Parking
Assistant Pro enables the vehicle to be parked using a smartphone.
This function allows the MINI Aceman to be driven out of a parking
space automatically, making it easier to get into the vehicle if space
to the side is too limited.

The innovative MINI Digital Key Plus option likewise utilises the
user’s smartphone to ensure a convenient and personalised vehicle
experience, transforming the smartphone into a vehicle key. The front
and rear lights start the welcome projection as soon as the driver is
less than three metres away, and the doors unlock automatically.
Replacing the conventional vehicle key, the digital key can be
transferred to several users.

Convenient connectivity and intuitive interaction.
The modern aesthetics of the digital user interface in
the MINI Aceman combine functional and emotional elements. Its
minimalist design adapts the new graphics to the circular shape of the
MINI Interaction Unit, simplifying operation by means of a clear
structure. Static and dynamic elements combined with micro-animations
ensure that the interaction between the driver and the central
instrument is harmonious and intuitive. This emphatically digital
character of the MINI Aceman is enabled by the MINI Operating System 9.

At the centre of the screen is the start menu, while at the bottom of
the screen the fixed status bar can be seen with the menu items
“Navigation”, “Media”, “Telephony”, “All Apps” and, in certain
situations, “Home” – all of which can be selected directly. As
customers are used to from numerous consumer electronics devices, a
so-called toolbelt can be made to appear by swiping upwards from the
bottom edge of the screen. Preferred functions such as navigation
destinations and radio stations can be saved for quick retrieval at
any time. The toolbelt can also be activated via the star button on
the multifunction steering wheel. The upper screen area is reserved
for driving-related content such as speed and important vehicle status
information. The optional head-up display presents the most important
information in the driver’s line of sight.

The temperature is shown permanently for the driver and front
passenger at the left and right-hand edge of the screen. The climate
settings are always integrated at the top level of the MINI
Interaction Unit and are operated by either touch or voice. Depending
on the Experience Mode, a single tap on the speed display transforms
the entire MINI Interaction Unit into a typical MINI speedometer.

MINI Connected upgrades allow additional driving functions to be
activated flexibly at any time, including an optional augmented
reality function that is able to visualise complicated turning
situations realistically and in three-dimensional display, for
example. In conjunction with the optionally available MINI Connected
Package, the digital MINI Connected Store provides access to a
constantly evolving variety of practical and entertaining apps,
including in the area of gaming, music and video streaming. The new
AirConsole app offers a unique form of in-car gaming for all
passengers, turning the user’s smartphone into a game controller on
the OLED display.

The drive.

All-electric and efficient.
The MINI Aceman is
available solely with an all-electric drive, enabling locally
emission-free mobility. The efficient electric motor ensures hallmark
MINI driving fun both in urban areas and on excursions beyond the city
limits. At market launch, the new MINI Aceman will be available in the
MINI Aceman E (electricity consumption combined: 14,7 – 14,1 kWh/100
km according to WLTP; CO2 emissions combined: 0 g/km; CO2-class: A;
Range in km according to WLTP: 298 - 309) version and also as the MINI
Aceman SE (electricity consumption combined: 14,8 – 14,0 kWh/100 km
according to WLTP; CO2 emissions combined: 0 g/km; CO2-class: A; Range
in km according to WLTP: 382 – 405) with increased output.

The 135 kW/184 hp electric motor of the MINI Aceman E generates a
torque of 290 Nm, accelerating the car from standstill to 100 km/h in
7.9 seconds and reaching a top speed of 160 km/h. With an output of
160 kW/218 hp, the MINI Aceman SE generates a torque of 330 Nm,
enabling the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.1 seconds
and reach a top speed of 170 km/h.

With an energy content of 42.5 kWh, the battery of the MINI Aceman E
achieves a range of 309 kilometres in the WLTP test cycle. The
high-voltage battery of the MINI Aceman SE has an energy content of
54.2 kWh, giving it a range of 405 kilometres according to the WLTP.

Sporty agility and outstanding driving
dynamics.
Its chassis gives the new MINI Aceman a sporty
character, and this is also reflected in the driving fun that is
typical of the brand. The tyres with a diameter of 654 mm give the
vehicle a more powerful visual presence, enhancing driving dynamics
and ride comfort in equal measure. The Aceman is equipped with a
precise damping system that features highly prestressed stabilisers:
these improve steering precision and accuracy while at the same time
ensuring sound roll support. The precise adjustment of the steering
and all driving stability control systems to either comfortable or
sporty driving guarantees an exceptional driving experience in every
situation. The response of the electric drive to pressure on the
accelerator pedal is optimised for a sporty driving style.

Meanwhile, agile and dynamic handling is emphasised by the direct
steering, with a rack ratio of 59.5 mm rack travel per turn of the
steering wheel. Combined with a short and firm feel when braking, the
integrated braking system increases ride comfort by means of reliable
stabilisation. In conjunction with the numerous driver assistance
systems, short braking distances increase safety.

The MINI Experience Modes with various suspension set-ups are
available for a customised driving experience, while driving fun can
be intensified by adjusting the steering response and also specially
calibrated intervention limits for the traction control.

Quick and easy: charging the battery.
The
battery of the MINI Aceman can be charged via alternating current with
11 kW. Fast charging with direct current is possible in the MINI
Aceman E with 75 kW and in the Aceman SE with up to 95 kW. At a fast
charging station, this allows the battery to be charged from 10 per
cent to 80 per cent in just under 30 minutes. When MINI Navigation is
activated, the high-voltage battery can be set to the ideal
temperature for efficient charging in advance, depending on weather
conditions. This significantly reduces charging time, especially in
cold outdoor temperatures.

For a transparent and simple charging process, the customer can
optimise vehicle battery charging by means of easy-to-understand
setting options. The start time for charging can be selected or a
specific time window for charging can be set, for example. A precise
target level for battery capacity can be determined in advance, too.
For a particularly pleasant start, charging can be set to be completed
by a selected departure time, and the vehicle interior can be
air-conditioned to the desired temperature by this time. The MINI App
provides a convenient overview of the charging process, even if the
customer is not near the vehicle. This provides details of the current
battery status, a charging-optimised route plan, and charging history
to date – including all costs and savings.

Munich/Beijing. MINI fans can look forward to the
18th Beijing International Automotive Exhibition 2024. From April 25
to May 4, MINI will be presenting the new generation of the new MINI
Family at the China International Exhibition Center in Beijing. As
part of the Chinese motor show with the theme “New Era, New Cars,”
MINI is celebrating the world premiere of the first-ever MINI Aceman.
With its independent, all-electric vehicle concept, the MINI Aceman
occupies the position between the MINI Cooper and the MINI Countryman.

Together with the electric MINI Cooper in both power levels “E” and
“SE” and the MINI John Cooper Works Countryman ALL4 with intelligent
all-wheel drive, MINI is presenting the range of its new product
portfolio at the Auto China 2024.

Auto China has been held in Beijing every two years since 1990. On
more than 200,000 square meters of exhibition space, over 700
exhibitors present their portfolio in what is currently the world's
largest automotive market.

The MINI Cooper: Maximum emotion in a minimal footprint.
With a fully electric drive, the MINI Cooper is available as
Cooper E and with higher performance and range Cooper SE. Together
with the octagonal front grille, the iconic round headlights define
the distinctive face of the all-electric vehicle. As with the entire
new model family, four vehicle trims (Essential, Classic, Favoured,
JCW Trim) are available for the MINI Cooper.

At Auto China 2024, MINI presents the Cooper E in Favoured Trim. The
exclusive exterior details of the equipment variant are expressively
showcased in Sunny Side Yellow with contrasting roof and mirror caps
in white. The MINI Cooper E impresses with 135 kW/184 hp and thrilling
acceleration without delay. The battery of the MINI Cooper E (combined
power consumption: 14.3-13.8 kWh/100 km according to WLTP; combined
CO2 emissions: 0 g/km; CO2 class: A) achieves a range of 305
kilometers in the WLTP test cycle with a capacity of 40.7 kWh. 28
minutes of charging time at 75 kW is enough to charge the MINI Cooper
E battery from 10 percent to 80 percent.

Electrified go-kart feeling with increased range.
In the MINI Cooper SE (combined power consumption: 14.7 — 14.1
kWh/
100 km according to WLTP; combined CO 2
emissions: 0 g/km; CO2 class: A), the spontaneous power delivery of
the 160 kW/218 hp electric motor creates even more emotions. The
high-voltage battery with a capacity of 54.2 kWh achieves a range of
up to 402 kilometers in the WLTP test cycle.

At Auto China 2024, the MINI Cooper SE in British Racing Green is a
reminiscent of the racing successes of its classic predecessor.
In Classic Trim, the two-tone black and blue knit surface on the
dashboard and doors provides an elegant contrast to the high-quality
seats made of vescin. The interior of the MINI Cooper is based on the
new MINI design language “Charismatic Simplicity.”
The round
OLED display, the characteristic toggle switch bar and the redesigned
steering wheel characterize the minimalistic look of the cockpit.

At its booth in Beijing, MINI also presents the Cooper SE
in
John Cooper Works Trim. The red contrasting roof adds a characteristic
highlight to the Legend Grey shade. Exclusive design features such as
the distinctive diffusers in the front and rear areas, the radiator
grille and the JCW logo in high-gloss black emphasize the sporty
character of the trim. In the interior, JCW sports seats with
multi-colored knitwear and black synthetic leather with red stitching
reflect the color scheme of the dashboard and door panel.

The MINI John Cooper Works Countryman ALL4:
Powerful
versatility even off paved roads.
Also in Beijing: The largest MINI. With standard ALL4 all-wheel
drive and 221 kW/300 hp high-performance engine, the MINI John Cooper
Works Countryman ALL4 (combined fuel consumption: 8.3 — 7.8 l/100 km
in accordance with WLTP; combined CO 2 emissions: 187 — 177
g/km; CO2 class: A) sprints from standstill to 100 km/h in just 5.4 seconds.

The typical JCW, contrasting chili red on the mirror caps, the roof
and the inlays on the air outlets, together with the shiny Midnight
Black shade, accentuate the sportiness of the model. The interior of
the versatile MINI model offers plenty of space.
This means that
even bulky items can be transported in the luggage compartment with a
volume of up to 1,450 liters when the bench is folded down.

The MINI Experience Modes are available for particularly immersive
driving experiences. In addition to specific graphic elements on the
OLED display, MINI fans can experience the entire interior in a
new way through special lighting graphics in different colors and patterns.

Whether MINI Cooper, MINI Aceman or MINI Countryman — the new MINI
Family combines the MINI typical driving pleasure with efficient drive
technologies and numerous options for customization.

Fuel consumption, CO2 emission figures and power consumption and
range were measured using the methods required according to Regulation
VO (EC) 2007/715 as amended. They refer to vehicles on the German
automotive market. For ranges, the NEDC figures take into account
differences in the selected wheel and tire size, while the WLTP
figures take into account the effects of any optional equipment.

All figures have already been calculated based on the new WLTP test
cycle. NEDC figures listed have been adjusted to the NEDC measurement
method where applicable. WLTP values are used as a basis for the
assessment of taxes and other vehicle-related duties which are (also)
based on CO2 emissions and, where applicable, for the purposes of
vehicle-specific subsidies. Further information on the WLTP and NEDC
measurement procedures is also available at www.bmw.de/wltp.

For further details of the official fuel consumption figures and
official specific CO2 emissions of new cars, please refer to the
“Manual on the fuel consumption, CO2 emissions and power consumption
of new cars”, available at sales outlets free of charge, from Deutsche
Automobil Treuhand GmbH (DAT), Hellmuth-Hirth-Str. 1, 73760

Equipped exclusively with an all-electric drivetrain, the model expands the MINI range with a new attractive vehicle. With agile driving dynamics and brand-typical proportions, the crossover model combines the features of the two most successful MINI models, the MINI Cooper and the MINI Countryman, to create a new vehicle concept.</pp:summary>

Munich. On its way to series production, the new
model currently must prove itself under extremely high temperatures on
sandy desert roads. With an length of 4,075 mm, a width of 1,754 mm and
a height of 1,495 mm, the MINI Aceman occupies the position between
the MINI Cooper and the MINI Countryman. The third stand-alone model
in the new all-electric MINI family is equipped with four doors and a
large tailgate. Its interior can accommodate five passengers.

“The all-electric MINI Aceman opens new opportunities for customers
who want a smaller crossover than our successful MINI Countryman. The
consistent electrification of our product portfolio makes a clear
statement about the future of the MINI brand,” says Stefanie Wurst,
head of MINI.

Tested under extreme conditions.

After the MINI Aceman has already successfully completed tests at the
Arctic Circle, the crossover model is completing final testing in the
desert in strong sunlight and heat. In addition to classic features
such as driving dynamics and driving comfort, the test team is
focusing on the demanding aspects of an electric vehicle. For this
purpose, the air conditioning, charging and cooling of the battery,
drive and control devices are intensively tested at up to 50° Celsius
in dusty desert sand.

Fully electric and efficient.

The new MINI Aceman will only be available fully electric. Its
battery size is 54.2 kWh. Thanks to the purely electric drive concept,
the agile MINI crossover takes up little space on the road and offers
a high level of comfort and versatility. The design of the newly
developed model is in line with the brand's basic principle: plenty of
interior space with the smallest possible external dimensions, agile
driving characteristics and efficiency. Behind this is the functional
two-box design with short overhangs. This creates maximum space for
five passengers and luggage on a minimal floor space.
