Munich. MINI and Paul Smith bring together what defines both brands: iconic form, meticulous detailing, and the freedom to reinterpret classic design with unexpected twists. The MINI Paul Smith Edition translates the designer’s signature style into a distinctive edition for the MINI Cooper family—recognisable through characteristic accents both inside and out. The edition is now readily available for the MINI Cooper 3‑Door (electric and petrol), the MINI Cooper 5‑Door, and the MINI Cooper Convertible.

Details with a British twist

Three exterior colours are available for the edition, including two exclusives. Statement Grey reinterprets the 1959 Mini Austin Seven shade in a contemporary way - a clean grey with a subtle blue hue. Inspired White echoes the beloved beige of the classic Mini in a modern tone. Completing the palette is Midnight Black Metallic, an elegant black from the current MINI colour range.

Defining the look are striking contrasts between body, roof, and accent colours, combined with the signature Paul Smith stripes. Door mirrors, the radiator grille surround, and wheel hub caps stand out across all models in Nottingham Green - a nod to the British designer’s hometown.

For the hard-top models, two edition-specific roof finishes are available: Nottingham Green or a more understated black with matte and gloss tone-on-tone striping.

Inside, the MINI Paul Smith Edition pairs British understatement with creative details. Vescin/knit upholstery in Nightshade Blue meets black knitted surfaces with subtle tone-on-tone stripes. A “Hello” projection when opening the door, the “Every day is a new beginning” inscription on the door sill, and the signature stripe textile element on the 6 o’clock spoke of the sport steering wheel add distinctive touches. A hand-drawn “Rabbit” graphic on the floor mat completes the characteristically British sense of humour.

Munich/Milan. Presenting A Garden of Curiosity – an immersive installation cocreated by MINI and Paul Smith for the Salone del Mobile. Set in the historic Palazzo Borromeo d’Adda in Milan, A Garden of Curiosity adds yet another highlight to the rich history the collaborators already share. Connected by their British heritage and iconic designs, the two design houses come together to celebrate optimism, curiosity and innovative spirit. The installation combines Paul Smith’s signature use of colour with the eye for detail for which MINI is renowned and invites visitors to explore and enjoy the playful world of design. 

“Paul Smith and MINI complement one another perfectly, as our collaboration for this project demonstrates once again. We are united by the joy of design, and our shared enthusiasm for craftsmanship, innovation and individuality makes A Garden of Curiosity an experience full of colour, sound and expression,” said Holger Hampf, Head of MINI Design.

Visitors immerse themselves in colour and sound: an experience for all the senses

Set amid the enchanted garden of the Palazzo Borromeo d’Adda, the installation is accessed via a wooden footbridge that takes visitors across the courtyard and through a red door. The door represents a symbolic invitation to look and see. On the other side is the green space created by MINI and Paul Smith. It consists of pathways that are lined with plants and grasses and lead to open platforms and cubic installations. The iconic Paul Smith Signature Stripe runs discreetly through the garden as a recurring design element. Architecture, textures, colour and sound converge to create sensory experiences. 

Interactive theme rooms

The Colour Theory Room acts as a visual intersection between Paul Smith’s signature colour palette and the colours of the new MINI Paul Smith Edition. Visitors can arrange colour samples on an interactive wall, the overall picture changing constantly throughout the day with each new personal design. In keeping with the philosophy of Sir Paul, the wall also gives visitors the opportunity to experiment with colour combinations.  

The Listening Room builds on this experience with Sir Paul’s voice recordings, highlighting the importance of colour theory. Another open platform invites visitors to experience the space with all their senses, allowing them to consciously enjoy a moment away from the hustle and bustle of Milan.

Adding the joy of discovery to the installation, the new MINI Cooper Convertible Paul Smith Edition is waiting to be found and invites visitors to take a closer look. Its appearance and details not only reflect Paul Smith’s distinctive style, but also capture the brand’s playful, optimistic and independent spirit. This exclusive highlight of the installation merges into the charming overall scene.

Heritage meets curiosity

Walking through the courtyard to the installation, visitors are immersed in the history of MINI and Paul Smith. Here, they can explore three cars from the collaboration between the two companies, which stretches back to 1998: the Paul Smith 40th Anniversary Mini, the MINI STRIP by Paul Smith and another MINI Cooper from the latest Edition. The specially created colour Nottingham Green adds stylish accents to the Edition’s mirror caps, octagonal radiator grille and wheel hub covers with Paul Smith lettering. A selection of others details also reflect the distinctive style of Paul Smith and ensure this MINI Edition captures the essence of ‘classic with a twist’. 

The Paul Smith 40th Anniversary Mini: A one-off car from 1999, whose bodywork morphed into a living work of art with 86 stripes in 26 colours. The interior also contained surprising use of colour (e.g. the lime green glove compartment) and highlighted Paul Smith’s playful style.

The MINI STRIP by Paul Smith: Another one-of-a-kind creation, the MINI STRIP of 2021 – based on the MINI Cooper  – was reduced to the essentials, as per the principle of ‘less is more’. The minimalist design put the focus on construction and function, with the aim of showcasing a new-at-the-time, responsible approach to design.

A Garden of Curiosity will be open on 21 – 26 April 2026 as part of the Salone del Mobile in Milan. It can be visited in the House of MINI at Via A. Manzoni 41 each day between 10.00 a.m. and 7.00 p.m.

London / Munich. Paul Smith and MINI – two traditional British brands have taken their partnership to the next level and created something great: The new MINI Paul Smith Edition. Following the MINI STRIP in 2021 and the MINI Recharged by Paul Smith in 2022, the British designer is now bringing his world-famous design language – ‘classic with a twist’ - to the MINI Cooper 3-door, 5-door and MINI Cooper Convertible for the first edition of the new MINI family. The look and details not only show Paul Smith’s signature style - but also the brands playful, optimistic and independent spirit. The MINI Paul Smith Edition celebrates its world premiere on October 29 at Japan Mobility in Tokyo.

Unmistakable look with a British twist.

Combining MINI design with Paul Smith’s distinctive style: Exclusive exterior colours, sophisticated accents and unexpected details bring the shared history of MINI and Paul Smith into the present.

The MINI Paul Smith Edition offers a choice of three exterior paint finishes, two of which are edition-exclusive: Statement Grey is a modern interpretation of the classic MINI Austin Seven colour from 1959 – a clear, bluish-tinted grey shade and self-confident statement of timeless modernity. Inspired White is a contemporary homage to the popular Classic Mini Beige colour, and finally the elegant and classic Midnight Black Metallic from the current MINI Family.

Regardless of body paint, a specially created colour - Nottingham Green, an homage to Sir Paul’s hometown - creates sophisticated accents on the contrasting side mirrors, the octagonal radiator grille and as a paint finish for one of the two roof colour variants.

In addition to the colour variants, numerous details characterise Paul Smith's signature and make the MINI Paul Smith Edition unmistakable: The ‘Signature Stripe’, a central design feature of the British designer, adorns the roof in Nottingham Green at the rear of the driver's side. The alternative version of the roof in Jet Black features elegant black stripes in varying thickness, both matte and glossy. The MINI Cooper Convertible Paul Smith Edition is supplied with a black soft top.

All edition vehicles are equipped with 18-inch Night Spoke aluminium wheels with tinted clear coat in Dark Steel, with the Paul Smith lettering.  The MINI logo at the front and rear is offered in newly designed Black Blue and complements the colour composition of Paul Smith and MINI. On the boot handle, Paul Smith’s signature refers to the creative spirit behind the vehicles design.

British restraint and elegance in the interior.

British character is also reflected in the interior with numerous components featuring a modern, elegant look. The knitted surfaces on the dashboard and door panels appear in black, while Paul Smith fabrics in tone-on-tone stripe patterns served as inspiration for the special design of the dashboard. The Nightshade Blue sports seats are made of Vescin and have knitted textile in the shoulder and headrest. Drawn from the Signature Stripe, the decorative stitching on the steering wheel's textile band is designed in bright colours - quintessentially Paul Smith.

The round display in the centre of the cockpit also appears with one of three different Paul Smith backgrounds when Personal Mode is selected. Small hidden details underline the British design influence - but also the playful character of the designer: when the door is opened, the driver and front passenger are greeted with a handwritten ‘Hello’ as a light projection on the floor and Smith's motto ‘Everyday is a new beginning’ on the door sill, reflecting the positive mindset of both brands.  A graphic of a small stylized ‘rabbit’ hand-drawn by Paul Smith on the floor mat complete the interior details.

A collaboration that blends British heritage, bold creativity and contemporary sophistication.

MINI and Sir Paul Smith: two icons that are not only linked by their British heritage but also look back on exclusive collaborations resulting in unique styling. Their joint creative success story began in 1998, when the designer created a limited edition of the classic Mini: a specially created blue colour and matching anthracite-coloured alloy wheels lent the iconic model the signature of Paul Smith.

To mark the 40th birthday of the classic MINI in 1999, the fashion designer dipped an exclusive one-off in his characteristic stripe design, using 86 stripes in 26 colours.

In 2021, the MINI STRIP celebrated its world premiere: a vehicle designed using only what Paul Smith considered absolutely necessary. The result was a customised one-off car that despite its minimalist design and in keeping with Smith's guiding principle of ‘classic with a twist’, was not without unexpected and loving details.

In 2022, Paul Smith went back to the roots of the collaboration with the MINI Recharged by Paul Smith. A classic found its way into the now: a Classic Mini from the 1998 MINI Paul Smith Edition was transformed into a modernised electric vehicle. With a focus on quality, sustainability and functionality, a contemporary driving concept was created that can also be seen as a tribute to the tradition and heritage of the classic MINI.

But it is not only Sir Paul Smith who inspires MINI with creative ideas - the inspiration also works in reverse: the designer repeatedly uses MINI as a motif on exclusive pieces in his collections. Munich / Tokyo. The Japan Mobility Show 2025 becomes the stage for the latest milestone in the long-standing collaboration between MINI and British designer Paul Smith. It will be unveiled as part of the BMW Group Keynote on 29 October 2025 at 09:55 (JST) at the BMW Group stand, based in the West Exhibition Hall of the show.

MINI and Paul Smith: A creative success story.

The MINI Paul Smith Edition is a new chapter in the success story of the two British brands. The long-lasting relationship began in 1998, when the designer wrapped a Classic Mini Cooper in his trademark visual design. To mark the 40th anniversary of the Classic Mini in 1999, the designer lent his characteristic Paul Smith "Signature Stripe" to a one-off model. After two further one-offs - the MINI Strip in 2021 and the MINI Recharged by Paul Smith in 2022 - Paul Smith's design language returns to MINI.

As part of the BMW Group stand at the Japan Mobility Show, MINI is presenting the diverse range of its current product portfolio. The MINI Cooper family is represented by showcasing the MINI Cooper SE, which combines heritage, technology and driving pleasure. The latest model in the MINI family presents itself as a versatile companion and not only demonstrates MINIs typical "Clever Use of Space" - but also brings a powerful driving experience to the road as a performance-enhanced version thanks to 258 hp produced from the 54.2 kWh electric battery. Finally, the MINI Countryman S ALL 4 will also be present on the BMW Group stand at the Japan Mobility Show: as the largest of the MINI family, the car offers generous space and fits in perfectly for those looking for longer adventures and spontaneous exploring.

The MINI Cooper Convertible is the perfect companion for open-air driving adventures. The fully electric roof, which opens in just 18 seconds even at speeds of up to 30 km/h, enables a summery open-air feeling while driving. Innovative assistance systems provide additional safety:The Driving Assistant Plus package includes an additional Steering and Lane Assistant to support the driver. The Professional Parking Assistant uses cameras and ultrasonic sensors to identify free parking spaces and can initiate parking maneuvers automatically.

Seven MINI Experience Modes allow for individual accents in the interior: While the Gokart Mode with a sporty look of the dashboard and special displays for driving dynamics emphasizes the racing DNA of MINI, the Green Mode optimizes consumption and emissions without sacrificing the typical driving fun. The Personal Mode takes it even further: A personal photo brings a unique look to the digital cockpit - the lighting adapts accordingly.

The folded soft top opens up the view of the minimalist interior design of the convertible. It focuses on clearly accentuated interior details and textile surfaces. The steering wheel, the classic, newly designed toggle bar, and the central OLED display form the three main elements of the interior.

Highlighted details in the Favoured Trim underline the sporty-elegant appearance of the MINI Cooper Cabrio. The dashboard is upholstered with a fine grey-beige textile with a houndstooth pattern, which is also found in the knitted door panels. The JCW sports seats made of perforated synthetic leather and distinctive accent seams with lateral support ensure seating comfort while driving.

Innovation and functionality are combined in the central display of the cockpit. The clearly structured user interface enables intuitive interaction between the driver and the central instrument.

The Open-Top Four-Seater attracts all eyes and delights with its agile handling and expressive highlights. While clearly defined surfaces and fresh accents in the exterior characterise the puristic design of the MINI Cooper Convertible. On its trip to Barcelona, the new MINI Cooper Cabrio shines in the elegant shade of Copper Grey. The convertible-specific metallic paint glistens in the Spanish sun. Thanks to the sunroof function and the ability to fully open the fully automatic roof at speeds of up to 30 km/h in just 18 seconds, a unique open-air experience is guaranteed. The roof folds compactly, providing comfortable storage space in the trunk of 160 liters even when folded. When the roof is closed, this increases to 215 liters. The integrated "Always-Open Timer" counts the moments of fresh air travelled with the roof down on the round central instrument.

The MINI Cooper Cabrio S is powered by an efficient 4-cylinder petrol engine with 150 kW/204 hp. This allows the MINI Cooper Cabrio to reach a top speed of 237 km/h.

It's that time of year again - Christmas is almost here! The new MINI family has something for everyone this festive season, including the distinctive MINI Cooper Convertible and the versatile MINI Countryman. The MINI Cooper Convertible S is the ideal companion for excursions through snow-covered winter landscapes. You can enjoy the fresh air and sunshine with the top down, true to the motto "Always Open". The MINI Countryman S ALL4 is the perfect choice for those with a need for more space. With a luggage compartment capacity ranging from 450 litres to 1,450 litres, the compact SUV not only offers plenty of room for ski equipment and luggage, but also a spacious interior that comfortably accommodates families. The MINI Countryman handles winter conditions with ease and gets you to your destination safely thanks to its four-wheel drive. The MINI Countryman's high level of occupant and pedestrian safety was confirmed in early December when the MINI Countryman received the highest possible five-star rating in the Euro NCAP crash test.

MINI can look back on an eventful year. With the MINI Cooper 3-door, MINI Cooper 5-door, MINI Cooper Convertible and MINI Countryman, four models have been completely renewed. The family was joined by a new member: the MINI Aceman. The progressive crossover model closes the gap between the MINI Cooper and the MINI Countryman. The MINI Aceman is offered exclusively as an all-electric model, while the MINI Cooper family is available with a combustion engine, and the MINI Cooper SE and E are also available with all-electric drive. The MINI Countryman offers a particularly wide choice of powertrains, with five different electric and combustion drives.

Numerous awards worldwide underline the success of the new MINI models. Today MINI Plant Oxford celebrates the start of production of the MINI Cooper Convertible for the first time since 2015. The model joins the MINI Cooper 3-Door and MINI Cooper 5-Door, making MINI Plant Oxford the home of the MINI Cooper family.

Announced last month, the fourth generation MINI Cooper Convertible includes a completely new interior and exterior design, as well as a state-of-the-art digital experience.

“We are thrilled about the start of production of the MINI Convertible, which is now being produced again at the Oxford plant, the home of MINI. Unique in its class, the MINI Convertible offers unparalleled, brand-typical driving fun, combined with boundless freedom and great emotions: The iconic design combined with modern technology and connectivity makes this vehicle an unmatched open-air experience for our customers," says Stefan Richmann, Head of MINI.

Three UK BMW Group manufacturing sites contribute to the MINI Cooper Convertible. BMW Group Plant Swindon produces the body pressings and sub-assemblies while the latest four-cylinder petrol engines are built at BMW Group Plant Hams Hall in North Warwickshire. Finally, these parts come together at MINI Plant Oxford where body shell production, paint and final assembly take place.

Following the relaunch of the MINI brand in 2001, the first MINI Convertible was unveiled in 2004 and has remained an icon of the MINI family ever since.

With 160,000 vehicles built at MINI Plant Oxford from 2004 to 2008, the first-generation MINI Convertible was known for its retro styling and iconic chrome roll-over arches behind the rear seats. The second generation, unveiled in 2009 with 165,000 built at MINI Plant Oxford until 2015, kept the iconic drop-down hinged boot but gained the evolved styling of the Cooper from that era.

Production of the model was briefly moved to VDL Nedcar for the third generation, making room for the MINI Clubman at MINI Plant Oxford. Over 150,000 Convertible models were produced at Nedcar until production stopped in 2023, before production returned to MINI Plant Oxford.

MINI Plant Oxford celebrated its 110^th anniversary in 2023, the same year the Plant produced over 20% of all UK manufactured cars. As one of the oldest automotive plants in the world, MINI Plant Oxford has been in continuous production since 1913.

The new MINI Cooper Convertible. 

Munich. The new generation of the MINI Cooper Convertible rounds off the current MINI family with a model that is full of unique features. MINI presents the new convertible model that perfectly embodies the brand's openness. "Always Open" - this traditional claim of the MINI Convertible aptly describes the model’s philosophy. The folding roof opens fully automatically in just 18 seconds, allowing the driver to enjoy the breeze and sunshine at all times. Whether in the city, on country roads or on the highway, the MINI Convertible offers pure freedom and unmistakable driving pleasure.

The open-top four-seater combines space-saving proportions with fascinating open-air driving fun. With the MINI Cooper Convertible, one of the most emotional models in the new MINI family returns to the MINI plant in Oxford - the home of the British premium brand.

For an extra dose of sunshine, the fully automatic soft top can be opened in two ways: either like a sunroof or fully retracted. This is still unique in the premium small car segment. The soft top disappears behind the rear seats to save space and can also be conveniently stowed in the luggage compartment when folded down.

In the new MINI Cooper Convertible, open-air fans can enjoy every moment, even with the soft top folded back. MINI is using the Always Open Timer again for exactly this purpose. On the OLED display of the central instrument, this shows the open travel time traveled by the minute and thus offers fresh air fans a dose of playful ease.

Three efficient four-cylinder petrol engines deliver the brand's signature go-kart feel with an impressive engine sound. Like the new MINI Cooper, the convertible is available in C and S versions as well as in performance-oriented version. 

The design emphasises the character of the new MINI Cooper Convertible with clean surfaces and accentuated details. Round LED headlights and a redesigned front grille emphasise the model's charismatic appearance with classic design features in a modern interpretation. A variety of exterior and interior paint finishes and fresh accents lend the new Convertible the brand's signature design highlights. Three vehicle trims offer additional options for customising the MINI Cooper Convertible.

The fully automatic soft top can be activated at the touch of a button and can also be fully retracted at speeds of up to 30 km/h. When the roof is closed, the sunroof function can be used at any time with an opening length of up to 40 centimetres. A wind deflector between the cockpit and the rear optimises airflow for a carefree open-air feeling at all four seats. Innovative driver assistance systems make driving the MINI Cooper Convertible even safer and more comfortable. A significant increase in digital technologies creates new possibilities for personalising the interior and simplifies the use of smartphones and apps. 

The exterior.
Charismatic convertible with purist design.
Compact proportions, short overhangs and now bigger 620 mm diameter wheels give the MINI Cooper Convertible plenty of agility and manoeuvrability for maximum driving fun. With its focused expression, the front end signals openness and shapes the charismatic character of the new MINI Cooper Convertible with high recognition value. Newly designed exterior details enhance the striking appearance of the model, which is unique in the premium small car segment.

The shoulder line continues into the lower part of the black soft top. This separates the surrounding window area from the cleanly designed body. This three-part exterior is typical of the brand. It makes the MINI Cooper Convertible an unmistakable original. The woven fabric soft top is available in black and optional with a grey Union Jack, a nod to the brand's British origins.

Hallmark design with expressive highlights.
The front end of the MINI Cooper Convertible shows the typical face of the brand with its iconic round headlights and the newly designed front grille. The octagonal-shaped surround encompasses the wide air inlets in either Vibrant Silver or high-gloss Jet Black.

Standard LED headlights with light signatures are available in three versions to emphasise the car's character. A specially orchestrated welcome and goodbye animation with MINI logo projections on the floor of the driver's and passenger's side enhances the emotional connection to the MINI Cooper Convertible even before you get in.

From the side, the clean lines of the sporty body are characterised by the striking contrast between the short overhangs and the long wheelbase. The reduced design of the body emphasises the elegant impression of the vehicle's silhouette and gives the MINI Cooper Convertible a generous appearance despite its small exterior dimensions of 3,879 mm in length, 1,431 mm in height and 1,744 mm in width. To match the unmistakable driving fun, the new MINI Convertible is available with aerodynamically optimised wheel designs in sizes ranging from 16 to 18 inches, depending on the model variant.

The rear view is characterised by the flush design of the vertically aligned LED rear lights. The rear section is divided by a black handle strip with striking model badge, whose horizontal alignment emphasises the MINI Cooper Convertible's wide stance.

Fully automatic fabric soft top for safe driving fun.
The high-quality soft top protects the occupants in all weathers. Thanks to its electric and extremely quiet drive, the folding roof can be fully opened in 18 seconds, even at speeds of up to 30 km/h. At the same time, the window bars and side windows are lowered to provide a completely unobstructed view of the surroundings. The soft top closes in 15 seconds at the touch of a button. For fresh air at all times, the sunroof can be opened to a length of 40 centimetres, regardless of speed. 

Concealed behind the headrests at the rear of the MINI Cooper Convertible, the integrated rollover protection system is activated automatically as soon as the central safety electronics detect a risk of rollover.

When the soft top is open, the MINI Cooper Convertible has a luggage compartment volume of 160 litres thanks to a particularly space-saving folding system for the soft top, when the soft top is closed, this expands to 215 liters. To maximise the loading height of the luggage compartment, the storage area behind the rear seats can be raised using two locking handles. The tailgate opens downwards to facilitate loading, demonstrating once again the versatility of the MINI Cooper Convertible. The wind deflector behind the driver and passenger seats can be easily locked in place. It reduces wind noise and unwanted air turbulence when driving with the roof open.

A dozen body finishes and three individual trims.
Twelve paint finishes are available for the new MINI Cooper Convertible, including the exclusive and elegant Copper Grey. Optional mirror caps in Jet Black and Glazed White make a strong statement. Three different trims further enhance the Convertible's sporty-elegant individuality. The Classic Trim features a black-trimmed front grille for maximum clarity. The Favoured Trim front grille version is in Vibrant Silver grille with a choice of 17-inch or 18-inch wheels.

The JCW Trim gives the MINI Cooper Convertible an extremely sporty appearance. This equipment variant inspired by motorsports has its very own distinctive front and rear design. The front grille surround and JCW logo are finished in high-gloss black. The rear section is muscular in shape and the all-round trim is finished in high-gloss black.

The interior.
Minimalist, open feel that makes you feel at home.
The interior design of the new MINI Cooper Convertible focuses on minimalist details and textile surfaces. This is part of the new "Charismatic Simplicity" design language of the entire MINI family with fewer components, clever design and high-quality workmanship. Three key elements structure the cockpit: A sporty steering wheel, the central OLED display and the classic, newly designed toggle switch bar.

Directly behind the steering wheel, the Head-up Display projects all relevant information into the driver's field of vision. This means that the dashboard on the driver's side does not require an additional instrument panel and, in keeping with the open-top driving fun, allows a clear view to the front.  The textile surfaces in the cockpit are based on a newly developed knitted material and create a pleasant atmosphere. The two-tone fabric is made from recycled polyester and has an easy-care texture.

Comfortable seats for the driver and front passenger add to the modern, airy feel of the well-designed cockpit. There is a choice of grey or black seats in a combination of artificial leather and textile silhouette in blue. The JCW sport seats are available in beige and Nightshade Blue synthetic leather with contrasting stitching. In the JCW Trim, the sport seats are upholstered in black leather with multicoloured knitted fabric on the shoulders and red stitching.

High-resolution OLED display with touch function.
The new central instrument in the cockpit of the MINI Cooper Convertible combines innovative technologies in an extremely flat design. The high-quality 240 mm diameter glass surface allows the driver and front passenger to operate all vehicle functions conveniently by touch or voice. The innovative MINI Operating System 9 simplifies connectivity and brings apps and digital content from the smartphone to the display. This turns the MINI Interaction Unit into both a comfort and experience centre. 

Thanks to advanced OLED technology, the contents of the display are high-contrast and easy to see, even with the soft top open and in bright sunlight. Speed is displayed at the top of the screen, and tapping on the speed display opens a large full-screen speedometer that focuses on the driving experience. The other widgets are shown in thumbnail view in the Home menu, to the left and right of the current menu function. These can be moved to the centre and selected by means of a horizontal swiping movement. In the lower area of the OLED display, the menu items Navigation, Media, Telephone and Climate can be selected directly at any time.

MINI Experience Modes create immersive driving experiences.
Seven MINI Experience Modes can be selected to change the interior ambience and highlight different aspects of the MINI Cooper Convertible - even with the top down. The design of the OLED display changes depending on the selected setting and focusses on specially designed driving experiences. In Go-Kart Mode there is a highly dynamic focus on MINI’s racing DNA, for example. The display as well as the dashboard and the interior door panels are then dominated by the colours anthracite and red, while specific analogue displays for driving dynamics complement this John Cooper Works-inspired MINI Experience Mode.

To achieve this, two projector units behind the round instrument panel beam special illuminated graphics with different patterns and colours onto the dashboard when the top is closed. Changes are made to the colour scheme of the light patterns and to the ambient lighting in the entire interior depending on the Experience Mode selected.

Personal Mode offers innovative options for a particularly personalised cockpit design. In this mode, a personal photo can be uploaded via the MINI app and chosen as the display background. A digital colour picker then identifies the dominant colours of the photo for projection onto the textile dashboard surfaces. The ambient lighting under the dashboard and in the door mirror is also colour-coded to match these projections.

Modern classic: Newly designed toggle switch bar.
The toggle switch bar in the centre of the cockpit is a classic and typical MINI feature. It emphasises the emotional bond between driver and car through its characteristic feel. In the modern cockpit of the MINI Cooper Convertible, this authentic feature brings the brand's history into the present with a new design. Five individually designed toggle switches provide direct access to the MINI Cooper Convertible's most important driving functions (parking brake, gear selector, start/stop button, Experience Mode toggle, volume control). This eliminates the need for an additional gear selector and provides additional stowage space in the centre console. In addition to the cup holders, smartphones can be easily stored on a separate shelf while being charged via wireless charging.

Individual trims for the interior.
Three interior trim options are available for the MINI Cooper Convertible. Each conveys the contemporary feel-good concept of the interior of the vehicle in a different way. 

In the Classic Trim, the three-spoke steering wheel has a leather-look textile band with coloured accent stitching. In addition, a black and blue knitted surface on the instrument panel and doors provides a rich contrast to the seats, which are available in premium fabric or Vescin synthetic leather.

In the Favoured Trim, the interior has a strikingly expressive design. The instrument panel is upholstered in grey-beige houndstooth fabric. The knitted surface in the door panels continues the friendly interior design. JCW sport seats with additional side noticeably enhance comfort. These are made of perforated synthetic leather with classic accent stitching and an embroidered MINI logo in two colours.

The MINI Cooper Convertible's interior is showcased in maximum sporting style with the JCW Trim. Combined with multi-coloured knitted fabric and black synthetic leather with red stitching, the colour scheme echoes that of the dashboard and door trims. The JCW sport steering wheel replaces the six o'clock spoke with a black leather band with red stitching to match the trim-specific colour scheme.

The drive.
Three efficient four-cylinder petrol engines.
There is a choice of three advanced two-litre petrol engines for the new MINI Cooper Convertible. All have four cylinders and accelerate the fun of open-air excursions. The entry-level model is the MINI Cooper C Convertible (combined fuel consumption: The performance-enhanced fuel consumption combined: 6.6 - 6.5 l/100 km; CO2 emissions combined: 149 - 147 g/km according to WLTP; CO2 class: E) with a power output of 120 kW/163 hp and a maximum torque of 250 Nm. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.2 seconds. The top speed is 220 km/h.

The performance-enhanced MINI Cooper S Convertible (fuel consumption combined: 6.6 - 6.5 l/100 km; CO2 emissions combined: 150 - 148 g/km according to WLTP; CO2 class: E) has a power output of 150 kW/204 hp and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds with a maximum torque of 300 Nm. It has a top speed of 237 km/h.

In addition to these two variants, the performance-oriented JCW model focuses on sportiness and maximum driving pleasure.

Open-air rides with outstanding driving dynamics.
The MINI Cooper Convertible is equipped with a suspension and damping system tuned for agile handling. The MINI typical precise steering also makes the open-top model an attractive cornering artist. It also ensures a high level of safety and comfort.

Highly preloaded anti-roll bar mounts on the axles support the steering precision. This gives the convertible a well-balanced ride when cornering. Selective tuning of the steering and all stability control systems also ensure a safe and exceptional driving experience in all driving situations.

Digital services.
The new MINI Intelligent Personal Assistant.
A spoken "Hey MINI!" activates the first fully-fledged voice assistant of the brand in the MINI Cooper Convertible. Alternatively, the push-to-talk steering wheel button is also available for this purpose. Communication with the virtual travel partner – either a stylised MINI or the character “Spike” – is particularly fluent and intuitive thanks to improved speech recognition. Voice-controlled interaction is supported by animated graphic elements, typography and the avatar on the OLED display. Navigation, telephony, entertainment and numerous vehicle functions can be controlled simply and conveniently by speaking the relevant command.

The MINI Intelligent Personal Assistant learns continuously through dialogue and is able to take on day-to-day tasks on repeated routes. For example, the system uses geospatial data to identify the entrance to the car park and can automatically open the window at the right time. This means that individual routines can be handled more conveniently.

Progressive assistance systems increase safety.
The optional Driving Assistant Plus Package provides the MINI Cooper Convertible with an additional Steering and Lane Assistant for lateral guidance. Adaptable and cooperative steering helps the driver stay on track. The increased comfort provided by the system relieves the driver of monotonous and less demanding aspects of driving. The clear, uncluttered design of the displays and controls and the easy to understand functions contribute to high system reliability.

Thanks to twelve ultrasonic sensors and four Surround View cameras, the Parking Assistant Professional in the MINI Cooper Convertible can detect free parking spaces and initiate parking manoeuvres automatically where space is limited. The Panorama View allows for better visibility of the surrounding area when the view is obscured by other vehicles. For additional control over the MINI, the Remote 3D View allows images to be transferred to a mobile device.

Easy-to-use connectivity and intuitive interaction.
The newly designed user interface in the OLED display of the MINI Cooper Convertible combines functional and emotional elements. Its minimalist design adapts the new graphics to the circular shape of the MINI Interaction Unit, simplifying operation by means of a clear structure. Static and dynamic elements combined with micro-animations ensure that the interaction between the driver and the central instrument is as harmonious and intuitive as possible. In this way, the MINI Operating System 9 gives the MINI Cooper Convertible a distinctly digital character.

In the centre of the screen is the start menu, where a horizontal swiping motion is used to select and start personalised content. At the bottom of the screen is the fixed status bar with the menu items “Navigation”, “Media”, “Telephony”, “All Apps” and, depending on the situation, “Home”, all of which can be selected directly. A so-called toolbelt can be called up by swiping upwards from the bottom edge of the screen. Favourite functions, e.g. navigation destinations and radio stations, can be saved here and accessed quickly at any time, just like on the smartphone. The toolbelt can also be activated via the star button on the multifunction steering wheel. The upper screen area is reserved for driving-related content such as speed and important vehicle status information. The optional Head-up Display presents the most important information directly in the driver’s line of sight.

Depending on the Experience Mode, a single tap on the speed display transforms the entire MINI Interaction Unit into a typical MINI speedometer. The temperature is shown permanently for the driver and front passenger at the left and right-hand edge of the screen. The climate settings are always integrated at the top level of the MINI Interaction Unit and are operated by either touch or voice.

MINI Connected upgrades allow additional driving functions to be activated flexibly at any time, including an optional augmented reality function that is able to visualise complicated turning situations realistically and in three-dimensional display, for example. In conjunction with the optionally available MINI Connected Package, the digital MINI Connected Store provides access to a constantly evolving variety of practical and entertaining apps, including in the areas of gaming, music and video streaming.

Palm Springs. In the middle of the desert and incredibly cool — that's Palm Springs. Countless date palms, hot springs and turquoise-blue swimming pools with views of the surrounding peaks of the Agua Caliente Indian Reservation Park make this place a well-tempered wellness oasis. From October to May, a light breeze from the canyons carries a pleasant cooling breeze to the sunlit city streets. Numerous cafés, bars and resorts invite you to enjoy the incomparable climate and the freedom-loving atmosphere. That's how laissez-faire goes in American.

After the stop, the journey continues towards the national park. The tall date palms line the street and provide cooling shade. They are the calming trademark of the sophisticated city and create a deep green contrast to the wild mountain landscape that surrounds Palm Springs. In the late 19th century, palm trees were imported from the Middle East. Since then, they have been producing sweet dates here under perfect climatic conditions, which are used to prepare delicious shakes in many bars in the city.

MINI Cooper S Convertible: driving pleasure with unobstructed all-round visibility.
On the curved path to the west, the route repeatedly provides fascinating views of the numerous canyons. The automatic sports transmission of the MINI Cooper S convertible also enhances comfortable open-air driving pleasure. Popolnoma naelektren občutek vožnje gokarta.
Z dolžino 3.863 mm, medosno razdaljo 2.495 mm, širino 1.727 mm in dolžino 2.495 mm ostajajo dimenzije, vključno s prtljažnim prostorom s 160 l prostornine tovora, nespremenjene v primerjavi s klasično gnanim MINI Convertible. Električni motor s 135 kW/184 KM prihaja iz kompetenčnih centrov BMW Group za električno mobilnost v Dingolfingu in Landshutu. Munich/Asheville. Sunshine, rising temperatures, fresh green scenery: Right on time for summer, MINI is presenting the all-electric MINI Cooper SE as a convertible for the first time. Not as a series production version, but as a unique specimen that shows how the path to an all-electric premium brand could continue and also electrify classic sporty open-air driving in the future. As an open four-seater, the MINI Cooper SE Convertible is the world's only premium convertible with a fully electric drivetrain in the small car segment. With this frontrunner, the British premium brand combines classic sportiness, maximum open-top driving fun and locally emission-free electric mobility for the first time.

The one-off model will be shown to the public for the first time at the traditional community event "MINI Takes the States" in the USA. The winding roads between Burlington in Vermont and Greenville-Spartanburg in South Carolina are perfect for giving the assembled MINI community a first impression of the typical MINI go-kart feeling in the outfit of a MINI Cooper SE Convertible.

The unique specimen is based on the body of the MINI Cooper S Convertible. The electrified MINI Convertible also shares the dimensions of 3,863 mm in length with a wheelbase of 2,495 mm, a width of 1,727 mm and a height of 1,415 mm. The load volume in the luggage compartment also remains unchanged at 160 l.

The drive technology comes from the BMW Group's electric mobility competence centres in Dingolfing and Landshut. The MINI Cooper SE Convertible uses the same drive components as the three-door MINI Cooper SE. The exceptionally harmonious axle load distribution due to the small electric motor favours agile and easily controllable handling. With the top down now in the future, too.

The 135 kW/184 hp electric motor, like in the MINI Cooper SE, transfers the agile handling with the hallmark go-kart feeling to the world of electric mobility and enables acceleration from a standstill to 100 km/h in 7.7 seconds. With a range of 230 kilometres determined in the WLTP test cycle, open-air excursions in urban environments as well as well beyond the city limits are possible. The MINI Cooper SE Convertible combines open-top driving fun with clever functionality. The fully electric and thus particularly quiet textile soft top can be opened and closed within 18 seconds. At the touch of a button, the soft top can be activated when driving up to 30 km/h and allows three settings: open, closed or as a sunroof.

With this one-off, MINI is appealing to the ever-growing fan community of the brand's hallmark open-air driving fun and, at the same time, electrifying the global vehicle market with another segment - sustainably, transparently and comprehensibly.  The successful transformation of the MINI brand to electric mobility is demonstrated particularly impressively by the example of the MINI Cooper SE model. Svetli in neslepeči: prilagodljivi LED žarometi z matrično funkcijo za dolgo luč.

Spremenjena oblika značilnih okroglih žarometov daje značilnemu videzu sprednjega dela novih vozil MINI s 3 vrati, MINI s 5 vrati in MINI Cabrio še močnejšo izraznost. Pri standardnih halogenskih žarometih je novost razvidna z izrazitim poudarkom prek črnega vložka. Pri LED žarometih, ki so na voljo v okviru dodatne opreme, pa je zelo kakovostna tehnologija poudarjena s pomočjo popolnoma nove oblike virov svetlobe. LED moduli nove generacije za zasenčen in dolg snop žarometov nudijo izboljšano svetlost. LED dnevna luč in luč smernika se proizvajata prek obroča, ki oddaja celoten obris žarometa.

Prilagodljivi LED žarometi, ki so prav tako na voljo v dodatni ponudbi opreme, samodejno prilagajajo svojo svetlost razmeram na cesti. Pri vožnji skozi mesto ali v primeru omejene vidljivosti zaradi vremenskih razmer, se lahko doda luč za osvetlitev notranje strani ovinka, tako da se okrepi osvetlitev stranskega dela cestišča. Medtem pa večji doseg zasenčene luči zagotavlja optimalno osvetlitev cestišča pri vožnji po avtocesti.

Prilagodljivi LED žarometi sedaj vključujejo tudi funkcijo samodejnega selektivnega zasenčenja za dolgo luč. Inovativna matrična tehnologija za dolgo luč izboljša doseg vidljivosti, hkrati pa prepreči kakršenkoli slepeči učinek za druge udeležence v prometu. V ta namen je razdeljena na štiri vodoravno razporejene segmente, ki se aktivirajo in deaktivirajo neodvisno drug od drugega pri hitrostih vozila nad 70 km/h. Segmenti dolge luči se uravnavajo glede na razmere na cesti. Takoj ko sprednja kamera vozila MINI zazna nasproti ali spredaj vozeče vozilo, je prostor, ki ga to vozilo zavzema, osvetljen le s svetlostjo zasenčene luči. To se naredi z deaktiviranjem segmentov matrične dolge luči, ki so odgovorni za zadevni prostor. Preostale površine ceste so še naprej osvetljene s svetlostjo dolge luči.

V povezavi z LED žarometi in prilagodljivimi LED žarometi imata tudi zadnji luči novo obliko. Z jasnim sklicevanjem na britansko poreklo blagovne znamke, sta pokončni luči na zadku novih vozil MINI s 3 vrati, MINI s 5 vrati in MINI Cabrio sedaj v obliki Union Jack.

Izrazit motiv zastave je poustvarjen v strukturi funkcij luči. V enoti luči je smernik razporejen vodoravno, zavorna luč navpično, zadnja luč pa predstavlja diagonalne črte britanske zastave. Da bi se zagotovil posebej skladen učinek osvetlitve, vsi svetlobni viri, ki sestavljajo grafiko Union Jack, uporabljajo LED tehnologijo.

Nov logotip MINI: omejen na bistva.

Nov logotip MINI, ki je oblikovan jasno in avtentično, se pojavi na pokrovu motorja, vratih prtljažnika, volanu, osrednjem prikazovalniku in daljinskem upravljalniku vseh modelov vozil. Predstavlja ponovno razlago obstoječega logotipa in ima dvodimenzionalno "plosko oblikovanje". Kot tak, logotip MINI odraža novo identiteto blagovne znamke s poudarkom na bistvih - in sicer ključnih vrednotah, kot so užitek v vožnji, prepoznavna oblika, premijska kakovost in čustvena privlačnost.

Trije novi laki karoserije, premiera za dele zunanjosti Piano Black.

Paleta lakov karoserije za nova vozila MINI s 3 vrati, MINI s 5 vrati in MINI Cabrio vključuje tri novosti. Odslej so del programa tudi kovinski barvni odtenki Emerald Grey, Starlight Blue in Solaris Orange.

Še več, seznam dodatne opreme vključuje nadaljnje sredstvo prilagajanja zunanje oblike. Z možnostjo delov zunanjosti Piano Black so okvirji žarometov, enot zadnjih luči in maske hladilnika, namesto iz kroma, lakirani v črni barvi visokega sijaja.

Razširjen je tudi izbor dodatno razpoložljivih aluminijastih platišč. Nova usnjena oblazinjenja, notranje obloge in možnosti Colour Lines.

Širok izbor sedežnih prevlek, notranjih oblog in možnosti Colour Lines daje pridih individualnega oblikovanja notranjosti novih vozil MINI s 3 vrati, MINI s 5 vrati in MINI Cabrio. Nova oprema za vozili MINI s 3 vrati in MINI s 5 vrati vključuje oblazinjenje v usnju Chester v barvi Malt Brown in možnost Colour Line, ki je sedaj prav tako na voljo v barvi Malt Brown.

Opcija oblikovanja notranjosti Piano Black iz MINI Yours je na voljo z osvetlitvijo. Poleg okrasnih oblog v območju vrat in sredinske konzole v barvi Piano Black, vključuje tudi osvetljeno okrasno letev za armaturno ploščo na sovoznikovi strani. Slednja je prav tako v barvi Piano Black, hkrati pa nosi eleganten motiv Union Jack. Program MINI Yours Customised pomika značilno individualizacijo blagovne znamke na povsem novo raven. Vključuje izdelke za nadgradnjo, katerih obliko lahko kupci zasnujejo sami, ti pa se nato natančno proizvedejo v skladu z individualnimi specifikacijami. Obseg opreme MINI Yours Customised vključuje bočne pokrove, okrasne obloge za notranjost na sovoznikovi strani, LED vstopne letve in LED projektorje na vratih.

Izdelki iz MINI Yours Customised se lahko izberejo, oblikujejo in naročijo prek posebej vzpostavljene spletne trgovine. Tukaj lahko kupci zbirajo med različnimi barvami, vzorci, površinskimi strukturami in ikonami ter prispevajo lastna besedila in s tem dodajo oblikovanju pridih osebnega sloga. Ta ustvarjalna interakcija med proizvajalcem in kupcem omogoča ljubiteljem znamke MINI, da spremenijo svoje vozilo v edinstven primerek, ki nosi pečat njihove osebnosti. Individualizirani izdelki se proizvajajo z uporabo inovativnih proizvodnih tehnik, kot so različne 3D tiskarske metode in lasersko graviranje.

Pogon: večji užitek v vožnji in učinkovitost, manjša masa.

Obsežna prenova motorjev za nova vozila MINI s 3 vrati, MINI s 5 vrati in MINI Cabrio koristi predvsem užitku v vožnji. Prav tako pa vodi k zmanjšanju porabe goriva in vrednosti CO2 kar za pet odstotkov, pa tudi k optimiziranju emisij, da lahko motorji izpolnjujejo bolj stroge emisijske standarde, ki bodo stopili v veljavo v prihodnosti. Nadaljnji razvoj je zajel vsa področja, vključno z osnovnim motorjem, tehnologijo MINI TwinPower Turbo, elektroniko motorja, oskrbo z oljem, kanali za dovod zraka, hladilnim sistemom in izpušnimi sistemi. Prav tako je bilo mogoče, da se je zmanjšala masa pogonskih enot. Prekrivala motorja so izdelana iz plastike, ojačene z ogljikovimi vlakni (CFRP), tako da so sedaj tudi ta lažja. Material za njihovo proizvodnjo so reciklati karbonskih vlaken, pridobljeni v okviru proizvodnje avtomobilov BMW i.

3-valjna bencinska motorja vozil MINI One First in MINI One črpata svojo moč iz 1,5-litrske delovne prostornine. S tem se poveča njun največji navor za 10 Nm, ki znaša 160 oziroma 190 Nm. Poleg tega vključujejo vsi bencinski motorji neposredno vbrizgavanje bencina z največjim tlakom, ki se je povečal z 200 na 350 barov, in lopatice turbopolnilnika, sestavljene iz zelo toplotno odpornega materiala. Neposredno vbrizgavanje goriva prek skupnega voda v dizelskih motorjih zagotavlja, da se gorivo dovaja v zgorevalne komore s še večjo natančnostjo. V ta namen je bil največji tlak vbrizgavanja v 3-valjnih motorjih vozil MINI One D in MINI Cooper D povečan na 2.200 barov, v 4-valjnem motorju vozila MINI Cooper SD pa na 2.500 barov. Še več, najmočnejši od treh dizelskih motorjev je zdaj opremljen z dvostopenjskim turbinskim polnjenjem.

Novo: 7-stopenjski menjalnik Steptronic z dvojno sklopko, 8-stopenjski menjalnik Steptronic.

Kot alternativa standardnemu 6-stopenjskemu ročnemu menjalniku, je 7-stopenjski menjalnik Steptronic z dvojno sklopko dodatno na voljo za modele MINI One, MINI Cooper, MINI Cooper S in MINI Cooper D. Nov tip menjalnika označuje zelo hitro prestavljanje, ki omogoča izredno športne manevre pospeševanja brez prekinitve navora. Upravlja se s pomočjo prenovljene elektronske prestavne ročice. 7-stopenjski športni menjalnik Steptronic z dvojno sklopko je na voljo tudi za vozilo MINI Cooper S. Ta vključuje prestavna vzvoda na volanu za posebej spontano ročno poseganje pri izbiri prestave.

Vozilo MINI Cooper SD je standardno opremljeno z 8-stopenjskim menjalnikom Steptronic. Ta 8-stopenjski avtomatski menjalnik je edinstven v segmentu majhnih avtomobilov in omogoča, da se moč najmočnejšega dizelskega motorja prenaša na sprednji kolesi na posebej športen in usklajen način. 8-stopenjski menjalnik Steptronic se prav tako upravlja s pomočjo elektronske prestavne ročice, medtem ko je 8-stopenjski športni menjalnik Steptronic s prestavnima vzvodoma na volanu na voljo kot dodatna oprema

Vsi menjalniki Steptronic, ki so na voljo za nova vozila MINI s 3 vrati, MINI s 5 vrati in MINI Cabrio omogočajo uporabo funkcije jadranja v MID in načinu GREEN, pa tudi funkcijo Auto Start/Stop nove generacije. Podatki navigacije in sprednje kamere se lahko sedaj vključijo v nadzor slednje. Če je vozilo ustrezno opremljeno, to omogoča razpoznavanje situacij, v katerih je bolje, da se motor ne izklopi: na primer, če se vozilo za kratek čas ustavi, preden zavije ali zapelje v krožišče ali če se je promet pred njim spet začel premikati.

Nov volan z multifunkcijskimi gumbi in radio s 6,5-palčnim barvnim zaslonom kot standardna oprema.

Na novo oblikovan volan s tremi kraki v vozilih MINI s 3 vrati, MINI s 5 vrati in MINI Cabrio sedaj vključuje multifunkcijske gumbe. Na levi nadzorni plošči je mogoče aktivirati napravo Speed Limit, da se nastavit največja hitrost, medtem ko so upravljalni gumbi za zvok in komunikacijo na desni strani. Usnjen športni volan, usnjen športni volan MINI Yours in usnjen volan John Cooper Works so na voljo kot dodatna oprema.

Standardna oprema vključuje tudi zvočni sistem s 6,5-palčnim barvnim zaslonom na osrednjem instrumentu in povezovanje mobilnega telefona prek vmesnika Bluetooth. Nadzorni prikazovalnik nudi funkcijo na dotik v kombinaciji z dodatno razpoložljivim radiem MINI Visual Boost in navigacijskim sistemom.

Inovativna dodatna oprema za nova vozila MINI s 3 vrati, MINI s 5 vrati in MINI Cabrio vključuje telefonijo z možnostjo brezžičnega polnjenja. Odlagalni predal, vgrajen v sredinskem naslonu za roko, omogoča brezžično polnjenje mobilnih telefonov, ki nudijo to zmožnost. Ta oprema vključuje tudi drugo vtičnico USB na sprednjem delu sredinske konzole.

Dodatno razpoložljiv paket MINI Excitement sedaj vključuje tudi projekcijo logotipa MINI na voznikovi strani. Ko se vozilo odpre in zapre, se novi logotip MINI projicira na tleh pred vrati iz svetlobnega vira v zunanjem ogledalu in ostane viden 20 sekund, ali trajno, če so vrata odprta.

MINI Connected: ponudba digitalnih storitev, ki je edinstvena v tem segmentu**.

Z novimi funkcijami MINI Connected** ponuja MINI raznoliko paleto digitalnih storitev na premijski ravni, ki je edinstvena v segmentu majhnih avtomobilov. Nove funkcije vključujejo Real Time Traffic Information** in samodejno posodobitev kartografskega materiala prek povezave mobilnega telefona, osebno storitev Concierge Service** in internetni portal MINI Online** v vozilu z novicami, vremensko napovedjo in pregledom cen goriva. Na voljo pa je tudi dodatna priprava za Apple CarPlay**.

Nove storitve so na voljo v treh paketih. Možnost Connected Media vključuje digitalno infrastrukturo za infozabavo, ki se lahko uporablja z radiem MINI Visual Boost, medtem ko Connected Navigation** spremeni navigacijski sistem MINI v inteligentno povezano informacijsko središče. Paket Connected Navigation Plus** vključuje vse funkcije MINI Connected XL**.

Osebni asistent mobilnost MINI Connected** sedaj omogoča voznikom novih vozil MINI s 3 vrati, MINI s 5 vrati in MINI Cabrio, da brezhibno vključijo svoje vozilo in načrtovanje mobilnosti v svojo vsakodnevno digitalno rutino. Medtem pa aplikacija MINI Connected** omogoča povezljivost z digitalnimi stičnimi točkami, kot je pametni telefon ali ura. Na primer, MINI Connected** lahko uporablja koledarske vnose in kontaktne podatke, vnesene v pametni telefon, za načrtovanje poti in določi idealen čas za odhod na podlagi prometnih podatkov v realnem času. Funkcija Send to Car** omogoča, da se načrtovane poti pošljejo v navigacijski sistem MINI, medtem ko Remote Services** vozniku ne omogočajo le prikaza položaja vozila, nivoja goriva in drugih podatkov o stanju vozila na njegovi digitalni napravi, ampak prav tako aktivirajo svetlobni signal, hupo, prezračevanje in funkcijo zaklepanja/odklepanja vrat.

Inteligentno omreževanje vozila MINI prek integrirane kartice SIM v vozilu: ta je sedaj v skladu s standardom mobilnih komunikacij 4G**. Prav tako omogoča uporabo MINI Teleservices** in sistema za klic v sili s samodejnim zaznavanjem lokacije vozila in resnosti nesreče.

Storitve, ki so sedaj na voljo v novih vozilih MINI s 3 vrati, MINI s 5 vrati in MINI Cabrio prvič vključujejo tudi MINI Find Mate. Ta je sestavljen iz tako imenovanih obeskov z brezžično funkcijo sledenja, ki jih je mogoče namestiti na pogosto uporabljene in potovalne predmete, kot so torbe, kovčki in nahrbtniki. Njihovega položaja ni mogoče prikazati samo na potovalnem računalniku, temveč tudi v aplikaciji MINI Connected** na pametnem telefonu. Na ta način MINI Find Mate učinkovito preprečuje izgubljanje ali pozabljanje osebnih stvari
