    <br />Munich.</strong> Three become two: the BMW XM portfolio is
  sharpening its focus, now offering just two models. The BMW XM Label
  range-topper (WLTP combined (EnVKV): energy consumption 33.7 kWh/100
  km and 2.3 l/100 km; fuel consumption with discharged battery: 12.8
  l/100 km; CO2 emissions: 53 g/km; CO2 class with
  discharged battery/combined: G/B; maximum electric range 76 km)* is
  now the only model to come with an electrified V8 engine. The BMW XM
  50e (WLTP combined (EnVKV): energy consumption 32.0 kWh/100 km and
  1.6 l/100 km; fuel consumption with discharged battery: 11.3 l/100 km;
  CO2 emissions: 37 g/km; CO2 class with
  discharged battery/combined: G/B; maximum electric range 80–86 km)*,
  featuring an electrified six-cylinder engine, remains available unchanged.</p>
<p>The BMW XM Label combines stupendous power and an advanced drive
  concept. Its M HYBRID system consists of a V8 with a peak output of
  430 kW/585 hp and an electric motor integrated into the eight-speed M
  Steptronic transmission delivering up to 145 kW/197 hp. With a system
  output of 550 kW/748 hp and a combined torque of 1,000 Nm, the BMW XM
  Label is the most powerful BMW M production model ever. It takes just
  3.8 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h and has an electronically
  limited top speed of 250 km/h. The optional M Driver’s Package
  increases this limit to 290 km/h. With its exhilarating performance
  and uncompromisingly extravagant design, the BMW XM Label enjoys
  maximum exclusivity in the luxury segment.</p>
<p>The most powerful BMW of all time sets new standards with its
  extrovert design while demonstrating why BMW M stands for “The
  Ultimate Driving Machine”. This is a view shared by world-famous
  British musician, techno and house DJ Carl Cox. In a joint project
  with BMW M, he has woven the sounds of the BMW XM – such as the
  powerful bass of the V8, the Welcome chime and the pop of the bonnet
  closing – into an aural celebration (<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m7-LJbXimsg" target="_blank">Link</a>). The result underscores Carl Cox’s passion
  for BMW M automobiles and is just as unique, extrovert and confident
  as the BMW XM itself.</p>
<p>
  <strong>New equipment options, increased charging rate.</strong></p>
<p>The BMW XM Label now offers additional options for customising the
  exterior and interior. Newly available, for example, is the optional
  BMW Individual Frozen Tanzanite Blue metallic exterior colour, which
  highlights the model’s unique character. The BMW M kidney grille
  complete with accent line can be ordered in high-gloss Black. A new
  Welcome Light Animation makes the BMW XM Label look particularly
  impressive after dark. Standard equipment for the BMW XM Label in
  Europe now includes 22-inch light alloy wheels Double-spoke style 922
  M Bicolour with mixed-size tyres. They replace the previous 21-inch
  wheels. A new option comes in the shape of the 23-inch M light alloy
  wheels style 1096 M in Black. </p>
<p>BMW Individual Night Blue Merino Leather with exclusive elements is
  available as a new option, for a particularly extravagant interior
  ambience. Other new colour combinations for the interior of the BMW XM
  Label include BMW Individual Black Merino leather with exclusive
  elements and Vintage Coffee Brown interior surfaces as well as BMW
  Individual Silverstone Merino leather with Black interior surfaces.
  The high-quality comfort cushions matching the colour of the seat
  surfaces now come as standard for all BMW Individual leather merino
  upholstery. The charging rate of the BMW XM Label increases as well:
  the M HYBRID system’s Combined Charging Unit now enables AC charging
  at up to 11 kW.</p>
<p>The upgraded BMW XM Label will be unveiled on 14 June 2025 at the 24
  Hours of Le Mans. BMW M Motorsport will be competing on the legendary
  French circuit with the BMW M Hybrid V8 in the FIA World Endurance
  Championship (FIA WEC).</p>
<p> </p>

<p>
  <strong>Munich/Miami Beach.</strong> BMW and Kith are launching a new
  edition of their successful collaboration. The BMW XM* and its links
  to the legendary BMW M1 are the focus of the third collaboration
  between the premium car manufacturer and Ronnie Fieg's world-renowned
  lifestyle brand, Kith. The high-performance plug-in hybrid will be
  available next year as the 2025 BMW XM by Kith, with exclusive
  exterior and interior designs.<br />The 2025 BMW XM Kith Concept
  offers a first look at the car, which will be manufactured as a
  one-of-one vehicle and presented at Art Basel Miami 2024, taking place
  from December 6-8 at the Miami Beach Convention Center,  alongside
  another unique piece, Ronnie Fieg's 1981 BMW M1 E26. A new Kith for
  BMW collection of apparel and lifestyle products will also be launched.</p>
<p>Following the edition vehicles designed by Ronnie Fieg based on the
  BMW M4 Competition Coupé* from 2020 and the BMW i4 M50 xDrive* from
  2022, BMW and Kith are once again dedicating the latest chapter of
  their partnership to an exceptional BMW M automobile. The BMW XM,
  which is also the first original BMW M automobile since the BMW M1
  produced from 1978 to 1981, features the newly developed M HYBRID
  drive system for the first time. The BMW XM features striking details
  inspired by the design of the legendary mid-engined sports car, such
  as the side accent strips, the two BMW emblems at the rear and the
  louvre structure of the rear lights.</p>
<p>
  <strong>2025 BMW XM by Kith: 47 units, historic colour, exclusive details.</strong></p>
<p>The 2025 BMW XM by Kith will be produced in a limited edition of 47
  units, reflecting the number of years that have passed since the debut
  of the BMW M1. It will be delivered in the second half of 2025 to
  enthusiasts and collectors of particularly exclusive BMW M
  automobiles. The edition vehicles will be offered with BMW Individual
  Frozen Techno Violet metallic paint finish, which is also based on
  historical models. This paint finish, specially developed by Kith for
  the 2025 BMW XM by Kith, will only ever be used for this limited
  edition model and will never be used by BMW again, making this edition
  truly special. Alternatively, BMW Individual Frozen Black metallic
  paint finish (paint code U91) is also available for the 2025 BMW XM by Kith.</p>
<p>The paintwork and numerous special design features emphasise the
  particularly dynamic proportions of a modern Sports Activity Vehicle
  and the expressive lines that characterise the BMW XM. The 2025 BMW XM
  by Kith features black side window graphics and accent strips. The
  outline of the model inscriptions on the front, rear and side, as well
  as the outline of the Kith logo, combined with the characteristic M
  stripes on the rear of the edition vehicles, are finished in Techno
  Violet metallic. The 2025 BMW XM by Kith comes as standard with
  23-inch M light-alloy wheels in star-spoke design with Jet Black finish.</p>
<p>In the interior, the modern sports car cockpit of the BMW XM by Kith
  is complemented by exclusive details in the striking aesthetics of the
  Kith label. The illuminated door sills feature the special “1/47”
  insignia, denoting how rare each car is. The velour floor mats and the
  control centre on the centre console all feature the Kith logo with
  the M stripes.<br />An illuminated version can also be seen under the
  headrests of the M multifunction driver and passenger seats. The seat
  surfaces in the BMW Individual Merino leather finish feature an
  embossed Kith monogram pattern, as does the armrest of the centre
  console. Another detail can be found in the control display of the
  edition vehicles. A special widget includes the official BMW XM by
  Kith vehicle name, the “1/47” insignia and the Kith logo with the M stripes.</p>
<p>The M Lounge in the rear of the 2025 BMW XM by Kith also creates a
  personal atmosphere in the vehicle. Embossed Kith monogram on the seat
  surfaces and two cushions with the label's logo add to the personal
  touch. Together with the pre-set purple interior lighting, a special
  atmosphere is created that is appropriate for the edition vehicle.</p>
<p>A Kith duffle bag, designed and manufactured exclusively by Kith for
  the edition vehicles, is included as standard to stylishly accommodate
  the included charging cables.</p>
<p>The 2025 BMW XM by Kith will be launched on December 6th
  at 5 PM CET on <a href="https://eur01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.bmw-m.com%2FXM-by-KITH&data=05%7C02%7CChristian.Pomp%40bmw.de%7C9fffb33f1621427eb46108dd117682ee%7Cce849babcc1c465bb62e18f07c9ac198%7C0%7C0%7C638685922903531639%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%3D%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&sdata=mXYCBEdoNhF%2FbsimCrifQVBYXxt%2FPLoE0k9rEUlVz14%3D&reserved=0">http://www.bmw-m.com/XM-by-KITH</a>.

  <strong>World premiere in Miami Beach: The 2025 BMW XM Kith Concept.</strong></p>
<p>BMW and Kith will present a concept car, also designed by Ronnie
  Fieg. The exterior and interior of the 2025 BMW XM Kith Concept have
  been created by Fieg in collaboration with BMW to express both the
  distinctive character and exclusive sportiness of the high-performance
  model in a particularly intense way. Free from all the conventions of
  production car homologation, he designed a sophisticated lighting
  concept, in which the colour purple plays a central role, matching the
  BMW Individual Frozen Techno Violet metallic paint finish. The 2025
  BMW XM Kith Concept's side accent strips consist of black backlit
  strips, each of which contains 363 full-color LED units distributed
  along its entire length. When activated, these create a dynamically
  animated purple glow around the Kith lettering. The decor elements on
  the side panels also feature a backlit Kith logo.</p>
<p>LED units are also used in the headlights to create a purple colour
  scheme. The Kith logo can also be displayed on the glass covers of the
  main headlights using LED matrix displays for the low beam headlights.
  The 2025 BMW XM Kith Concept also features an M radiator grille Iconic
  Glow with purple contour lighting and a paint finish enriched with
  purple colour pigments for the 23-inch light-alloy wheels.</p>
<p>As a nod to its motorsport lineage, and to pay homage to the M1’s
  design, the 2025 BMW XM Kith Concept has been lowered by 30
  millimetres at the front and 35 millimetres at the rear, while the
  track on both axles has been widened by 40 millimetres. This was
  accomplished thanks to the use of special springs and wheel spacers.</p>
<p>Inside the concept car, M Carbon bucket seats replace the M
  multifunction seats of the 2025 BMW XM by Kith. They also feature
  surfaces with embossed Kith monogram and illuminated Kith emblems
  combined with the M stripes in the area of the headrests.</p>
<p>
  <strong>Reconstructing a legend: 1981 BMW M1 E26 by Ronnie Fieg.</strong></p>
<p>To place both the concept car and the limited edition of 47 2025 BMW
  XM by Kith in a historical context, another unique model will be
  presented to the public for the first time in Miami Beach. The 1981
  BMW M1 E26 by Ronnie Fieg is an extensively reconstructed one-of-one
  example of the sports car with specific details from the design
  repertoire of the Kith label.</p>
<p>The car, which bears the model designation, year of manufacture and
  internal model series code as well as the name of the Kith founder was
  according to Ronnie Fieg's ideas. A Techno Violet paint finish (paint
  code 299), the combined M and Kith emblem on the tailgate and an
  interior with embossed Kith lettering create new design parallels
  between Ronnie Fieg's 1981 BMW M1 E26 and the 2025 BMW XM Kith
  Concept, in addition to the similarities in the design of the
  production vehicles. Their joint appearance in Miami Beach thus forms
  a bridge between the first and the last model to be developed and
  produced exclusively as a BMW M in the more than 50 years of the
  company's history.</p>
<p>
  <strong>Kith for BMW: Classic BMW design motifs reinterpreted in a new
    fashion and lifestyle collection.</strong></p>
<p>The presentation of the vehicles designed by Ronnie Fieg in Miami
  Beach will be accompanied by the launch of a new Kith for BMW apparel
  and lifestyle collection. The collection includes a wide range of
  products that take classic BMW design motifs and reinterpret them in
  Kith's signature style. In addition to the brand emblems and model
  inscriptions, the colours Techno Violet, Cinnabar Red and Vitality
  Green, which are used in the current cooperation and in previous joint
  projects, give the products in the collection an unmistakable look.</p>
<p>The apparel range includes premium jackets in Italian leather,
  double-sided wool and silky suede, as well as co-branded jumpers,
  hoodies, rugby shirts, trousers and a range of vintage-inspired
  T-shirts. The collection also includes a range of premium lifestyle
  accessories including caps and hats, key fobs and licence plates,
  leather driving gloves, microfibre towels and cushions, floor mats and
  carpets, as well as BMW and Kith branded card cases, mugs, trays,
  umbrellas and snowboards.</p>
<p>A 1:18 scale model of the 2025 BMW XM by Kith is a particular
  highlight of the collection. In addition to the BMW Individual Frozen
  Techno Violet metallic body colour, the miniature features numerous
  other details based on the edition vehicle, including model lettering
  on the M radiator grille with purple trim and Kith logos on the rear
  doors, door sills and seats.</p>
<p>The scale model of the new edition vehicle will also be produced in a
  limited edition and can be ordered exclusively from the <a href="https://lifestyle.bmw.com/gb/en/discover/bmwminiaturexmkith.html">BMW
    Lifestyle Shop</a>. The complete Kith for BMW collection will be
  available on December 6th at all Kith shops worldwide,
  including the Kith for BMW Showcase pop-up in Miami Beach, as well as
  online at 5 PM CET on <a href="http://www.kith.com">www.kith.com</a>.</p><div class="co2emission"><div class="co2emission-headline">CO2 EMISSIONS & CONSUMPTION.</div><div class="co2emission-text"><p>

    <br />Munich/Cannes.</strong> Glittering movie premieres, stars
  gracing the red carpet and a high-performance vehicle that looks like
  nothing else: this is the Cannes Film Festival and yesterday it hosted
  the world premiere of the BMW XM Mystique Allure. This one-off
  creation is based on the first high-performance sports car from BMW M
  GmbH powered by the M HYBRID drive system. Blending progressive luxury
  with extravagant looks, it is inspired by British supermodel Naomi
  Campbell, was designed using exclusive materials from the world of
  haute couture and has a unique soundtrack devised in cooperation with
  film score composer Hans Zimmer.<br />
  <br />The BMW XM Mystique Allure is the latest product of the
  collaboration between BMW and Naomi Campbell. The partnership took its
  first steps last year with the “Dare to be You” launch campaign for
  the BMW XM, which puts the confidence to be yourself and go your own
  way at centre stage.<br />
  <br />
  <strong>The BMW XM Mystique Allure and Naomi Campbell: making a grand
    entrance at Cannes.<br /></strong>The 77th Cannes Film Festival was
  the ideal choice of setting for the world premiere of the BMW XM
  Mystique Allure. Against the stunning backdrop of the French portside
  resort, Naomi Campbell presented the one-of-a-kind creation inspired
  by her to an audience of selected guests,<a> before making her way in
    the car to the red carpet</a> outside the Palais des Festivals et
  des Congrès. “Witnessing BMW's vision for the BMW XM Mystique Allure
  come to life has been truly incredible,” says Naomi. “I feel deeply
  honoured to have sparked the inspiration for their first-ever
  high-fashion show car, which stands as a unique masterpiece in every aspect.”<br />
  <br />This is the third year in succession that BMW has stepped up as
  Official Automotive Partner of the Cannes Film Festival. And it will
  lay on an exclusive shuttle service of more than 200 vehicles – among
  them the all-electric BMW i7, BMW iX and BMW i5, and the
  plug-in-hybrid BMW XM – to give participants and guests at the event
  the experience of locally emission-free premium mobility.<br />
  <br />
  <strong>First BMW designed with high-fashion
  materials.<br /></strong>The BMW XM Mystique Allure is the first
  vehicle in the brand’s history to be designed using materials from the
  high fashion industry. This unusual tie-up showcases the BMW XM in a
  whole new light: expressive, avant-garde – and stylish and luxurious
  in equal measure.<br />
  <br />Inspired by Naomi’s favourite colour, the vehicle’s exterior
  boasts a deeply saturated ultramarine shade, accentuated by a lustrous
  matte finish. A contemporary translation of high-fashion materials
  from luxury textile manufacturers, the design seamlessly brings the
  inside to the outside, featuring rich velvet and shimmering Frozen
  <a>metallic </a>sequins casting hues ranging from intense violet to
  deep ultramarine.<br />
  <br />The iridescent surfaces were created with precise
  handcraftsmanship and a fine eye for detail. They take their cues from
  the eye-catching geometric forms of the BMW XM and bring a special
  visual richness to the car’s extrovert aesthetic. The design of the
  BMW XM Mystique Allure provides a meeting point for high performance
  and haute couture, and paints a unique picture of progressive luxury
  that continues into the interior. All of the surfaces inside the car,
  including the M Lounge in the rear, are covered in purple velvet.<br />
  <br />
  <strong>BMW IconicSounds Electric: exclusive driving sound from the
    collaboration with Hans Zimmer.<br /></strong>The bold appearance of
  the BMW XM Mystique Allure is complemented by an acoustic character
  also very much its own. At its heart is a bespoke adaptation of the
  BMW IconicSounds Electric developed as part of the collaboration
  between BMW Group Sound Design and film score composer Hans Zimmer.<br />
  <br />The driving track created for the Naomi Campbell-inspired
  one-off projects the supreme confidence of the car’s exterior design
  onto the soundscape of locally emission-free driving. In the M HYBRID
  drive system’s all-electric operating mode, every movement of the
  accelerator is accompanied by an emotionally engaging sound that
  authentically represents the car’s outstanding performance and
  magnetic visual allure.<br />
  <br />
  <strong>The BMW XM: the most powerful series-produced model from BMW M
  GmbH.<br /></strong>The BMW XM is the first model since the legendary
  BMW M1 to be conceived solely as a standalone high-performance car
  from BMW M GmbH. It blends dynamic potency with innovative luxury and
  an enticingly extravagant design composed of muscular proportions and
  powerful contours. Two-piece split headlight units, Iconic Glow
  contour lighting for the BMW kidney grille, accent bands along the
  sides of the car, light-alloy wheels up to 23 inches in size and the
  vertically stacked and hexagonally formed pairs of exhaust tailpipes
  integrated into the rear apron ensure the exterior of the XM has an
  inimitable visual presence.<br />
  <br />The BMW XM is also breaking new ground with its M HYBRID system,
  which has made the XM the first high-performance car from BMW M GmbH
  to feature an electrified drive system. In BMW XM Label Red form
  (electric power and petrol consumption – weighted, combined:
  33.5 kWh/100 km and 2.0 l/100 km [141.2 mpg imp]; CO2
  emissions – weighted, combined: 45 g/km (WLTP); fuel consumption with
  discharged battery: 12.9 l/100 km [21.9 mpg imp] as per WLTP;
  CO2 classes: with discharged battery G; weighted, combined
  B), the plug-in hybrid model – with its maximum output of 550 kW/748
  hp – is also the most powerful series-produced, road-legal car yet
  produced by BMW M GmbH.<br />
  <br />Official fuel consumption, CO2 emissions, electric
  power consumption and electric range figures were determined based on
  the prescribed measurement procedure in accordance with European
  Regulation (EC) 2007/715 in the version applicable. Where a range is
  shown, the WLTP figures take into account the impact of any optional extras.<br />
  <br />Only official figures based on the WLTP procedure are available
  for new models that have been type tested since 01.01.2021. In
  addition, according to EU Regulation 2022/195, the NEDC values will no
  longer be included in the EC certificates of conformity as of
  01.01.2023. Further information on the WLTP and NEDC measurement
  procedures can also be found at www.bmw.de/wltp.<br />
  <br />Further information on official fuel consumption figures and
  specific CO2 emission values of new passenger cars is
  included in the following guideline: 'Leitfaden über den
  Kraftstoffverbrauch, die CO2-Emissionen and den Stromverbrauch neuer
  Personenkraftwagen' (Guide to the fuel economy, CO2
  emissions and electric power consumption of new passenger cars), which
  can be obtained free of charge from all dealerships, from Deutsche
  Automobil Treuhand GmbH (DAT), Hellmuth-Hirth-Str. 1. 73760

  <strong>Note: This press release is a 1:1 copy of the original issued
    by BMW headquarters in Germany. No adaptations have been made to
    cater for the UK market. <br />
    <br />Munich/Cannes.</strong> BMW has signed up as Official
  Automotive Partner of the Cannes Film Festival for the third year in a
  row. This means visitors to the festival will once again be able to
  enjoy an exclusive shuttle service featuring luxury vehicles from the
  premium carmaker’s current range. BMW is also using its Cannes
  spotlight for a special vehicle presentation. Following the successful
  world premiere of the BMW Films production <em>The Calm</em> last
  year, BMW will now introduce a one-off creation based on the BMW XM as
  part of the creative collaboration with British supermodel Naomi Campbell.</p>
<p>Now in its 77th year, the prestigious Cannes Film Festival will once
  again attract a plentiful cast of filmmakers, actors and cinema lovers
  from all over the world to the Côte d’Azur on 14 – 25 May 2024. But
  the presentation of the coveted Palme d’Or is not the only show in
  town; during the festival, heads increasingly turn towards the
  lifestyle chic and glamour of the Croisette and many other Cannes
  hotspots. For premium brand BMW, the event therefore provides the
  ideal stage on which to exhibit its latest luxury-segment models to a
  discerning international audience.</p>
<p>To this end, organisers and guests alike will have locally
  emission-free premium mobility at their disposal. The exclusive fleet
  of shuttles chauffeuring the stars and VIPs over the roads around the
  Palais des Festivals et des Congrès will also be available to the
  festival organisers and some of its Official Partners. It includes
  more than 200 vehicles, among them the all-electric BMW i7, BMW iX and
  BMW i5, plus the BMW XM with plug-in hybrid drive system.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
  <strong>Creative collaboration with Naomi Campbell produces
    one-of-a-kind result.</strong></p>
<p>BMW has extended the partnership with Naomi Campbell that it launched
  last year. The latest product of this creative collaboration is the
  BMW XM Mystique Allure. Inspired by the supermodel, this unique take
  on the XM will make a very special appearance in Cannes on 15 May.</p>
<p>The collaboration took its first steps last year with the “Dare to be
  You” launch campaign for the BMW XM. Alongside her successful catwalk
  career, Naomi Campbell has also established herself as an actor and
  creative visionary, and has become one of the most influential figures
  on the global fashion scene. Her commitment to increasing diversity in
  the industry has made her a standard-bearer for the next generation of
  up-and-coming talent in the creative and fashion worlds.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
  <strong>The BMW XM and Naomi Campbell: trailblazers specialising in
    visual extravagance.</strong></p>
<p>An enduring pioneering spirit and the ability to project poise and
  confidence are attributes shared by Naomi Campbell and the BMW XM.
  With its iconic design language, an interior permeated by high comfort
  and the M HYBRID drive system making its debut in a series-produced
  model, the BMW XM creates a whole new level of connection between
  luxury and high performance.</p>
<p>The plug-in hybrid system’s electric motor teams up with either a
  muscular six-cylinder in-line engine or punchy petrol V8, depending on
  the model variant. In BMW XM Label Red form (electric power and petrol
  consumption – weighted, combined: 33.5 kWh/100 km and 2.0 l/100 km

  powerful series-produced, road-legal car yet produced by BMW M GmbH.</p>

  extras are set to further increase the appeal and diversity of the BMW
  product range from spring 2024. The BMW iX2 fully electric model will
  be available from March 2024 with an additional drive system variant.
  The drive system offering for the BMW XM has also been expanded. The
  innovative Highway Assistant will bring increased comfort levels over
  longer journeys to more of the brand’s model series. And additional
  exterior paint finishes will be offered for the BMW 5 Series Saloon,
  BMW X2 and BMW iX2. Customers will also be able to order the business
  saloon with new variants of the BMW Individual Merino leather trim.<br />
  <br />Attractive new features will also be introduced in spring 2024
  in the area of digital services. These include easier use of the voice
  assistant Siri (as part of the integration of the Apple iPhone into
  cars specified with BMW Operating System 9), and the optimised display
  of ratings for charging stations for fully electric and plug-in hybrid
  BMW models. The steady expansion of the range of functions for the My
  BMW App also continues.<br />
  <br />
  <strong>New entry-level variant for the BMW iX2.<br /></strong>BMW’s
  current model offensive in the area of electric mobility also brings
  additional variety to the premium compact segment. A new entry-level
  variant of the fully electric BMW iX2 will go on sale in March 2024.
  The new BMW iX2 eDrive20 (electric power consumption, combined: 16.9 –
  15.3 kWh/62 miles in the WLTP cycle) takes a particularly economical
  route to delivering locally emission-free driving pleasure in a
  compact Sports Activity Coupé (SAC). Powered by a 204 hp electric
  motor at the front axle, it sprints from 0 to 62 mph in 8.6 seconds
  and posts a range of 273 – 297 miles in the WLTP cycle. Its top speed
  is limited to 106 mph.<br />
  <br />The high-voltage battery in the new BMW iX2 eDrive20 serves up
  64.78 kWh of usable energy and can be charged from AC sources at 11 kW
  as standard and up to 22 kW as an option. DC charging is possible at
  up to 130 kW. Thanks to extremely efficient charging software and
  predictive heat management capability, brief stops are enough to
  significantly increase the battery charge. In ten minutes hooked up to
  a fast-charging station, the BMW iX2 eDrive20 can take on sufficient
  energy to boost its range by 75 miles. The BMW iX2 eDrive20 is also
  equipped for using the Plug & Charge Multi Contract function as standard.<br />
  <br />From March 2024, all model variants of the new BMW X2 and new
  BMW iX2 will also be available with an expanded range of exterior
  paint finishes. Frozen Black metallic is a new addition to the selection.<br />
  <br />
  <strong>BMW XM 50e: high performance with maximum
  efficiency.<br /></strong>As the latest offshoot of the first ever
  electrified high-performance model from BMW M GmbH, the new BMW XM 50e
  (fuel consumption, combined: 166.2 – 217.3 mpg; electric power
  consumption, combined: 32.2 – 31.5 kWh/62 miles; CO2 emissions,
  combined: 37 – 30 g/km in the WLTP cycle) blends signature M dynamism,
  extrovert design and progressive interior luxury with maximum
  efficiency. Its M HYBRID drive system is composed of a six-cylinder
  in-line petrol engine and an electric motor integrated, together with
  its power electronics, into the eight-speed Steptronic Sport
  transmission. This combination produces system output of 476 hp
  (developed by the combination of the combustion engine with up to 313
  hp and the electric motor with up to 197 hp) and maximum system torque
  of 700 Nm / 516 lb-ft (developed by the combination of the combustion
  engine with up to 450 Nm / 332 lb-ft and the electric motor with up to
  280 Nm / 206 lb-ft).<br />
  <br />The latest version of the 3.0-litre combustion engine fitted in
  the BMW XM 50e owes its enhanced performance characteristics among
  other things to the Miller combustion cycle, dual injection, an
  exhaust manifold integrated into the cylinder head and VANOS variable
  camshaft timing, which now works electrically. The electric motor has
  a pre-gearing stage patented by BMW, which allows the effective torque
  at the transmission input for the motor to be increased to 450 Nm (332
  lb-ft). The top speed of the high-performance model – which is also
  equipped with the all-wheel-drive system M xDrive – is an
  electronically limited to 155 mph. Thanks to an electric range of 48 –
  52 miles in the WLTP cycle, the BMW XM 50e can cover much of its
  everyday mileage – e.g. in urban centres – with zero local emissions.
  And it can also be driven on electric power alone at speeds of up to
  87 mph.<br />
  <br />The most efficient version of the new M HYBRID system comes
  together with the extraordinary presence of the unmistakable
  high-performance model in the Sports Activity Vehicle segment. The
  model-specific design features of the new variant include the black
  accent band along the sides of the car, plus a surround for the BMW
  kidney grille and trim detailing for the rear diffuser (both in
  Pearl-effect Chrome), exhaust tailpipe trim in Black high-gloss and
  silver-coloured bordering for the model badge. Customers wishing to
  bring an extra personal touch to the interior of their new BMW XM 50e
  – which also offers a unique combination of modern sports car flair
  and extravagant luxury with its M-specific cockpit, M multifunction
  seats, sculptural headliner and M Lounge in the rear compartment – can
  specify features including exclusive Vintage leather for the upper
  section of the instrument panel and door trim panels.<br />
  <br />
  <strong>Highway Assistant: innovative Level 2 functionality for more
  models.<br /></strong>Relaxed travel over long distances and an
  impressive experience of semi-automated driving are the specialities
  of the Highway Assistant. Launched initially in Germany, the United
  States and Canada, this package made its debut in the new BMW 5 Series
  Saloon and is now also available for other current BMW models in
  available markets.</p>
<p>As an additional function of the Steering and Lane Control Assistant
  included in the optional Driving Assistant Professional, the Highway
  Assistant takes over the vehicle’s speed control, distance control and
  steering on motorways with structurally separated carriageways when
  travelling at up to 84 mph. The driver can take their hands off the
  steering wheel and put them in a comfortable position, provided they
  continue to pay attention to what is happening on the road and are
  able to take over the steering again at any time. This Level 2 – as
  determined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) –
  semi-automated driving function will also be available for the BMW 7
  Series, BMW iX, BMW XM, BMW X5, BMW X6 and BMW X7 from spring 2024.<br />
  <br />The Active Lane Change Assistant with eye confirmation included
  as part of the new Highway Assistant adds another layer to the
  semi-automated driving experience. As soon as the traffic situation
  permits, it is capable of performing the necessary steering movements
  for an overtaking manoeuvre, for example, and adjusting the vehicle’s
  speed as required. Plus, for the first time, the driver is able to
  initiate a lane change suggested by this system by simply looking in
  the exterior mirror to confirm it.<br />
  <br />
  <strong>New digital services, My BMW App with additional
  functions.<br /></strong>Among the digital services available for the
  first time from spring 2024 is the extended smartphone integration for
  vehicles equipped with BMW Operating System 9. This enables the Siri
  voice assistant for the Apple iPhone to be activated directly by voice
  command and without needing to also press the push-to-talk button.
  Elsewhere, the cloud-based navigation system BMW Maps now boasts
  improved display of information on charging stations. The available
  images and ratings are shown both in the list of search results and in
  the detailed display. The charging station ratings will now be shown
  clearly on a scale of zero to five stars.<br />
  <br />As a universal digital interface for data exchange between the
  customer and their car, the My BMW App offers an ever-expanding number
  of functions. From spring 2024, Comfort Access with the BMW Digital
  Key Plus will be integrated into the My BMW App in vehicles equipped
  with BMW Operating System 8, 8.5 or 9. In addition, the map view for
  selecting navigation destinations imported into the vehicle has been
  newly designed. This also improves the search function and the
  visibility of the most relevant content. Map and routing functions
  will in future be proposed based on current vehicle or user contexts.<br />

<p> </p>
<p>BMW M GmbH is further elevating the first-ever BMW XM with the
  introduction of the BMW XM Label Red, designed for customers who crave
  bold, standout design and exceptional performance in a vehicle that
  transcends traditional conventions.</p>

  748hp compared with the standard model, while distinctive design
  elements set the BMW XM Label Red apart, including Toronto Red
  metallic accents on the exterior, unique 22-inch light-alloy wheels
  with red accents and a striking black and red interior colour scheme
  that exudes visual appeal and sportiness.</p>
<p>The BMW XM marks the first model since the BMW M1 to be designed
  exclusively as a high-performance car by BMW M GmbH, blending the
  muscular proportions of a dynamic Sports Activity Vehicle with an
  extroverted exterior design characterised by expansive surfaces, clean
  lines, and a luxury-class BMW front-end aesthetic.</p>
<p>The BMW XM Label Red will debut at the Auto Shanghai international
  motor show in April 2023. Production is set to begin in August 2023 at
  BMW Group Plant Spartanburg, USA, with the first UK customer
  deliveries in the autumn.  </p>
<p>An exclusive limited run of the top-tier BMW XM Label Red will also
  be introduced in 2023. With just 500 units to be built for sale
  worldwide, the BMW XM Label Red Edition will showcase a BMW Individual
  Frozen Carbon Black metallic exterior finish with further red exterior
  accents surrounding the Kidney grille. </p>

  **Electronically limited.</p>
<p>
  <br />
  <strong>M HYBRID system with top-level and precisely judged performance.</strong></p>
<p>With a system output increased to 748 hp, the new top-of-the-line
  model outperforms the standard BMW XM by 95 hp. System torque is up by
  200 Nm (147 lb-ft) and now peaks at 1,000 Nm (737 lb-ft), with power
  channelled to the road via the M xDrive all-wheel-drive system.</p>
<p>The electric motor draws its energy from a high-voltage lithium-ion
  battery integrated into the underbody area, which is a product of
  fifth-generation BMW eDrive technology. The lithium-ion battery stands
  out with its high energy density at a cell and battery pack level. It
  has a usable energy content of 25.7 kWh. Together with the electric
  motor’s excellent efficiency and the system of intelligent energy
  management, this enables an electric range of 47 – 52 miles (WLTP).</p>
<p>The power delivery of the electric motor gains a soundtrack of its
  own, in the form of the BMW IconicSounds Electric developed as part of
  a collaboration between the BMW Group and film score composer Hans Zimmer.</p>
<p>The M HYBRID system Combined Charging Unit enables AC charging at up
  to 7.4 kW. This means the high-voltage battery can be replenished from
  zero to 100 per cent charge in 4.25 hours. Predictive heat management
  reduces charging times by carefully warming or cooling the battery.</p>
<p>
  <strong>
    <br />V8 engine with cutting-edge M TwinPower Turbo technology and
    high-revving character.</strong></p>
<p>In the BMW XM Label Red, the V8 makes an even greater contribution to
  the system output generated alongside the electric motor when compared
  with the standard model, producing a maximum output of 585 hp at
  5,600 rpm. Peak torque is 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) – an increase of 100 Nm
  (74 lb-ft) over the version of the engine in the standard BMW XM – and
  is on tap across an extremely wide rev band of 1,800 to 5,400 rpm.</p>
<p>With two electronically controlled and continuously adjustable flaps,
  the BMW XM Label Red sports exhaust system provides an emotionally
  rich accompaniment to the engine’s power delivery with a vibrancy and
  energy not normally associated with an eight-cylinder unit. The engine
  sound has a very distinctive quality, as do the two pairs of dual
  tailpipes, with the individual pipes arranged one above the other.</p>
<p>
  <strong>
    <br />Instantaneous power delivery: electric motor with innovative
    pre-gearing stage.</strong></p>
<p>The electric motor contributes up to 197 hp to the maximum system
  output of the BMW XM Label Red and develops nominal torque of 280 Nm
  (206 lb-ft). A pre-gearing stage patented by BMW is used to increase
  the torque produced by the motor to an effective maximum of 450 Nm
  (332 lb-ft) at the transmission input for the motor. In this way, the
  compact motor can provide the sort of torque boost that could normally
  only be achieved using a far larger and heavier unit.</p>
<p>The improved build-up of power resulting from the pre-gearing stage
  between the electric motor’s rotor and the transmission’s input shaft
  can be clearly felt, both when accelerating off the line and when
  putting in a quick burst of speed. The BMW XM Label Red needs just
  3.8 seconds to sprint from 0 to 62 mph. Its top speed is
  electronically limited to 155 mph, rising to 180 mph when the optional
  M Driver’s Package is fitted.</p>
<p>As well as providing an electric boost effect under acceleration, the
  electric motor also performs a supporting role under steady loads,
  helping to increase the efficiency of the combustion engine. This
  gives the BMW XM Label Red average petrol consumption of 166.2 – 176.6
  mpg (WLTP), combined electric power consumption of 34.5 – 33.0 kWh per
  62 miles and CO2 emissions of 39 – 35 grams per kilometre.</p>
<p>
  <strong>
    <br />Supreme traction, captivating performance: M xDrive and M
    Sport differential.</strong></p>
<p>The M xDrive all-wheel-drive system has a rear-biased setup, which
  enhances the agility of the BMW XM Label Red and is particularly
  pronounced in 4WD Sport mode. When the DSC (Dynamic Stability Control)
  system has been fully disengaged, the traction-optimised 4WD Sand mode
  – conceived specifically for driving over dunes and similar surfaces –
  can be activated via the M Setup menu.</p>
<p>Building on the work of the M xDrive system is an electronically
  controlled differential lock in the rear axle, which further enhances
  traction, agility and directional stability. The M Sport differential
  brings a need-based and fully variable distribution of drive torque
  between the left and right rear wheels.</p>
<p>
  <strong>
    <br />Model-specific chassis tuning, integrated transverse dynamics management.</strong></p>
<p>The BMW XM Label Red includes adaptive M suspension Professional –
  featuring electronically controlled dampers and active roll
  stabilisation with Active Roll Comfort to eliminate body roll on one
  side of the vehicle – and Integral Active Steering, all fitted as
  standard. The M Sport braking system comprises six-piston,
  fixed-calliper brakes at the front and single-piston,
  floating-calliper units at the rear. This teams with the latest
  generation integrated braking system, which ensures that stopping
  power generated by recuperation and the friction brake are combined
  with great precision, offering the driver two pedal feel setting selections.</p>
<p>
  <strong>
    <br />Extrovert design with exclusive details.</strong></p>
<p>The distinguishing features of the XM Label Red include an accent
  band in Toronto Red metallic around the side window frames, although a
  black accent band can also be specified. The use of red also extends
  to the model badges and the wheel inserts. The BMW XM Label Red is
  fitted as standard with 22-inch light-alloy wheels. The surrounds for
  the BMW M kidney grille and diffuser elements come in Black high-gloss.</p>
<p>The new model is available in Brooklyn Grey, or customers can also
  choose from more than 50 BMW Individual special paint finishes,
  including the new BMW Individual Urban Green, BMW Individual Petrol
  Mica metallic, BMW Individual Anglesey Green metallic and BMW
  Individual Sepia metallic. The new BMW Individual Visualizer (at <a href="https://individual.bmw-m.com/">https://individual.bmw-m.com/</a>)
  is available for the first time from the start of orders for the BMW
  XM Label Red to help customers with the paint selection process. The
  car is depicted extremely realistically in the paint finish selected
  by the customer and can be viewed from various angles with the aid of
  360-degree video.</p>
<p>A black/red colour scheme also brings a visually appealing and
  sporting flavour to the interior of the BMW XM Label Red. The
  distinctive three-dimensional headliner and the trim for the body
  pillars have black surfaces. Red is used to bring an extra sense of
  exclusivity to the diamond-shaped upper sections of the backrests and
  the integrated head restraints of the seats for the driver and front
  passenger and the outer rear seats. This is complemented by red
  contrast stitching for the black surfaces of the seats, instrument
  panel, door trim and centre console, and the likewise red accents for
  the air vents. Among the other exclusive features of the BMW XM Label
  Red interior are a red “XM” badge below the control display and an
  interior trim strip in Carbon Fibre satin effect with red and blue
  accent threads highlighting this as an M car.</p>
<p>
  <strong>
    <br />BMW XM Label Red Edition.</strong></p>
<p>The BMW XM Label Red Edition – with only 500 being released globally
  – further enhances the exclusivity factor with even more expressive
  styling. Toronto Red metallic for the BMW M kidney grille surround and
  rear diffuser insert create additional design cues that combine with a
  body paint finish in BMW Individual Frozen Carbon Black metallic. The
  contrast of the gloss colour accents against shimmering matt surfaces
  ensures the exterior of the BMW XM Label Red has a particularly
  enthralling effect. Inside the limited-edition variant of the Label
  Red, customers will find a plaque below the control display reading “1
  of 500”.</p>
<p>
  <strong>
    <br />Sports car cockpit with BMW Curved Display; M Lounge in the rear.</strong></p>
<p>The BMW XM Label Red is fitted with all the M-specific equipment from
  the standard model alongside additional Label Red features. The M
  leather steering wheel has trim elements in Black Chrome, plus
  M buttons and gearshift paddles with carbon inlays featuring plus and
  minus symbols in red. An exclusive special feature of the
  BMW XM Label Red is the symbol identifying Boost Mode on the left-hand
  shift paddle.</p>
<p>A generous feeling of space, high-quality materials and extravagant
  design transform the rear of the BMW XM Label Red into an exclusive M
  Lounge. Optionally heated backrests that extend well into the sides of
  the cabin and cushions in Merino leather with red contrast stitching
  and an “XM” badge offer passengers luxurious levels of comfort. The
  headliner is unique with its three-dimensional prism structure, photo
  mount-style border and 100 LED units for illumination. Ambient
  lighting, four-zone automatic climate control, the Harman Kardon
  Surround Sound System and the Travel & Comfort System are all
  standard features too, while the options list includes the Bowers
  & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System featuring a 1,475-watt
  amplifier and four additional speakers in the roof area.</p>
<p>
  <strong>
    <br />Advanced driver assistance systems; BMW Live Cockpit
    Professional as standard.</strong></p>
<p>The BMW XM Label Red offers customers a wide selection of advanced
  systems for automated driving and parking. Among the technologies
  fitted as standard include the Driving Assistant, which comprises
  Front Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning including lane return
  with steering assistance, the Evasion Assistant, Alertness Assistant
  and the Speed Limit Info system. The optional Driving Assistant
  Professional brings Active Cruise Control with Stop&Go function
  together with features such as the Steering and Lane Control
  Assistant, automatic Speed Limit Assist and Active Navigation.</p>
<p>Parking Assistant Plus is also part of the standard specification.
  Alongside the Reversing Assistant, this system adds Parking View,
  front and rear Panorama View and 3D View to the repertoire of functions.</p>
<p>The BMW XM Label Red comes as standard with the BMW Live Cockpit
  Professional, which brings with it the latest generation of the BMW
  iDrive multi-sensory vehicle experience, here based on an M-specific
  version of BMW Operating System 8. With the fully digital screen
  pairing and the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, the new BMW iDrive
  has been deliberately geared towards touch control and gesture control
  as well as dialogue using natural language.</p>

    wheel/tyre size and items of optional equipment selected.</p>
<p>
  **Electronically limited.</p>
<p>
  <strong>New V8 engine with traditional high-revving concept</strong></p>
<p>At the heart of the M HYBRID drive system is a new, high-revving V8
  engine with cutting-edge M TwinPower Turbo technology. The extensively
  updated, 4.4-litre engine features a reinforced crankshaft drive,
  further developed turbocharging mounted close to the exhaust manifold
  with an electrically controlled blow-off valve, a new vane-type oil
  pump and a weight-minimised plastic oil sump. An optimised oil
  separation process with variable impactor enhances the engine’s
  emissions performance.</p>
<p>The new V8 engine stands out with its appetite for revs and
  relentless power across a wide engine speed band. The 650Nm of peak
  torque generated by the combustion engine alone is on tap from
  1,600-5,000rpm, with maximum output of 489hp at 5,400rpm, making it
  the largest contributor to the total output of 653hp and 800Nm of
  torque. The drive system can hit a maximum 7,200rpm.</p>
<p>Power delivery is accompanied by distinctive acoustics governed by
  two electronically controlled flaps in the sports exhaust system; the
  engaging sound is also channelled into the cabin via the audio system.</p>
<p>Unique mounts connect the drive system with the front axle and the
  body, preventing vibrations from making their way into the interior.</p>
<p>
  <strong>Electric motor delivers instantaneous power delivery</strong></p>
<p>The V8 engine in the BMW XM is supported by a permanently excited
  synchronous motor integrated into the eight-speed M Steptronic
  transmission. The electric motor contributes up to 197hp to the
  maximum output of 653hp, while its 280Nm combines with the combustion
  engine’s 650Nm to achieve a combined 800Nm. A pre-gearing stage is
  used to increase the electric motor’s torque to 450Nm at the
  transmission input, enabling the electric motor to generate propulsive
  power that could normally only be achieved using a far larger unit. As
  a result, the BMW XM accelerates from 0 to 62mph in 4.3
  seconds* and from rest to 124mph in 14.3
  seconds*. Top speed is electronically limited to 155mph,
  rising to 168mph if the optional M Driver’s Package is specified.</p>
<p>As well as providing an electric boost under acceleration, the
  electric motor performs a supporting role under steady loads, helping
  to increase the efficiency of the engine. This gives the BMW XM
  average fuel consumption of up to 188.3mpg in the WLTP test cycle,
  combined electric power consumption of 28.9kWh per 62
  miles* and CO2 emissions as low as 33g/km.*</p>
<p>The BMW XM’s electric motor allows it to cover 51 – 55
  miles* (WLTP) in near-silence and with zero local
  emissions. The top speed in pure-electric mode is 87mph.</p>
<p>
  <strong>BMW XM LABEL RED: ultimate performance with up to 1,000Nm</strong></p>
<p>BMW M GmbH will launch the most powerful road-legal series-produced
  car in its history in autumn 2023. The M HYBRID drive system in the
  BMW XM LABEL RED elevates output to a new high of 748hp*
  with maximum torque of 1,000Nm*. The BMW XM LABEL RED is
  powered by a 585hp* version of the new high-revving V8
  engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology. Peak torque rises to
  750Nm*, sustained all the way from 1,800 to
  5,400rpm*. Maximum output is generated at
  5,800rpm*. The drive system in the BMW XM LABEL RED
  impresses with its ability to serve up large reserves of power in an
  instant, at any time, across a wide rpm band, and into the higher
  reaches of the rev range.</p>
<p>
  <strong>Fifth-generation BMW eDrive technology</strong></p>
<p>The interplay between the combustion engine and electric motor is
  controlled by the M HYBRID system’s power electronics. For example,
  intelligent energy management allows the battery charge level to be
  regulated so that the final stretch of a long journey can be covered
  using only electric power.</p>
<p>Its low installation height allows the lithium-ion battery to be
  mounted in the underbody of the BMW XM. It provides a constant flow of
  power across a wide temperature range and even under the heavy demands
  of sporty driving. It offers a usable energy content of 25.7kWh.</p>
<p>
  <strong>Combined Charging Unit with predictive heat management</strong></p>
<p>The Combined Charging Unit of the M HYBRID system enables AC charging
  at up to 7.4kW, replenishing the battery from 0 to 100% in 4.25 hours.
  The Combined Charging Unit also acts as a voltage transformer to
  supply the 12V electrical system. Predictive heat management reduces
  charging times by warming or cooling the battery, using a variety of
  data to calculate the temperature at which the high-voltage battery
  can be charged at maximum power for the longest possible time.</p>
<p>The charging socket on the BMW XM has a sensor that measures the
  temperature at the plug contacts to detect possible overheating at an
  early stage, and includes a handy light so that customers can easily
  hook up their car in the dark. A stylish storage bag for the charging
  cable is made exclusively for the BMW XM and secured in the boot area
  using a crash-protective carabiner-belt combination.</p>
<p>
  <strong>Eight-speed M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic and
    integrated hybrid module</strong></p>
<p>The new eight-speed M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic
  channels not only the power generated by the combustion engine but
  also the drive torque from the integrated electric motor. The hybrid
  module additionally acts as an integrated drive-off element and allows
  the car to move at walking pace without the driver pressing the
  accelerator and bringing the combustion engine into play.</p>
<p>A wet multi-plate separation clutch manages the smooth engagement and
  disengagement of the combustion engine. Its low drag torque allows the
  clutch to be open when driving in pure-electric mode. The separation
  clutch can take torsional vibrations generated by the combustion
  engine out of the equation using micro-slip control. In combination
  with the integrated torsional vibration damper system, this helps to
  ensure high levels of acoustic comfort at low revs, in particular.</p>
<p>The M Steptronic transmission enables fully automatic gear changes
  and manual shifting with sequential selection. Steering wheel-mounted
  gearshift paddles are standard. The transmission’s characteristics can
  be varied in three stages using the Drivelogic button integrated into
  the M-specific selector lever.</p>
<p>The eight-speed M Steptronic transmission also has a Launch Control
  function to enable traction-optimised acceleration off the line. The
  engine control unit governs both the Launch Control’s release logic
  and the slip-optimised limitation of drive torque.</p>
<p>
  <strong>Three driving modes for maximum performance and unbeatable efficiency</strong></p>
<p>The interplay between the combustion engine and electric motor in the
  BMW XM can be adjusted using the M HYBRID button on the control panel
  in the centre console. HYBRID is the default setting and delivers the
  full output of combustion engine and electric motor in tandem. The
  contribution of each depends on the configuration selected from the M
  Setup menu. In COMFORT, the electric motor is used to the full. If the
  battery is low, the generator function uses the engine to feed
  additional power into the battery, extending the opportunities for
  pure-electric driving. In Sport and Sport Plus modes, the combustion
  engine is permanently active. In ELECTRIC mode, the BMW XM uses only
  the electric drive system and is capable of a locally emission-free
  87mph top speed. The combustion engine is only activated under
  kickdown or in the transmission’s manual mode. The eCONTROL mode
  offers the option to maintain the charge of the battery or to increase
  it by means of energy recuperation, saving battery capacity for
  pure-electric driving in urban areas, for example.</p>
<p>
  <strong>One engine, one electric motor, four driven wheels: the M
    xDrive system</strong></p>
<p>The BMW XM’s all-wheel-drive system splits the powertrain’s output
  between all four wheels as required. An electronically controlled
  multi-plate clutch ensures fully variable distribution of power
  between the front and rear axle. The system’s default mode is 4WD, but
  two other modes can also be selected via the M Setup menu. In 4WD
  Sport mode, the proportion of drive sent to the rear wheels is
  increased to deliver sporty handling.</p>
<p>
  <strong>Model-specific rear axle differential with M Sport differential</strong></p>
<p>The M Sport differential brings a fully variable distribution of
  drive torque between the left and right rear wheels, planting power
  firmly on the road. Shifting power to the wheel on the outside of the
  corner nips understeer in the bud without the need for brake inputs.
  The M xDrive system and M Sport differential are linked with DSC to
  ensure they work together as the situation demands. The BMW XM has a
  model-specific rear axle differential tuned to the high torque of its
  M HYBRID drive system.</p>
<p>
  <strong>Sophisticated chassis technology with bespoke tuning</strong></p>
<p>The sophisticated chassis technology found in the BMW XM includes a
  double-wishbone front axle with high levels of rigidity, while the use
  of aluminium components brings about a reduction in unsprung masses. A
  second level of control arms for wheel guidance means the dampers are
  almost completely isolated from lateral forces, improving damper response.</p>
<p>The five-link rear axle ensures precise wheel guidance and
  outstanding straight-line poise, together with impressive ride comfort
  thanks to its elastic mounting. The sheet-steel construction of its
  links reduce weight, as do the aluminium wheel carriers, forged upper
  control arms and aluminium rear-axle subframe. The camber arms with
  aerodynamically optimised panelling form an integral part of the
  sealed underbody, helping to lower aerodynamic drag and substantially
  reduce rear axle lift.</p>
<p>
  <strong>Specially configured electronically controlled dampers</strong></p>
<p>The BMW XM comes as standard with adaptive M suspension Professional.
  It combines electronically controlled dampers and active roll
  stabilisation, two systems that enable the car to handle with even
  greater composure on uneven roads or in extremely dynamic situations.</p>
<p>The BMW XM is equipped with steel springs designed to offer high
  levels of roll and vertical stabilisation while also minimising
  weight. Linear springs at the front and progressive springs at the
  rear, the latter with very long rebound travel and high oscillation
  rates, benefit traction and comfort.</p>
<p>The electronically controlled dampers take into account data on body
  movement, road surface conditions and steering movements. This data
  allows the damping forces for each wheel to be adapted in milliseconds
  using electromagnetic valves. Adjusting the damper forces at each
  wheel enhances traction and braking, while the adaptive suspension
  contributes to the remarkable levels of ride comfort.</p>
<p>Drivers are able to alter the basic damper setting in the M Setup
  menu. Comfort mode offers excellent long-distance comfort while Sport
  activates a firmer setup that is geared towards sporty driving with
  increased traction. Sport Plus mode, meanwhile, is designed for highly
  dynamic driving situations.</p>
<p>
  <strong>Active roll stabilisation with Active Roll Comfort</strong></p>
<p>The electromechanical roll stabilisation system found on the BMW XM
  uses a 48V electric motor as an active connection between the two
  halves of the anti-roll bar at both the front and rear axle. A
  dedicated 48V electrical system made up of supercapacitors supplies
  energy to the electric motors. The system improves agility,
  directional accuracy and handling precision.</p>
<p>The active roll stabilisation also increases comfort when driving in
  a straight line by decoupling the connection provided by a
  conventional anti-roll bar. This has the effect of correcting body
  roll when driving over surface imperfections on one side of the
  vehicle, lessening the associated side-to-side head movements they can
  cause. The Active Roll Comfort function goes further by actively
  suppressing rolling movements caused by bumps in the road on one side
  of the car, rather than just reduce them.</p>
<p>
  <strong>Premiere in a BMW M model: Integral Active Steering</strong></p>
<p>Combining speed-sensitive power assistance and a variable steering
  ratio, the M Servotronic steering on the BMW XM stands out with its
  excellent directional accuracy, precise feedback and impressive
  comfort. The M Setup menu offers a choice of two settings for sporty
  or comfort-oriented steering.</p>
<p>Standard specification also includes a first for a BMW M model in the
  form of Integral Active Steering. Turning the rear wheels as well as
  the fronts makes light work of manoeuvring and turning, increases
  agility at moderate speeds and enhances poise and assurance at high
  speeds, especially when changing lanes. In challenging driving
  situations, stabilising steering inputs at the rear wheels can help to
  keep the BMW XM safely on track. Steering the rear wheels in the
  opposite direction at low speeds reduces the turning circle noticeably
  and facilitates manoeuvring.</p>
<p>
  <strong>Integrated braking system, bespoke M Sport brakes</strong></p>
<p>The latest-generation integrated braking system in the BMW XM brings
  together the brake activation, brake booster and braking control
  functions within a compact module. The required brake pressure is
  triggered using an electric actuator, translating braking requests
  into very short stopping distances. The system also combines energy
  recuperation and friction braking with superb pedal feel in all situations.</p>
<p>Two pedal feel settings offer comfort or very direct execution of
  brake pedal inputs in the M Setup menu. The bespoke M Sport brakes
  comprise six-piston, fixed-calliper brakes at the front and
  single-piston, floating-calliper units at the rear. Improved
  lightweight discs strike an even finer balance between performance and
  weight and have been engineered specifically for the BMW XM.</p>
<p>
  <strong>Near-actuator wheel slip limitation, integrated transverse
    dynamics management</strong></p>
<p>The near-actuator wheel slip limitation maximises stability even in
  adverse conditions. This traction control system is integrated into
  the engine management, eliminating the long signal paths to the DSC
  control unit. This allows corrective inputs to be applied up to ten
  times faster than in conventional systems. Because the near-actuator
  wheel slip limitation function nips any loss of traction in the bud,
  the DSC system has to intervene far less frequently.</p>
<p>This function is networked with the central transverse dynamics
  management, along with the Performance Control function, M xDrive
  all-wheel-drive system, M Sport differential, active roll
  stabilisation and the steering’s control systems, ensuring that all
  the functions act in coordination.</p>
<p>
  <strong>Availability of 23-inch M light-alloy wheels and sports tyres</strong></p>
<p>21-inch M light-alloy wheels fitted with mixed-size high-performance
  tyres – 275/45 R21 at the front and 315/40 R21 at the rear – come as
  standard on the BMW XM. Further M light-alloy wheels in 22- and
  23-inch formats can be found on the options list.</p>
<p>
  <strong>Unparalleled vehicle concept, innovative design language</strong></p>
<p>The exterior dimensions of the BMW XM underscore its impressive
  visual impact. The car’s body is 5,110mm in length, and its wheelbase
  measures 3,105mm. At 2,005mm, the BMW XM is wider than any other model
  in BMW’s model range, and it stands 1,755mm tall. The unusually wide
  tracks (1,726mm at the front, 1,690mm at the rear) feed into the
  unshakable roadholding. With large, clearly designed surfaces
  including a small number of short, structure-giving lines, the
  exterior design of the BMW XM takes its cues from BMW’s modern design language.</p>
<p>Alongside the fresh interpretation of the twin headlights and BMW M
  kidney grille, the large front air intakes are a defining feature of
  the BMW XM. The sensor and camera systems for the driver assistance
  tech are integrated discreetly into the front apron. The standard
  Adaptive LED Headlights are split into two separate areas. The daytime
  driving lights, side lights and turn indicators, each consisting of
  two LED units, appear to shine straight out of the lens covers. The
  low-beam and high-beam headlights, positioned in the lower, darkened
  area of the headlight units embedded in the front apron, only become
  visible when switched on. As standard, they also include the cornering
  light function and matrix high beam with BMW Selective Beam
  non-dazzling High-beam Assistant.</p>
<p>The two elements of the BMW M kidney grille stand out from the
  surrounding surfaces. The outer border of each kidney is gold in
  colour, while the inner surround provides contour lighting in the form
  of a – for the first time, unbroken – light ring. The surface design
  of the sculpted bonnet also picks up on the contours of the BMW M
  kidney grille. Out of this emerges sharply cut flanks, a pair of power
  domes and a central indent, at the front of which is the BMW logo.</p>
<p>
  <strong>Dynamic silhouette, distinctive accents with historical references</strong></p>
<p>The long bonnet and stretched passenger cell of the BMW XM form a
  distinctive two-box design. The raked windscreen and long rearward
  swooping roofline emphasise the coupé-like character. Its sporting
  aura is accentuated by a side window graphic that tapers towards the
  rear, bordered by a gold-coloured accent band. This feature with
  historical references brings a distinctive flourish to the sides of
  the car. Similar to the black strip running along the body of the BMW
  M1, the BMW XM has an accent band emerging from the front wheel
  arches, bearing “XM” lettering. As it approaches the D-pillar, the
  band turns upwards in a fresh imagining of the Hofmeister kink.</p>
<p>Borders painted in Black high-gloss along the body’s lower edges and
  around the wheel arches underscore the BMW XM’s ground clearance. The
  M exterior mirrors have a distinctive design with aerodynamically
  optimised contouring. The mirror caps and bases are painted in Black.</p>
<p>
  <strong>Muscular rear end with bold design features</strong></p>
<p>Another nod to the BMW M1 can be found at the rear. There is a
  notable indent at the rear of the BMW XM’s roof and BMW logos have
  been engraved into the rear window. A special laser engraving
  technique ensures the logos stand out against the dark glass surface.
  Their arrangement recalls the BMW roundels positioned at the rear end
  of the legendary BMW M1.</p>
<p>The flat, near seamlessly fitted rear window and flared wheel arches
  accentuate the powerful stature of the BMW XM. The slim rear lights
  jut out strikingly from the body, creating an attention-grabbing L
  shape and extending well into the sides of the car. Like the turn
  indicators, the red of the rear lights only becomes visible when they
  are switched on. Three diagonal light strips on the flanks reference
  the BMW M GmbH brand logo, while their louvred structure recalls the
  rear view of the BMW M1.</p>
<p>Vertically arranged reflectors border the rear apron at either side.
  The diffuser elements integrated into the lower section of the rear
  apron are painted in Black high-gloss and framed by gold-coloured
  surrounds. A pair of tailpipes protrude from either side of the
  diffuser. This familiar design cue of M models has been reimagined for
  the BMW XM, with the hexagonal tailpipe trims stacked vertically for
  the first time. Model-specific air-directing elements in the underbody
  provide additional cooling for the exhaust system, ensuring optimal
  operating temperature at all times.</p>
<p>
  <strong>Over 50 BMW Individual special paint finishes to be available</strong></p>
<p>Seven paint shades are available, including a stylish BMW Individual
  finish, with further options expected to be added to the selection in
  summer 2023. Customers will then also be able to choose from more than
  50 BMW Individual special paint finishes.</p>
<p>The BMW XM can be ordered as an option with BMW Individual high-gloss
  Shadowline exterior trim with extended features, applying Black
  high-gloss to the accent band along the sides of the car, the BMW M
  kidney grille’s outer border and the surrounds for the diffuser elements.</p>
<p>
  <strong>M-specific controls and M multifunction seats for race car
    feel and long-distance comfort</strong></p>
<p>Like the M-specific graphics of the BMW Curved Display and standard
  BMW Head-Up Display, the design of the controls enhances the racing
  feel in the driver’s seat. The model-specific M leather steering wheel
  features M buttons and shift paddles with carbon inlays and red plus
  and minus symbols. Trim elements in Black Chrome give the
  multifunction buttons a sophisticated look. The gear selector lever
  with its distinctive cut-out, integrated cascade lighting and
  Drivelogic buttons, centre console knee pads, M pedals and M driver’s
  footrest create the perfect BMW M recipe. The standard specification
  also includes illuminated brushed aluminium front and rear door sill
  plates bearing the M logo.</p>
<p>The BMW XM features M multifunction front seats as standard with
  electric adjustment for the seat position, head restraint height,
  thigh support, backrest angle, backrest width and backrest upper
  section, plus an illuminated M logo on the head restraints, pneumatic
  lumbar support adjustment and memory function. Seat heating is
  standard, along with seat ventilation and massage function for the
  front seats.</p>
<p>High-quality interior surfaces contribute to the cockpit’s exclusive
  appearance. The BMW Curved Display sits on a matt carbon decorative
  surface, repeated on the centre console, while M-typical carbon
  elements in the instrument panel combine with wide air vent surrounds
  in Pearl-effect Chrome. The surrounds of the outer air vents directly
  border the metal surfaces of the door control panels, also finished in
  Pearl-effect Chrome. The door openers and buttons for the electric
  windows, seat adjustment and memory function, central locking and
  tailgate opener, are all positioned on these panels.</p>
<p>
  <strong>Exclusive M Lounge luxury for rear seat occupants</strong></p>
<p>A generous feeling of space, high-quality materials and extravagant
  design transform the rear of the BMW XM into an exclusive M Lounge.
  The rear seat bench offers two outer seats with high levels of comfort
  and a full-size space for a third centre passenger. Three-dimensional
  diamond quilting that extends into the door trim panels,
  diamond-shaped contours on the upper section of the backrest and
  integral head restraints give the rear seats a sporty appearance. The
  sides of the backrests extend into the door trim panels, enabling
  passengers in the outer rear seats to face towards each other. The
  included seat heating for the M Lounge includes these side panels as
  well as the seat surfaces and backrests. Quilted Alcantara cushions in
  the same colour as the seats with an inscribed M logo are also included.</p>
<p>The integrated middle seat armrest features cup holders with a
  cut-out that enables them to hold smartphones. A bespoke entertainment
  programme can be set up in the rear of the BMW XM with the standard
  Travel & Comfort System. Rear passengers can use the quick
  connectors on the backrests of the front seats with the Original BMW
  Accessories range to secure tablets and other personal devices. USB-C
  ports are also integrated into the backrests to charge these devices.</p>
<p>The three-dimensional prism structure of the BMW XM’s headliner, its
  Alcantara surface and discreet illumination give the interior an
  extravagant flavour. The headliner is bordered by more Alcantara
  surfaces that reach all the way to the front, rear and side window areas.</p>
<p>The standard ambient lighting includes discreet LED illumination for
  the instrument panel, centre console, door trim panels, footwells,
  speaker trim, and headliner. Fibre-optic light guides containing 100
  LED units are integrated into the headliner’s border to enable
  constant or dynamic light effects within its sculptural design. The
  headliner illumination plays a central role in the Welcome and Goodbye
  show, while pulses of light signal an incoming phone call or the risk
  of a collision when opening a door.</p>
<p>Enhancing the feeling of privacy in the M Lounge, the BMW XM features
  a new generation sun protection glazing for the rear side windows
  which permits just 5% visible light transmission, offering protection
  for the interior against prying eyes. Acoustic glazing for the front
  and rear side windows also keeps ambient noise out of the cabin.</p>
<p>
  <strong>Vintage leather adds unique touch to interior surfaces and materials</strong></p>
<p>Standard specification consists of BMW Individual Merino leather with
  interior and seat surfaces in Black and contrast stitching in Black
  Grey, while the upper section of the instrument panel and door
  shoulders are covered in black soft nappa leather. Like the headliner,
  the A, B and C pillars are also covered in Alcantara. Imitation
  leather with high-quality graining is used in the lower sections of
  the instrument panel and door trim panels as well as on the back of
  the front seats. BMW Individual Merino leather is available as an
  option with surfaces in Sakhir Orange for the seats, the centre
  console and the lower sections of the instrument panel and door trim panels.</p>
<p>The optional BMW Individual Merino leather trim with exclusive
  features is available in two colour combinations and provides an
  extravagant flourish. The seat surfaces, centre console, lower
  sections of the instrument panel and door trim panels, sculptural
  headliner and cushions for the rear passengers can be specified in
  either Silverstone or Deep Lagoon as an option.</p>
<p>Providing contrast are interior surfaces in Coffee Brown Vintage
  leather for the upper sections of the instrument and door trim panels,
  which have been processed using a new technique which deliberately
  emphasises the material’s natural characteristics rather than
  concealing them.</p>
<p>
  <strong>First-class comfort and functionality</strong></p>
<p>The BMW XM features four-zone automatic climate control as standard.
  The cockpit’s central vents are extremely slim, slot-type items, while
  each of the outer air vents feature three slats in Black high-gloss. A
  separate control panel allows rear passengers to select their desired
  temperature independently. A standard nanoparticle filter keeps the
  air inside the vehicle free of virus-sized particles and allergens.</p>
<p>A completely flat storage compartment can be found under the boot
  lid, which opens and closes automatically. The rear of the load
  compartment cover is fixed to the boot lid and swings upwards when
  opened. Folding the rear 40:20:40 split backrest expands load capacity
  from 527 to 1,820 litres.</p>
<p>The standard Harman Kardon Surround Sound System consists of 16
  speakers delivering 415W. The optional Bowers & Wilkins Diamond
  Surround Sound System with 20 speakers and 1,500W amplifier further
  elevates the listening experience. A digital seven-channel amplifier
  and four additional sound sources in the roof area generate a
  multi-layered 3D sound experience for all occupants.</p>
<p>
  <strong>BMW IconicSounds Electric adds an unmistakeable range of sounds</strong></p>
<p>The BMW XM features BMW IconicSounds Electric as standard. Pressing
  the start/stop button initiates an inspiring acoustic tone that
  signals the car is ready to drive. During the journey, the M-specific
  electric drive sound provides feedback to every movement of the
  accelerator pedal.</p>
<p>The car’s soundtrack was developed as part of a collaboration between
  the BMW Group and film score composer Hans Zimmer. For the first time,
  the power delivery of the motor retains its aural accompaniment when
  the combustion engine is running. In Sport or Sport Plus drive system
  mode, a distinctive boost sound offers an acoustic experience of the
  electric motor’s performance.</p>
<p>
  <strong>Comprehensive driver assistance systems for ultimate comfort
    and safety</strong></p>
<p>Standard specification includes Driving Assistant, which comprises
  Front Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning including lane return
  with steering assistance, Evasion Assistant, Alertness Assistant and
  Speed Limit Info system including no-overtaking indicator and manual
  Speed Limit Assist.</p>
<p>The optional Driving Assistant Professional introduces Active Cruise
  Control with Stop&Go function and the Steering and Lane Control
  Assistant. With the automatic Speed Limit Assist, route monitoring,
  traffic light recognition and Active Navigation, speed and steering
  movements can be adapted precisely to any traffic situation. The range
  of functions also includes the Emergency Lane and Emergency Stop
  Assistant, the Lane Change Assistant and Crossing Traffic Warning.</p>
<p>Parking Assistant Plus – included as standard – takes care of parking
  manoeuvres either parallel or perpendicular to the road. Its range of
  functions also includes Park Distance Control Active (PDC), Reversing
  Assist Camera and Reversing Assistant. Parking Assistant Plus adds
  Parking View, front and rear Panorama View and 3D View to the
  repertoire of functions. The driver can record high-definition videos
  up to 60 seconds in length while driving through spectacular
  countryside, for example, and then save them to a connected USB
  device. When triggered, the Anti-Theft Recorder activates the cameras
  on the front, rear and exterior mirrors of the BMW XM and sends a
  message to the customer’s smartphone.</p>
<p>
  <strong>BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant with new skills</strong></p>
<p>BMW Operating System 8 unlocks additional skills for the BMW
  Intelligent Personal Assistant. Naturally formulated spoken
  instructions can now be used to adjust the air conditioning or control
  the driver assistance systems. When the BMW Intelligent Personal
  Assistant is in use, graphics appear in the display in the right
  position for whoever is speaking, visualising how the system is listening.</p>
<p>
  <strong>YouTube streaming on the control display</strong></p>
<p>The driver and front passenger in the BMW XM can enjoy
  video-on-demand services on the control display (est. from summer
  2023), allowing them to pass the time while waiting for the vehicle to
  recharge or be refuelled. Starting with YouTube, the range of
  available services is set to expand as the BMW Group adds further
  third-party apps.</p>
<p>
  <strong>BMW Digital Key Plus is a full-functionality car key</strong></p>
<p>The optional BMW Digital Key Plus enables customers to automatically
  lock and unlock their new BMW XM with their Apple iPhone using
  security-enhanced ultra-wideband (UWB) radio technology. There is no
  need to even remove their iPhone from their pocket as they approach
  the car. The owner can share BMW Digital Key Plus and therefore access
  to the vehicle with up to five other users.</p>
<p>
  <strong>Personalisation using the BMW ID and My BMW App</strong></p>
<p>The BMW ID can now be used to store and share more personalised
  settings between vehicles, while the My BMW App acts as a universal
  digital interface, providing information on the vehicle’s status at
  any time, even permitting monitoring of the car’s immediate vicinity
  (Remote 3D View).</p>
