  <strong>Munich</strong>. With the BMW M 1000 RR Limited Edition Isle
  of Man TT, BMW Motorrad introduces a special model limited to 115
  units to mark the 115th running of the Isle of Man Tourist Trophy in
  2026. The edition is based on the BMW M 1000 RR M Competition and
  combines exclusive TT design elements with carefully selected
  equipment features and collector attributes. </p>
<p>
  <em>A limited number of the BMW M 1000 RR Limited Edition Isle of Man
    TT models will be introduced in South Africa in the third quarter of 2026. </em>
  <br clear="all" />
  <br clear="all" />Markus Flasch, CEO of BMW Motorrad, said: “Racing is
  part of BMW Motorrad’s DNA. The BMW M 1000 RR Limited Edition Isle of
  Man TT is therefore the logical evolution of a special model based on
  the BMW M 1000 RR. This model bridges our successful TT heritage and
  our M models, and is a strong expression of racing DNA, technical
  precision and exclusivity.”<br clear="all" />
  <br clear="all" />With this edition limited to 115 units, BMW Motorrad
  pays tribute to one of the most historic and demanding road races in
  the world. Key features include the British Racing Green Uni Matt
  paint finish, selected Mountain Course graphics, and sequential
  numbering with a certificate of authenticity.<br clear="all" />
  <br clear="all" />
  <strong>Design: distinctive, precise and authentic<br clear="all" />
    <br clear="all" />
  </strong>The design of the Limited Edition is consistently aligned
  with TT DNA: British Racing Green Uni Matt meets specific TT graphics
  featuring selected sections of the TT Mountain Course – left-hand
  turns on the left, right-hand turns on the right fairing side. A
  carbon airbox cover with TT course and TT logo, further carefully
  placed details, and a seat in Alcantara finish underscore the
  motorsport character. The aluminium tank with graphic accents
  completes the premium appearance.<br clear="all" />
  <br clear="all" />
  <strong>Equipment of the Limited Edition<br clear="all" />
    <br clear="all" />
  </strong>The special edition is based on the BMW M 1000 RR with M
  Competition package (without pillion package). In addition, it
  features exclusive edition-specific elements:</p>

</ul>
<p>The BMW M 1000 RR Limited Edition Isle of Man TT is aimed at
  customers who combine uncompromising performance with a clear focus on
  exclusivity and collector value.<br clear="all" />
  <br clear="all" />
  <strong>Homage to the Isle of Man Tourist Trophy<br clear="all" />
    <br clear="all" />
  </strong>For decades, the Tourist Trophy has stood for outstanding
  rider skill, maximum precision and exceptional technical performance.
  BMW Motorrad has a close connection to this history – from Georg
  Meier’s legendary TT victory in 1939 to current successes on the S
  1000 RR and M 1000 RR. The Limited Edition takes up this heritage and
  translates it into a distinctive, exclusive production model.<br clear="all" />
  <br clear="all" />
  <strong>BMW Motorrad and the TT: historical milestones<br clear="all" />
    <br clear="all" />
  </strong>In 1939, Georg Meier won the Senior TT on the BMW RS 255
  Kompressor. In 1976, another major TT success followed: Helmut Dähne,
  together with Hans-Otto Butenuth, won the 1,000 cc Production class on
  the BMW R 90 S. In the modern era, BMW Motorrad has continued this
  tradition on the Mountain Course with the S 1000 RR, and later the M
  1000 RR.<br clear="all" />
  <br clear="all" />
  <strong>Successes since 2014<br clear="all" />
    <br clear="all" />
  </strong>Since the introduction of the RR models in the modern TT era,
  BMW Motorrad has repeatedly demonstrated its competitiveness on the
  Mountain Course. Michael Dunlop achieved a breakthrough in the 1,000
  cc class on the BMW S 1000 RR in 2014. <br clear="all" />Peter Hickman
  shaped the more recent period of success with multiple victories,
  including a hat-trick in 2022 in the Superbike, Superstock and Senior
  TT races on BMW motorcycles. In 2025, Davey Todd further underlined
  the performance of the BMW M 1000 RR with a Superbike victory and
  additional strong results in the 1,000 cc classes. A particularly
  striking testament to current performance is the overall all-time lap
  record on the TT Mountain Course set in 2023: 16:36.115 minutes with
  an average speed of 136.358 mph (approx. 219.4 km/h), achieved by
  Peter Hickman on a BMW M 1000 RR in Superstock specification.<br clear="all" />
  <br clear="all" />
  <strong>Limitation and availability<br clear="all" />
    <br clear="all" />
  </strong>The M 1000 RR Limited Edition Isle of Man TT will be produced
  in a strictly limited run of 115 units, further emphasising its
  exclusive collector character.<br clear="all" />

  performance icon, but as a market leader across both two and four
  wheels. For the first time, BMW South Africa and BMW Motorrad South
  Africa have teamed up to develop twin editions that show off their
  family connections. The collaboration sees both brands introduce
  special editions of their high-performance models, enhanced with
  additional M character, strong personalisation and offered only in
  South Africa.</p>
<p>The BMW M2 Coupé <em>RR Edition</em> and BMW M 1000 RR <em>M2
  Edition</em> (along with the BMW S 1000 RR <em>M2 Edition</em>) are
  available to order exclusively in South Africa. The 10 BMW M2 Coupe
    <em>RR Editions</em> and BMW M 1000 RR / S 1000 RR <em>M2
  Editions</em> are distinguished by black paintwork with striking red
  accents, alongside distinct BMW M branding (where applicable). </p>
<p>
  <strong>The BMW S 1000 RR <em>M2 Edition</em> and BMW M 1000 RR <em>M2 Edition</em></strong></p>
<p>South Africa’s best-selling sports motorcycle, the BMW S 1000 RR
  gains distinct red accents to set it apart from standard S 1000 RRs.
  All units of the BMW S 1000 RR M2 Edition are finished in Black Storm
  Metallic with red accents on the front fairing and the passenger seat
  cover. It gains a tinted windscreen, M-embossed seat and red-accented
  Design Option Wheels.</p>
<p>Based on the pinnacle of BMW sports motorcycles, the M 1000 RR <em>M2
  Edition</em> finished in Black Storm Metallic features red accents on
  its distinctive M carbon wheel rims, on the fuel tank, front fairings.
  The distinctive front M winglets bear the RR insignia in a striking
  red finish.</p>
<p>Both BMW S 1000 RR <em>M2 Edition</em> and BMW M 1000 RR <em>M2
  Editions</em> see the distinctive RR logos on their front side
  fairings finished in bright red. Similarly, they are both offered with
  Akrapovič exhaust systems. Both are technically identical to the <a href="https://newsroom.bmwgroup.com/global/en">BMW
    S 1000 RR and BMW M 1000 RR</a> models on which they are based.</p>
<p>Available immediately, the BMW S 1000 RR <em>M2 Edition</em> is
  R406,950.00, while the BMW M 1000 RR <em>M2 Edition</em> costs
  R882,100.00. For more information, please visit <a href="https://www.bmw-motorrad.co.za/en/experience/bmw_rr_local_edition.html">bmw-motorrad.co.za</a>. </p>
<p>
  <strong>BMW M2 Coupé <em>RR Edition</em></strong></p>
<p>Mechanically, the BMW M2 Coupé <em>RR Edition</em> is identical to
  the current <a href="https://newsroom.bmwgroup.com/global/en">BMW
    M2 Coupé</a> with its signature 353-kW high-revving six-cylinder
  in-line petrol engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology.</p>
<p>It is, however, distinguished by its Black Sapphire Metallic
  paintwork, M Performance suspension (with red springs) lower by 20mm,
  and M Performance wheels with a Jet Black finish. Dimensions are
  20-inch at the front axle, and 21-inch at the rear. Aerodynamic
  ability is bolstered by front and rear splitters painted black with
  red inserts. At the rear, two spoilers adorn the BMW M2 Coupé <em>RR
  Edition</em>: a roof spoiler finished in black, and a flowthrough boot
  spoiler finished in black with a red stripe as accent. A specially
  customised Akrapovič exhaust has been developed for this Edition.</p>
<p>In the cabin, the seats are black with red bolsters and red contrast
  stitching, inspired by the steering wheel’s red centre marker in the
  12 o’clock position and two M buttons for selecting individually
  configured vehicle setups. Another distinguishing feature on all RR
  Editions is the standard sunroof, which is only available for this Edition.</p>
<p>Five six-speed manual, and five eight-speed M Steptronic transmission
  with Drivelogic units will be offered once the models become available
  in the fourth quarter of 2026. Final pricing will be determined at
  launch.  </p>

  <strong>The new BMW M 1000 RR, BMW S 1000 RR, BMW M 1000 R, and BMW S
    1000 R: The superbikes and hyper naked bikes are set to enter the
    upcoming season with even more dynamism.<br /></strong>Both the
  superbikes M 1000 RR and S 1000 RR, as well as the emotional hyper
  naked bikes M 1000 R and S 1000 R, have been technically and visually
  updated and come with expanded standard features for the upcoming
  motorcycle season. Common changes include the Euro 5+ homologation of
  the engines and the inclusion of the M short-stroke throttle with a
  reduced rotation angle.</p>
<p>
  <strong>BMW M 1000 RR: Drastically Increased Performance through More
    Power, Enhanced Downforce, and Steering Angle Sensor Technology.</strong></p>
<p>The new M 1000 RR – abbreviated as M RR – benefits from a significant
  power increase of the inline-four engine by 4 kW (6 hp) to 160 kW (218
  hp) thanks to an extensive package of measures.</p>
<p>Additionally, it features optimised aerodynamics through a newly
  designed front fairing. The newly constructed M Winglets 3.0, with
  drastically increased downforce, support even faster lap times on the
  racetrack. Furthermore, the Flex Frame has been further developed and
  now includes a new engine mount on the left side.</p>
<p>BMW Motorrad has also made improvements to the control systems. The
  Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) now features the new Slide Control
  function thanks to steering angle sensor technology. This has resulted
  in a new subdivision of the DTC into Slip Control and Slide Control.
  The introduction of steering angle sensor technology has also led to
  the new Brake Slide Assist function of the BMW Race ABS Pro. Combined
  with the M short-stroke throttle, this results in significantly
  increased performance and control.</p>
<p>As before, the new M RR is offered in two versions: the M 1000 RR
  base variant in the primary colour Lightwhite uni and the<br />M 1000
  RR M Competition in the primary colour Blackstorm metallic, each
  combined with graphics in M colors.</p>
<p>
  <strong>BMW S 1000 RR: Even higher track performance and significantly
    enhanced standard features.<br /></strong>The S 1000 RR –
  abbreviated as Double-R – has been significantly refined, especially
  for track use. The M short-stroke throttle allows the S 1000 RR to
  respond even more directly to every command at the throttle, new
  winglets provide increased downforce, a new front wheel cover with
  integrated brake ducts improves brake cooling, and new fairing side
  panels offer a more striking design.</p>
<p>Additionally, the standard features of the Double-R have been
  significantly enhanced. The Pro riding modes are now standard,
  including additional "Race Pro" modes, two more combinations
  of throttle response and engine torque, as well as the Engine Brake
  and Hill Start Control Pro functions, five-level adjustable ABS in the
  "Race Pro" modes, and the ABS setting "Slick." The
  Dynamic Brake Control (DBC) is also a new standard feature.</p>
<p>The new S 1000 RR is offered in three attractive colour schemes: the
  base variant in Blackstorm metallic, the Sport model variant in
  Bluestone metallic with matte graphic applications, and the M
  Motorsport variant in Lightwhite uni/M Motorsport in combination with
  the M package.</p>
<p>
  <strong>BMW M 1000 R: Refinement for the M Hyper Naked
  Bike.<br /></strong>For the upcoming season, the M 1000 R –
  abbreviated as M R – has received a more dynamic design with the new
  dual-flow LED headlight derived from the RR models and the M logo in
  the air intake between the headlights.</p>
<p>The new M 1000 R is available as a base variant in the color scheme
  Lightwhite uni/M Motorsport and in the new colour White Aluminium
  metallic matt. In the M Competition equipment variant, this paint is
  also available alongside the colour scheme Blackstorm metallic/M Motorsport.</p>
<p>In all colour schemes, the rear frame and swingarm of the new model
  year are in Platinum Grey metallic. The winglets are finished in black
  textured paint, and the covers for the clutch and generator are also
  coated in black.</p>
<p>The traction control DTC has also been revised. The control strategy
  has been derived from the RR models and, in combination with the M
  short-stroke throttle, brings a noticeable improvement, especially in
  Race mode for track days.</p>
<p>An expanded range of Original BMW Motorrad accessories and special
  equipment completes the scope of changes.</p>
<p>
  <strong>BMW S 1000 R: Hyper Naked Bike with increased power and
    enhanced standard features.<br /></strong>The hyper naked bike S
  1000 R – abbreviated as Single-R – now starts with an even more
  powerful inline-four engine, offering 125 kW (170 hp). A shorter final
  drive ratio enhances sprint performance. The optimised standard Shift
  Assistant Pro supports even smoother gear changes. Combined with the
  new M short-stroke throttle, this results in a significantly more
  dynamic setup and noticeably better acceleration in all situations.
  Additionally, the traction control DTC of the S 1000 R benefits from
  the revisions made to the DTC from the M 1000 R, further enhancing its performance.</p>
<p>The new Single-R also receives the new dual-flow LED headlight
  derived from the RR models, providing a more striking appearance. The
  expanded standard features of the S 1000 R include the engine drag
  torque control (MSR) with configurable "Engine Brake," a
  short license plate holder and a USB-C charging socket under the seat.</p>
<p>The new Single-R is offered in three attractive colour schemes: the
  base variant in Blackstorm metallic, the Sport model variant in
  Bluefire/Mugiallo Yellow, and in combination with the M package in
  Lightwhite uni/M Motorsport.</p>

  <strong>"The M XR is the third M model from BMW Motorrad. Based
    on the current S 1000 XR and S 1000 RR, the product substance of the
    M 1000 XR - M XR for short - has been tuned to meet the specific
    requirements of a long-distance sports bike. The riding dynamics
    speak for themselves, both on the country roads as well as on the
    race track and on long-distance
  journeys".<br /></strong>Dominik Blass, M 1000 XR Product Manager.<br />
  <br />
  <strong>The new BMW M 1000 XR: the long-distance sports bike designed
    to meet the highest demands, from dynamic riding on country roads to
    long-distance touring and racing.<br /></strong>At the end of 2018,
  BMW Motorrad already introduced the successful M model range strategy
  for motorcycles and has been offering M special equipment and M
  performance parts ever since. The new BMW M 1000 XR is the third M
  model from BMW Motorrad to celebrate its world premiere, following the
  M 1000 RR superbike and the dynamic M 1000 R roadster: The
  long-distance sports bike M 1000 XR.<br />
  <br />In the centenary year of BMW Motorrad, the dynamic philosophy of
  the world's most powerful letter is also applied to the new M XR:  M
  is synonymous worldwide with racing success and the fascination of
  high-performance BMW models and is aimed at customers with
  particularly high demands for performance, exclusivity and individuality.<br />
  <br />With an engine output of 148 kW, a DIN empty weight of only 223
  kg and suspension technology and aerodynamics designed equally for
  high-performance country road use, extended long-distance trips and
  fast laps on the race track, the new M XR, as the lightest
  representative of this crossover segment, opens up dynamic driving
  dimensions previously reserved for thoroughbred superbikes.<br />
  <br />
  <strong>Powerful M XR 4-cylinder based on the RR engine. Even more
    peak power, higher torque and increased thrust and traction thanks
    to shorter secondary and gear ratios for maximum riding pleasure on
    country roads and race tracks.<br /></strong>The new M XR features a
  modified water-cooled 4-cylinder in-line engine based on the power
  unit of the S 1000 RR. Its peak power is 148 kW at 12,750 rpm, 23 kW
  more than in the new S 1000 XR. The maximum torque of 113 Nm is
  reached at 11,000 rpm. The maximum engine speed of the M XR is 14,600
  rpm. Increased rear wheel pulling power in all gears is also provided
  by a shorter secondary gear ratio through the use of a sprocket with
  47 teeth now (S 1000 XR: 45 teeth). In addition, the gear ratios of
  the 4th, 5th and 6th gear are now shorter compared to the S 1000 XR,
  which also benefits traction at the rear wheel, acceleration and
  pulling power.<br />
  <br />
  <strong>M winglets and wind deflectors: Brake later, reduce wheelies
    and accelerate earlier thanks to aerodynamic
  downforce.<br /></strong>In addition to drive and suspension
  technology, aerodynamics was also a key item in the specifications for
  developing the M XR. The new M XR was given winglets in the area of
  the front side panels with the aim of achieving even faster lap times
  on the race track and the best possible riding stability at high
  speeds, From a speed of about 100 km/h, they provide an increase in
  front wheel load thanks to the aerodynamic downforce generated. It
  increases by approx. 12 kg at 220 km/h.<br />
  <br />
  <strong>Chassis trimmed for performance-oriented riding on country
    roads and race tracks with Dynamic Damping Control (DDC), adjustable
    spring base, adjustable steering damper, milled-over handlebar clamp
    and more front-oriented tubular handlebar with laser-etched
    "BMW M XR" lettering.<br /></strong>The suspension and
  chassis of the new M XR are based on the S 1000 XR with the aluminium
  bridge frame as the centrepiece. The M XR features upside-down forks
  with a 45 mm slide tube diameter at the front. The forks are equipped
  with so-called closed cartridge inserts, separate hydraulic
  piston-cylinder systems. Another new feature of the M XR is the
  additional adjustability of the fork's spring base in conjunction with
  the standard Dynamic Damping Control (DDC) suspension strut.<br />
  <br />In addition, the forks of the M XR feature an upper fork bridge
  with an elaborately milled-over handlebar clamp as well as a more
  front-oriented black aluminium tubular handlebar with
  lasered "BMW M 1000 XR" lettering. The handlebar end mirrors
  available as an option ex works are also new on the M XR. The fork
  legs have also been modified and are now designed to accommodate the
  new M brake callipers. Another new element of the <br />M XR is the
  adjustable steering damper.<br />
  <br />
  <strong>M brakes with radial hand brake pump and lightweight forged
    aluminium wheels for optimum riding dynamics on the race track and
    in performance mode. Exclusive <br />M Carbon wheels are available
    as part of the M Competition package or as an individual
  option.<br /></strong>After the M 1000 RR and the M 1000 R, the new M
  XR is the third BMW motorcycle to feature an M brake. It was developed
  directly using the experience gained with the racing brakes on BMW
  Motorrad factory racing machines in the Superbike World Championship.
  The M brake callipers feature a blue anodised coating in conjunction
  with the famous M logo.<br />
  <br />Together with two 320 mm brake discs of 5 mm thickness and black
  anodised aluminium brake disc carriers, the brake system equipped with
  a new radial hand brake pump currently marks the pinnacle of brake
  development in the field of road-legal systems. The new M XR is
  already equipped with very lightweight forged aluminium wheels as
  standard. As part of the M Competition package, the exclusive M Carbon
  wheels are available with newly designed tapes on the rim.<br />
  <br />
  <strong>Brake Slide Assist - assists the rider when brake
  drifting.<br /></strong>The Brake Slide Assist function is an
  important and very helpful innovation, especially for race track
  riders. It allows the rider to brake drift into corners with a
  constant slide.<br />
  <br />
  <strong>Instrument cluster with perfectly readable 6.5-inch TFT
    display, new display of the rev counter (red area) and OBD interface
    for </strong>
  <strong>M GPS Datalogger and M GPS Laptrigger that can be used via
    unlock code.<br /></strong>The instrument cluster of the new M XR
  corresponds to the design of the M RR and also offers the M start-up
  animation. The extended display of the red speed range is a new
  feature. As optional equipment, comprehensive data material for using
  the M GPS Laptrigger and the M GPS Datalogger (Original BMW Motorrad
  Accessories) can be provided by means of an unlock code via the OBD
  interface of the instrument cluster.<br />
  <br />
  <strong>M Design and the dynamic design of the M XR signal pure
    performance and sportiness. <br /></strong>Even more than the S 1000
  XR, the new M XR with its optimised chassis technology and the most
  powerful engine to date in a dynamic long-distance sports bike from
  BMW Motorrad is uncompromisingly designed for sporty riding - whether
  on country roads, long-distance tours or on the race track.  M XR -
  there is currently no better performing and lighter vehicle in this
  crossover segment. The proportions of the M XR are ultra-compact and
  powerful. Three-dimensional surfaces create excitement and a dynamic
  look. Slim, sleek and extremely aggressive, the M XR's front end is
  unmistakable with its new M winglets, designed as quadruple wings. The
  performance-oriented look of the new M XR is also reflected in the
  colour concept, with the body in Black combined with the M colours
  Light Blue, Dark Blue and Red.<br />
  <br />
  <strong>Uncompromising design and technology: The M XR featuring the M
    Competition Package.<br /></strong>If the new M XR in standard trim
  is still not enough for you, the M Competition Package offers a
  fascinating mix of refined components for the racing technology
  gourmet and the aesthetically minded rider alike. In addition, this
  makes the new M XR another 3 kg lighter. The M Competition Package
  includes M Carbon wheels, M Carbon parts such as rear wheel cover with
  integrated chain guard, side panels, front wheel cover, inner cover
  and ignition/steering lock cover as well as a fully adjustable M rider
  footrest system, passenger footrests and the MGPS Laptrigger (unlock code).<br />
  <br />
