Middle East eagerly awaits the arrival of new BMW X5 - Perfect combination of driving dynamics, functionality, and exclusivity.

Summary
Perfect combination of driving dynamics, functionality, and exclusivity

Dubai, UAE. Deliveries of the new BMW X5 to the region are expected in
March 2007, which is music to the ears of customers keen to experience
for themselves its superior agility and enhanced variability. BMW not
only invented the Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) sector, it continues to
lead the segment through innovation and raises the bar yet again with
the launch of the new BMW X5. "Offering enhanced dynamics and an
even higher standard of all-round supremacy, the new BMW X5 is
continuing the victorious success of its predecessor," said
Guenther Seemann, Managing Director for BMW Group Middle East.
"The original BMW X5 created a brand-new segment and set the trend
for spacious, luxurious, rough terrain vehicles. We have already
recorded high regional demand for the new BMW X5, which takes the
agility, function and exclusivity of the vehicle to a whole new
level." Where others follow, the BMW X5 leads the pack with its
superior driving dynamics. With powerful eight and six-cylinder
engines, the BMW xDrive permanent all-wheel drive once is again
enhanced to an even higher standard, and a brand-new suspension
optimised, from the ground up, giving the new model supreme agility.
The new V8 power unit develops maximum output of 261 kW/355 hp, and the
new six-cylinder inline engine with its magnesium/ aluminium composite
crankcase offers 200 kW/272 hp. More space, more features and an
outstanding variety of high-tech driving functions ensure the new BMW
X5 stands in a class of its own. The large and highly versatile
interior offers maximum function and space for up to seven occupants.
At the same time, thanks to innovative features and equipment, the
interior retains the exclusivity of the same calibre and standard as a
luxury performance saloon. The new BMW X5 is the first SAV in the
world available with Active Steering, AdaptiveDrive (anti-roll
stabilisation and adaptive dampers) as well as a Head-up Display and is
the first BMW vehicle to come with runflat safety tyres as standard.
Even greater precision is available due to the intelligent BMW XDrive
all-wheel drive technology, integrated chassis management with
optimised control quality and Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), which
reflects the supreme dynamic driving potential of the new BMW X5.
Power, elegance, and presence - these are the features characterising
the look and appearance of the new BMW X5. Compared with its
predecessor, the new five-door model is 18.7 centimetres or 7.36''
longer and 6.1 centimetres or 2.40'' wider. But thanks to the design of
its body, the new dimensions maintain the stylish and superior look of
the BMW X5 in every respect. Its predecessor hit the headlines right
from the start, and its' success as a leader and innovator in the SAV
segment are reflected by the worldwide sales figures of more than
580,000 units sold since inception. With advancements in driving
dynamics, design and engineering, the new BMW X5 is set to take the
world by storm. - Ends - For more information please contact:- Rana
