BMW Great Britain takes gold at International Visual Communications Awards

Summary
BMW CleanEnergy education programme wins PR award

BMW has won an International Visual Communications (IVCA) gold award for its
innovative CleanEnergy education programme.

Designed for use by secondary schools, the programme explores renewable energy
forms and in particular the future use of hydrogen as a vehicle fuel.

Rosemary Davies, public relations executive for BMW, said: "This prestigious
award underlines BMW's long term commitment to providing education programmes
of the highest standard on a range of issues. Our education programme has been
established for thirteen years and covers road safety education in primary
schools and citizenship and science programmes at secondary level all supported
by web-based and enquiry services."

Commenting on the BMW programme, the judges said: "An excellent programme.
Both the video and supporting material more than fulfilled the criteria,
promoted BMW as an advocate of clean energy and will sustain their PR image to
all publics."

The IVCA Awards provides an international showcase for corporate visual
communications and celebrates some of the world's most outstanding craft skills
and successful business communication solutions.

Produced for BMW by dbda; an agency that specialises in the area of community,
safety and education, the CleanEnergy programme is one of a number of elements
in BMW's current portfolio of education resources.
