Singapore.
BMW Group Asia announced the availability
of the new BMW X5 and BMW X6, the extensively updated editions of its
successful Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) and Sports Activity Coupé
(SAC) respectively for the luxury segment.

The new BMW X5 and BMW X6 emphasise their inherent poise and
assurance with detailed design revisions and additions to their
standard specification. Also leading the way are the new systems for
driving assistance, automated parking and the fully digital iDrive
control/operation system with BMW Curved Display based on BMW
  Operating System 8.

The update provides the new BMW X5 with everything it needs to
maintain worldwide market leadership in its segment and enable the new
BMW X6 to secure its position as number one ahead of competitors from
other premium German manufacturers. The two models are built at BMW
Group Plant Spartanburg in the USA, the competence centre for BMW X models.

The new BMW X5: slim headlights.

The M Sport design elements as standard give the new BMW X5
significantly greater presence and visual robustness. Its front end is
shaped by the fresh interpretation of the hallmark BMW headlights and
kidney grille. The new headlight units now have a 35-millimetre
slimmer outline. Their arrow-shaped daytime driving light elements
point outwards and also serve as turn signal indicators. Matrix LED
headlights with adaptive control and BMW Selective Beam non-dazzling
  high beam come as standard.

The precisely updated design of the new BMW X5 also spans newly
designed air breathers in the front side panels, vertical air curtains
and lower air intake, complete with decorative trim detail in Black High-gloss.

The sculptural fibre-optic light guide elements for the rear lights
and brake lights now have particularly striking contouring. The L
shape familiar from other BMW models is reflected horizontally,
creating a consistently illuminated X motif within the rear lights.

The new BMW X6: Pitch-perfect athleticism.

The new BMW X6 also has slim headlight units with arrow-shaped
daytime driving light elements. The dynamic character of the new BMW
X6 is highlighted even more intently with the standard M Sport
package. Playing a key role here is the octagonal frontend signature
below the BMW kidney grille, with its striking side apertures and
generous use of black surfaces. In addition, the three-dimensional
sculpting of the front apron underscores the car’s width and brawny stature.

M-specific side skirts and M High-gloss Shadowline trim are also part
of the M Sport package. The rear apron of the SAC has an insert in
Dark Shadow, while the new exhaust tailpipe trims are trapezoidal in shape.

Modern cockpit design with all-digital BMW Curved Display.

Digital technology is the guiding force behind the advances brought
to the interior of the new BMW X5 and BMW X6. The integration of BMW
Operating System 8 and the latest generation of the iDrive
control/operation system also heralds the arrival of the BMW Curved
Display in the Sports Activity Vehicle and Sports Activity Coupé. It
is made up of a 12.3-inch information display behind the steering
wheel and a control display with a screen diagonal of 14.9 inches –
both located behind a single glass surface. The touch control
functionality of the control display has brought about a significant
reduction in the number of buttons and switches in favour of digital
control for numerous functions. The innovative cockpit and associated
updates to the instrument panel bring a particularly progressive feel
  to the modern premium ambience.

Standard specification for both models includes sports seats, an
instrument panel with surfacing in leather-like Sensafin and a curving
trim element in fine wood (BMW X5) or carbon fibre (BMW X6). Another
new feature is the ambient light bar with highly effective LED
backlighting integrated below the trim element in the front passenger
area. The relevant model lettering – “X5” or “X6” – is added to the
light bar’s graphic. The control panel on the centre console includes
additional touch-sensitive surfaces and a newly designed gear selector
lever. The newly designed Travel & Comfort System also comes as standard.

New engine, new eight-speed Steptronic Sport transmission and
    systematic electrification.

The new BMW X5 and BMW X6 come as standard with a six-cylinder
in-line petrol engine from the latest generation of power units. The
engine now links up with the likewise new eight-speed Steptronic Sport
transmission, complete with gearshift paddles on the steering wheel.
It sends its power to the road – or indeed unpaved surfaces, as the
need arises – via the BMW xDrive intelligent all-wheel-drive system.

The drive unit now features 48V mild hybrid technology. This
application of electrification comes in the form of an electric motor
integrated into the transmission. This motor generates an output boost
of up to 9 kW/12 hp and 200 Nm of torque, helping the combustion
engine to deliver a smooth, dynamic drive along with high efficiency.

  Latest-generation six-cylinder in-line petrol engine.

Innovations affecting the combustion process, gas exchange, valve
control, injection and ignition system mark out the latest-generation
3.0-litre six-cylinder in-line petrol engine at work in the new BMW X5
  xDrive40i and BMW X6 xDrive40i.

The new engine develops maximum output increased by 47 hp over the
outgoing model to 381 hp, plus peak torque up by 70 Nm to 520 Nm. This
can be boosted to as much as 540 Nm with the input of the mild hybrid
system. The engine accelerates the new BMW X5 xDrive40i and BMW X6
  xDrive40i from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds.

Sophisticated chassis technology underpins sporting ability
    and long-distance comfort.

The integrated braking system is a key element of the advanced
chassis technology at work here. Standard specification also includes
  21-inch M Y-spoke wheels for the new BMW X5 and 22-inch M V-spoke
wheels for the new BMW X6.

Additional systems for assisted driving and automated parking.

Comfort and safety in the new BMW X5 and BMW X6 can be taken to
another new level with a significantly expanded selection of assisted
driving and automated parking systems. Updates include enhanced
capabilities for the standard front-collision warning system, which
can now also reduce the risk of a collision with cyclists, pedestrians
or oncoming traffic when turning off a road. The standard Driving
Assistant also offers Speed Limit Display with no-overtaking
indicator, Lane Change Warning, Rear Crossing Traffic Warning and Rear
  Collision Prevention.

As well as the Reversing Assist Camera and Reversing Assistant, the
standard Parking Assistant Professional enables automated parking into
and out of spaces and complete manoeuvres over a distance of up to 200
metres to be controlled from outside the car using the My BMW App on
  an Apple iPhone.

Latest-generation BMW iDrive, new digital services.

The latest-generation BMW iDrive tech based on BMW Operating System 8
brings both the BMW Curved Display and an array of new digital
services to the new BMW X5 and BMW X6. The BMW Live Cockpit
Professional includes the cloud-based navigation system.

The BMW Digital Key Plus enables customers to lock and unlock their
new BMW X5 or BMW X6 via security-enhanced ultra-wideband (UWB) radio
technology with compatible smartphones running the iOS or Android
operating system. Optimised smartphone integration and the
personalised BMW ID are also on hand.

The new BMW X5 and BMW X6 are now available for viewing at all
  authorised BMW dealers in Singapore.

The update will provide the BMW X5 with everything it needs to
maintain worldwide market leadership in its segment and enable the
BMW X6 to secure its position as number one ahead of competitors
from other premium German manufacturers. The two models will be
built at BMW Group Plant Spartanburg in the USA, the competence
centre for BMW X models, and their global launch gets underway in
    April 2023.

The new BMW X5: slim headlights, illuminated BMW kidney grille.

The inclusion of the xLine design elements as standard gives the
BMW X5 significantly greater presence and visual robustness. Its
front end is shaped by the fresh interpretation of the hallmark BMW
headlights and kidney grille. The new headlight units now have a
35-millimetre slimmer outline. Their arrow-shaped daytime driving
light elements point outwards and also serve as turn signal
indicators. Matrix LED headlights with adaptive control and BMW
Selective Beam non-dazzling high beam, plus M Shadowline lights, are
    included on the options list.

The BMW kidney Iconic Glow is now offered as an option for the
six-cylinder variants of the new BMW X5, and its cascade lighting
creates an extremely eye-catching and brand-typical look. The
vertical air curtains and the lower air intake, complete with
decorative trim detail in Pearl-effect Chrome and triangular
apertures in its outer areas, also contribute to the cutting-edge aura.

The precisely updated design of the BMW X5 also spans newly
designed air breathers in the front side panels and the standard
inclusion of Exterior Line Satin Aluminium trim and roof rails in
Satin Aluminium. The sculptural fibre-optic light guide elements for
the rear lights and brake lights now have particularly striking
contouring. The L shape familiar from other BMW models is reflected
horizontally, creating a consistently illuminated X motif within the
    rear lights.

The new BMW X6: M Sport package now standard.

The new BMW X6 also has slim headlight units with arrow-shaped
daytime driving light elements. As before, the BMW kidney Iconic
Glow is offered as an option for the six-cylinder models. The
dynamic character of the new BMW X6 is highlighted even more
intently with the now standard M Sport package. Playing a key role
here is the octagonal front-end signature below the BMW kidney
grille, with its striking side apertures and generous use of black
surfaces. In addition, the three-dimensional sculpting of the front
apron underscores the car’s width and brawny stature.

M-specific side skirts and M High-gloss Shadowline trim are also
part of the M Sport package. The rear apron of the SAC has an insert
in Dark Shadow, while the new exhaust tailpipe trims are trapezoidal
    in shape.

Range-topping models with distinctive design features; M
Sport package Pro makes its debut.

The M Sport package is available as an option for the new BMW X5 to
convey the feeling of exclusive dynamism, as it does as standard in
the design of the new BMW X6. These design features take on a
model-specific form for the range-topping BMW X5 M60i xDrive (fuel
    consumption, combined: 12.5 – 11.5 l/100 km [22.6 – 24.6 mpg imp];
    CO2 emissions: 283 – 261 g/km in the WLTP cycle) and
    BMW X6 M60i xDrive (fuel consumption, combined: 12.3 – 11.4 l/
    100 km [23.0 – 24.8 mpg imp]; CO2 emissions:
279 – 258 g/km in the WLTP cycle). They include double bars and an
M logo for the BMW kidney grille, M exterior mirror caps in Black
high-gloss, exhaust system tailpipe trim in the hallmark M quad-pipe
style and a rear spoiler in Black high-gloss for the BMW X6 M60i xDrive.

All model variants are now available with the M Sport package Pro.
The new M Marina Bay Blue metallic (BMW X5 M60i xDrive) and M Isle
of Man Green metallic (BMW X6 M60i xDrive) body paint finishes are
available exclusively for the range-topping models. New additions
for all models are Blue Ridge Mountain metallic, Brooklyn Grey
metallic, Skyscraper Grey metallic, Frozen Pure Grey metallic and
around 40 BMW Individual special paint finishes.

Modern cockpit design with all-digital BMW Curved Display.

Digital technology is the guiding force behind the advances brought
to the interior of the new BMW X5 and new BMW X6. The integration of
BMW Operating System 8 and the latest generation of the iDrive
control/operation system also heralds the arrival of the BMW Curved
Display in the Sports Activity Vehicle and Sports Activity Coupé. It
is made up of a 12.3-inch information display behind the steering
wheel and a control display with a screen diagonal of 14.9 inches –
both located behind a single glass surface. The touch control
functionality of the control display has brought about a significant
reduction in the number of buttons and switches in favour of digital
control for numerous functions. The innovative cockpit and
associated updates to the instrument panel bring a particularly
progressive feel to the modern premium ambience.

Standard specification for both models now includes an instrument
panel with surfacing in leather-like Sensafin and an elegantly
curving trim element in fine wood. Another new feature is the
ambient light bar with highly effective LED backlighting integrated
below the trim element in the front passenger area. The relevant
model lettering – “X5” or “X6” – is added to the light bar’s
graphic; in the two flagship models it displays the M logo. The
control panel on the centre console includes additional
touch-sensitive surfaces and a newly designed gear selector lever.

Comfort seats for the driver and front passenger can be specified
as an alternative to the standard sport seats with Sensafin
surfaces. Also available as an option are BMW Individual Merino
extended leather upholstery, BMW Individual full Merino leather
upholstery, active seat ventilation and a massage function.

Among the other highlights of the options list are the new Comfort
Package with panel heating and a “thermo” function for the cup
holders, the Sky Lounge panoramic glass sunroof illuminated by LED
units, glass applications for selected controls, the Bowers &
Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System and the newly designed Travel
    & Comfort System.

New engines, new eight-speed Steptronic Sport transmission
      and systematic electrification.

The new BMW X5 and new BMW X6 can both be ordered with the choice
    of an eight-cylinder petrol engine, a six-cylinder in-line petrol
and a six-cylinder in-line diesel engine – each from the latest
generation of power units. All of the engines now link up with the
likewise new eight-speed Steptronic Sport transmission, complete
with gearshift paddles on the steering wheel. They send their power
to the road – or indeed unpaved surfaces, as the need arises – via
the BMW xDrive intelligent all-wheel-drive system.

All the drive units now feature 48V mild hybrid technology. This
across-the-board application of electrification comes in the form of
an electric motor integrated into the transmission. This motor
generates an output boost of up to 9 kW/12 hp and 200 Nm (147 lb-ft)
of torque, helping the combustion engine to deliver a smooth,
dynamic drive along with high efficiency.

New plug-in hybrid BMW X5 xDrive50e offers more power,
      efficiency and electric range.

The drive system for the plug-in hybrid variant of the SAV has also
been completely reworked, and the updated model carries the
    designation BMW X5 xDrive50e. A latest-generation six-cylinder
in-line petrol engine and a similarly new electric motor team up to
develop system output of 360 kW/490 hp (including temporary boost
effect) – an increase of 70 kW/96 hp over the outgoing model – and
combined torque of 700 Nm (516 lb-ft), which is a rise of 100 Nm
    (74 lb-ft). The petrol engine’s nominal output of 230 kW/313 hp
represents an increase of 20 kW/27 hp on the unit it replaces. The
compact electric motor integrated into the eight-speed Steptronic
Sport transmission produces a nominal output of 145 kW/197 hp
(+62 kW/84 hp). In addition, an innovative pre-gearing stage – used
to increase the effective torque produced by the electric motor to a
maximum 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) at the transmission input for the motor –
helps to provide even sharper power delivery. The BMW X5 xDrive50e
accelerates from rest to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.8 seconds.

The amount of usable energy that can be stored by the high-voltage
battery integrated into the underbody area has been increased by
almost 25 per cent over the preceding generation, to 25.7 kWh. A new
Combined Charging Unit doubles the maximum AC charging rate to
7.4 kW. The electric range of the new BMW X5 xDrive50e is 94 –
110 kilometres (58 – 68 miles) in the WLTP cycle.

New V8 petrol engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology.

Credit for the elite sporting prowess of the two range-topping
models goes to a new 4.4-litre V8 petrol engine, derived from the
power units in high-performance models from BMW M GmbH. M TwinPower
Turbo technology and a cross-bank exhaust manifold imbue the
390 kW/530 hp engine, which generates peak torque of 750 Nm (553
lb-ft), with impressively accomplished performance characteristics.

The latest version of the eight-cylinder engine powers both the new
    BMW X5 M60i xDrive and new BMW X6 M60i xDrive from 0 to 100 km/h (62
    mph) in 4.3 seconds.

    Latest-generation six-cylinder in-line petrol engine.

Innovations affecting the combustion process, gas exchange, valve
control, injection and ignition system mark out the
    latest-generation
3.0-litre six-cylinder in-line petrol engine
at work in the new BMW X5 xDrive40i (fuel consumption, combined:
    9.9 – 8.5 l/100 km [28.5 – 33.2 mpg imp]; CO2 emissions:
    224 – 193 g/km in the WLTP cycle) and new BMW X6 xDrive40i (fuel
    consumption, combined:
9.6 – 8.5 l/100 km [29.4 – 33.2 mpg
    imp]; CO2 emissions:
218 – 192 g/km in the WLTP cycle).

The new engine develops maximum output increased by 35 kW/47 hp
over the outgoing models to 280 kW/380 hp, plus peak torque up by
70 Nm (52 lb-ft) to 520 Nm (383 lb-ft). This can be boosted to as
much as 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) with the input of the mild hybrid system.
The engine accelerates both the new BMW X5 xDrive40i and new
    BMW X6 xDrive40i from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.4 seconds.

Six-cylinder in-line diesel engine with detail improvements.

The six-cylinder in-line diesel engine in the new BMW X5 xDrive30d
    (fuel consumption, combined: 8.2 – 7.1 l/100 km [34.5 – 39.8 mpg
    imp]; CO2 emissions: 215 – 186 g/km in the WLTP cycle)
    and new BMW X6 xDrive30d (fuel consumption, combined: 7.9 – 7.0
    l/100 km [35.8 – 40.4 mpg imp]; CO2 emissions:
208 – 184 g/km in the WLTP cycle) also brings upgrades to numerous
details. The 3.0-litre unit now has steel pistons instead of
aluminium items, an optimised oil separation process and a new
common-rail direct injection system with solenoid valve injectors.

The new diesel engine joins forces with the mild hybrid system to
produce maximum output of 219 kW/298 hp and peak torque of 670 Nm
(494 lb-ft). This enables both the new BMW X5 xDrive30d and new
    BMW X6 xDrive30d to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 6.1 seconds.

Sophisticated chassis technology underpins sporting ability
      and long-distance comfort.

Fitting adaptive suspension as standard, modifying the anti-roll
bars in response to changes in weight distribution and strengthening
them accordingly gives the new BMW X5 and new BMW X6 their signature
blend of sporting versatility and excellent long-distance comfort.
Adaptive M suspension, which comes as standard on both the
range-topping models as well as the other variants of the new
BMW X6, provides a particularly firm connection to the body.
Adaptive two-axle air suspension and the xOffroad package are
offered as options. The range-topping models are equipped as
standard with Integral Active Steering. This is available as an
option for all other models or as part of the adaptive M suspension
Professional, which also includes an M Sport differential and an
    active roll stabilisation system.

The integrated braking system is another element of the advanced
chassis technology at work here. And standard specification also
includes 19-inch light-alloy wheels for the new BMW X5, 20-inch
items for the new BMW X6 and 21-inch wheels for the range-topping
variant of each model. Light-alloy wheels up to 22 inches in size
can be specified as an option.

Additional systems for automated driving and parking.

Comfort and safety in the new BMW X5 and new BMW X6 can be taken to
another new level with a significantly expanded selection of
automated driving and parking systems. Updates include enhanced
capabilities for the standard front-collision warning system, which
can now also reduce the risk of a collision with cyclists,
pedestrians or oncoming traffic when turning off a road. Among the
options now available are automatic Speed Limit Assist, exit
warning, Active Navigation, route speed control, traffic light
recognition (depending on the market), Emergency Stop Assistant,
Lane Change Assistant and Merging Assistant.

As well as the Reversing Assist Camera and Reversing Assistant, the
standard Parking Assistant now also comprises the drive-off
monitoring and Trailer Assistant functions. And the new, optional
Parking Assistant Professional enables automated parking into and
out of spaces and complete manoeuvres over a distance of up to
200 metres to be controlled from outside the car using the My BMW
    App on an Apple iPhone.

Latest-generation BMW iDrive, new digital services.

The latest-generation BMW iDrive tech based on BMW Operating System
8 brings both the BMW Curved Display and an array of new digital
services to the BMW X5 and BMW X6. The standard BMW Live Cockpit
Plus also includes the cloud-based navigation system BMW Maps. And

Singapore. BMW M GmbH is unveiling the third
generation of its high-performance executive-class Sports Activity
Vehicle (SAV) and Sports Activity Coupe (SAC) models. BMW Asia and
Performance Munich Autos today announced the launch of the first-ever
BMW X5 M Competition and BMW X6 M Competition – these two models
deliver handling agility, dynamism, and precision unmatched in their
class. Their superior performance attributes combine with the
versatility, extrovert design, and modern luxury of which BMW X models
  are renowned.

A V8 engine developing 625 hp, an M-specific chassis that has been
tailored to both the engine’s performance profile and the SAV / SAC
vehicle concept, as well as design features taken from the M playbook
ensure imposing power and supremely controllable handling, even at the
dynamic limits. The sprint from 0 to 100 km/h is dispatched in a mere
  3.8 seconds for both models – the first-ever BMW X5 M Competition
clocks the 0 to 200 km/h sprint in 13.4 seconds, and the first-ever
BMW X6 M Competition stops the clock at 13.2 seconds for the same
sprint. Both models have an electronically limited top speed of 250
km/h. The intoxicating all-round performance package benefits from
fine-tuning carried out during intensive testing at the BMW Group’s
proving grounds, the Nürburgring-Nordschleife and other race tracks.

Significant power hike: high-revving V8 engine with M
TwinPower Turbo technology developing 625 hp.

M TwinPower Turbo technology and the appetite for revs shared by all
M models give the latest-generation V8 engine fitted in the first-ever
BMW X5 M Competition and BMW X6 M Competition an unmistakable
performance profile. Its headline character traits are instant
response to the slightest movement of the accelerator, precisely
controllable power delivery, and a linear wave of power into the upper
echelons of the rev range under full throttle.

The 4.4-litre engine teams up with two turbochargers – positioned in
the “V” between the cylinder banks – whose impact is further enhanced
by a cross-bank exhaust manifold. Torque peaks at 750 Nm between 1,800
and 5,800 rpm, while the maximum output of 625 hp arrives at 3,000
rpm. The power unit’s firm connection to the vehicle’s structure
results in remarkably instantaneous engine response and direct
transmission of its power to the drivetrain. A super-stiff engine
mounting results also makes the car sharper on turn-in while dampening
the transmission of engine noise to the cabin. The M Sport exhaust
system captures all of the engine’s free-revving eagerness and
propulsive power to thrilling effect, generating a soundtrack of
  particular emotional richness.

Precise power transfer: eight-speed M Steptronic transmission
with Drivelogic, M xDrive and Active M Differential.

The high-performance engine in the two Competition models teams up
with the latest version of the eight-speed M Steptronic transmission
with Drivelogic, whose gearshift characteristics can be adjusted using
the Drivelogic button on the M-specific selector lever. The driver may
also opt to use the M shift paddles on the steering wheel for manual
control over the gear selection process.

The M xDrive all-wheel-drive system with bespoke tuning and the
Active M Differential at the rear axle have been specially tuned to
transfer drive to the road with characteristic élan. The two systems
thus optimise traction, agility, and handling stability when the cars’
sporting capabilities are put to the test in all terrains. In the
default 4WD setting, the M xDrive displays a conspicuous rear-wheel
bias – it only brings the front axle into play when the rear wheels
aren’t able to transmit any more power to the road, and additional
tractive force is required. However, the driver can also dip into the
Setup menu to select 4WD Sport mode to bring extra intensity to the
driving experience, in which an even greater proportion of the
engine’s torque is directed to the rear wheels.

  M-specific chassis, integrated braking system.

Pulse-quickening on-road dynamism and unsurpassed ground-covering
ability over off-road terrain set the tone for the new
high-performance additions to the SAV and SAC segments. The first-ever
BMW X5 M Competition and BMW X6 M Competition are fitted with
extensive measures to optimise the stiffness of the body structure and
suspension mountings. The model-specific design and tuning of the
chassis technology also helps enhance handling precision. Standard
specification includes the adaptive M suspension system with
electronically controlled dampers, the active roll stabilisation
system, and M Servotronic steering. The stiff suspension mountings on
both models enable damper control to be extremely precise. The
electric swivel motors on the active roll stabilization system have a
high adjustment torque, enabling extremely direct damper response when
absorbing bumps on the road surface or taming body roll.

M compound brakes offer outstanding stopping power combined with
supreme feel and excellent comfort. The version of the integrated
braking system developed for BMW M models presents the driver with two
settings for brake pedal feel – COMFORT mode allows for
comfort-oriented feedback, while SPORT mode makes for an extremely
  direct, instantaneous response.

Extrovert design, variable-use interior, luxurious ambience.

The shared racing focus of the first-ever BMW X5 M Competition and
BMW X6 M Competition models is emphasised by their striking exterior
designs. The combination of typical SAV / SAC proportions with
signature M design features lends the first-ever BMW X5 M Competition
and BMW X6 M Competition an extrovert appearance exuding supreme
  authority in any environment.

Large air intakes, M gills on the front side panels, aerodynamically
optimised exterior mirrors, a roof / rear spoiler, a rear apron with
diffuser elements and the two pairs of exhaust tailpipes lay the
technical platform required to deliver standout performance. The
Competition models come with distinctive design highlights, among them
the BMW Laserlights feature, as well as exclusive M light-alloy wheels
in 21-inch format at the front axle and 22-inch at the rear
  (first-ever BMW X5 M Competition: Star-spoke style 809 M Bicolour,
  first-ever BMW X6 M Competition: Star-spoke style 818 M Bicolour). The
different rim diameters also combine with mixed tyres to optimise
transmission of lateral control forces through dynamically taken corners.

Inside the high-performance models, abundant space, top-class
materials, and build quality radiating precise craftsmanship create a
luxurious ambience. The classy, contemporary style of the cabin is
complemented by displays and controls with the familiar M treatment –
the bespoke M controls, and the red splashes of colour adorning the M
leather steering wheel’s M buttons plus the Start/Stop button on the
centre console help the driver to dial fully into the dynamic driving
experience. The restyled selector is trimmed in leather with an
embossed M logo and stitching in M GmbH colours, and includes the
Drivelogic switch. It also incorporates an eye-catching cut-out
accentuated by the integral ambient lighting.

Both models feature a fine-grain Merino full leather trim with
M-specific hexagonal quilting – this is also used for the door trim
panels, the lower section of the instrument panel, the front seat
backs, the door panelling, and the door pockets in leather too. A BMW
Individual headliner in Alcantara anthracite is also available as
standard. The luxurious interior ambience is further continued with
features such as the soft-close function, as well as a Harmon Kardon
sound system fitted as standard on the Competition models.

Operating system creates intense M feeling; exclusive standard
    equipment.

A Setup button on the centre console enables direct access to the
settings for the engine, dampers, steering, M xDrive and braking
system. Two individually composed variants of this M setup can be
stored and called up at any time by pressing one of the two red M
buttons on the steering wheel. Added to which, the information shown
in the instrument cluster and Head-Up Display and the functionality of
the driver assistance systems can both be varied using the M Mode
  button on the centre console.

In addition to ROAD and SPORT settings, the first-ever BMW X5 M
Competition and BMW X6 M Competition feature a TRACK setting designed
exclusively for use on race circuits. Switching to SPORT or TRACK mode
reduces the amount of information appearing in the displays. In
addition, the safety-enhancing interventions initiated by the driver
assistance systems – such as active braking or steering inputs – are
reduced to a bare minimum or deactivated altogether. The exclusive
selection of equipment fitted as standard includes the BMW Head-Up
Display with M-specific readouts, M multifunction seats for the driver
and front passenger, and the BMW Display Key. Both models also come
with the BMW Live Cockpit Professional with navigation system and the
BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant as standard.

The Driving Assistant Professional package provides the best in
comfort and safety with features such as the Steering and lane control
assistant, the Lane Keeping Assistant with active side collision
protection, the Lane Change Assistant, the Evasion Assistant, the
Emergency Stop Assistant and the Crossroads warning, Wrong-way warning
and Front Cross Traffic Alert systems. The standard-fit Parking
Assistant Plus comes to the driver’s aid when selecting and
manoeuvring into parking spaces – in addition, the system includes
Active Park Distance Control and camera system allowing for the Top
View, Panorama View, 3D Top View and Remote 3D View functions. The
Reversing Assistant also forms part of standard equipment.

The first-ever BMW X5 M Competition and BMW X6 M Competition are now
available for viewing at the Performance Munich Autos showroom.

The all-new BMW X6 blends the agile and versatile driving properties
of a Sports Activity Vehicle with the head-turning looks of a coupe.
The third-generation X6 employs a clean, exclusive design language to
underscore its confident and commanding appearance. And advanced
powertrain and chassis technology teams up with a wealth of
innovations to deliver a uniquely sporting yet also luxurious driving
experience. Like its predecessor, the all-new BMW X6 is produced in
the US at BMW Group Plant Spartanburg.

Dynamically stretched proportions exude sporting prowess.

The all-new BMW X6 has grown by 26 millimetres in exterior length
over the outgoing model (to 4,935 mm) and by 15 mm in width (to 2,004
mm). It now stands 6 mm lower (at 1,696 mm) and combines dynamically
stretched proportions with exceptional visual muscularity. The car’s
wheelbase has increased by 42 mm to 2,975 millimetres. The large,
single-frame BMW kidney grille is the most striking feature of the
front end, the outer edges of the kidney grille now approaching the
headlights at a clearly defined angle.

If the optional BMW Laserlight with Adaptive LED headlights (standard
on the BMW X6 M50i) is specified, a BMW Laserlight spotlight with
Selective Beam optimises the non-dazzling high beam function, whose
range increases to around 500 metres. BMW Laserlight can be identified
by the blue x-shaped elements inside the signature BMW twin
headlights. The flanks of the all-new X6 are defined by familiar BMW
proportions, a crisply drawn character line and the dynamic roofline.
  21-inch (BMW X6 xDrive40i) and 22-inch (BMW X6 M50i) light-alloy
  wheels are fitted as standard.

Interior: an exclusive ambience imbued with sporting flair.

The interior of the all-new BMW X6 is geared squarely to deliver an
exclusive and dynamic driving experience. Clear structures lend the
cabin a modern and sporty appearance. The design of the cockpit,
complete with the new arrangement and design of the control elements,
represents a progressive re-interpretation of the driver focus for
which BMW is renowned. The all-new BMW X6 comes as standard with
Vernasca leather upholstery (BMW X6 xDrive40i) and BMW Individual
  full-leather trim Merino (BMW X6 M50i).

The interior offers a high degree of variability, thanks to 40:20:40
split rear seat backrests that can be folded down to increase boot
capacity from 580 to 1,530 litres. Equipment features from the list of
optional extras include multifunction seats with massage function for
the driver and front passenger, four-zone automatic climate control
(standard on both variants), thermoelectric cup holders, glass
applications for selected controls (standard on BMW X6 M50i), the
Panorama glass roof Sky Lounge, the Ambient Air interior fragrancing
package (standard on BMW X6 M50i) and the Bowers & Wilkins
  Diamond+ 3D Surround Sound System.

  Two powerful engines from launch.

The line-up of engines available for the all-new BMW X6 from launch
includes two petrol units from the latest generation. The model
line-up is spearheaded by a BMW M model with a newly developed 530 hp
V8 petrol engine. The all-new BMW X6 M50i is joined in the range by a
straight-six petrol unit with an output of 340 hp in the all-new BMW
X6 xDrive40i. The M Sport exhaust system fitted as standard on both
models gives the car an unmistakable and emotionally rich aural presence.

The all-new BMW X6 models come as standard with an eight-speed
Steptronic transmission, while intelligent all-wheel drive maximises
traction, agility and directional stability. The latest generation of
the BMW xDrive system once again splits drive torque between the front
and rear wheels variably and as the situation demands – only now, with
  even greater precision and speed.

In situations which do not require all-wheel drive, drive can be
channelled entirely to the rear wheels in the interest of efficiency.
The xDrive system also maintains a rear-wheel bias in particularly
dynamic driving situations. The car’s sporting attributes are aided by
the electronically controlled M differential lock at the rear axle,
available as part of M Sport specification or in conjunction with the
  optional xOffroad package.

Perfectly tuned chassis systems enhance sporting responses,
    comfort levels and off-road prowess.

A double-wishbone front axle and five-link rear axle give the all-new
BMW X6 the ideal suspension tools to deliver dynamism and ride comfort
on the road, plus unshakable traction off the beaten track. Dynamic
Damper Control is included as standard, the Adaptive M suspension
Professional with active roll stabilisation and Integral Active
Steering (standard on the BMW X6 M50i) endows the car with
exceptionally agile and dynamic driving qualities, and the all-new BMW
X6 is also available with two-axle air suspension including automatic
self-levelling (standard on the BMW X6 xDrive40i). The car’s height
can be altered at the touch of a button in the cockpit to a maximum of
80 millimetres. An off-road package is available for the all-new BMW
X6 xDrive40i, allowing the driver to choose from four modes that
optimise progress over snow, sand, gravel or rocks respectively. At
the press of a button, they can also activate the ideal settings for
the vehicle’s ride height, the xDrive system, accelerator response,
transmission control and the DSC system’s corrective inputs.

Innovative driver assistance systems offering new functions.

An extensive selection of standard and optional driver assistance
systems mark out the all-new BMW X6 as an exceptionally innovative
Sports Activity Coupe. Fresh from the addition of myriad new
functions, the systems do an extremely effective job in enhancing
comfort and safety. Standard specification for the all-new BMW X6
includes Cruise Control with braking function and the Collision and
Pedestrian Warning with City Braking function, which also alerts the
driver when a cyclist is detected. The Active Cruise Control system
with Stop & Go function is available as an option. The Driving
Assistant Professional (standard on the BMW X6 M50i) can also be found
on the options list for the all-new BMW X6. This complete package of
safety- and comfort-enhancing technology includes both the steering
and lane control assistant with Traffic jam assistant and lane keeping
assistant with active side collision protection. The Evasion Assistant
is another component of the Driving Assistant Professional, as are the
rear collision warning, road priority warning and wrong-way driving
warning systems, crossing traffic warning, Lane Change Warning and the
Emergency Stop Assistant. The innovative Reversing Assistant, which
helps the driver when exiting parking spaces and manoeuvring within a
confined space, represents another step en route to automated driving.

BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant is on hand to help the driver.

The BMW Live Cockpit Professional in the all-new BMW X6 combines a
new display and operating concept with unbeatable connectivity. It
includes a high-resolution instrument cluster and a Control Display,
both with a screen diagonal of 12.3 inches. The all-new BMW X6 comes
with the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, an intelligent digital
character who responds to the prompt “Hey BMW”. One unique feature
over other digital assistants is that drivers can choose their own
name for him. The arrival of the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant
ensures there is always a genuine BMW professional on board. He is
able to explain all sorts of different functions, provide up-to-date
information and assist the driver. The range of functions and skills
available will be constantly expanded as part of regular updates,
which can be carried out seamlessly on a smartphone and in-car via
  Remote Software Upgrade.

The all-new BMW X6 is now available for viewing at the Performance
Motors and Performance Munich Autos showrooms.

on and off manually too. This lighting function for the kidney grille
  is also available while driving.

If the optional BMW Laserlight with Adaptive LED

Four powerful engines and an M duo from
  launch.
The line-up of engines available for the new
BMW X6 from launch includes two petrol units and a pair of diesel
variants from the latest generation. The model line-up is spearheaded
  by a BMW M model with a newly developed 390 kW/530 hp V8 petrol
engine. The BMW X6 M50i (fuel consumption combined: 10.7–10.4 l/100 km
  [26.4–27.2 mpg imp]; CO2 emissions combined: 243–237 g/km)*
is joined in the range by the BMW X6 M50d (fuel consumption combined:
  7.2–6.9 l/100 km [39.2‑40.9 mpg imp]; CO2 emissions
  combined: 190–181 g/km)* with 294 kW/400 hp six-cylinder
in‑line diesel engine and a quartet of turbochargers. A straight-six
petrol unit with output of 250 kW/340 hp sees action in the
  BMW X6 xDrive40i (fuel consumption combined: 8.6–8.0 l/100 km
  [32.8–35.3 mpg imp]; CO2 emissions combined: 197–181

  172–159 g/km)* employs a six-cylinder in-line diesel with
195 kW/265 hp. All variants of the new BMW X6 fulfil the requirements
of the EU6d-TEMP emissions standard. The M Sport exhaust system fitted
as standard on both M models is also available as an option for the
other versions of the BMW X6 or as part of the M Sport package, and
gives the car an unmistakable and emotionally rich aural presence.

All new BMW X6 models come as standard with an eight-speed Steptronic
transmission, while intelligent all-wheel drive maximises traction,

Perfectly tuned chassis systems enhance sporting responses,
    comfort levels and off-road prowess.
A
double-wishbone front axle and five-link rear axle give the new BMW X6
the ideal suspension tools to deliver dynamism and ride comfort on the

Active Steering endows the car with exceptionally agile and
dynamic driving qualities, and the new BMW X6 is also available
with two-axle air suspension including automatic
self-levelling. The car’s height can be altered at the touch of a
button in the cockpit through a maximum 80 millimetres. An off-road
package is available for all model variants with the exception of the
BMW X6 M50i and BMW X6 M50d, allowing the driver to choose from four
modes that optimise progress over snow, sand, gravel or rocks
respectively. And at the press of a button, they can also activate the
ideal settings for the vehicle’s ride height, the xDrive system,

Innovative driver assistance systems offering new

collision protection. The Evasion Assistant is another component of
the Driving Assistant Professional, as are the rear collision warning,
road priority warning and wrong-way driving warning systems, crossing
traffic warning, Lane Change Warning and the Emergency Stop Assistant.
The innovative reversing assistant, which helps the driver when
exiting parking spaces and manoeuvring within a confined space,
represents another step en route to automated driving.

BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant is on hand to help the
  driver.
The BMW Live Cockpit Professional in the new
BMW X6 combines a new display and operating concept with unbeatable
connectivity. It includes a high-resolution instrument
cluster and a Control Display, both

“The BMW X6 is the only Sports Activity Coupé in its segment which
has already posted global sales of almost quarter of a million. The
dynamic vehicle also enjoys a special status among its BMW X model
rivals thanks to its irresistible allure, intoxicating performance
attributes and innovative luxury,” said Karen Lim, President Director
BMW Group Indonesia. “Starting in June, the new BMW X6 xDrive35i will
meet the individual requirements of Indonesian customers in terms of
charisma, luxury and dynamics,” added Karen.

  The Design : Extrovert Athleticism

The design of the all-new BMW X6 body combines the robust presence of
a BMW X model with the hallmark elegance of the brand’s Coupés to
create an athletic appearance. The long bonnet, long wheelbase, short
front overhang and set-back passenger compartment are characteristic
design features of a BMW. Its high window sill and large wheel arches,
plus the short distance between the front axle and the instrument
panel, all indicate stability, highlighting the Sports Activity
Coupé’s ties to the BMW X model family.

Dynamic proportions and flowing lines symbolise the all-new BMW X6’s
agile handling on the road, while the muscular aspects of the
vehicle’s design demonstrate its versatility and appetite for action
off the beaten track. At the front end of the vehicle, the
X-shaped contour lines of the bumper, the
matt-silver underbody protection, the powerful design
of the BMW kidney grille and the arrangement of the twin
circular headlights and front foglamps are the most prominent
signature features of a BMW X model.
Sweeping chrome inserts and the three-dimensional design of the
    lights underline the sophisticated
  character of the
  Adaptive LED Headlights.

The side view of the all-new BMW X6 is likewise defined by
eye-catching lines and sharply-drawn contours. The wedge shape of
the silhouette is accentuated by a model-specific interpretation of
the double swage lines. At the rear, the three-dimensional LED light
strips of the two-section, L-shaped rear lights create a striking
    night-time look.

Interior: sporting elegance, modern luxury & advanced functionality.

The interior combines generous space with model-specific sports
features and a luxurious ambience, while attractive design and
equipment packages further highlight the exclusive style of the
  all-new BMW X6.

The all-new BMW X6 comes with standard equipment which goes well
beyond the previous model. The ambient lighting designs included
in the lighting package lend extra emphasis to the visual unity
between the instrument panel and door panels. LED units arranged in
a wrap-around contour line, as well as in other areas of the
interior, create an alluring effect. Blue, white and orange light
can be selected, either in monochrome or in six pre-stored
    combinations, via the iDrive system
  .

A 10.25-inch flatscreen Control Display comes as part of the
standard-fitted iDrive operating system. Automatic tailgate
operation and the 8-speed Steptronic sports transmission with steering
wheel shift paddles are all included, as are leather trim, and
four-zone air conditioning. The variability of the interior has also
been improved. The rear seat backrests can now be split/folded
40 : 20 : 40, allowing the capacity of the load compartment to be
increased in stages from 580 to a maximum 1,525 litres.

Design Pure Extravagance: lending the exterior and interior
      an exclusive aura.

The all-new BMW X6 comes with the Pure Extravagance equipment
package, which adds striking, high-quality accents to the exterior.
The Pure Extravagance package gives the all-new BMW X6 an exclusive
appearance with a host of details, some of which – in addition to
their uniform Cerium Grey colour scheme - also have a model-specific
design. These include optical underbody protection elements in
stainless steel for the front and rear apron; distinctive trim for the
Air Breathers on the front side panels, the trim strip on the trailing
edge of the tailgate and the exterior mirror caps; and 20-inch
light-alloy wheels in V-spoke design and bi-colour finish with
  mixed-size tyres.

The Pure Extravagance package for the exterior is combined with the
interior finished in ‘Dakota’ leather upholstery for the sport seats
and BMW Individual ‘Walknappa’ leather for the instrument panel. The
vehicle’s luxurious interior ambience is rounded off by Aluminium fine
  cutting interior trim strips.

Majestic performance: noticeably greater dynamic ability,
fuel consumption cut by up to 22 percent & permanently active
      intelligent all-wheel drive.

The all-new BMW X6 is being launched as BMW X6 xDrive35i with a
powerful three-liter BMW TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder petrol
engine with twin-scroll turbocharger, Valvetronic, Double VANOS and
  High Precision Injection.

The all-new BMW X6 is blessed with exceptional efficiency and great
performance abilities, an eight-speed Steptronic sport transmission
with average fuel consumption (as per EU test cycle) of 11.8 km/liter
and CO2 emissions of 198g/km. The three-liter engine generates 306 hp
and reaches 100 km/h from standstill in just 6.4 seconds with a top
speed of 240 km/h.The standard – and permanently active – intelligent
all-wheel-drive system, BMW xDrive, optimises traction, directional
stability and cornering dynamics, as the situation requires.

Further refined ride comfort can be achieved courtesy of air
suspension at the rear axle and Dynamic Damper Control, which are
    included in the
  Comfort adaptive suspension package.

    Extended BMW

    EfficientDynamics technology as standard
  .

As well as the COMFORT, SPORT and SPORT+ settings, the Driving
Experience Control switch on the centre console also allows the driver
to activate ECO PRO mode. In ECO PRO mode,
the engine management, accelerator response and transmission
characteristics are systematically tailored to support a very
fuel-efficient, low-rpm driving style. At the same time,
ECO PRO mode also programs electrically-powered
functions like the climate control, heated seats and heated exterior
mirrors for extra-efficient energy management. ECO PRO mode
also includes a coasting function, which decouples the
engine from the rest of the powertrain whenever the driver lifts off
the accelerator at speeds between 50 and 160 km/h and doesn’t brake at
the same time. This allows the new BMW X6 to coast without engine
  braking, ensuring maximised fuel efficiency.

  The BMW Head-Up Display.

For the all-new BMW X6, the BMW Head-Up Display – which projects
important information in full colour onto the windscreen – now
includes additional content. When required, telephone contact lists
and entertainment information can also be projected into the driver’s
direct field of view. As well as vehicle speed, 3D graphics also show
Check Control messages, navigation information – including lane
recommendations – and further information supplied by the driver
  assistance systems.

    Innovative features and BMW
  ConnectedDrive.
Adaptive LED headlights, Comfort
Access and other high-class equipment underline the innovative
character of the all-new BMW X6. Driving pleasure and long-distance
comfort, meanwhile, is further enhanced by features including the
Navigation System Professional with Touch Controller and
-Harman/Kardon surround sound system with 600 W output.

technology. The different drive characteristics ECO PRO, Comfort and
Sport are staged in characteristic designs in accordance with the mode
selected at the Driving Experience Control including ECO PRO Power and
  torque readings.

The all-new BMW X6 xDrive35i will be available at BMW Authorized
Dealers from June 2015. The vehicle will be offered at a price of Rp.
1,889,000,000 off-the-road, and comes with BMW Service Inclusive,
which includes free-of-charge regular maintenance for 5 years or
60,000 km, whichever comes first, as well as a 36-month warranty

  The new BMW X6.

  Imposing performance, exemplary efficiency.

Singapore. BMW Group Asia has unveiled the
second-generation BMW X6, Sports Activity Coupé (SAC), which is armed
with an even more potent design presence and outstanding performance.
The new BMW X6 xDrive50i makes its local debut with the
latest-generation V8-engine that can generate up to 450hp and a peak
  torque of up to 650Nm.

The BMW X6 has already posted global sales of almost 260,000 and
enjoys a special status among BMW X model rivals thanks to its
irresistible allure, intoxicating performance attributes and
  innovative luxury.

“The new BMW X6 offers a majestic performance with noticeably greater
dynamic ability at a reduced fuel consumption rate by as much as 22
percent thanks to BMW EfficientDynamics features like BMW TwinPower
Turbo technology, weight-saving optimisations and enhanced
aerodynamics,” said Mr. Sethipong Anutarasoti, Corporate Affairs
Director of BMW Group Asia. “The new BMW X6 is also powered by the
intelligent all-wheel drive system BMW xDrive, which optimises
traction, directional stability and cornering dynamics as the
  situation requires.”

The extrovert design of the new BMW X6 blends the robustness and
versatility of a BMW X model with the sporting elegance typical of the
brand’s Coupés. The interior combines generous space with
model-specific sports features and a luxurious ambience, while
attractive design and equipment packages further highlight the
exclusive style of the new BMW X6.

Efficient Dynamics: BMW TwinPower Turbo technology.

The flagship engine for the new BMW X6 is a V8 petrol unit. The
latest version of the 4.4-litre engine at the heart of the new BMW X6
xDrive50i increases the predecessor model’s maximum output by 10
percent – to 450 hp (+43 hp) – yet posts a 22 percent drop in average
fuel consumption. The engine’s suite of BMW TwinPower Turbo technology
now welcomes VALVETRONIC variable valve timing alongside its two
turbochargers and High Precision Direct Petrol Injection, endowing the
eight-cylinder engine with improved responsiveness and pulling power
and also giving it extra efficiency. Peak torque of 650 Nm (+50 Nm) is
now on tap between 2,000 and 4,500 rpm, and the new BMW X6 xDrive50i
  powers from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds (+ 0.6 seconds improvement)
against the previous model. Fuel consumption is 9.7 l/100km and CO2
emissions stand at 227 g/km (according to average EU test cycle).

BMW xDrive and Dynamic Performance Control:

Intelligent all-wheel drive and torque vectoring.

By constantly shifting drive between the front and rear wheels as
required, BMW xDrive provides a very special take on the driving
pleasure for which BMW is renowned. In its latest version, the
transfer case of the intelligent all-wheel drive displays enhanced
efficiency and a 1.4 kg reduction in weight. The link-up between the
all-wheel-drive system and DSC (Dynamic Stability Control) even allows
the drive split to be adjusted in advance. As a result,
all-wheel-drive performance is on hand even before slip can occur –
not only on loose ground, but also through dynamically taken corners –
and the engine’s full power is transformed into driving pleasure.

Dynamic Performance Control allows the distribution of power to be
even more finely adjusted. Likewise electronically controlled, this
system is integrated into the rear differential. Working in tandem
with xDrive, it creates an intoxicating blend of handling dynamics and
directional stability. Dynamic Performance Control, which is available
as part of the optional Dynamic and Professional adaptive suspension
packages, seamlessly varies the power split between the rear wheels
(torque vectoring). This results in further noticeable improvements in
steering response and roadholding at all speeds. Dynamic Performance
Control maintains its stabilising action if the driver lifts off the
  accelerator through a corner.

The all-wheel driving experience is further enriched – above all off
the beaten track – by the new xDrive status display in the Control
Display. Boasting 3D graphics, this standard-fitted feature shows
real-time information on body roll and pitch. In vehicles equipped
with the optional Navigation System Professional, a compass display is
additionally shown in the instrument cluster. Also contributing to
safe and self-assured progress on challenging terrain is the standard
  Hill Descent Control (HDC) system.

  Chassis and body:

A compelling fusion of dynamics and comfort.

The ongoing evolution of the Sports Activity Coupé concept has
enabled the new BMW X6 to offer an even broader variety of qualities
than its predecessor. Enhanced dynamics go hand in hand with improved
efficiency, the car’s sporting prowess and versatility have been
optimised, as have ride comfort and safety, the cabin ambience has
gained in luxury and interior functionality has also been taken to the
next level. Much of the credit for this eye-catching progress across
all areas goes to the targeted advances in chassis technology made
with the new BMW X6 and a body structure rooted in the principle of
  intelligent lightweight design.

The combination of a double-wishbone, double-joint front axle and the
integral rear axle patented by BMW – which proved its mettle in the
previous model and has since benefited from detailed optimisation –
underpins a blend of sporting agility and impressive ride comfort that
none of its rivals can match. Further improvements have been made in
various areas, including the car’s directional stability, the friction
coefficient of the wheel bearings, tyre noise and weight, which has
been reduced by 2kg at the front axle alone. The optional trailer
coupling now has an electrically swivelling ball head and allows
towing capacity of up to 3.5 tonnes. When in use, the trailer
stability control system integrated into the DSC (Dynamic Stability
Control) system is activated. This system is highly effective in
preventing possible rolling motions through the trailer by means of
  carefully calculated brake inputs.

The new BMW X6 is fitted as standard with Electric Power Steering
including Servotronic speed-sensitive power assistance. Meanwhile,
Active Steering – available as an option – also adjusts the steering
ratio to the car’s current speed. This reduces the steering effort
required for low-speed manoeuvring, for example, and provides precise
responses and clear feedback at high speeds. The electromechanical
parking brake with Auto Hold function is also standard specification
  on the new BMW X6.

Intelligent lightweight design: increased body rigidity,
    reduced weight.

The success of the intelligent lightweight design techniques applied
in the development of the body structure for the new BMW X6 can be
seen in the car’s fuel consumption as well as its agility in the hands
of a sporty driver. Measures such as the considered use of high and
ultra-high tensile as well as hot-stamped steels lend the body
improved torsional stiffness compared with the predecessor model and
increase the strength of the safety passenger cell.

Employing ultra-high-strength steels, and the use of thermoplastics
in the side panels, aluminium in the bonnet and magnesium in the
instrument panel support, all help to reduce the car’s weight.
Overall, the significantly expanded standard specification of the new
car compared to its predecessor has not, therefore, led to higher
numbers on the scales. In actual fact, given identical equipment
levels the new BMW X6 would actually be up to 40 kg lighter, depending
on the model. Moreover, this intelligent mix of materials helps to
achieve a virtually 50:50 weight distribution.

The new BMW X6 also sets new standards when it comes to aerodynamics.
Air Curtains, Air Breathers, optimised airflow over the rear, air
deflectors on the front wheel arches, cooling air flaps (depending on
the model) which can be actively closed in both the upper and the
lower section of the front end, and an array of other details allow
the car’s drag coefficient to drop significantly.

Design Pure Extravagance and M Sport package:

  For enhanced functionality and exclusivity.

A particularly extensive selection of optional extras, the new Design
Pure Extravagance equipment variant and the model-specific M Sport
package create additional scope for tailoring the new BMW X6 precisely
to individual requirements in terms of charisma, luxury and dynamics.

Customers can choose from six colours for the standard Dakota leather
trim, including the new variants Cognac and Coral red with black
accent seams. Also on the options list are sports seats, comfort
seats, electric seat adjustment with memory function and active seat
ventilation. Four-zone climate control can be specified as an
alternative to the standard two-zone system, allowing individual
temperature and ventilation control in the rear compartment as well.
Driving pleasure and long-distance comfort can also be enhanced with
features including the Navigation System Professional with Touch
Controller, the Bang & Olufsen high-end surround-sound system and
the new Rear Entertainment System Professional. All model variants of
the new BMW X6 feature 19-inch light-alloy wheels as standard. Further
19-inch as well as 20-inch light-alloys are optionally available.

Optimised functionality: variable-use load compartment, hands-free
tailgate opening and closing. The variability of the interior has also
been raised another notch. The rear seat backrests can now be
split/folded 40:20:40, allowing the capacity of the load compartment
to be increased in stages from 580 to a maximum 1,525 litres. There
are 10/75 litres of extra storage space in the new BMW X6 compared
with the predecessor model. Numerous stowage compartments, plus door
pockets which can accommodate 1.5-litre bottles at the front and
one-litre bottles in the rear, also contribute to impressive levels of
functionality in everyday and touring use.

Automatic tailgate operation is also included in the standard
specification for the new BMW X6. The tailgate can now be both opened
and closed via remote control and from the driver’s seat at the touch
of a button. Maximum convenience when it comes to loading and
unloading the new BMW X6 is provided by the hands-free tailgate
opening and closing function, which comes as part of the optional
Comfort Access feature. Sensors detect foot movements underneath the
rear apron and send out signals which prompt the electric tailgate
  into action.

The tailgate comes as standard with a Soft Close Automatic function,
which is also available for the doors as an option. The new BMW X6 can
also be ordered with an electrically operated glass sunroof whose
surface has the same width but is almost 12 cm longer than on the
predecessor model. The optional roof rails can be specified in two
variants: high-gloss black and Aluminium satinated.

  Design Pure Extravagance:

Lending the exterior and interior an exclusive aura.

Customers keen to experience the new BMW X6 beyond its standard form
may well be attracted by a design and equipment variant which provides
a particularly vivid showcase for the assured presence and exclusive
aura of the Sports Activity Coupé. A new Design Pure Extravagance
option is available for both the exterior and the interior, with each
package also available separately to complement standard
specification. In addition, the Design Pure Extravagance line for the
interior can be combined with the M Sport package.

The Design Pure Extravagance option for the exterior helps give the
new BMW X6 an unmistakably exclusive appearance with a host of
details, some of which – in addition to their uniform Cerium Grey
colour scheme – also have a model-specific design. These include
optical underbody protection elements in stainless steel for the front
and rear apron, illuminated door sill strips and footplates in
aluminium for the driver’s and front passenger’s door, kidney grille
bars with a distinctive geometry, bespoke inserts and bars for the air
intakes, distinctive trim for the Air Breathers on the front side
panels, the trim strip on the trailing edge of the tailgate, and the
exterior mirror caps. Adding a unique flourish to the side view is the
combination of exterior mirror bases and B- and C-pillar trim in
high-gloss black, plus aluminium surrounds in Cerium Grey for the side
windows and exterior mirror caps. Another exclusive feature of the
Design Pure Extravagance line for the exterior are 20-inch light-alloy
wheels in V-spoke design and bi-colour finish with mixed-size tyres.

The Design Pure Extravagance package for the interior is available in
a choice of two similarly stylish variants sporting different colour
schemes. This option centres around Exclusive Nappa leather trim with
extended features, an equipment item that includes seat surfaces in
the new Ivory White/Black or Cognac/Black bi-colour variants. The
particularly high-grade leather in Ivory White or Cognac is applied to
the seats, centre console, armrests and door panels. In addition, the
upper-arm trim panels and instrument panel are both lined with black
fulled leather which, like the black bolsters of the seat surfaces and
backrests, are adorned with contrast stitching. Depending on the
colour selected for the leather trim, the car’s exclusive interior
ambience is rounded off by American Oak or Fineline Stripe fine wood
interior trim strips. The Design Pure Extravagance line for the
interior also comprises a car key with buttons in Pearl Gloss Chrome.

Making a clear case for maximum dynamics:

M Sport package for the new BMW X6.

A model-specific M Sport package can also be ordered for the new BMW
X6 from launch. The dynamic character of the Sports Activity Coupé is
accentuated by aerodynamically optimised body elements with large air
intakes at the front end, strikingly contoured side skirts, a diffuser
insert for the rear apron, as well as a bespoke BMW kidney grille
design with bars in aluminium matt and high-gloss chrome exhaust
tailpipe embellishers in the style of the eight-cylinder model. The
lower borders of the wheel arches along with the side skirts are
painted in body colour. The M Sport package also includes BMW
  Individual High-gloss Shadow Line trim, 19-inch M light-alloy wheels
in twin-spoke design, Adaptive M suspension with specially tuned
Dynamic Damper Control, and rear-axle air suspension with automatic self-levelling.

As well as aluminium door sill strips bearing the M logo and the
anthracite-coloured BMW Individual roof liner, features including
electrically adjustable sports seats for the driver and front
passenger in leather/Alcantara, interior trim strips in Aluminium
Hexagon and an M leather steering wheel all combine to bring an
intense aura of sporty driving to the interior of the new BMW X6. A
specially designed car key is also part of the M Sport package.

The new BMW X6 will also be available on indent basis in two other
  engine variants; BMW X6 xDrive35i and BMW X6 xDrive30d.

The new BMW X6 is available for viewing at Performance Motors’
  showroom from 15 January 2015.

Singapore. BMW Asia today introducedthe new BMW X6,
which now comes with enhanced appeal to augment the unique
combination of sporty dynamics and supreme versatility that this
world’s first ever Sports Activity Coupé already offers.

The new BMW X6 is also offered with the BMW Individual program, which
includes BMW Individual Paintwork, BMW Individual Leather and BMW
  Individual Interior Trim.

“The new BMW X6 is a distinctive model that is well-liked for its
highly expressive design and unique combination between the
athleticism and elegance of a coupé and the supremacy of a BMW X
model. Coupled with the BMW Individual program, revised looks and
equipped with standard M Sport Edition for the first time, the new BMW
X6 is made even more compelling than before,” said Mr Neil
Fiorentinos, Managing Director of BMW Group Asia. “Further, it offers
a fascinating driving experience which is driven by a powerful petrol
engine fitted with BMW TwinPower Turbo Technology and the intelligent
all-wheel-drive system xDrive, which comes with Dynamic Performance Control.”

“More than 150,000 units of the BMW X6 have already been sold since
its initial market launch about three years ago, and this has far
exceeded our expectations. The demand for this Sports Activity Coupé
continues to grow strong and is definitely a firm affirmation for its
unique yet popular design,” concluded Mr Fiorentinos.

  The BMW Individual Paintwork.

In line with the understatement embodied in the BMW design language
that governs all model series, the experts at BMW Individual always
try to harmonize each customer's wishes with the BMW philosophy. The
Individual paintwork is more than a color: It captivates its customers
through its unique brilliance and sophisticated iridescent effects.
Thanks to a fine pigmentation, changing nuances appear, depending on
how the light falls, which give the surface a new dimension and depth.
The intrinsic excitement of the color black is demonstrated in three
variations: including Azurite Black metallic, Ruby Black metallic and
Citrine Black metallic. When it comes to avant-garde exterior colors:
the elegant, light shades of Pearl Silver metallic preferred
particularly by buyers in sunny regions: Under blue skies, this paint
finish shines with a special glamour.

  The BMW Individual Leather.

The Merino leather used by BMW Individual is characterized by its
uniquely refined appeal, extreme durability and comfort. Gentle
tanning methods and "barrel pigmentation", in which the dye
penetrates through intensive rotation and is not just applied to the
surface; give this material its richness of color, strength and
durability. The living structure of this leather comes from its
natural graining rather than artificial embossing. The finish applied
in the semi-aniline process stops fading caused by light, and yet the
leather stays breathable. The combination of all these sophisticated
yet gentle processes produces seats that are as soft and as smooth as
velvet. BMW Individual will offer customers five color choices of
Merino leather: Platinum, Champagne, Slate, Criollo Brown and Amaro Brown.

  BMW Individual Interior trimmings.

It’s the many details that make the difference with BMW Individual.
The BMW Individual interior trimmings available include; the BMW
Individual fine-wood trim with a sophisticated red-brown, figured
eucalyptus finishing; a Piano Black finishing; and “Wallenappa”
finishing with braided black patterning, akin to a carbon fibre weave
look that evokes a sporty and emotional mood – all of which comes with
  a high gloss finish.

Attractive supplements to the program of external paint
finishes, light alloy wheel and leather trim.

The program of external paint finishes for the new BMW X6 consists of
an attractive range of standard colours and opens up the possibilities
of bespoke customization with BMW Individual range. The available BMW
Individual colours include: Citrine Black metallic, Ruby Black
metallic, Azurite Black metallic and Pearl Silver metallic.

The standard equipment range of the new BMW X6 also includes 20-inch
light alloy wheels. In all new BMW X6 models, these now feature a new
double spoke design in bi-colour. An optional feature for the BMW X6
is an engine compartment lid with strikingly shaped powerdome which
additionally highlights the powerful appearance of the Sports Activity Coupé.

The standard leather trim Nevada is now also available in the colour
Vermilion Red. The exclusive nappa leather option with extended
features now includes a choice between the colours Black and Ivory
White. The new BMW X6 is offered as standard as a five-seater model.
The luggage compartment volume of the Sports Activity Coupé is 570
litres and can be extended to up to 1,450 litres by folding down the
  rear backrests.

The M Sport Edition is further offered as standard for the new BMW
X6. This attractive equipment package includes 20-inch M light alloy
wheels in double spoke design and bi-colour finish with mixed tyres,
adaptive LED headlamps, BMW Individual high-gloss Shadow Line, black
surrounds for the fog lights and M door sill cover strips. The
striking accentuations for the exterior are supplemented with a sporty
interior ambience. Features here include the sports seats with
electrical adjustment and memory function, Alcantara/Nappa leather
combination in black with M-style welt and contrast stitching, M
leather steering wheel with shift paddles, stainless steel pedals,
interior strips in Aluminium Flywheel black and the BMW Individual
  roof liner in anthracite.

Striking accentuations at the front and rear, adaptive LED
    headlamps as standard.

Precisely modified details in the front view give the new BMW X6 an
appearance characterised by exclusive athleticism and supremacy.

The standard fog lights are now set in matt finish surrounds in the
upper area of the outer air inlets. Their higher and more lateral
position emphasises the width of the vehicle. The striking three
dimensional modelling of the frame and newly designed bars, angled in
the lower section, make the BMW kidney grille stand out especially
conspicuously within the vehicle front section. The angle of the
grille bars is flush with the bottom of the headlamp units, thereby
creating an additional horizontal line which likewise highlights the
wide track and stable road-holding of the new BMW X6.

As an alternative to the bi-xenon light, the new BMW X6 is the first
vehicle in its segment to be fitted standard with adaptive LED
headlamps. Their bright white light ensures optimum visibility, while
their high-quality appearance represents a new interpretation of the
brand's hallmark twin circular headlamps. The three dimensionally
shaped luminous rings of the adaptive LED headlamps are strikingly
levelled off both at the top and bottom and are overlaid at the upper
edge by an LED-fed accent light. The light sources for low and high
beam light are LED units positioned on a horizontal bar at its centre,
feeding their light into the reflectors in front.

With its newly designed rear lights with LED technology, the
powerfully shaped rear section of the new BMW X6 also features more
intense styling. The rear lights are now two LED-fed light banks which
create the brand's hallmark night design as a harmoniously glowing
light mass. The fact that they are horizontally aligned and stretch
far out to the sides emphasises both the width of the vehicle and the
flowing transition between the side section and rear.

The new BMW X6: dynamic, supreme, efficient, innovative.

With the market launch of the new BMW X6, the combination of supreme
appearance, agile driving properties and hallmark brand efficiency so
characteristic of the Sports Activity Coupé is raised to a new level.
The petrol engines with BMW TwinPower Turbo Technology available for
the BMW X6 deliver impressive pulling power and exemplary low fuel
consumption figures. The V8 engine of the BMW X6 xDrive50i delivers
  407 bhp, while in the BMW X6 xDrive35i an in-line 6-cylinder petrol
engine with 306 bhp ensures supreme athletic performance.

The engine power of the new BMW X6 is transferred by means of a
standard 8-speed sports transmission including shift paddles at the
steering wheel. Dynamic Performance Control is a standard feature in
all versions of the BMW X6 as an element of the intelligent all-wheel
drive system xDrive. This gives greater precision to the
electronically controlled power distribution so as to optimise driving
stability, traction and dynamic performance. It particularly comes to
bear when taking bends in sporty style. Even as the car enters the
bend, xDrive feeds additional power to the rear wheels so as to
support an agile turn-in response. By means of continuously variable
distribution of drive torque between the rear wheels, Dynamic
Performance Control also optimises tracking stability under high
transverse acceleration forces as well as traction when accelerating
out of a bend. For additional enhancement of agility and supremacy,
the systems Active Steering and Adaptive Drive are offered with
electronically controlled dampers and roll stabilisation.

The progressive character of the new BMW X6 is also underscored by
the extensive range of driver assistance systems and mobility services
from BMW ConnectedDrive. In addition to BMW Head-Up-Display, features
available for the Sports Activity Coupé include the optional systems
Lane Departure Warning, Speed Limit Info, as well as, Side View and
Rear View camera with Top View which comes standard. The new BMW X6 is
also optimised by means of intelligent networking with the integration
of smartphones and music players in the vehicle and the use of
  innovative infotainment functions.

The new BMW X6 is now available for viewing at Performance Motors’ showroom.

Outstanding driving dynamics and unique design made the BMW X6
the clear favourite of the "Off Road" specialist magazine
readership. Winning by a clear margin, the first Sports Activity Coupe
in the world scored top marks in the "Four by Four of the Year
2009" competition's "Crossover" category. The finishing
touches to the BMW X models' success story were added when the BMW X5
was selected third in the "Luxury SUV" category. The
excellent score that BMW X models achieved during the "Off
Road" reader survey is a reflection of the undiminished attraction
of BMW X models and proves the successful reinterpretation of their
most important features in the context of a completely new vehicle
segment. The superior driving dynamics of the winning Sports Activity
Coupe BMW X6 are underlined by the model's coupe-like line arrangement
and powerful stance, which made their presence felt from the first.
The new vehicle concept is closely connected with a unique driving
experience. Dynamic Performance Control, introduced with the BMW X6,
carries out the variable distribution of drive power between the front
and rear wheels not only by means of the electronically controlled BMW
xDrive all-wheel-drive but also between both rear wheels, thus
consistently adjusting to driving conditions at all times and in all
situations. Attributes such as agility, steering precision, stability
and traction are raised to new dimensions. Due to its modern drive
technology, which includes the integration of extensive BMW
EfficientDynamics technology, the BMW X6 also meets the requirements for
reduced consumption and emission rates. An EU test cycle showed an
average fuel consumption of 8.2 litres for 100 kilometres. With this
result, the 173 kW/235 hp BMW X6 xDrive30d has achieved an efficiency
that until quite recently would have been regarded as inconceivable for
its category and performance class. Exactly ten years ago, the German
manufacturer of premium cars laid down the foundations of the BMW X
models' success by launching the predecessor of the current BMW X5 -
the first Sports Activity Vehicle. The BMW X5 with its unique
combination of sporting on-road characteristics and confident off-road
traction defined new standards. Its predecessor boosted the
attractiveness of the Sports Activity Vehicle concept not just in terms
of dynamic driving but also with the combination of luxurious appeal
with high functionality in the interior and the exemplary efficiency of
its drive technology. Accolades awarded by the "Off Road"
specialist magazine rate high among manufacturers of all-wheel drive
cars. They are based on the assessment of a readership whose
substantial expertise and strong affinity to and fascination for
off-road driving is on a par with that of the magazine's highly
competent and experienced editorial team. Last year, "Off
Road" magazine celebrated its thirtieth anniversary. The
magazine's highly qualified readership has been taking part in the
annual selection of the most popular off-road vehicles in the German
market since 1982. The current success in the "Off Road"
reader survey is yet another achievement in a series of awards won by
BMW X models in the recent past. Sales figures in this segment are
another indicator of the sustained success of BMW X models. Ten years
after the launch of the BMW X5, more than 1.3 million BMW X models have
been sold, more than 243,000 of these in 2008 alone. Their enormous
popularity was a major contribution to the fact that BMW successfully
consolidated its position as the most successful global supplier of
all-wheel drive premium cars in 2008. A total of 27% of all newly
registered BMW models are equipped with xDrive and the near future will
bring yet another expansion of the BMW X range. In addition to the BMW
X6, BMW X5 and BMW X3 models, the car manufacturer will soon launch the
new BMW X1. This new model will re-interpret the characteristic
attributes of this vehicle segment in the context of the premium
compact category.

Press Contact: Cindy Chia
Tel: +65-6838-9629
E-mail: cindy.chia@bmwasia.com

Press Release,X6,Product,BMW

Description in Brief. 2.World Debut of the First Sports
Activity Coupé: The BMW X6. • Concept innovation: As the
creator of the Sports Activity Vehicle, BMW is now presenting the
world's first Sports Activity Coupé. • The BMW X6 offers a
brand-new, innovative interpretation of the features and design
qualities typical of a large BMW Coupé. And at the same time it
is the most sporting and dynamic rendition of a BMW X Model. Through
its design alone, the BMW X6 authentically visualises superior driving
dynamics and outstanding supremacy. • Individual and extravagant
looks: Sporting, striking front end with large air intakes, stretched
side-line, low greenhouse, clear emphasis on the wheels as an
expression of powerful presence, classic coupé proportions,
generous, convex-concave surfaces, sweeping flow of the roofline into
the powerful rear end. • The BMW X6 comes as standard with BMW's
intelligent xDrive all-wheel drive technology and is the first vehicle
in the world to offer Dynamic Performance Control for unique agility,
tracking stability, precision and traction in every situation. Variable
distribution of drive power is thus ensured not just between the front
and rear axle - by xDrive - but also, through Dynamic Performance
Control, between the two rear wheels left and right. This maintains a
superior stabilising function even under sudden load change and in
overrun. • Newly developed top-of-the-range power unit: V8 gasoline
engine with Twin Turbo technology and direct gasoline injection (High
Precision Injection), the world's first eight-cylinder gasoline engine
with the turbo-charger and catalytic converters housed in the V-section
between the two rows of cylinders. This innovative arrangement ensures
uniquely compact dimensions and serves to reduce pressure losses on the
intake and exhaust side. Capacity 4,395 cc, max output 300 kW/407 hp
from 5,500-6,400 rpm, max torque 600 Nm/442 lb-ft from 1,750-4,500 rpm.
Most efficient engine in its class, outperforming ULEV II and EU5
emission standards, BMW EfficientDynamics combined with maximum power
and performance. • Unique range of power units: V8 gasoline engine
with Twin Turbo (300 kW/407 hp), straight-six with Twin Turbo (225
kW/306 hp), straight-six diesel with Variable Twin Turbo (210 kW/286
hp), straight-six diesel with turbocharger (173 kW/235 hp). •
Six-speed automatic transmission with optimised gearshift dynamics
standard on all engine variants, extremely fast gearshift, supreme
shift comfort, optimisation of fuel economy by converter lock-up clutch
operating largely free of slip, electronic gear selector lever and
gearshift paddles on the steering wheel featured as standard. •
The BMW X6 boasts a body structure conceived and designed for maximum
occupant safety. In combination with the car's passive safety systems,
this fulfils all prerequisites for excellent results in all crash-tests
relevant the world over. Occupant safety is ensured inter alia by
three-point inertia-reel seat belts on all seats, frontal and side
airbags as well as head airbags at the side, and crash-activated
headrests at the front. Bi-xenon dual headlights including a daytime
light function, foglamps, two-stage brake lights, and runflat tyres all
come as standard. • Innovative body and interior concept: Four-door
coupé with large tailgate opening far up to the top,
high-quality, sophisticated interior with a sporty and luxurious
ambience, four seats, large, highly adjustable luggage compartment
(570-1,450 litres/20.0-50.8 cu ft). • Interior design underlining
the outstanding, sporting character of the BMW X6. Leather sports
steering wheel with multifunction buttons and gearshift paddles
featured as standard, centre console with kneepads for the driver and
front passenger, front seats with versatile adjustment, in part
electric, two rear seats with individual seat contours typical of a
coupé and integrated headrests. • Suspension and driver
assistance systems (optional) exclusive to BMW: Adaptive Drive
(anti-roll and adaptive dampers), Active Steering, Head-Up Display,
Adaptive Headlights, Bending Lights, High-Beam Assistant, cruise
control with brake function. • Wide range of comfort functions and
innovative entertainment options: BMW iDrive with personalised
favourite buttons, CD-player compatible with an MP3, AUX-in bush
featured as standard, USP socket, multi-channel audio system, DVD
system at the rear, four-zone automatic air conditioning, active seat
ventilation, back-up camera, navigation systems, BMW Assist, BMW Online,
BMW TeleServices optional. • Engine variants: BMW X6 xDrive50i:
V8 gasoline engine with Twin Turbo and direct injection (High Precision
Injection) Capacity 4,395 cc, max output 300 kW/407 hp from 5,500-6,400
rpm, max torque from 600 Nm/442 lb-ft from 1,750-4,500 rpm,
Acceleration [0-100 km/h] in 5.4 seconds, Top speed 250 km/h (155 mph),
Average fuel consumption to EU standard 12.5 litres/100 km (22.6 mpg
imp), CO2 emissions to EU standard 299 g/km.
