Singapore.

BMW Asia announced the availability of the
all-new BMW X2, the car that first introduced the vehicle concept of a
Sports Activity Coupé (SAC) for the premium compact segment. Now, the
even more distinctive, sportier and forward-looking second generation
is taking to the stage. Significantly larger dimensions and a
pronounced coupé silhouette clearly showcase in its exterior design
the development leap taken by the all-new BMW X2.

“The all-new BMW X2 is guaranteed to turn heads on the road with its
athleticism, shaking up the premium compact segment in Singapore,”
said Mr. Lars Nielsen, Managing Director, BMW Group Asia. “As the
entry-point into the BMW SAC lineup next to the BMW X4 and BMW X6, the
BMW X2 appeals to the confident driver with an active lifestyle who
also desires something stylish for the urban jungle. Plus, its
Category A COE placement brings greater choice to our customers
  looking for a sporty drive.”

The all-new BMW X2 is produced flexibly on a single assembly line at
BMW Group Plant Regensburg. The progressive premium character profile
of the compact SAC is underscored by further advances in
sustainability encompassing the complete vehicle lifecycle – from
resource-preserving production through the use phase to subsequent recycling.

Exterior design: authentic Sports Activity Coupé with dynamic
    lines and a confident presence.

The all-new BMW X2 has a distinctive, visually expressive design
showing clear differentiation from the brand’s compact Sports Activity
Vehicle (SAV), the BMW X1. As such, it is instantly identifiable as a
pure-bred SAC. Also characteristic of the new model are its
dynamically stretched lines and a generous surface treatment. The
all-new BMW X2 has grown by 194 millimetres in length over its
predecessor to 4,554 millimetres, by 21 millimetres in width to 1,845
millimetres and by 64 millimetres in height to 1,590 millimetres.
Plus, its increased wheelbase and wider tracks benefit space in both
the five seats and the boot. The all-new BMW X2 has a luggage capacity
  of 560 litres.

The model-specific, upright front end of the all-new BMW X2 exudes
confidence and presence. Its defining elements are striking Adaptive
LED headlights with non-dazzling matrix high beam and an almost
  hexagonal BMW kidney grille.

The roofline, which flows along an unbroken path into the rear end,
creates a slim, coupé-shaped silhouette and proportions in the
signature style of an SAC from BMW. At the rear, the prominently
flared wheel arches and muscular shoulders come to the fore. The
horizontal contours of the model-specific rear light design further
enrich the sporting flavour, as do a Gurney-style spoiler and an
  eye-catching rear apron.

The M Sport package brings aerodynamically optimised exterior details
like M High-gloss Shadowline exterior trim, and M roof rails with
High-gloss Shadowline. Customers can choose from four paint finishes
including two two-tone variants for the exterior of their all-new BMW
X2, including the new Fire Red metallic variant.

Premium ambience with a sporting flavour; impressive functionality.

The interior of the all-new BMW X2 has a modern premium ambience with
sporting touches. The slender instrument panel, housing the BMW Curved
Display, is joined in the cabin by a “floating” armrest with integral
control panel. In the front section of the centre console are two cup
holders and a smartphone tray with indirect illumination and wireless charging.

The newly developed seats are also offered in the Veganza perforated
upholstery with sport seats, electric seat adjustment, and memory
function for the driver. Further improvements have been made to both
acoustic comfort and occupant protection. Standard equipment now
includes an interaction airbag between the driver’s seat and front
  passenger seat.

  Expanded standard equipment, targeted individualisation.

Two-zone automatic climate control, the navigation system BMW Maps
and an M Sport leather steering wheel all come as standard in the
all-new BMW X2, as do automatic tailgate operation, four USB-C ports
and a 12V power socket in both the centre console and the boot. The
number of driver assistance systems and digital services available has
also increased significantly over the predecessor model. Other
standard equipment includes the interior and exterior mirror package.

Efficient petrol engine, seven-speed Steptronic transmission
    with double clutch as standard.

A three-cylinder petrol unit from the latest modular generation of
the Efficient Dynamics engine family powers the all-new BMW X2
sDrive16i. The 1.5-litre engine delivers maximum output of 90 kW/122
hp. A standard seven-speed Steptronic transmission with double clutch
is available in the all-new BMW X2.

Optimum blend of agility and ride comfort, 21-inch light-alloy
wheels optionally available for a compact BMW model for the first time.

The compact SAC’s sophisticated chassis technology produces a
perfectly harmonious balance between sporty, agile handling on the one
hand and long-distance comfort on the other. All the tools required
here are provided by a body construction that reduces weight while
increasing rigidity, a long wheelbase, wider tracks than the
predecessor model, and targeted upgrades to the single-joint spring
strut axle at the front and the three-link rear axle. Near-actuator
wheel slip limitation is fitted as standard in the new BMW X2,
benefiting both traction and directional stability. Other new features
include the integrated braking system and the extra, lift-related
damping at the front axle. The optional adaptive M suspension features
frequency-selective damping, sport steering and a 15-millimetre drop
in ride height. The all-new BMW X2 sDrive16i comes as standard with
  20-inch M light-alloy wheels.

State-of-the-art driver assistance systems for greater comfort
    and safety.

The standard and optional assistance systems for automated driving
and parking available in the all-new BMW X2 increase comfort and
safety both in everyday driving and on longer journeys. Standard
features include Cruise Control with brake function while the Parking
Assistant includes Reversing Assist Camera and Reversing Assistant
also forms part of the standard equipment roster.

The new BMW Operating System 9 and BMW Digital Premium.

The latest version of the BMW iDrive display and control/operation
system featuring QuickSelect rapid-access tech is fitted in the
all-new BMW X2. Based on BMW Operating System 9, it is packaged
together with the BMW Curved Display and BMW Intelligent Personal
Assistant, meaning it has been carefully geared to operation using the
touchscreen and natural language. BMW Operating System 9 also paves
the way for a highly customisable selection of additional digital
services. In addition to this, a Personal eSIM designed for 5G mobile
technology, the BMW Digital Key Plus, the BMW ID functionality and
standard smartphone integration using both Apple CarPlay® and Android
Auto™ are also all available in the all-new BMW X2.

Singapore. BMW Asia today launched the first-ever BMW
  iX1, all-new BMW X2, first-ever BMW i5 M60 xDrive and first-ever BMW
X1 M35i xDrive at the Singapore Motorshow 2024, Singapore’s largest
annual motoring event. From 11-14 January 2024, visitors can discover
the new models at the Suntec City Convention Centre (BMW – Level 4,
  Booth 115).

“After an exciting and very successful 2023 that concluded with
multiple expansions in Singapore from our dealer partners, we are
thrilled to kick-off 2024 with the launch of four exciting key
models,” said Mr. Lars Nielsen, Managing Director, BMW Group Asia.
“The first-ever BMW iX1 and all-new BMW X2 will be offered as Category
A COE models, further expanding our premium compact segment offerings
and solidifying our commitment to bring greater choice and flexibility
to our customers across the model range.”

Mr. Nielsen added, “In a continuation of 2023, the first-ever BMW i5
M60 xDrive is another highlight. After the great success of the BMW i4
M50, the BMW i5 M60 xDrive goes one step further in delivering driving
pleasure to M enthusiasts who are conscious about their carbon
footprint. Plus, we are introducing the range topping BMW X1 M35i
xDrive, building on the spontaneous driving pleasure of the BMW X1.”

  The first-ever BMW iX1.

As in all of the brand's current electric vehicles, the first-ever
BMW iX1 uses the current fifth generation BMW eDrive technology. A
highly integrated drive unit on the front axle of the entry-level
model generates an instantaneously available maximum torque of 250 Nm
in addition to the maximum output of 110 kW/147 hp. The compact Sports
Activity Vehicle (SAV) accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 10.5
seconds. Its top speed is electronically limited to 170 km/h.

  The all-new BMW X2.

The all-new BMW X2 has a distinctive, visually expressive design
showing clear differentiation from the brand’s compact SAV, the BMW
X1. As such, it is instantly identifiable as a pure-bred Sports
Activity Coupé (SAC).
The all-new X2 has a maximum load
  capacity of 560 litres.

  The first-ever BMW i5 M60 xDrive.

The first-ever BMW i5 M60 xDrive combines an up to 442 kW/601 hp
drive with hallmark M performance and specific design features. Two
highly integrated drive units on the front and rear axles make up an
electric all-wheel drive. The system torque generated is up to 820 Nm
when M Sport Boost or the M Launch Control function is activated. This
enables the first-ever BMW i5 M60 xDrive to accelerate from zero to
100 km/h in 3.8 seconds. Its top speed is electrically limited to 230 km/h.

  The first-ever BMW X1 M35i xDrive.

The first-ever BMW X1 M35i xDrive races to 100 km/h from rest in 5.4
seconds with a maximum output of 300hp, while top speed is
  electronically limited to 250 km/h. M-specific chassis technology –
including the option of M Compound brakes for the first time on a
performance model – teams up with BMW xDrive intelligent all-wheel
drive to deliver sublime performance characteristics. The sharper
character of the first-ever BMW X1 M35i xDrive is clearly apparent
both inside and out. The new range-topping model comes with the type
of exclusive design and equipment features originally reserved for
high-performance cars from BMW M GmbH. These include the two pairs of
  exhaust tailpipes.

  Digitalisation.

For the first time at the Singapore Motorshow, customers have the
opportunity to interact with the Emotional Virtual Experience (EVE).
Using 3D-rendering software, their vehicle of choice is presented in
almost photo-realistic quality, allowing exploration from all
available angles, including a detailed look at its interior and
exterior in different environments during the day and night.

Sports Activity Coupé (SAC) for the premium compact segment. And now
the even more distinctive, even sportier and even more forward-looking
second generation is taking to the stage. Significantly larger
dimensions and a pronounced coupé silhouette clearly showcase in its
exterior design the development leap taken by the new BMW X2. The
progressive character of the new model is also evident in the fully
electric BMW iX2 variant, as well as in a large spread of systems
enabling automated driving and parking, and in the innovative digital
services laid on by the new BMW iDrive with QuickSelect and BMW
  Operating System 9.

The worldwide market launch will get underway in March 2024 with the
all-electric BMW iX2 xDrive30 (electric power consumption combined in
  the WLTP cycle: 17.7 – 16.3 kWh/100 km; CO2 emissions:
  0 g/km; figures in NEDC cycle: – ), BMW X2 M35i xDrive performance
  model (fuel consumption combined: 8.0 – 7.7 l/ 100 km [35.3 – 36.7 mpg
  imp]; CO2 emissions combined: 181 – 174 g/km in the WLTP
cycle; figures in NEDC cycle: – ), one other petrol option and one
diesel model. In summer 2024 a second fully electric variant and
another diesel-engined example will be added to the line-up.

The new BMW X2 and new BMW iX2 will be produced flexibly on a single
assembly line at BMW Group Plant Regensburg. The high-voltage
batteries for the fully electric model variant are also made at the
Regensburg site. The new BMW iX2 sees the BMW Group further
accelerating the ramp-up of electric mobility. Added to which, the
progressive premium character profile of the compact SAC is
underscored by further advances in sustainability encompassing the
complete vehicle lifecycle – from resource-preserving production
through the use phase to subsequent recycling.

Exterior design: authentic Sports Activity Coupé with dynamic
    lines and a confident presence.

The new BMW X2 has a distinctive, visually expressive design showing
clear differentiation from the brand’s compact Sports Activity Vehicle
(SAV), the BMW X1. As such, it is instantly identifiable as a
pure-bred Sports Activity Coupé (SAC). Also characteristic of the new
model are its dynamically stretched lines and a generous surface
treatment. The new BMW X2 has grown by 194 millimetres in length over
its predecessor to 4,554 millimetres, by 21 millimetres in width to
1,845 millimetres and by 64 millimetres in height to
1,590 millimetres. Plus, its increased wheelbase and wider tracks
benefit space in both the five seats and the boot. The new X2 has a
maximum load capacity of 560 – 1,470 litres, depending on the model
variant. The BMW iX2 offers between 525 and 1,400 litres.

The model-specific, upright front end of the new BMW X2 exudes
confidence and presence. Its defining elements are striking LED
headlights and an almost hexagonal BMW kidney grille, which – in a
first for the premium compact segment – can be specified as an option
with BMW Iconic Glow contour lighting. Also on the options list are
Adaptive LED Headlights with non-dazzling matrix high beam.

M-specific design features such as the two pairs of exhaust tailpipes
integrated into the rear apron give the BMW X2 M35i xDrive a
particularly dynamic aura. An M Sport package is available for all
other model variants, including the new BMW iX2, and likewise brings
aerodynamically optimised exterior details. Also on the options list
is the M Sport package Pro, which adds extended M High-gloss
Shadowline exterior trim, M lights Shadowline, an M rear spoiler and
an M Sport braking system with red-painted callipers, among other features.

Customers can choose from two solid and eleven metallic paint
finishes for the exterior of their new BMW X2, including the new Fire
Red metallic variant. Two Frozen shades from BMW Individual and a
broad spectrum of BMW Individual special paint finishes are also available.

Premium ambience with a sporting flavour; impressive functionality.

The interior of the new BMW X2 has a modern premium ambience with
sporting touches. The slender instrument panel, housing the BMW Curved
Display, is joined in the cabin by a “floating” armrest with integral
control panel. In the front section of the centre console are two cup
holders and a smartphone tray with indirect illumination and wireless charging.

The newly developed seats are also offered in the Veganza perforated
variant and Vernasca leather with attractive quilting as alternatives
to the standard cloth upholstery. Customers can also specify sport
seats, electric seat adjustment with memory function, lumbar support
and a massage function. Further improvements have been made to both
acoustic comfort and occupant protection. Standard equipment now
includes an interaction airbag between the driver’s seat and front
  passenger seat.

Expanded standard equipment, targeted individualisation.

Two-zone automatic climate control, the navigation system BMW Maps
and a Sport leather steering wheel all come as standard in the new
BMW X2, as do automatic tailgate operation, four USB-C ports and a 12V
power socket in both the centre console and the boot. The number of
driver assistance systems and digital services available has also
increased significantly over the predecessor model.

Newly structured equipment packages enable targeted individualisation
of the car. Among the options available to enhance its premium
character are a mirror package, steering wheel heating and the Harman
Kardon Sound System. A highlight of the options list is the panoramic
glass sunroof, whose dark-tinted glass surface extends right up to the
windscreen and the roof frame on either side, and a long way back in a
single section into the rear part of the roof. An electrically
operated trailer tow hitch can also be ordered as an option.

BMW iX2: premium electric mobility in a compact SAC.

An all-electric variant will be part of the new SAC line-up from
launch in the shape of the BMW iX2 xDrive30. Its two highly integrated
drive units – one at the front axle and one at the rear – together
generate a system output of 230 kW/313 hp (including temporary boost),
  and system torque of 494 Nm (364 lb-ft). The iX2 xDrive30 accelerates
from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.6 seconds on the way to a top speed
  of 180 km/h (112 mph). A combination of the high-voltage battery’s
impressive 64.8 kWh of usable energy and the high efficiency of the
  drive system enable a range of 417 – 449 kilometres (259 – 279 miles)
  in the WLTP cycle.

Adaptive recuperation and the MAX RANGE function also contribute to
the outstanding range figures. The latest version of the Max
Performance Charging software optimises above all efficiency when
charging the car. Added to which, the fully electric SAC is equipped
to use the Plug & Charge Multi Contract function. And the new
Connected Home Charging Package for load- and solar-optimised charging
at home is also available for the BMW iX2.

BMW X2 M35i xDrive performance model already available from launch.

A performance model available from the launch of the new BMW X2 is
set to bring the compact SAC’s dynamic nature even more prominently to
the fore. The new BMW X2 M35i xDrive, with its hallmark M design and
handling characteristics, is an alluring proposition. Its 2.0-litre
four-cylinder engine produces maximum output of 221 kW/300 hp in
Europe (233 kW/317 hp in USA and other markets).

The new BMW X2 M35i xDrive sprints to 100 km/h (62 mph) from rest in
5.4 seconds. M-specific chassis tuning teams up with BMW xDrive
intelligent all-wheel drive to deliver sublime performance
characteristics. Its standard adaptive M suspension enhances both
agility and long-distance comfort. M Compound brakes are offered as an option.

Efficient petrol and diesel engines, seven-speed Steptronic
transmission with double clutch as standard.

A three-cylinder petrol unit from the latest modular generation of
the Efficient Dynamics engine family powers the new BMW X2 sDrive20i
  (fuel consumption combined: 6.5 – 6.0 litres/100 km [43.5 –
  47.1 mpg imp]; CO2 emissions combined: 148 – 136 g/km in
WLTP cycle; figures for the NEDC cycle: – ). Teaming up with the 48V
mild hybrid system, the 1.5-litre engine delivers maximum output of
125 kW/170 hp (developed by the combination of the combustion engine
with up to 115 kW/156 hp and the integrated electric motor with up to 14 kW/19 hp).

The four-cylinder diesel engine in the new BMW X2 sDrive18d (fuel
  consumption combined: 5.5 – 5.1 litres/100 km [51.4 – 55.4 mpg imp];
  CO<sub>2</sub> emissions combined: 145 – 133 g/km in WLTP cycle;
figures for the NEDC cycle: – ) has also undergone an extensive
upgrade. It produces maximum output of 110 kW/150 hp. All of the
combustion engines available for the new BMW X2 link up as standard
with a seven-speed Steptronic transmission with double clutch.

Optimum blend of agility and ride comfort, 21-inch light-alloy
wheels available for a compact BMW model for the first time.

The optional adaptive M suspension features
frequency-selective damping, sport steering and a 15‑millimetre drop
  in ride height.

The new BMW iX2 xDrive30 rides as standard on 17-inch light-alloy
wheels with an aerodynamically optimised design. The BMW X2 sDrive20i
and BMW X2 sDrive18d models leave the factory on
18-inch
light-alloy wheels, while the new BMW X2 M35i xDrive comes with
  20-inch M light-alloy wheels. Further light-alloy wheels ranging in
size from 18 to 21 inches are available as options.

State-of-the-art driver assistance systems for greater comfort
    and safety.

The standard and optional assistance systems for automated driving
and parking available in the new BMW X2 increase comfort and safety
both in everyday driving and on longer journeys. Standard features
include the latest version of the front collision warning system,
Cruise Control with brake function, Speed Limit Info and Lane
Departure Warning with lane return. The Parking Assistant including
Reversing Assist Camera and Reversing Assistant also forms part of the
  standard equipment roster.

The line-up of optional features, meanwhile, includes the Steering
and Lane Control Assistant, Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go
function, Active Navigation, the exit warning function and the BMW
Head-Up Display, as well as the Surround View, Remote 3D View, BMW
Drive Recorder and Remote Theft Recorder functions. Existing functions
can be upgraded by means of the Remote Software Upgrades facility,
which also makes it possible to add new functions.

The new BMW Operating System 9 and BMW Digital Premium.

The latest version of the BMW iDrive display and control/operation
system featuring QuickSelect rapid-access tech is fitted in the new
BMW X2. Based on BMW Operating System 9, it is packaged together with
the BMW Curved Display and BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, meaning
it has been carefully geared to operation using the touchscreen and
natural language. BMW Operating System 9 also paves the way for a
highly customisable selection of additional digital services. With BMW
ConnectedDrive Upgrades, customers can enjoy a free one-month trial of
selected functions, after which they are able to add them for a
specific period of time. The new BMW Digital Premium offering can also
be obtained from the BMW ConnectedDrive Store for the new BMW X2.

BMW Digital Premium means customers can enjoy in-car use of all the
apps available in their country, e.g. for music streaming, video
streaming, news or gaming, on a subscription basis. The optional
package also covers data usage for all digital services and the apps
available from the BMW ConnectedDrive Store, including music and video streaming.

The Augmented View function is available as an optional add-on for
the cloud-based BMW Maps navigation system. In addition to this, a
Personal eSIM designed for 5G mobile technology, the BMW Digital Key
Plus, the BMW ID functionality and standard smartphone integration
using both Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ are also all
available in the new BMW X2.

All of the stated model variants, equipment features, technical
data and fuel/electric power consumption and emissions figures
relate to the offering in the German market. Dimensions and
measurements refer to vehicles with basic configuration in Germany.

Singapore. BMW Asia and Performance Motors Limited
today launched the BMW X2 M Mesh Edition in Singapore. With this
special edition, the Sports Activity Coupé (SAC) is introducing an M
mesh kidney grille and exclusive new colour combinations, together
with an updated front end, to freshen up the premium compact segment
  once again.

Since its debut in 2018, the BMW X2 has successfully fused an
extrovert aura with sporting looks and modern lifestyle features, and
carved out a very distinctive place for itself in the BMW X model
family and beyond. With its standalone design and exclusive details –
such as the additional BMW logo on the C-pillar referencing classic
BMW coupés like the 2000 CS and 3.0 CSL – the BMW X2 has earned itself
a worldwide fan club. The BMW X2 marks the entry point into the BMW X
family of SACs and has a very distinct place in the line-up alongside
its larger siblings – the BMW X4 and BMW X6.

The BMW X2 has filled the role of confident urban rebel in impressive
style – and now, the athletic BMW X2 M Mesh Edition will use its
unique combination of individuality, driving pleasure, lifestyle
elements and functionality to appeal to even more active and outgoing
customers in the young and young-at-heart target group.

Eye-catching BMW M mesh kidney grille and new colour accents.

The BMW X2 M Mesh Edition builds stylistically on the M Sport X model
and gives the BMW X2 an even more exclusive and distinctive
appearance. The most prominent change is the BMW M mesh kidney grille
in High-gloss Black. Like the grille on the sporty BMW X2 M35i, it has
a pronounced three-dimensional mesh inspired by racing cars. The new
  signature colour Frozen Black-Brown metallic – a mocha-like shade –
can be found on the BMW X2 M Mesh Edition in the exclusive inserts in
the bumper trim, the prominent cladding on the side skirts and doors,
  and the wheel arch trim.

The special-edition model can also be specified at no extra cost with
bold new decals on the bonnet, the sides of the front bumper, and the
front and rear doors. In bold Orange, they provide the perfect
complement to the new Brooklyn Grey metallic paint finish exclusive to
the BMW X2 M Mesh Edition, as well as the Sapphire Black metallic
exterior shade. If one of the other paint shades – Alpine White,
Phytonic Blue metallic, or Sunset Orange metallic – is specified, the
decals come in Black. The colour of the decals is shared by the
inserts for the new 19-inch M aerodynamic wheels.

BMW Individual High-gloss Shadow Line with extended features comes as
standard. As well as the High-gloss Black window and exterior mirror
surrounds, the mirror base, mirror triangle, B-pillar trim and trim
surround on the C-pillars, this package also includes the surround for
the M mesh kidney grille, a ring around the BMW badge on the tailgate
and exhaust tailpipe finishers in Black Chrome.

LED headlights with integrated bad weather light shape the
    front end design.

The clear surfacing of the updated front end catches the eye and
teams up with the standard LED headlights to create a powerful
appearance. The circular front fog lights have been removed, bringing
a cleaner design to the front bumper. Their role is taken over by the
bad weather light integrated into the LED headlights. In adverse
weather conditions and poor visibility, judicious activation of the
cornering light provides optimal illumination of the road’s edge.
Another new feature is the projection of an X2 logo from the exterior
mirror on the driver’s side as part of the standard lighting package,
which also includes door handle lighting, ground lighting, exterior
mirror lighting, and door entry light.

  Sporty interior.

The visually expressive exterior of the BMW X2 M Mesh Edition extends
into the sporty interior. The exclusive covers for the M sport seats
with integral head restraints and the rear seat bench feature a blend
of Dakota leather in eye-catching Mocha and Anthracite-coloured Alcantara.

The most distinctive feature of the new model is the standard
bi-colour interior appointments. Contrast stitching in orange adds a
further flourish to the upholstery, instrument panel, and centre
console. This creates a colour connection with the decals at the front
end and sides of the body, as well as the accents in the exclusive M
aerodynamic wheels. The floor mats have edge binding and stitching in
Orange. The BMW X2 M Mesh Edition also brings special entry sills with
  “Edition” lettering.

M sport seats with integral head restraints and a selection of other
BMW M GmbH hallmarks heighten the car’s sporting impression. For
example, the standard-fitted M stainless steel pedals provide the
perfect complement to the M driver’s footrest. Also included as
standard are the M leather steering wheel and a car key with exclusive
M identifier. The interior trim strips are in Aluminium Hexagon
Anthracite, and the BMW Individual headliner in sporty Anthracite.
Exclusive LED fibre-optic light guides in the door trim add flourishes
  of colour.

The cabin showcases BMW’s hallmark driver focus with ergonomically
arranged controls. The driver’s raised seating position provides an
unbeatable view out and optimal command over the task of driving. The
modern black-panel technology in the instrument cluster and
information display combines form and function in typical BMW fashion.
One example here is the centre console with a combination of open
compartments and others that can be closed using roller lids. The boot
has a capacity of 470 litres, ensuring it is perfectly equipped for
leisure activities of all kinds – from shopping trips to cycling weekends.

  Pure driving fun.

The BMW X2 M Mesh Edition is exclusively available in the BMW X2
sDrive18i engine variant. Following updates to comply with the Euro 6d
emissions standard, its 1.5-litre three-cylinder unit generates 136 hp
and feeds peak torque of 220 Nm to the front wheels via a seven-speed
Steptronic dual-clutch transmission. The BMW X2 M Mesh Edition
accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.6 seconds and has a top speed of
205 km/h. The car’s driving responses can be adapted with a simple
push of the Driving Experience Control switch, which allows drivers to
choose between default COMFORT mode, efficiency-enhancing ECO PRO mode
and SPORT mode. The pre-programmed set-up available via SPORT mode
gives the car even more dynamic steering and powertrain responses. The
BMW X2 M Mesh Edition also has the M Sport suspension fitted as
standard, imbuing the SAC with dynamic roadholding characteristics.

Intelligent connectivity and three intuitive methods of operation.

The BMW X2 M Mesh Edition boasts intuitive operation and intelligent
connectivity, allowing the person at the wheel to focus their
attention entirely on the most important task at hand - driving. The
ID6 display and operating concept offers three different ways of
operating the individual vehicle and navigation functions; using the
iDrive Controller; the Control Display’s touchscreen functionality; or
a voice control system capable of understanding naturally formulated sentences.

The freestanding Control Display (which can also be easily operated
by the front passenger) measures 8.8 inches across in standard guise
and provides a quick overview of all key information – thanks to the
tiles shown in the display’s main menu. A hands-free facility with
Bluetooth interface and DAB digital radio reception are likewise
included as standard. The standard-fitted BMW Navigation system is
easy to operate, with its user interface mimicking a smartphone’s
intuitive touch control. Along with a 5.7-inch information display in
the instrument cluster, the driver has all the information he needs
within easy reach. A most advantageous feature is the Real Time
Traffic Information, of which up-to-the-minute traffic data helps the
driver with route planning and sends alerts on possible hold-ups due
  to congestion.

Intelligently connected with BMW ConnectedDrive Services.

The BMW X2 M Mesh Edition links up with the BMW ConnectedDrive
Services, enabling the driver to organise their daily routines as
efficiently as possible, both inside and outside the car. The BMW
Connected app and, in future, the My BMW app will keep the driver
informed of the vehicle’s status at all times, while they can also
access their BMW X2 M Mesh Edition remotely using Remote Services.
These functions make it possible to lock and unlock the vehicle via
the app, for example, display its current location or send the
destination address from a smartphone to the car’s navigation system
before even starting the journey. Free vehicle apps available via BMW
Online also provide up-to-date weather forecasts or the latest news.

The BMW X2 M Mesh Edition is now available for viewing at the
  Performance Motors Limited showroom.

Start signal for the first Sports Activity Coupe (SAC) with
plug-in hybrid drive in the compact segment. The new
BMW X2 xDrive25e (fuel consumption in the legal EU test cycle:
1.9 l/100 km; power consumption in the legal EU test cycle:
13.7 kWh/100 km; CO2 emissions in the legal EU test
cycle: 43 g/km*) offers a unique combination of extrovert design,
versatile sportiness and electrified drive technology. Market
launch in July 2020, price: from 47.250 Euro.

Ongoing commitment to the BMW Group's electrification strategy.
Already four BMW X models with plug-in hybrid drive on offer. The
model range of the BMW X2 represents the Power Of Choice approach
in the premium compact segment: Drive portfolio ranges from
efficient three-cylinder gasoline and modern four-cylinder diesel
engines, new plug-in hybrid systems to the BMW X2 M35i with a peak
output of 225 kW/306 hp (combined fuel consumption:
      7.1 – 6.8 l/100 km; combined CO2 emissions: 163 – 154 g/km*).

The new BMW X2 xDrive25e features the fourth and latest
generation of BMW eDrive technology developed for the plug-in
hybrid models. An electric motor generating an output of
      70 kW/95 hp and a high-voltage battery with a gross energy content
of 10.0 kWh enable an all-electric range of up to 57 kilometres in
      the legal EU test cycle.

Together, the 3-cylinder combustion engine, which delivers
torque to the front wheels, and the electric motor powering the
rear wheels produce a system output of 162 kW/220 hp and create a
hybrid all-wheel drive configuration. The new BMW X2 xDrive25e
sprints from a standing start to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds.

The new BMW X2 xDrive25e offers attractive new design and
equipment features which are also available for the conventionally
powered variants of the compact-sized SAC model. New front design
with taut surfaces and without fog lights, new exterior colour
      Phytonic Blue metallic.

Standard LED headlights now with integrated bad weather light.
Also new: Business package including real-time traffic information.

Extensive range of BMW Charging increases comfort when charging
the new BMW X2 xDrive25e enabling the driver to conduct the main
share of everyday travel locally emissions-free with the electric
motor alone. Optional BMW i Wallbox allows complete charging of
the fully discharged high-voltage battery in 3.2 hours. BMW
Charging card offers convenient access to the world's largest
      network of public charging stations.

The new BMW X2 xDrive25e enables electric driving in three
operating modes. In the AUTO eDRIVE standard setting, the
intelligent drive system ensures optimum interaction between the
two power units in all driving situations. The MAX eDrive mode can
be activated for maximum use of the electric drive up to a speed
of 135 km/h. The SAVE BATTERY mode enables the driver to save
battery capacity for later use when driving in purely electric mode.

Model-specific harmonisation of the body structure and chassis
for the new BMW X2 xDrive25e. Storage space is fully available in
primary use due to the positioning of the high-voltage battery
underneath the rear seat bench. Unlimited variability thanks to
folding backrests with a split of 40:20:40. Luggage compartment
capacity can be increased from 410 to 1,290 litres.

Standard equipment including 17-inch alloy wheels, two-zone
climate control, auxiliary air conditioning and hybrid-specific
readouts on the Control Display. The new BMW X2 xDrive25e can be
ordered in Advantage, Advantage Plus, M Sport and M Sport X trims
and virtually all options of the conventionally powered BMW X2 are
available for the plug-in hybrid model.

All figures relating to driving performance, fuel consumption,
    emissions and range are provisional.

* Fuel consumption, CO2 emissions, power consumption
and range have been calculated based on the new WLTP test cycle and
adapted to NEDC for comparison purposes, dependent on the tyre
format selected. In these vehicles, different figures than those
published here, may apply for the assessment of taxes and other
vehicle-related duties which are (also) based on CO2 emissions.

Press Contact: Amanda Poh
Tel: +65-6838-9629
E-mail: amanda.poh@bmwasia.com

Press Kit,F39,X2,X2 xDrive25e,Product,BMW

Singapore. The BMW X2 is coming to Singapore and

The first time the public will be able to feast their eyes on the
First-ever BMW X2 will be on Saturday, 24 March at the Spartan Sprint

Grand Prize is an exclusive BMW X2 Driving Experience for 2 in Germany.

The first-ever BMW X2 now available in Singapore.

A new breed of car takes to the stage.

Singapore. BMW Asia and Performance Motors today
launched the first-ever BMW X2, a car that is more than just a new BMW
X model. With its unmistakable design and sporty, urban genes, it
makes a confident impression both in its class and within the BMW X
  model family.

The Sports Activity Coupe goes above and beyond any rival past or
present in bringing joy and driving pleasure to the segment. Its
inimitable character appeals most strongly to young, extrovert and
active people who attach great value to individuality, genuine fun at
the wheel and lifestyle matters, without wanting to leave themselves
  short on functionality.

The digital services from BMW ConnectedDrive and BMW ConnectedDrive
Services – both of which are now available in freshly updated form –
add further intensity to the overall first-ever BMW X2 experience.

  DESIGN.

  The cool X.

The bold, uncompromising nature of the first-ever BMW X2 is evident
at first sight. This vehicle stands out from the crowd in any setting.
Even next to its bigger brothers, the BMW X4 and X6, the first-ever
BMW X2 makes a wholly distinctive impression. The main contributing
factor here is the car’s exterior design, which essentially combines
the fast-moving body language and low-slung proportions of a coupe
with the robust construction of a BMW X model.

  Eloquent looks, dynamic proportions.

Above all, it is the first-ever BMW X2’s proportions which create its
expressive, dynamic demeanour. It is shorter and more than seven
centimetres lower than the BMW X1 yet has the same wheelbase.
Featuring short overhangs, it also has a stretched, coupe-style
  roofline and slim window graphic.

A distinctive character that departs from the BMW script.

Many of the design details emphasise the first-ever BMW X2’s
standalone nature while simultaneously and unequivocally signalling
its membership of the X family. The time-honoured BMW kidney grille is
just one example, turning the familiar trapezoidal shape on its head
and instead widening from top to bottom. This is the first time this
design detail has seen the light of day on a modern BMW. Another
striking detail more typical of a BMW coupe is the placement of the
brand logo on the C-pillars. This is another element that underscores
the sporting aspirations of the first-ever BMW X2.

  EXTERIOR DESIGN HIGHLIGHTS: FRONT END.

  BMW kidney grille.

The kidney grille has always been an identifying feature of a BMW. On
the first-ever BMW X2, however, its outline is wider at its base than
at its top. The first-ever BMW X2 is the first modern BMW to feature
this design cue, and it gives the new car a broader, even more
distinctive and even sportier appearance. Below the grille, the
hexagonal surface treatment in the bumper further reinforces this
impression. The kidney grille provides a visual expression of the
first-ever BMW X2’s classy appeal. The fronts to the grille bars in
High-gloss Black contrast with the grille’s chrome surround.

  Headlights.

The design of the first-ever BMW X2’s headlights reinforces its
striking, sporty looks. Familiar twin circular elements (including LED
daytime driving lights) combine with the foglamps to create the
characteristic six-eyed face of the X family and make the vehicle
instantly recognisable. Because the inner headlights are slightly
narrower than the outer ones, the first-ever BMW X2 assumes a tangible
air of concentration and dynamism. Moreover, shiny chrome surfaces add
a high-quality touch while a chrome bar at the outer edges enhances
  the impression of width.

Full-LED headlights come as standard on the first-ever BMW X2. The
bi-LED light for low beam and high beam is extremely bright and
effective at illuminating the road, while also accentuating the
first-ever BMW X2’s sporty looks particularly impressively. The
headlights display fine detailing, achieved in part through hexagonal
LED daytime driving light tubes and laser engraving.

  BMW roundel on the C-pillars.

The C-pillars host two characteristic BMW features: the hallmark BMW
Hofmeister kink and, for the first time on a BMW X model, the BMW
roundel. There is something special about the design of both these
items. As an integral element of the C-pillar, the Hofmeister kink on
the first-ever BMW X2 is slightly elongated and does not cross over
the door line. This boosts the sporty looks of this Sports Activity
Coupe. The BMW roundel on the C-pillars invokes a design cue much
admired on classic BMW coupes such as the 2000 CS and 3.0 CSL, and
ensures the car is instantly recognisable on the road.

  Roofline.

The roofline of the first-ever BMW X2 has an almost coupe-like
lightness, which gives the whole car the impression of surging forward
like an athlete. A key contributor here is the styling above the
familiar BMW swage line, where the body tapers in sharply towards the
glasshouse. These athletic shoulders generate a large number of light
surfaces in the upper section of the first-ever BMW X2 makes the
glasshouse appear lighter. The extremely slim window graphic teams up
with the M rear spoiler to inject extra dynamism into the car’s proportions.

  EXTERIOR DESIGN HIGHLIGHTS: REAR END.

  Rear lights.

The horizontal design lines of the first-ever BMW X2’s rear end
tighten the visual distance between the car and the road, emphasising
the car’s width and therefore its sporty character. These lines
continue into the high-set rear lights. The LED rear lights represent
a symbiosis of the T-shape lighting contour shared by other BMW X
models and the L shape familiar from BMW coupes. This iconographic
light signature includes a precise LED strip on the inside the rear
light units. The first-ever BMW X2 is therefore clearly recognisable,
  even in the dark.

  Rear bumper.

The first-ever BMW X2 has a broad, planted stance on the road,
especially when viewed from the rear. Creating this impression of
width are the horizontal design lines and distinctive rear bumper.

  Tailpipes.

One of the ways the first-ever BMW X2 expresses the inherent power of
its BMW TwinPower Turbo engines is through the design of the
tailpipes. All four-cylinder engine variants come with 90mm twin tailpipes.

  INTERIOR AND EQUIPMENT.

  Contemporary ambience with premium flair.

The interior of the first-ever BMW X2 blends signature BMW elements,
such as a pronounced driver focus and dynamic lines, with the
understated ruggedness of a BMW X model. The high-class quality of the
first-ever BMW X2 and its impressive level of equipment, are both
instantly apparent. The instrument panel has contrast stitching and
decorative stitching as standard, while the centre console features
materials including Sensatec with contrast stitching.

The first-ever BMW X2 deftly combines all of this with a generous
helping of everyday practicality. The boot has a capacity of 470
litres, meaning it can effortlessly handle leisure activities, from
shopping sprees to a skiing weekend or mountain-bike tour. This high
level of functionality manifests itself in the passenger compartment
too, thanks to features such as a door design featuring large pockets
  and stowage bins lower down.

  INTERIOR HIGHLIGHTS.

  Driver focus.

The cabin of the first-ever BMW X2 is focused on the driver, with the
design of features such as the instrument panel binnacle clearly
directed at the road ahead. All controls are ergonomically positioned
to allow the driver to assimilate their information with a single
glance and operate them with supreme ease. This all helps to transform
the driver’s seat into an exclusive driving environment where the
sportiness that the first-ever BMW X2 oozes through every inch of a
journey can be experienced with special intensity.

  All-round visibility.

The driver and passengers are seated in an elevated position in
typical BMW X-model fashion. This results in an excellent all-round
view and places the driver in complete control of the driving
situation. Both the driver and passengers seem to be looking down on
the instrument panel, which reinforces the impression of an optimum
view over the road – combined with flawless operability.

  Materials.

The first-ever BMW X2 makes quality something its owners can
experience. The softly foamed instrument panel is pleasant to the
touch, gains further visual appeal with contrast stitching and
decorative stitching. The choice of trim finishers, including the new
Aluminium Hexagon Anthracite variant, further underlines the
  high-quality credentials of the first-ever BMW X2.

  Controls.

All functional controls in the centre console are set in high-gloss
black fascias as standard, giving the interior a special touch of
  timeless elegance.

  Lighting package.

The lighting package allows drivers to set a stylish lighting mood
for the interior of their first-ever BMW X2 by choosing from the
colours Orange, Lilac, Mint, Bronze, Blue and White. The LED lighting
in the trim surfaces of the instrument panel and door panels forms a
continuous band that extends all the way around the cabin to the rear.
The way in which the monitor and control consoles seem to be almost
floating above and in front of the instrument panel is a particularly
stunning effect of the night-time look.

  Black panel technology.

The modern black panel technology included in every first-ever BMW X2
as standard is one of its standout features. Employed for both the
instrument cluster and the information display, it highlights the
vehicle’s high level of technical sophistication.

  Panoramic roof.

The panoramic roof found on the list of optional extras further adds
to the sense of spaciousness inside the first-ever BMW X2 and bathes
the passenger compartment in light. The front section of the panoramic
roof tilts and slides open, just like a conventional sunroof.

  DRIVING DYNAMICS.

Driving pleasure on all types of road.

First-ever BMW X2 drivers think differently, they break with
conventions and they lead the way. So the first-ever BMW X2 really is
  the perfect car for them.

The Sports Activity Coupe cuts a dashing figure on every journey, not
least thanks to its peerless BMW TwinPower Turbo engines and
sophisticated powertrain. These components team up with the car’s
refined chassis to endow it with class-beating handling qualities,
exceptional agility and superb feedback, thereby allowing the
first-ever BMW X2 to generate levels of driving pleasure unprecedented
  in this segment.

  Exhilarating sportiness on all roads.

The common denominator of all first-ever BMW X2 models is a further
improved chassis that transfers the immense agility and dynamism of
the BMW engines to the road, thus providing an excellent basis for a
thrilling driving experience. The car’s driving responses can be
adapted with a simple push of the Driving Experience Control switch,
which allows drivers to choose between default COMFORT mode,
efficiency-enhancing ECO PRO mode and SPORT mode. The pre-programmed
set-up available via SPORT mode gives the car even more dynamic
  steering and powertrain responses.

If the optional Adaptive Suspension (incl. 10 mm lower ride height)
is specified, the car’s suspension can be adjusted even more precisely
to individual tastes and requirements. Drivers can choose between two
settings – COMFORT or SPORT – using the Driving Experience Control
switch. The result is sporty suspension offering solid roadholding and
  reassuring comfort over any surface.

  Dual-clutch transmission.

First though, the newcomer will be launched with a choice of the
first-ever BMW X2 sDrive20i petrol model. It is equipped with the
sporty seven-speed Steptronic dual-clutch transmission, which stands
out with both its swift gear changes and highly efficient operation,
making it another factor in the low CO2 figure. The 192 hp 2.0-litre
four-cylinder unit delivers remarkable performance figures, too. The
sprint from 0 to 100 km/h is over in a rapid 7.7 seconds and top speed
  is 227 km/h.

  DIGITAL SERVICES.

The intelligently connected, clever way to travel.

As far as BMW is concerned, there is one thing that always comes
first in a connected vehicle: the task of driving. For this reason,
all of the BMW ConnectedDrive and BMW Connected elements in the
first-ever BMW X2 have once again been designed to assist, inform or
entertain the driver at the appropriate time using just the right services.

Intuitive interaction between driver and vehicle forms the basis for
top-class connectivity. The first-ever BMW X2 offers its driver three
different ways of interacting with their car, as the sixth generation
of the iDrive control concept now supplements the familiar iDrive
Controller and voice control with touchscreen operation for the
Control Display. The touchscreen can also be used comfortably by the
  front passenger.

  Intuitive usability and displays.

Standard specification for every first-ever BMW X2 includes a
6.5-inch Touch Control Display with navigation. This is can be
upgraded to the optional 8.8-inch Touch Control Display with
navigation. The display concept is designed to provide the driver with
a quick summary of the most important information at any particular
time by means of, for example, the tiles that appear in the display’s
  main menu.

For even greater safety and convenience in the first-ever BMW X2,
there is the option of the full-colour BMW Head-Up Display, which
projects all important driving information and navigation/assistance
system readouts onto the windscreen and therefore into the driver’s
field of view – in high resolution.

  Intelligently connected.

The integration of BMW Connected and BMW ConnectedDrive Services
focuses on the needs of the first-ever BMW X2 driver. These digital
services and comfort-enhancing functions enable first-ever BMW X2
drivers to organise their daily routines as efficiently as possible,
both inside and outside the car – and, in so doing, allow them more
  time to enjoy life.

BMW Connected+ provides a digital bridge between smartphones and the
car. It delivers the next level of in-car personalisation and
smartphone content integration on the Control Display of the
first-ever BMW X2. This makes display and operation in the vehicle
simpler than ever. One example of a new Connected+ service is Share
Live Trip Status, which makes the question “What’s your ETA” a thing
of the past; the driver can share their current location and time of
arrival with business partners, friends or family.

Driver assistance systems: drive with assurance, arrive
    relaxed.

Not only does the first-ever BMW X2 offer drivers a wide selection of
driver assistance systems, it also boasts highly advanced technologies.

The standard Park Distance Control and the rear-view camera, whose
images are transferred onto the Control Display, make precise and
comfortable manoeuvring that much easier. The likewise Parking
Assistant also helps the driver to find and make use of parallel
  parking spaces.

The camera-based assistance systems available for the first-ever BMW
X2 help to ensure greater assurance and safety in different driving
situations. The optional Driving Assistant includes Lane Departure
Warning, Speed Limit Info with No Passing Info display, High Beam
Assistant, Collision Warning and Pedestrian Warning with City Braking function.

In addition to these functions, the optional Driving Assistant Plus
line-up also features the Active Cruise Control system with Stop &
Go function – which maintains both a desired speed between 30 and 140
km/h entered by the driver and the safety distance to vehicles
travelling ahead – and the Traffic Jam Assistant. At speeds up to 60
km/h, this optional function takes over both proximity control and
lane-keeping tasks from the driver. The optional Traffic Jam Assistant
uses steering assistance to keep the car reliably in the middle of its
lane, but the driver needs to have at least one hand on the steering
wheel for the system to work.

  MODEL VARIANTS.

The first-ever BMW X2: powerful and agile.

The first-ever BMW X2 has an invigoratingly fresh feel to it. It
immediately stands out as a BMW X model, yet it has a highly
distinctive appearance, too. This is partly down to its different
proportions, the execution of many of its details, the placement of
the BMW roundel and the reinterpretation of a BMW design icon – the
kidney grille. Plus, the black strip of cladding encircling the body
produces the characteristically robust X model look, while lending
visual emphasis to the ground clearance.

  M Sport X

Not only does the launch of the first-ever BMW X2 add a new member to
the BMW X family, the new M Sport X model is also making its debut. On
the road, the first-ever BMW X2 has the poise of an athlete in peak
condition. This is even more so for the M Sport X model. The BMW X2 M
Sport X combines design elements from BMW M and the BMW X family.

The design of the first-ever BMW X2 M Sport X brings the vehicle’s
sporty X character to the fore. Taking its cue from the add-on parts,
decals and paint finishes in complementary colours familiar from rally
cars, prominent use is made of the colour Frozen Grey to produce an
overall picture of striking contrasts. This shade is used for features
such as the specific M Sport X elements, which are visible from
  virtually every angle.

Further standout features of the M Sport X model include the
extremely dynamic bumper styling and a twin arrangement of tailpipes
that are 90 mm in diameter. The first-ever BMW X2 M Sport X gets a
bespoke diffusor insert in the contrast colour Frozen Grey. The new
rear bumper and tailgate design sees the latter sitting flush with the
rear apron. And that gives the rear end a supremely harmonious feel.

The side skirts of the first-ever BMW X2 are among its signature
features and contribute in no small part to its rugged and assured
good looks. The first-ever BMW X2 M Sport X has specially designed
cladding inserts in Frozen Grey. When viewed from the side, this
lighter colour shade generates an impression of higher ground
clearance and ensures this model stands apart clearly from its stablemates.

The M Sport suspension fitted as standard on the first-ever BMW X2 M
Sport X is a particularly good match for this model and includes
tauter spring and damper tuning. With the M Sport suspension, the car
is also lowered by 10 mm for even sportier roadholding. The optional
Adaptive Suspension which uses dynamic dampers to variably adjust
damper response behaviour, further enhances the driving dynamics.

  FIRST-EVER BMW X2 M SPORT X EQUIPMENT OPTION HIGHLIGHTS.

  Exterior colours.

Eight exterior colours are available as an option, including the
Galvanic Gold metallic finish, against which the wraparound signature
shade Frozen Grey produces a stunning visual contrast. This gives
added impact to the character of the first-ever BMW X2 M Sport X.

  Wheels.

The first-ever BMW X2 has a poised on-road stance thanks to large
wheels and a striking wheel rim design. The 19-inch style 722 M wheels
fitted on the first-ever BMW X2 M Sport X as standard are exclusive to
this X2 model variant. The optionally available 20-inch wheels in
style 717 M really grab the attention – not just with their size, but
  their extravagant design, too.

  M Rear spoiler.

Available with the M Sport X model, the sportier M rear spoiler
provides a dynamic flourish to round off the first-ever BMW X2’s
roofline. As well as emphasising the car’s sportiness, it also
underscores the narrow look of the rear window area. Together with the
width-enhancing rear bumper, this creates an extremely powerful rear view.

  Upholstery.

With its Micro Hexagon fabric/Alcantara Anthracite combination with M
piping and contrast stitching in blue or yellow, the first-ever BMW X2
M Sport X accentuates the model’s superb quality and sporting
ambience. Numerous upholstery options are available, including the
newly available perforated Dakota leather in Magma Red, allow
first-ever BMW X2 drivers to customise the interior as they please.

  Trim finishers.

The new Aluminium Hexagon Anthracite trim finisher with an accent
strip in Pearl-effect Chrome can be specified for the first-ever BMW
X2 M Sport X. Its design mirrors the hexagonal structure that is also
a characteristic feature of the first-ever BMW X2’s exterior styling.
Five further trim finishers are optionally available and all include
an accent strip that matches the specific trim finisher, as well as
contour lighting in the door trim.

The first-ever BMW X2 is now available for viewing at the Performance
  Motors showroom.

The new BMW X2. Exciting looks, sparkling dynamics.

The attractive, exciting, extrovert new BMW X2 will celebrate its
market premiere in March 2018. With a design oozing individuality from
every pore and a sporty suspension set-up, the BMW X2 pushes back
boundaries, puts a firework under old habits and brings previously
uncharted levels of driving pleasure to this vehicle segment.

Highlights.

The new BMW X2 will celebrate its market premiere in March 2018.

The new BMW X2 appeals primarily to a young and young-at-heart,
urban and active target group who are keen to see their personal
character reflected on the road through an emotionally-engaging car.

The Sports Activity Coupe is a BMW with a standalone character.
Its head-turning design combines the discreet robustness of a BMW X
model with the athletic potency of a coupe.

As well as the standard BMW X2, customers can also choose from the
BMW X2 M Sport and M Sport X models. The latter brings together
design elements from BMW M and the BMW X family. Separate lines are
not available for the BMW X2.

A host of design details underscore the distinctive character of
the BMW X2. These include the BMW roundel on the C-pillars and the
styling of the kidney grille, whose outline is wider at its base
than at its top (for the first time on a modern BMW).

Available for the first time on a BMW are the exterior colour
shades Galvanic Gold metallic and Misano Blue metallic, plus
perforated Dakota leather in Magma Red and the Micro Hexagon fabric
Anthracite/Alcantara combination in Black with M piping and yellow
    contrast stitching.

Three engine/transmission variants are offered from launch: the
BMW X2 xDrive20i petrol model with 141 kW / 192 hp (fuel consumption
    combined: 5.9 – 5.5 l/100 km [47.9 – 51.4 mpg imp]; CO2 emissions
    combined: 134 – 126 g/km)*, plus the X2 xDrive20d diesel variant
    with 140 kW / 190 hp (fuel consumption combined: 4.8 – 4.6 l/100 km
    [58.9 – 61.4 mpg imp]; CO2 emissions combined: 126 – 121 g/km)* and
    X2 xDrive25d diesel with 170 kW / 231 hp (fuel consumption combined:
    5.3 – 5.1 l/100 km [53.3 – 55.4 mpg imp]; CO2 emissions combined:
139 – 133 g/km)*. Both diesel cars come as standard with xDrive
intelligent all-wheel drive and the eight-speed Steptronic
transmission. The petrol model is fitted with the sporty seven-speed
    Steptronic dual-clutch transmission.

Further attractive model variants will be added to the Sports
Activity Coupe line-up in early 2018 – in the shape of the
    three-cylinder X2 sDrive18i and the four-cylinder X2 xDrive20i, X2
sDrive18d and X2 xDrive18d. The outputs of the petrol models range
from 103 kW / 140 hp in the X2 sDrive18i (with manual gearbox, fuel
    consumption combined: 6.3 – 6.0 l/100 km [44.8 – 47.1 mpg imp], CO2
    emissions combined: 144 – 138 g/km**; with seven-speed Steptronic
    dual-clutch transmission, fuel consumption combined: 6.2 – 5.9 l/100
    km [45.6 – 47.9 mpg imp], CO2 emissions combined: 141 – 135 g/km**)
up to 141 kW /192 hp in the X2 xDrive20i (fuel consumption combined:
    6.2 – 6.1 l/100 km [45.6 – 46.3 mpg imp]; CO2 emissions combined:
    142 – 138 g/km**). The diesel X2 sDrive18d (with manual gearbox,
    fuel consumption combined: 4.6 – 4.5 l/100 km [61.4 – 62.8 mpg imp],
    CO2 emissions combined: 121 – 119 g/km**; with eight-speed
    Steptronic transmission, fuel consumption combined: 4.7 – 4.5 l/100
    km [60.1 – 62.8 mpg imp], CO2 emissions combined: 124 – 118 g/km**)
    and X2 xDrive18d (fuel consumption combined: 5.2 – 4.8 l/100 km
    [54.3 – 58.9 mpg imp], CO2 emissions combined: 137 – 128 g/km**)
    have 110 kW / 150 hp.

The options list for the BMW X2 includes the latest generation of
BMW ConnectedDrive and the most recent update of the BMW Connected
App. Optional functions such as Apple CarPlay and an array of driver
assistance systems serve up a connected driving experience. Among
the optional equipment features offered exclusively by the BMW X2 in
this segment is the full-colour BMW Head-Up Display.

** Fuel consumption figures are provisional, based on the EU test
cycle and may vary depending on the tyre format specified.

The fuel consumption and CO2 emissions figures shown were determined
according to the European Regulation (EC) 715/2007 in the version
applicable at the time of type approval. The figures refer to a
vehicle with basic configuration in Germany and the range shown
considers the different size of the selected wheels and tires. The
values of the vehicles labelled with (**) are already based on the new
WLTP regulation and are translated back into NEDC-equivalent values in
order to ensure the comparison between the vehicles. With respect to
these vehicles, for vehicle-related taxes or other duties based (at
least inter alia) on CO2 emissions, the CO2 values may differ to the
values stated here (depending on national legislation).

The CO2 efficiency specifications are determined according to
Directive 1999/94/EC and the Pkw-EnVKV, and based (for classification)
on the fuel consumption and CO2 values as per the NEDC cycle.

Further information on official fuel consumption figures and specific
CO2 emission values of new passenger cars is included in the following
guideline: “Leitfaden über Kraftstoffverbrauch, die CO2-Emissionen und
den Stromverbrauch neuer Personenkraftwagen” (Guideline for fuel
consumption, CO2 emissions and electric power consumption of new
passenger cars), which can be obtained free of charge from all
  dealerships and at https://www.dat.de/en/offers/publications/guideline-for-fuel-cons
