Singapore. BMW Asia today announced the availability
of the all-new BMW M5 Touring, a car that combines standout dynamics
on the road and track with variable-use interior space for everyday
jobs, leisure activities and trips away. This is the third current BMW
M car to be powered by an M HYBRID drive system, in which a
high-revving V8 engine is boosted by an electric motor with extremely
rapid power delivery. Together, the engine and motor generate maximum
output of 727 hp and peak torque of 1,000 Nm. BMW M GmbH is expanding
its offering in the high-performance segment and at the same time
pushing ahead with the electrification of its model range.

“A BMW M car is an emotional purchase and an extension of the
driver’s personality and lifestyle,” said Lars Nielsen, Managing
Director, BMW Group Asia. “The BMW M5 Touring offers an adrenaline
rush like no other and has the performance, looks and heritage that
discerning enthusiasts appreciate. Throw in that extra-large luggage
compartment and it becomes an impressively practical sports car. Take
it from me – this road-legal track machine is razor sharp when
cornering and making a first impression!”

The vehicle and drive concept of the all-new BMW M5 Touring lay on an
exceptionally multifaceted driving experience, headlined by
unrestricted everyday usability and long-distance capability,
captivating performance and the ability to drive on electric power
alone in urban areas and beyond. Power transfer via the eight-speed M
Steptronic transmission, the M xDrive all-wheel-drive system, the
Active M Differential and the M-specific chassis technology are all
tuned precisely to the performance characteristics of the M HYBRID
drive system. The all-new BMW M5 Touring accelerates from 0 to 100
km/h in 3.6 seconds and will put smiles on faces with its outstanding
elasticity and unparalleled precision in highly dynamic driving
situations. The car is produced at BMW Group Plant Dingolfing.

Exterior design: athletic forms, typical Touring proportions.

With a fresh interpretation of the signature M design for
high-performance cars, the all-new BMW M5 Touring clearly expresses
its racing-car-inspired character. A particularly high proportion of
surfaces painted in body colour and a Black solid finish for the roof
create a puristic appearance to go with the familiar proportions of a
Touring model. A model-specific side frame design incorporating
prominently flared wheel arches teams up with muscular shoulders and a
long roofline to headline the athletic appearance of the all-new BMW
M5 Touring – and set it apart emphatically from the all-new BMW 5
Series Touring.

The sculptural front end is shaped by large air intakes and a newly
designed BMW M kidney grille, which is showcased as standard by BMW
Iconic Glow contour lighting. At the opposite end of the car, slim
rear lights extending into the car’s flanks, vertical reflectors
positioned to the outer edges of the rear end and a two-section split
diffuser with two pairs of exhaust tailpipes integrated to the left
and right emphasise the width and powerful stature of the all-new BMW
M5 Touring.

M HYBRID drive system combines a free-revving V8 engine with a
powerful electric motor.

The M HYBRID drive system in the all-new BMW M5 Touring brings
together a 4.4-litre V8 engine and an electric motor integrated into
the eight-speed M Steptronic transmission. As well as the latest
version of M TwinPower Turbo technology, the combustion engine also
benefits from a cross-bank exhaust manifold and optimised oil
separation. It develops maximum output of 585 hp and peak torque of
750 Nm.

The electric motor is from the latest, fifth generation of BMW eDrive
technology and produces maximum output of 145 kW. Its nominal torque
of 280 Nm increases to effective torque at the transmission input of
450 Nm with the help of the pre-gearing stage patented by BMW. The
power generated by the electric motor – on tap the moment the driver
pulls away – and the intelligently controlled interplay between the
engine and motor ensure delay-free response and linear power delivery
into the upper reaches of the load and rev ranges. The top speed of
250 km/h has been raised to 305 km/h with the standard M Driver’s Package.

The sports exhaust system with electrically controlled flaps conjures
up an emotionally engaging drive system sound. Depending on the
configuration and operating mode selected, the power delivery of the
electric motor will also gain an acoustic accompaniment courtesy of
BMW IconicSounds Electric. Driving on electric power alone at speeds
of up to 140 km/h is possible. The high-voltage battery of the all-new
BMW M5 Touring provides 18.6 kWh of usable energy. This makes an
electric range of up to 67 kilometres achievable in the WLTP test
cycle. The Combined Charging Unit supports AC charging at up to 11 kW.

The M xDrive all-wheel-drive system, like the electronically
controlled Active M Differential at the rear axle, is specially tuned
to the performance characteristics of the M HYBRID drive system.
Beyond the default 4WD setting, drivers can also use the M Setup menu
to select 4WD Sport mode, in which the M xDrive system’s rear-biased
setup is particularly pronounced. And choosing 2WD mode with the DSC
(Dynamic Stability Control) system switched off opens the door for
skilled drivers to enjoy a performance experience of exceptional purity.

M-specific chassis technology delivers compelling dynamics.

The all-new BMW M5 Touring raises the bar in its segment with its
standout dynamic qualities. Playing a key role here – alongside the
drive system, long wheelbase and wide tracks – is improved body
rigidity. As well as a tower-to-bulkhead stiffening plate,
tower-to-front-end struts and other bracing elements in the front-end
structure, the rear end features model-specific underfloor struts,
including a cross-bar, a stiffening plate and other bracing elements
in the load compartment.

The sophisticated chassis technology of the all-new BMW M5 Touring
comprises a double-wishbone front axle and a five-link rear axle with
model-specific kinematics and elastokinematics. Standard specification
also includes adaptive M suspension with electronically controlled
dampers and Integral Active Steering. The M-specific tuning,
the individually selectable settings and the ability to adjust the
dampers at each wheel individually optimise the body’s connection to
the road and maximise the car’s spread of talents between dynamic
potency and ride comfort. Traction, agility and directional stability
all benefit from near-actuator wheel slip limitation and the
networking of all control systems within the integrated transverse
dynamics management setup.

The standard-fitted M Compound brakes provide the requisite stopping
power. Like the optional M Carbon ceramic brakes, they combine with an
integrated braking system that offers two pedal feel and response
settings. The M light-alloy wheels (front: 20 inches; rear: 21 inches)
are fitted as standard with high-performance tyres.

Wide range of assistance systems for automated driving and parking.

The all-new BMW M5 Touring comes as standard with a wealth of driver
assistance systems, whose functionality is further enhanced by the
integrated braking system and networked transverse dynamics
management. Driving Assistant Professional comes as standard, which
includes front collision warning, Lane Departure Warning including
lane return with steering assistance, the Evasion Assistant, the
Attentiveness Assistant and the Speed Limit Info system.

Customers also get Steering and Lane Control Assistant, Active Cruise
Control, automatic Speed Limit Assist, traffic light detection and
Active Navigation. The likewise standard Parking Assistant
Professional allows parking and manoeuvring to be controlled by
smartphone from outside the car.

Configurable driving experience for everyday driving and track sessions.

The M-specific control panel on the centre console offers additional
options for customising the driving experience. For example, the Setup
button enables direct access to the settings for the drive system,
Drivelogic function, chassis, steering, braking system, M xDrive
and brake energy recuperation intensity. Drivers can use the M buttons
on the steering wheel to call up two configurations they have
previously programmed for the vehicle setup.

M Dynamic Mode – for adjusting the stability control – can also be
activated at the touch of a button. DSC can also be fully switched
off. Drivers can use the M Mode button to adjust the configuration of
the displays and driver assistance systems. In SPORT mode, the
interventions from the assistance systems and the content shown on the
information display and BMW Head-Up Display are restricted to just the
essential functions required for sporty driving. If M Drive
Professional is specified, TRACK mode is also on hand. And this option
also includes the M Laptimer, as well as the Boost Control function
for when the driver wants to summon a particularly dynamic injection
of speed.

The M HYBRID button can be used to set the drive system’s operating
mode as desired. While the basic setting Hybrid controls the interplay
between the engine and motor, Electric mode provides all-electric
driving. The eControl mode enables effective brake energy recuperation
or maintains the battery charge at a constant level. In addition,
Dynamic and Dynamic Plus modes are also available as part of M Drive
Professional, priming the cooling system and drive system to keep
performance at a constantly high level or generate short bursts of
maximum power on country roads or race tracks.

Progressive sports-car cockpit with M-specific displays.

The driver-focused cockpit of the all-new BMW M5 Touring exudes an
authentic racing-car aura with its newly designed M leather steering
wheel, M multifunction seats, M-specific readouts on the BMW Curved
Display and the standard BMW Head-Up Display. Helping to create an
exclusive, premium ambience on board are Merino leather trim, the BMW
Interaction Bar, four-zone automatic climate control, M-specific
interior lighting with Welcome Animation and a Bowers & Wilkins
Surround Sound System. Among the features also included as standard
are, steering wheel heating, active seat ventilation and a panoramic
glass sunroof. Customers will also be able to give their cars an
additional touch of luxury in the form of BMW Individual Merino
leather trim.

The load capacity of the all-new BMW M5 Touring can be expanded from
500 to a maximum of 1,630 litres. The standard-fitted Comfort Access
and automatic tailgate operation enable easy loading and unloading.

The latest version of BMW iDrive, based on BMW Operating System 8.5,
is designed squarely for operating vehicle functions using a
touchscreen and natural language. Standard specification also includes
BMW Live Cockpit Professional, which comes with the BMW Maps
navigation system and Augmented View function. A 5G-compatible antenna
system ensures optimal connectivity for using digital services such as

Singapore. BMW Asia today announced the availability
of the all-new BMW M5 Sedan with M xDrive in Singapore. With 40 years
of history under its belt, the legendary high-performance sedan enters
its seventh model generation. And the executive model from BMW M GmbH
now has an electrified drive system for the first time. The
combination of a high-revving V8 engine with M TwinPower Turbo
technology and an electric motor, plus power transfer courtesy of an
eight-speed M Steptronic transmission and M xDrive all-wheel drive,
enables acceleration of 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds.

“The all-new BMW M5 Sedan with M xDrive represents an exciting
milestone for the BMW M brand in Singapore,” said Lars Nielsen,
Managing Director, BMW Group Asia. “The inclusion of an electrified
drive system for the first time combines the exceptional power and
dynamic handling synonymous with the BMW M5, with the efficiency and
performance of our BMW eDrive technology. It delivers a truly
remarkable driving experience and pushes the boundaries of innovation
like never before.”

The all-new BMW M5 Sedan with M xDrive was officially launched at BMW
JOY CITY in Singapore, an experiential journey for guests to witness
up close the latest models in the BMW portfolio, from electric
vehicles and high-performance M models to luxury drives that epitomise excellence.

The imposing power delivery and emotionally engaging performance
experience served up by the all-new BMW M5 Sedan with M xDrive are
accompanied by a new interpretation of the high-performance car design
for which M is renowned. Prominent wheel arch and side skirt
extensions, the sculptural front apron and model-specific surfacing
around the C-pillar – including an embossed “M5” logo for the
Hofmeister kink – give the car an athletic appearance that helps to
differentiate it more clearly than ever from the BMW 5 Series Sedan.
At the same time, an unusually high proportion of surfaces painted in
body colour create a puristic appearance with stylish references to
its superior dynamic talents.

As such, the exterior design – like the ambience of the luxurious
interior, which is enhanced with M-specific features – accentuates the
multilayered character of the all-new BMW M5 Sedan with M xDrive. Its
sense of poise and assurance is fuelled by vast reserves of power that
can be summoned at any time. Kept discreetly in reserve during
relaxed, electric-only cruises, this performance comes vividly to the
fore as the all-new BMW M5 Sedan with M xDrive reveals the “sporty
sedan” side to its personality over longer distances – and is
unleashed in full during sessions on the track.

The M HYBRID system, plus power transmission and chassis technology
tuned to its specific performance characteristics, give the all-new
BMW M5 Sedan with M xDrive transverse and longitudinal dynamics
unparalleled in this market segment. Together with its similarly
outstanding elasticity, the all-new BMW M5 Sedan with M xDrive takes M
performance into a new dimension.

M HYBRID drive system in the all-new BMW M5 Sedan with M
xDrive: intoxicating performance, impressive electric range.

The M HYBRID drive system in the all-new BMW M5 Sedan with M xDrive
brings a 4.4-litre V8 engine with classical high-revving character
together with an electric motor, whose performance characteristics are
tuned specifically for the all-new BMW M5 Sedan with M xDrive and
which is integrated into the eight-speed M Steptronic transmission.
The combustion engine benefits from cutting-edge M TwinPower Turbo
technology, a cross-bank exhaust manifold and optimised oil
separation. It develops maximum output of 430 kW/585 hp and peak
torque of 750 Nm. The maximum output of the electric motor is 145
kW/197 hp. It has nominal torque of 280 Nm, but a pre-gearing stage
allows effective torque at the transmission input to be increased to
450 Nm.

The combination of combustion engine and electric motor adheres to
the same principle as the drive system in the BMW M Hybrid V8
endurance racing machine. The ability of the electric motor to
generate its power instantly and the intelligently controlled
interplay of the combustion engine and motor ensure the M HYBRID
system responds without delay to every movement of the accelerator.
The linear power delivery typical of BMW M models is found here in
particularly compelling form. The eight-cylinder engine can spin to a
maximum 7,200 rpm as the all-new BMW M5 Sedan with M xDrive treats its
driver to the sensation of relentless power development into the upper
reaches of the load and speed ranges. Top speed limiter has been
raised from 250km/h to 305 km/h thanks to the standard M Driver’s Package.

The sports exhaust system of the all-new BMW M5 Sedan with M xDrive
underscores the performance experience with a multi-faceted and
emotionally enthralling engine note. It features electrically
controlled, continuously adjustable flaps and the two pairs of dual
tailpipes familiar from other M models, each with 100-millimetre trims
in Black Chrome.

Providing an acoustic accompaniment to the power delivery of the
electric motor is BMW IconicSounds Electric. This M-specific electric
drive sound provides authentic responses to movements of the
accelerator when the car is operating in all-electric mode. With the
relevant drive system configuration, it also generates an engaging
track to highlight the arrival of extra electric power on top of the
output from the V8 engine.

In all-electric operating mode, the all-new BMW M5 Sedan with M
xDrive can hit speeds of up to 140 km/h. The high-voltage battery
located low in the car’s underbody has 18.6 kWh of usable energy,
enabling an electric range of up to 69 kilometres in the WLTP cycle.
The Combined Charging Unit of the all-new BMW M5 Sedan with M xDrive
allows AC charging at up to 7.4 kW.

The power generated by the combustion engine and electric motor is
channelled to the road via the all-wheel-drive system M xDrive, whose
rear-biased setup is particularly pronounced in 4WD Sport mode.
However, the driver can also select 2WD mode. This sends drive
exclusively to the rear wheels with the DSC (Dynamic Stability
Control) system switched off, which will appeal to experienced drivers
who prefer a performance experience of the pure-bred variety. This
further developed iteration of M xDrive – like the electronically
controlled Active M Differential at the rear axle – is tailored
specially to the performance characteristics of the M HYBRID drive system.

Sophisticated chassis technology with M-specific tuning.

The chassis design of the all-new BMW M5 Sedan with M xDrive
comprises a double-wishbone front axle and a five-link rear axle with
bespoke kinematics and elastokinematics, plus a host of other
specially tuned components. The electrically assisted rack-and-pinion
steering with M Servotronic and variable steering ratio has a rigid
connection to the front axle subframe to ensure optimal feedback from
the road and a high degree of directional accuracy. In conjunction
with the wide tracks and the excellent torsional rigidity of the body
and chassis mountings, this combination produces the handling
attributes for which BMW M models are renowned, shaped by agility,
precision, and the linear build-up of lateral forces when the driver
is pushing on.

Also fitted as standard are adaptive M suspension with electronically
controlled dampers and Integral Active Steering, which steers the rear
wheels by up to 1.5 degrees. M-specific tuning, the individually
selectable settings and the ability to adjust the dampers at each
wheel individually optimise the body’s connection to the road and
maximise the car’s spread of talents – from everyday driving comfort
to race-ready dynamic prowess. Turning the rear wheels as required
improves directional stability at high speed, as well as agility and
comfort when manoeuvring.

Traction, agility and directional stability all benefit from
near-actuator wheel slip limitation and the networking of all control
systems within the integrated transverse dynamics management setup.
The standard M Compound brakes combines with an integrated braking
system that presents the driver with two pedal feel settings. M
light-alloy wheels (20-inch at the front axle, 21-inch at the rear)
also comes as standard.

Assistance systems for assured and comfortable driving.

A wide selection of standard systems for automated driving and
parking takes assurance and comfort in day-to-day driving to another
new level. Standard specification for the all-new BMW M5 Sedan with M
xDrive brings features such as front collision warning, Lane Departure
Warning including lane return with steering assistance, the Evasion
Assistant, the Attentiveness Assistant and the Speed Limit Info
system. The standard Driving Assistant Professional also adds Active
Cruise Control with Stop & Go function together with tech
including the Steering and Lane Control Assistant, traffic light
detection, automatic Speed Limit Assist and Active Navigation.

The all-new BMW M5 Sedan with M xDrive is equipped as standard with
the Parking Assistant Professional which allows automated parking and
manoeuvring over a distance of up to 200 metres to be controlled from
inside the car or by smartphone from outside the car.

Fresh scope for adjusting the driving experience to personal taste.

The control panel on the centre console of the all-new BMW M5 Sedan
with M xDrive houses a model-specific composition of buttons which can
be used to tailor the driving experience to individual preferences in
a variety of ways. The Setup button provides direct access to the
configuration of the drive system, Drivelogic, chassis, steering,
braking system, and M xDrive, as well as the intensity of brake energy
recuperation. Two overall vehicle setups can be stored and selected
using the M buttons on the steering wheel. The Launch Control function
is available in all the M Setup menu settings with the exception of
the M xDrive system’s 2WD mode.

Pushing the DSC button activates M Dynamic Mode, which raises the DSC
intervention thresholds when it comes to applying brake inputs and
reducing engine output. It is also possible to switch DSC off
completely. Another button allows the driver to select M Mode. When
they switch from the default ROAD setting to SPORT, interventions from
the driver assistance systems are restricted to just the essential
functions required for sporty driving, as is the content shown in the
information display. With the standard M Drive Professional, they can
also make use of TRACK mode. Other features of M Drive Professional
include the M Laptimer and the Boost Control function, which maximises
longitudinal dynamics when executing mid-range sprints and overtaking manoeuvres.

The operating mode of the M HYBRID system can also be adjusted as
desired. The new M Hybrid button allows the driver to choose between
HYBRID mode – for intelligently controlled interplay between the
combustion engine and electric motor to maximise either efficiency or
performance, depending on the driving situation – and the ELECTRIC
setting, in which the combustion engine is only brought into play by
accelerator kickdown or using the gearshift paddles. eCONTROL mode is
used for effective brake energy recuperation and maintaining battery
charge at a constant level. And M Drive Professional adds DYNAMIC and
DYNAMIC PLUS modes to the mix, which prime the drive system and
cooling system to keep output at a constantly high level or generate
short bursts of maximum output during committed track driving.

Progressive sports car cockpit, M-specific displays on the BMW
Curved Display, exclusive ambience.

As well as the M-specific control panel on the centre console, the
progressive sports car cockpit of the all-new BMW M5 Sedan with M
xDrive also contains a newly designed, flat-bottomed M leather
steering wheel with illuminated M buttons, M multifunction seats with
a wide range of electric adjustment and the BMW Curved Display which,

With 40 years of history under its belt, the legendary high-performance sedan is entering its seventh model generation. And the executive model from BMW M GmbH now has an electrified drive system for the first time. A model-specific version of the M HYBRID system gives the new BMW M5 (energy consumption, weighted, combined: 1,7 – 1,6 l/100 km [166.2 – 176.6 mpg imp] and 25,5 – 25,0 kWh/100 km according to WLTP; CO2 emissions, weighted, combined: 39 – 37 g/km according to WLTP; fuel consumption with discharged battery: 10,3 – 10,2 l/100 km [27.4 – 27.7 mpg imp] according to WLTP; CO2 classes: weighted, combined B, with discharged battery G) maximum output of 535 kW/727 hp and peak system torque of 1,000 Nm (737 lb-ft). The combination of a high-revving V8 engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology and an electric motor, plus power transfer courtesy of an eight-speed M Steptronic transmission and M xDrive all-wheel drive, enables acceleration of 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.5 seconds.</pp:summary>

The imposing power delivery and emotionally engaging performance
experience served up by the new BMW M5 are accompanied by a new
interpretation of the high-performance car design for which M is
renowned. Prominent wheel arch and side skirt extensions, the
sculptural front apron and model-specific surfacing around the
C-pillar – including an embossed “M5” logo for the Hofmeister kink –
give the car an athletic appearance that helps to differentiate it
more clearly than ever from the BMW 5 Series Sedan. At the same time,
an unusually high proportion of surfaces painted in body colour create
a puristic appearance with stylish references to its superior dynamic talents.

As such, the exterior design – like the ambience of the luxurious
interior, which is enhanced with M-specific features – accentuates the
multi-layered character of the new BMW M5. Its sense of poise and
assurance is fuelled by vast reserves of power that can be summoned at
any time. Kept discreetly in reserve during relaxed, electric-only
cruises, this performance comes vividly to the fore as the BMW M5
reveals the “sporty sedan” side to its personality over longer
distances – and is unleashed in full during sessions on the track.

The M HYBRID system, plus power transmission and chassis technology
tuned to its specific performance characteristics, give the new BMW M5
transverse and longitudinal dynamics unparalleled in this market
segment. Together with its similarly outstanding elasticity, the new
BMW M5 takes M performance into a new dimension.

The world premiere of the new BMW M5 will take place at the Goodwood
Festival of Speed in England in July 2024, with production at BMW
Group Plant Dingolfing beginning the same month. The worldwide market
launch of the new BMW M5 will start in November 2024 and be
accompanied by the introduction of the new BMW M5 Touring at the same
time. The most important sales regions for the high-performance sedan
are North America and Europe. The USA is the single biggest individual
market by some distance, followed by Great Britain, Germany, South
Korea, China, Japan and Canada.

M HYBRID drive system in the new BMW M5: intoxicating
performance, impressive electric range.

The M HYBRID drive system in the new BMW M5 brings a 4.4-litre
V8 engine with classical high-revving character together with an
electric motor, whose performance characteristics are tuned
specifically for the BMW M5 and which is integrated into the
eight-speed M Steptronic transmission. The combustion engine benefits
from cutting-edge M TwinPower Turbo technology, a cross-bank exhaust
manifold and optimised oil separation. It develops maximum output of
430 kW/585 hp and peak torque of 750 Nm (553 lb-ft). The maximum
output of the electric motor is 145 kW/197 hp. It has nominal torque
of 280 Nm (206 lb-ft), but a pre-gearing stage allows effective torque
at the transmission input to be increased to 450 Nm (332 lb-ft).

The eight-cylinder engine can spin to a
maximum 7,200 rpm as the new BMW M5 treats its driver to the sensation
of relentless power development into the upper reaches of the load and
speed ranges. Top speed is limited to 250 km/h (155 mph) as standard,
but the limiter can be raised to 305 km/h (189 mph) if the optional
M Driver’s Package is specified.

The sports exhaust system of the new BMW M5 underscores the
performance experience with a multi-faceted and emotionally
enthralling engine note. It features electrically controlled,
continuously adjustable flaps and the two pairs of dual tailpipes
familiar from other M models, each with 100-millimetre trims in Black Chrome.

In all-electric operating mode, the new BMW M5 can hit speeds of up
to 140 km/h (87 mph). The high-voltage battery located low in the
car’s underbody has 18.6 kWh of usable energy, enabling an electric
range of 67 – 69 kilometres (42 – 43 miles) in the WLTP cycle, which
is unmatched by any rival. The Combined Charging Unit of the new
BMW M5 allows AC charging at up to 7.4 kW.

The chassis design of the new BMW M5 comprises a double-wishbone
front axle and a five-link rear axle with bespoke kinematics and
elastokinematics, plus a host of other specially tuned components. The
electrically assisted rack-and-pinion steering with M Servotronic and
variable steering ratio has a rigid connection to the front axle
subframe to ensure optimal feedback from the road and a high degree of
directional accuracy. In conjunction with the wide tracks and the
excellent torsional rigidity of the body and chassis mountings, this
combination produces the handling attributes for which BMW M models
are renowned, shaped by agility, precision and the linear build-up of
lateral forces when the driver is pushing on.

Both the standard M Compound brakes and optional M Carbon ceramic
brakes combine with an integrated braking system that presents the
driver with two pedal feel settings. M light-alloy wheels (20-inch at
the front axle,
21-inch at the rear) come as standard and are
fitted with high-performance tyres.

Assistance systems for assured and comfortable driving.

A much wider selection of standard and optional systems for automated
driving and parking than was offered for the predecessor model takes
assurance and comfort in day-to-day driving to another new level.
Standard specification for the new BMW M5 brings features such as
front collision warning, Lane Departure Warning including lane return
with steering assistance, the Evasion Assistant, the Attentiveness
Assistant and the Speed Limit Info system. The optional Driving
Assistant Professional adds Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go
function together with tech including the Steering and Lane Control
Assistant, traffic light detection, automatic Speed Limit Assist and
Active Navigation.

The new BMW M5 is equipped as standard with the Parking Assistant
including Reversing Assistant. Meanwhile, the optional Parking
Assistant Professional allows automated parking and manoeuvring over a
distance of up to 200 metres to be controlled from inside the car or
by smartphone from outside the car.

Fresh scope for adjusting the driving experience to personal taste.

The control panel on the centre console of the new BMW M5 houses a
model-specific composition of buttons which can be used to tailor the
driving experience to individual preferences in a variety of ways. The
Setup button provides direct access to the configuration of the drive
system, Drivelogic, chassis, steering, braking system and M xDrive, as
well as the intensity of brake energy recuperation. Two overall
vehicle setups can be stored and selected using the M buttons on the
steering wheel. The Launch Control function is available in all the
M Setup menu settings with the exception of the M xDrive system’s 2WD mode.

If the customer specifies the optional M Drive
Professional, they can also make use of TRACK mode. Other features of
M Drive Professional include the M Laptimer and the Boost Control
function, which maximises longitudinal dynamics when executing
mid-range sprints and overtaking manoeuvres.

Progressive sports car cockpit, M-specific displays on the
BMW Curved Display, exclusive ambience.

As well as the M-specific control panel on the centre console, the
progressive sports car cockpit of the new BMW M5 also contains a newly
designed, flat-bottomed M leather steering wheel with illuminated
M buttons, M multifunction seats with a wide range of electric
adjustment and the BMW Curved Display which, like the standard BMW
Head-Up Display, includes M-specific content. The standard BMW Live
Cockpit Professional also brings the BMW Maps navigation system and
the Augmented View function on the control display.

An upgraded version of BMW iDrive features as standard in the new BMW
M5. It is based on BMW Operating System 8.5 and designed squarely for
use via touch control and natural speech. The digital tech now also
covers the controls for the climate control functions. Temperature
selection, airflow intensity, seat heating and – if specified – the
steering wheel heating can now be controlled by touch via a menu item
in the lower section of the control display or by voice command.

Also playing their part in the exclusive interior ambience are the
standard Merino leather trim, the BMW Interaction Bar, four-zone air
conditioning, heated front seats, ambient lighting with M-specific
interior lighting including Welcome Animation, and the panoramic glass
sunroof. And standard specification for the new BMW M5 also provides
customers with the Bowers & Wilkins Surround Sound System, a
wireless charging tray, Comfort Access, an alarm system, automatic
tailgate operation and the charging cable Professional.

Among the items on the options list are the M Carbon exterior
package, an Alcantara headliner, steering wheel heating, active seat
ventilation and a trailer tow hitch. Model-specific BMW M Performance
Parts will also be offered for the new BMW M5 from launch. The
selection includes M Performance forged light-alloy wheels and

Singapore. BMW Asia and Performance Munich Autos
today launched the new BMW M5 Competition. With its stylistic
fine-tuning, expertly honed operating concept and central display
enlarged to 12.3 inches, the new M5 Competition blends a business
sedan’s unruffled everyday usability with unbeatable high performance
sports car dynamics more effectively than ever.

Featuring new shock absorbers from the BMW M8 Gran Coupé and a
retuned chassis, the new BMW M5 Competition offers even better
driveability and handling at the limit, combined with superior comfort
levels. The new BMW M5 Competition’s 4.4-litre V8 engine with BMW M
TwinPower Turbo technology generates 625 hp.

Stylistic fine-tuning for sharper looks.

As on the BMW 5 Series range, the updated BMW kidney grille drops
down further into the front apron and has a one-piece design framing
both elements of the grille. M-specific double bars and an M5
Competition badge are present and correct. The front apron has bolder
contouring and larger air intakes at the sides, while the expansive
central air intake is hexagonal in shape and incorporates the oil
cooler and the radar sensor for the Active Cruise Control (ACC) system.

The new L-shaped light tubes searing in narrow streaks towards the
kidney grille add a dynamic flourish to the newly designed LED
headlights. The standard BMW Individual lights Shadowline adds a
dark-tinted accent to the Adaptive LED Headlights and BMW Laserlight.
The aluminium bonnet, the front side panels with the signature M
gills, the streamlined M exterior mirrors and the roof made from
carbon fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) join the BMW kidney grille’s
double bars as hallmark design features of the performance models in
the BMW 5 Series range. The thinner walls of the M-specific twin
tailpipes create a greater sense of high-tech precision. The muscular
rear apron with large diffuser has also been restyled, as have the
three-dimensional LED rear lights, whose precise light graphic
provides a fresh take on the familiar BMW L shape.

Black details for the BMW M5 Competition and new colours.

The new BMW M5 Competition also comes with black styling details that
underline its elite status. The BMW kidney grille surround, the mesh
on the M gills, the exterior mirror caps and the additional rear
spoiler on the boot lid all have a High-gloss Black finish, and the
rear apron includes Black inserts. Black M5 Competition badges adorn
the kidney grille, the gills and the boot lid, while the door sill
plates have an illuminated version. The tailpipes of the standard M
Sport exhaust system are finished in Black Chrome.

New BMW M5 Competition customers can choose from five new paint
finishes: Brands Hatch Grey and Motegi Red metallic, as well as the
Tanzanite Blue II metallic, Aventurine Red II metallic and matt Frozen
Bluestone metallic finishes from BMW Individual. The Champagne Quartz
metallic shade offered previously has been renamed Alvit Grey
metallic. Light-alloy wheel options now also include the 20-inch M
double-spoke items in polished Orbit Grey familiar from the BMW M8.

Larger display and new operating concept with M modes.

The introduction of a new operating concept and a larger central
display with a diagonal of 12.3 inches mean the cabin of the new BMW
M5 Competition is more driver-centric than ever. This makes it even
easier to keep a clear eye on the myriad functions associated with the
driving dynamics systems and BMW M xDrive all-wheel drive. Two new
buttons on the centre console – like those found in the BMW M8 –
provide more direct access to system settings and the various readouts
in the instrument cluster and Head-Up Display.

At the press of the M Mode button, the driver can toggle swiftly
between the ROAD and SPORT settings. In the default ROAD setting, all
the standard and optional driver assistance systems are fully
activated. With the SPORT setting engaged, the active driver
assistance systems (in the configuration set by the driver) only
transmit alerts on speed limits and overtaking restrictions, for
example. This mode allows all interventions in the braking and
steering systems to be disabled, aside from those made by the
collision warning with braking function and the Evasion Assistant.
SPORT mode also switches both the instrument cluster and the Head-Up
Display to a special M View.

TRACK mode for an undiluted M feeling in the new BMW M5 Competition.

Keeping the M Mode button pressed then confirming the prompt in the
central display engages the additional TRACK mode. This mode is
designed exclusively for use on race circuits and deactivates all the
comfort and safety functions of the driver assistance systems. To
focus the driver’s attention even more intently on the road ahead, the
audio system is also muted and the central display switched off. The
result is an ultra-pure distillation of M feeling. The instrument
cluster switches to M View, while the Head-Up Display dispenses with
readouts from the driver assistance systems. Automatic activation of
the hazard warning lights in response to emergency braking is
suppressed and the collision warning system is also deactivated.
Pressing the M Mode button again exits TRACK mode and returns to the
ROAD setting.

Setup button takes drivers straight to the configuration menu.

Pressing the Setup button positioned above the M Mode button takes
the driver straight to the central display’s menu for programming an
individual configuration for the powertrain and chassis options – and
thereby tailoring the car’s setup to the driving situation at hand and
their personal preferences. Simplified operation using the touchscreen
display or iDrive Controller makes it easy for the driver to choose
different settings for the engine, suspension, steering and M xDrive
system. The two red-painted M1 and M2 buttons next to the gearshift
paddles on the M multifunction steering wheel enable rapid movement
between the setups. They allow drivers to configure two individual
setups, comprising their choice of M xDrive, DSC, engine,
transmission, damper and steering characteristics, as well as the
appearance of M View in the Head-Up Display.

M multifunction seats as standard.

Merino leather upholstered M multifunction seats with integral head
restraints, an illuminated M5 logo and extended functions come as
standard on the new BMW M5 Competition. Merino full leather trim in
Black/Midrand Beige is now also available as an exclusive option for
the BMW M5 Competition.

Wide choice of driver assistance systems.

All of the driver assistance systems and features from the regular
BMW 5 Series are also available on the new BMW M5 Competition. The
Driving Assistant Professional is among the items to be found on the
options list. As part of the Comfort Access system, the BMW Digital
Key allows the car to be locked and unlocked from selected models of
smartphone using Near Field Communication (NFC) technology.

Imposing power from high-revving V8 engine.

The V8 unit under the bonnet of the new BMW M5 Competition goes about
its business in racing-car-derived, high-revving style – i.e. with
imposing muscularity and supreme power delivery. The new BMW M5
Competition’s 625 hp comes on line at 6,000 rpm.

Peak torque of 750 Nm arrives as low down as 1,800 rpm and is
sustained at this elevated level all the way to 5,860 rpm in the new
BMW M5 Competition. The engine characteristics can be changed at the
touch of a button from the basic EFFICIENT mode to SPORT and SPORT+,
resulting in even more willing response to movements of the
accelerator. The new BMW M5 Competition sprints from 0 – 100 km/h in
3.3 seconds and it requires 10.8 seconds to power to 200 km/h from
rest. The top speed of the new BMW M5 Competition is 250 km/h.

The M Sport exhaust system on the new BMW M5 Competition – with a
dual-branch and flap-controlled design – produce the soundtrack to
match. A more understated engine note can also be summoned with the M
Sound Control button. The eight speed M Steptronic transmission fitted
as standard enables extraordinarily short shift times and fast,
precise responses to every nudge of the accelerator. The Drivelogic
rocker switch on the gear selector allows three modes to be chosen for
efficient, sporty or dynamically intense track driving – the latter
involving extremely rapid gearshifts. The driver can use both the
selector lever and the shift paddles on the steering wheel to
intervene manually.

Bespoke engine mounting for the new BMW M5 Competition.

Among the special features of the new BMW M5 Competition are its
bespoke engine mounts with a stiffer spring rate. The drive unit’s
firmer connection to the vehicle’s structure is clearly perceptible,
resulting in even more rapid engine response and immediate
transmission of its power to the drivetrain. The car also turns into
corners with noticeably greater directness and

precision on account of the extra stiffness in the mounts.

High performance meets everyday usability.

Credit for negotiating the dynamic tightrope between full everyday
usability on the one hand and driving pleasure and exceptional track
performance on the other goes to the M xDrive system and its
centralised intelligent control for the Active M Differential.

As an alternative to variable all-wheel drive mode (4WD) with
rear-biased baseline setup, the car’s handling characteristics can be
altered by varying degrees, culminating in 2WD mode. This pure
rear-wheel drive setting with no DSC (Dynamic Stability Control)
treats accomplished drivers to completely unadulterated driving
pleasure. The M Servotronic steering can also be adjusted in its
response, with a choice of COMFORT and SPORT modes, as can Variable
Damper Control (VDC).

This can be set to COMFORT for impeccable everyday usability, SPORT
to enhance sporty driving on country roads and give an ideal handling
profile for laps of the Nürburgring-Nordschleife, or SPORT+ to
maximise dynamic performance on smooth asphalt, with wheel and body
movements minimised. As well as a seven-millimetre drop in ride height
and other well-conceived tweaks to the suspension and springs, the new
BMW M5 Competition’s setup benefits from further upgrades which take
into account the car’s extra power. Its talents are showcased most
prominently on the race track.

New shock absorbers from the BMW M8 Gran Coupé both improve
on-the-limit handling and bring extra comfort to the driving
experience. Bumps and ruts in the road surface are passed through the
body – and therefore to the passengers – to a far lesser degree, and
this is achieved without blunting the car’s sporting edge and
precision at high or low speeds. The new BMW M5 Competition leaves the
factory with forged, bi-colour, 20-inch M light-alloy wheels in
double-spoke design (front: 9.5 J x 20, rear: 10.5 J x 20) and
mixed-size tyres (front: 275/35 R 20, rear: 285/35 R 20).

M Compound brakes fitted as standard.

The new BMW M5 Competition is equipped as standard with M Compound
brakes, featuring perforated, inner-vented brake discs and six-piston
fixed callipers bearing the M logo at the front and single-piston
floating callipers with an integrated parking brake at the rear. As
well as the High-gloss Red painted finish, the callipers can also be
painted in High-gloss Black as an option. The optional M Carbon
ceramic brakes are recognisable from their gold-coloured callipers
with M logo (six-piston fixed callipers at the front, single-piston
floating callipers at the rear). They withstand wear exceptionally
well, are 23 kilograms lighter, provide even better braking
performance and thermal stability, and boast further improved fade resistance.

The new BMW M5 Competition is now available for viewing at the
Performance Munich Autos showroom.

BMW M GmbH is expanding its ranks of ultra-sporty CS models with
the introduction of the BMW M5 CS (fuel consumption, combined: 11.3
– 11.1 l/100 km [25.0 – 25.5 mpg imp] correspond to NEDC; 11,3 -
10,9 l/100 km correspond to WLTP, CO2 emissions,
combined: 258 – 253 g/km correspond to NEDC, 257 – 248 g/km
correspond to WLTP). The limited-run, exclusive special-edition
model treats four people to an extraordinary driving experience and
blends standout performance attributes with an exclusive and
luxurious appearance.

The 4.4-litre V8 engine with 467 kW/635 hp makes the BMW M5 CS the
most powerful car in the history of BMW M. Standard features include
the eight-speed M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic and the
M xDrive all-wheel-drive system, which also offers a 2WD mode for
pure rear-wheel drive.

Rigorously applied lightweight design enables a weight saving
of some 70 kilograms over the BMW M5 Competition (fuel consumption,
combined: 11.3 – 11.1 l/100 km [26.7 – 26.9 mpg imp] correspond to
NEDC; 11,3 -10,9 l/100 km correspond to WLTP;
CO2 emissions, combined: 259 – 254 g/km correspond to
NEDC; 259 – 249 g/km correspond to WLTP). With retuned bearing
springs at the front and rear axle and further refined damper
control, the chassis has been adapted to the lower vehicle weight
and the increased performance potential of the standard mixed-size
Pirelli P Zero Corsa track tyres (front: 275/35 R 20, rear: 285/35 R 20).

The BMW M5 CS sprints from 0 – 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.0
seconds, and from 0 – 200 km/h (124 mph) in 10.3 seconds. Top speed
is an electronically governed 305 km/h (189 mph).

The exceptional driving experience on board the BMW M5 CS can be
enjoyed by four people – the driver and front passenger in M Carbon
seats and two other passengers in the individual rear seats. The
black Merino leather covers (fine-grain for the front seats) also
feature eye-catching contrasting panels and decorative stitching in
Mugello Red. The integral head restraints – with illuminated M5
logos for the front seats – display an outline of the legendary
Nürburgring circuit.

The centre marker perforation with red background on the
M Alcantara steering wheel is a classical racing car touch;
the gearshift paddles are made from carbon fibre and the
steering wheel spokes have Black Chrome trim.

A fixed lightweight cover on the centre console replaces the usual
armrest with opening lid. Its black Merino leather is complemented
by red double stitching. The colour red is used again for the “CS”
badging on the instrument panel and between the bucket-style seats
in the rear.

The BMW kidney grille surround on the BMW M5 CS, the “M5 CS” badges
on the kidney grille, the M gills on the front wings and the
boot lid are finished in the bold colour shade Gold Bronze, as are
the 20‑inch M forged wheels in Y-spoke design (front: 9.5 J x 20,
rear: 10.5 J x 20). The door sill finishers come with illuminated
“M5 CS” badges.

The L-shaped light tubes of the BMW Laser headlights illuminate
yellow instead of white when low beam, high beam or the Welcome
Light is switched on, bringing successful GT racing cars to mind.

The bonnet, front splitter, exterior mirror caps, rear spoiler,
rear diffuser, M Power engine compartment cover and intake silencer
are made from carbon fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP). Some elements
feature exposed carbon fibre.

Standard specification for the M5 CS includes its stainless-steel
sports exhaust system with four unadorned tailpipes and the M Carbon
ceramic brakes, whose callipers are painted in Red as standard or
Gold as an option.

Available alongside the Brands Hatch Grey metallic paint shade are
the exclusive BMW Individual matt paint finishes Frozen Brands Hatch
Grey metallic and Frozen Deep Green metallic.

The market launch of the new BMW M5 CS will get underway in spring
2021; in Germany it will be priced at 180,400 euros.

The fuel consumption and CO2 emissions figures are
determined according to the European Regulation (EC) 715/2007 in the
version applicable. The figures refer to a vehicle with basic
configuration in Germany. The range shown considers the different
sizes of the selected wheels/tyres and the selected items of
optional equipment, and may vary during configuration.

The values are based on the new WLTP test cycle
and are translated back into NEDC-equivalent values in order to
ensure comparability between the vehicles. With respect to these
vehicles, for vehicle-related taxes or other duties based (at least
inter alia) on CO2 emissions, the CO2 values
may differ from the values stated here (depending on national legislation).

BMW M GmbH has made its BMW M5 (fuel consumption combined:
10.6 – 10.5 l/100 km [26.6 – 26.9 mpg imp];
CO2 emissions combined: 242 – 239 g/km) and BMW M5
Competition (fuel consumption combined: 10.6 – 10.5 l/100 km [26.6
– 26.9 mpg imp]; CO2 emissions combined: 242 – 239
g/km) high-performance sedans better than ever with some stylistic
fine-tuning and a skilfully honed operating concept. The 4.4‑litre
V8 engine with BMW M TwinPower Turbo technology generates 441
kW/600 hp in the BMW M5 and 460 kW/625 hp in the BMW M5
Competition. The eight‑speed M Steptronic transmission with
Drivelogic comes as standard, as does M xDrive all-wheel drive,
which also includes a 2WD setting for pure rear-wheel drive.

Featuring new shock absorbers from the BMW M8 Gran Coupé and
a retuned chassis, the BMW M5 Competition offers even better
driveability and handling at the limit, combined with superior
comfort levels. The BMW M5 Competition sits seven millimetres
lower than the BMW M5 and includes other well-conceived tweaks to
the suspension and springs. This setup makes allowance for the
car’s extra power and truly comes into its own on the race track.

The BMW M5 sprints from 0 – 100 km/h (62 mph) in only
3.4 seconds and passes 200 km/h (124 mph) with just 11.1 seconds
on the clock. The BMW M5 Competition reaches both marks a fraction
more quickly: 100 km/h (62 mph) is up in 3.3 seconds, 200 km/h
(124 mph) in 10.8 seconds.

As on the BMW 5 Series range, the updated BMW kidney grille
drops down further into the front apron; its chrome surround now
has a one-piece design framing both kidney elements, which sport
M‑specific double bars and an M badge.

The restyled front apron has bolder contouring and larger air
intakes at the sides, while the large central air intake is
hexagonal in shape and incorporates the oil cooler along with the
radar sensor for the Active Cruise Control (ACC) system.

New L‑shaped light tubes searing in narrow streaks towards the
kidney grille add a dynamic flourish to the newly designed LED
headlights. The new option of BMW Individual lights Shadowline
adds a dark-tinted accent to the Adaptive LED Headlights and BMW Laserlight.

The LED rear lights now have a three-dimensional feel to them
and provide a fresh take on the familiar BMW L shape with their
precise light graphic.

The larger central display with a diagonal of 12.3 inches makes
it easier than ever to keep a clear eye on the myriad functions of
the driving dynamics systems and BMW M xDrive.

The new two-button operating concept in the centre console
originates from the BMW M8. The M Mode button lets the driver
toggle swiftly between the ROAD and SPORT settings. The Setup
button takes them straight to the central display’s menu, where
they can select an individual configuration for the powertrain and
chassis options. The BMW M5 Competition also offers TRACK mode,
for an undiluted M feeling on race circuits.

The Brands Hatch Grey and Motegi Red metallic colours are both
new, as are the BMW Individual finishes Tanzanite Blue II
metallic, Aventurine Red II metallic and matt Frozen Bluestone
metallic. Champagne Quartz metallic has been renamed Alvit Grey metallic.

The 20-inch M double-spoke wheels in polished Orbit Grey
familiar from the BMW M8 are now available as an option.

The standard M Compound brakes can now be specified with
callipers painted in High-gloss Black or High-gloss Red as an
alternative to the existing blue finish.

Prices in Germany will start at €120,900 for the BMW M5 and
€129,900 for the BMW M5 Competition.

Singapore. BMW Asia and Performance Munich Autos
today launched the all-new BMW M5, a car that takes driving dynamics
into a new dimension. Making its debut in the sixth generation of the
high-performance sedan is the new M-specific all-wheel-drive system M
xDrive. Not only does this drive system enable the M5 to reach new
heights of dynamic performance, it means that it excels in terms of
everyday practicality and delivers supreme poise in all driving
conditions as well.

State-of-the-art driving dynamics: the systematic evolution of
the high-performance concept.

The car’s ability to juggle complete suitability for everyday use on
the one hand and sheer driving pleasure and superb track performance
on the other is down to the M xDrive system’s central intelligent
control capability. When the engine is first started, the all-new BMW
M5 will be in all-wheel-drive mode (4WD) with Dynamic Stability
Control (DSC) switched on. The driver is then able to vary the
handling characteristics of the all-new BMW M5 by activating various
driving dynamics modes, including a rear-wheel-drive mode with no DSC.
In this 2WD mode, the all-new BMW M5 allows accomplished drivers to
enjoy a pure-bred form of driving pleasure.

Hard at work under the bonnet of the all-new BMW M5 is the latest and
most advanced version of the 4.4-litre V8 engine featuring M TwinPower
Turbo technology. Output of 600 hp and peak torque of 750 Nm promise
supreme propulsive power and formidable performance. The twin-turbo V8
unit propels the all-new BMW M5 from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 3.4
seconds, for instance.

The task of relaying the drive power falls to the new eight-speed M
Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic, which teams up with the M
xDrive system to transfer the high-revving engine’s turbocharged might
to the road to optimum effect in all driving conditions. The upshot of
all this is that the all-new BMW M5 is not just the fastest of all the
BMW M5 models built since 1984, but the most nimble too.

M TwinPower Turbo, M xDrive and the eight-speed M Steptronic
transmission: sublime drive power and supreme shift comfort.

Following a thorough overhaul, the 4.4-litre V8 engine with M
TwinPower Turbo technology is now more potent than ever. The
high-revving power unit in the all-new BMW M5 delivers its exceptional
output of 600 hp at 5,600 – 6,700 rpm, while the tremendous peak
torque of 750 Nm is on tap from just 1,800 rpm and remains constant
all the way up to 5,600 rpm. Compared to the outgoing model, maximum
torque has been upped by 70 Nm. The engine characteristics can be
changed at the push of a button from the basic Efficient setting to
either Sport or Sport Plus, resulting in even more willing response to
movements of the accelerator.

The M engineers have implemented a raft of enhancements to endow the
twin-turbo V8 with its phenomenal performance capabilities. These
include newly developed turbochargers and a higher maximum injection
pressure of 350 bar. This allows shorter injection times and improved
atomisation of the fuel for sharper engine response as well as more
efficient mixture preparation. Improvements have also been made to the
lubrication and cooling systems, including an oil pan with a small
front sump and indirect charge air cooling, which is more effective
than the predecessor’s equivalents despite taking up less space. The
oil supply system uses a fully variable, map-controlled pump and has
been designed for outings on the race track, where it can handle very
high levels of longitudinal and lateral acceleration.

Modifications have likewise been made to the cross-bank exhaust
manifolds for the all-new BMW M5. This has the effect of optimising
the transmission of energy from the exhaust gas flows to the turbine
wheels of the two turbochargers and ensuring the best possible
gas-exchange cycle. By fitting a Helmholtz resonator between the two
silencers of the dual-branch exhaust system, the M engineers have
succeeded in reducing its weight. The sound from the flap-controlled
exhaust system varies depending on the selected mode for the engine
characteristics, while the M Sound Control button also allows drivers
of the all-new BMW M5 to soften its acoustic presence.

The twin-turbo V8’s power is channelled to the road via the newly
developed M xDrive all-wheel-drive system. The wonderfully nimble
rear-biased set-up is achieved by the M xDrive system only bringing
the front wheels into play when the rear wheels aren’t able to
transmit any more power to the road and additional tractive force is
required. Even when it is being driven in a particularly sporty manner
and unleashing high levels of power, the all-new BMW M5 with M xDrive
behaves predictably and can be controlled with ease by the driver,
paving the way for an even more intense experience of the business
sedan’s phenomenal performance.

The principal hardware components of M xDrive are based on the BMW
xDrive intelligent all-wheel-drive system and the Active M
Differential, while the central M-specific driving dynamics control
software takes care of orchestrating the various components to
extremely innovative effect. The drivetrain has been reinforced for
greater rigidity and strength to make allowance for the high torque,
the rear-biased configuration and the 2WD option. While the transfer
case splits a portion of the drive torque between the front and rear
wheels in a smoothly adjustable ratio depending on requirements, the
Active M Differential is responsible for then distributing the drive
torque between the rear wheels.

In the case of the active control element within the M xDrive
system’s scope of functions, the locking effect is varied as the
situation demands. This thereby ensures enhanced traction, agility and
directional stability when the car is being driven in a very sporty
manner or on roads with differing levels of grip – i.e. exactly when
it is needed. With M xDrive, stabilising interventions from the DSC
system are only required in extreme situations, enabling the engine’s
tremendous power to be converted into propulsive force with virtually
zero losses. The result of all this is that the all-new BMW M5 can be
piloted with even greater precision and directional accuracy, responds
sensitively and directly to the driver’s inputs and thus requires few
steering corrections when driving at the limit.

More ambitious drivers can configure M xDrive at any time to suit
their needs. Even in the default setting with both DSC and 4WD
activated, the all-new BMW M5 allows a certain amount of slip at the
rear wheels when accelerating out of corners to produce the agility
for which M models are renowned. But the all-new BMW M5 also remains
perfectly controllable at all times. The all-wheel drive’s superior
traction helps to produce acceleration times that are simply
phenomenal by sports sedan standards and would be worthy of a
super-sports car: 0 to 100 km/h in a breathtaking 3.4 seconds and 0 to
200 km/h in just 11.1 seconds.

Switching to the M Dynamic mode (MDM, 4WD Sport) gives a further
major boost to the car’s handling agility. Yet more drive torque is
now directed to the rear axle, while the amount of permissible rear
wheel slip is increased. This lets drivers put the all-new M5 into
controlled drifts and enjoy its playful handling. While doing so, the
onset of oversteer is noticeable in good time and the linear increase
of the sideslip angle means that the vehicle remains stable even when
driving at the limit.

The three modes available with the DSC system switched off have been
configured chiefly for driving on race tracks. The 4WD mode is set up
for the greatest possible controllability and traction, and already
offers plenty of scope for exploring the dynamic performance
capabilities of the all-new BMW M5. The 4WD Sport mode, meanwhile,
with its blend of supreme steering precision, delightful handling and
reassuring traction, offers a sure-fire guarantee of unadulterated
driving pleasure. The pure rear-wheel-drive mode (2WD) has been
designed with the experienced and highly adept driver in mind. This
opens up the same thrilling experience already offered by past
generations of the M5 that of a high-performance sedan devoted to the
art of generating driving pleasure with no control systems to hold it back.

The new eight-speed M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic has
also been strictly geared towards sporty performance. The incredibly
short shift times and optimal ratio spacing will keep even the most
demanding driver happy. What’s more, the wide ratio spread of the
eight-speed M Steptronic unit helps to optimise fuel efficiency, too.

The M Steptronic transmission allows both fully automatic shifting
and sequential gear shifts – using either the new short gear selector
on the centre console of the all-new BMW M5 or the M shift paddles on
the steering wheel. The transmission has been engineered for
instantaneous response and lightning-fast gear changes in classic M
style. The torque converter lock-up clutch is already fully engaged
once the car has pulled away.

The transmission’s shift mapping can be modified using the Drivelogic
rocker switch on the gear selector. Drivelogic mode 1 corresponds to
efficient driving. Mode 2 lends itself to quick driving with its
shortened shift times. And Drivelogic mode 3 is optimised for sporty
driving on the track thanks to its extremely short shift times. Those
preferring to shift gear manually can also execute sporty multiple
downshifts to the lowest available gear, for instance when braking
into tight corners. There are no automatic upshifts when the engine is
revved to the limit either. A transmission oil cooler ensures flawless
transmission operation even when the car is put through its paces on
the track.

Superior chassis technology: a new dimension in driving
dynamics.

Unbeatable driving dynamics with maximum directional stability – that
was the goal of the team responsible for tuning the all-new BMW M5
chassis. As is usual for BMW M GmbH, the tuning took place in part on
the company’s own race circuit at Miramas in the south of France, as
well as on the world’s toughest test track, the Nürburgring Nordschleife.

The precise, agile handling that drivers have come to expect from
previous generations of the BMW M5 has been further optimised for the
new car. Individual driver needs are met by the wide range of options
for configuring the vehicle, including: M xDrive, the eight-speed M
Steptronic with Drivelogic, the M-specific Variable Damper Control
(incl. three driving modes: Comfort, Sport and Sport Plus) with
electronically controlled shock absorbers and M Servotronic steering
(incl. three driving modes: Comfort, Sport and Sport Plus).

A top priority when tuning the chassis of the all-new BMW M5 was to
achieve neutral steering behaviour, even at the dynamic limits. An
important factor here is linear build-up of transverse loads across
the full range of lateral acceleration. Whatever the driving
situation, the electromechanical M Servotronic steering delivers
exactly the right amount of steering torque. This ensures that the
all-new BMW M5 has superbly accurate steering and always delivers
clear feedback. What’s more, the car is great for long-distance
driving, as well as being a joy in the city and on short journeys
thanks to the low steering force required for manoeuvring and parking.

The familiar double-wishbone suspension from the front axle of the
BMW 5 series has been reworked from the ground up for the all-new BMW
M5 with M xDrive. M engineers have redesigned every component to
factor in M-specific kinematic and elastokinematic characteristics.
Directional stability is greater than ever thanks to the increased
track width. The five-link rear suspension has also been modified to
meet M-specific requirements. New toe links featuring stiffer rubber
mounts help accommodate the increased demands on the driving dynamics
and steering precision, as do firmer anti-roll bars and lower
wishbones that have been optimised for stiffness.

Specially developed for the all-new BMW M5, the elastomer bearings on
the rear axle mounts ensure that there is no delay in transferring
chassis forces, which makes for superbly direct handling. An
additional steel X-brace and an aluminium transverse strut increase
the stiffness of the chassis linkages at the rear axle, resulting in
improved response. Further chassis modifications not visible
externally perform functions that are no less important. For example,
an aluminium tower-to-bulkhead stiffening profile and two
tower-to-frontend struts enhance stiffness at the front of the car.

The tyres fitted as standard on the BMW M5 (20-inch
seven-double-spoke wheels in Bicolour; front: 275/35 R 20, at rear:
285/35 R 20) have been specially selected. They are mounted on
five-double-spoke cast light-alloy wheels in polished Orbit Grey
(front: 9.5 J x 19, rear: 10.5 J x 19). All wheels are ZR speed rated,
making them suitable for the top speed of 305 km/h achieved by the
all-new BMW M5 with M Driver’s Package (standard version: 250 km/h).

The all-new BMW M5 comes with M compound brakes fitted as standard.
Being significantly lighter than conventional cast iron items, these
have the distinct benefit of reducing unsprung mass. At the front, the
braking force is applied to perforated, inner-vented brake discs by
blue-painted six-piston fixed callipers featuring the M logo.
Deceleration at the rear is provided by single-piston floating
calliper brakes, also in blue, with integrated parking brake.

M carbon-ceramic brakes are also available as an option on the
all-new BMW M5. These are instantly recognisable from the
gold-coloured callipers with M logo (six-piston fixed callipers at
front, single-piston floating callipers at rear) and are 23 kilograms
lighter, which means a further reduction in unsprung and rotating
masses. This offers many benefits, including improved driving dynamics
and increased suspension comfort. The M carbon-ceramic brakes provide
even better braking performance than M compound brakes, as well as
further improved fade resistance and even higher thermal stability.
What is more, they withstand wear exceptionally well.

Sporting M design with distinction: form driven by function.

Like all the models to come out of BMW M GmbH HQ in Garching, its
design is M-specific and driven by function. For example, the newly
designed front bumper trim, with its larger air intakes, has the task
of keeping the cooling systems and brakes sufficiently supplied with
cooling air – even in exacting use on the race track. The car has a
wider track than its predecessor, and the front side panels (made from
aluminium to save weight) bear the signature M gills.

Also hewn from aluminium is the bonnet, whose precise lines carve an
eye-catching sculpture and extend visually into the shaping of the
roof. In an M5 first, the roof itself is made from extremely
lightweight, high-strength carbon fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP).

The rear diffuser has likewise been redesigned. Together with the
side skirts, the M rear apron and M rear spoiler play their part in
giving the M5 its powerfully sporting appearance, and the exterior
mirrors have a dynamic, M-specific design. The hexagonal central air
intake in the front end not only separates itself sculpturally from
the side air intakes, in another example of form following function it
also incorporates the oil cooler.

The interior focuses squarely on the driver; absolute control in all
driving situations is the motto here. At the same time, the all-new
BMW M5 offers space for up to four passengers, a large boot and
excellent ride comfort. As a high-performance sports car and business
sedan in one, it blends the best of both worlds.

Equipment without compromise: the driver is at the heart of
the action.

When it comes to the equipment on board the all-new BMW M5, the
dynamic driving experience is always king. The centre-point is the
driver’s seat, from where all switches and buttons can be operated
with optimum ergonomic convenience. All of the car’s functions are
sited directly in the driver’s eye line. The large digital instrument
cluster from the BMW 5 Series has an M-specific design and keeps the
driver informed on the driving dynamic mode, M xDrive all-wheel-drive
system’s setting and Drivelogic option currently engaged. Key elements
here for the sporty driver are the variable rpm pre-warning field and
shift lights that show the best time to change gears when in manual
shift mode. This data can also be reflected into the M-specific
Head-Up Display.

Virtually all of the driving dynamic systems can be configured using
the central touch display, buttons on the centre console or M sports
steering wheel, and the central information display offers gesture
control. The all-new BMW M5’s engine is stirred into life by pressing
the red starter button. Among the essential features for drivers with
sporting aspirations are the two red-painted M1 and M2 buttons next to
the gearshift paddles on the M multifunction steering wheel, which
allow drivers to configure two individual set-ups for the M5. These
include their choice of M xDrive, DSC, engine, transmission, damper
and steering characteristics, as well as the appearance of M view in
the Head-Up Display.

The all-new BMW M5 is trimmed with Merino leather as standard. The
driver and front passenger settle into M sports seats with electric
adjustment and an embossed M logo in the head restraints. As well as
electric adjustment for the seat depth, there is also pneumatic
backrest width adjustment to deliver optimum lateral support, which is
particularly important when the driver is pushing on. The driver’s
seat also has a memory function. The standard M multifunction seats
with integral head restraints providing even better support in the
shoulder area, an illuminated M5 logo and extended functions. With
their racing-style bucket shape and the thicker side bolsters of the
seat surface and backrest, the M multifunction seats offer even
greater lateral support. For the first time, the all-new BMW M5 is now
also available with all the driver assistance systems and features
familiar from the new BMW 5 Series.

The all-new BMW M5 can be ordered in a variety of exterior colours,
some of which are reserved exclusively for the M5. New additions to
the spectrum include Marina Bay Blue Metallic, an intense shade of
blue. Matt finishes such as Frozen Dark Silver and Frozen Arctic Grey
can be specified as an option. Inside the car, exclusive aluminium
applications with a carbon-structure provide a special sporting flourish.

In the best of company: Previous generations of the BMW M5.
The M5 has been the quintessential sports sedan for over 30 years.

Since 1984, the BMW M5 has been a standard-bearer for fast
high-performance sedans preferring not to shout about their sporting
potential. The various generations of the BMW M5 have always possessed
pure-bred racing genes and acquitted themselves impressively on the
race track as well as on the road. The new BMW M5 represents the sixth
generation of the super-powered 5 Series. And, like those that have
gone before it, the new model promises to continue BMW M GmbH’s record
of building distinctive sports cars that really can be used every day.
Below is a brief look back at the five generations of the BMW M5 that
have gone before.

1984: The E28S BMW M5.

BMW Motorsport GmbH had already presented the M535i – a particularly
sporty 5 Series – back in 1979 and followed it up with another M535i
based on the E12’s successor (the E28) in 1984, before the first
generation of the BMW M5 (the E28S) arrived on the scene in autumn
that year. It was powered by the celebrated four-valve six-cylinder
in-line engine with 3.5-litre displacement and 286 hp, which had also
proved itself in race competition and was familiar from the
mid-engined M1 sports car. Equipped with individual throttle
butterflies, the engine powered the original M5 from 0 – 100 km/h in
just 6.5 seconds and gave it a top speed of 245 km/h. That made the
first BMW M5 the fastest four-door series-produced sedan of its time.

1988: The E34S/E34/5S BMW M5.

The introduction of the second-generation M5 (the E34S) in 1988 saw
BMW Motorsport GmbH raise the power stakes by a clear margin once
again. The new car developed 315 hp from its straight-six engine,
whose displacement had been increased to 3.6 litres. That was enough
to propel the M5 to 250 km/h for the first time. An update in 1992
(known as the E34/5S) took displacement to 3.8 litres and output to
340 hp. And from 1992 the über-5 Series was also available in a
Touring estate version, whose rarity (just under 900 units were
produced) has made it a highly prized young classic.

1998: The E39S BMW M5.

The sports-focused branch of BMW AG – rechristened BMW M GmbH in 1993
– remained true to its heritage with the third generation of the M5
unveiled in 1998. The E39S M5 shared all the stylistic understatement
of its predecessors. However, under the bonnet of the new car was a
five-litre four-valve V8, which sent a full 400 hp and 500 Nm of peak
torque to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox. The top
speed of this new M5 was once again electronically limited to 250
km/h, while 0 to 100 km/h took 5.3 seconds.

2005: The E60/E61 BMW M5.

For the fourth BMW M5 (the E60), M GmbH put its faith in a newly
developed, high-revving V10 engine with five-litre displacement, which
generated its maximum output of 507 hp at an eyebrow-raising 7,750
rpm. The four-valve power unit whisked the fourth-generation M5 from 0
to 100 km/h in only 4.7 seconds. For the first time, M5 drivers could
have the car’s speed limiter raised by specifying the M Driver’s
Package – and that turned the M5 into a 305 km/h car. Another new
addition was the automated sequential M gearbox (SMG) with seven gears
and Launch Control for maximum acceleration off the line. This BMW M5
was also available in Touring (E61) guise – from 2007.

2011: The F10M BMW M5.

The fifth-generation BMW M5 (the F10M) took to the stage in 2011.
Replacing the V10 engine was a 4.4-litre bi-turbo V8 that fired the M5
into new dimensions. The new M5 now developed almost double the power
(560 hp) of the original M5. Its 680 Nm of peak torque also
represented virtually twice what the E28S could offer (340 Nm). M
TwinPower Turbo technology enabled the latest M5 with a seven-speed M
Double Clutch Transmission to sprint from 0 – 100 km/h in a mere 4.3
seconds and on to a maximum 315 km/h. This was followed in 2013 by the
M5 with Competition Package, which packed a 575 hp punch. And in 2014
came the “30 Jahre M5” (30 years of the M5) special-edition model
producing 600 hp, which paid tribute to the original E28S M5 and was
limited to 300 units. In 2016 sales began of the likewise 600 hp “M5
Competition Edition” special edition, which was capped at 200 units.

2018: The F90 BMW M5.

The all-new BMW M5 (the F90) sees BMW M GmbH writing the next chapter
in a success story which began over 30 years ago and is based on an
apparently simple recipe: unbeatable sports performance and
unimpeachable everyday usability brought together into one supreme package.

The all-new BMW M5 is now available for viewing at the Performance
Munich Autos showroom.

The new BMW M5.

The new BMW M5 (fuel consumption combined: 10.5 l/100 km
[26.9 mpg imp]*; CO2 emissions combined: 241 g/km*) takes BMW M GmbH
into new territory, with M xDrive all-wheel drive featuring in the
high-performance sedan for the first time. This change of tack sees
the M5 exploring new dynamic dimensions and offering greater everyday
practicality in all driving conditions. The new car is committed to
building on the tradition of a concept – the luxurious four-door
business sedan with a taste for the race track – first glimpsed in
1984 with the original BMW M5.

The new M xDrive developed by BMW M GmbH is the most emotionally
engaging all-wheel-drive system yet to grace the high-performance
segment. It works with a central transfer case with multi-plate clutch
and distributes drive fully variably between the front and rear axle,
as required. Another ingredient in the car’s supreme traction in all
road and weather conditions is the Active M Differential at the rear
axle, which also works fully variably and has a locking effect between
0 and 100 per cent.

The character of M xDrive can be adjusted as desired. The driver has
five different configurations to choose from based on combinations of
the DSC modes (DSC on, MDM, DSC off) and M xDrive modes (4WD, 4WD
Sport, 2WD). In the basic setting with DSC (Dynamic Stability Control)
activated and 4WD, the system permits slight slip through the rear
wheels when accelerating out of corners – and therefore plays its part
in giving the new BMW M5 its sporting agility. In M Dynamic mode (MDM,
4WD Sport) M xDrive allows easily controlled drifts. The three
M xDrive modes with DSC switched off have been conceived to sate the
appetites of keen drivers and primarily for use on the track. Here,
the driver can choose from three configurations up to and including
pure rear-wheel drive (2WD). This mode allows the driver to pick their
own drift angle and treats connoisseurs to driving dynamics in their
purest form.

Providing ample power for the new BMW M5 is a 4.4-litre V8 bi-turbo
engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology. The M engineers have carried
out significant revisions to the outgoing model’s power unit. For
example, newly developed turbochargers, ultra-efficient indirect
charge air cooling and increased fuel injection pressure together help
to raise output and, above all, torque. The engine develops
441 kW/600 hp at 5,600 – 6,700 rpm, while a monumental 750 Nm (553
lb-ft) of torque is placed at the driver’s disposal from as low down
as 1,800 rpm and remains there until 5,600 rpm. A map-controlled,
fully variable oil pump ensures oil is supplied as and when the new
BMW M5 needs it, even on the track. The car’s impressive performance
figures speak for themselves: 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.4
seconds, 0 to 200 km/h in 11.1 seconds (124 mph). Top speed,
meanwhile, is an electronically limited 250 km/h (155 mph), but the
optional M Driver’s Package can keep the fun coming to 305 km/h (189 mph).

The new BMW M5 channels all that power through a specially tuned
eight-speed M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic. In D mode it
provides all the comfort and convenience of fully automatic gear
changes, but can then also switch to sequential manual shifts. The
driver can do this using either the compact selector lever on the
centre console or the steering wheel-mounted paddles. Drivelogic
allows the driver to adjust the transmission’s characteristics to
their personal preferences. For track use, the
eight-speed M Steptronic unit serves up lightning-fast shift times,
helping to give the new BMW M5 its exceptional agility and dynamic flair.

The suspension of the new BMW M5 is likewise designed to deliver both
maximum traction for everyday use and supreme dynamic performance on
the track. Like the engine, transmission and M xDrive system, it has
been tuned by experts and racing drivers at venues including the
world’s most exacting test facility – the Nürburgring Nordschleife
circuit. Sophisticated stiffening elements in the front and rear
structures ensure the body structure is extremely rigid and therefore
that the car provides instantaneous feedback, in particular when the
driver is pushing hard on the road or track.

The driver can also choose from Comfort, Sport and Sport Plus modes
for the Variable Damper Control (VDC) system – which has M-specific
tuning – and the M Servotronic steering. And the engine’s
characteristics can also be configured to the driver’s tastes via the
Efficient, Sport and Sport Plus modes. The two M1 and M2 buttons on
the M leather steering wheel can be used to store two set-ups
combining the driver’s preference of engine, transmission, suspension
and M xDrive modes, the DSC mode and Head-Up-Display settings. The
driver can then activate their preferred set-up by pressing the
relevant button.

The new BMW M5 includes revisions to its bodywork over the regular
BMW 5 Series to satisfy its challenging dynamic brief. The M engineers
have redesigned the broader front side panels and front bumper trim to
include larger apertures for the air feeding the cooling systems and

brakes. Also new is the rear diffuser. The exhaust system’s quartet
of tailpipes are a visual pointer to the power generated by the BMW M5
and also lay on a suitably sporting soundtrack for the job in hand,
courtesy of their flap control system. The driver can use a button to
adjust the engine sound as desired.

The bonnet, which also has an M-specific design, is made from
aluminium and boasts eye-catching sculpture lines. These extend into
the extremely lightweight carbon fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) roof
– a standard feature of the new M5. The weight savings contributed by
the CFRP roof and other components such as the exhaust system help to
ensure the new BMW M5 with M xDrive all-wheel drive is lighter than
its predecessor.

The new BMW M5 is fitted as standard with M compound brakes, which
are lighter than conventional grey cast iron items and therefore also
bring down the car’s weight. With blue-painted six-piston fixed
callipers at the front and single-piston floating callipers at the
rear, plus perforated, inner-vented brake discs all round, the M
compound brakes have the speed-shedding power to befit the car’s
dynamic potency. The optional M carbon ceramic brakes, which can be
identified by callipers painted in a gold colour and shave another
23 kilograms off the M5’s weight, can withstand even greater punishment.

Munich. Intelligent functionality is the great
strength of the new BMW 5 Series Touring. But whether in day-to-day
use or on longer trips, it stands out not just due to its comfort and
versatility but also thanks to its enhanced driving pleasure derived
from optimised engine and suspension technology. This sporty character
can be specifically underscored by means of BMW M Performance
accessories available as of the market launch of the new BMW 5 Series
Touring. These ensure not just an individually tailored boost in
agility and dynamic performance but also a distinctive, athletic
appearance. The new BMW 5er Touring with M Performance Parts sees its
world premiere at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.

With their first-hand technological expertise,
the BMW M Performance Power Kits provide a
perfectly dosed increase in power for the engine in question,
increasing driving performance but without influencing fuel
consumption and exhaust emissions according to the EU test cycle. A
BMW Power and Sound Kit is offered from market launch for the
6-cylinder petrol engine model BMW 540i xDrive Touring (combined fuel
consumption: 7.7 – 7.3 l/100 km; combined CO2 emissions:
177 – 167 g/km) which increases output to 265 kW/360 hp and raises
maximum torque by 50 Nm to 500 Nm. This also optimises the engine’s
response and pulling power. What is more, spirited power delivery is
accompanied by a striking, sporty sound thanks to the perfectly
matched silencer system.

The BMW M Performance exhaust system is also
available as a separate accessory product – both for the
BMW 540i xDrive Touring and the BMW 530i Touring (combined fuel
consumption: 6.3 – 5.8 l/100 km; combined CO2 emissions:
143 – 133 g/km). The BMW M Performance diesel exhaust
system is offered for the diesel models BMW 530d Touring
(combined fuel consumption: 5.1 – 4.7 l/100 km; combined CO2
emissions: 134 – 124 g/km), BMW 530d xDrive Touring (combined fuel
consumption: 5.7 – 5.3 l/100 km; combined CO2 emissions:
149 – 139 g/km) and BMW 520d Touring (combined fuel consumption:
4.9 – 4.5 l/100 km; combined CO2 emissions: 129 – 119 g/km). In all
models, the respective stainless steel sports silencer not only
ensures a characteristic sound but also adds an attractive touch of
visual flair. Depending on engine type and equipment, it comes with
either round or trapezoid tailpipe trims in chrome or carbon fibre.
The trapezoid tailpipe trims are also available as separate
accessories for all model versions of the new BMW 5 Series Touring.

The retrofit products in the suspension category help optimise sprint
capacity, handling precision on bends and brake performance so as to
achieve dynamic performance in true BMW M style. The BMW M
Performance sports brake system available for the BMW 5
Series Touring offers a particularly high level of thermal resilience,
thereby ensuring a constant deceleration effect even when driving in
highly dynamic style. These qualities are achieved by means of inner
vented, perforated lightweight construction brake discs with 4-piston
fixed caliper brakes made of aluminium on the front axle and
single-piston floating caliper brakes on the rear axle. Red brake
calipers serve as a visual indication of the fact that the design is
derived from motor racing. They particularly come into their own in
combination with the 20-inch BMW M Performance light alloy
wheels. These feature a dual-level double-spoke design and
are available entirely in the colour Orbit Grey or in a Bi-Color
finish. The weight-optimised forged aluminium wheels have mixed tyres
in the sizes 245/35 R20 on the front axle and 275/30 R20 on the rear
axle, complete with emergency running properties.

The driving characteristics and appearance of the new BMW 5 Series
Touring can also be enhanced by means of
model-specific BMW M Performance Parts in the
product category of aerodynamics. The precisely harmonised components
for the exterior are offered as a supplement to the M sports package.
Here the range includes attachment parts for the front bumper in
carbon fibre and a dual-section diffuser insert for the rear apron.
The lower section of the rear diffuser is available both in
hand-crafted carbon fibre as well as in a more discreet version made
of polyurethane (PUR), which can be painted according to customer
preference. This paint finish option is also available for the matt
black side sill attachments made of PUR. Further visual highlights can
be added in the form of BMW M Performance exterior mirror
caps in carbon fibre, the black BMW M Performance
radiator grille, black BMW M Performance
bars for the brake air channels, side sill stickers with M
Performance inscription and BMW M Performance accent strips.

A particular attraction from the cockpit area is
the BMW M Performance sports steering wheel. In
vehicles with an 8-speed Steptronic sports transmission the latter
comes with shift paddles for manual gear selection. With its rim in
Alcantara complete with silver-grey cross-stitch seam and red central
marking at the 12 o’clock, position, the BMW M Performance sports
steering ensures intense motor sport steering in the new BMW 5 Series
Touring at all times – not just on winding country roads.

All components are fully subject to the high BMW Group standards in
terms of material selection, design and quality of workmanship. What
is more, retrofitting these items has no impact whatsoever on the
warranty terms as applicable to the vehicle in question. The BMW M
Performance products form part of the Original BMW Accessories
program, sold and installed through the BMW dealer network, BMW sales
subsidiaries and BMW Service Partners.

The model-specific BMW M Performance accessories are offered to
coincide with the launch of the new BMW 5 Series Touring.

Press Contact: Francis Hung
Tel: +6568389502
E-mail: francis.hung@bmwasia.com

Press Release,M5,5 Series,F10M LCI,G31,Touring,Product,BMW,BMW M

Jakarta. The fifth generation of the
world’s most successful premium high-performance saloon, the new
BMW M5 was unveiled today to the press at Senayan City. The new model
will be displayed for public viewing in the mall until April 8, 2012.

The new BMW M5 is a high-performance sports car whose
exceptional dynamic potential is geared squarely to the demands of
track use yet which also sets a new benchmark in everyday driving with
its supreme touring comfort and innovative equipment features.
It also sets the pace in its class in term of efficiency. The
car’s history of success in a segment founded more than 25 years
ago by the original BMW M5 is set to continue in thrillingly
contemporary style.

"Built on the tradition of its predecessors, the new BMW M5 has
once again redefined the performance experience available in a saloon
car," said Ramesh Divyanathan, President Director of BMW Group
Indonesia. "Not only does the new BMW M5 possess state-of-the-art
technology and astonishingly dynamic handling for which BMW M cars are
well-known for, it also stirs the passion of keen aficionados for top
driving performance and blends it with the universal quality of a
top-class premium saloon.“

Under the hood of the new BMW M5 lies a newly developed,
high-revving 4.4 liter V8 engine with M TwinPower Turbo (consisting of
Twin Scroll Twin Turbo technology, a cross-bank exhaust manifold, High
Precision Injection and VALVERONIC fully variable valve control),
maximum output of 560 hp at 6,000 – 7,000 rpm and peak torque of
680 Nm between 1,500 and 5,750 rpm. The instantaneous power
delivery and sustained thrust familiar from M cars is the key to
acceleration of 0-100 km/h in 4.4 seconds. Average fuel
consumption stands at 10.1 km/l and CO2 emissions at 232 g/km.

The new BMW M5 is equipped with the most powerful engine ever fitted
in a series produced model from BMW M GmbH, the innovative Active M
Differential which optimizes power transfer to the rear wheels.

“Coupled with extensive racing expertise accumulated over the
years, the combination has secured the new BMW M5 with a dominant
position in the high-performance saloon market,” added Mr.
Divyanathan. “That said, it is important to highlight that
the car is also relatively fuel-efficient thanks to BMW
EfficientDynamics. While output has increased by around 10 per
cent and maximum torque is up by more than 30 per cent, the new BMW M5
burns over 30 per cent less fuel than its predecessor.”

The significantly improved balance between the performance-focused M
experience and the car’s fuel consumption stems from the
exceptionally impressive efficiency of the new V8 engine and from
far-reaching Efficient Dynamics technology including the Auto
Start-Stop function in conjunction with the standard seven-speed M
Double Clutch Transmission Drivelogic. In order to channel the
engine’s imposing power development into inspiring performance
characteristics, the new BMW M5 boasts chassis technology –
including electronically controlled dampers, M-specific Servotronic
steering, a stability control system with M Dynamic Mode and
high-performance compound brakes – developed on the back of
racing expertise and tuned to the output profile of the powerplant.

This technology combines with model-specific design features –
which make a direct contribution to optimizing the supply of cooling
air and enhancing aerodynamic characteristics – to create the
conceptual harmony typical of BMW M cars. The precise interplay
of the drive system, chassis and design has been refined in extensive
and detailed testing on the Nordschleife circuit at the Nurburgring,
to ensure unbeatable longitudinal and lateral acceleration, handling
characteristics and braking performance.

The interior design, control concept and innovative equipment
features of the new car also play their part in creating the exclusive
M experience. M multifunctional sport seats, an M leather
steering wheel, and an M-specific instrument cluster and centre
console lend the cockpit a classical sports car feeling. For the
first time, two M Drive buttons have been fitted as standard for the
driver to call up the ideal car set-up for the situation at
hand. High-quality, precisely finished materials, generous
levels of space and the extensive range of equipment fitted as
standard generate the premium ambience – laced with cutting-edge
luxury – of a BMW 5 Series model.

The new BMW M5 is fully equipped with technologically advanced
features such as BMW M Head-up Display, rear-view camera, Comfort
Access, HiFi system professional LOGIC 7, BMW Navigation system
Professional with 10.2“ control Display, USB Audio Interface
with 12 GB Hard disk, Bluetooth office with audio streaming, Voice control.

The new BMW M5 is offered at the price of Rp. 1.988.000.000,-
off the road.

Meanwhile, BMW Indonesia has reported a strong sale in March 2012
delivering 200 units of BMWs, an increase from 150 units in February
2012. In the first quarter of 2012, the company has recorded an
impressive 54% increase with a total sale of 495 units, up from 321
units in the first quarter of 2011. The volume is pushed by the strong
demand of BMW 5 Series and BMW X1, both models have been assembled in
Indonesia. The top selling model is the BMW 5 Series, delivering
a total of 156 units, followed by X1 with 130 units and 3 Series
with 120 units.

The significantly improved balance between the performance-focused M
experience and the car’s fuel consumption stems from the
exceptionally impressive efficiency of the new V8 engine and from
far-reaching EfficientDynamics technology including the Auto

The new BMW M5 is fully equipped with technologically advanced
features such as BMW M Head-up Display, rear-view camera, Comfort
access with contactless tailgate opening, HiFi system professional
LOGIC 7, BMW Navigation system Professional with 10.2“ control
Display, USB Audio Interface with 12 GB Hard disk, Bluetooth office
with audio streaming, Voice control.

game Forza Motorsport 4 – Launch also marks the start of the
BMW M5 Forza Cup – Winner’s prize is a BMW M5.

Munich. The upcoming launch of the new BMW M5 has set
pulses racing, thanks, among other things, to its athletic and elegant
design, V8 engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology developing 412
kW/560 hp, seven-speed M Double Clutch Transmission with Drivelogic,
and Active M Differential. And now the Forza Motorsport 4 racing
simulation game for the Xbox 360 console provides the perfect outlet
for this excitement. Ahead of the car’s official road launch,
ambitious gamers can now thread the high-performance sedan around the
world’s most spectacular race circuits on their TV or computer
screens. The Limited Collector’s Edition of the latest version
of Forza Motorsport sees the new BMW M5 not only taking on the role of
“hero car” but also featuring as the game’s cover
star. On the same day as the game is released (14 October 2011),
registration will open for the BMW M5 Forza Cup. The competition to
set the fastest virtual laps in the new M5 will build to a climax in
the finale at the BMW Welt. The fastest gamer will earn him or herself
the keys to a very real high-performance experience; the
winner’s prize is a BMW M5.

A few weeks after the car’s world premiere at the Frankfurt
International Motor Show (IAA) – but ahead of its market launch
in December 2011 – the Forza Motorsport community will have the
chance to rack up the first virtual laps with the new BMW M5. The
latest version of the globally popular racing game uses
high-resolution HD graphics and state-of-the-art simulation technology
to deliver an exceptionally realistic driving experience. Gamers can
piece together their preferred race scenario from around 500 different
cars and more than 100 circuits. The highlight is the new BMW M5,
which will sample its first taste of virtual race action in Forza
Motorsport 4. Gamers will compete to set the quickest times on
circuits such as the Nürburgring’s Nordschleife track,
where BMW M GmbH engineers have been fine-tuning the actual car over
recent weeks and months. Forza Motorsport 4 offers a range of
difficulty levels and driving aids, allowing both rookies and
experienced gamers to experience the thrills and excitement of the
game – and the new BMW M5 – straight off the start line.

For the first time, gamers will have the choice of using the
controller or the innovative new Kinect control system for the Xbox
360 to pilot the car. Added to which, the game also features a garage
mode, in which the selected car can be explored and configured. As
well as the new BMW M5, the range of cars players can choose from
includes a host of other BMW models, from the BMW M1 to the new BMW 6
Series Coupé.

The cooperation between BMW and Microsoft also incorporates the BMW
M5 Forza Cup. This competition allows gamers who have signed up as
members of the Xbox Live online community or at www.bmw.de/forza4 to
push for the quickest time in the new BMW M5. Visitors to selected BMW
branches, BMW Welt in Munich and the BMW showroom in Berlin will also
have the chance to enter the competition. The 16 finalists will lock
horns in the final of the BMW M5 Forza Cup at BMW Welt on 26 November
2011. And the winner can look forward to a lap of honour in their very
own – and very real – BMW M5.

Singapore. The new BMW M5, the fifth generation of
the world’s most successful high-performance saloon in the
premium segment of the executive class, is set to arrive in Singapore
in Q1 2012.

A change in leadership is nigh in the exclusive segment that brings
together ultra-dynamic business saloons with track-oriented drive and
chassis technology. The new BMW M5 is poised to build on the tradition
of its predecessors and once again redefine the performance experience
available in a four-door car. Displaying the conceptual harmony,
state-of-the-art technology and astonishingly dynamic handling for
which BMW M cars have become renowned, the fifth-generation BMW M5
stirs the passion of keen drivers for top performance and blends it,
in inimitable style, with the universal qualities of a top-class
premium saloon. The most powerful engine ever fitted in a
series-produced model from BMW M GmbH, the innovative Active M
Differential – which optimises power transfer to the rear wheels
– and model-specific chassis technology developed on the back of
extensive racing expertise all secure the BMW M5 a dominant position
in the high-performance saloon market.

The new BMW M5 is a high-performance sports car whose exceptional
dynamic potential is geared squarely to the demands of track use yet
which also sets a new benchmark in everyday driving with its supreme
touring comfort and innovative equipment features. It also sets the
pace in its class in terms of efficiency. The car’s history of
success in a segment founded more than 25 years ago by the original
BMW M5 is set to continue in thrillingly contemporary style.

The ultimate
in sports saloon motoring has got a name: M5. This finest 5 Series
vehicle is the most powerful of all time: five litres of cubic capacity,
ten cylinders, a maximum output of 507 bhp (373 kW), a peak torque of
520 Newton metres and engine speeds redlining at 8,000 rpm, these are
figures that speak for themselves. In an unprecedented way, these
figures blur the lines between a car for everyday use and a vehicle for
ambitious motor sport racing. A successful recipe for two decades:
power without overstatement. With its performance figures, the
fourth-generation M5 once again sets the benchmark in the segment of
powerful sports saloons, a niche which the first M5 carved for itself
back in 1984. During the last 20 years, this first M5 and all its
successors have made their mark, always setting the standard as a
perfect symbiosis of a comfortable, elegant saloon for everyday use,
abundant output delivered by a powerful engine and ultimate sportiness.
With sales figures exceeding 34,000, the M5 has proved to be an
economically successful concept which combines prodigious performance
with understatement, a basic feature of all M automobiles. This
principle reaches its culmination in the new M5: this 'extreme athlete'
with its subtle appearance and the seemingly endless power of its
ten-cylinder high-revving engine, which interacts perfectly with the
seven-speed SMG gearbox, introduces the driver to completely new
dimensions of effortlessness. To put it in a nutshell: in its class,
which it shares with top-class competitors, the M5 excels due to the
most innovative drive concept, the best power-to-weight ratio, supreme
handling and excellent everyday driving qualities. It is a fully
roadworthy saloon with the heart of an athlete, a sports car which is
perfectly suited for everyday motoring. The new M5 skilfully combines
these two virtues. First high-revving V10 engine to be featured in a
regular-production saloon. The V10 is the only high-revving power unit
to be featured in a series-production car. Featured in the most
powerful production car within the BMW model family, this new engine
once again sets the benchmark in its class. There is, however, more to
it than pure performance. What is important for M automobiles is
acceleration and driving dynamics, the latter which is dependent on the
actual forward thrust and the vehicle's weight. The drive forces at the
driven wheels are significantly influenced by the engine torque and the
total ratio. The high-revving concept caters for an optimum
transmission and rear-axle ratio, thus guaranteeing an impressive
forward thrust. The perfect choice: high-revving concept. For the BMW M
engineers the compact, high-revving normally aspirated engine was the
ideal choice. With a red line of 8,250 rpm, the ten-cylinder engine has
ventured into terrain which has so far been reserved for red-blooded
racing cars. Compared to the previous M5 eight-cylinder engine,
performance has increased by more than 25 percent. The M5 has also
surpassed the magical 100 bhp per litre limit, its specific output
being on par with that of racing cars. A masterpiece in engine
construction. The two five-cylinder banks of the V10 are arranged at an
angle of 90° to achieve a mass balance of the crankshaft drive,
which is optimised for low vibration and increased comfort. For reasons
of stiffness and due to the high loads resulting from combustion
pressure, engine speed and vibrations, a bedplate design has been
chosen for the crankcase, the first-ever application in a production V
engine by BMW. For an optimum alignment of the crankshaft, grey-cast
iron inserts have been integrated into the aluminium bedplate, which
also serve to enhance acoustics, increase vibrational comfort and ensure
a high oil supply rate. The extremely stiff crankshaft is supported by
six bearings. High-pressure bi-VANOS and individual throttle
butterflies. The bi-VANOS variable valve timing featured in the new M5
engine ensures an optimum charge cycle, thus helping to achieve
extremely short adjustment times. This means in practice: increased
performance, an improved torque curve, optimum responsiveness, lower
consumption and fewer emissions. Each cylinder has its own throttle, a
feature typical of racing cars. Throttle control is fully electronic
and cylinder bank specific. Dual exhaust system made of stainless
steel. The exhaust system is made of seamless stainless steel and has a
dual-flow design all the way to the silencers. The exhaust gases
finally leave the system through four tailpipes which are what make the
rear end of the M vehicles so unmistakable. The exhaust system complies
with the European EU4 and the US LEV2 emission standards. The engine
control module: the first of its kind in the world. The MS S65 engine
management system is the central factor behind the V10?s outstanding
performance and emission data. This engine management system is
unparalleled in its package density. Its processors are the most
powerful ones which are currently approved for use in automobiles, as
high engine speeds and comprehensive management and control tasks
demand the utmost from this system. Highlight in engine management:
ionic current technology. The ionic current technology featured by the
engine management unit is a technological highlight which serves to
detect engine knock, misfiring and combustion misses. Utilising the
spark plug in each cylinder, this system helps to pinpoint engine
knock, to check for correct ignition and to detect any ignition misses.
Thus, the spark plug has a dual function ? as an actuator for the
ignition and as a sensor for monitoring the combustion process.
Seven-speed SMG gearbox conveys M power to the tarmac. The high-revving
concept only succeeds in combination with a gearbox which translates
the torque available to the engine, by means of a short overall
transmission ratio, into optimised forward thrust. The seven-speed SMG
gearbox is precisely the right transmission to ideally convey the V10
engine?s power via the drive train to the wheels. BMW M is the first
manufacturer worldwide to offer a seven-speed sequential gearbox with
drivelogic function. Even more highly perfected than the previous
six-speed transmission, the seven-speed SMG gearbox enables manual gear
selection with ultra-short shifting times as well as comfortable
cruising thanks to automated gear selection. The purpose of the
additional seventh gear is to reduce engine speed and torque gaps. New
SMG gearbox's speed up by 20 percent. With the seven-speed SMG gearbox,
gears can be changed using the gearshift lever on the centre console or
the paddles on the steering wheel. Compared to the previous SMG
transmission, changing gears is 20 percent faster with the new SMG
generation. Never before has it been quicker to change gears with a
transmission of this kind. The advantage for the M5 driver: Gear change
is smooth and accomplished at a speed impossible to reach even by the
most proficient driver, thus making the inevitable power flow
interruptions when changing gears hardly noticeable. The M5 delivers an
almost jerk-free performance when accelerating from a standstill to its
top speed. Drivelogic: the driver determines the SMG's characteristics
for changing gears. Thanks to the SMG's drivelogic function, the driver
can choose from eleven gear change options, which enable him to adapt
the SMG's characteristics to his very own style of motoring. Six of
these programs can be pre-selected in the sequential manual gearbox mode
(S mode), the spectrum ranging from balanced dynamic to very sporty.
With the gearbox in the S mode, the driver always shifts gears
manually. Whenever the driver activates the Launch Control function,
the SMG Drivelogic shifts gears shortly before the maximum engine speed
is reached at precisely the right moment and with optimum slip until
the M5 reaches its top speed. In the Drive (D mode) automatic gearshift
mode, the transmission shifts the seven gears automatically, depending
on the program selected, the driving situation, the road speed and the
position of the accelerator pedal. SMG for increased safety and
comfort. The seven-speed SMG gearbox not only supports the driver in
achieving motor sports performance, but also offers scores of safety
features. In critical situations, when the driver shifts down on a
slippery surface, for example, the gearbox opens the clutch in the
fraction of a second in order to prevent the M5 from swerving out of
control in the event of excessive drag torque at the driven wheels.
Further functions are the climbing, which prevents the car from rolling
backwards during hill starts as well as the hill detection, which
adjusts the shift points on gradients and descents. This prevents gear
hunting when going uphill. When driving downhill, the hill detection
holds the lower gears for longer in order to make effective use of the
engine?s braking power. Maximum driving pleasure. The interaction of
the V10 engine and the seven-speed SMG gearbox results in a level of
performance, which has so far been inconceivable for series-production
saloons. Above all, there is one thing the M5 gives to its driver:
driving pleasure at its best. Compared to the previous M5, the current
model comes up trumps in all performance and fun disciplines: it
accomplishes the 0 to 62 mph sprint in 4,7 seconds and reaches the 200
km/h (124 mph) mark after a mere 15 seconds to go on to the
electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph). A glance at the
speedometer reveals where this power package would head for if maximum
speed was not electronically limited: an awe-inspiring 330 km/h (205
mph). The Nürburgring serves as a test track. Compared to all
direct competitors, the interaction of actual forward thrust and a low
vehicle weight is a strong argument in favour of the new M5. Also in
this respect, the M5 sets the benchmark and leaves its competitors far
behind. An undisputed gauge of driving dynamics is the northern loop of
the legendary Nürburgring race track. For decades, the world's
most demanding race track has been the perfect place of separating the
wheat from the chaff. There is no other place where the interaction of
vehicle components when taken to the limits can be observed as well as
on the Nürburgring's northern loop. With lap times of
approximately eight minutes, the M5 can hold its own and is a worthy
competitor of thoroughbred sports cars, leaving its competitors far
behind. By the way: traditionally, all M vehicles are tested there. M
suspension based on the 5 Series: the icing on the cake. The
aforementioned lap time demonstrates that the M5 can be extremely
sporty. Although the suspension of the basic 5 Series model is
undoubtedly very good, such a record performance with respect to
dynamics would not be possible. This is why the M5 is also totally
unique with regard to its suspension. Many detail solutions and changes
turn the 5 Series into an M5. Consequently, the suspension and its
electronic assistants have been either exclusively developed for the
new M5, undergone extensive modifications or adapted to the special M
performance. For example, the M5?s running gear is by no means a
lowered 5 Series suspension. Instead, it is an optimised design created
from scratch. The suspension assisting systems, some of which have the
same name as those of the 5 Series, have been optimised for this
vehicle. On the one hand, this suspension contributes greatly to the M5
being the technological culmination of the successful BMW 5 Series. On
the other hand, it clearly demonstrates that the M5 is a unique model
with a distinctive appearance. Variable M differential lock. The M5
has a variable, torque-sensing differential lock bestowing the vehicle
with a high level of driving stability and optimum traction, above all
when accelerating out of bends. Even in extremely demanding driving
situations, i.e. when there are major differences in the coefficients
of friction at the driven wheels, it offers a decisive advantage in
terms of traction. A further advantage is that it instantly builds up
an increasing locking power if the speed difference between the driven
wheels rises, thus guaranteeing optimum forward progress at all times.
Only featured in the M5: DSC with two selectable driving dynamics
programs. A new generation of the Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) has
been especially developed for the M5. The DSC system can be deactivated
by pressing a button on the selector lever cover. The driving dynamics
programs are pre-selected in the so-called MDrive and can be called up
using the MDrive button on the steering wheel. Whilst the first DSC
mode by and large corresponds to that of the 5 Series, the second mode
- the M Dynamic Mode - is highly appreciated by sports-minded drivers.
EDC: the spectrum ranges from sportingly firm to comfortable. The M5?s
Electronic Damper Control (EDC) enables the driver to choose from three
programs (comfort, normal and sport), thereby adjusting the suspension
characteristics accordingly. The driver can operate the EDC function via
the MDrive button on the steering wheel or the push button next to the
SMG selector lever. Power button activates engine characteristics 'on
demand'. The driver often does not need the M5's full performance and
maximum agility, for example in city traffic. This is why the markedly
comfortable P400 performance program with an engine output of 400 bhp
is automatically activated whenever the engine is started. At the push
of a button (the so-called Power button on the selector lever cover),
the ten-cylinder powerplant's full power is at the driver's disposal.
The accelerator pedal kinematics adopt spontaneous characteristics,
giving free rein, in the P500 program, to the sporty driver and
eliciting, in the P500 sport program, uncompromising racing pleasure.
High-performance brakes derived from motor sport. To complement its
immense power output, the M5 is equipped with a generously sized
high-performance braking system with perforated, weight-optimised
compound brake discs. The aluminium twin-piston sliding callipers
(analogous to the BMW 7 Series), which have been optimised for minimum
weight and maximum stiffness, help the M5 to achieve stopping distances
similar to those of red-blooded sports cars: deceleration from 62 mph
to 0 is accomplished in under 36 metres, the braking distance from 124
mph to a standstill is less than 140 metres. The high-performance
business express. A wolf in sheep's clothing - this description would
fit if the basic 5 Series, and particularly the new M5, looked 'tame'
when viewed from outside. In fact, the 5 Series already looks sporty,
elegant and athletic. It is no coincidence that this 5 Series
represents BMW's dynamic business class. The M5 is set apart from the
basic model by a host of striking and hidden details, which further add
to its powerful, sporty and dynamic looks. An athlete in business attire
would be an apt description of the new M5. Exterior with
understatement. The differences in design versus the basic 5 Series are
discreet but consistent, giving the M5 a surprisingly high level of
uniqueness in terms of looks, without questioning the common genes with
the BMW model series. The modified front and rear aprons are instant
eye catchers. Another difference is the modified side sills and the
somewhat more prominent wheel arches. Traditionally, the M differs from
the 'normal' BMW in its exclusive exterior mirror design, the four
tailpipes, which have also become an unmistakable feature of all M
vehicles, and the exclusive wheel design. For the first time, the M5
sports very attractive gills which are incorporated into the front side
panel. An even sportier interior. The M5 comes with a leather interior
in three different colours, which makes it look even more sophisticated
than the lavishly equipped basic model or - for an extra price - with a
full leather interior, which looks absolutely stunning. Further
important differences versus the 5 Series are the instrument cluster,
the optional M-specific head-up display, the steering wheel with MDrive
buttons and the redesigned centre console. Business express for
everyday use. All vehicles made by BMW M GmbH are very convenient for
everyday motoring. This particularly applies to the M5: despite its
awe-inspiring performance which is reminiscent of that of a racing car,
it has remained an elegant and comfortable saloon perfectly suitable
for longer journeys, an integral characteristic of BMW 5 Series cars.
Thus, one can say that the M5's racing ambitions neither impair driving
comfort, active and passive safety, nor do they reduce the space
available for passengers and luggage. Even in terms of consumption and
environmental compatibility, the M5 is a real paragon - just like all
BMW automobiles.

Press Contact: Cindy Chia
Tel: +65-6838-9629
E-mail: cindy.chia@bmwasia.com

Press Kit,M5,Product,BMW M
