  <strong>Singapore.</strong> BMW Asia today announced the availability
  of the all-new BMW M235 xDrive Gran Coupé in Singapore. The second
  generation of the 4-door model, produced at BMW Group Plant Leipzig,
  now injects even greater emphasis on the hallmark BMW qualities of
  sportiness and elegance.  A clear increase in presence and dynamic
  performance in the design gives the all-new BMW M235 xDrive Gran Coupé
  a particularly extroverted appearance. An entirely renewed drive
  portfolio, extensively enhanced suspension technology, and innovative
  systems for automated driving and parking ensure unique driving pleasure.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>"The all-new BMW M235 xDrive Gran Coupé is a stunning machine
  that exudes power and performance, no matter how you look at it,” said
  Lars Nielsen, Managing Director, BMW Group Asia. “However, its looks
  are only the tip of the iceberg. Behind the wheel is where its racing
  DNA shines through with its precise cornering capabilities, powerful
  brakes and rich engine sound. I am confident it will be love at first
  sight for our BMW M fans in Singapore.”</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The progressive character of the all-new BMW M235 xDrive Gran Coupé
  is also evident in its use of digitalisation. The user experience in
  the redesigned interior is defined by the new BMW iDrive with
  QuickSelect and a wide range of digital services and in-car gaming
  based on BMW Operating System 9.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
  <strong>Sporty elegance in the hallmark style of the BMW brand.</strong></p>
<p>The exterior design of the all-new BMW M235 xDrive Gran Coupé is
  defined by an expressive front section, a dynamically elongated
  silhouette, and a powerfully designed rear. This conveys even more
  clearly the sporty elegance that is so characteristic of a BMW Gran Coupé.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The wide BMW radiator grille positioned below the headlights
  featuring an innovative structure of vertical and diagonal bars inside
  and the large lower air inlet give the all-new BMW M235 xDrive Gran
  Coupé a low-slung, road-hugging appearance. The standard Adaptive LED
  headlights come with glare-free matrix high beam, cornering light
  function, and blue accentuations.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The side view is defined by the long bonnet, short overhangs, and a
  gently flowing roofline. A pronounced indentation in the transition to
  the rear emphasises the athletically shaped shoulder section. At the
  rear of the elegantly elongated side window graphic, a discreetly
  embossed number 2 highlights the characteristic Hofmeister kink. The
  rear derives its powerful, modern appearance from an especially ample
  surface structure broken up by just a few lines and flat lights with a
  striking notch. Further accentuations for refined dynamic performance
  are provided by the M Sport package Pro.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The range of exterior finishes includes one solid and ten metallic
  finishes, of which four are BMW Individual finishes. A contrasting
  high-gloss black finish for the roof is also optional.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The all-new edition of the BMW M235 xDrive Gran Coupé has been
  increased in length by 20 millimetres to 4,546 millimetres, while the
  wheelbase measures 2,670 millimetres. The width of the vehicle is
  1,800 millimetres, and the height has been increased by 25 millimetres
  to 1,445 millimetres.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
  <strong>Leather-free interior in a high-class premium ambience.</strong></p>
<p>The newly designed interior of the all-new BMW M235 xDrive Gran Coupé
  is entirely leather-free as standard. The M Veganza/Alcantara trim or
  Veganza perforated in Coral Red/Black are available as an standard,
  combined with hand-sewn contrasting seams for the instrument panel.
  The dynamically backlit interior trims made of milled aluminium
  likewise contribute to the car’s refined and athletic premium
  ambience. BMW Curved Display and the newly designed gear selector
  underline the progressive character of the interior.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Newly designed seats provide a high level of comfort on long
  journeys, with electrically operated M Sport seats as standard. The
  standard sports steering wheel has also been redesigned. This is part
  of the M Sport package and features shift paddles for manual gear
  changes and a 12 O’clock red-centre marker. An interaction airbag
  between the driver and front passenger now contributes to optimised
  occupant protection as standard. The rear seat backrest offers a
  40: 20: 40 split as standard, while the storage volume is 430 litres.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
  <strong>Top model with racing DNA and outstanding performance.</strong></p>
<p>The all-new BMW M235 xDrive Gran Coupé is at the top of the model
  range and features significantly enhanced performance characteristics.
  Powered by a 300 hp 4-cylinder engine, the BMW M performance
  automobile accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
  <strong>M Sport Package with adaptive M suspension and sport steering.</strong></p>
<p>A standard feature of the all-new BMW M235 xDrive Gran Coupé offered
  as part of the optional M Sport package for all other model variants,
  the adaptive M suspension enhances both agility and long-distance
  comfort by means of variable, mechanically controlled, and
  frequency-selective shock absorbers. Pressure peaks within the shock
  absorbers are smoothed out by means of additional valves acting on the
  traction side. With the Adaptive M suspension, the vehicle is lowered
  by up to 8 millimetres and includes sports steering.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
  <strong>Improved body rigidity, further developed chassis.</strong></p>
<p>The increased rigidity of the body structure and chassis connections
  helps the all-new BMW M235 xDrive Gran Coupé achieve improved agility,
  steering precision, and cornering dynamics. The further refinement of
  the chassis includes optimised kinematics and new shock absorber
  technology. The increased caster offset of the front wheels ensures
  stable straight-line driving and optimised steering feedback. Standard
  features also include directly controlled wheel slip limitation, an
  integrated braking system, and 19-inch M light alloy wheels.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
  <strong>Modern systems for partially automated driving and parking.</strong></p>
<p>The standard and optional driver assistance systems available for the
  all-new BMW M235 xDrive Gran Coupé set standards among the competition
  in terms of functional range and reliability. Standard features
  include the Driving Assistant with front collision warning, Lane
  Departure Warning, exit warning and Speed Limit Info, as well as the
  Parking Assistant with Reversing Assistant.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
  <strong>Extensive standard equipment and high-quality options.</strong></p>
<p>The significantly expanded range of standard equipment for the
  all-new BMW M235 xDrive Gran Coupé also includes BMW Live Cockpit Plus
  featuring the cloud-based navigation system BMW Maps. New optional
  equipment packages allow for targeted customisation. For example, the
  Equipment Package Professional includes BMW Live Cockpit Professional
  with BMW Head-Up Display and Augmented View on the Control Display, as
  well as Parking Assistant Plus with 360⁰ surround view.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
  <strong>BMW iDrive with QuickSelect and BMW Digital Premium.</strong></p>
<p>The BMW iDrive based on BMW Operating System 9 is available in the
  all-new BMW M235 xDrive Gran Coupé for intuitive and convenient
  operation of vehicle functions. QuickSelect enables all the main
  vehicle functions to be accessed directly without having to switch to
  a submenu. This means that the cockpit of the all-new BMW M235 xDrive
  Gran Coupé is consistently designed for multimodal operation using
  touch functions, voice control and multifunction buttons on the
  steering wheel.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Meanwhile the BMW ConnectedDrive upgrades enable customers to add
  selected vehicle functions for a specific period of time. The new BMW
  Digital Premium is also available for the all-new BMW M235 xDrive Gran
  Coupé from the BMW ConnectedDrive Store. This offers country-specific
  entertainment services such as music and video streaming, news, and gaming.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Remote software upgrades allow free quality enhancements and
  additional functions to be downloaded to the vehicle “over the air”.
  Smartphone integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is
  available as standard. With BMW ID and My BMW app, users can
  personalise their user experience, while with the optional BMW Digital
  Key Plus, compatible smartphones and smart watches can take on the
  function of the vehicle key.</p>

<p> </p>
<p>
  <strong>The BMW M235i Coupé. </strong></p>
<p>
  <strong>An embodiment of intense driving pleasure. </strong></p>
<p> </p>
<p>
  <strong>Singapore. </strong>BMW Asia is set to unveil BMW M235i Coupé
  on February 28, 2014.The BMW M235i Coupé is a high-performance model
  in the premium compact segment, propelled by the most powerful petrol
  engine developed so far for a BMW M Performance Automobile vehicle.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Powered by a six-cylinder in-line engine with BMW M Performance
  TwinPower Turbo technology, the BMW M235i Coupé comes with a maximum
  power output of 326hp and maximum torque of 450Nm, with the ability to
  sprint from 0-100km/h in 4.8 seconds.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The new ‘2’ badge designation offers a clear distinction between the
  BMW M235i Coupé and the BMW M135i Hatch. Further, the vehicle concept
  of the BMW M235i Coupé offers handling properties that are defined by
  impressive agility and precision, which is the result of extensive
  modifications made by BMW M GmbH engineers to the components involved
  in maximising the car’s sporting ability.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>“The BMW M235i Coupé is the newest addition to the BMW M Performance
  Automobiles range that was first introduced in Singapore in late 2012.
  This new range of cars is positioned between the regular BMW vehicles
  and the motorsport-inspired BMW M cars, and is targeted at sporty
  drivers with the preference for more driving pleasure without
  compromising on everyday usability,” said Mr Sethipong Anutarasoti,
  Corporate Affairs Director of BMW Group Asia.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
  <strong>Addictive Power: Six-cylinder in-line engine with M
    Performance TwinPower Turbo technology. </strong></p>
<p>The straight-six engine powering the BMW M235i Coupé benefits from
  the latest development stage in M Performance TwinPower Turbo
  technology and specific modifications to the cooling system, power
  management and sound tuning.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>A twin-scroll turbocharger, High Precision Direct Injection with
  centrally positioned multi-hole injectors, VALVETRONIC variable valve
  timing and Double-VANOS variable camshaft control team up to ensure
  instantaneous power delivery and the free-revving characteristics
  typical of the brand – not to mention exceptional efficiency for this
  output class.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The engine generates maximum output of 326 hp from its 3.0-litre
  displacement, while peak torque of 450 Nm between 1,300 and 4,500 rpm
  gives the engine its imposing pulling power.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
  <strong>High-Performance: Sport automatic with Launch Control. </strong></p>
<p>The BMW M235i Coupé comes equipped with a Sport automatic gearbox,
  which uses ultra-fast gear changes to underline its dynamic character.
  This gearbox variant likewise comes with gearshift paddles on the
  steering wheel and a Launch Control function, which enables
  traction-optimised, dynamically maximised acceleration off the line.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The standard-fitted Driving Experience Control switch on the centre
  console allows the car’s set-up to be adjusted at the touch of a
  button through COMFORT, SPORT and ECO PRO settings. SPORT+ mode is
  also available. The Driving Experience Control switch can also be used
  to modify the car’s accelerator mapping and steering characteristics
  as well as – depending on specification – the responses of the
  automatic gearbox and dampers.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>In ECO PRO mode the car encourages a particularly relaxed as well as
  frugal driving style. And BMW M235i Coupé drivers also reap the
  benefits of the latest addition to the fuel-saving arsenal – the
  coasting function, available in conjunction with an automatic gearbox.
  At speeds between 50 and 160 km/h, the powertrain is disengaged as
  soon as the driver takes his or her foot off the accelerator.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
  <strong>Bespoke chassis tuning for maximum precision. </strong></p>
<p>In order to translate this outstanding engine power into dynamic
  performance with an equal measure of excitement and authority, the BMW
  M235i Coupé features model-specific chassis technology. This includes
  individually configured spring and damper systems, and specific
  elastokinematics for the front axle. Added to which, the BMW M235i
  Coupé comes as standard with the M Sport braking system and variable
  sport steering, which determines its own characteristics. The
  standard, exclusive 18-inch M light-alloy wheels of the BMW M235i
  Coupé are fitted with 18-inch M light alloy wheels with mixed tyres.
  The specially developed high-grip tyres guarantee optimum transfer of
  acceleration and braking forces to the road surface.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
  <strong>Exclusively for BMW M235i Coupé : BMW M Performance
    limited-slip differential. </strong></p>
<p>Another performance product offered exclusively for the BMW M235i
  Coupé to enhance its dynamic potential is the BMW M Performance
  limited-slip differential. This mechanical rear axle differential
  system optimises traction in suitably dynamic driving situations.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>When the DSC stability system is switched off, this torque-sensitive
  limited-slip differential ensures drive is split between the rear
  wheels to optimum traction-maximising effect. Reacting to differing
  torque between the driven wheels, it reduces slip at the wheel with
  low grip by channelling surplus drive to the other wheel through a
  locking effect.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>This controlled drive distribution leads to optimised traction and
  allows for even more dynamic handling at the limit. Engine power is
  translated into propulsion as effectively as possible to provide even
  more dynamic acceleration out of corners, for example.</p>
<p>The BMW M Performance limited-slip differential will be available for
  the BMW M235i Coupé later this year.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
  <strong>Optimised aerodynamics, high-quality sports car ambience. </strong></p>
<p>Like its chassis technology, the aerodynamic properties of the BMW
  M235i Coupé have also been tweaked to take into account the output of
  its six-cylinder engine. The front apron of the two-door car bears the
  hallmarks of M design, while its large air intakes with flaps adapted
  from racing car design occupy the space reserved for foglamps in the
  regular BMW 2 Series Coupé model. In the now customary style for BMW M
  Performance Automobiles, they are transected by horizontal crosspieces
  in Ferric Grey metallic.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Other features of the exterior design are BMW Individual High-gloss
  Shadow Line trim, exterior mirror caps in Ferric Grey, particularly
  striking contoured side skirts and a rear apron whose lower section is
  finished in Dark Shadow metallic paintwork and also incorporates the
  exhaust system’s twin tailpipes. The package of aerodynamically
  optimised body features is rounded off by the standard-specification
  gurney on the boot lid.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The car also features door sill strips with aluminium inserts bearing
  “M235i” lettering and a specially “tuned” interior design. It offers
  sports seats for the driver and front passenger, an M leather steering
  wheel with multifunction buttons, a BMW Individual roof liner in
  Anthracite, Aluminium Hexagon interior trim with accent strips in matt
  Estoril Blue or high-gloss black, handbrake lever gaiter, , a special
  instrument cluster with digital model designation together with red
  dials and numbers for the speedometer and rev counter, as well as
  variable use of colour for the interior lighting and blue detailing
  for the car key.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
  <strong>Extensive standard specification and equipment for more
    driving enjoyment. </strong></p>
<p>The BMW M235i Coupé comes standard with an extensive standard
  specification and wide range of optional extras. The standard
  equipment list now includes, Sport seats for driver and front
  passenger, Sport automatic transmission, variable sport steering,
  Adaptive M suspension, M Sport brake, 18-inch M light alloy wheels,
  Park Distance Control (front and rear), Harman KardonHiFi loudspeaker
  system and Navigation system Professional.</p>
<p>The BMW M235i Coupé is available for viewing at Munich Automobiles’ showroom.</p>
