The new BMW C 400 GT

Modern and future-oriented looks of new BMW C 400 GT reflect the BMW Motorrad design philosophy perfectly. The mid-size scooter is designed for excellent comfort, dynamic performance, and elegant design. The front headlight with full LED technology stands out with daytime riding lights as standard, creating an iconic front end. With its new, adjustable windscreen, you can now defy the wind and rain even better. The electromotive throttle controller – Ride by Wire – ensures that the throttle response is masterly and finely tuned. Keyless Ride as standard means you can just climb on and set off.

The BMW C 400 GT's ground accessibility has been optimised to provide even greater comfort and improved ergonomics, the seat height is reduced by one centimeter from 765 to 775 mm. In addition to the basic Blackstorm metallic version with black seat, black rims and black brake calipers at the front, the BMW C 400 GT is also available in the new “Exclusive” model variant. In this variant, the BMW C 400 GT in the body color Diamond white metallic looks decidedly elegant and exclusive. Golden rims, tapes and a black seat bench with embroidered emblem in the rim color complement the golden brake calipers at the front and a slightly tinted windshield. A floor lighting with a BMW logo projection and stainless-steel footboard inserts round off the scope of this optional equipment variant.

The new BMW C 400 GT is fitted with a water-cooled single cylinder 4 stroke engine with a displacement of 350 cc. It generates a peak output of 34 hp (25 kW) at 7500 rpm and a maximum torque of 35 Nm at 5750 rpm to deliver supreme level of engine power. Power is transmitted via a continuously variable CVT transmission and a powerset swing arm with high torsional rigidity. Thanks to the latest EU-5+ homologation, the new BMW C 400 GT remain ideal partners for dynamic, carefree scooter fun.

The new BMW C 400 GT is equipped with BMW Motorrad ABS Pro as standard. Thanks to ABS-assisted braking at a lean angle, it offers more safety even when braking in a corner. In addition, the Dynamic Brake Control (DBC) function linked to the ABS Pro offers a very sensitive response and high braking and driving stability with the best possible deceleration even when cornering. Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) and Engine Drag Torque Control (MSR) are also already on board as standard.

The new BMW C 400 GT now comes with a large 10.25-inch TFT display as standard with Connectivity Pro. The variety of information, display quality and, last but not least, user friendliness are unmatched. As part of the Connectivity Pro, the BMW C 400 GT receives a charging cradle in the left storage compartment to click in and charge the smartphone. Additional charging options are still available via 12 volt and USB ports. What is new is the switch from USB-A to USB-C.

The storage space has been significantly increased; the right storage compartment now has an impressive volume of 4.5 litres. By redesigning the seat tub and seat shell as well as relocating the control unit and underseat lighting it was possible to increase the storage capacity under the seat to 37.6 litres.

Gurgaon. BMW Motorrad India has launched the all-new BMW CE 02 in the country. This all-electric model is available at BMW Motorrad India dealerships from today onwards.

The all-new BMW CE 02 has been developed in Munich, Germany by BMW Motorrad and will be produced in Hosur, India by cooperation partner TVS Motor Company.

The all-new BMW CE 02

The all-new BMW CE 02 is nimble, practical, robust and reduced to essentials in terms of design. It expresses freedom and light-heartedness - similar to a skateboard, which is deliberately reflected in the design of the seat. The disc wheels are designed to emphasise the proportions. The LED technology for lights and indicators is a design highlight. Cosmic Black as the basic colour and granite grey metallic matt for the motor cover offer just as exciting a contrast as the interplay of matt and high-gloss surfaces. At the same time, the reduced design offers plenty of scope for your own design options.

Thanks to its low weight of only 142 kg and the low seat height of only 745 mm, the all-new CE 02 is also characterised by its playful, city-suitable handling. As far as the chassis is concerned the BMW CE 02 relies on a torsionally rigid double-loop frame made of tubular steel. Hydraulically damped telescopic forks operate at the front, while a single-sided swingarm and a directly pivoted shock absorber are used at the rear. Wide tyres are mounted on cast light aluminum wheels in disc wheel design and disc brakes ensure safe deceleration at the front and rear. BMW Motorrad ABS is featured at the front. Adjustable hand levers allow you to adapt hand reach to meet your personal preferences. The footrests allow the rider two leg positions in solo mode: relaxed on the rider footrests or sporty-dynamic on the pillion footrests.

With the special HIGHLINE package, the all-new CE 02 puts in an extroverted and colourful appearance. Forks anodised in gold and tape designs in combination with Petrol as a contrasting colour make the CE 02 look dynamic and future-oriented even when standing still. Bluetooth interface, SP Connect smartphone holder, Additional Flash riding mode, 1.5 kW quick charger and heated grips are your smart companions.

The all-new BMW CE 02 is powered by a, current excited synchronous motor. Power is supplied by two air-cooled lithium-ion batteries with an operating voltage of 48 V and  total energy content of  3.9 kWh. The all-new BMW CE 02 has a maximum power output of 11 kW offering a dynamic riding experience. With a top speed of 95 km/h, progress is speedy on expressways and a range of 108 kms (according to ICAT) allows for extended urban adventures. The powerful drive which generates a torque of 55 Nm from standstill, enables the all-new CE 02 to accelerate from 0 - 50 km/h in 3 seconds.

The all-new BMW CE 02 comes as standard with a 0.9 kW external charger which enables charging processes to be carried out quickly and conveniently at standard household sockets. It's even faster where 20%-80% SoC can be achieved in only 102 mins with the 1.5 kW quick charger available in the HIGHLINE package as optional equipment or can be bought as an accessory. 

The all-new CE 02 comes with the "Flow" and "Surf" riding modes as standard. "Flow" offers the optimal set-up for cruising along in urban traffic, while "Surf" provides a dynamic riding experience beyond the bustling city traffic. The "Flash" driving mode is also available as a sporty and dynamic addition as part of the HIGHLINE package.

An easy-to-read 3.5” micro TFT display informs the rider about riding speed, battery charge status and much more. A USB-C charging socket also allows you to supply a smartphone with power. Using the BMW Motorrad Connected app you can see how the smartphone shows the predicted end of charging thanks to networking via Bluetooth. In the HIGHLINE variant, the cradle mode allows the BMW Motorrad app in the smartphone (held in a smartphone holder) to be controlled safely as an additional display using the keypad on the handlebar. With the electric reverse gear, the rider can manoeuvre with ease, even when space gets tight. With Keyless Ride, you simply jump on and off you go. To maintain mobility and flexibility for the rider, the CE 02 offers a special power-saving mode which notifies and supports the riders when the charge level is critical.

BMW Motorrad Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) on the front wheel adds additional active safety. In addition to Automatic Stability Control (ASC), Recuperation Stability Control (RSC) specifically reduces the drag torque in overrun mode to keep the vehicle stable.

The urban electric scooter will be available as a Completely Built-up Unit (CBU) in select metropolitan cities in India. Deliveries will commence from September 2024.

The new BMW CE 04.

The design of BMW CE 04 combines functionality and clear aesthetics with digital reality. The shape is dominated by large, calm surfaces, contrasted by sharp edges. The long, stretched form envelops the slim energy storage unit in the underfloor assembly and the compact drivetrain. The front end is excitingly broken up while the rear end reveals technological components, a typical feature of motorcycles. Powerful LED lighting all round increases safety. The floating seat underscores visual lightness. Side design is practical too, for instance, the charging compartment and helmet storage unit fold out towards the side. Trend-setting 15“ standard wheels have a disc-like look and the side stand seamlessly blends in the styling. The low center of gravity represents a further benefit: fun handling, surprising dynamism and timeless riding pleasure.

Two striking colour concepts convey the modern and unmistakable design of BMW CE 04. The base variant is available in Light White and the optional Avantgarde style in Imperial blue metallic colour. The use of bright orange in seat of Style Avantgarde and the tinted wind shield creates an interesting contrast.

BMW CE 04’s innovative electric drive with liquid-cooled electric motor delivers a maximum output of 42 hp (31 kW). The permanent magnet electric motor is mounted in the frame between the battery and the rear wheel, similar to BMW cars. For the classic ‘traffic light starts’ from 0 to 50 km/hr, it gives instant acceleration in just 2.6 seconds. The maximum speed is 120 km/hr for speedy progress not just in the city but on main roads and motorway sections, too.

The lithium-ion battery with net capacity of 8.5 kWh provides abundant range of 130 kms and energy consumption of 7.7 kWh/100 kms. BMW CE 04 will come with a complimentary 2.3 kW home charger which takes 3 hrs 30 mins for 0 – 80% charge. An optional BMW Wallbox charger is also available.

Directionally stable suspension with one-piece tubular steel main frame provides smooth handling and a high level of ride comfort. At the front, the double disc brake is designed for reliable deceleration, assisted by the single disc brake at the rear. BMW Motorrad Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) adds additional active safety. Just as with conventionally powered BMW Motorrad models, the BMW CE 04 also comes with Automatic Stability Control (ASC). The new BMW CE 04 features three riding modes ECO, Rain and Road.

The multifunctional instrument cluster comes with a 10.25-inch TFT color split screen with Bluetooth connectivity. The smartphone stays safe in the watertight and ventilated storage compartment and can be charged at the same time using a 12-volt port.

With the optional ‘Comfort Package’, riders can add Heated Grips and Backrest Comfort Seat. The optional ‘Dynamic Package’ offers Riding Modes Pro, Headlight Pro, ABS Pro, Adaptive Headlights and Daytime Riding Light.
