The all-new BMW R 1300 GS Adventure

The all-new BMW R 1300 GS Adventure comes with a completely new
design that sets it apart from its sister model, the
R 1300 GS. The design with the new flyline follows the idea of
demonstrating extreme robustness and versatility right from the start,
without adding unnecessary complexity, but instead, intelligently
combining materiality and functionality. A key component of the outer
skin in the central bodywork area is the 30-liter aluminium fuel tank,
which is largely uncovered. High-quality highlights include recessed
BMW emblems and embossed GS lettering on both sides, while two visible
welding seams in the seat area demonstrate the technology and
manufacturing precision. The sheer width of the tank inspires
confidence and provides effective frontal weather protection.
Functional, narrow side surfaces integrate the rider perfectly and
offer the best possible ergonomic conditions even off-road.

Effective wind and weather protection is provided by the large
adjustable windshield in combination with two large transparent wind
deflectors (cockpit panels), making for a uniquely quiet and
comfortable ride, even on long journeys. The optional electric
windshield adjustment allows the windshield to be adjusted to the
rider's personal preference with millimetre precision from comfort of
the handlebars. The standard hand protectors with extensions and
integrated turning indicators provide maximum protection. Rubberised
tank trays to the left and right of the upper tank covers provide
non-slip, secure storage.

The all-new BMW R 1300 GS Adventure offers a very attractive full LED
headlamp with a novel, distinctive light icon as standard. The light
unit consists of one LED unit for low and high beam along with four
additional LED units for the daytime running light and the side light.
The new R 1300 GS Adventure also features two extra-flat auxiliary
headlamps with LED technology that blend harmoniously into the
bodywork. This combination illuminates the road with unprecedented
clarity, thereby ensuring even better perception in traffic. With the
standard ‘Headlight Pro’, beam of the matrix full LED headlamp turns
into the bend according to the lean angle.

In basic version, the all-new BMW R 1300 GS Adventure leaves no doubt
about its purpose. Finished in solid Racing Red, it has an athletic,
well-trained look that invites you to embark on dedicated motorcycling
adventures. The silver-coloured tank and the black and red seats for
rider and passenger provide a striking contrast. This colour scheme is
harmoniously complemented by black handlebars, black rims and red hand
protector extensions.

The Triple Black style of the all-new R 1300 GS
Adventure shows its elegant side. Accents in perfectly coordinated
shades of black and aluminium fuel tank finished in high-quality
Tinted Clear Coat are the hallmarks of this exceptional character. The
appearance of muted, elegant surfaces makes the world-tourer enduro an
eye-catcher. The standard engine protector is black with silver
inserts. Black handlebars, black wheel rims and grey hand protector
extensions are the traditional Triple Black colours, as well as the
large aluminium radiator cowls with holders for the radiator cowl
bags. This model also features two black/grey comfort seats with seat
heating, a luggage holder and adjustable windshield with wind deflectors.

The GS Trophy style is focused on off-road
capability and features a sporty colour scheme. Racing Blue metallic
paintwork is complemented by eye-catching solid Light White and solid
Racing Red stripes. Textured powder-coated parts in Avus black
metallic matt create exciting contrasts with the aluminium parts. The
red and black rider's seat on this model variant creates the effect of
a continuous bench seat with the sporty, two-tone passenger seat and
matches the red protector extensions. Black insert in the stainless
steel engine protector creates an attractive interplay of colours with
Gold cross-spoke wheels. Black grilles in front of the radiators and
auxiliary headlamps provide effective stone guard protection. The
sport windshield and sport grab handles for the passenger further
emphasise GS Trophy's sporty character. Large radiator cowls with
mounts for radiator cowl bags and aluminium tank trays also form
robust docking elements for exploring the world.

Option 719 Karakorum style is finished in an
exclusive Aurelius Green metallic matt colour, giving it a decidedly
elegant look. Gold-coloured lines and shadow milled parts package
complete the high-quality appearance, as does the ‘Opt. 719’ badge on
the tank cover. The gold anodised rims and handlebars are particularly
eye-catching. The standard engine protector is coated black with
silver-coloured inserts and hand protector extensions are grey. In
addition to the small aluminium radiator cowls and protective grille
on auxiliary headlights, this style also includes two comfort seats in
black with seat heating, a luggage rack and adjustable windshield.

The legendary twin-cylinder boxer engine is once
again at the heart of the all-new R 1300 GS Adventure. It features the
most powerful BMW boxer engine ever to be produced in series. The new
design, first introduced on the R 1300 GS, is much more compact than
its predecessor, thanks to a transmission located under the engine and
a new arrangement of camshaft drive. It generates 107 kW (145 hp) from
1,300 cc at 7,750 rpm. Maximum torque is 149 Nm at 6,500 rpm.

At the center of the new suspension is the sheet
metal shell main frame made of steel, which in addition to being
significantly optimised in terms of installation space also offers
higher levels of stiffness. The all-new BMW R 1300 GS Adventure now
has an aluminium lattice tube rear frame. The EVO
Telelever front wheel guide with flex element and the revised
EVO Paralever rear wheel guide also provide greater
steering precision and riding stability. With the Automated
Shift Assistant (ASA), available as an option only with GS
Trophy & Option 719 variant, riders will enjoy the absolute
convenience of automated clutch operation which makes riding even more enjoyable.

The all-new BMW R 1300 GS Adventure has four riding
modes to suit individual rider preferences. The ‘Rain’ and
‘Road’ riding modes allow riding characteristics to be adapted to most
road conditions. The ‘Eco’ riding mode also makes it possible to use
the innovative BMW ShiftCam technology primarily in such a way that
the maximum range can be achieved with a single tank of fuel. The
riding mode ‘Enduro’ enables an enhanced riding experience off the
beaten track with a specific set-up for off-road use. The all-new BMW
R 1300 GS Adventure now comes with standard Dynamic Suspension
Adjustment (DSA), Shift Assistant Pro, Riding Modes Pro, sport brake
as a part of the Dynamic Package. Riding
Modes Pro comprises of three additional riding modes
‘Dynamic’, ‘Dynamic Pro’ and ‘Enduro Pro’.

Engine drag torque control (MSR) is also available as
standard, that can be used to safely avoid unstable riding conditions
that can occur during coasting or downshifting due to excessive brake
slip at the rear wheel. Hill start control
(HSC) Pro is fitted as standard and enables
convenient hill starts, even when carrying two people and luggage. The
motorcycle comes as standard with a twin disc brake featuring two
newly developed, radially mounted four-piston fixed calipers at the
front and a single disc brake with two-piston floating calliper at the
rear in conjunction with BMW Motorrad Full Integral ABS
Pro. The standard Dynamic Brake Control
(DBC) offers increased safety when braking, also in difficult
situations, by preventing unintentional throttle application.

The all-new BMW R 1300 GS Adventure has the equipment feature
Connectivity as standard, including a 6.5-inch full-colour TFT
screen. In conjunction with the standard BMW Motorrad
Multi-Controller with integrated operation, it gives the rider fast

including high windshield high, cockpit trim and wind deflector,
passenger kit including comfort passenger seat, comfort passenger rest
and luggage carrier. Touring package includes central
locking, preparation for navigation, chrome-plated manifold, left and
right case holder, hand protector extension and the topcase holder.

additional 12 V on-board power socket as standard. Other standard list
of features include hand protectors with integrated turn indicators, M

and convenient motorcycling. Active Cruise Control
(ACC) with integrated distance control can be used to set the

The all-new BMW R 1300 GS.

The all-new BMW R 1300 GS features an entirely new
design which is based on the traditional GS icons while at
the same time reflecting extreme compactness and significant weight
reduction. With its significantly flatter tank ramp, the flyline is
largely responsible for the very dynamic, light and accessible
appearance of this motorcycle. Continuing on through the upholstered
centre cover over the aluminium fuel tank, the seat gives the GS a
typically enduro-style silhouette. A striking break with tradition in
terms of design are the new LED Matrix Headlights.
The integration of high beam and low beam in a single projector unit
results in a redesign of the iconic face of the GS headlamp. With
“Headlight Pro” available in all option Styles, the
beam of the matrix full LED headlamp turns into the bend according to
the banking position.

The all-new BMW R 1300 GS perfectly embodies what the BMW Motorrad
development team has endowed the GS legend with: compact arrangement
of the components, high functionality of the equipment – and
everything focused on the essentials. In Lightwhite solid paint and in
conjunction with its sharply drawn lines and very clean appearance,
the all-new R 1300 GS has a truly muscular appearance and embodies the
boxer GS theme in pristine style. The compact and low front end,
together with the adjustable windshield and wide handlebars, provide
an excellent overview, while the redefined GS ergonomics offer a
confident, relaxed riding position. A sporty, slimline passenger seat,
in combination with the functional sports grab handle bridge,
emphasises the steeply rising and short rear end and at the same time
offers good seating comfort for the passenger. In the basic version,
the standard rider’s seat has a seat height of 850 mm and is fitted
with a two-tone cover that forms a continuous functional unit in light
grey texture extending from the fuel filler cap to the passenger seat.
Together with the main frame coated in Gold, the new cross spoke
wheels delineate the lower section of the motorcycle against the light
front body section, thereby highlighting its powerful appearance.

The Optional Style Triple Black gives the all-new
BMW R 1300 GS an even more masculine attitude The rear frame is
likewise finished in black, as are most of the other surfaces. Also
finished in black, the luggage carrier included in the Triple Black
model variant is perfectly integrated in these shapes. In addition,
the Style Triple Black has Comfort seats, Comfort passenger footrests
and a centre stand. The electrically adjustable high windshield also
comes with this style in combination with the cockpit trim and the
wind deflectors with the new cross spoke wheels in Black. Optional
Adaptive Height Control can be ordered only with
Style Triple Black.

The optional Style GS Trophy sets the tone with
basic finish Racing blue metallic sets. With red and white tapes and
inscriptions combined with a rear frame in white metallic matt, the GS
Trophy stands for the highest level of performance and sporty use
off-road. The high rider’s comfort seat in combination with the Sport
passenger seat offers the look and ergonomics of a rally seat, which
in conjunction with the seat cover continued on the fuel tank cover
forms a unit that can be used along its entire length. In the spirit
of outstanding off-road competence, this optional style is equipped
with radiator guards for damage protection. The robust cross-spoke
wheels in gold also belong to the range of off-road-oriented fittings.

The all-new BMW R 1300 GS shows its exclusive and technically
sophisticated side in the Option 719 Tramuntana. This
combines cross-spoke wheels in gold with black components such as the
main and rear frames, powertrain and the luggage carrier with grab
handle. The gold anodised handlebar provides the perfect accentuation
to match the gold-coloured lining on the body components and the gold
rim bands. The side trim sections and the front wheel cover at the top
are finished in Aurelius Green metallic, while the aluminium tank and
intake silencer cover are likewise finished in Aurelius Green metallic
but with a matt clear coating. The fuel tank centre cover in Luxor
black/grey and the cylinder head covers in Avus black metallic matt
blend in harmoniously with this.

The centrepiece of the all-new BMW R 1300 GS is once again the
legendary two-cylinder boxer engine. Its new design
is more compact than ever before thanks to a gearbox located under the
engine and a new camshaft drive arrangement. This is by far the most
powerful BMW boxer engine ever to be produced in series, producing an
output of 107 kW (145 hp) at 7750 rpm, developing a maximum torque of
149 Nm at 6500 rpm. The boxer engine of the new BMW R 1300 GS is also
equipped with the unique BMW ShiftCam technology for
varying the valve timing and valve stroke on the intake side.

The entire suspension of the all-new BMW R 1300 GS
was redesigned. The centrepiece is the new sheet metal main frame made
of steel, which in addition to a significant optimisation of the
installation space for even more compact packaging also offers higher
levels of stiffness than the predecessor model. The motorcycle
features new front wheel guide EVO Telelever with
flex element and new rear wheel guide EVO Paralever
for even greater steering precision and ride stability.

The all-new BMW R 1300 GS now comes with standard Dynamic Suspension
Adjustment (DSA), Shift Assistant Pro, Riding Modes Pro, sport brake
as a part of the Dynamic Package. Riding
Modes Pro” comprises of three additional riding modes
“Dynamic”, “Dynamic Pro” and “Enduro Pro” in addition to The
“Rain” and “Road” riding modes which
allow riding characteristics to be adapted to most road conditions And
“Eco” riding mode which makes it possible to use the
innovative BMW ShiftCam technology primarily in such a way that the
maximum range can be achieved with a single tank of fuel. The riding
mode “Enduro” enables an enhanced riding experience
off the beaten track with a specific set-up for off-road use.

Engine drag torque control (MSR) is also available as
standard, that can be used to safely avoid unstable riding conditions
that can occur during coasting or downshifting due to excessive brake
slip at the rear wheel. Hill start control (HSC) Pro
is fitted as standard and enables convenient hill starts, even when
carrying two people and luggage. The motorcycle comes as standard with
a twin disc brake featuring two newly developed, radially mounted
four-piston fixed calipers at the front and a single disc brake with
two-piston floating calliper at the rear in conjunction with
BMW Motorrad Full Integral ABS Pro. The standard
Dynamic Brake Control (DBC) offers increased safety
when braking, also in difficult situations, by preventing
unintentional throttle application.

The all-new BMW R 1300 GS has the equipment feature Connectivity as
standard, including a 6.5-inch full-colour TFT
screen. In conjunction with the standard BMW Motorrad

The BMW R nineT Scrambler.

(Short version).

The new BMW R nineT Scrambler – a down-to-earth character
beyond established conventions.

They were ridden by action heroes on the screen and scores of hobby
racers entered mountain and beach races on them: the Scramblers. With
deep treaded tyres, a raised exhaust, somewhat extended spring travel
and a relaxed seating position, Scramblers offered their riders in the
1950s to 1970s not just motorcycling fun on winding country roads but
also great off-road capability and therefore an extended range of use.
Like the motorcycles themselves, the people who rode Scramblers were
not bound by established conventions. And they could be seen virtually
everywhere: on winding country roads, stony mountain passes and -
where it was allowed - even on sandy beaches.

The history of BMW Motorrad is also rooted in the Scrambler concept.
In 1951, the BMW R 68 was presented at the International Bicycle and
Motorcycle Fair IFMA in Frankfurt with a typical raised 2-in-1
exhaust, just like the one used for racing by BMW Motorrad legend
Georg "Schorsch" Meier. While the standard version of the R
68 had a conventional exhaust installed in a lower position, the
raised exhaust version was already available back then as a BMW
Motorrad accessory. To this day, some owners of this highly valuable
post-war BMW Motorrad classic still like to retrofit the special
Scrambler-style exhaust.

Now BMW Motorrad presents the new BMW R nineT Scrambler, a motorcycle
which revives the Scrambler era in a very special way. It has
everything that defines this motorcycle type, filled with a very
distinct spirit and created for motorcycle fans who love things that
are purist, reduced to the essentials and non-conformist - combined
with the technology and quality of a BMW. Together with the R nineT
Roadster, the BMW Scrambler establishes the new BMW Motorrad Heritage
world of experience.

Potent, air-cooled boxer for vigorous power.

The new BMW Motorrad Scrambler features a classic air-cooled, punchy
flat twin boxer engine, which has stood for hallmark design, powerful
torque and a unique sound for more than nine decades. The R nineT
Scrambler is fitted with the air/oil-cooled boxer with a capacity of 1
170 cc. It delivers an output of

81 kW (110 hp) at 7 750 rpm, develops a maximum torque of 116 Nm at 6
000 rpm and, with the new engine mapping and a fuel system including
carbon canister, meets the requirements of the EU4 pollutant class.

Dynamic Scrambler with versatile character.

With the new Scrambler as with the R nineT, BMW Motorrad has
responded to the desire of many motorcycle fans to be able to modify
their bike creatively according to their own personal taste. The
spectrum of potential alterations ranges from original BMW Motorrad
accessories through to attachments or accessory parts produced by
customisers to create a unique motorcycle.

Raised exhaust in Scrambler style for a sonorous sound.

The raised exhaust with two vertically arranged rear silencers meets
the requirements of a classic Scrambler. It is fitted very close to
the body of the bike, thereby reinforcing its generally slim
appearance. Producing a sonorous boxer sound, it also adheres to the
new noise emission regulation ECE R41-04. A large-size catalytic
converter ensures even more effective exhaust gas cleaning.

Traditional suspension technology with 19-inch front wheel and
a wide range of potential variations.

Similar to the R nineT Roadster, the frame concept is a key aspect in
terms of the Scrambler's extensive customisation capacity. The
specially developed steel tubular space frame integrates the boxer
engine as a load-bearing element and consists of a front section with
integrated steering head and a rear section with swinging arm mount.

The passenger frame can be dismounted, thereby allowing the R nineT
Scrambler to be used either by two people or - for a particularly
stylish appearance - by the rider on their own. In line with the
bike’s active riding character, the suspension geometry of the R nineT
Scrambler is mainly geared towards sound handling and a neutral
cornering response - in other words lots of riding fun on winding
country roads.

In good Scrambler style, front wheel suspension is in the form of a
telescopic fork with rubber gaiters and a spring travel of 125
millimetres. Rear wheel suspension is taken care of by a Paralever
single-sided swinging arm as used in the other boxer models.
Suspension and damping are carried out via a central spring strut. The
spring travel is 140 millimetres. The new BMW Scrambler is fitted with
light alloy cast wheels. In typical Scrambler style it has a large
19-inch front wheel with tyre sizes of 120/70-19 at the front and
170/60-17 at the rear.

In view of the impressive riding dynamics of the R nineT Scrambler,
the brake system - which comes with ABS as standard - is fitted with
4-piston calipers, steel-wrapped brake lines and 320-millimetre brake
discs at the front. At the rear, effective deceleration is ensured by
a single-disc brake with a diameter of 265 millimetres and a 2-piston
floating caliper.

Special ergonomics for a relaxed Scrambler feel.

A relaxed upright seating position is one of the key features of a
Scrambler. For this reason, the ergonomic triangle of
handlebar-seat-footrests has been redefined. With handlebars that are
higher as compared to the R nineT, slightly reduced seat upholstery
and rider footrests that are positioned somewhat lower and further to
the rear, the new model gives the rider a relaxed ride feel.

Purist design, attention to detail and a classic colour concept.

Whether with the standard light alloy cast wheels or the optional
cross-spoke wheels – the new R nineT Scrambler always demonstrates
authentic style. One important design objective was to deliberately
ensure the body features were reduced so as to achieve a purist
appearance. From all angles, the BMW Motorrad Scrambler is defined by
a blend of classic and modern elements of motorcycle design style.

The circular headlamp gives it an expression of freedom, independence
and serenity, while the speedometer with analog display features an in
elaborate style that very much reflects the classic principles applied
to the development of the BMW Scrambler. Eye-catching elements are the
painted 17-litre sheet steel fuel tank and the trim cover made of fine
aluminium sheet with embossed R nineT inscription which runs across
the air intake duct on the right-hand side.

The new member of the BMW Motorrad Heritage world of experience also
conveys its high-quality workmanship in numerous details. These
include the refined aluminium forged parts with glass-bead blasted and
then clear anodised surface or the clamp for the double-butted tubular
handlebars, also made of aluminium and bearing an engraved BMW
Motorrad inscription. The tapered and stitched two-person seat in
patinised leather look in the colour Saddle Brown likewise
demonstrates refined workmanship and the use of high-end materials.

The new BMW R nineT Scrambler is available in the paint finish
Monolith metallic matt. The bike's classic, purist character is
enhanced by black-coated components such as the frame, swinging arm,
wheels, fork slider tubes and engine housing.
