The new-generation BMW iX3 is a fully electric Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) that gives customers their first on-the-road taste of a whole new era of Sheer Driving Pleasure.</pp:summary>

A defining element of the digital user experience in the new ##BMW
iX3## is BMW Panoramic iDrive, which elevates intuitive operation and
the driver focus for which the brand is renowned to a new level. And
an all-encompassing sustainability concept reduces the car’s product
carbon footprint over its life cycle by more than 30 per cent compared
to its predecessor.

The first Neue Klasse model will be built at the newly constructed
BMW Group plant in Debrecen, Hungary. The first variant of the fully
electric SAV to roll off the production line from autumn 2025 will be
the BMW iX3 50 xDrive (electric power consumption, combined: 17.9 –
15.1 kWh/100 km; CO2 class: A; range: 679 – 805 km [421 –
500 miles]; provisional figures as per WLTP) with an output of
345 kW/469 hp and electric all-wheel drive. Further fully electric
variants will follow, including an entry-level model. The market
launch of the new BMW iX3 will get underway in Europe in spring 2026
and in the USA in summer 2026. Also starting in summer 2026 will be
deliveries of a variant of the new BMW iX3 produced at the Shenyang
facility that has been tailored specifically to the needs and desires
of customers in China.

The new BMW iX3 represents a leap forward in development over its
predecessor of the same name that extends well beyond the reaches of a
conventional model renewal. The advances made in terms of design and
technology create the impression that a complete vehicle generation
has been skipped. For the BMW Group, the launch of the new BMW iX3
also represents a milestone in the transformation process when it
comes to electrification, digitalisation and circularity. Spearheading
the arrival of the Neue Klasse, it offers customers the latest design
and technology innovations, which will shape the brand’s entire model
range moving forwards. The technologies of the Neue Klasse will be
incorporated into a total of 40 new models and model updates between
now and 2027.

“The Neue Klasse is our biggest future project and marks a huge leap
in terms of technologies, driving experience and design,” says Oliver
Zipse, Chairman of the Board of Management of BMW AG. “Practically
everything about it is new, yet it is also more BMW than ever. Our
entire product range will benefit from the innovations of the Neue
Klasse – regardless of the drive technology. What started as a bold
vision has now become reality: the BMW iX3 is the first Neue Klasse
model to go into series production. We are not only bringing the next
generation of one of our most successful fully electric vehicles onto
the road, we are launching a new era for BMW.”

Launch of the new design language: reduced, characterful and timeless.

Major technological advances always offer an opportunity to introduce
more significant design changes. The new BMW iX3 will launch the new
BMW design language, which will be replicated across the whole of the
brand’s model range in due course. This new use of forms provides a
very modern interpretation of BMW’s original and enduring blueprint.
The design is timeless while also capturing the prevailing zeitgeist.
It is reduced to the essence of the BMW brand – and therefore more BMW
than ever. For this one reason why comprehensive design protection has
been registered for the new BMW design language used in the new BMW iX3.

The new BMW iX3 showcases the values and qualities of the Neue Klasse
within the template of an SAV. The first BMW X model of the new
generation is all about interior space and a progressive lifestyle. At
4,782 millimetres in length, 1,895 millimetres wide and
1,635 millimetres tall, the new BMW iX3 has the hallmark proportions
of an SAV. The characteristic two-box design is infused with the
rugged presence of a BMW X model and has precise lines that emphasise
all four wheels. Detail optimisation of the car’s aerodynamics enables
a drag coefficient (Cd) of 0.24.

The load compartment capacity of the new BMW iX3 can be increased
from 520 to a maximum 1,750 litres by folding down the rear seat
backrest elements as required. The additional storage compartment
under the bonnet can hold another 58 litres of cargo. Customers
needing additional transportation capacity can specify their car with
the optional electric fold-in/fold-out trailer tow hitch. The maximum
trailer load of the new BMW iX3 50 xDrive is 2,000 kilograms.

The upright front end and clearly formed surfaces endows the new BMW
iX3 with considerable presence. The BMW kidneys and twin headlights –
both distinctive BMW design cues – take centre stage visually. The
sculpted BMW kidneys reference the Neue Klasse of the 1960s in their
vertical arrangement. An all-new light signature assumes the role
previously performed by chrome in giving the car an aura of quality
and sophistication. And when viewed from the side, large surfaces
broken up by a small number of precise lines create a character-rich
appearance. Flush glass surfaces and door handles are also features of
the side view. The robust stature of the new BMW iX3 is underscored by
body-colour wheel arches with – in familiar BMW X model style – subtly
rectangular contours. The rear end also cuts a powerful and athletic
figure. The taillights extending well into the centre of the rear end
represent a horizontal interpretation of the signature BMW “L” shape.

Interior design: modern space has a BMW-typical driver focus
and offers exceptional comfort for all passengers.

The design of the BMW iX3 interior sets new standards in terms of
modernity and digital experience. The interior has an uncluttered,
reduced design, providing the ideal stage for the digital experience.
The cabin is all about the clear driver focus for which BMW is
renowned and comfort for all those on board. Created specifically for
electric vehicles, the vehicle architecture allows for extremely
generous levels of space in all five seats. The lines of the
“floating” instrument panel flow directly into the large door trim
panels, creating an enveloping wrap-around effect for the passengers.
With its fabric surface, the instrument panel – with atmospheric
backlighting – contributes to the warm and inviting atmosphere inside.
Large window surfaces and the optional panoramic sunroof with climate
comfort glazing generate an ambience bathed in light.

Another prominent influence in the horizontally arranged cockpit is
the new control/operation system BMW Panoramic iDrive, which is based
on the likewise newly developed BMW Operating System X. It brings
together displays, geometry and light & sound design into a
holistic experience, customisable via the My Modes. Also playing a
role here are the new driving sounds, sound effects and sound signals
of the BMW HypersonX soundscape created specifically for the Neue Klasse.

The elegantly minimalist seats of the new design stand out with their
excellent comfort levels over long journeys, sporty character, and
wide range of adjustment. Also sporting an all-new design are the
steering wheel and the centre console between the driver’s seat and
front passenger seat, complete with storage areas and control
elements. The rear seat bench offers a single, sofa-like seat surface.

Precisely arranged interior worlds bring a unique and thoroughly
distinct character to every equipment package. The materials and
colour schemes selected are inspired by modern interior design and
advanced Neue Klasse technology, and coordinated harmoniously with one
another. They therefore make a noticeable, visible contribution to the
exceptional comfort levels on board the new BMW iX3. An attractive
range of colours enables a perfect match between the interior tones
and exterior paint finishes. As alternatives to the
standard-specification Essential interior design in Vivid Grey with
Econeer seat coverings, customers can also choose from three other
compositions in Veganza, the black BMW M interior world in Veganza and
M PerformTex, and the BMW Individual option with a high-quality Merino
leather/M PerformTex combination in Black Bicolour or Adelaide Grey.

The new BMW iX3 can be specified as an option with the M Sport
package or M Sport package Pro from launch. Its dynamic looks are
further emphasised by Black high-gloss features for the exterior, and
M Sport seats and an M steering wheel inside the car.

The BMW Iconic Glow exterior package enables an
impressive sound and light sequence with Relaxed,
Balanced and Excited styles. The
welcome sequence commences as soon as the driver approaches the
vehicle and, as they take their seat, an animated greeting begins in
the BMW Panoramic Vision and Central Display,
spreading smoothly from the driver’s side of the cockpit to the front
passenger side.

BMW Panoramic iDrive: consummate driver focus, BMW-style.

The BMW iX3 is the first series-produced model in which BMW Panoramic
iDrive redefines the user experience and therefore also Sheer Driving
Pleasure. With its neatly judged balance between digital functions and
physical elements, BMW Panoramic iDrive elevates intuitive operation –
according to BMW’s fabled “hands on the wheel, eyes on the road”
principle – to a new level of driver focus. The entire system is born
out of decades of experience and a user-centric design approach.
Individual customer feedback, data from over 10 million connected
vehicles and usability studies with more than 3,000 customers were all
incorporated into the development process. Physical controls are on
hand, including for the windscreen wipers, turn signal indicators,
exterior mirrors, volume control, gear selector, parking brake, hazard
warning lights, rear window heating and defrost function. Other
functions have been optimised for use by touch and voice command or
via the multifunction steering wheel.

The BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant has been significantly
upgraded and now includes two new voices, a new appearance for the BMW
Panoramic Vision and additional assistance for the driver through
proactive suggestions and personalisable routines. Large Language
Model (LLM) technology will also be gradually introduced to enable
even more intuitive voice interaction in the future.

BMW Panoramic iDrive brings four central elements together into a
unique display and control/operation system. The BMW Panoramic Vision
projects information across the full width of the windscreen, from
A-pillar to A-pillar. The content in the centre and on the front
passenger side can be adapted to personal tastes and requirements. Key
driving information appears in the driver’s field of vision. And above
the BMW Panoramic Vision, the BMW 3D Head-Up Display (if specified)
can now also show integrated navigation and automated driving displays
on the road with spatial depth. The free-cut-design Central Display
with matrix backlight technology is located in an ergonomically ideal
position next to the steering wheel. On the driver’s side, vertically
arranged widgets enable fast and direct access to particularly
frequently used functions using QuickSelect tech. The new
multifunction steering wheel serves as the primary physical control
point. Its button panels help the driver and vehicle to work together
symbiotically using illuminations, a relief-like surface and haptic feedback.

Underpinning BMW Panoramic iDrive is the likewise newly developed BMW
Operating System X, which offers extensive scope for personalisation
via the BMW ID, intelligent driver assistance, a wide variety of
digital functions, extensive connectivity using the My BMW App and
outstanding future-proofing thanks to BMW Software Updates.

The standard-fit navigation system BMW Maps features an upgrade for
the charging-optimised route guidance, plus intelligently coordinated
presentation of information on the BMW Panoramic Vision, Central
Display and optional 3D Head-Up Display. The BMW Digital Key Plus can
be set up on smartphones and smartwatches from all the leading makers,
also as standard. Meanwhile, BMW Operating System X unlocks a wide
variety of entertainment while on the road and during charging stops,
bringing customers not only music streaming apps such as Spotify and
in-car gaming with AirConsole, but also a video-streaming app offering
Disney+, YouTube and other international/numerous country-specific
on-demand and live video platforms. The Zoom App for video calls is
now also available for use.

The BMW ConnectedDrive Store provides an overview of the features
customers can currently download or access, and these can be added
easily and flexibly through ConnectedDrive Upgrades. For example, more
than 60 third-party apps in the music & audio, entertainment,
gaming, news, and travel & local categories are available
worldwide. To download the features and use the apps, customers will
need access to connectivity via BMW Digital Premium or a WiFi
network/smartphone hotspot. The BMW Digital Premium range of features
customers can add as they desire comprises extensive safety functions,
extended navigation features, unlimited data for entertainment and now
also BMW M Apps.

Sixth-generation BMW eDrive technology: higher efficiency,
more range, faster charging.

The sixth-generation BMW eDrive technology developed for the Neue
Klasse comprises highly efficient electric motors, fundamentally new
high-voltage batteries with cylindrical cells, and 800V technology.
The BMW iX3 50 xDrive is powered by two electric motors, which
together generate output of 345 kW/469 hp and 645 Nm (475 lb-ft) of
torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.9 seconds and
reaches a top speed of 210 km/h (130 mph). Its electric
all-wheel-drive configuration consists of an extensively upgraded
electrically excited synchronous motor (EESM) with particularly high
levels of efficiency at the rear axle and, at the front axle, a new
asynchronous motor (ASM) distinguished by its compact design and high
cost efficiency. The combination of EESM and ASM is evidence of the
BMW Group’s commitment to technological neutrality within electric
mobility as well. The drive technology developed for the Neue Klasse
reduces energy losses by 40 per cent compared to fifth-generation BMW
eDrive technology, weight by 10 per cent and manufacturing costs by 20
per cent.

The new high-voltage battery concept with cylindrical cells for the
Neue Klasse also achieves significant advances. The energy density on
a cell level is 20 per cent higher than with fifth-generation BMW
eDrive technology, and the new concept also paves the way for a 30 per
cent increase in charging speed. The cylindrical cells are integrated
directly into the high-voltage battery (“cell to pack”), which
benefits energy density and cost efficiency. Added to which, the
high-voltage battery is integrated into the vehicle architecture as a
structural component to minimise weight (“pack to open body”). The
high-voltage battery in the BMW iX3 50 xDrive has a usable energy
content of 108.7 kWh, enabling a range of up to 805 kilometres (500
miles) in the WLTP cycle.

BMW Charging: short charging times, premiere for bidirectional charging.

The advances brought by sixth-generation BMW eDrive technology have a
significant influence on the charging experience, too. A maximum
charging rate of 400 kW enables users to fill their new BMW iX3 with
enough energy at an 800V direct current (DC) rapid charging station to
add up to 372 kilometres (231 miles)[1] of range in just ten minutes. The high-voltage
battery can charge from 10 to 80 per cent capacity in 21 minutes.
Thanks to the battery management tech with integrated switching matrix
developed completely in-house by the BMW Group, the new BMW iX3 can
also be charged from 400V DC stations. Upgrades to the battery
preparation also help to shorten charging times. The new
BMW iX3 50 xDrive can top up on alternating current (AC) at 11 kW as
standard or 22 kW[2] as
an option.

Extensive bidirectional charging functions[3] are also available for the new BMW
iX3, meaning that it can be used as an energy supply source for a
variety of applications. The Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) function turns the
new BMW iX3 into a mobile powerbank, which can supply electric devices
with power while on the move. Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) hands it the role
of storage unit for solar energy generated by home-fitted photovoltaic
systems. And customers can also hook their car up to the energy market
via the Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) application and earn some money in the process.

The selection of standard-fitted and optional charging accessories
has been significantly expanded. For flexible charging during a
journey, customers can make use of the new Multifunction Charger,
which comes with several adapters for charging and discharging the
high-voltage battery. The new BMW Wallbox Professional (DC) enables
bidirectional charging at home or work. And BMW Charging offers the
option of cost-optimised /solar-power-optimised home charging.
Emblematic of the charging experience in this new vehicle generation
is the intelligent charging flap of the new BMW iX3, which uses
artificial intelligence (AI) to detect the customer’s intention to top
up their car and then automatically opens or closes. And
sixth-generation BMW eDrive technology makes it possible to view the
current charging speed and curve in the My BMW App. Up to ten
individual charging contracts from various suppliers can be shown
digitally inside the new BMW iX3, enabling use of the Plug &
Charge Multi Contract function.

Heart of Joy: Sheer Driving Pleasure reaches a new level.

One of four “superbrains” in the electronics architecture of the Neue
Klasse, the Heart of Joy looks after drivetrain and driving dynamics
management. This high-performance control unit is responsible for the
drivetrain, brakes, energy recuperation and steering subfunctions, and
processes information up to ten times faster than conventional control
units. In this way, the potential of electric mobility in terms of
instantaneous power delivery, smooth power transfer, agility,
stability and efficiency is utilised to the full.

Together with the BMW Dynamic Performance Control software stack
developed fully in-house, the Heart of Joy calculates all the driving
dynamics parameters with a new level of speed and precision. Here, the
decades of experience of BMW in the field of driving dynamics control
come to the fore. The driver and passengers in the new BMW iX3
experience a uniquely harmonious and BMW-typical driving feeling
whatever the situation and speed. Every movement of the accelerator,
brake pedal and steering is executed directly and with assurance and
precision. Supreme traction and – thanks to the unique Soft Stop
function – the smoothest stopping process ever achieved by a BMW are
among its other attributes. In addition, the efficiency of the new BMW
iX3 is optimised by the integrated management of drivetrain, braking
system and energy recuperation. In everyday driving, 98 per cent of
braking manoeuvres are carried out using recuperation only, i.e.
without application of the friction brakes.

“Superbrain of automated driving” for the driver assistance
systems with new-generation technology.

Another high-performance computer brings together all the automated
driving and parking functions in the BMW iX3. With 20 times greater
processing power than conventional control units, the “superbrain of
automated driving” enables a significant technological advance with
the Neue Klasse in this area as well.

BMW Symbiotic Drive provides seamless support.
The BMW iX3 uses its Symbiotic Drive capability combined with
driver assistance to create a completely new driving experience.
Whenever the driver wants to accelerate, brake or steer, their inputs
merge seamlessly and intuitively with AI-enabled software.

The result is a whole new form of Sheer Driving Pleasure. These
driver assistance functions are generally already included as standard
with entry-level specification. For example, the automatic cruise
control system is not deactivated with only a light press of the brake
pedal; instead, it is only switched off when the driver brakes harder.
In the same way, the lane control assistance remains active even after
a small steering input by the driver.

The further-developed BMW motorway assistant supports BMW iX3 drivers
from the moment they join a motorway until they leave it, and allows
them to take their hands off the steering wheel for long periods. The
functionality offered by the City Assistant includes traffic light
detection, where the car automatically stops and then moves off again.

New electronics architecture with four “superbrains”.

The completely newly developed electronics architecture comprises a
total of four high-performance computers known as “superbrains”. They
pool their processing power for driving dynamics, automated driving,
infotainment and basic & comfort-enhancing functions. They also
provide the basis for a new software architecture that can be
continuously upgraded and is therefore designed to incorporate
upcoming function updates including AI features.

The new digital nervous system consists of a wiring harness divided
into four zones. This reduces weight by 30 per cent compared to the
technology used previously and allows for around 600 metres less
wiring. Another new feature are digital “smart eFuses”, which replace
classical safety fuses. They enable intelligent power modes for
different vehicle states that help to improve the car’s overall efficiency.

With its four superbrains and highly connected software platforms,
the BMW iX3 is a true software-defined vehicle and exceptionally well
equipped for the future. Added to which, the new electronics
architecture forms the basis for multifaceted improvements in the
networking of the BMW iX3 with the My BMW App. This new level of
quality when it comes to integration delivers new experiences and
holds considerable potential for future innovations.

Equipment and individualisation to enhance driving pleasure,
comfort and versatility.

The new BMW iX3 will be available with one solid and five metallic
paint finishes from launch. As an alternative to the 20-inch
light-alloy wheels fitted as standard, customers can also browse an
exclusive selection of new light-alloy wheels (20-, 21- and 22-inch)
available as an option. The range also includes BMW M and BMW
Individual light-alloy wheels, some in aerodynamically and
weight-optimised Air Performance specification.

Customers can tailor the design of the cabin to their personal style
with the help of the Essential, Contemporary, M Sport and BMW
Individual interior design worlds. The driver’s seat and front
passenger seat are heated and electrically adjustable as standard. M
Sport seats and multifunction seats are available as options. Also on
the options list are a sports steering wheel and an M Sport steering wheel.

Standard specification for the new BMW iX3 50 xDrive also includes
two-zone automatic climate control, Comfort Access, automatic tailgate
operation, the extended exterior mirror package, an alarm system and
the telephony with wireless charging function. Among the other
highlights of the optional equipment offering are three-zone automatic
climate control, adaptive headlight functions with intelligent light
control, the BMW Iconic Glow package including illuminated BMW
kidneys, the Harman Kardon HiFi system with 13 speakers, steering
wheel heating and a large panoramic sunroof, whose climate comfort
glazing has unique solar energy filtering and 100-per cent UV protection.

Holistic sustainability approach targeting circularity and
CO2e reduction .

The BMW Group kicked off the development of its upcoming vehicle
generation by intensifying its efforts to systematically implement
“Design for Circularity” principles and further reduce CO2e
emissions throughout the product life cycle. A holistic sustainability
approach has therefore been applied for the new BMW iX3.

A variety of measures ensures that the product carbon footprint of
the new BMW iX3 50 xDrive over its full life cycle – based on a
mileage of 200,000 kilometres (124,260 miles) – is 34 per cent smaller
than that of its predecessor. This means that, when charged with
electricity from the European energy mix, it has a smaller product
carbon footprint than a comparable combustion-engined (ICE) model
after around 21,500 kilometres (13,358 miles). When charged
exclusively with electricity from renewable sources, the BMW iX3 50
xDrive beats the comparable ICE model after only 17,500 kilometres
(10,873 miles, WLTP combined), allowing customers to potentially
achieve CO₂e advantages over the ICE model in as little as one year.

Around one third of the new BMW iX3 is made from secondary raw
materials. For example, the storage compartment under the front hatch
and the engine compartment cover are made from 30 per cent[4] recycled marine
plastic. The base material of the yarn for the Econeer seat textile,
the headliner (textile) and the floor-mat carpet is made from 100 per
cent[5] recycled PET.
When it comes to the car’s chassis, aluminium consisting of 80 per
cent secondary raw material is used for the swivel bearings and hub
carriers, while the wheel rims are cast from aluminium with a 70 per
cent secondary raw material content.

The overall product carbon footprint of the supply chain for the BMW
iX3 50 xDrive has been reduced by 35 per cent. Production and
operations at BMW Group Plant Debrecen do not use fossil fuels in
normal operating conditions. And thanks to sixth-generation BMW eDrive
technology and other BMW EfficientDynamics measures, the energy
consumption of the new BMW iX3 is 20 per cent lower than that of the
predecessor model (WLTP combined).

The BMW Group's new corporate website provides an overview of all key
company topics and consolidates various aspects of the journey toward
the Neue Klasse. It offers extensive information on the development of
the latest model generation, highlights historic milestones of the
Neue Klasse, and features details about the innovative technologies of

Munich/Las Vegas. The BMW Group is sharing its vision
of the future digital experience, both inside and outside the vehicle,
at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2023 in Las Vegas. BMW
i Vision Dee is the futuristic mid-size sedan with a new
and pared-down design language. The name “Dee” stands
for Digital Emotional Experience – and that is
precisely its aim: to create an even stronger bond between people and
their cars going forward. Future digital functions will go far beyond
the level of voice control and driver assistance systems we are
familiar with today. The BMW Head-Up-Display extends across the full
width of the windscreen, providing a glimpse of the next vehicle
generation. From 2025 onwards, this innovation will be available in
the models of the NEUE KLASSE. The BMW Group has also refined its use
of colour-change technology. Having unveiled the BMW iX Flow Featuring
E Ink, with the ability to change from black to white, at the last
CES, BMW i Vision Dee can now curate its exterior in up to 32 colours.

“With the BMW i Vision Dee, we are showcasing what is possible when
hardware and software merge. In this way, we are able to exploit the
full potential of digitalisation to transform the car into an
intelligent companion. That is the future for automotive manufacturers
– and, also, for BMW: the fusion of the virtual experience with
genuine driving pleasure,” said Oliver Zipse, Chairman of the Board of
Management of BMW AG. “At the same time, BMW i Vision Dee is another
step on the road to the NEUE KLASSE. With this vision, we are looking
far into the future and underlining the tremendous importance of
digitalisation for our upcoming product generations.”

With its intelligent, almost human capabilities, BMW i Vision Dee
accompanies drivers not only through real-life situations on the
roads, but also in their digital environment.

“A BMW lives by its unparalleled digital performance. BMW i Vision
Dee is about perfect integration of virtual and physical experiences,”
said Frank Weber, member of the Board of Management of BMW AG
responsible for Development. “Whoever excels at integrating the
customer’s everyday digital worlds into the vehicle at all levels will
succeed in mastering the future of car-building.”

BMW Mixed Reality Slider: into the virtual world in five steps
The BMW Mixed Reality Slider, in combination with the advanced
Head-up Display, is the digital highlight and central operating
control of BMW i Vision Dee. Using shy-tech sensors on the instrument
panel, drivers can decide for themselves how much digital content they
want to see on the advanced Head-Up Display. The five-step selection
ranges from analogue, to driving-related information, to the contents
of the communications system, to augmented-reality projection, right
up to entry into virtual worlds. In parallel, dimmable windows can
also be used to gradually fade out reality. Mixed reality can be
experienced in BMW i Vision Dee in an immersive way that engages
different senses without requiring any additional tools, creating a
new dimension of driving pleasure for the user.

Advanced BMW Head-Up-Display: in NEUE KLASSE from 2025
The BMW Group is known in the automotive sector as a trailblazer
for the Head-Up-Display and has systematically refined this technology
over the past two decades. In BMW i Vision Dee, projection across the
entire width of the windscreen allows information to be displayed on
the largest possible surface – which only becomes recognisable as a
display once it is activated. In this way, the BMW Group demonstrates
the huge potential of projection technology and BMW i Vision Dee
visualises how a advanced Head-Up-Display could also be utilised in
the future for the display and operating concept. The
standard-production version of the BMW Head-up-Display extending
across the full width of the windscreen will be used in the models of
the NEUE KLASSE from 2025 onwards.

Welcome scenario with voice and phygital icons
The digital experience already begins outside the vehicle, with
a personalised welcome scenario that combines graphical elements,
light and sound effects. Natural language serves as the simplest, most
intuitive form of interaction, enabling perfect understanding between
humans and their vehicles. The headlights and the closed BMW kidney
grille also form a common phygital (fusion of physical and digital)
icon on a uniform surface, allowing the vehicle to produce different
facial expressions. This means BMW i Vision Dee can talk to people
and, at the same time, express moods such as joy, astonishment or
approval visually. BMW i Vision Dee can also project an image of the
driver’s avatar onto the side window to further personalise the
welcome scenario.

World premiere for full-colour E Ink technology
Following the spectacular debut of the BMW iX Flow Featuring E
Ink at CES 2022, the BMW Group is now unveiling a full-colour version
of the E Ink technology in BMW i Vision Dee that will be used as the
outer skin of the vehicle for the first time worldwide.

BMW i Vision Dee, rather than simply alternating between black and
white, now showcases a multi-coloured, fully variable and individually
configurable exterior. An ePaper film from the BMW Group’s cooperation
partner, E Ink, is applied to the body to create this magical display
of colour. Up to 32 colours can be displayed.

The body surface of the BMW i Vision Dee is divided into 240 E Ink
segments, each of which is controlled individually. This allows an
almost infinite variety of patterns to be generated and varied within
seconds. The laser cutting process used to trim the films and the
electronic control design were developed in partnership with E Ink.
The adaptation of this technology for curved surfaces and the
programming of the animations, were developed by BMW Group’s in-house
engineers – enabling a form enabling a form of customisation that is
unique throughout the automotive sector worldwide.

Reductive design – inside and out
The design of
BMW i Vision Dee has been deliberately pared down to focus attention
on the digital experience and the DNA of the BMW brand. The exterior
is defined by the classic three-box sedan design that forms the core
of the BMW brand. Traditional design elements, like the BMW kidney
grille, twin circular headlights and the Hofmeister kink, are
reimagined, with phygital icons replacing analogue elements. This
gives BMW i Vision Dee its own digital, but human, character.

Inside, digitalisation goes hand in hand with reductive use of
materials, operating controls and displays to ensure nothing distracts
from the digital experience and the new feeling of enhanced driving
pleasure. The unconventional design of the steering wheel, with its
central vertical spoke, creates touchpoints that come to life when
approached or touched and can be operated by moving the thumb. These
phygital touchpoints control selection of the content projected onto
the windscreen and, together with the Head-Up Display, thus support
the principle of “hands on the wheel, eyes on the road”.

“With BMW i Vision Dee, we are showing how the car can be seamlessly
integrated into your digital life and become a trusty companion. The
vehicle itself becomes your portal to the digital world – with the
driver always in control,” said Adrian van Hooydonk, head of BMW Group
Design. “Implemented the right way, technology will create worthwhile
experiences, make you a better driver and simply bring humans and
machines closer together.”

Another milestone on the road to the NEUE KLASSE
The future of the BMW Group is electric, circular and digital.
BMW i Vision Dee represents the digital aspect of this trio and will
be another milestone on the road to the next vehicle generation, the
NEUE KLASSE. The BMW Group will provide further insights and glimpses
of the revolutionary vehicle concept of the NEUE KLASSE over the
course of 2023.

Press Contact: Abhay Dange
Tel: +91-124-456-6656
E-mail: abhay.dange@bmw.in

Press Kit,Concept Vehicles & Design

to enhance sporting ability and ride comfort. Alongside its
market-leading dynamics and efficiency, a host of innovative equipment
features also help the new BMW X1 to secure its stand-out position in
the segment.

Enhanced X-ness: Even sharper design with a new larger kidney
grille and LED lights, adding greater road presence and premium appeal.

Impressive Interior: Generous space with Panorama glass-roof now
as standard, new 8.8” Central Display with touch screen
functionality and Wireless Apple CarPlay®.

All-new comfort suspension for best-in-class dynamics and
noticeably enhanced ride quality.

BMW BluePerformance: One of the cleanest diesel technologies in

oxide emissions (NOx) than defined BS VI limits.

Three new exterior colors – Storm Bay, Misano Blue and Sunset Orange.

The sharper design of the new BMW X1 strengthens its
authentic and powerful SAV character. With commanding proportions,
high seating position and good road visibility, it has greater road
presence than ever before. The exterior embodies a muscular and
dominant character with precisely drawn lines and strikingly contoured
surfaces. The front has an imposing appearance with larger BMW grille
and air intakes as well as striking new LED headlights with LED
foglamps. The athletic side view is complemented by a dynamic wedge
shape formed by the roofline, eye-catching character lines and window
surfaces that taper towards the rear. The rear design underscores the
car’s width and sporty stance with wrap-around LED rear lights, inlays
in body color and bigger twin exhaust tailpipes.

The new BMW X1 has generous proportions, comfort and a feeling of
spaciousness on the inside, thanks to an intelligent vehicle structure
and smartly conceived interior configuration. Entry
into the new BMW X1 is rather stylish with a welcome greeting ‘X1’
projected onto the ground from the side mirrors. Ample room for all
occupants, along with horizontal surface design, create an ambience
typical of a sports activity vehicle. Filling up the cabin with a
sense of spaciousness and light is the large Panorama Glass Roof.
Ambient Lighting with six dimmable designs creates an atmosphere for
every mood. The micro-activated carbon particulate filter ensures
clean and fresh air inside the cabin. Comfortable seating is an
important consideration for long journeys and traffic jams and the new
BMW X1 offers electrical seat adjustment for both driver (with memory
function) and passenger. M Sport offers Sport Seats for driver and
front passenger. The rear seat backrest can be reclined for added
comfort. Folding down the 40:20:40 split backrest increases boot
capacity from 500 litres to 1,550 litres, making the versatility of
new BMW X1 suitable for all kinds of journeys.

Thanks to unrivalled BMW TwinPower Turbo technology,
the BS VI petrol and diesel engines meld best-in-class power with
exemplary efficiency and offer spontaneous responsiveness even at low
engine speeds. The two-litre four-cylinder petrol engine of the BMW X1
sDrive20i produces an output of 192 hp* and maximum torque of 280 Nm*
at 1,350 – 4,600 rpm. The car accelerates from 0 -100 km/hr in 7.7
seconds. The two-litre four-cylinder diesel engine of the BMW X1
sDrive20d produces an output of 190 hp* and a maximum torque of 400
Nm* at 1,750 – 2,500 rpm. The car accelerates from 0 -100 km/hr in 7.9 seconds.

The BMW X1 sDrive20i has fuel efficiency of 14.82 kms/ltr* and low
CO2 emissions of 160 g/km**. The BMW X1 sDrive20d has fuel efficiency
of 19.62 kms/ltr** and low CO2 emissions of 135 g/km**.

Using the Driving Experience Control switch, driver
can change the driving character of the vehicle by choosing between
different driving modes - ECO PRO, Comfort, Sport.

The seven/eight speed Steptronic Sport automatic
transmission performs smooth, almost imperceptible
gearshifts. At any time, in any gear, the transmission collaborates
perfectly with the engine, enabling it to develop its full power and
efficiency. For even greater driving pleasure, it is available with
steering wheel paddle shifters and cruise control with braking
function as standard. Using Launch Control, ambitious drivers can
achieve maximum acceleration with optimized traction from a standstill.

A host of BMW ConnectedDrive technologies make for
an entertaining and safe journey. The BMW X1 features a
high-resolution 8.8-inch Central Information Display with iDrive
Controller and Navigation with touch functionality. Wireless Apple
CarPlay® ensures seamless smartphone connection with the car to access
navigation, contacts, messages, music and other functions. Also
available optionally is an extremely handy wireless charging station
that doubles up as a power bank. Park Distance Control and Rear-View
Camera make parking in tight spots easier.

BMW Blue Performance is an important component of BMW
EfficientDynamics which is dedicated to reduction of fuel
consumption and emissions while also increasing power and driving
pleasure. BMW BluePerformance Technology in the BMW
X1 diesel engine reduces nitrogen oxide (NOx) to 25 mg/km** and
particulate matter to almost 0 mg/km**. This doesn’t affect the actual
combustion process, so engine’s high level of efficiency is preserved.
This means customers drive one of the cleanest diesel automobiles in
the world.

sensor, ISOFIX child seat mounting and integrated emergency spare
wheel under the load floor.

The new BMW X1 is complimented by a range of exciting
lifestyle merchandise. Customers can add more flair
to their personal style with merchandise such as t-shirts, jackets,
caps, wristwatches, sunglasses, golfsport bags, sportsbags, coffee
mugs, waterbottles, key rings, etc. For those who love to travel and
lead an active lifestyle, BMW has a range of perfect travel companions
- headphones, bluetooth speakers, umbrellas, trolley bags, rucksacks
and backpacks. With baby racers and miniatures, there is something in
store for kids as well.

*Performance data as measured in the emission test done under
controlled conditions of environment, driving cycle, fuel etc. as
specified in Rule 115 of Central Motor Vehicle Rules, 1989.

**The new X1 BMW meets the BS VI equivalent Emission norms as per
CMVR 115.

Press Contact: Abhay Dange
Tel: +91-124-456-6656
E-mail: abhay.dange@bmw.in

Press Kit,X1,F48 LCI,Product,BMW

The all-new BMW M2 Competition.

Short Version.

New engine with 410 HP.

The centrepiece of the all-new BMW M2 Competition is its new engine,
based on the power unit from the BMW M3 and BMW M4. The double-charged
six- cylinder in-line engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology
delivers 302 kW/410 hp at 6,250 rpm. The engine’s peak torque of 550
Nm is on tap between 2,350 and 5,230 rpm. The power unit boasts an
insatiable appetite for revs for a turbocharged engine and offers
exceptionally linear power delivery across a broad rev range. A dual
exhaust system with electrically flap control provides the distinctive
M sound, while the M TwinPower Turbo technology delivers outstanding efficiency.

The all-new BMW M2 Competition completes a standard sprint, from a
standstill to 100 km/h, in 4.2 seconds. The top speed is
electronically limited to 250 km/h.

The cleverly designed oil supply system for the engine is taken
directly from motorsport, while the cooling system from the BMW M4
with Competition Package is also used with some adjustments. The
all-new BMW M2 Competition includes race-ready variants of the oil
supply and cooling systems that have been tested by many years’
experience in motor racing. An enlarged BMW Kidney grille and a new
front skirt with increased air flow are exterior signs that point to
the use of this improved cooling system. The kidney is finished in
high- gloss Shadow Line black paint as standard. This is also the case
for the side gills on the front wings, and for the redesigned quartet
of tailpipes in the twin exhaust system, with two electrically
adjustable valves. The dark M Competition Badge graces the rear end of
the car. The design of the new double-arm wing mirrors improves the
aerodynamics and they are typically characteristic of the all-new BMW
M2 Competition.

BMW M engineers have also adjusted the driving dynamics of the
all-new BMW M2 Competition to take the increased performance into
account. The striking CFRP high-precision strut from the BMW M3/M4 is
immediately noticeable in the engine compartment. This improves front
section rigidity and increases steering precision. The characteristic
curves for the electromechanical power steering, the Active M
Differential and the Dynamic Steering Control (DSC) system have also
been adjusted.

Selector switches to adjust settings.

The BMW M2 is the first model to be equipped with selector switches
on the centre console that allow instant control of the
characteristics and settings for the engine, steering and Drivelogic
functions, if M DCT is available. The various configurations can be
combined with one another in whichever way the driver prefers and can
be stored for easy access using the M1 and M2 buttons on the steering
wheel. The standard range of equipment now includes the red start/stop
button, adaptive LED headlights and front Park Distance Control (PDC).

Fascinating new options.

The new, optional M Sport seat is a real highlight in terms of
function and form. The bucket-style shape borrows heavily from
motorsport and provides drivers with optimum support, while the
headrests are integrated into the seat back rest. The backrest also
features an illuminated M2 logo at shoulder height. The black leather
upholstery boasts design perforations in the seat and backrest,
available in blue or orange. The standard sports seats are also
available with black leather upholstery, featuring contrast stitching
in blue or orange.

The standard 19-inch M light alloy wheels double-spoke 437 M with
mixed tyres, Black (Front: 245/35 R19, Rear: 265/35 R19) are also
available. A new metallic paint colour is also now exclusively
available for the all-new BMW M2 Competition: Hockenheim Silver.

Press Contact: Richa Sharma
Tel: +91-124-4566-655
E-mail: richa.sharma@bmw.in

Press Kit,F87,M2,Product,BMW M

Overall Concept.

Short Version.

The new BMW F 750 GS and F 850 GS: Premium middle-class travel
enduros with strong characters.

Ever since their debut in 2007, the GS models of the F series have
stood for premium riding enjoyment with typical ‘Made by BMW Motorrad’
features, representing the middle-class Adventure segment. As before,
the GS abbreviation again represents a perfect synthesis of touring
and long-distance capability combined with sporty dynamics and supreme
offroad performance. In short: A BMW GS is the perfect companion when
it comes to discovering remote corners of the world by motorcycle.
After around ten years of consistent model development, BMW Motorrad
has now fully redesigned and reengineered its middle-class GS models
in line with its objective of creating an ultimate riding machine that
is even more uncomplicated and carefree, whether used for
sport-oriented road riding, on tour complete with luggage and a
passenger, or on an adventure trip into offroad terrain.

Even more so than their predecessor models, the new F 750 GS and F
850 GS are targeted squarely at their respective clientele. The F 750
GS is designed for all riders who prefer the sensation and conceptual
design of a travel enduro in combination with a low seat height,
copious power availability, high cost-effectiveness, and powerful
all-round qualities. Opposite this is the new F 850 GS, which besides
offering more power and torque, features even more distinctive touring
characteristics coupled with supreme offroad ability.

Powerful, new 2-cylinder in-line engine with two
counterbalance shafts and a firing interval of 270/450 degrees for
optimized smoothness and emotional sound.

The main development focus was to create an increase in both power
and torque. In addition, special attention was given to reducing fuel
consumption levels. Displacement is 853 cc and the power output of 57
kW (77 hp) at 7500 rpm generated by the F 750 GS is more than
sufficient. The new F 850 GS generates 70 kW (95 hp) at 8250 rpm which
translates to a supreme level of engine power. The developers achieved
a powerful and emotionally appealing sound by employing a crankshaft
with a 90 degree journal offset and a 270/450 degree firing interval.
Unwanted vibrations are absorbed by the new engine’s two
counterbalance shafts. A self-amplifying, anti-hopping clutch provides
a discernible reduction in the hand clutch operating force while the
drop in engine drag torque also enhances safety on the road. Power
transmission to the rear wheel comes from the 6-speed gearbox with
secondary drive that is now positioned on the left-hand side.

The riding modes ‘Road’ and ‘Rain’ plus ABS and ASC ensure
plenty of riding enjoyment and enhanced safety as standard.

Pro riding modes are available as optional equipment. The new GS
models address individual rider requirements by offering ‘Rain’ and
‘Road’ riding modes, while the combination of BMW Motorrad ABS and the
ASC automatic stability control ensures a high level of safety. The F
750 GS and F 850 GS can be fitted ex works with optional equipment,
such as Pro riding modes and in turn the additional ‘Dynamic’,
‘Enduro’ and ‘Enduro Pro’ riding modes (the latter only available in
the F 850 GS) as well as the DTC dynamic traction control and banking
capable ABS Pro.

New steel bridge frame in monocoque construction, optimized
suspension geometry and new fuel tank position.

The bridge frame of the new GS models in the F series is made of
deep-drawn, welded components. It integrates the 2-cylinder in-line
engine as a co-supporting element and offers benefits in terms of
torsional rigidity and robustness. The fuel tank has been placed in
the classic position between the seat bench and the steering head, for
optimised packaging and an improved centre of gravity.

Sharper GS profile thanks to the more masculine design.

The F 750 GS and F 850 GS also feature a completely new look, which
benefits from a more dynamic and masculine design. In addition to the
basic version, the new F models are also available in Exclusive style
variations. The Rallye style variant is exclusive to the new F 850 GS
and places particular emphasis on its offroad capabilities.

Unique range of optional equipment and Original BMW Motorrad accessories.

The new GS models of the F series are being launched with a range of
equipment options that is unique for the middle class. Be it the
different seat heights and windshields, the new full LED headlight,
the optional Connectivity equipment with TFT display or eCall, the
list of fascinating features with which owners can maximise their
riding enjoyment and safety as well as experience the thrill of the
road is now virtually inexhaustible for middle class travel endure motorcycles.

Highlights of the new BMW F 750 GS and F 850 GS:

• Powerful 2-cylinder in-line engine with a displacement of 853 cc. F
750 GS: 57 kW (77 hp) at 7500 rpm and 83 Nm at 6000 rpm. F 850 GS: 70

The all-new BMW M5: State-of-the-art driving dynamics.

The systematic evolution of the high-performance concept.

The all-new BMW M5 (fuel consumption combined: 9.52 km/l; CO2
emissions combined: 241 g/km*) takes driving dynamics into a new
dimension. Making its debut in the sixth generation of the
high-performance sedan is the new M-specific all-wheel-drive system M
xDrive. Not only does this drive system enable the M5 to reach new
heights of dynamic performance, it means that it excels in terms of
everyday practicality and delivers supreme poise in all driving
conditions as well.

Frank van Meel, Chairman of the Board of Management at BMW M GmbH,
explains the benefits of the pioneering drivetrain technology aboard
the all-new BMW M5: “Thanks to M xDrive, the all-new BMW M5 can be
piloted with the familiar blend of sportiness and unerring accuracy
both on the race track and out on the open road, while also delighting
drivers with its significantly enhanced directional stability and
controllability right up to the limits of performance when driving in
adverse conditions such as in the wet or snow.”

The car’s ability to juggle complete suitability for everyday use on
the one hand and sheer driving pleasure and superb track performance
on the other is down to the M xDrive system’s central intelligent
control capability. When the engine is first started, the all-new BMW
M5 will be in all-wheel-drive mode (4WD) with Dynamic Stability
Control (DSC) switched on. The driver is then able to vary the
handling characteristics of the M5 by activating various driving
dynamics modes, including a rear-wheel-drive mode with no DSC. In this
2WD mode, the all-new BMW M5 allows accomplished drivers to enjoy a
pure-bred form of driving pleasure.

Hard at work under the bonnet of the all-new BMW M5 is the latest and
most advanced version of the 4.4-litre V8 engine featuring M TwinPower
Turbo technology. Output of 441 kW/600 hp and peak torque of 750 Nm
promise supreme propulsive power and formidable performance. The
twin-turbo V8 unit propels the new M5 from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 3.4
seconds, for instance. The task of relaying the drive power falls to
the new eight-speed M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic, which
teams up with the M xDrive system to transfer the high-revving
engine’s turbocharged might to the road to optimum effect in all
driving conditions. The upshot of all this is that the all-new BMW M5
is not just the fastest of all the M5 models built since 1984, but the
most nimble too.

Press Contact: Richa Sharma
Tel: +91-124-4566-655
E-mail: richa.sharma@bmw.in

M5,Press Kit,Product,BMW M

For Indian specifications, please refer to the specification sheet
at the beginning of the attached document.

The BMW R nineT Scrambler.

(Short version).

The new BMW R nineT Scrambler – a down-to-earth character
beyond established conventions.

They were ridden by action heroes on the screen and scores of hobby
racers entered mountain and beach races on them: the Scramblers. With
deep treaded tyres, a raised exhaust, somewhat extended spring travel
and a relaxed seating position, Scramblers offered their riders in the
1950s to 1970s not just motorcycling fun on winding country roads but
also great off-road capability and therefore an extended range of use.
Like the motorcycles themselves, the people who rode Scramblers were
not bound by established conventions. And they could be seen virtually
everywhere: on winding country roads, stony mountain passes and -
where it was allowed - even on sandy beaches.

The history of BMW Motorrad is also rooted in the Scrambler concept.
In 1951, the BMW R 68 was presented at the International Bicycle and
Motorcycle Fair IFMA in Frankfurt with a typical raised 2-in-1
exhaust, just like the one used for racing by BMW Motorrad legend
Georg "Schorsch" Meier. While the standard version of the R
68 had a conventional exhaust installed in a lower position, the
raised exhaust version was already available back then as a BMW
Motorrad accessory. To this day, some owners of this highly valuable
post-war BMW Motorrad classic still like to retrofit the special
Scrambler-style exhaust.

Now BMW Motorrad presents the new BMW R nineT Scrambler, a motorcycle
which revives the Scrambler era in a very special way. It has
everything that defines this motorcycle type, filled with a very
distinct spirit and created for motorcycle fans who love things that
are purist, reduced to the essentials and non-conformist - combined
with the technology and quality of a BMW. Together with the R nineT
Roadster, the BMW Scrambler establishes the new BMW Motorrad Heritage
world of experience.

Potent, air-cooled boxer for vigorous power.

The new BMW Motorrad Scrambler features a classic air-cooled, punchy
flat twin boxer engine, which has stood for hallmark design, powerful
torque and a unique sound for more than nine decades. The R nineT
Scrambler is fitted with the air/oil-cooled boxer with a capacity of 1
170 cc. It delivers an output of

81 kW (110 hp) at 7 750 rpm, develops a maximum torque of 116 Nm at 6
000 rpm and, with the new engine mapping and a fuel system including
carbon canister, meets the requirements of the EU4 pollutant class.

Dynamic Scrambler with versatile character.

With the new Scrambler as with the R nineT, BMW Motorrad has
responded to the desire of many motorcycle fans to be able to modify
their bike creatively according to their own personal taste. The
spectrum of potential alterations ranges from original BMW Motorrad
accessories through to attachments or accessory parts produced by
customisers to create a unique motorcycle.

Raised exhaust in Scrambler style for a sonorous sound.

The raised exhaust with two vertically arranged rear silencers meets
the requirements of a classic Scrambler. It is fitted very close to
the body of the bike, thereby reinforcing its generally slim
appearance. Producing a sonorous boxer sound, it also adheres to the
new noise emission regulation ECE R41-04. A large-size catalytic
converter ensures even more effective exhaust gas cleaning.

Traditional suspension technology with 19-inch front wheel and
a wide range of potential variations.

Similar to the R nineT Roadster, the frame concept is a key aspect in
terms of the Scrambler's extensive customisation capacity. The
specially developed steel tubular space frame integrates the boxer
engine as a load-bearing element and consists of a front section with
integrated steering head and a rear section with swinging arm mount.

The passenger frame can be dismounted, thereby allowing the R nineT
Scrambler to be used either by two people or - for a particularly
stylish appearance - by the rider on their own. In line with the
bike’s active riding character, the suspension geometry of the R nineT
Scrambler is mainly geared towards sound handling and a neutral
cornering response - in other words lots of riding fun on winding
country roads.

In good Scrambler style, front wheel suspension is in the form of a
telescopic fork with rubber gaiters and a spring travel of 125
millimetres. Rear wheel suspension is taken care of by a Paralever
single-sided swinging arm as used in the other boxer models.
Suspension and damping are carried out via a central spring strut. The
spring travel is 140 millimetres. The new BMW Scrambler is fitted with
light alloy cast wheels. In typical Scrambler style it has a large
19-inch front wheel with tyre sizes of 120/70-19 at the front and
170/60-17 at the rear.

In view of the impressive riding dynamics of the R nineT Scrambler,
the brake system - which comes with ABS as standard - is fitted with
4-piston calipers, steel-wrapped brake lines and 320-millimetre brake
discs at the front. At the rear, effective deceleration is ensured by
a single-disc brake with a diameter of 265 millimetres and a 2-piston
floating caliper.

Special ergonomics for a relaxed Scrambler feel.

A relaxed upright seating position is one of the key features of a
Scrambler. For this reason, the ergonomic triangle of
handlebar-seat-footrests has been redefined. With handlebars that are
higher as compared to the R nineT, slightly reduced seat upholstery
and rider footrests that are positioned somewhat lower and further to
the rear, the new model gives the rider a relaxed ride feel.

Purist design, attention to detail and a classic colour concept.

Whether with the standard light alloy cast wheels or the optional
cross-spoke wheels – the new R nineT Scrambler always demonstrates
authentic style. One important design objective was to deliberately
ensure the body features were reduced so as to achieve a purist
appearance. From all angles, the BMW Motorrad Scrambler is defined by
a blend of classic and modern elements of motorcycle design style.

The circular headlamp gives it an expression of freedom, independence
and serenity, while the speedometer with analog display features an in
elaborate style that very much reflects the classic principles applied
to the development of the BMW Scrambler. Eye-catching elements are the
painted 17-litre sheet steel fuel tank and the trim cover made of fine
aluminium sheet with embossed R nineT inscription which runs across
the air intake duct on the right-hand side.

The new member of the BMW Motorrad Heritage world of experience also
conveys its high-quality workmanship in numerous details. These
include the refined aluminium forged parts with glass-bead blasted and
then clear anodised surface or the clamp for the double-butted tubular
handlebars, also made of aluminium and bearing an engraved BMW
Motorrad inscription. The tapered and stitched two-person seat in
patinised leather look in the colour Saddle Brown likewise
demonstrates refined workmanship and the use of high-end materials.

The new BMW R nineT Scrambler is available in the paint finish
Monolith metallic matt. The bike's classic, purist character is
enhanced by black-coated components such as the frame, swinging arm,
wheels, fork slider tubes and engine housing.

for both models:9 km/l; CO2 emissions combined for both models: 258
g/km)* see BMW M GmbH setting the pace once again in the
high-performance Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) and Sports Activity
Coupe (SAC) segment. When the previous generation of the two cars
arrived in 2009, it was the first time the high-performance character
distilled by BMW M GmbH had been transplanted into an all-wheel-drive
BMW X model. The result was class-leading dynamics. The all-new BMW X5
M and BMW X6 M pull no punches in writing the next chapter in this
success story with another significant step forward in dynamic
excellence, emotionally rich M design and outstanding efficiency.

The all-new BMW X5 M and all-new BMW X6 M combine the characteristic
features of the successful BMW X family – exclusivity, robustness,
agility and everyday usability – with the commitment to high
performance that defines an M car. The latter is resoundingly
highlighted by the cars’ impressive performance figures. Both models
complete the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds in conjunction
with the standard eight-speed M Steptronic transmission.

Innovative engine technology.

The new M TwinPower Turbo engine for the BMW X5 M and BMW X6 M is the
most powerful unit ever developed by BMW for an all-wheel-drive
vehicle. Boasting innovative M TwinPower Turbo technology with a pair
of TwinScroll turbochargers, cross-bank exhaust manifolds, VALVETRONIC
and High Precision Direct Petrol Injection, the 4.4-litre V8 produces
maximum output of 423 kW/575 hp between 6,000 and 6,500 rpm. That
represents a four per cent increase over the predecessor models. The
step up is even clearer when it comes to the power development of the
new engine. Peak torque has been boosted by 70 Nm (52 lb-ft), which
equates to a rise of 10 per cent. Its 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) can be
enjoyed across a broad rev range between 2,200 and 5,000 rpm.

At the same time, fuel consumption of the all-new BMW X5 M and BMW X6
M in the EU cycle has been cut by 20 per cent. CO2 emissions are
likewise down by more than 20 per cent, to 258 g/km. The two models
accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds through the standard
eight- speed M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic. Top speed is
limited to 250 km/h (electronically limited).

* Fuel consumption figures were calculated on the basis of the ECE
test cycle, depending on tyre format.

Powerful looks and exclusive equipment.

With their striking use of forms, the all-new BMW X5 M and all-new
BMW X6 M clearly flag up their sporting ambitions. With their
exteriors painted fully in body colour, both models cut a low-slung
figure on the road, while mixed tyres showcase their sporty track
width and lend extra credence to their premium perception. Numerous
exclusive design elements, moreover, elevate the

M models even further than before from the standard BMW X5 and BMW
X6. Large air intakes at the front end, the kidney grille with twin
slats, side gills with a model badge and Air Breathers, M-specific
exterior mirrors in twin-stalk style, a typically M four-tailpipe
exhaust system and a rear spoiler (for the BMW X6 M) give them a
standalone look M fans will immediately recognise. Setting the seal on
this exclusive range of features are M-specific 20-inch light-alloy
wheels with mixed tyres or forged 21-inch M light-alloy wheels (optional).

The high-quality interior impresses with its well-thought-through
combination of sporty features, exclusive materials and flawless
workmanship. Leather trim as standard, the M instrument cluster, M
leather steering wheel with aluminium gearshift paddles and M
Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic – which works in the same way
as the familiar M Double Clutch Transmission

the standard Head-Up Display which, in addition to the standard
system, also includes an M-specific display with gear indicator, rev
band and shift lights.

New BMW X5 M and BMW X6 M customers also have the choice between
various options exclusive to the M models, such as 21-inch M
light-alloy wheels (X6 M) , Merino full-leather trim and M
multifunction seats.

Press Contact: Richa Sharma
Tel: +91-124-4566-655
E-mail: richa.sharma@bmw.in

Press Kit,X5,F85,F86,X5 M,X6 M,Product,BMW,BMW M

Urban all-rounder delivers boundless driving pleasure. The
all- new BMW X1. (Short version)

The new BMW X1 – the successor to the model that blazed the trail for
this class of car – treats the premium compact segment to an even more
potent shot of Sports Activity Vehicle DNA. The second generation of
this successful model, more than 730,000 units of which have now been
sold, takes to the stage with a body design straight out of the BMW X
model mould. The interior of the new BMW X1, meanwhile, offers
significantly more space for passengers and luggage, a cutting-edge
premium ambience and functionality grounded in solid engineering.

Four-cylinder engines from the BMW Group’s latest generation of power
units, an efficiency-optimised version of the BMW xDrive intelligent
all- wheel-drive system and newly developed chassis technology all
help to palpably enhance sporting ability and ride comfort compared to
the outgoing model – with fuel consumption and emissions reduced by up
to 17 per cent, model-on-model.

Alongside its market-leading dynamics and efficiency, a host of
innovative equipment features also help to secure the new BMW X1 its
stand-out position in the segment. There are host of features
prominent ones are full-LED headlights, the BMW Head-Up Display,
Paranoma Sunroof, Navigation Plus with iDrive Touch Controller.

A typical BMW X model: sturdy proportions, impressive
variability and established premium characteristics.

Rugged proportions, a powerful presence and dynamic lines lend the
new BMW X1 a commanding in the BMW X model family. The new model has
grown in height compared to its predecessor (+53 millimetres), which
has helped increase the spaciousness of the interior. And its
significantly raised seating position (+36 millimetres at the front,
+64 millimetres at the rear) optimises the driver’s view out over the road.

Knee room in the rear has increased by 37 millimetres and by up to 66
millimetres with adjustable rear seat, while the 505-litre boot
capacity is 85 litres larger than that of its predecessor which can be
extended to as much as 1,550 litres.

The interior design of the new BMW X1 combines the driver-focused
cockpit design that has become a hallmark of the brand’s models with
touches promoting authoritative, SAV-style driving pleasure and a
contemporary premium ambience.

New generation of engines, efficiency-optimised xDrive
all-wheel- drive system.

The new generation BMW X1 comes with all-new BMW TwinPower Turbo
4-cylinder 2 liter diesel engine (Fuel economy of 20.68 km/l and CO2
emission of 127.89 g/km) with the power output of 140kW(190 hp) @ 4000 rpm.

The engines link up with either 8-Speed Steptronic Automatic
transmission or 8-Speed Steptronic Automatic Sport transmission (incl.
Launch control and Paddle shifts), both of which are new developments.

The xDrive intelligent all-wheel-drive system also takes its place in
the new BMW X1 in a further developed form. The weight-saving, compact
and efficient system uses an electro-hydraulically controlled
multi-plate clutch to distribute drive between the front and rear axle
just as required for the situation at hand.

Premiere in the BMW X1: Head-Up Display and Navigation Plus
with iDrive Touch Controller.

The change of BMW X1 generations also brings significant advances in
the field of intelligent connectivity. A new addition to the range of
BMW ConnectedDrive features is a BMW Head-Up Display which, as in the
larger BMW X models, projects driving-related information directly
onto the windscreen.

The BMW X1 also comes with Navigation Plus with iDrive Touch
controller. Extended functionalities such as distance from
destination, estimate time of arrival etc. along with 22.3cm display
takes the connected drive experience to all new level. These systems
are complemented by an up-to-the-minute selection of apps allowing
customers to add to the car’s comfort, navigation and infotainment
functionality, as desired.

Press Contact: Richa Sharma
Tel: +91-124-4566-655
E-mail: richa.sharma@bmw.in

Press Kit,X1,F49,Product,BMW

Pune. The third generation of the world’s most
successful ‘Sports Activity Vehicle’, the all-new BMW X5, was launched
in India today.

The BMW X5 xDrive30d will be locally produced at BMW Plant Chennai in
diesel variant and will be available at BMW dealerships across India
from June 2014 onwards.

Mr. Philipp von Sahr, President, BMW Group India said, “The BMW X5 –
the founder of the Sports Activity Vehicle segment and globally
best-selling car in its class – is entering a new chapter in its
successful history. The third-generation BMW X5 sees BMW once again
setting the benchmark for powerful design, interior spaciousness and
luxury, versatility, driving pleasure, efficiency and innovative
equipment features. It accentuates the masculine presence and powerful
personality and offers customers an all-round package that meets the
most exacting and varied demands.”

The Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) segment was created by BMW. It
first started with the introduction of the BMW X5 which opened up
totally new dimensions for all-wheel drive vehicles. The BMW X5 was a
Sports Activity Vehicle with off road capabilities that could be
driven like a sports car. The concept of the BMW X5 encompassed the
development of all-terrain models with a clear orientation towards
driving dynamics. The BMW X5 captured the imagination of its customers
with a level of dynamic performance unmatched among its off-road peers.

Mr. Philipp von Sahr, President, BMW Group India said, “A typical day
in the life of a BMW X5 is always different, depending on which part
of the world it calls home. With the all-new BMW X5, you can go just
about anywhere in luxury. The engineers and designers who created it
have enhanced its luxurious character and taken things to a new level.
Exploring the world in the all-new BMW X5 is a joy like no other.”

The all India ex-showroom price of the BMW X5 xDrive30d Design Pure
Experience is INR 70, 90,000.

mirror base in black high gloss; decorative moulding side frame and
window recess covers in satinated aluminum; override guards in
stainless steel in front, side and rear; remote control key with
buttons in chrome and tailpipe finishers in matt chrome.

The all-new BMW X5.

The striking curves and the compelling design of the all-new BMW X5
signify a personality that never fails to announce its one overriding
attribute: supremacy. Its expressive front with Adaptive LED
Headlights and the athletic side contours generate a masculine look
that’s beyond comparison. Air resistance is no match for the
sophisticated aerodynamics of the all-new BMW X5 that greatly improve
the air flow. The wind turbulence at the front wheel arches is greatly
reduced thanks to the Air Curtain on the front apron and the Air
Breather at the front wheel arches. Aerodynamically enhanced exterior
mirrors and the aeroblade on the rear also deliver the lowest drag
coefficient in its class.

The interior of the all-new BMW X5 impresses with the overall sense
of spaciousness, meticulously selected premium materials and excellent
craftsmanship. Inside the cockpit, all the controls, such as the
iDrive Touch Controller, are fully geared towards the driver and the
overall clarity of the design is pleasure to behold.

The seats for driver and front passenger feature lumbar support and a
memory function. Comfort seats in the rear feature particularly
comfortable upholstery and can be individually adjusted in numerous
ways. The third row of seats enables the interior to be used more
flexibly and include two individual fold-down seats facing the
direction of travel. To facilitate entry, the second row of seats can
be folded down using the Easy Entry Function.

The all-new BMW X5 also comes with a two-part tailgate to provide
easy access to smaller luggage items and the lower section opens up to
create a platform capable of supporting up to 250 Kg. The rear
seatback can be reclined in a 40:20:40 split and can also be
completely folded down to increase the compartment capacity to a
massive 1870 litres.

The BMW TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder in-line diesel engine in the
all-new BMW X5 has state-of-the-art fuel injection technologies for
enhanced efficiency, as well as innovative turbocharging technology
for a more dynamic ride. The 3.0 litre diesel engine combines
CommonRail direct injection and a turbo charger with variable turbine
geometry to deliver a power output of 190 kW / 258 hp and an
impressive torque of 560 Nm. It takes just 6.9 seconds to sprint from
0 to 100 km/hr and the top speed is 230 km/h.

The eight-speed Sport automatic transmission performs smooth, almost
imperceptible gear shifts. At any time, in any gear, the transmission
collaborates perfectly with the engine, enabling it to develop its
full power and efficiency.

The ‘Adaptive suspension package Comfort’ combines Dynamic Damper
Control with air cushioning on the rear axle for the ultimate drive comfort.

The all-new BMW X5 comes as standard with BMW xDrive – an intelligent
all-wheel drive system that monitors the driving situation constantly
and distributes drive power smoothly between the axles. BMW xDrive
splits drive variably to the front and rear axles to suit the driving
situation and the surface.

The all-new BMW X5 with cutting-edge safety technologies provides
optimal support in any situation with six air bags, Dynamic Stability
Control (DSC) including Dynamic Traction Control (DTC); Cornering
Brake Control (CBC); Hill Descent Control (HDC); Side-impact
Protection; Electronic vehicle immobiliser and crash sensor.

With BMW EfficientDynamics, the all-new BMW X5 sets benchmark when it
comes to the performance-to-fuel-consumption ratio equipped with a
comprehensive technology package including features such as
Intelligent Lightweight Construction, Automatic Start/Stop function,
Brake Energy Regeneration, Electric Power Steering, 50:50 Weight
Distribution and many other innovative technologies.

The various BMW ConnectedDrive assistance systems are clearly
focussed on one overriding goal: comfort and safety. These include the
next generation of BMW iDrive (the on-board Driver Information System)
with touch controller and handwriting recognition; BMW Navigation
Professional (integrated Global Positioning System – GPS) with 26 cm
colour display and 3D maps; Connectivity through Bluetooth and USB
devices; high-end Surround Sound system from Harman Kardon and BMW
Apps. Park Distance Control (PDC) rear and front along with rear view
camera come as standard features in the all-new BMW X5.
