Gurgaon. MINI India will open pre-launch bookings for the new MINI Cooper S GP Inspired Edition at 1500 Hrs today, 05 May 2026. Deliveries of the same will begin within May 2026.

Based on the Cooper JCW Pack, the MINI Cooper S GP Inspired Edition is a highly exclusive special edition model, limited to just 30 units.

The new MINI Cooper S GP Inspired Edition serves as a bold tribute to MINI’s storied racing heritage, blending track-bred DNA with iconic street style. The new MINI Convertible John Cooper Works Pack launched in India.

Gurgaon. The new MINI Convertible John Cooper Works Pack was launched in India today. The car will be available in the country as a completely built-up unit (CBU) and can be booked at all MINI India dealerships. Deliveries for the same will commence immediately.

The latest generation of MINI Convertible perfectly embodies the brand’s openness. Whether in the city, on winding hills or on the long stretches, the MINI Convertible offers pure freedom and go-kart thrills.

The exterior design of the new MINI Convertible JCW Pack focuses on classic MINI characteristics. The front end shows the typical face of the brand with its iconic round headlights and the newly designed front grille. The exterior colour options Legend Grey or Midnight Black are complemented by mirror caps & Sport Stripes in Black for the Legend Grey Exterior colour. The John Cooper Works trim stands out with unique design features of the Grille, Bumpers, Side Skirts, and Door Entry Sills. The Piano Black Exterior Trim and wheel arches add to the sporty look of the car.

Standard LED headlights have three light signatures to emphasise the car's character. A specially orchestrated welcome and goodbye animation with MINI logo projections on the sides enhances the emotional connection even before you get in. On the side, the clean sporty lines create a striking contrast along with the short overhangs and long proportions. To match the unmistakable driving fun, this MINI is available with aerodynamically optimized 17-inch JCW Sprint Spoke Black alloys. The rear view is characterised by the flush design of the vertically aligned oval shaped LED rear lights. The rear section features a black handle strip with striking model badge, whose horizontal alignment emphasises the MINI Convertible JCW Pack's wide stance.

The high-quality black soft top protects the occupants in all weathers. The electrically folding soft top can be fully opened in 18 seconds, even at speeds of up to 30 km/h. At the same time, the window bars and side windows are lowered to provide a completely unobstructed view of the surroundings. The soft top closes in 15 seconds at the touch of a button. It can also be partially opened to act as a sunroof, to a length of 40 centimetres, regardless of speed. When the top is open, the MINI Convertible JCW Pack has a luggage compartment volume of 160 litres. When closed, it expands to 215 litres.

With its clean shapes and minimalist controls, the interior of the new MINI Convertible JCW Pack evokes the design of the classic Mini. The sportiness is elevated with JCW Sports Seats, Vescin/Cord combination JCW Black upholstery and JCW Dashboard Trim. The new JCW Steering Wheel with paddle shifters adds to the hallmark MINI go-kart feeling. The focal point in the cockpit is the round high-resolution OLED display. Known as the MINI Interaction Unit, it combines the functions of an instrument cluster and a central display.

Like all new-generation MINI models, the MINI Convertible JCW Pack uses MINI Operating System 9. Its intuitive interface is inspired by smartphone apps and feels instantly familiar to users. The MINI Intelligent Personal Assistant (IPA) can be activated by saying “Hey MINI” to control a wide range of functions such as navigation, telephony, entertainment and others. The innovative MINI Digital Key Plus turns the smartphone into a car key via the MINI App and can be transferred to different users, along with their personal vehicle settings. Sports Seats with electric adjustment are covered in Vescin - a high-quality, perforated, artificial leather-free upholstery made from recycled materials. The driver also enjoys the Active Seat for added comfort.

The new MINI Convertible JCW Pack features the innovative and efficient petrol engine powered by the latest MINI TwinPower Turbo technology. It mobilises a peak output of 150 kW/204 hp at 5,000 – 6,500 rpm and produces a maximum torque of 300 Nm at 1450-4500 rpm. The car sprints from 0 – 100 km/hr in just 6.9 seconds and the top speed is 240 km/h. The 7-Speed Double Clutch Steptronic Sport Transmission with Boost Mode offers efficient, comfortable and sporty driving due to a broader gear spread and smaller engine speed steps.

Advanced assistance systems such as Cruise Control and Parking Assistant increase comfort, control and safety and relieve the driver from monotonous and less demanding aspects of driving. Withnew addition of Comfort Access, the car is locked / unlocked automatically as it recognises the key is at a distance of less than 1.5 meters.

The standard MINIMALISM technology includes auto start/stop function, brake energy recuperation, active cooling air ducts and electromechanical power steering. The alloy wheels depending on the variant, radiate confidence while reducing carbon footprint thanks to their lightweight design and use of recycled aluminium.

The new MINI Cooper S Victory Edition launched in India.

Jaipur. The new MINI Cooper S Victory Edition made its debut in India today. The special edition MINI was launched in the country at the newly launched MINI dealership in Jaipur – Sanghi Classic.

The car will be available in the country as a completely built-up unit (CBU) and can be booked at all MINI India authorized dealerships. Deliveries for the same will commence immediately.

No other city has motorsport so deeply rooted in its history than Monte Carlo. MINI has endured tremendous success within the principality, particularly in 1965, when the legendary Mini Cooper S, driven by Timo Mäkinen and co-driver Paul Easter took victory at the 1965 Monte Carlo Rally. In homage to the legendary motorsports colors of the 1960s, the Victory Edition impresses in Chili Red exterior paintwork. This is accentuated by a white trim stripe extending from bonnet to the roof and rear, enhancing the vehicle´s sportiness even further. As an exclusive trademark of the edition, a white “52” graphic adorns both sides of the vehicle – a reference to the number of the original car displayed from 1965. The roof is offered as a panoramic roof in Black, which provides an athletic and elegant contrast to the Chili Red body. The subtle “1965” sticker on the C-pillar catches the eye and gracefully emphasizes the historic year of victory. The 18-inch alloy wheels in the JCW Lap Spoke 2-tone Design not only gives the vehicle a dynamic appearance but also ensures optimum performance and safe handling on a wide variety of road surfaces.

This year’s IAA MOBILITY impressively demonstrates that the desire for individual mobility has never been stronger. Today, more than ever, global success depends on the ability to master new technologies and to anticipate what customers around the world want.

It also takes courage to make bold leaps. A pioneering spirit – to explore new paths. Confidence in your own abilities. And resilience – to stay the course, even in the face of headwinds. And on top it requires a team of nearly 160,000 employees who are passionate about shaping the future of mobility. Then evolution becomes revolution. Vision becomes reality.

You’ll remember that, back in 2021, I promised we would lead BMW into a new era. With the NEUE KLASSE. Today, we deliver on that promise.

Early this decade, we recognized an opportunity; a chance to set new benchmarks across all relevant technologies in the car. It was an opportunity that only comes once in a lifetime. The perfect BMW moment.

With the NEUE KLASSE, we’ve created an unprecedented interplay of multiple, ground-breaking technologies. Now, we are taking Sheer Driving Pleasure to a whole new level. In short: The NEUE KLASSE is more BMW than ever.

And the next highlight is already waiting in the wings. Early next year, we will unveil the second model of the NEUE KLASSE – a sporty sedan at the very core of the brand:

the new all-electric BMW i3.

Welcome ladies and gentlemen!

Yes, the big moment has finally come. As Oliver mentioned, with the Neue Klasse we are taking very big steps in technology. These bigger steps in technology can only become meaningful hand in hand with big steps in design. The BMW iX3 has a much bigger range helped by a very clean shape with excellent aerodynamics.

In the interior you will find a new display concept that allowed us to clean-up the dashboard and completely redefine the driving experience.

But let‘s look at the exterior design first: We have typical solid BMW SAV proportions with a lot of presence and emphasis on all four wheels. The surfaces are very clean with only a few precise lines. The front-end shows a new interpretation of the BMW typical face in which we replace chrome with light. Vertically oriented kidneys match the more upright overall appearance of our SAV. This new light signature is part of the daytime running light and it will make the new BMW iX3 very recognizable by day and by night. Overall, the car has a very solid stance and strong shoulders and, in the rear, again a new light signature that emphasizes the width of the car.

In the interior you will find that the driving experience is and will remain our focus, putting the driver at ease and in control! The key element to this is our all-new BMW Panoramic Vision which projects in the bottom of the windscreen and builds upon our years of experience with head-up displays. This new display is visible for all passengers on board and will allow you to quickly check the information you want and need while keeping your hands on the wheel and your focus on the road ahead. Together with our new free cut central display and iconic steering wheel these elements are the corner stones of our new Panoramic

iDrive system, a whole new driving experience that you will find in all our future BMW models from now on!

This new user experience already starts when you approach the car and continues as you get in and set the car up to your personal preferences. With My Modes you can do that very easily and select a perfectly curated driving experience – from screen content or colors to light and sound and even driving characteristics.

So, our new Operating System X focuses on the best driving experience but will also allow you a much higher level of personalization making your new BMW truly yours! Overall, the new digital aspects of our cars will make them more intelligent and easier to use.

At the same time, this has allowed us to design much cleaner and warmer interiors, creating very personal living environments on four wheels. The interior trim “Digital White” is spacious and modern.

So, starting with the BMW iX3 we are introducing a new form language that will lead to a new look and feel for the entire BMW brand. Our designs will be very clean and at the same time very strong in character, but above all: more BMW than ever!

Let’s now move on to MINI, which celebrated its very own game-changing moment already last year with the introduction of a completely new product range.

The “New MINI Family”, covering the most desirable and broad product portfolio in the brand's history, now features four very distinct models - Convertible, Cooper, Aceman and Countryman. And regarding the drivetrain, MINI customers of course have the choice between all-electric or highly efficient combustion engines.

Clever use of space, wheels at the corner, go-cart feeling, combined with true Britishness and maximum individuality. That's how MINI became the world's most successful premium small car brand. Driving a MINI has always been a confident personal statement. In this way, MINI has inspired numerous celebrities and designers throughout its 66-years long history.

And today, we are writing the next exciting chapter in this tradition. Partnering with a brand that stands for customization and thinking out of the box like few others. I am talking about Deus Ex Machina!

The outcome of this inspiring and exceptional partnership are two stunning John Cooper Works models – fraternal twins with very different styles, yet united by a shared enthusiasm.

Leading the Charge: BMW Group India races past 5,000 electric deliveries.

Gurugram. BMW Group India has raced past 5,000 electric car deliveries, becoming the first Indian luxury car company to achieve this milestone. Celebrating this landmark, BMW Group India took another step towards progress of charging infrastructure by inaugurating a high-power charging corridor, running 4,000 kms from North to South across the nation.

Mr. Vikram Pawah, President and CEO, BMW Group India said, "BMW Group India is immensely proud to become the first luxury carmaker to cross the remarkable milestone of 5,000 electric vehicle deliveries. This achievement is not just a number, it represents our unwavering commitment to e-mobility and pioneering spirit in the premium EV landscape. At BMW, luxury and performance is delivered seamlessly with sustainability, and our electric products embody this philosophy. In this journey, we will continue to delight our customers with the most electrifying products and services that provide complete peace of mind. To mark this milestone, we are happy to introduce our high-power charging corridor. Across the length of the nation, from Jammu to Madurai, EV customers can now just sit back and enjoy Sheer Driving Pleasure without a second thought.”

The corridor covers a stretch of 4,000 kms with chargers at every 300 kms, ensuring smooth electric movement without any concerns for range or charging availability. The route strategically covers national highways and major cities like Delhi-Jaipur-Ahmedabad-Mumbai-Pune-Hubbali-Bengaluru-Coimbatore-Madurai. To promote higher adoption and convenience of e-mobility, BMW Group India has opened the access to customers of all EV brands in the country.

In-app and in-car digital integration will offer live charger status, setting charging partner preferences, filtering chargers basis capacity, information on nearby amenities and more. The station capacity will range from 120kW to up to 720kW. The locations have been chosen mindfully where customers can make a quick stop for a coffee or hot meal at nearby public spaces while their vehicle is charged or simply enjoy the in-car entertainment features of BMW EVs. The charging stations will be operated in partnership with leading operators like Statiq and Zeon.

Combined with close to 300 BMW Destination Chargers at premium hotels, resorts and malls, this new corridor will offer a perfect blend of BMW public charging ecosystem for inter-city and intra-city travel.

Overall, BMW Group India offers more than 6,000 convenient charging points through strategic partnerships with some of the largest public charging networks in India. All of these can be easily found and accessed through the myBMW app.

With the industry-first BMW Charging Concierge, customers can access on-call assistance for planning longer journeys through route recommendation based on active chargers. The Charging Concierge allows them to activate these chargers by prepaying for usage with a unified payment gateway, without the hassle of downloading multiple apps.

BMW Group is a pioneer in electric mobility in India, having taken early steps in launching various electric vehicles synonymous with luxury, performance and sustainability. Today, the company offers the widest range of luxury electric cars and scooters including the BMW i7, BMW iX, BMW i5, BMW i4, BMW iX1 Long Wheelbase, MINI Countryman E, BMW CE 04 and BMW CE 02.

For last three years, BMW Group India is the undisputed leader in luxury EV sales in India. In H1 2025 (Jan – Jun), this lead continued with 1,322 BMW and MINI EVs sold. The company achieved enormous +234% growth in EV sales in the first half of the year. Electric cars now hold 18% share in total sales of BMW Group India. BMW Group India records highest-ever H1 car deliveries, on fast-track with 10% growth.

Gurugram. Propelling its robust performance in the current year, BMW Group India has posted its highest-ever car deliveries in H1 2025. The company sold 7,774 BMW and MINI cars and 2,569 motorcycles between January to June 2025. BMW sold 7,477 units and MINI 297 units.

In the second quarter (April – June), each month recorded best-ever sales.

BMW Group Electric Vehicles (EV)

For last three years, BMW Group India is the leader in luxury EV sales in India. In H1 2025, this lead continues with 1,322 BMW and MINI EVs sold. At the start of the year, BMW Group India announced many new initiatives for its EV customers including services like BMW Destination Charging, Smart E-Routing and Charging Concierge. Combined with complimentary Wallbox chargers and 24x7 open access to the company’s fast-charging dealership network across the country, customers are able to embrace progressive e-mobility with complete peace of mind. BMW Group India currently offers six electric cars and two scooters - BMW i7, BMW iX, BMW i5, BMW i4, BMW iX1 Long Wheelbase, MINI Countryman E, BMW CE 04 and BMW CE 02. Stunning performance and driving dynamics are hallmark of the entire EV portfolio and each model stands for next level digitalisation and sustainability.

BMW Long Wheelbase Range

The long wheelbase BMW models saw a massive growth of +159% in H1 2025. This includes the BMW 7 Series, BMW 5 Series, BMW 3 Series and BMW iX1. BMW long wheelbase models today account for 47% share in total sales. Strategically positioning these models across its portfolio, BMW Group India proactively ascertained customers’ needs and provided the ideal luxury product in each segment. The BMW 5 Series was the highest-selling BMW sedan in H1 with close to 20% share in sales. Meanwhile, the BMW 3 Series retained the class-leading position in Indian premium sedan segment.

BMW Luxury Class

BMW Luxury Class consists of flagship cars such as the BMW 7 Series, BMW i7, BMW X7 and BMW XM. Reigning at the absolute pinnacle of BMW’s luxury world, these bespoke sedans and SAVs are the subject of highest aspiration and admiration among Indian luxury clientele. The BMW 7 Series and BMW i7 are leading in their respective segments while the BMW X7 has crossed the notable milestone of over 5,000 deliveries since launch.

BMW Sports Activity Vehicles (SAV)

BMW SAVs recorded a double-digit growth of +17% in H1 2025. Compared to 56% in Q1, their share in sales increased to 59% in Q2. BMW X1 was the highest selling SAV not just for BMW (over 30% share in sales), but in the Indian premium compact segment. The next most admired BMW SAV in H1 was the powerful BMW X5.

MINI

MINI delivered 297 units in H1 2025. MINI Cooper S was the highest-selling model and saw growth of over +60% as compared to H1 2024. Both the MINI Cooper S and the MINI Countryman E enjoyed almost equal share in sales.

BMW Motorrad

BMW Motorrad delivered 2,569 motorcycles in H1 2025. The BMW G 310 RR was most popular smart-cc bike. In the GS adventure world, the BMW 900 GS / GSA and the BMW 1300 GS / GSA were the best-selling models. In the super sports segment, the BMW S 1000 RR commanded the top spot.

Retail.NEXT: Immersive retail concept transforming customer experience

With launch of Retail.NEXT, BMW Group India aims to create a future-forward retail space that not only showcases its vehicles but also embodies the brand’s commitment to luxury, innovation, and customer satisfaction. Retail.NEXT entails new design, new digital tools, new roles, and new processes. With a total investment of INR 365.6 crores, Retail.NEXT will be implemented across 56 facilities in 33 cities.

Gurugram. MINI India announced the launch of the new MINI Countryman E John Cooper Works Pack. The car will be available as a completely built-up unit (CBU) and can exclusively be booked on the MINI Online Shop (shop.mini.in). Only 20 units of this limited edition MINI will be available for sale - deliveries will begin on 10^th June 2025.

The electrified third generation MINI Countryman, now with the John Cooper Works Pack combines progressive technology with sportiness of the JCW Pack, along with the basic principles of MINI body language and origins. Gurugram. In a unique initiative for its customers, MINI India has announced a price protection assurance program for the MINI 3-Door Cooper S. The program is designed to provide complete peace of mind and pass on the benefits of any price reduction in the near future.

The price protection program is valid on the MINI 3-Door Cooper S which is available in India as a Completely Built-up Unit. The model is produced at MINI Plant Oxford in United Kingdom.

Under the limited period offer, cars bought from now onwards will be covered till the next 180 days. If price is reduced during this period, the respective dealership will refund the differential amount between the net invoiced price and the new ex-showroom price back to the customer. The current ex-showroom price of the MINI 3-Door Cooper S starts at INR 44,90,000. The offer can be availed at any authorised MINI dealership in India.

The other model of the new MINI family – the all-electric MINI Countryman – is not covered under the offer. It is available in India as a Completely Built-up Unit and is produced at BMW Group Plant Leipzig in Germany.

BMW Group India continues its trailblazing performance. Highest-ever annual car sales of 15,721 units with +11% growth.

Gurugram. Writing a new chapter of success, BMW Group India has achieved its best-ever annual car deliveries with 11% growth. The company delivered 15,721 cars (BMW and MINI) and 8,301 motorcycles (BMW Motorrad) between January – December 2024. BMW sold 15,012 units and MINI 709 units.

BMW sales clocked the highest Q4 (4,958 units | +15%) and highest December sales as well (2,244 units | +17%).

BMW Luxury Class (BMW 7 Series, BMW i7, BMW X7 and BMW XM)

2024 recorded the highest ever sales of BMW Luxury Class in India (2,507 units | +8%). BMW Luxury Class is the flagship range and the ultimate mark of exclusivity for Indian customers. Nearly every fifth car that BMW sold in India in 2024 was a top-of-the-range model. In 2024, BMW X7 was one again the highest-selling Luxury Class model (1,570 units | +4%). Since its launch, more than 5,000 units of the BMW X7 have been delivered in India. The BMW 7 Series leads the epitome of luxury in its segment (865 units | +15%).

BMW Group Electric Vehicles (EV)

BMW Group India upheld its top position in the electric mobility space for the third consecutive year. Thanks to the widest and most attractive range of electric vehicles in luxury segment, complimented by a strong charging network and host of new services, BMW Group India remains the most desirable choice for luxury EVs. In 2024, 1,249 units of fully electric BMW and MINI cars were delivered. i7 was the largest selling EV in its class with 384 units.

BMW Group India also crossed 3,000 EV deliveries till date, becoming the first luxury car manufacturer in the country to reach this milestone. BMW iX is the most popular luxury EV in India with over 1,100 units sold till date. BMW Group India offers six electric cars and two electric scooters in India - BMW i7, BMW iX, BMW i5, BMW i4, BMW iX1, MINI Countryman Electric, BMW CE 04 and BMW CE 02.

BMW Sports Activity Vehicles

BMW Sports Activity Vehicles (SAV) contributed 56% to sales with 8,351 units. Deliveries of SAVs rose by +16%, as they offer unparalleled dynamism, space and comfort for an active lifestyle and the ability to dominate any kind of road. BMW X5 posted its highest annual sales till date (2,056 units | +89%). BMW X1 was the most popular SAV with over 20% share in sales and also the highest selling car in Indian premium compact SAV segment.

BMW Long Wheelbase Range

The highly successful long wheelbase range of BMW India was in tremendous demand in 2024. BMW offers the largest portfolio of long wheelbase models in the luxury segment including the BMW 7 Series, BMW 5 Series and BMW 3 Series. These models are a prime choice as they bring the highest degree of luxury, space, comfort and performance and are perfectly suited for different requirements. The BMW 3 Series was the highest selling sedan with 20% share in sales and also a class-leader in its segment. The all-new BMW 5 Series Long Wheelbase, the most aspirational business sedan in India, garnered over 1,000 deliveries in less than six months of launch.

BMW M

2024 was a big year for BMW M in India with eight new launches including seven M cars and one M motorcycle. M cars deliveries increased to 875 units. BMW M340i was the highest selling M model. Since its introduction, more than 1,000 BMW M340i have been sold in India. The engineering brilliance of BMW M represents precision, agility, and the exhilarating thrill of high-performance driving.

MINI

MINI delivered 709 units in 2024. The MINI 3-Door Cooper S posted its highest-ever sales at 250 units with +77% growth.

BMW Motorrad

BMW Motorrad delivered 8,301 motorcycles in 2024. BMW Motorrad registered the highest-ever half-yearly sales (July – December) (4687 units | +14%). At 1,041 units, the brand also achieved best-ever annual sales of its completely built-up bike portfolio.

With the widest and most attractive range of electric vehicles in the luxury segment, BMW Group India maintains its top position in the electric mobility space. 725 units of fully electric BMW and MINI cars were delivered YTD Q3 2024. BMW i7 was the largest selling BMW EV.

New Delhi. The new MINI family has found a new home in India with the launch of the new MINI Cooper S and the new all-electric MINI Countryman. The cars will be available as completely built-up units (CBU) and can be booked at all MINI authorised dealers across the country as well as shop.mini.in. Deliveries will begin from September 2024.

The fifth generation MINI Cooper S and the electrified third generation MINI Countryman combine progressive technology with basic principles of MINI body language and origins. Together, they pack an innovative punch with a new personality and hallmark driving dynamics.

The new interior experience is mainly created by the textile surfaces. A specially developed knitting process is used to create the easy-care, versatile structure of the two-tone textile. The dashboard and door panels are completely chrome-free and leather-free, using recycled 2D knitted fabric lining. The textile surface is made luminescent by ambient lighting and projections from the MINI Interaction Unit that make even rush hour relaxing. The classic round headlights, striking octagonal grille and compact silhouette are the dominant features of the new MINI COOPER S, making the model the characteristic face of MINI. The new MINI Cooper S offers the innovative and efficient petrol engine powered by the latest MINI TwinPower Turbo technology. It is now even more present, more spacious and more stable. The versatile and powerful electric drive make it a perfect companion for unbridled driving fun even off the beaten track. With 150 kW/204 hp and a maximum torque of 250 Nm, the all-electric MINI Countryman sprints from 0-100 km in 8.6 seconds. It is powered by a lithium-ion battery with gross capacity of 66.45 kWh and has ample WLTP* driving range (combined) of up to 462 kms. Gurugram. MINI India has opened pre-launch bookings for the new MINI Cooper S and the new all-electric MINI Countryman.

MINI India will launch the new MINI Cooper S and the new all-electric MINI Countryman on 24 July 2024.

The new MINI Cooper S and the new all-electric MINI Countryman represent the new MINI family. As a 3-door model in its fifth generation, the new MINI Cooper underscores the brand’s tradition with its hallmark MINI design and stands for urban driving fun. The new MINI Countryman has grown in external dimensions and offers its passengers even more space, comfort, and safety. The interplay of the purely electric drive and innovative technologies combines locally emission-free mobility and an immersive user experience.

BMW Group India Attains Highest-Ever Half-Yearly Car Sales.

Gurugram. BMW Group India has posted a strong performance in the first half of 2024 (January – June). BMW Group India delivered 7,098 cars (BMW and MINI) and 3,614 motorcycles (BMW Motorrad). BMW sold 6,734 units and MINI 364 units.

BMW Group India experienced a +21% increase in car sales (BMW + MINI) in the first half of the year, fuelled by high demand for its sports activity vehicles, luxury class and electric cars.

BMW Group India electric vehicles have once again emerged as the top choice of luxury consumers when it comes to sustainable mobility. 397 units of fully electric BMW and MINI cars were sold in the first six months. BMW i7 was the largest selling BMW EV in H1, reflecting the rising attraction of sustainable mobility in high-end circle.

BMW Group India is the first luxury car manufacturer in the country to cross the milestone of over 2,000 EV deliveries till date. BMW iX is the most popular luxury EV in India with over 1,000 units sold till date. Possessing the most elaborate EV range in the luxury market with great product substance is a key factor in meeting diverse consumer preferences. BMW Group India now offers six EVs in India - BMW i7, BMW iX, BMW i5, BMW i4, BMW iX1 and MINI SE. In July, this range will expand further with launch of MINI Countryman E and BMW CE 04, the first electric two-wheeler by BMW Motorrad India.

BMW Luxury Class vehicles registered impressive growth of +17%, contributing 18% to total sales. The BMW X7 was the highest-selling Luxury Class model.

BMW Sports Activity Vehicles (SAV) contributed 54% to sales, posting a solid growth of +24%.

BMW X1 was the most popular SAV with around 19% share in sales.

BMW 3 Series was once again the highest selling BMW sedan with a 17% share.

Gurugram. The MINI Shadow Edition was launched in India today. Locally produced at BMW Group Plant Chennai, the MINI Shadow Edition in Petrol is based on the MINI Countryman Cooper S JCW Inspired. Only 24 units are available and can be booked exclusively on shop.mini.in.

The ex-showroom price* of the MINI Shadow Edition is INR 49,00,000.

The MINI Shadow Edition features unique Shadow Edition Bonnet Scoop decals, Front Fender decals, Side Scuttles, Door Entry Sills, and Shadow Edition Stickers on roof above C-pillars. The Shadow Edition features sporty 18-inch Grip Spoke Alloy Wheels and the John Cooper Works Aerodynamics Kit, as well as Leather Chester Malt Brown Upholstery, Electric Seat Adjustment for Driver and Front Passenger, Panorama Sunroof, Wired Package, Apple CarPlay®, Multifunctional Instrument Display and Harman Kardon Hi-Fi Sound System as standard.

The MINI Shadow Edition.

Exterior of the MINI Shadow Edition is all-black with melting silver roof and mirror caps. Just like a midnight black sky with a silver lining, this new MINI Countryman Edition isn’t just black, it’s metallic, glossy and monochromatic. The Piano Black Exterior trim along with special double matt paint on exterior decals and subtle elements of the Shadow Edition adds an air of mystery. Depending on your point of view shadows appear on different elements as the light breaks differently.

The interior style blends modern aesthetics and refined craftsmanship with practical functionality. The MINI Shadow Edition comes with MINI Yours Interior Style Shaded Silver and Leather Chester Malt Brown upholstery. The colour lines seen along the door panel, armrest surfaces and knee pads under the dashboard are matched with the upholstery colours. The MINI Excitement Pack features LED interior and ambient lighting which illuminates the cockpit with a choice of selectable colours as well as a projection of the MINI logo from the exterior mirror on the driver's side when opening and closing the car door.

The car is equipped with premium features such as the Harman Kardon Hi-Fi Speaker System, Panorama Glass Sunroof, MINI Wired Package including MINI Navigation System with Touch Controller and Bluetooth mobile connectivity.

The Multifunction Digital Display offers a clear view of speed, gear, fuel level, mileage, temperature and navigation instructions. The iconic circular central instrument panel is surrounded by an LED ring offering a brilliant colour display in 8.8-inch/22.35 cm touchscreen. The intuitive use is complemented by the controller on the middle console for easy operation of multimedia, phone and car functions. Wireless charging is also offered as standard.

The electric seat adjustment in front (with memory function for driver) offers enhanced head and shoulder space for both the driver and front passenger. The three full-fledged seats at the rear make for ample and comfortable seating for rear passengers. Using the cargo function, boot capacity can be increased from 450 litres to 1,390 litres by folding down the rear backrest with its 40:20:40 split. The MINI Shadow Edition can be parked at a scenic space and the view can be enjoyed with the unique Picnic Bench that folds out of the luggage compartment to provide seating space for two while protecting the clothing with a fender dirt protection flap. Automatic Tailgate combined with Comfort Access System allows the boot to be opened and closed just by waving the foot under the rear bumper.

When it comes to power, the MINI Shadow Edition makes no compromises. It is powered by the latest MINI TwinPower Turbo Technology offering outstanding performance and efficiency. The 2-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine with TwinPower Turbo Technology makes the MINI Shadow Edition high on performance and light on fuel. It mobilises a peak output of 178 hp/131 kW at 5,000 – 6,000 rpm and produces a maximum torque of 280 Nm at 1,350 – 4,600 rpm. It sprints to 100 km/hr in 7.5 seconds and the top speed is 225 km/hr.

The 7-Speed Double Clutch Steptronic Sport Transmission offers even more efficient, comfortable and sporty driving due to a broader gear spread and smaller engine speed steps. The MINI Shadow Edition features paddle shifters for an even sportier driving experience.

MINI Driving Modes enable an individualised vehicle set-up focusing on ride comfort, enhanced sportiness or efficiency according to driver’s preference. In addition to the standard MID mode there is a choice of SPORT and GREEN mode. Driver Assistance Systems include Cruise Control, Park Distance Control, and Rear View Camera.

The MINI Shadow Edition is stacked with cutting-edge safety technology. The standard safety equipment comprises of 3-Point Seat Belts, front and passenger airbags, Brake Assist, Crash Sensor, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Cornering Brake Control, Emergency Spare Wheel and Run-flat indicator as standard. The standard MINIMALISM technology includes auto start/stop function and electromechanical power steering.

URBAN-X by MINI introduced in India.

Gurugram. MINI India announced the launch of URBAN-X by MINI in India. URBAN-X supports Indian urban tech startups for the first time under the global MINI Impact Program. The program supports early-stage startups working to make life in cities more sustainable, livable, and resilient. The program extends to India for the first time along with seven other countries including Brazil, Mexico, South Africa, Portugal, France, Spain and Germany.

Delhi NCR. The all-new MINI Countryman was unveiled today at the Auto Expo 2018 in India.

Locally-produced at BMW Group Plant Chennai, the all-new MINI Countryman will be available in three variants: two petrol variants - MINI Countryman Cooper S and MINI Countryman Cooper S JCW Inspired as well as one diesel variant - MINI Countryman Cooper SD. Deliveries will begin from June 2018 onwards and ex-showroom prices will be announced accordingly.

The award is conferred to the dealer partner who has excelled in all parameters of business performance and gets to keep the trophy for a year.
