<p> </p>
<p>The all-new BMW iX M60, which broke cover earlier this year and will
  bring a new level of electrified performance to the segment, will
  launch in New Zealand in the middle of 2022. </p>
<p>The iX M60 is the third variant in the BMW iX line-up and represents
  the latest fully electric offering from the BMW M high performance
  brand following the BMW i4 M50, which will launch in New Zealand in June. </p>
<p>Launches of the iX M60 and i4 M50 models are significant developments
  in a year when BMW M celebrates its 50th anniversary. </p>
<p>The output figures and performance capability of the iX M60 are
  befitting of BMW M, with up to 455kW and 1100Nm of torque.</p>
<p>The all-new model accelerates from zero to 100km/h in just
  3.8-seconds and has a top speed of 250km/h.  </p>
<p>Its towering straight-line ability is complemented by multiple
  elements to enhance dynamic potential and body control, including
  electric all-wheel-drive, a highly responsive actuator-based wheel
  slip limitation and suspension technology integrating BMW M
  specifically tuned dual-axle air suspension with automatic level control.</p>
<p>The iX M60 will additionally offer 566 kilometres of driving range
  according to the WLTP test cycle.</p>
<p>
  <strong> </strong></p>
<p>
  <strong>Ideal platform for honed sports activity vehicle performance <br /></strong></p>
<p>The BMW iX provides an optimum foundation for an all-electric sports
  activity vehicle (SAV) featuring high-performance characteristics.</p>
<p>Both the body structure and suspension set-up are geared towards
  combining superior ride comfort with sporty handling characteristics.</p>
<p>The aluminium spaceframe concept and the carbon cage with carbon
  fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) in the roof, side and rear sections
  represent an intelligent mix of materials that combine increased
  rigidity with optimised weight.</p>
<p>The use of CFRP to reduce weight has a long tradition at BMW M GmbH.
  The high-tech material achieved notable results in combining engine
  performance and low weight in the legendary BMW M3 CSL, which launched
  in 2003. <br />
  <br />Use of the material in the CSL meant BMW M GmbH was the first to
  adopt CFRP in large-scale automotive production. Today, a carbon fibre
  roof and other components made from CFRP are integral to the
  lightweight construction principle of numerous BMW M vehicles. </p>
<p>The BMW iX M60’s performance, efficiency and range also benefit from
  its optimised aerodynamic properties.</p>
<p>The high-voltage battery is located deep down in the underbody,
  lowering the vehicle's centre of gravity to deliver agile handling and
  balanced axle load distribution.</p>
<p>This means the performance characteristics of the BMW iX M60 are not
  only characterised by spontaneous acceleration but also by outstanding
  cornering dynamics and handling that can be precisely controlled at
  all times.</p>
<p>The perfectly balanced driving characteristics give the BMW iX M60 a
  confident and light-footed feel at all speeds. It can also be driven
  at the physical limits and provide the driver clear feedback in
  typical BMW M style.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
  <strong>First BMW M offering based on the new future modular system<br /></strong></p>
<p>The BMW iX M60 combines its typical M performance characteristics
  with the exceptionally advanced technology of the BMW Group's new
  future modular system in the areas of driver assistance, operation,
  connectivity and digital services.</p>
<p>This creates an experience of premium mobility unique in the
  competitive environment. The completely redeveloped interior
  architecture also contributes to this approach, creating a generous
  feeling of space.</p>
<p>As with the two other iX model variants, the BMW iX M60 features the
  most extensive range of standard equipment ever offered by BMW in the
  field of driving technology systems as well as numerous innovations.</p>
<p>A new generation of sensors, a new software stack and a powerful
  computing platform also provide considerable potential for
  consistently advancing automated driving and parking functions.</p>
<p>The latest generation iDrive display and control system expands the
  interaction between driver and vehicle, allowing natural dialogue.</p>
<p>It is based on the new BMW Operating System 8 and has been designed
  with a clear focus on the touch function of the new BMW Curved Display
  and voice communication with the extensively enhanced BMW Intelligent
  Personal Assistant.</p>
<p>Remote Software Upgrades will offer the possibility to install new
  and improved vehicle functions over-the-air via the BMW New Zealand
  ConnectedDrive store.</p>
<p>Navigation with the cloud-based BMW Maps system and Augmented Reality
  Video on the Control Display ensure fast and precise route planning as
  well as traffic guidance. The BMW iX is also a pioneer in data
  transmission, adopting 5G capable connectivity.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
  <strong>Latest battery cell technology and innovative charging system </strong></p>
<p>The BMW iX M60 features a high-voltage 112kWh EV battery with high
  energy density and outstanding qualities when it comes to performance,
  charging and discharging behaviour, durability and safety.</p>
<p>The Combined Charging Unit (CCU) of the BMW iX M60 was designed for
  particularly flexible charging.</p>
<p>It can charge alternating current (AC) with a power of up to 11kW,
  while direct current (DC) can be charged at a rate of up to 200kW.</p>
<p>For example, the battery charge level in the BMW iX M60 can be raised
  from 10 to 80 percent in around 35 minutes. In addition, range con be
  increased by up to 150 kilometres in just 10 minutes at a DC
  fast-charging station starting with a battery charge level of 10 percent.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
  <strong>Clear design language, innovative feeling of space and
    comprehensive standard equipment</strong></p>
<p> </p>
<p>The iX M60’s powerful proportions, reduced surface design and precise
  details characterise the clear exterior look and give the vehicle a
  distinctive presence.</p>
<p>Its high performance character is underlined by aesthetic touches
  including brake callipers of the sports brake system painted in dark
  blue with M logo and BMW Individual Titanium Bronze Exterior Line and
  M logos in the new High Gloss Black/Titanium Bronze finish on the
  front side panels and the rear of the vehicle. </p>
<p>New 22-inch aerodynamic alloy wheels with an exclusive Titanium
  Bronze design will also be available for the iX M60. </p>
<p>The spacious, high-quality and innovatively designed interior helps
  the driver concentrate while also providing a high level of travel
  comfort and feel of progressive luxury.</p>
<p>Multifunction seats with integrated headrests, the large BMW Curved
  Display, hexagonal steering wheel and anthracite-coloured roof liner
  are all designed to further enhance driving pleasure.</p>
<p>Absence of the centre tunnel creates additional legroom as well as
  space for storage and a centre console designed in the style of a
  high-quality piece of furniture.</p>
<p>The no-cost optional Suite interior includes olive leaf extract
  tanned natural leather seats, instrument panel, centre console and
  door trim surfaces, as well as Gold Bronze surfaces and controls.</p>
<p>An M logo is shown in the left-hand area of the information display
  regardless of the selected display layout and the activated My Mode.</p>
<p>The exclusive character of the BMW iX M60 is further emphasised by
  its exceptionally comprehensive level of standard equipment. Among
  other elements, it includes BMW Live Cockpit Professional and BMW
  Natural Interaction, which allows functions to be operated using
  speech and gestures.</p>
<p>In addition, it will offered as standard with Bowers & Wilkins
  Diamond Surround Sound System, BMW Laserlight, Interior Applications
  Clear&Bold, Parking Assistant Professional, Interior Camera,
  Comfort Access and the Heat Comfort Package as an option.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
  <strong>Holistic sustainability concept <br />
    <br /></strong></p>
<p>Responsibly sourced resources throughout the entire value chain and
  the maximum reduction of the CO2 footprint throughout the product life
  cycle are clear reminders of BMW i’s understanding of forward-looking
  premium mobility.</p>
<p>This holistic approach is consistently implemented in vehicle
  development, throughout the supply chain and in the production of the
  BMW iX M60. The BMW i brand stands for both ecological and social sustainability.</p>
<p>The supply of cobalt and lithium required for the high-voltage
  batteries is procured by the BMW Group from controlled sources in
  Australia and Morocco and delivered to the battery cell manufacturers.
  The design principle of the electric motors makes it possible to
  dispense with the use of rare earth metals in the rotors of the
  drives. In addition, the company acquires aluminium produced using
  electricity from solar energy plants.</p>
<p>One hundred per cent green electricity is used for manufacturing the
  vehicles as well as for manufacturing battery cells. A high proportion
  of secondary aluminium and recycled plastic also contributes to the
  resource-efficient production of the BMW iX M60.</p>
<p>Interior aspects include FSC-certified wood and other natural
  materials, while recycled fishing nets serve as raw material for the
  floor coverings and floor mats.</p>
<p>
  <strong> </strong></p>
<p>

<p>
  <strong> </strong></p>
<p>The all-new BMW 2 Series Coupé, which broke cover at the Goodwood
  Festival of Speed earlier this year, will arrive in New Zealand at the
  end of 2021.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Performance loving BMW fans will be delighted to hear that the 2
  Series Coupé will be offered exclusively in its top form, the M240i xDrive.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The model starts a new chapter in the long and rich history of
  sport-focused compact models that began 55 years ago with the
  legendary BMW 02.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The new 2 Series Coupé seamlessly brings together an athletic design,
  powerful engines and highly sophisticated chassis technology to
  deliver an engaging driving experience.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Components and technology sourced from the new BMW 4 Series combine
  with the model-specific development program to lay the foundations for
  outstanding performance attributes.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>For the first time on the 2 Series, BMW’s advanced xDrive
  all-wheel-drive system is paired to a BMW TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder
  engine for outstanding all-weather usability.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>As well as notable gains in dynamic prowess, the new BMW 2 Series
  Coupé also offers a premium cabin ambience and cutting-edge
  innovations in the areas of operation and connectivity.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Advances made over the predecessor model are also reflected in the
  availability of a wider range of sophisticated driver assistance systems.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
  <strong>A vehicle concept with its sights set on sporting prowess</strong></p>
<p> </p>
<p>The fresh and youthful aura of the new BMW 2 Series Coupé is
  complemented by an extensively engineered platform that offers honed
  driving attributes.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Its vehicle concept is geared squarely to offering agile and
  precisely controllable handling in highly dynamic situations.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The combination of compact dimensions, lightweight design, an up to
  12 per cent increase in static torsional rigidity, 50:50 weight
  distribution and optimised aerodynamics create the ideal blueprint for
  a vehicle character that majors in sporting excellence.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The agility, steering precision and cornering dynamics of the new BMW
  2 Series Coupé represent a significant step forward.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>At the same time, optimised ride comfort and acoustics enhance the
  car’s abilities both in everyday driving and over long-distance journeys.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
  <strong>Distinctive proportions, athletic forms</strong></p>
<p> </p>
<p>The exterior dimensions of the new compact sports model provide the
  ideal starting point for outstanding driving dynamics.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>A vehicle length of 4,537mm and width of 1,838mm represent 105mm and
  64mm increases over the corresponding measurements of the predecessor model.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>However, the new car stands 28mm lower, with a vehicle height of just 1,390mm.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Other factors in the athletic appearance of the new BMW 2 Series
  Coupé are its wheelbase, which is now 51mm longer at 2,741mm, as well
  as the wide tracks.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Track widths of 1,575mm (an increase of 63mm) at the front axle and
  1,587mm (an increase of 35mm) at the rear axle are ideal for excellent
  cornering dynamics.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Athletically sculpted surfaces and dynamic lines that follow the
  brand’s new design language represent an expression of pure driving pleasure.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
  <strong>Eye-catching front end, headlights and BMW kidney grille with
    exclusive design</strong></p>
<p> </p>
<p>Three-dimensional surfaces, triangular forms and diagonal lines
  characterise the striking front end of the new BMW 2 Series Coupé.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Prominently flared wheel arches and a muscular power dome at the
  centre of the bonnet give a clear indication of the 2 Series Coupé’s
  dynamic driving characteristics.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The BMW kidney grille is horizontal in design and features vertically
  arranged air flaps at its heart in place of the classical bars.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>These open electrically when the engine has an increased requirement
  for cooling air.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The standard-fitment full-LED headlights are positioned in the outer
  reaches of the front end and have a single unit circular design that
  evokes the BMW 02.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Adaptive LED Headlights with BMW Selective Beam non-dazzling High
  Beam Assistant are offered as standard on the M240i xDrive.</p>
<p>
  <strong> </strong></p>
<p>
  <strong>Crisp lines accentuate side view, lead to powerful rear</strong></p>
<p> </p>
<p>A long bonnet, short overhangs and a set-back passenger compartment –
  whose rear section rests on flared wheel arches – headline the side
  view of the new BMW 2 Series Coupé.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Large glazed surfaces, a roofline that swoops down dynamically and a
  short boot lid with a pronounced spoiler lip are other distinctive
  features of the new 2 Series Coupé.</p>
<p>The stylishly darkened rear lights – positioned at the outer extremes
  of the rear end – have compact contours.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Their surfaces are formed by light clusters with three-dimensional
  sculpting. This provides a showcase for the LED technology in low
  light conditions.</p>
<p>
  <strong> </strong></p>
<p>
  <strong>Sporting flair and refined premium ambience for new interior</strong></p>
<p> </p>
<p>The driver-focused cockpit design and modern control panel on the
  centre console accentuate the sporting aura inside the new BMW 2
  Series Coupé.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Sport seats and a sport leather steering wheel offered as standard
  equipment in New Zealand also feed into the engaging nature of the
  driving experience.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The tapering in the rear section of the roofline, the high centre
  console and the smoothly blending surface treatment of the instrument
  panel and door panels create a cocooning, cockpit-like feel around the
  driver and front passenger.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The individual-seat design of the two rear seats provides optimum
  support for passengers while further emphasising the new coupe’s
  sporting purpose.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>High-quality materials and precise workmanship create a premium
  ambience above and beyond that of the predecessor model.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>A new design feature comes in the form of trapezoidal accent surfaces
  above the armrests in the doors, which provide a contemporary look and feel.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Alcantara/Sensatec and leather ‘Vernasca’ trims in a variety of
  colours are offered as standard for local models, alongside a
  glass/tilt sunroof nearly 20 per cent larger overall than on the
  outgoing model.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The new BMW 2 Series Coupé offers a high level of practicality with
  boot capacity of 390 litres and 35mm reduction in the height of the
  loading edge compared with the predecessor model.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Additional versatility is provided by the standard 40:20:40
  split/folding rear seat backrest.</p>
<p>
  <strong> </strong></p>
<p>
  <strong>Advanced chassis engineering with technology transfer from BMW
    4 Series</strong></p>
<p>
  <br />Exceptionally sophisticated chassis components adapted specially
  for the new BMW 2 Series Coupé from the dynamic 4 Series are designed
  to strike the ideal balance between sharp handling and ride quality.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The new model’s two-joint spring strut front axle and five-link rear
  axle minimises weight while providing increased rigidity.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The M240i xDrive comes as standard with Adaptive M suspension, a
  powerful M Sport braking system and an M Sport differential at the rear.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>19-inch M light alloy wheels further sharpen the car’s looks,
  complementing the more aggressive exterior styling packaging perfectly. </p>
<p>
  <strong> </strong></p>
<p>
  <strong>Unparalleled driving pleasure powered by four- and
    six-cylinder engines</strong></p>
<p> </p>
<p>The 3.0-litre six-cylinder in-line TwinPower Turbo engine of the BMW
  M240i xDrive delivers exemplary performance while also representing a
  unique offering in the segment. </p>
<p> </p>
<p>Its performance characteristics, thirst for revs and smoothness
  reinforce its claim to unsurpassed sporting prowess.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>With maximum output of 285kW, it develops 35kW more than the engine
  in its predecessor. Peak torque is 500Nm, helping the car accelerate
  from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The M240i xDrive Coupé shifts on an eight-speed Steptronic Sport
  transmission that delivers crisp gear changes that perfectly
  complement the unabridged nature of its power delivery.</p>
<p>
  <strong> </strong></p>
<p>
  <strong>Significantly broader selection of driver assistance systems</strong></p>
<p>
  <br />The new BMW 2 Series Coupé enhances safety and comfort with a
  significantly expanded selection of driver assistance systems compared
  with the predecessor model.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>BMW Head-Up Display – which projects essential driving-related
  information onto the windscreen comes as standard equipment, while BMW
  Drive Recorder is available on request.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
  <strong>Advanced connectivity and new digital services</strong></p>
<p>
  <br />Both driver and passengers will benefit from the extended
  possibilities enabled by the inclusion of BMW Operating System 7 on
  the 2 Series Coupé.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Drivers can select their control interface for the situation at hand:
  control display touchscreen, proven BMW iDrive controller,
  multifunction buttons on the steering wheel or voice control.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The new BMW 2 Series Coupé also gives customers onboard access to a
  range of advanced digital services, including the BMW Intelligent
  Personal Assistant, BMW Digital Key and Remote Software Upgrades.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>BMW Live Cockpit Professional, which will be standard in New Zealand,
  features a fully digital screen grouping.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>This includes a high-resolution instrument cluster behind the
  steering wheel with a screen diagonal of 12.3 inches and a 10.25-inch
  control display.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Full smartphone integration will enable the use of wireless Apple
  CarPlay and Android Auto via the car’s operating system.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The Remote Software Upgrades function allows improved vehicle
  functions and additional digital services to be imported into the car
  over the air, and customers will be able to download vehicle upgrades
  directly from the BMW Connected Store.</p>
