  <strong>Woodcliff Lake, NJ – September 1, 2019…</strong>Today, BMW

  <strong>i3s Edition RoadStyle </strong></p>
<p> </p>
<p>The i3s Edition RoadStyle features Fluid Black exterior paint with
E-Copper finishing touches to the kidney grille inlays, front bumper
air deflectors and side skirt accents. The 20-inch double-spoke light
alloy BMW i wheels are finished in Jet Black. The cabin features a
Dalbergia Brown natural leather interior with a Dark Oak matt fine
wood trim and exclusive headrests embroidered with “Edition RoadStyle”.</p>
<p>The all-electric i3s is powered by an eDrive motor producing 181 hp @
  4,100 rpm and 199 lb-ft of torque from 0 rpm. A 120 Ah / 42.2 kWh
battery allows for a range of up to 153 miles and a 0 to 60 mph sprint
  of 6.8 seconds.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The Carbon-fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) passenger cell not only
allows for a roomy and spacious interior but is also lightweight with
a total curb weight of 3,040 lbs. The BMW i3s applies the concept of
sustainability throughout using recycled plastics, renewable raw
materials and natural fibers. Over 80 percent of the surfaces visible
to the passengers are made from recycled materials or renewable resources.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
  <strong>i8 Ultimate Sophisto Edition</strong></p>
<p>
  <strong> </strong></p>
<p>The BMW i8 Ultimate Sophisto Edition is the final chapter in the
story of a very special car which, since its launch in 2014, has
become the world’s most successful plug-in-hybrid sports car.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Both the i8 Coupe and Convertible feature Sophisto Grey metallic
paint with E-Copper accents applied to the 20-inch radial-spoke BMW i
light alloy wheels, kidney grille inserts and side skirt accent. The
tailgate inlay is finished in High-gloss Black while C-pillar trim
elements in Shadowline. The brake calipers are also painted High-gloss
Black and feature blue detailing and BMW i badging.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The door sill plates display the words “Ultimate Sophisto Edition”
and an interior badge adds the car’s status as being “1 of 200”.
  E-Copper detailing carries into the i8’s interior.</p>

and 420 lb-ft of torque with all-wheel drive, a CFRP passenger cell
and an aluminum chassis to deliver an emotion-stirring, visceral
driving experience. The i8 Coupe will sprint to 60 mph from a

<p>The <strong>BMW X2</strong> made its world debut at the 2018 North
American International Auto Show in Detroit. The first-ever BMW X2 has
a distinctive exterior design that combines the fast-moving body
language and low-slung proportions of a coupe with the robust
construction of a BMW X model. The cutting-edge 2.0-liter BMW
TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder engine together with the 8-speed automatic
transmission propel this emotional sports activity coupe from 0-60 mph
in just 6.3 seconds, yielding 228 hp and a peak torque of 258 lb-ft.

<p> </p>
<p>The 2019 <strong>BMW i8 Coupe </strong>is an enhanced hybrid 2+2
seater has increased power and range over its predecessor and has been
the world’s best-selling hybrid sports car since 2014. Using optimized
BMW eDrive technology, and with hybrid-specific all-wheel drive,
combustion engine driving the rear wheels and the electric motor
driving the front wheels, the BMW i8 Coupe achieves 369 hp (12 hp more
than its predecessor), a peak torque of 184 lb-ft, and accelerates
from 0-60 mph in just 4.2 seconds with a top speed of 155 mph. The
lithium-ion battery, located centrally in the car’s underbody, and its
cell capacity has been increased from 20 to 34 Ah and a gross energy
capacity from 7.1 to 11.6 kilowatt hours.  Also showcased alongside
  the all-new BMW i8 Coupe is the <strong>BMW i8 Roadster</strong>,
which made its world debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November
2017. The BMW i8 Roadster takes the BMW i8’s combination of locally
emission-free mobility and high-caliber performance and adds a
top-down driving experience. The BMW i8 Roadster features a
retractable, all-season fabric soft-top which can open and close in
less than 16 seconds and while the vehicle is in motion at up to 31
mph. The two-seat BMW i8 Roadster stows its soft-top in the
perpendicular position in the rear of the vehicle when opened and
takes up very little space, maximizing storage capacity. The new BMW

  <strong> </strong></p>
<p>The <strong>BMW i3s</strong> is a sportier and more powerful variant
of the BMW i3, the best-selling compact battery-electric vehicle in
the premium compact segment worldwide since it launched in 2014. The
first ever BMW i3s provides an even sportier interpretation of silent
mobility with zero emissions and features a high output 184 hp
electric motor that generates peak torque of 199 lb-ft. The BMW i3s
accelerates from 0-60 mph in 6.8 seconds and has a top speed of 100
mph. The BMW i3s uses a lithium-ion high-voltage battery developed by
the BMW Group with a cell capacity of 94-ampere hours (Ah). Like the
BMW i3, the BMW i3s applies the concept of sustainability throughout
the interior and exterior of the vehicle, incorporating recycled
plastics, renewable raw materials, natural fibers, and open-pored,
unbleached eucalyptus wood in the design. <a href="http://www.bmwusanews.com/newsrelease.do?id=3072&mid="><strong>BMW

<p>
  <strong> </strong></p>
<p>The <strong>BMW X3 </strong>is the third generation of the pioneering
premium compact Sports Activity Vehicle. The dynamic handling
qualities of the BMW X3 are linked to its ideal 50:50 weight
distribution between the front and rear axles, its meticulously honed
chassis, and xDrive, BMW’s intelligent all-wheel-drive system which
debuted in 2003 in the first generation of the BMW X3. The BMW X3 uses
a 2.0 liter TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder inline gasoline engine and an
8-speed Steptronic Sport automatic transmission yielding 248 hp and a
maximum torque of 258 lb-ft, accelerating from 0-60 in 6.0 seconds
with a top speed of 130 mph. The BMW X3 xDrive30i is available in U.S.

  <strong> </strong></p>
<p>The <strong>BMW M5</strong> has been regarded as the quintessential
high performance sports sedan since its initial iteration launched in
1984. The 2018 BMW M5 marks the debut of the first ever M-specific
all-wheel drive system, M xDrive, which allows the BMW M5 to reach new
heights of dynamic performance and delivers poise in all driving
situations. Thanks to a 4.4-liter V8 engine featuring M TwinPower
Turbo technology, the BMW M5 produces 600 hp and 553 lb-ft of peak
torque, skyrocketing from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.2 seconds, making it
the quickest and most agile to date. The 2018 BMW M5 will be available

featured alongside a number of electrified BMW vehicles.  English- and
German-speaking BMW representatives will be available for interviews
throughout press days on Monday, January 15 and Tuesday, January 16 at
  the BMW Stand.</p>
<p>The all-new <strong>BMW X2 </strong>is the latest addition to the BMW
X family. The first-ever BMW X2 has a distinctive exterior design that
combines the fast-moving body language and low-slung proportions of a
coupe with the robust construction of a BMW X model. The cutting-edge
2.0-liter BMW TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder engine together with the
8-speed automatic transmission propel this emotional sports activity
coupe from 0-60 mph in just 6.3 seconds, yielding 228 hp and a peak
torque of 258 lb-ft. The BMW X2 will arrive in dealerships in spring
2018. Pricing will be announced closer to market launch. <a href="http://www.bmwusanews.com/newsrelease.do?id=3095&mid="><strong>BMW

<p> </p>
<p>The 2019 <strong>BMW i8 Coupe </strong>also makes its world debut at
the North American International Auto Show. The enhanced hybrid 2+2
seater has increased power and range over its predecessor and has been
the world’s best-selling hybrid sports car since 2014. Using optimized
BMW eDrive technology, and with hybrid-specific all-wheel drive,
combustion engine driving the rear wheels and the electric motor
driving the front wheels, the BMW i8 Coupe achieves 369 hp (12 hp more
than its predecessor), a peak torque of 184 lb-ft, and accelerates
from 0-60 mph in just 4.2 seconds (preliminary) with a top speed of
155 mph. The lithium-ion battery, located centrally in the car’s
underbody, and its cell capacity has been increased from 20 to 34 Ah
and a gross energy capacity from 7.1 to 11.6 kilowatt hours. Also
showcased alongside the all-new BMW i8 Coupe will be the <strong>BMW
i8 Roadster</strong>, which made its world debut at the Los Angeles
Auto Show in November 2017. The BMW i8 Roadster takes the BMW i8’s
combination of locally emission-free mobility and high-caliber
performance and adds a top-down driving experience. The BMW i8
Roadster features a retractable, all-season fabric soft-top which can
open and close in less than 16 seconds and while the vehicle is in
motion at up to 31 mph. The two-seat BMW i8 Roadster stows its
soft-top in the perpendicular position in the rear of the vehicle when
opened and takes up very little space, maximizing storage capacity.
The new BMW i8 Coupe and BMW i8 Roadster will be available in spring
2018. Pricing will be announced closer to market launch. <a href="http://www.bmwusanews.com/newsrelease.do?id=3115&mid="><strong>BMW

<p> </p>
<p>The new <strong>BMW i3s</strong> is a sportier and more powerful
variant of the BMW i3, the best-selling compact battery-electric
vehicle in the premium compact segment worldwide since it launched in
2014. The first ever BMW i3s provides an even sportier interpretation
of silent mobility with zero emissions and features a high output 184
hp electric motor that generates peak torque of 199 lb-ft. The BMW i3s
accelerates from 0-60 mph in 6.8 seconds and has a top speed of 100
<a href="http://www.bmwusanews.com/newsrelease.do?id=3072&mid="><strong>BMW
      i3s Press Kit</strong></a><strong>.</strong></p>
<p> </p>
<p>The <strong>BMW X7 iPerformance Concept </strong>introduces a new
model concept for the premium segment that utilizes BMW eDrive
technology with a BMW TwinPower Turbo engine creating an exceptionally
efficient and dynamic plug-in hybrid powertrain that excels in all
driving situations, including running with zero local emissions. With
  a generously-sized, six-person interior, the BMW X7 iPerformance
Concept offers an interior with a state-of-the-art infotainment system
brimming with connectivity that provide an unmatched experience by any
BMW past or present. As a result of the interplay between precise,
pared-down forms and an open sense of space, the driver and passengers
are immersed in a unique, modern setting. The production model of the
  BMW X7 will debut in 2018. <a href="http://www.bmwusanews.com/newsrelease.do?id=3076&mid=185"><strong>BMW

<p>
  <strong> </strong></p>
<p>The first-ever <strong>BMW M3 CS</strong> made its world debut at the
Los Angeles Auto Show in November 2017. It is a special-edition model
and delivers a blend of high performance and complete everyday
practicality. The extensive use of carbon fiber-reinforced plastic has
kept the BMW M3 CS extremely light and lowered the overall weight by
approximately 110 pounds less than a standard BMW M3. The M TwinPower
Turbo technology 6-cylinder inline engine produces 453 hp generating a
peak torque of 443 lb-ft and accelerates from 0-60 mph in just 3.7
seconds, making it the quickest BMW M3 to date. The BMW M3 CS will be
available to order in the U.S. starting in May 2018. Pricing will be
announced closer to market launch. <a href="http://www.bmwusanews.com/newsrelease.do?id=3108&mid="><strong>BMW

<p> </p>
The 2018 BMW M5 will be available
with a MSRP of $102,600 plus $995 Destination and Handling, appearing
  in U.S. showrooms in spring 2018. <a href="http://www.bmwusanews.com/newsrelease.do?id=3065&mid=&searchresult"><strong>BMW

<p> </p>
<p>The 2018 <strong>BMW X3 </strong>is the third generation of the
pioneering premium compact Sports Activity Vehicle. The dynamic
handling qualities of the BMW X3 are linked to its ideal 50:50 weight
distribution between the front and rear axles, its meticulously honed
chassis, and xDrive, BMW’s intelligent all-wheel-drive system which
debuted in 2003 in the first generation of the BMW X3.
The BMW X3 is available in U.S. showrooms
  with a MSRP of $42,450 plus $995 Destination and Handling. <a href="http://www.bmwusanews.com/newsrelease.do?id=3001&mid=115"><strong>BMW

<strong>Munich.</strong> BMW i will debut as the exclusive
transportation partner at the Coachella Valley Music & Art
Festival in 2017, providing VIP shuttle service and hospitality during
the weekends of April 14-16 and 21-23. BMW’s sustainable,
future-oriented brand will provide BMW i3 electric vehicles and
BMW X5 40e iPerformance plug-in hybrid electric vehicles for
transportation on and around the festival site.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>A stand-out feature of the BMW i3 fleet at Coachella is a unique wrap
that was created especially for the occasion, its design reflecting
the creative and unconventional character of the event. BMW i8 plug-in
hybrid electric sports cars with Coachella design will also take to
the roads between Los Angeles and Palm Springs with a selected group
of festival-bound celebrities and influencers on board.</p>
<p>Coachella is one of the world’s largest music festivals and provides
an ideal stage for the BMW i brand: “The wealth of ideas the artists

sustainable mobility. We are positioning the sub-brand as open-minded,

platform for this purpose, uniting creativity, passion and
connectedness. We’re looking forward to an inspirational partnership.”</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
  <strong>"Road to Coachella".</strong></p>
<p>A social media campaign entitled “Road to Coachella” kicked-off the
partnership on March 14. The campaign offers festival goers the chance
to be entered into a drawing to win a festival pass by documenting
their preparation for the festival and their own journey to Coachella
Valley via social media using the hashtag #RoadToCoachella. </p>
<p>Renowned composer and music producer Hans Zimmer (“Inception”, “Pearl
Harbor”, “The Dark Knight” and “The Lion King”) has provided the
soundtrack for a video promoting “Road to Coachella.</p>
<p>The three-minute piece, which debuted on April 9 on <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TIgl1_hgC3w">BMW’s YouTube
Channel</a>, is set to a Zimmer’s music and features the BMW i8 hybrid
electric sports car, while providing a look at his preparations as he
and his orchestra ready for their first-ever Coachella performance.
Also featured in the video are fellow Coachella performers including
Marshmello, Galantis, Ryan Rabin of Grouplove, Warpaint and Broods.</p>
<p>Furthermore, BMW i will invite visitors during the festival to visit
the innovative BMW i Brand Lounge in the VIP Area, where they can
experience up close the allure of BMW i and the unique Coachella
design, co-developed with Garage Italia Customs.</p>

<p> </p>
<p>
  <strong>Woodcliff Lake, N.J. – EMBARGO: May 1, 6:01 pm EDT / 3:01 pm
PDT…</strong> Today BMW announced that BMW i will offer a new model
range of its compact electric car, the BMW i3 and from the 2017 model
year will be offering a new version with more than 50% increased
battery capacity. The 2017 BMW i3 (94 Ah) has a capacity of 33
kilowatt hours (kWh) thanks to the higher energy density of the
lithium ion cells. The BMW i team worked to ensure that the battery
dimensions remain unchanged while still offering a significant range
increase. Even in everyday conditions 2, the new Battery Electric BMW
i3, in varying weather conditions and with the air conditioning or
heating turned on, a range of up to 114 miles combined1 (hwy/city) is
possible as shown by independent BMW testing cycles3. The driving
performance figures of the 170 hp AC synchronous electric motor remain
virtually unchanged. The motor propels the BMW i3 from 0 to 60 mph in
just over 7 seconds. This makes the BMW i3 both the sportiest and most
efficient electric vehicle in its segment with an expected EPA
electricity consumption of 27 kWh/100mi. In addition to the Battery
Electric BMW i3, the Range Extender model will also feature the 94 Ah
battery. When equipped with the Range Extender, if the driver requires
additional range, the 2-cylinder gasoline engine is switched on once
the battery is depleted to 6.5% state of charge and keeps the charge
level of the battery constant while driving and provides an additional
range thanks to a 25% larger fuel tank (2.4 gallons). With the
introduction of the BMW i3 (94 Ah), BMW i now also offers a new BMW
Home Charger Connect, a residential charging station designed for
comfortable and fast home charging featuring additional connected
functions. Pricing for the 2017 BMW i3 (94 Ah) will be released closer
  to market launch.  </p>
<p>1 Preliminary test results for BMW i3 (94 Ah) BEV.</p>
<p>2 Range achievable according to BMW range testing cycle under
everyday conditions in city environment, 68° F,
heating/air-conditioning, preheating, COMFORT driving mode. Range is
dependent on a variety of factors.</p>
<p>3 Final EPA figures still pending.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
<strong>Higher storage density of the battery cells. </strong></p>
<p>The BMW i3 (94 Ah) sets a new benchmark in its segment with 94 ampere
hours (Ah) cell capacity, 33 kWh total battery energy, and an electric
range of approximately 114 miles combined1 (hwy/city) on one full
battery charge. Consuming only 27 kWh/100mi the BMW i3 is the most
efficient car in its segment with the lowest electricity consumption
  costs of approximately 2.81 USD/100mi4.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The high-voltage battery of the BMW i3 consists of eight modules with
twelve storage cells each and its capacity has increased by more than
50% without any changes in exterior dimensions. By optimizing the
cell-internal packages with more electrolyte and adapting the active
material, BMW and Samsung SDI have succeeded in increasing cell
capacity to 94 Ah and overall battery energy to 33 kWh of which 27.2
kWh can be effectively used. The previous battery of the BMW i3 (60
  Ah) produced 22 kWh (gross)/19 kWh (net).</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The lithium ion cells used, set themselves apart in the competitive
field by achieving a special balance between high energy density,
cycle stability and safety in the case of an accident. The
high-voltage battery also has an advanced thermal management system
that keeps the battery operating in the optimal temperature range,
which further enhances performance. For example, the coolant of the
air conditioning system is responsible for cooling the high-voltage
battery very effectively, while a heating system can also be used to
warm the battery to ensure the optimal operating temperature before
starting off. Customers receive an 8-year/100,000-mile High-voltage
  Battery Warranty.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
  <strong>The BMW i3 – a benchmark in terms of sustainability.</strong></p>
<p>During the development phase of the BMW i3, the entire architecture
of the electric drivetrain was designed with the next technological
steps as well as serviceability in mind. For example, if necessary a
single battery module can be exchanged which distinguishes the BMW i3
from other competitive offers and represents an integral component of
the holistic BMW i concept of sustainability. From the production
stand point, sustainability is achieved to a large extent through the
CO2 free electricity supply of the BMW i production sites in Leipzig
(assembly) and Moses Lake (CFRP production) as well as through the use
of 70 percent less water in the production process compared to
  conventional automobiles.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>4 Calculated using 10.42 cents per kWh average in the US in 2015.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
<strong>Optimized performance delivery, more efficient drive.</strong></p>
<p>The BMW i3 is by far the lightest car in its segment. Despite the
slight weight increase, at 2,961 lbs (BEV), and 3,234 lbs (REX), the
BMW i3 (94 Ah) is characterized by driving performance, which is
subjectively as agile as the 60 Ah model variant. The BMW i3 (94 Ah)
is also powered by the same 3 phase AC synchronous electric motor
developed in-house by the BMW Group. The motor generates an output of
170 hp and delivers 184 lb-ft of torque which is available as soon as
the electric motor begins to turn. The BMW i3 (94 Ah) accelerates from
0 to 60 mph in just over 7 seconds. The impressive electric motor,
small turning circle of 32.3 feet, – a major benefit to driving in the
  city – BMW’s near-perfect 50-50 weight distribution, precise electric
power steering and the stable suspension set-up help to make the i3 as
satisfying to drive as every other BMW.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The sporty character of the BMW i3’s electric motor is also clearly
noticeable by its performance figure of 5.1 seconds accelerating from
50 to 75 mph. This is a decisive factor for enabling fast and safe
passing maneuvers, and is normally only achieved by combustion engine
powered cars with considerably higher outputs. The BMW i3 (94 Ah) is
close to the level of cars such as the (320 hp) BMW 340i. Power is
transmitted to the rear wheels via the single-speed transmission,
which the BMW i3 uses to accelerate without torque interruption to its
electronically limited top speed of 93 mph.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The electric consumption of the BMW i3 (94 Ah) has also been reduced
by a large number of detail improvements including revised electric
motor management as well as advanced low-resistance tires with
  optimized compound.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
  <strong>Charging times.</strong></p>
<p>The 7.4 kW charging electronics of the BMW i3 (94 Ah) can charge the
33 kWh battery in approximately 4.5 hours using a Level 2 charger,
which is slightly more than the approximately 3.5 hours required to
charge the battery on a BMW i3 (60 Ah). Standard equipment of the BMW
i3 includes the occasional use cable for connecting it to a domestic
power socket. Core elements such as range, hallmark BMW agility thanks
to low weight and overnight battery charging remain in place.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The BMW i3 is equipped with the future-proof 50 kW direct current
(DC) fast charging technology. When the BMW i3 (94 Ah) is connected to
a DC fast charging station, the battery cells are charged up to a
minimum of 80 percent of their capacity in less than 40 minutes. In
the BMW i3 (60 Ah) this takes around 25 minutes. This means that the
  BMW i3 (94 Ah) achieves a charging speed of 2.5 mi/min which
corresponds to 24 minutes charging time per 62 miles of range.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
<strong>Range Extender for even greater range.</strong></p>
<p>BMW i also offers a Range Extender for the BMW i3 (94 Ah).The range
of the BMW i3 is extended by a 650 cc 2-cylinder gasoline engine which
is located adjacent to the electric drive above the rear axle. The
Range Extender engine delivers a maximum output of 38 hp and powers a
generator in order to produce electricity, working on a required-based
and highly efficient principle. For those occasional times where
additional range is required, as soon as the charging level of the
lithium ion batteries drops to a specified level, the Range Extender
kicks in to keep the charging level constant effectively extending the
range. Fitting the car with the Range Extender has no influence on the
available luggage volume: the luggage compartment volume remains
unchanged at 15.1 ft3 and can be extended to 36.9 ft3 with the rear
seats folded down. The BMW i3 (94 Ah) now features a 2.4 gallon fuel
tank improving the range from the previous model.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The BMW i3 (94 Ah) with Range Extender weighs approximately an extra
270 lb compared to the Battery Electric BMW i3 but is also
characterized by a high level of agility and offers impressive
performance figures. It accelerates from zero to 60 mph in just 8 seconds.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
<strong>New equipment on the BMW i3.</strong></p>
<p>The BMW i3 (94 Ah) is now available in the exclusive Protonic Blue
metallic exterior color, previously only available in the US on the
BMW i8. The BMW i3 (94 Ah) customer can also choose from two
non-metallic paint colors (Capparis White and Fluid Black) and, in
addition to Protonic Blue, three metallic paintwork colors (Mineral
Grey, Platinum Silver and Ionic Silver).</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The Deka World is now part of the standard profile of the BMW i3 (94
Ah) and features a lightweight dark cloth fabric interior made from
recycled materials. Other changes to the standard profile include the
addition of the Universal Garage Door Opener, Advanced Real-Time
  Traffic Information, and Comfort Access.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>As part of the Tera World, a Dark Oak Wood trim is also now included,
with an alternative Light Eucalyptus Wood trim available as well.
These trims are also available for ordering with the Giga World.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The highly anticipated electric moonroof is also available for
ordering for the first time in the US. This option features individual
shades and adds to the great set of convenience features that the BMW
  i3 has to offer.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Standard profile and equipment for the BMW i3 (94 Ah) includes:
Automatic climate control, Dynamic Cruise Control, LED Headlights, HD
Radio, DC Fast Charging, Navigation Business System, BMW Assist and
BMW Teleservices. Other standard features include: the iDrive
operation system, the BMW i RemoteApp functionalities, the Driving
Dynamic Control switch, hands-free telephone operation, leather
steering wheel and Park Distance Control (PDC).</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
  <strong>BMW i3 - a success story. </strong></p>
<p>The BMW Group took on a pioneering role when it founded the BMW i
brand and decided to develop an independent vehicle structure and
passenger cells made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) as well
as BMW eDrive technology for a purely electric drive. The BMW i3,
which was designed for local emissions-free urban mobility, as well as
the trail-blazing BMW i8 Plug-in-Hybrid sports car combined with
sustainability-oriented premium character. Since the November 2013
launch, the BMW i3 has already established itself at the top of its
segment. The most important single market for the purely electric five
door BMW i3 is the U.S. More than 80 percent of buyers deciding on a
BMW i3 worldwide are new customers for the BMW Group. The BMW i3 and
the BMW i8 received a large number of awards for innovations in the
areas of lightweight construction, drive, sustainability, driving
performance and design. This makes BMW i the brand to win the most
awards in the world during its market launch phase.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
<strong>Comfortable home charging: the new BMW Home Charger Connect.</strong></p>
<p>In late 2016, BMW i will be offering the new BMW Home Charger
Connect, a residential charging station designed for comfortable and
  fast home charging.</p>
<p>The new BMW Home Charger Connect, with a more compact, sleeker
design, charges the battery of the BMW i3 (94 Ah) in approximately
four hours and 30 minutes. The charging process starts automatically
as soon as the car and charging cable are connected. The BMW Home
Charger Connect is operated using an LED interface.</p>
<p>The BMW Home Charger Connect comes standard with WiFi and will
feature innovative charging services which can be accessed remotely.
This charger helps preserve vehicle range as it can precondition the
  vehicle battery when connected.</p>

destination selected in the navigation system is beyond the car’s
range, the driver receives the suggestion to shift to the ECO PRO or
ECO PRO+ mode. Additionally, the system calculates a more efficient
alternative route. Should it be necessary to recharge at a public
charging station, the driver is shown all the available stations along
  the planned route.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>A dynamic range map is another central element of the connected
navigation unit. Apart from the current charging status of the
battery, the driving style, the activated electric comfort functions
and the selected driving mode, the topographic features, the current
traffic situation and the outside temperature are all taken into
consideration. The Advanced Real Time Traffic Information (ARTTI) data
is used for this purpose. The data is provided by the BMW
  ConnectedDrive Server.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The BMW i3 also sets standards when it comes to connecting driver and
car. The BMW i Remote App provides useful vehicle-related mobility
planning data available on the customer’s smartphone. Apart from
pedestrian navigation; navigating your way to your destination from
the parking space and back, BMW ConnectedDrive offers a so-called
intermodal routing system and for the first time in combination with
the Navigation System Professional. This also incorporates public
transport connections such as subway stops if this means you can reach
your destination quicker. From the actual trip in the BMW i3, looking
for a parking space, changing onto a metro and or a walking route, the
BMW i ConnectedDrive services take the customer to his destination efficiently.</p>

International Auto Show on Monday, January 12, at the BMW Stand at
      10:50 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. at COBO Center, One Washington Boulevard
Detroit, MI 48226. English and Spanish speaking BMW
representatives will be available for interviews throughout the
day.</span></strong>  In addition, BMW also will feature the plug-in
hybrid sports car BMW i8, the all-electric BMW i3, BMW M235i Coupe,
and other BMW vehicles at the BMW Stand.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The world debut of the 2016 BMW 6 Series and BMW M6 will be
represented in Detroit by all three body styles in the form of: the
new <strong>BMW 6 Series Convertible, BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe,
  </strong>and the <strong>BMW M6 Convertible. </strong>Through three
generations, the BMW 6 Series has stood for vehicles meeting the
highest standard of handling, comfort, technology, and elegance.
Using state-of-the-art suspension technology, the BMW 6 Series strikes
the ideal balance between agility and comfort. The two-door body of
the <strong>BMW 6 Series Coupe </strong>exudes an athletic and elegant
aesthetic, while its interior ambience is designed to comfortably
immerse four people in the ultimate driving experience. Similarly, the
<strong>BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe</strong> blends the performance and
elegance of a coupe with the functionality of a four-door vehicle.
The BMW 6 Series Coupe, Convertible and Gran Coupe will continue in
the US in the  650i and 640i models.  The BMW 650i Coupe, Convertible
and Gran Coupe are equipped with a BMW TwinPower Turbo V8 that
produces 445 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque, which is mated to an
8-speed Steptronic sport automatic transmission, accelerating from 0
to 60 in 4.4 seconds.  The BMW 640i Coupe, Convertible and Gran Coupe
use BMW’s TwinPower Turbo inline six, generating 315 horsepower, 330
lb-ft of torque, again mated to an 8-speed Steptronic sport automatic
transmission, accelerating from 0 to 60 in 5.2 seconds.  All 2016 BMW
6 Series models feature full-LED headlights as standard equipment. The
2016 <strong>BMW M6 </strong>is the latest example of the unique blend
of luxury and ultra-high performance that is unique to the BMW M
brand. The M6 will again be represented in the three 6 Series body
styles – Coupe, Gran Coupe and Convertible. In Detroit, the BMW M6
line-up will be represented by the M6 Coupe. Sporting a front end with
the now standard LED headlights and defined M-specific double-bar
kidney grille, the BMW M6 also includes the unique M gills, side
skirts, and the exclusive forged 19-inch M light-alloy wheels, with
  20-inch M light alloy wheels optional.  Using a 4.4-liter  BMW M
TwinPower Turbo V8 engine which generates 560 horsepower and 500 lb-ft
of torque, the M6 Coupe and Gran Coupe will accelerate  from 0 to 60
mph in about four seconds (4.3 seconds for the M6 Convertible). The
BMW M6 transfers the engine’s power to the rear wheels via either a
6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed M Double Clutch Transmission
with Drivelogic.  BMW 6 Series vehicles will arrive in US showrooms Q2
  2015. <a href="http://www.bmwusanews.com/newsrelease.do?&id=2233&mid="><strong>BMW

  <strong> </strong></p>
<p>The <strong>BMW i8 </strong>is the world’s first plug-in hybrid 2+2
sports-car from BMW Group.  It sits at the pinnacle of BMW i’s lineup
of visionary vehicles which are purpose built from the ground up as
electric and hybrid electric, constructed primarily from lightweight
carbon fiber. Currently in showrooms and priced at $135,700, the BMW
i8 features an athletic design and a sleek, low slung exterior and
operates with extremely high fuel efficiency. The BMW i8 has a US EPA
rating of 76 MPGe combined. It is capable of accelerating from 0 to 60
mph in 4.2 seconds on the way to an electronically governed top speed
  of 155 mph. <a href="http://www.bmwusanews.com/newsrelease.do?id=1831&mid=299"><strong>BMW

<p> </p>
<p>The <strong>BMW i3</strong> is the first fully electric vehicle from
BMW Group under BMW i’s growing lineup of visionary vehicles
constructed from the ground up primarily from lightweight carbon
fiber. With 170 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque hybrid-synchronous
electric motor, the BMW i3 is electrified by a 22-kWh lithium-ion
battery, good for approximately 80 miles of emission-free driving. The
BMW i3 offers interior space comparable to the legendary BMW 3 Series
on a shorter overall body. Its 32.3-foot turning circle and a
relatively long wheelbase make it agile and engaging to drive, yet
ideally suited to driving in dense urban areas. With a combined rating
of 124 MPGe, the BMW i3 is the most electric vehicle as rated by the
US EPA. The BMW i3 is the only electric vehicle that offers the option
of a range extender – a small gasoline engine that can act as a
generator when the battery runs low. Currently in showrooms, the BMW
i3 has a base MSRP of $41,350 and the range-extender model will have a
  starting MSRP of $45,200. <a href="http://www.bmwusanews.com/newsrelease.do?id=1766&mid=390"><strong>BMW

<p> </p>
<p>The <strong>BMW 2 Series Coupe</strong> is offered as both a 228i and
M235i, which was the first BMW M Performance Automobile to be offered
in the US. The BMW 2 Series Coupe has unmistakable BMW handling
attributes and impressive ride comfort thanks to rear-wheel drive,
longitudinally mounted engines, near-perfect 50-50 weight
distribution, and sophisticated chassis technology. Double-pivot
spring strut front suspension and five-link rear suspension feature
tuning tailored to each 2 Series model, while variable sport steering,
M Sport braking system and Adaptive M suspension with electronically
controlled shock absorbers are all standard on the M235i in the US and
optional on the 228i. The BMW 2 Series was named to <em>Car and
Driver</em> Magazine’s list of 10Best cars in its very first year. An
M Performance mechanical limited slip differential is available for
the BMW M235i Coupe through the BMW M Performance Accessories range.
The BMW 2 Series Coupe has a base MSRP of $33,025 for the 228i and
  $44,025 for the M235i, including $925 Destination and Handling fee. <a href="http://www.bmwusanews.com/newsrelease.do?id=1869&mid=401"><strong>BMW

<p> </p>
<p>BMW will also showcase advancements made to <strong>BMW
ConnectedDrive </strong>at the BMW Stand, most notably with the
over-the-air automatic map updating technology. BMW ConnectedDrive
aims to minimize driver distractions by eliminating the use of a phone
while driving and offering navigation and traffic assistance,
providing an enjoyable and individualized driving experience.</p>

gasoline engine with M Performance TwinPower Turbo technology and 320
horsepower, the market launch of the BMW 2 Series Convertible is also
available as a 228i, featuring an in-line four cylinder with BMW
TwinPower Turbo Technology and 240 horsepower.  The 228i Convertible
is available with rear wheel drive or with BMW xDrive, the company’s
intelligent all-wheel drive system. The BMW 2 Series Convertible
offers up to an 18 percent improvement in fuel economy and emissions
figures compared to its predecessor.  The electrically-operated
soft-top of the BMW 2 Series Convertible can be opened and closed in
20 seconds, even when driving at speeds up to 31 mph.  The BMW 228i
Convertible goes from 0 to 60 in 7.5 seconds, and the BMW M235i
Convertible achieves 0 to 60 in 5.2 seconds.  The BMW M Performance
Automobile is available with either a six speed manual transmission or
an eight-speed Steptronic Sport Automatic transmission.  Arriving in
US showrooms in early 2015, the BMW 2 Series Convertible has a base
MSRP of $38,850 for the 228i, $40,650 for the 228i xDrive, $48,650 for

<p>The new <strong>BMW X6 Sports Activity Coupe, </strong>BMW’s second
generation of the Sports Activity Coupe, comes with a suitably
exclusive roster of standard equipment that goes well beyond the
previous model: Xenon headlights, 19-inch light-alloy wheels,
automatic tailgate operation and the 8-speed Steptronic Sport
Automatic transmission with steering wheel shift paddles included, as
are leather trim, two-zone climate control, auto-dimming interior and
exterior mirrors and the Dynamic Digital Instrument Cluster. The BMW
X6 is offered in the U.S. in two powertrain variants, with the BMW X6
xDrive 35i using an in-line six-cylinder gasoline engine with BMW
TwinPower Turbo technology and 300 horsepower and the BMW X6 xDrive

horsepower. Both models will come with BMW xDrive, the company’s
intelligent all-wheel drive system. Cutting fuel consumption by up to
22 percent compared to its predecessor, the BMW X6 will be produced
exclusively at the company’s production facility in Spartanburg, South
Carolina, and will arrive in US showrooms in late 2014.  Pricing for

<p>In the <strong>BMW Concept X5 eDrive</strong>, the innovative
EfficientDynamics drive technology BMW eDrive and the intelligent
all-wheel drive system BMW xDrive are united for the first time,
creating the world’s first plug-in hybrid Sports Activity Vehicle. The
combination of a BMW TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder combustion engine and
a 95-horsepower electric motor provides typical BMW performance, with
BMW xDrive further increasing the dynamics. At the same time, this
powertrain is impressively efficient. It has an average fuel
efficiency of approximately 62 mpg, which is unrivalled among vehicles
in this class, with CO2 emissions of less than 90 grams per kilometer
also setting new standards. Via the driving dynamics control switch,
different drive modes can be selected. In the fully electric mode,
which is free from local emissions, a maximum range of 19 miles is
possible – at speeds of up to 75 mph. The BMW Concept X5 eDrive
obtains its electrical energy from a (lithium-ion) high-voltage
battery, which is accommodated in a space-efficient manner under the
flat luggage compartment floor. This means that the room in the
vehicle can still be used flexibly, with an almost identical luggage
space volume. The high-voltage battery can be charged quickly and
conveniently using the BMW home charging station. Alternatively, it
can be replenished using any standard household power outlet or at a
  public charging station. <strong>

lightweight carbon fiber. Currently in showrooms and priced at

constructed from the ground up primarily from lightweight carbon

electric motor, the BMW i3 is electrified by a 22-kWh lithium-ion
battery, good for approximately 80 miles of emission-free driving. The
BMW i3 offers interior space comparable to the legendary BMW 3 Series
on a shorter overall body. Its 32.3-foot turning circle and a
relatively long wheelbase make it agile and engaging to drive, yet
ideally suited to driving in dense urban areas. Currently in
showrooms, the BMW i3 has a base MSRP of $41,350 and the
range-extender model will have a starting MSRP of $45,200. <strong>

<p>The extravagant design of the <strong>BMW 5 Series Gran
Turismo</strong> represents the expression of sports performance and
luxurious long-distance comfort. With a modified front apron exuding
presence and solidity and its redesigned rear end creating a longer
and lower visual impression, the new 5 Series Gran Turismo combines
the striking elegance of a Sedan with the variable-usage interior of a
Sports Wagon model and the versatility of a Sports Activity Vehicle.
The 2014 BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo is currently available in the US as
  a 535i for $60,925, 535i xDrive for $63,225, 550i for $68,825 and 550i
  for $71,125. <strong>

<p>The <strong>BMW i3</strong> is the first fully electric vehicle from
BMW Group under BMW i’s growing lineup of visionary concept vehicles
constructed from the ground up primarily from lightweight carbon
fiber. With 170 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque hybrid-synchronous
electric motor, the BMW i3 is electrified by a 22-kWh lithium-ion
battery, good for 80-100 miles of emission-free driving. The BMW i3
will offer interior space comparable to the legendary BMW 3 Series on
a shorter overall body. Its 32.3-foot turning circle and a relatively
long wheelbase make it agile and engaging to drive, yet ideally suited
to driving in dense urban areas. Available in 2014 Q2, the BMW i3 will
have a base MSRP of $41,350 and the range-extender model will have a
  starting MSRP of $45,200. <strong>

<p>A new addition to showrooms, the <strong>BMW 4 Series Coupe</strong>
adds a new dimension to the qualities of the BMW 3 Series Coupe in
terms of aesthetics, dynamics and unbeatable driving pleasure. Built
on the tradition of the larger BMW 6 Series and BMW 8 Series Coupes,
and with a slightly longer wheelbase, wider stance and considerably
lower roofline than the BMW 3 Series Coupe, the “4” creates a strong,
athletic silhouette which exudes power even while stationary.  New
aluminum trim on functional elements such as air intakes and vents,
door openers and exterior mirrors add elegance to the design.  The BMW
Series 428i Coupe has a starting MSRP of $40,500, 428i xDrive Coupe
  for $42,500, 435i Coupe for $46,000 and 435i xDrive Coupe for $48,000. <strong>

<p>Offering notable advances over its predecessor, the new <strong>BMW
X5 </strong>sets new standards in powerful design, luxurious
spaciousness, cutting-edge versatility and efficient driving pleasure.
The X5 reveals an elegantly stretched silhouette, eye-catching swag
line over the athletically molded wheel arches, horizontal lines and
taut surfaces at the rear. With lower fuel consumption and emissions
through weight minimization, optimized air guidance and engine
technology, the X5 is the only vehicle in its segment available with
Active Steering and AdaptiveDrive, providing greater handling
capability and ride quality. The newly available rear-wheel drive 2014
  X5 sDrive35i will start at $53,725 and the 2014 BMW X5 xDrive35i is
priced at $56,025. The 2014 BMW X5 xDrive35d price is $57,525 and the
2014 BMW X5 xDrive50i will start at $69,125. The gas variants are on
sale now and diesel vehicles will be available in 2014 Q1.  The BMW X5
