Unique creation explores flexible design and production
capabilities, spotlighting the talents of MINI Design and MINI
Plant Oxford teams.

Woodcliff Lake, NJ: MINI has custom-crafted a special
one-off John Cooper Works Convertible for a longtime MINI enthusiast
in the U.S., representing a new depth of factory-led personalization
by MINI Plant Oxford.

The project began with a devoted MINI owner and a clear, personal
vision. From there, the MINI design and production teams embraced the
opportunity to explore creating a higher-level, custom-crafted vehicle.

The result: a midnight black and custom-tinted metallic green
two-tone exterior, hand-sprayed and clear-coated in the form of a
custom design where the left and right sides are color-inverted,
creating a diagonal color split across the entire exterior.

The exterior is complemented with a fully matched interior,
featuring, green stitching, painted belt covers, custom-accented
bands, a bespoke "MINI.01" badging system and personalized
labels throughout, all reflecting the colors of the owner's favorite
U.S. football team.

The soft top features a tonal Union Jack graphic, a nod to the
vehicle’s British roots and Plant Oxford heritage. Inside, the green
colorway extends across more than 50 individually specified details,
including a metallic, green-trimmed Harman Kardon speaker surround,
custom door armrest overlays, a MINI.01 steering wheel badge, a
personalized floor mat and instrument cluster identifiers. Every
interior element was prototyped and installed by hand at Plant Oxford.

“Our owners see their MINI as more than just a car, and for many, it
becomes a canvas for self-expression shaped into a true reflection of
their personality.” said Kate Alini, Head of Marketing, Product, and
Strategy, MINI USA. “This project gave us the opportunity to explore
creating a unique custom-crafted MINI specific to customer
preferences. With a vision this distinctive for a one-off car, it was
exciting to see our customer’s vision come to life.”

Markus Grüneisl, CEO of Plants Oxford and Swindon commented, “This
custom-crafted John Cooper Works Convertible represents a fantastic
collaboration between the MINI product and design teams, the local
market, and Plant Oxford production. We’re delighted with the result
and craftmanship that showcases what our team in the UK can achieve.”

As part of the BMW Group, MINI draws on deep in-house design
expertise and a tradition of highly personalized craftsmanship. This
project reflects that heritage; an exploration in creativity,
collaboration, and the craft of building something very special – not
only a car but a personal icon.

While this was a one-of-a-kind moment, the spirit and philosophy
behind it continues throughout the brand. MINI is growing its
portfolio of special editions and broadening its offering of factory
and Aftersales customization options in the segment, ensuring drivers
can tailor their cars in ways that reflect their individual preferences.

This specially crafted, fully street-legal MINI Convertible has
completed production and is now enroute to the U.S., where it will
soon be delivered to its new owner.

London / Munich. Paul Smith and MINI – two
traditional British brands have taken their partnership to the next
level and created something great: The new MINI Paul Smith Edition.
Following the MINI STRIP in 2021 and the MINI Recharged by Paul Smith
in 2022, the British designer is now bringing his world-famous design
language – ‘Classic with a twist’ – to the new MINI family. Whether
electric or combustion engine, the edition will be available for all
MINI Cooper 3-door, 5-door and Convertible models, with the exception
of the John Cooper Works models. The look and details not only show
Paul Smith’s signature style — but also the brands playful, optimistic
and independent spirit. The MINI Paul Smith Edition celebrates its
world premiere on October 29 at Japan Mobility Show in Tokyo.

“It’s not often that you see two icons of British design work
together in this way and it’s wonderful that our partnership has
carried on over so many years. The MINI Paul Smith Edition has been a
real privilege and a wonderful opportunity… new colours and new
unexpected details that will be a welcomed surprise,” adds Sir Paul
Smith, expressing his thoughts on the collaboration and the new design.

Unmistakable look with a British
twist.
Combining MINI design with Paul Smith’s
distinctive style: Exclusive exterior colours, sophisticated accents
and unexpected details bring the shared history of MINI and Paul Smith
into the present.

"MINI and Paul Smith embody a shared mindset of positivity,
embracing the motto of this edition: 'Every day is a new beginning.'
Our collaboration celebrates a mutual love for design and meticulous
attention to detail. Unexpected elements, such as the 'hello'
projection on the ground and Paul Smith’s handwritten inscription
bring a smile to your face right upon entering the car," says
Holger Hampf, Head of MINI Design.

The MINI Paul Smith Edition offers a choice of three exterior paint
finishes, two of which are edition-exclusive: Statement Grey is a
modern interpretation of the classic Mini Austin Seven colour from
1959 – a clear, bluish-tinted grey shade and self-confident statement
of timeless modernity. Inspired White is a contemporary homage to the
popular Classic Mini Beige colour, and finally the elegant and classic
Midnight Black Metallic from the current MINI Family.

Regardless of the body colour, the specially created Nottingham Green
paintwork – a tribute to Sir Paul's hometown – adds sophisticated
accents to the side mirrors, the octagonal radiator grille, the wheel
hub covers with Paul Smith lettering and as the paintwork for one of
the two roof variants.

In addition to the colour variants, numerous details characterise
Paul Smith's signature and make the MINI Paul Smith Edition
unmistakable: The ‘Signature Stripe’, a central design feature of the
British designer, adorns the roof in Nottingham Green at the rear of
the driver's side. The alternative version of the roof features
elegant stripes in Jet Black in varying thickness, both matte and
glossy. The MINI Cooper Convertible Paul Smith Edition is supplied
with a black soft top.

All edition vehicles are equipped with 18-inch Night Flash Spoke
black aluminium wheels with tinted clear coat in Dark Steel. The MINI
logo at the front and rear is offered in newly designed Black Blue and
complements the colour composition of Paul Smith and MINI. On the
black horizontal handle strip at the rear, Paul Smith's signature
refers to the creative spirit behind the vehicle design.

British restraint and elegance in the interior.

British character is also reflected in the interior with numerous
components featuring a modern, elegant look. The knitted surfaces on
the dashboard and door panels appear in black, while Paul Smith
fabrics in tone-on-tone stripe patterns serve as inspiration for the
special structure of the dashboard. The Nightshade Blue sports seats
are made of Vescin and have knitted textile in the shoulder and
headrest areas. Drawn from the Signature Stripe, the decorative
stitching on the steering wheel's textile band is designed in bright
colours - quintessentially Paul Smith.

The round display in the centre of the cockpit also appears with one
of three different Paul Smith backgrounds when Personal Mode is
selected. Small hidden details underline the British design influence
- but also the playful character of the designer: when the door is
opened, the driver and front passenger are greeted with a handwritten
‘Hello’ as a light projection on the floor and Smith's motto ‘Every
day is a new beginning’ on the door sill, reflecting the positive
mindset of both brands. A graphic of a stylized ‘rabbit’ hand-drawn
by Paul Smith on the floor mat complete the interior details.

A collaboration that blends British heritage, bold creativity
and contemporary sophistication.
MINI and Sir Paul
Smith: two icons that are not only linked by their British heritage
but also look back on exclusive collaborations resulting in unique
styling. Their joint creative success story began in 1998, when the
designer created a limited edition of the classic Mini: a specially
created blue colour and matching anthracite-coloured alloy wheels lent
the iconic model the signature of Paul Smith.

To mark the 40th birthday of the classic MINI in 1999, the fashion
designer dipped an exclusive one-off in his characteristic stripe
design, using 86 stripes in 26 colours.

In 2021, the MINI STRIP celebrated its world premiere: a vehicle
designed using only what Paul Smith considered absolutely necessary.
The result was a customised one-off car that despite its minimalist
design and in keeping with Smith's guiding principle of ‘classic with
a twist’, was not without unexpected and loving details.

In 2022, Paul Smith went back to the roots of the collaboration with
the MINI Recharged by Paul Smith. A classic found its way into the
now: a Classic Mini from the 1998 MINI Paul Smith Edition was
transformed into a modernised electric vehicle. With a focus on
quality and functionality, a contemporary vehicle was created that can
also be seen as a tribute to the tradition and heritage of the classic MINI.

Paul Smith MINI Collection
But it is not only Sir Paul Smith who inspires MINI with
creative ideas - the inspiration also works in reverse: the designer
repeatedly uses MINI as a motif on exclusive pieces in his
collections. To celebrate the launch of the MINI Paul Smith Edition,
Paul Smith will release a capsule collection of bags inspired by
details from the latest MINI collaboration.

The new MINI Convertibles.

The new generation of the MINI Convertibles rounds off the current
MINI family with a model that is full of unique features. MINI
presents the new convertible models that perfectly embodies the
brand's openness. "Always Open" - this traditional claim of
the MINI Convertibles aptly describes the model’s philosophy. The
folding roof opens fully automatically in just 18 seconds, allowing
the driver to always enjoy the breeze and sunshine. Whether in the
city, on country roads or on the highway, the MINI Convertibles offers
pure freedom and unmistakable driving pleasure.

The open-top four-seater combines space-saving proportions with
fascinating open-air driving fun. With the MINI Convertibles, one of
the most emotional models in the new MINI family returns to the MINI
plant in Oxford - the home of the British premium brand.

"We are very proud to be able to offer our customers a true
convertible in the current MINI family. Our new MINI Cooper and Cooper
S Convertible offers unmistakable, hallmark driving fun, coupled with
boundless freedom and great emotions: Always Open. Iconic design
combined with modern technology and connectivity make this vehicle an
unrivalled experience for our customers," says Stefan Richmann,
Head of the MINI brand.

For an extra dose of sunshine, the fully automatic soft top can be
opened in two ways: either like a sunroof or fully retracted. This is
still unique in the premium small car segment. The soft top disappears
behind the rear seats to save space and can also be conveniently
stowed in the luggage compartment when folded down.

In the new MINI Convertibles, open-air fans can enjoy every moment,
even with the soft top folded back. MINI is using the Always Open
Timer again for exactly this purpose. On the OLED display of the
central instrument, this shows the open top travel time offering fresh
air fans a dose of playful ease.

Globally, three efficient four-cylinder petrol engines deliver the
brand's signature go-kart feel with an impressive engine sound. Like
the new MINI Cooper, the Convertible is available in C and S versions
as well as in performance oriented JCW version.

For the US market, the MINI Cooper Convertible comes
with a 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 161
horsepower and a maximum of 184 ft-lbs. of torque. The 2.0-liter
turbo charged four-cylinder engine in the MINI Cooper S convertible is
further tuned to produce 201 horsepower and a maximum of 221 ft-lbs.
of torque.

The design emphasizes the character of the new MINI Convertibles with
clean surfaces and accentuated details. Round LED headlights and a
redesigned front grille emphasize the model's charismatic appearance
with classic design features in a modern interpretation. A variety of
exterior paints interior finishes, and fresh accents lend the new
Convertibles the brand's signature design highlights.

The fully automatic soft top can be activated at the touch of a
button and can also be fully retracted at speeds of up to 30 km/h
(18.6 mph). When the roof is closed, the sunroof function can be used
at any time with an opening length of up to 40 centimeters (15.7
inches). A wind deflector between the cockpit and the rear optimizes
airflow for a carefree open-air feeling. Innovative driver assistance
systems make driving the MINI Convertibles even safer and more
comfortable. A significant increase in digital technologies creates
new possibilities for personalizing the interior and simplifies the
use of smartphones and apps.

The exterior.

Charismatic convertible with purist design.

Compact proportions, short overhangs, and sporty wheels all give the
MINI Convertibles plenty of agility and maneuverability for maximum
driving fun. With its focused expression, the front-end signals
openness and shapes the charismatic character of the new MINI
Convertibles with high recognition value. Newly designed exterior
details enhance the striking appearance of the model, which is unique
in the premium small car segment.

The shoulder line continues into the lower part of the black soft
top. This separates the surrounding window area from the cleanly
designed body. This three-part exterior is typical of the brand. It
makes the MINI Convertibles unmistakable originals. The woven fabric
soft top is available in black and optional with a grey Union Jack, a
nod to the brand's British origins.

Hallmark design with expressive highlights.

The front end of the MINI Convertibles shows the typical face of the
brand with its iconic round headlights and the newly designed front
grille. The octagonal-shaped surround encompasses the wide air inlets
in either Vibrant Silver or gloss black.

Standard LED headlights with light signatures are available in three
versions to emphasize the car's character. A specially orchestrated
welcome and goodbye animation with MINI logo projections on the ground
of the driver's and passenger's side enhances the emotional connection
to the MINI Convertibles even before you get in.

From the side, the clean lines of the sporty body are characterized
by the striking contrast between the short overhangs and the long
wheelbase. The reduced design of the body emphasizes the elegant
impression of the vehicle's silhouette and gives the MINI Convertibles
a generous appearance despite its small exterior dimensions of 3,879
mm (152.7 inches) in length, 1,431 mm (56.3 inches) in height and
1,744 mm (68.6 inches) in width. To match the unmistakable driving
fun, the new MINI Convertibles are available with aerodynamically
optimized wheel designs in sizes ranging from 16 to 18 inches,
depending on the model variant. For the US market, a
variety of 17- and 18-inch wheels are available.

The rear view is characterized by the flush design of the vertically
aligned LED rear lights. The rear section is divided by a black handle
strip with striking model badge, whose horizontal alignment emphasizes
the MINI Convertible's wide stance.

Fully automatic fabric soft top for safe driving fun.

The high-quality soft top protects the occupants in all weathers.
Thanks to its electric and extremely quiet drive, the folding roof can
be fully opened in 18 seconds, even at speeds of up to 30 km/h (18.6
mph). At the same time, the window bars and side windows are lowered
to provide a completely unobstructed view of the surroundings. The
soft top closes in 15 seconds at the touch of a button. For fresh air
at all times, the sunroof can be opened to a length of 40 centimeters
(15.7 inches), regardless of speed.

Concealed behind the headrests at the rear of the MINI Convertible,
the integrated rollover protection system is activated automatically
as soon as the central safety electronics detect a risk of rollover.

When the soft top is open, the MINI Convertibles have a luggage
compartment volume of 160 liters (5.65 cubic feet) thanks to a
particularly space-saving folding system for the soft top, when the
soft top is closed, this expands to 215 liters (7.59 cubic feet). To
maximize the loading height of the luggage compartment, the storage
area behind the rear seats can be raised using two locking handles.
The tailgate opens downwards to facilitate loading, demonstrating once
again the versatility of the MINI Convertibles. The wind deflector
behind the driver and passenger seats can be easily locked in place.
It reduces wind noise and unwanted air turbulence when driving with
the roof open.

A dozen body finishes and three individual trims.

Globally twelve paint finishes are available for the new MINI
Convertibles, including the exclusive and elegant Copper Grey.
Optional mirror caps in Jet Black and Glazed White make a strong
statement. Three different trims (called styles in the US) further
enhance the Convertible's sporty-elegant individuality. The Classic
Trim features a black-trimmed front grille for maximum clarity. The
Favoured Trim front grille version is in Vibrant Silver grille with a
choice of 17-inch or 18-inch wheels.

The JCW Trim gives the MINI Convertibles an extremely sporty
appearance. This equipment variant inspired by motorsports has its
very own distinctive front and rear design. The front grille surround
and JCW logo are finished in high-gloss black. The rear section is
muscular in shape and the all-round trim is finished in high-gloss black.

For the US market two individual trims or what are
otherwise referred to as “styles” including Classic Style and Favoured
Style are available, along with a total of 11 paint colors.

The interior.

Minimalist, open feel that makes you feel at home.

The interior design of the new MINI Convertibles focuses on
minimalist details and textile surfaces. This is part of the new
"Charismatic Simplicity" design language of the entire MINI
family with fewer components, clever design, and high-quality
workmanship. Three key elements structure the cockpit: A sporty
steering wheel, the central OLED display, and the classic, newly
designed toggle switch bar.

Directly behind the steering wheel, the Head-up Display projects all
relevant information into the driver's field of vision. This means
that the dashboard on the driver's side does not require an additional
instrument panel and, in keeping with the open-top driving fun, allows
a clear view to the front. The textile surfaces in the cockpit are
based on a newly developed knitted material and create a pleasant
atmosphere. The two-tone fabric is made from recycled polyester and
has an easy-care texture.

Comfortable seats for the driver and front passenger add to the
modern, airy feel of the well-designed cockpit. There is a choice of
grey or black seats in a combination of synthetic leather and textile
silhouette in blue. The JCW sport seats are available in beige and
Nightshade Blue synthetic leather with contrasting stitching.

High-resolution OLED display with touch function.

The new central instrument in the cockpit of the MINI Convertibles
combine innovative technologies in an extremely flat design. The
high-quality 240 mm (9.45 inch) diameter glass surface allows the
driver and front passenger to operate all vehicle functions
conveniently by touch or voice. The innovative MINI Operating System 9
simplifies connectivity and brings apps and digital content from the
smartphone to the display. This turns the MINI Interaction Unit into
both a comfort and experience center.

Thanks to advanced OLED technology, the contents of the display are
high-contrast and easy to see, even with the soft top open and in
bright sunlight. Speed is displayed at the top of the screen, and
tapping on the speed display opens a large full-screen speedometer
that focuses on the driving experience.

The other widgets are shown in thumbnail view in the Home menu, to
the left and right of the current menu function. These can be moved to
the center and selected by means of a horizontal swiping movement. In
the lower area of the OLED display, the menu items Navigation, Media,
Telephone and Climate can be selected directly at any time.

MINI Experience Modes create immersive driving experiences.

Seven MINI Experience Modes can be selected to change the interior
ambience and highlight different aspects of the MINI Convertibles -
even with the top down. The design of the OLED display changes
depending on the selected setting and focusses on specially designed
driving experiences. In Go-Kart Mode there is a highly dynamic focus
on MINI’s racing DNA, for example. The display as well as the
dashboard and the interior door panels are then dominated by the
colors anthracite and red, while specific analogue displays for
driving dynamics complement this John Cooper Works-inspired MINI
Experience Mode.

To achieve this, two projector units behind the round instrument
panel beam special illuminated graphics with different patterns and
colors onto the dashboard when the top is closed. Changes are made to
the color scheme of the light patterns and to the ambient lighting in
the entire interior depending on the Experience Mode selected.

Personal Mode offers innovative options for a particularly
personalized cockpit design. In this mode, a personal photo can be
uploaded via the MINI app and chosen as the display background. A
digital color picker then identifies the dominant colors of the photo
for projection onto the textile dashboard surfaces. The ambient
lighting under the dashboard and in the doors are also color-coded to
match these projections.

Modern classic: Newly designed toggle switch bar.

The toggle switch bar in the center of the cockpit is a classic and
typical MINI feature. It emphasizes the emotional bond between driver
and car through its characteristic feel. In the modern cockpit of the
MINI Convertibles, this authentic feature brings the brand's history
into the present with a new design. Five individually designed toggle
switches provide direct access to the MINI Convertible's most
important driving functions (parking brake, gear selector, start/stop
button, Experience Mode toggle, volume control). This eliminates the
need for an additional gear selector and provides additional stowage
space in the center console. In addition to the cup holders,
smartphones can be easily stored on a separate shelf while being
charged via wireless charging.

Individual trims or “styles” for the interior.

For the US, two interior trim or “style” options are
available for the MINI Convertibles. Each conveys the contemporary
feel-good concept of the interior of the vehicle in a different way.
In the Classic Style, the three-spoke steering wheel has a
leather-look textile band with colored accent stitching. In addition,
a black and blue knitted surface on the instrument panel and doors
provides a rich contrast to the seats, which are available in Vescin
synthetic leather.

In the Favoured Style, the interior has a strikingly expressive
design. The instrument panel is upholstered in grey-beige houndstooth
fabric. The knitted surface in the door panels continues the friendly
interior design. JCW sport seats with additional side bolsters
noticeably enhance comfort. These are made of perforated synthetic
leather with classic accent stitching and an embroidered MINI logo in
two colors.

The drive.

Three efficient four-cylinder petrol engines.

Globally there is a choice of three advanced two-liter petrol engines
for the new MINI Convertibles. All have four cylinders and accelerate
the fun of open-air excursions.

The entry-level model is the MINI Cooper C Convertible (combined fuel
consumption: The performance-enhanced fuel consumption combined: 6.6 -
6.5 l/100 km; CO2 emissions combined: 150 - 147 g/km according to
WLTP; CO2 class: E) with a power output of 120 kW/163 hp DIN and a
maximum torque of 250 Nm (221 lb./ft). It accelerates from 0 to 100
km/h (62 mph) in 8.2 seconds. The top speed is 220 km/h (137 mph).

The performance-enhanced MINI Cooper S Convertible (fuel consumption
combined: 6.6 - 6.5 l/100 km; CO2 emissions combined: 150 - 148 g/km
according to WLTP; CO2 class: E) has a power output of 150 kW/204 hp
DIN and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 6.9 seconds with a
maximum torque of 300 Nm (221 lb./ft). It has a top speed of 237 km/h
(150 mph).

In addition to these two variants, the performance oriented MINI JCW
Convertible model to follow shortly, focuses on sportiness and maximum
driving pleasure.

For the US market, the MINI Cooper Convertible comes
with a 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 161
horsepower and a maximum of 184 ft-lbs. of torque, moving the car from
0-60 mph in 7.9 seconds. The 2.0-liter turbo charged four-cylinder
engine in the MINI Cooper S convertible is further tuned to produce
201 horsepower and a maximum of 221 ft-lbs. of torque, propelling the
car from 0-60 mph in 6.7 seconds. US EPA fuel economy figures for both
models will be published once they are available. Information on the
MINI JCW Convertible for the US will follow shortly.

Open-air rides with outstanding driving dynamics.

The MINI Convertibles are equipped with a suspension and damping
system tuned for agile handling. The MINI typical precise steering
also makes the open-top model an attractive cornering artist. It also
ensures a high level of safety and comfort. Highly preloaded anti-roll
bar mounts on the axles support the steering precision. This gives the
convertible a well-balanced ride when cornering. Selective tuning of
the steering and all stability control systems also ensure a safe and
exceptional driving experience in all driving situations.

Digital services.

The new MINI Intelligent Personal Assistant.

A spoken "Hey MINI!" activates the first fully-fledged
voice assistant of the brand in the MINI Convertibles. Alternatively,
the push-to-talk steering wheel button is also available for this
purpose. Communication with the virtual travel partner – either a
stylized MINI or the character “Spike” – is particularly fluent and
intuitive thanks to improved speech recognition. Voice-controlled
interaction is supported by animated graphic elements, typography, and
the avatar on the OLED display. Navigation, telephony, entertainment,
and numerous vehicle functions can be controlled simply and
conveniently by speaking the relevant command.

The MINI Intelligent Personal Assistant learns continuously through
dialogue and can take on day-to-day tasks on repeated routes. For
example, the system uses geospatial data to identify the entrance to
the car park and can automatically open the window at the right time.
This means that individual routines can be handled more conveniently.

Progressive assistance systems increase safety.

The optional Driving Assistant Plus Package provides the MINI
Convertibles with an additional Steering and Lane Assistant for
lateral guidance. Adaptable and cooperative steering helps the driver
stay on track. The increased comfort provided by the system relieves
the driver of monotonous and less demanding aspects of driving. The
clear, uncluttered design of the displays and controls and the
easy-to-understand functions contribute to high system reliability.

Thanks to twelve ultrasonic sensors and four Surround View cameras,
the Parking Assistant Professional in the MINI Convertibles can detect
free parking spaces and initiate parking maneuvers automatically where
space is limited. The Panorama View allows for better visibility of
the surrounding area when the view is obscured by other vehicles. For
additional control over the MINI, the Remote 3D View allows images to
be transferred to a mobile device.

Easy-to-use connectivity and intuitive interaction.

The newly designed user interface in the OLED display of the MINI
Convertibles combine functional and emotional elements. Its minimalist
design adapts the new graphics to the circular shape of the MINI
Interaction Unit, simplifying operation by means of a clear structure.
Static and dynamic elements combined with micro-animations ensure that
the interaction between the driver and the central instrument is as
harmonious and intuitive as possible. In this way, the MINI Operating
System 9 gives the MINI Convertibles a distinctly digital character.

In the center of the screen is the start menu, where a horizontal
swiping motion is used to select and start personalized content. At
the bottom of the screen is the fixed status bar with the menu items
“Navigation”, “Media”, “Telephony”, “All Apps” and, depending on the
situation, “Home”, all of which can be selected directly. A so-called
toolbelt can be called up by swiping upwards from the bottom edge of
the screen. Favorite functions, e.g. navigation destinations and radio
stations, can be saved here and accessed quickly at any time, just
like on the smartphone. The toolbelt can also be activated via the
star button on the multifunction steering wheel. The upper screen area
is reserved for driving-related content such as speed and important
vehicle status information. The standard Head-up Display presents the
most important information directly in the driver’s line of sight.

Depending on the Experience Mode, a single tap on the speed display
transforms the entire MINI Interaction Unit into a typical MINI
speedometer. The temperature is shown permanently for the driver and
front passenger at the left and right-hand edge of the screen. The
climate settings are always integrated at the top level of the MINI
Interaction Unit and are operated by either touch or voice.

MINI Connected upgrades allow additional driving functions to be
activated flexibly at any time, including an optional augmented
reality function that can visualize complicated turning situations
realistically and in three-dimensional display, for example. In
conjunction with the optionally available MINI Connected Package, the
digital MINI Connected Store provides access to a constantly evolving
variety of practical and entertaining apps, including in the areas of
gaming, music, and video streaming.

US pricing and availability

For the US market the MINI Cooper Convertible will have a base MSRP
of $33,950, plus $995 destination and handling. The more powerful and
sporty MINI Cooper S Convertible will have a base MSRP of $37,200 plus
$995 destination and handling. Both models are expected to arrive at
US dealers, early January of 2025. More information on the MINI JCW
Convertible including US pricing and market arrival will be shared as
soon as it is available.

World premiere at "MINI takes the States" in the USA.</pp:summary>

Munich/Asheville. Sunshine, rising temperatures,
fresh green scenery: Right on time for summer, MINI is presenting the
all-electric MINI Cooper SE as a convertible for the first time. Not
as a series production version, but as a unique specimen that shows
how the path to an all-electric premium brand could continue and also
electrify classic sporty open-air driving in the future. As an open
four-seater, the MINI Cooper SE Convertible is the world's only
premium convertible with a fully electric drivetrain in the small car
segment. With this frontrunner, the British premium brand combines
classic sportiness, maximum open-top driving fun and locally
emission-free electric mobility for the first time.

The one-off model will be shown to the public for the first time at
the traditional community event "MINI Takes the States" in
the USA. The winding roads between Burlington in Vermont and
Greenville-Spartanburg in South Carolina are perfect for giving the
assembled MINI community a first impression of the typical MINI
go-kart feeling in the outfit of a MINI Cooper SE Convertible.

The unique specimen is based on the body of the MINI Cooper S
Convertible. The electrified MINI Convertible also shares the
dimensions of 3,863 mm in length with a wheelbase of 2,495 mm, a width
of 1,727 mm and a height of 2,495 mm. The load volume in the luggage
compartment also remains unchanged at 160 l.

The drive technology comes from the BMW Group's electric mobility
competence centres in Dingolfing and Landshut. The MINI Cooper SE
Convertible uses the same drive components as the three-door MINI
Cooper SE. The exceptionally harmonious axle load distribution due to
the small electric motor favours agile and easily controllable
handling. With the top down now in the future, too.

The 135 kW/184 hp electric motor, like in the MINI Cooper SE,
transfers the agile handling with the hallmark go-kart feeling to the
world of electric mobility and enables acceleration from a standstill
to 100 km/h in 7.7 seconds. With a range of 230 kilometres determined
in the WLTP test cycle, open-air excursions in urban environments as
well as well beyond the city limits are possible. The MINI Cooper SE
Convertible combines open-top driving fun with clever functionality.
The fully electric and thus particularly quiet textile soft top can be
opened and closed within 18 seconds. At the touch of a button, the
soft top can be activated when driving up to 30 km/h and allows three
settings: open, closed or as a sunroof.

With this one-off, MINI is appealing to the ever-growing fan
community of the brand's hallmark open-air driving fun and, at the
same time, electrifying the global vehicle market with another segment
- sustainably, transparently and comprehensibly. The successful
transformation of the MINI brand to electric mobility is demonstrated
particularly impressively by the example of the MINI Cooper SE model.
With growth of plus 132%, the model was the pulse generator for the
MINI brand in 2021. In Germany, the largest market for the MINI Cooper
SE, almost every third MINI is already electrified. To make this
enthusiasm for electrified driving sustainable, MINI makes every day
charging easy and convenient. MINI Charging provides MINI drivers in
Germany with flexible solutions for charging at home and at work, as
well as access to one of the largest public charging networks in
Europe, comprising more than 250,000 charging points.

Woodcliff Lake, N.J., January 26, 2021. –
MINI USA today unveiled the new
MY 2022 MINI Hardtops and
MINI Convertibles. The modern interpretation of the brand’s most
iconic models, the new MINI Hardtops and Convertibles receive
significant updates to the exterior, interior and infotainment and
driving safety features while remaining authentic to the elements of
the MINI DNA, including fun to drive, expressive design and personalization.

These new Hardtop and Convertible models will start production in
March 2021 and will include the MINI Hardtop 2 Door (Cooper, Cooper S,
Cooper SE and John Cooper Works), the MINI Hardtop 4 Door (Cooper and
Cooper S) and the MINI Convertible (Cooper, Cooper S and John Cooper
Works) variants.

Exterior Design Highlights.

The new MINI Hardtops and Convertibles come with an array of
brand-new exterior content that will excite both loyal MINI
enthusiasts and new customers interested in getting behind the wheel
of the definitive, premium small car in the U.S.

At the front end, the new MINI Hardtops and Convertibles feature the
integration of air curtains on the front bumper and removal of the fog
lights to further enhance the clarity of the front end and provide
improved aerodynamics. The front end now also features a new single
unbroken hexagon front grille that extends low to the road with the
safety bar now hidden underneath a body color panel, further
accentuating the look of the iconic and recognizable face of the MINI.
To meet the need for increased air cooling, the Cooper S and John
Cooper Works variants also include a pair of air intakes with
high-gloss black surrounds to the left and right of the central intake.

The new rear bumpers also feature visual changes that give the MINI a
widened geometry to emphasize a wider stance and sportiness. The rear
apron also picks up the hexagonal graphic from the front end, while
the iconic twin-tailpipe exhaust system is framed to sophisticated
effect in one sweeping movement by body-colored surfaces. The MINI
John Cooper Works also now features an eye-catching diffuser to
provide the tail of the car with dynamic racing intent.

The MINI Hardtops and Convertibles also feature new side scuttle
designs and wheel arch trims also help emphasis the sportiness of the
vehicle. The existing wheel portfolio is also enriched to include new
17” and 18” wheels, including the new 18” Circuit Spoke 2-tone and the
new 18” Pulse Spoke 2-tone.

In addition to three new exterior colors, including Island Blue,
Rooftop Grey and Zesty Yellow, the new MINI Hardtops are available
with a Multitone Roof, a color gradient of Soul Blue, Pearly Aqua, and
Jet Black in combination with black mirror caps. This is a unique
feature in the automotive industry thanks to a new, innovative
painting technology at Plant Oxford.

The new MINI Hardtops and Convertibles also come standard with LED
headlights with a high global back inner housing. Along the side, the
new models have a modernized side scuttle design including LED
indicators and model specific inserts. Standard LED Headlights are
coupled together with our unique Union Jack LED Taillights, which will
also be included in every new MINI Hardtop and Convertible. For those
seeking even more personalization and style, the optional Piano Black
Exterior is now available on door handles, fuel lid (Cooper S/JCW),
exhaust end pipes (Cooper/Cooper S), MINI Logos and model badges
(Cooper/Cooper S/Cooper SE) in black.

Interior Design Highlights.

The new MINI Hardtops and Convertibles also include a variety of new
features and content in the interior, with a strong focus on
Infotainment & Digitalization.

When hopping into the cockpit, the driver and passenger will no doubt
notice the 8.8“-screen embedded in the center instrument design, which
is now standard on all models. It is combined with the all-new user
experience with a completely modernized look & feel, configurable
live widgets and two available color schemes (Lounge & Sport). New
for the updated models, Sirius Satellite Radio is now also standard on
all MINIs across the range as of Model Year 22. The new and
contemporary interior atmosphere is rounded off by the new MINI
Ambient Light with 6 different colors always matching perfectly to the
selected mode.

In the cooler climates, the driver will also quickly notice the
heated steering wheel that guarantees warm hands and comfort for
maximum driving experience, even on the coldest days. The newly
designed steering wheel also comes with horizontal spokes, buttons
integrated in even surface with Piano Black finish, as well as a new
design for the lower spoke in both steering wheel variants & sport
steering wheel in leather is standard.

The new MINI Hardtops and Convertibles will now also
feature increased safety with our Driving Assistant available as
standard on all U.S. bound MINIs, with the inclusion of Lane Departure
Warning which can actively alert the driver through steering wheel
vibration. Drivers can also enjoy the comfort of our extended Active
Cruise Control, which is now able to break down to 0 mph (only with
automatic and dual clutch transmission).

The New MINI Cooper SE.

The new enhancements made to the MINI Hardtops certainly does not
exclude the MINI Cooper SE. The fully electric variant of the MINI
Hardtop will get the same exterior updates to the front and rear
bumpers, side scuttles and front grille, along with the Piano Black
Exterior contents mentioned above and the Multitone roof. The MINI
Cooper SE creates its own identity with its yellow-accented 'S' and
closed-off radiator grille. Additional wheels will be available for
the MINI Cooper SE as of March 2021, including 16” Victory Spoke
black, 17” Tentacle Spoke black and 17” Scissor Spoke 2-tone.

The MINI Cooper SE will also receive most of the interior updates as
well, including the new steering wheel design, new center instrument
design with 8.8” screen, heated steering wheel, lane departure
warning, and Sirius Satellite Radio as standard.

MINI Electric Collection 2021.

With the MINI Electric Collection 2021 we will be introducing a
unique and progressive limited edition for the MINI Cooper SE.
Carefully selected adaptations on interior and exterior underline the
Collection’s individual character and uniqueness.

U.S. Market Pricing

Despite all the new standard equipment upgrades, including the
addition of LED Headlights, a new Digital Instrument Cluster, Lane
Departure Warning and all the aesthetic updates, the MY 2022 MINI
Hardtops and Convertibles will see only a $500 increase across most
trim levels. At the same time, several highly popular trim levels will
see no price increase from MY 2021 to MY 2022, including the Signature
and Iconic trims on the MINI Cooper S Hardtop and MINI Cooper S
Convertible, the Iconic trim on the MINI John Cooper Works Hardtop and
MINI John Cooper Works Convertible. The Signature trim for both the
MINI John Cooper Works Hardtop and the MINI John Cooper Works
Convertible received a larger increase due to the addition of optional
equipment to those trim levels.

For the third straight model year, the MINI Cooper SE will not see a
price increase and will remain at a with a Manufacturer’s
Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $29,900 plus an
additional $850 Destination & Handling fee.

Woodcliff Lake, N.J., July 1, 2019. The year 2020 is
poised to be a big one for MINI USA as it launches two vehicles that
represent both ends of the spectrum of the brand – electric mobility
and high- performance. With its first purely electrically powered
vehicle, the MINI Cooper SE, coming early in 2020, and the MINI John
Cooper Works GP launching later in the year, MINI USA is excited to
add to its current lineup of vehicles, some of which are also
receiving updates for model year 2020.

Most significantly, the 2020 John Cooper Works Clubman ALL4 and 2020
John Cooper Works Countryman ALL4 both gain a new generation engine
that cross the 300 hp threshold, allowing each model to reach 60 mph
in 4.9 and 5.1 seconds, respectively. In addition, the MINI Clubman
gets a model refresh that includes new interior and exterior enhancements.

New MINI John Cooper Works Countryman and Clubman

The 2020 John Cooper Works Clubman ALL4 and 2020 John Cooper Works
Countryman ALL4 gain a new generation engine that puts out 301 hp. The
new MINI John Cooper Works Clubman turns in an acceleration of 0-62
mph (0-100 km/h) in 4.9 seconds, with the new MINI John Cooper Works
Countryman achieving the same in 5.1 seconds – 1.4 and 1.5 seconds
faster than in the respective previous models.

Both of these high-performance variants will also feature lower
sports suspensions by 10mm, larger exhaust pipes by 10mm, four-piston
brake calipers with 14.2-inch front brake rotors, and 13-inch rear
brake rotors, and can reach top speeds of 155 mph.

2020 MINI Clubman – Refresh

For the 2020 model year the MINI Clubman gets a model refresh that
includes the following enhancements.

Introduction of two new colors: Coral Red Metallic and MINI Yours
Enigmatic Black Metallic

Redesigned front end featuring redesigned grill, piano black
exterior trim, new headlight design, and redesigned LED fog lights

New exterior mirror cap design for improved aerodynamics

New MINI Yours interior style – Frozen Blue

LED fog lights and rear lights in Union Jack design

Two new exterior paint colors.
The extensive range of exterior paint colors available for the
new MINI Clubman now adds two variants: Coral Red Metallic and MINI
Yours Enigmatic Black Metallic.

Very British: rear lights in Union Jack design.
The rear lights also feature a new design in conjunction with
standard LED headlights. As a clear reference to the brand's British
DNA, the upright light units at the rear of the new MINI Clubman now
adopt the Union Jack design that appears on the MINI Hardtop 2 Door,
the MINI Hardtop 4 Door and the MINI Convertible.

The striking flag motif is recreated in the structure of the light
functions. The turn indicators are horizontally arranged, and the
brake lights have a vertical and horizontal element with the taillight
additionally representing the diagonal lines of the British flag. In
order to ensure a particularly harmonious lighting effect, all light
sources forming the Union Jack graphic use LED technology.

two-dimensional "flat design". As such, the MINI logo
reflects the new brand identity with its focus on the essentials –
namely key values such as driving fun, distinctive design, premium
quality and emotional appeal.

that can be designed by customers themselves, which are then produced

door is left open.

Woodcliff Lake, NJ – October 22, 2015
–
MINI USA introduced today the newest addition to its iconic
product line, the new MINI Convertible. As the first open top MINI
powered by BMW Group engines and architecture, the new MINI
Convertible is a premium four-seater soft-top convertible that is
both practical and customizable for unlimited open-air motoring
fun.

Like all other MINI models in the product portfolio, the new
MINI Convertible is made for individualization, setting the new
standard in the premium convertible market. It offers a choice of 11
exterior color options, including the new Caribbean Aqua, which
harkens back to the classic MINI color palette, ideal for the
fun-loving enthusiast, and Melting Silver, recently introduced on
the new MINI Clubman, a cool and modern finish perfect for the open
air thrill seeker.

The customization carries over to the interior with a number of
premium seating
options available, including a new Malt Brown leather with
diamond-stitching reminiscent of classic English Chesterfield
sofas. Convertible enthusiasts looking for even more style can
opt for the new MINI Yours soft-top featuring an embroidered Union
Jack with herringbone patterned detailing.

“The new MINI Convertible has a great balance of playful
personalization and sophistication. It’s open-top driving without
compromise,” said David Duncan, vice president MINI of the Americas.
“The bespoke levels of customization set it apart from other
convertibles on the market, while the front wheel drive BMW
architecture and engines make it fun-to-drive and practical in any
driving conditions.”

Powered by BMW Group-developed three- and four-cylinder
MINI TwinPower Turbo Technology engines, the new MINI Convertible will
come standard with an efficient six-speed manual transmission. With
the three-cylinder Cooper version and four-cylinder Cooper S, the new
MINI Convertible presents customers a choice of two powerful, highly
efficient TwinPower Turbo engines developed by the BMW Group and built
in Europe. In keeping with MINI tradition for authentic,
driver-involving motoring, both the Cooper Convertible and Cooper S
Convertible come standard with a 6-speed manual transmission.
Alternatively, the new MINI Convertible can be equipped with a smooth,
quick-shifting 6-speed Steptronic automatic transmission.

This premium four-seater convertible has an emphasis on
practicality, with an easy-load and load-through function that makes
the cargo space both accessible and functional. The rigid frame and
invisible roll bar enhance both the safety of the vehicle and also
provide improved acoustics, allowing for more long-distance comfort
and sporty driving dynamics. Drivers will also appreciate the
unique multi-way top settings, including a sunroof option which
enables the soft-top to open midway for just the right amount of sun
and air.

The new MINI Convertible is equipped with an “Always Open
Timer,” providing convertible enthusiasts with the ability to
calculate the number of hours they’ve driven with the top down. It
will also come standard with the MINI Connected infotainment
system including a 6.5-inch high-resolution screen. In addition, an
optional larger 8.8-inch display includes naviation and a clever rain
warning app, which notifies drivers of impending storms so they
can prepare their vehicle for inclement weather.

The new MINI Convertible, available in both Cooper and Cooper S
variants, will go on sale in March 2016 at MINI dealers across the
U.S. Pricing will be announced in January. For full vehicle
