BMW Group Canada announces pricing for the All-New BMW X3

Whitby, Ontario...BMW Group Canada announced today the availability of the
all-new BMW X3 for Model Year 2004. Offered with two engine choices, pricing is
set at $44,600 for the X3 2.5i and $49,850 for the X3 3.0i. Limited allocation
of the X3 3.0i will reach Canadian retailers in late November, with the X3 2.5i
following in the new year.

Built upon the successful theme of the BMW X5, the all-new BMW X3 continues the
tradition of a Sports Activity Vehicle with sport sedan qualities. Power is
available through BMW's renowned in-line six cylinder engines in either 2.5 or
3.0 litre guise. Mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 5 speed automatic with
Steptronic, the X3 delivers the dynamic handling characteristics that one
expects from BMW.

As is traditional with all new BMW's, groundbreaking technology is featured
prominently in the design. In the case of the X3 the new technology that is
featured is xDrive, an all-wheel drive system that allows the driving force or
torque to be distributed variably and infinitely between the front and rear
axles. Without any intervention from the driver xDrive acts proactively to
provide the best possible acceleration, traction and stability at all times and
in all conditions.

The interior of the X3 offers both comfort and functionality through a large
load area. Practical stowing solutions and a large selection of equipment
options make the X3 an extremely versatile SAV. Some of the key offerings
include;

* Standard Front and side airbags for the driver and passenger with Head
Protection System (HPS) for both front and rear passengers. Rear side airbags
are available as an option.
* Standard Trailer Stability Control, a system that recognizes the impending
build-up of a swing and prevents it through application of Dynamic Stability
Control.
* Standard Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), Dynamic Stability Control
(DSC-X for all wheel drive), Hill Descent Control (HDC), Xenon headlights in
low and high beam and Adaptive break lights.
* A maximum capacity of 1560 litres of cargo space.
* Numerous packages and stand-alone options that allow any X3 to be
personalized. Notables include Adaptive headlights and twin section Panorama
sunroof.
